Juego de lucha entretenido, barato y sencillo inspirados en los árcades de street figther 2 de los años 90, con un total de 8 luchadores cada uno con sus motivaciones y sus roles en la sociedad, con historias entrelazadas entre sí, supuestamente existe una ola de delincuencia grave que se ha liberado entre policías y terroristas en las calles de corea del sur y tienes que descubrir quien es el mentor entre las sombras de la corrupción en la ciudad de Neo Seúl.
Cada personaje tiene movimientos que se ejecutan fácilmente con patadas y golpes además de armas especiales como pistolas, bombas, ácidos o metralletas, pero la mayoría hay que recargarlas para evitar que los jugadores las spameen. Algunos combates requieren que cumplas algunos objetivos por ejemplo que ganes usando alguna arma de tu arsenal o ganar sobreviviendo al límite de tiempo, etcétera.
Al igual que otros juegos de lucha a medida que completes los modos historia y árcades puedes desbloquear y probar otros modos, por ejemplo el modo duelo que consiste básicamente en quien da el primer golpe gana, luego se desbloquea el modo turbo, una vez superado dar paso al modo experto (solo varía la dificultad, no he visto mucha diferencia).
Visualmente no desagrada a la vista, tiene esa onda de juego de sega genesis de 16 bit con colores violetas y neón, la música es aceptable y no es repetitiva, si hurgan en los archivos de steam están las pistas para escucharlas individualmente.
El juego es entretenido para pasar el rato, lamentablemente no cuenta con modo on line, solo para el combate local, viene totalmente en ingles, es compatible con Joystick en este caso usé el de Xbox S, cuesta menos de 5 dólares en steam y en oferta 2 dólares, por lo tanto es muy accesible para unas horas de entretenimiento
For a fighting game that isn't too difficult to master & with 2D retro graphics , I have to say this game is pretty awesome. The music is groovy and doesn't get annoying which is a plus. There isn't too much depth too this game but it does have Easter eggs to unlock in other players to play in the game. The is cheap enough for you too not cry about on how expensive it is either so buy it :vggyeong:

- Story mode regularly feels unnecessarily and frustratingly restrictive
A lot of abilities and interactions, and no guidance regarding them made it hard to approach and understand what was happening and why. The story mode gives [i]some[/i] progression and guidance by requiring you to use specific abilities, but at the same time, it often leads to wrong approaches and very hard matchups with enemies fighting like usual.
One example is the “survive x time”, implying you have to evade and escape. But I noticed fighting like usual is the best approach, interrupting and knocking away the enemy.
Another is having to grab enemies or another subset of abilities, which can be very frustrating and completely up to luck to succeed, depending on the enemies and their strengths.
For me, the number of abilities seemed too much, more confusing than approachable. The variance across characters was interesting, as well as the ammunition and reload mechanic. Due to a lack of experience with fighting games in particular, I can't speak about these aspects and the qualities compared to other fighting games.

It was pretty fun, some of the characters def have a spam ability you can just keep hitting over and over to finish matches. But going for the achievement made me stop and learn their movesets otherwise you're not winning. I'm not much in this genre of game but still had fun. 操作が変に凝ってるとか受け付けないとかもなく、普通に動いて普通にボコれてコンビニコーヒー一杯分のストレス解消は出来て楽しかった良かったぜ枠のゲーム。ワンコイン（硬貨の大きさは時価）のゲームとしては十分上出来で期待したものを素直にお出しされるという感じなので、私はこのゲームを勧めておきたいと思う。

Из киллер-фич — возможность надеть наручники на врага, при этом он некоторое время может только убегать, но не может атаковать в ответ.
Ещё есть история на каждого персонажа (если это можно так назвать).
8 бойцов (+ альтернативные облики, открываемые в аркаде), прикольный 8-битный звук, довольно отзывчивое управление и УЖАСАЮЩИЙ урон, ошибившегося противника можно ушатать секунд за 10-15, а удачное комбо просто сносит пол полоски врага.

A cool fighting game of cops & robbers where half the characters have a throw option, while the others can handcuff opponents to limit their movement and attacks. Doing this right at the end of the match scores an arrest, and it's fun to go for a complete set in a run through story mode.
I found myself preferring the side of the law, for this handcuff mechanic. As along with the ranged attacks, it adds a little more variety to the move sets. Which are otherwise likely a bit limited for serious devotees of the genre, but good for someone, like I was when I tried the game out, looking for a lighter arcade fighting game experience.

