Очень прикольный двухмерный стелс-платформер c использованием стихийной магии в своей геймплейной основе. У героя есть огненные способности (метание файерболов для поджигания предметов и дыма для ослепления врагов, а также кратковременный взлёт на огненно-пердильной тяге), водные (заморозка, создание небольших ледяных кубов или пузыря для полёта) и земляные (лозы для вскарабкивания или опутывания NPC, трава для пряток, парашют при пикировании вниз). Причём чтобы что-то сотворить, конкретную стихию сначала нужно взять из окружающего мира — факелов/костров, водоёмов/снега, травы/кустарников. И всё эти навыки, конечно, не сразу даются, а по мере прохождения, более того — замаксить их полностью можно лишь на НГ++. Под финал первого прохождения также прокачиваются довольно имбовые вещи типа живой воды или телепорта при помощи растения в заранее заготовленную точку. Ещё с собой можно носить осколки метеорита с разными пассивными абилками — аналог костяных амулетов из Dishonored, максимум 3 штуки одновременно.

В Wildfire используется системный подход, когда все механики взаимосвязаны и окружение реагирует на твои действия: всё, что горит, можно поджечь, горящее — тушить, а мёртвое (людей, животных или флору) — оживить; на льду враг подскользнётся, от бегущей горящей курицы словит панику, а если поймать его в пузырь и запустить в небо, то разобьётся о поверхность при падении. В общем, как проходить небольшие уровни и решать поставленные перед ним задачи — игрок решает исходя из имеющихся у него на данный момент возможностей и собственной смекалки. Хотя мочить всех и вся, особенно в первое прохождение, будет трудно: главный персонаж слаб и лишается жизни-сердечка с одной вражеской тычки, прямых боевых абилок у него нет (убийственная комбинация «опутать лозами и поджечь» станет доступна лишь во второй половине игры), к тому же доп. очки для прокачки тут дают за пацифизм и незаметность, а не рубилово (хотя никто и не запрещает) — это всё-таки стелс как-никак. Поэтому придётся тихо сидеть в траве, поменьше шуметь при перемещении и юзать стихии для отвлечения/стана/паники врагов. А вот уже на НГ+, обладая почти полным магическим инструментарием, можно и повеселиться, попутно выполняя различные условия на уровнях для 100% — тут реально интересно выполнять ачивки, что обычно редкость в играх. Уж на что я не люблю спидраны — всё равно с удовольствием потел и пытался придумать, как пролететь уровень за 1,5 минуты вместо стандартных 20 с прятками в кустах и обходом врагов.

Короче, Wildfire точно понравится тем, кто любит игры за широту геймплейных возможностей и кому не чужды стелс-элементы.

Fine at start, but somewhere after mountains its become too easy with overpowered hero.
Water freezing can turn any number of guards into sleeping piles. Then can lift up that heavy knights to throw and knock out some more guards...
Whats need is glibal alarm system, when people is warning others, mchange behavior, lock doors, waking beasts...

Also, I did hope for more using of that great underground lava demon and fellow battlecat.

배경 그래픽은 정말 좋다.
퍼즐잠입액션이고 임무들깨면서 진행하려면, 풀숲에 대기타면서 경비병들이 다른쪽으로 가길 기다리는 상황이 너무 자주나온다. 20초정도 풀숲에서 그냥 가만히 기다리는 상황이 너무 지루하다. 한스테이지를 여러번깨면서 여러가지 임무들에 도전할 수 있도록 되어 있는데, 재미를 못느끼겠다. 경비병들 겁주면서, 시민들 구출해야되는데, 너무 답답하다. 예시영상에서 나오는 액션감은 느낄수가 없다. 실제로는 상당히 정적으로 플레이하게 된다. 물원소구하고 좀더 진행해봤는데, 플레이 스타일이 바뀌지 않는거 같아 여기서 진행을 포기하기로 함.