Fighting game with 8 characters to choose from and seperate story mode for each individual. To my surprise controls are tight and responsive so no sloppy job here. Soundtrack is nice and sounds are quite good. Game setting is all about crime and cops so nothing out of book. There's only plenty of attacks for each character and game feels quite unbalanced. Some attacks are way more powerful than the others especially ranged weapons which guarantee easy path to victory. Overall you will not miss much by skipping this title. Play it if you're craving for some fighting action.

The art is OK, but there has been far better pixel art with a richer colour palette. The characters are interesting and have appropriately cheesy dialogue, but there is virtually no story to be seen in the story mode. However, the balance and AI are far and away what ruins this game. The characters do have a number of different moves between them and the backstab/arrest mechanic is cool, but they are wildly unbalanced, to the point where you put yourself at a disadvantage if you use certain ones. On top of that, the AI is incredibly cheap and has a clear hit priority bias and is able to execute multiple combo moves in rapid succession. Blocking also either doesn't work at all or only works when it feels like it.
There's good and unique ideas in here, but the execution just feels amateurish and makes the game frustrating. There are far better 2D fighters and brawlers on this platform.

If you expect any story you won't find it here. It's set in South Korea which is pretty unusual but the cast of characters which represent South Korea and that you can choose in Story Mode aren't really that much memorable.
The AI is ♥♥♥♥♥ to fight against, the moves are slow, the specials are almost nonexistent and the objectives that you have to perform are nothing but annoyance adding to the diffuculty.
I'm not Fighting Game Fan but I played better ones.

다른 의미에서 정신 나간 (1차 주인공이 아내와 딸을 살해한 자를 찾아나선 경찰인데 '소주 병나발'을 분다.) 센스의 단순한 격투 게임을 필요로 한다면... 그런데 이런걸 필요로 할 사람이 정말로 있긴 할까?
일단 '추천' 박고는 가는데, 이걸 반드시 플레이해야 한다던가 하는 뜻은 아니다. 드넓은 세상에 이딴것도 나왔다는 약간의 흔적 남김 정도. 메이저 격투 게임들 엄청 발전한것들 많으니까 어지간하면 그것들 하는게 낫긴 할거다.

Considering the affordable price, I would consider this game extremely worth it as a big fighting game enjoyer myself. The main reason I decided to give it a shot is the fact that there are many aspects in this game that reminds me a lot of Street Fighter II, and that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool. Once you get into the character selection screen you'll see how much it looks like Street Fighter II, even some characters moves are similar to some Street Fighter II characters, and the developers took an interesting approach on that one, I'll tell you that.
But unfortunately, the game has some issues that I think the developers could've put some more effort on:
• Combos are not optimized
-> I can't 100% guarantee that it's possible to do infinite combos in this game, but I do feel like sometimes some attacks should not CHAIN by any means. For example, there are some characters that can use fire shots as projectiles. Let's say you're using a character that shots thrice at a time, if you time it just right you will be able to do a 6 hit combo and I personally feel like this should be illegal as the opponent don't even get the chance to dodge or defend the projectiles. Imagine playing as Ryu and spamming fireballs endlessly and the opponent just loses the round if you time the fireballs correctly. I honestly have no clue if this is intentional or not in Verdict Guilty but still.
• Pausing game screen
-> This is more of a silly feature that could also be improved but it isn't that big of a deal after some hours of gameplay. The thing is that when you pause the game during a round by pressing "esc", you may accidentally press esc again with the intention to resume the game, and if you do press "esc" again, you will be taken back to the menu screen, causing you to lose all your progress. This happened to me a few times as I never press enter to resume a game, this might not happen to you but I think they could at least add another window that pops up when you press "esc" for the second time asking if you are sure that you really wanna go back to the menu.
And finally, the game difficulty (which I do not consider to be an issue, cuz I haven't played the entire game and haven't messed with the game settings (I don't even know if there are settings that allows you to change the game difficulty) due to that, I am not considering this a complete issue, but I do feel like the game is just too easy overall, you can spam anything you want and YOU WIN the round regardless. there are no strategies to win a round. Pick any character you want and just press one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ button the entire game and you'll see how easy it is to win a game. But it's what I said, that's just my 1 hour experience and I don't know if you can spice up the game difficulty, and I'd apologize if I am mistaken.
Overall, Verdict Guilty is a good game for its price, If you get the chance to purchase it and you enjoy fighting games, just do it, keeping in mind that the game has a few negative points.

Outro grande diferencial é a temática, cujo a qual se baseia em uma trama policial, onde podemos jogar tanto com os policiais quanto com os bandidos. This game is nostalgia at its best. Sure it's not as great as many famous 2D fighting games around us but it's fun and the gameplay is quite simple. Each of the character backgrounds are interesting, some are baddies while some others are do gooders. Plus you can handcuff the perps, just like real cops! Alrighty then, better stop before I'm rambling on any kind of spoilers of this game. (^_^)d

I don't know what I was expecting. I probably wasn't expecting anything. I don't expect much in my life these days. I just try to wake up and do something, you know? I just try to wake up and try to do one thing that might make my life a little better. A walk. Maybe text someone I haven't seen in a while. But it's hard, right? It shouldn't be that hard just to stay afloat. Anyway, I really liked that this felt like Eternal Champions for the Sega Genesis.
Pretty fun retro fighter. Campaign mode does a good job of introducing you to the character's movesets. If you're into fighting games, you'll likely enjoy this (I'm not).

A unique fighter they deserves more love.
Fun little game of a retro arcade style fighter with a nostalgic cops vs robbers theme. Sad it doesn't have any online but it has a decent amount of single player content (arcade, story, survival mode) and is well made. Also, if you have any friends, which is highly improbable and unlikely, you play local via remote play or parsec.
Simple but fun & original.
Got it on sale for 99p, & @ that price it's easily worth it.
It would be nice if you could run it in windowed mode.
The story mode for each character is highly entertaining and the art throughout the game is great. Thumbs up.

Pulp novels were cheaply produced books that were often had a fun, trashy and oddly progressive feel to them.
That's the same feel I get from this game. Sure, It's "bad" but in a really fun sort of way.
Every character has something broken about them and can easily infinitely combo anyone, maybe this is bad balancing but is sure is fun to figure these out and use them on the bosses. All the sounds have this nice crunchiness to them and while this certainly isn't topping 3rd Strikes art the sprites have a lot of janky personality to them.
The story is also oddly nice and well thought out. For instance every character as in universe clone character so they aren't clones of themselves but rather similar characters (Family members, co-workers, trainers). I also really like how the "bad" guys are handled. You really get the sense they're people in bad situations rather than bad people. The final boss of everyone's story is just a corrupt businessman who's abuse of power has screwed up everyone else's life, which is oddly realistic compared to the eccentric millionaire murderers and war gods this genre usually has.
It's not the next Street Fighter but you'll a good amount fun with it.
So this is a simple fighting game, where the main characters are either from the police or simply criminals. As it is to be expected, each one of them has their own special techniques and skills. Considering that there're basically 8 characters to be selected from the start, that didn't let to bring me some nostalgia of the arcade version of Street Fighter 2
This title was developed by a Korean studio, and I think it's really refreshing to see a different art direction for a change. The soundtrack and sound effects are alright too. The animation itself is fluid, and it's definitely a joy playing a fighting game that has no FPS issues
The game itself isn't really so hard to master, I mean, I don't consider myself someone who's particularly good at that genre, but I've still managed to finish the story mode of all the characters in just a couple of hours and a half
Overall, you can usually find it for sale for a really good price, there're trading cards, and as mentioned previously, it isn't really hard, so I believe you can get all the achievements without any problem

Story:
You play as multiple different characters, some officers of the law and other criminals and terrorists. Neo Seoul, the city you all reside in has been hit with a massive crime wave and you witness the defenders of the city fighting to save it and criminals trying to take a piece of the city.
Verdict Guilty has 8 characters you can choose from and each story is roughly 25 minutes long and some are better than others. Each character has interesting motive for their actions and there's some twists and turns a long the way, that make each story fun to experience, although the writing ranges in quality, especially the comedic moments which mostly just fall flat on their face.
Graphics:
Visually I love everything about Verdict Guilty. The neon color scheme and the locations you fight in are just pleasing to look at. I especially like the details in the backgrounds of these arenas. One of them takes place on a highway robbery and you can see your crew fiddle around with the van you are trying to rob in the background.
One of the things I'm not impressed with is the character designs. They're fine for the most part, but they're really generic officers and criminals. Like a guy in an orange jumpsuit, another in a ski mask. I wish there were more unique designs for the characters you can pick, but for the most part, I don't mind the overall roster.
Audio:
The sound design for the most part is pretty decent, although there are some stock sound effects. When I play a fighting game, no matter if it's supposed to be realistic or arcade-y, I like to have the fighting effects be meaty and satisfying so when you're delivering the beatdown it really feels good to the player and that's the case here. They sound really good and with the announcer congratulating you once in a while, it really makes you feel good for doing good.
The soundtrack is also really good. It has some really nice background tunes to really make the fighting exciting and even in the menus the music is really impressive. I think the only minor negative thing I can come up with is that there's some minor issues with the mixing when in actual fighting, but it's a very minor issue.
Gameplay:
Verdict Guilty is a very simplistic take on the fighting genre. The basic gist is still here, you memorize combos for the different characters, select your opponent and beat the snot out of them, with all the staples you expect, like arcade, story and versus mode.
So I mainly played the story mode and I'd like to comment that from a gameplay perspective, this is by far the most bizarre way to playthrough a campaign in a fighting game and I'm not really sure I liked it. So once you begin playing the story mode, it tells you that each fight you're only allowed to use one move, so you have to defeat your opponent using that one singular move or set.
This ranges from fun to obnoxious when you're tasked with taking them with the more useless or annoying moves that just feel like they're prolonging the fight. I don't know why it couldn't have been a regular 1V1 and this needed to be tacked on, but as is, I'm not really a fan.
The fighting itself on the other hand is really simple and incredibly fun. The hitboxes and the actual moves are simple and are fun to pull off. Once you're not limited by the objective system in the other modes and you can experiment and just unleash yourself, it's genuinely quite a lot of fun. Hitboxes work seemed to be spot on and I never got frustrated by getting hit when I shouldn't have.
Verdict:
Verdict Guilty is a pretty fun fighting game and although the story mode isn't all too fun due to the limitations, the base game on the other hand is damn fun. If you're looking for a cheap fighting game to pass a couple hours in and maybe pummel your friends, then definitely check out Verdict Guilty.