作為潛行遊戲而言，多人遊戲的關卡設計堪稱糟糕。

建議還是單人遊玩。
多人雖然沒有友傷，不過找上的朋友不一定能和你一起搭配遊玩。感覺上很像玩LOL，單靠一人也無法力挽狂瀾。

最大的缺點是，不能拋棄隊友，一定要復活他。然後隊友總死在奇怪的地方：陷阱、要趴下才能進入的裂縫、尖刺、敵人之間。
隊友和累贅一樣。

Criminally underrated stealth action side-scroller with immersive sim elements. The design is quite genius the way it encourages you to replay levels to complete optional objectives, like no kills or no reloads. Pairing a few objectives together make interesting choices and challenges for each run.

The interaction between systems has lots of room for chaos where even failure is fun and recoverable. The story and art are serviceable, but not absolutely stellar. However, the graphics are mostly very readable and have their own charm. Co-op is nearly seamless and adds to the experience, though the slower pace and puzzle elements might not be for every player.

The only issue I had was the save system, where selecting 'new game' instantly deleted my progress without even a confirmation screen.

Big recommend for stealth fans. I hope the studio does more in the future, I'll keep an eye out.

Yeah I did not enjoy this at all. I don't think it's a bad game but it's not something I can enjoy. I realized this once I got spotted and tried to throw a panic fireball at someone, only for them to just swing their sword and tank it. Like. Huh? Let me set these hoes on fire! You also cannot jump over people to avoid being hit if you're on the same platform as them, even though the height of the jump would suggest you can. Also as others have mentioned, text boxes are quite slow, and you cannot speed them up.Oh, and for some reason this very small game (in storage size) takes around 10 seconds before it opens, which is very odd to me. 60fps cap is also an odd choice.

I like the gameplay of this game but I especially like the structure. It's a 2D stealth platformer broken up into multiple self-contained stages with an overarching world map and upgrades system from the points you earn both from finding things in stages and completing objectives.

I really dislike having to replay parts of the same game which often tempts me to use a walkthrough instead of playing blind but the structure used in this case makes the multiple runs still feel good to do. The multiple objectives you can often hit more than one just by doing the stage blind and then do the next few runs in a specific way to hit the others. The speedrun achievement just requires hitting the par time on each individual stage so no having a 3 hour run get wasted on single bad stage. Plus since there's upgrades if you need to you can wait on a particularly hard objective until later.

Having the game all broken down into short self contain stages makes it a lot more palatable to re-run stages for the objectives and gives the overall game a pleasant feeling checklist of things to complete. I will add one significant minus that I was hoping would only be the intro stage but seems to happen on at least 2 others, sometimes completing a stage leads to a cutscene-like stage that you have to beat in order to save the progress of the actual stage you have objectives on. So now, re-running certain stages has a bunch of pointless repetition with no consequence every time I try to obtain another objective. I didn't restart a stage after failing an optional objective since I thought I'd need to restart anyway so might as well just finish it as is, but now I find out there's an unskippable sequence with a bobcat after finishing that I'm now going to have to repeat since there wasn't even a way to exit it other than finishing it.

I bought this game because it looked like a fun co-op game to play with my wife who is not a gamer.
I then proceeded to download it and play it solo...and I beat it solo...haha.
Really fun game.

It has a lot of replay value if one is interested in trying different play styles as every magic branch has the different mobility needed to get where you need to go.
After beating the game you also get to play again but with all your upgrade points available for redistribution, so if you want to pretend you are a fire, water, or earth-plant bender you can.
Unfortunetly there didn't seem to be a way to unlock wind or air magic, which I think would be really cool.

Me da pena que este juego tenga pocas reseñas, lo que lo he disfrutado y sobretodo lo que he me he reido no tiene precio, viendo arder a los enemigos ATERRORIZADOS por sí mismos arder o por un compañero de guardia, como de un saltito en la oscuridad se acojonan y huyen de ti, o como caes de gran altura encima de un pobre desafortunado por sorpresa para ambos, amortiguando el impacto. Nunca me había encontrado con un juego así, por lo que me ha sorprendido gratamente la variedad de mecánicas elementales. Por otro lado, tiene un píxel art precioso que da vida a bosques y montañas y escenarios impresionantes.