I got a game as good as 10 year old me's opinion of Time Killers. Perfection.
This review is specially made for those who like to get all the achievements in games and have this one in their backlog (minor spoilers ahead).

Verdict Guilty is a retro 2D fighting game with pixel graphics and a roster of police and criminals, with a total of eight main characters and a boss. The main characters also have an “evil twin” that has a different look and personality but the same moves and attacks. They don’t seem to be playable but appear in the story mode.
It has a story mode that’s also a tutorial and it tells a different story depending on the character you’re playing. After playing with all the characters you'll get a better sense of what’s happening in the city. There are also other game modes like arcade or survival, but the only difference is the amount of continues you have available.
The graphics and scale between characters and backgrounds remind me of Eternal Champions or Street Fighter 2 for the Sega Genesis. As I’ve mentioned the graphics are pixelated but with good coloring, shading and well detailed.
The gameplay imitates the old fighting games and you’ll have normal moves, blocking, special moves, like dash attacks and projectiles, and throws. These throws add an interesting nuance, after being thrown the opponent will have their hands handcuffed or will suffer another effect, depending on the character you’re playing with. The AI seemed a bit weak and usually can’t deal with spamming dash attacks or projectiles. Most of the few games I lost were against the boss, which has an arsenal of different projectile attacks, the other fights were easy to win.

[b]Game difficulty:[/b] Easy. The AI isn’t very aggressive, apart from the boss, and spamming special moves is enough to win most fights.

The achievements that take most time to get are winning the story mode with all the main characters, but you’ll probably get the 4 hit combo and 10 second win while playing it. The other two are also easy: completing Arcade mode and getting 4 wins in Survival mode.
[b]Overall opinion:[/b]
Verdict Guilty is a nostalgic and fun to play retro 2D fighter, with good pixel graphics but with weak AI opponents, which makes the game more accessible for casual players. Each of the character’s stories are also interesting to read.

It feels like the community for this game would be the most insane people you could imagine. Thats because so many of the characters feel oppressive when played right. Id play that! Also the story is really fun!
A nice, indie arcade game that reminisces other fighting games like Tekken (which is the only one I've played before) with 8 playable characters, arcade mode, a campaign, and splendid retro pixelated art style, and some interesting mechanics like handcuffing opponents so they can't punch for a short for some period of time, all of these components for a small price.
However, the campaign could use some work as the story isn't the best as the story is basically:

Furthermore, I wish the story would would had linked together somehow, as each of the character stories is just you fighting all of the 8 characters as well as the suitcase boss that's all treated separately from each other. I would have helped make the story compact and interesting to play with when encountering each character we see previously.
I would consider getting this game if you have a friend or at the very least a casual to play with as the healthpool (for me) is quite low, and I feel there are some broken combos out there, especially with range attacks, so do keep that in mind. For me, this was a nice inclusion to add to my arcade bungles.
Fun, great for gamers who enjoy casual fighting games. The only fighting game I really enjoyed from the past was the original Mortal Kombat, because the combos were easy to remember. After that fighters went downhill imo. Verdict Guilty actually shows you the combo moves on screen before each fight. The enemies are more on the easier side, but honestly I like to win, and not up for a challenge at every stage of the game. The boss is tough to beat, and I can beat the boss one of 3 fights, but I haven't beat the boss best 2 of 3 yet. For me, this is the best fighting game to be released since Mortal Kombat and would love to play this on my arcade machine. Now on to purchasing more Retro Army titles. It's a fighting game that doesn't take itself too seriously. Both lighthearted and enjoyable.