Veo comentarios que dicen no haber acción, es un juego de sigilo amigos, no obstante puedes hacer CADA misión a tu gusto, caos o sigilo, y algunas misiones me he encontrado con cuenta atrás. Obviamente es un juego humilde y hace lo que puede pero en mi opinión todo lo hace bien. En mi caso demasiadas esquirlas que no he llegado a usar (hay como 60 items equipables que dan efectos) y algún bug insignificante.
Otra cosa que me ha gustado son los desafíos de speedrun, sin detecciones, sin asesinatos y demás objetivos opcionales que si optas hacerlos te obligan a ser creativo con cada intento y así usar el entorno y esquirlas de diferente forma.

Conclusión: lo recomiendo enormemente, mucho contenido para su precio, rejugable y si vas con ganas te recomiendo que lo juegues tranquilamente, lo disfrutarás.

Really had something good going for the first few levels, but even what seems like halfway through the game it just becomes very unsatisfying to try and fully complete level, much less play some levels the first time. Each level design feels exactly the same regardless of where in the game you are, so variety only comes from upgrades which are a pain to try get across all levels. Overall if you get it for cheap maybe worth checking out but definitely not worth trying to fully complete the game.

Wildfire is a 2D side-scrolling stealth game with immersive sim elements. You play as a witch using elemental magic (fire, water and earth) to sneak past guards in order to rescue your kidnapped villagers. The plot does a decent job of motivating you forward, along with having a nice little twist at the end. But the gameplay is the real highlight of the experience. You are rewarded for finding clever uses for your abilities to circumvent obstacles. For example, you can use fire to burn a nearby thicket to cause the guards to panic and run away, giving you the chance to sneak past. However, doing so may risk you getting hurt in the fire, as well as removing said bush as a potential hiding spot. Instead, you might turn the fireball into smoke, stunning a guard for long enough to get past anyway. Or using the fire to give your jump a rocket boost, allowing you to soar over the obstacle. And this is not getting into what you can do with water or earth. Each level has multiple ways to complete its objectives, rewarding experimentation with badass moments.

In addition, each level has multiple objectives, completing each of which earns you ability points to upgrade your character. These bonus objectives include completing an extra, harder objective, finishing under a certain time limit, rescuing all imprisoned villagers in a level, avoiding detection or killing anyone, etc. They do not need to be completed in a single run, allowing you to focus on certain objectives per play through and encouraging you to replay the level multiple times. There are also more skills and passive boons that there are opportunities to collect them, encouraging players to dip into New Game+.

The game controls very smoothly, with fluid movement and clear indication of when you are hidden, where your projectile is aimed at, and what will happen when it reaches its destination. I did encounter a few bugs, most notably in the level where you save your imprisoned lynx, but the majority of the game had no issues. I did not like menu navigation, I needed to use the escape key a lot to move between menu’s and often felt trapped within them.

Graphically, praise must be given to the legibility of the pixel art on display. While it is not the more stunning pixel artwork in gaming, you are never in any doubt as to what objects in the world are intractable and which ones aren’t. Good use of colour also helps with highlighting objects of note. In a late game level, you come across a fountain with flowing blue water. The game's art direction makes it clear that this is a source of water, and not just a bit of set dressing. The sound design is also great, giving good feedback for things such as where guards are in your proximity.

The game felt great to play, plus all the bonus objectives and robust New Game+ mode gives this game plenty of replayability. The immersive sim elements work excellently with the stealth gameplay, leading to plenty of cool moments.

На удивление приятная игра. Купил всего за 100 рублей, а удовольствия получил море. Это как 2D Dishonored, у вас есть закрытая локация, цель и дополнительное условие. Вы можете проходить уровни агрессивно, можете по стелсу, даже встроен спидран, можно получить ачивку за уровни на скорость. При этом, чтобы соблюсти все условия, уровни приходится проходить несколько раз, используя разные тактики, что повышает реиграбельность. У нас в распоряжении три стихии, их мы можем использовать, чтобы устранять врагов или помогать себе построить маршрут. Как именно и какие стихии использовать - решаете только вы, игра даёт широкий инструментарий для разнообразного прохождения. Из минусов могу выделить маленькое количество уровней (хотя их проработка очень неплохая), а также то, что вы за 1 игру не вкачаете никак все навыки. Кстати, крайне рекомендую включить два усложнения: 1 жизнь и урон от падения. Я вообще не понимаю почему это отключено, с этими настройками играется намного интереснее.

Я за 15 часов прошёл весь сюжет, закрыл все уровни на все цели, но НГ+ уже не проходил, поднадоело. В целом очень классный 2D стелс-экшн

Игра будто соткана из плохо сочетаемых механик, переходящих в крайности. прохождение делится либо на оголтелое "спидранерство" уровня, либо на через чур сильно затянутый стелс и сидение в траве. Некоторые взаимодействия с противником никак не освещаются (можно удушить/усыпить опоннента дымом или передислоцировать врага подниманием водяными шарами в воздух). Уровни подразумевают повторное перепрохождение, но делать это скучно, затянуто и не интересно. Причем к стелсу тут принуждают, так как наш герой в прямом бою беззащитный и может только делать "засады" на противника поджигая мосты под ним, поджигая поля с двух сторон, или сбрасывая того (если позволяет окружение) с высот вводя в панику.
Как по мне игра на 3.7/10 баллов.

Bellissimo mix di generi dalla pixel art ispirata ed atmosferica.
Meccaniche di platforming complesse ma intuitive basate su fisica e sfruttamento degli elementi, coadiuvate da sezioni furtive e di "salvataggio ostaggi" davvero ben fatte.
Ciliegina sulla torta? Giocabile in cooperativa sullo stesso schermo con chi si preferisce.

I remember it, but I don't.. and I played it 2 hours.. I'd remember a 2 hour movie.. typically... Same with a game, right? But there is a certain type of movie that you do forget, and it's the same for video games. lol

Let me explain. I mean - I do remember playing this game, now, but I didn't. I was looking through my steam library and was surprised when I saw I had 2 hours in this game, I thought "What is that?" Otherwise - I would have completely forgotten it!

The mechanics were a bit tedious if I remember, and the pixel art is uninspiring.

It is a fun game but one thing that is a real bummer is at some point there is someone using the fourth element, wind. And instead of allowing you to access it to in NG+ they just completely neglected it. I was really anticipating unlocking it personally, but alas no luck. Other than that it is a very fun game, and I'd still recommend it, I just wish I knew that going in.

Awesome game! Perfect on its own. The one thing for me is the dialogue, using "they" everytime for every character breakes immersion and sometimes makes it hard to understand if the text refeers to one individual or the group for the NPCs, yet i do understand that its is a budget and inclusive stunt when its about the PCs since the text can be one for all.

This is good in it's own right, I suppose, but three things really bug me:

1. The text boxes are PAINFULLY slow, and there's no way to speed them up. You're required to sit through them for some missions and that makes restarting more annoying.
2. The game is poorly optimised. Often as soon as I use the fire/physics mechanics my game starts lagging like crazy, and I have a fairly high-end(ish) pc that meets the requirements.
3. Some of the speedrun challenges legit seem impossible/unreasonably difficult. This is a stealth game, which are generally meant to be slow, so I'm not sure why they're even there in the first place.

Beautiful pixel art, nice music and fun gameplay. You can't fight directly, instead relying on the environment to deal with enemies. Pitfalls, burning alive in a bush, suffocating and falling asleep in smoke etc.
There are some fun combos you can do with your magic, but it's not really use-able in singleplayer. Like trapping an enemy in vines and then setting them on fire.

It's a stealth puzzle platformer first and foremost. I really disliked the final boss and a few levels, but otherwise it was fun.

When I first saw Wildfire I thought it was a cool stealth platformer in which you use magic to take out your enemies; I couldn't be more wrong. The game instead shoves a story down your throat when I want to just play it, has annoying NPC screams, and your magic can't really kill enemies. I throw a fireball at an enemy and instead of them just dying or taking damage, their temperature goes up, and boy they can stay hot for a long time before they ignite and actually catch on fire. Another point to note is I played this game with another person, yet this game was still boring as hell not only for myself but even for my friend. If I was able to refund this game, I would do it in a heartbeat.

游戏为像素画风，画面精美，色彩丰富，该有的细节全都有，主角操控的三种元素力量，看似单一，但把技能等级升上去后，不同元素就能组合出不同的衍生技，看得出来制作组在游戏性上下了很大功夫，同样，关卡设计也十分用心，逻辑性很强，加上主角的各种技能，过关方式并不唯一，可重复游玩性极高。
中文翻译也做到了信达雅，非常诙谐幽默。
唯一一个不像缺点的缺点，就是完美通关条件太苛刻了，真的苦逼了手残党和成就党（笑哭）

Played on Deck. The general idea of a stealth platformer was quite appealing.
But the controls are annoyingly wonky; several times I wasn't able to move the way I wanted to, and sometimes that just leads to a softlock and you have to restart the mission.
Also, escort missions, of which this game has a lot, generally s*ck balls.

The game has steals, but it's questionable.
The game has lore and story, but I consider it's weaker than the ones we all write in a school.
The game has all the magic abilities, but it's lesser about combining them or something.

I've played with a friend and the game quite fun and with good visuals and music appearance, even though co-op is just simpler single-player. The only thing I really wished is more role-play drive like if the one player had only water, and the other one had only fire. Or something like that.

The game even has kind of replayability, but I don't think we will.

Разнообразный геймплей и механики не дают заскучать ни на секунду. Выбор стиля прохождения уровней остается за игроками: от максимального стелса до полной ликвидации всех врагов на уровне всевозможными способами.

Отдельно отмечу режим коопа, который не в стиле "каждый сам за себя", а действительно создан для командной работы, где нужно продумывать совместные тактики и приходить друг другу на взаимовыручку.

Это лучшая игра в которую я когда либо играл. Уровень проработанности деталей такой же как у гениального Кодзимы, огонь передается по траве, рыцари в доспехах не могут плавать и тонут в воде, и еще тысячи мелких деталей.

p.s. игра поощряет отсутствие насилия и стелс как в играх Кодзимы. Однако когда убиваешь первого охранника утапливая его во льду, входишь во вкус)))
как итог, у меня никто не выжил))))

Wildfire was a total surprise. I only picked it up because I got my Steam Deck and grabbed something random from my library—turns out it’s been sitting there from some past sale. I had no idea it was a stealth game until I read the description, and even more interesting, it plays with the four elements: fire, water, earth, and air. The stealth mechanics are super smooth, and the 2D puzzles are surprisingly clever—honestly feels like 2D stealth can be more creative (or maybe just more fun) than 3D because of the limitations. That said, the difficulty can be a bit much if you’re the type who wants 100% completion; it borders on frustrating and kills the replay value for me. The pixel art is great, though the music is pretty forgettable. I probably wouldn’t have played this if it wasn’t for the Steam Deck, but I’m glad I did.

This game was a lot of chaos, clumsiness, and panic. Thankfully the enemy AI is very forgiving most of the time, so you don't have to restart if you get detected, you just lose some optional challenges. We somehow always had enough resources even though I always thought we would run out of fire. In co-op it's double the chaos and clumsiness, but don't get me wrong, the controls are not that clumsy, it was mostly just us, and sometimes also Steam Remote Play randomly switching who's controlling which character, because there wasn't enough screaming and fire and falling off of platforms already. Derp/10 would fail and flop and burn my way to the castle again.

I'm really digging this platformer, it's simple, intuitive and very creatively crafted. Puzzles are not too difficult, some are challenging, others I just passed by sheer luck. Having a good time with this one and looking forward to playing it more. This game kinda makes me thing of how dangerous fire can really be and has reminded me to stay vigilant when dealing with anything that uses fire. Plays perfectly on my Steam Deck.

It's pretty fun.

+Many optional objectives.
-Enemy AI is pretty bad.
-Once you get the earth powers they kind of break the game since it lets you carry around a piece of concealment you can deploy anywhere. Enemies will not even notice that there's suddenly a bush in the corridor they walked down ten seconds ago, even if it's a completely inappropriate place for grass like indoors.

You're free to experiment with elements and objects. Many levels felt just like a fun sandbox because only one of objects is mandatory and the rest are optional.
Last act felt rushed and final boss just... sucked. You need to lend 12 hits with a long wait between them and a pattern of boss attacks do change only on the last 4 hits.
In the end the overal exprerience worth it.

操作有时有些蹩手，比如投掷，手柄松扳机键有时投掷不出火焰。
另外就是各种条件，对于完美主义者很折磨。想完美通关至少要二周目，但我觉得他并不值得。

ステルスゲーの皮を被った高難易度アクションゲー。
ステルスゲーがやりたいならオススメはしない。

割と正確な操作を要求されるのに操作性がすこぶる悪い。
思ったような動きを主人公がしてくれないので徹頭徹尾ストレスが溜まる。

それでいてステージ毎に「○分以内にクリアしろ」という
全プレイヤーをRTA走者だと思っているチャレンジがある。

任意のタイミングでセーブができない。
オートセーブが1つだけあるが、意味がわからない時にセーブされるので
詰んだ状態から再開される事も多発し、
チェックポイントからの再開からだと何分も前からやり直す羽目になるという事も多い。
ちなみにノーロードクリアというチャレンジも毎ステージあるので安心して欲しい。

ラスボス戦はこの劣悪な操作性で高難易度アクションを
やらされるので覚悟しておくように。
私はクリアは無理でした。

ラスボス戦で別ゲーになるゲームは滅べばいいと思います。

私はアクションゲームが好きなのですが、迫りくる敵を反射神経を集中させて派手でアクロバティックなアクションで倒して進んで行くタイプのゲームをやるのが少ししんどいと感じるようになっていました。
しかしこの作品は今まで私がプレイしてきたアクションゲームとは違い、物陰に潜んで極力騒ぎを起こさず誰も殺さないようにする方法をじっくり考えてから行動するのが基本的な攻略スタイルなのでアクションゲームなのにも関わらず落ち着いた気持ちでプレイする事が出来ました。

1周目をクリアしたらレビューを書くつもりだったのですがとても面白い作品なのですぐに熱が冷めず、2周目をクリアしたところで気持ちが落ち着いたのでレビューを書かせていただきました。

余談なのですが私が初めてプレイした時は画面にノイズが発生してプレイに支障が出たので開発者様に相談し、色々と試してみたところビデオの設定で「垂直同期」と「代替の垂直同期」を解除するとノイズがほぼ発生しなくなりました。

In all seriousness, I love this game! I'm only an hour in, but the gameplay is great. Nice mechanics. The save system is better than 90% of side scrolling games. The co-op gameplay sounds interesting.
There's chickens! You can throw fire and things burn. It's actually recommended to burn things.
The story is intriguing as well. I can't wait to play some more.

Also, a bad guy released the lever that was holding the gate open, it fell as I was walking through the gateway(?) and killed me. Hilarious game.

还算可以的横版潜行游戏，主角开局经典残疾人，你要能力全解锁一周目还不够，最少得二周目，但说实话前面给关卡打全收集就已经够折磨人了，实在是没有开二周目的动力，关卡设计也中规中矩吧，没什么出彩的地方，也没什么明显的短板，解法不太算是千篇一律，但可惜的是三种能力没办法相互搭配，除了藤蔓烧人之外，感觉本该可以有更多的搭配，例如土元素可以催生更多的草地，而不是一个只能转换一个，或者水元素催生更多草地，延长藤蔓，火元素可以丢到水里制造蒸汽，做出不带窒息效果的硫磺矿烟雾掩盖主角，土元素能从草转换成土，制造出地刺陷阱，或者是头顶的悬石刺，在敌人经过的时候砸下来，做出泥地减缓敌人速度，或者直接造个土块让本来敌人能爬上来的地方爬不上来等等……
游戏几乎没剧情，而且最后结局的剧情有点低能的说实话，算是个小品级游戏，没事的时候玩一玩还可以，没有手动存档的功能很难受，游戏本身的底子很不错，如果做深度拓展的绝对可以成为一个精品游戏，但可惜止步于此了，后面的关卡有很明显的赶工内容，又或许是内容有点太同质化，玩到后面感觉没有一开始体验的好，但终归是……呃……怎么说呢，闲着玩可以，真花个几十块我还是建议你去买别的吧，有点鸡肋，但也不是不能玩。

Al tocar el meteorito una extraña energía se apodera de nosotros, otorgándonos un poder dormido. Lamentablemente somos descubiertos por los soldados, quienes nos condenan a ser quemado en la hoguera. Sin embargo, cuando todo parecía perdido y comenzamos a arder, el poder del meteorito despierta, otorgándonos el poder de canalizar el fuego. Tras huir de la aldea en ruinas, solo y desorientado, deberemos tomar las riendas de la situación, buscar la manera de acabar con la Archiduquesa y rescatar a los últimos supervivientes de nuestro pueblo. El juego nos ofrece una premisa novedosa e interesante en comparación con otros títulos del género. Por un lado, estará el control de los elementos, principalmente el fuego, el cual podremos usar para prender objetos, crear bombas de humo o propulsarnos en el aire. Además, aprenderemos a controlar el agua/hielo, la tierra o el aire, otorgándonos interesantes habilidades. Por otro lado, primará el sigilo por encima de la acción. Los enemigos son complicados de abatir cuerpo a cuerpo, por lo que deberemos hacer uso de nuestras habilidades para esquivarlos, dejarlos fuera de combate o atemorizarlos y que salgan huyendo. También podremos recoger pedazos de meteorito que podemos equipar para que nos recompensen con nuevas habilidades elementales.
Wildfire es una aventura dividida en distintos capítulos y misiones. En cada una tendremos objetivos principales y una serie de retos opcionales que le darán mucha rejugabilidad a la aventura, como por ejemplo superar una determinada misión sin morir, sin matar, sin ser vistos o en speedrun. Completar estos objetivos nos darán puntos de habilidad que servirán para mejorar nuestros poderes. Estos puntos elementales también podrán obtenerse haciendo ofrendas en altares durante las partidas. A nivel gráfico, Wildfire nos regala un pixel art alucinante, lleno de detalles y con unos efectos de físicas muy llamativos y bien logrados.

Uno de los mayores potenciales de Wildfire es que nos permite usar los elementos de maneras variadas y originales, lo cual hace que podamos superar a enemigos y obstáculos de distintas formas. El hecho de poder priorizar la mejora de un elemento u otro también consigue que cada partida sea diferente, pues el set de habilidades del que dispondremos será variable. Una historia sencilla pero interesante, que hace de telón de fondo para un juego original y muy bien pulido, con gran rejugabilidad y unos gráficos excelentes. Completar el juego al 100% me ha llevado unas 21 horas (pasándomelo un par de veces). Funciona muy bien en Steam Deck y además, incluye un modo cooperativo para jugar con un amigo, quizás innecesario en este tipo de juegos, pero un extra que seguro que a alguien le resulta interesante.
Lo salvaría de un incendio! 👨‍🚒👍🔥

I wanted to thumbs up this game but occasionally the gameplay is just idiotic and the puzzles rely on going back and forth.

For example saving villagers is just such a dumb chore most of the time. They can only be freed from the shackles by fire, then making them to follow you around is tedious. I picked up a villager who couldnt climb a vine and went back to get the second one who was in shackles. Had no fire nearby so I ran back again for the 3rd time (the first too was to bring earth element to make vines). So I throw fire at the shackles and they explode throwing flaming wood everywhere. Vine catches fire and the first villager standing next to it, lets himself burn to death instead of moving one step away.

Not to mention the fire throwing aspect itself. When i first unlocked fire i figured why not throw flaming bolts at the swordsmen? Nah, it just bounces right off. Why should their clothes burn?

Unlocking abilities is cool, so is upgrading them, taking the element you want to upgrade to that statue and throwing it in. But the fun ends there since upgrading offers just a tiny advantage. For example the Fire jump from 3,6 meters goes to 4. Or the vine creation from 4 meters to 5 or something. Upgrading the Pillar abilities or whatever their name is, is just as tedious and more. You need to gather a lot of it, just to be able to upgrade Fetch Elements from 3,78 to 4,2, then to 4,8 and so on.

One of the things you must do to score more pillar points in every stage, is a) remain undetected for some reason and b) dont kill the foes that burned your home village, burned you alive, killed your friends, enslave innocents, buried you alive etc. Why?

Although b looks easy since you cannot harm them; fire bounces off, if their O2 is depleted they just go to sleep etc. Only way for them to die is if they jump from terror to their deaths or they're trapped in a fire you started.

Anyway it looked like a nice idea for a game and you can enjoy it, but personally I dont anymore. I'll just return to it occasionally to see where it leads.

Very enjoyable side scroller type game, with some nice and innovative improvements over the old scroller type games. Puzzles not too hard, yet, and levelling / level challenges also enyoyable. The dialogue boxes reminded me of Zeliard, which i really really hope they oneday make a modern remake of. That and Blackthorne, another super special classic that i wish they would do a modern remake of!

Extremely enjoyable game. Havent played it in years so the only issue I had was remembering some controls. Biggest thing is how to knock out enemies. Man was that the most annoying thing to remember that there is no button for like a stealth takedown but you need to be up like 5 stories and drop exactly on their head for them to maybe fall asleep.

Story was enjoyable. Good challenge. One thing I hate is that you need to play the game at least twice for many of the achievements and abilities since there is no way to get enough ability points to even try every ability.

Would highly recommend.

Fantastic game, I thoroughly enjoyed playing. Very well polished and fun!

There are a couple of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ here and there that I hope the developers can fix
- Mouse isn't locked to the screen, would often wander over to my second monitor and when I click, clicks out of the game, extremely annoying and most detrimental in the boss fight.
- Not sure if it glitched out but my entire progress was wiped, after I started new game plus, I quit the game during the opening mission, upon relaunch, my save file is gone.

Its a shame cause I wanted to play the new game+, might just play through the whole story again, it is very fun!

Note: I put about 30 hours into this game. Some offline hours on Steam Deck (which it runs great on btw!)

I really enjoyed the premise of the game! Controls felt very tight. A lot of different options use your elemental powers. Most of the levels allow the player to complete them in various different paths, which I found quite impressive for a stealth game! The optional achievements are also very fun to go for! This game provides quite a unique experience!

I did find a few bugs/glitches such as being able to throw villagers through walls, and some shard abilities can be abused through the reload autosave function, but nothing gamebreaking.

I have a few criticisms about the game in case any devs read this. But I wouldn't let these criticisms deter anyone from buying the game. I felt the reload autosave function to be quite exploitative. There's no real risk for making a mistake, and this also caused a few glitches.
Another critique is the amount of end game content. The first 3 "chapters" are quite well done, but once you start the 4th chapter, the levels become much larger. And I think these levels are where the game really shines! However, there are only about 5 end game levels or so. I would have loved to see more!
The last critique is that I felt like it took many points to level up the earth/fire/water abilities. The final abilities for these (transplant flower, smoke rise, rejuvenate) are really great ability concepts, but by the time I had unlocked them, I was already in New Game+. I already knew how to complete every level so I didn't have much use for these abilities.

I know this review seems like I wrote more about my critiques than positives, but I still found this to be a very enjoyable game!
