This is a borderline recommendation. Whilst it's not a bad game, I was really hoping for something to bring back the nostalgia of the old Lucas Arts games, but this falls a long way short and lacks both the charm and polish of those games. There are 3 endings, but I wasn't impressed enough to be bothered to re-play. I'd give it 5/10

i m torn. on one hand i like it , but i have no idea if i understand why i got ending b . many puzzles were super arbitrary and there s no indication of | WHY| ? it was sort of fun , but far too random and i mean i have played old kings quests and zak mckraken ( which i think is the closest to this ) . play it, but prepare to pull your hair out in frustration , because very little makes sense.The save system is appalling . dont do autosave unless you have manual save as well . it s awful to not be able to go back. ( this is heavy rain level irritating) . half of the screens you can only return through the entrance. and the dialogue is fast and you just have to guess after a while. if you didnt play for a week . i thought there was a journal function, but i couldnt find it . seriously very basic flaws but making it frustrating to play . i might try for another ending, but tbh i have no idea when something does or doesnt matter.

There were a lot of things I really liked about this game: the art style is spot-on, the music gives great 80s vibes, the characters are (for the most part) entertaining, the story is fun and compelling. Honestly, the way it looked is one of the main reasons I bought it.
I would also like to say that I am a big fan of puzzle games, and I like to think. The puzzles in this game started out okay at best, not super satisfying to solve. Sometimes they were obvious, and when it wasn't obvious, it usually seemed random. About a little over half way through, I started resorting to a guide for parts because of the weirdness of the puzzles. By the time I got to the B ending section, it crossed the line from weird into irrational. Some of the things I had to do to "make something work" made no sense, the visuals often gave very little indicator of what I needed to do - the whole ending segment felt totally aimless in a dumb and anticlimactic way. Honestly, the puzzles ruined this game for me. And most of the gameplay is the puzzles.
(Also, Steam says I played this game for 16 hours - at least 5 of those hours were me letting the game idle because I had to step away and I there was no save function. I read that it auto saves in specific places and that I might lose progress if I quit midway through a chapter. That was annoying)
This game would have been better off as a visual novel or something. 5/10

성인방송 훔쳐보려다 미지의 외계인과 조우하고, 그 와중에 다른 외계인의 음모에 휘말려 지구를 지키기 위한 모험에 나서는 세 명의 [strike]너드[/strike]우량 청소년들의 모험담. 헐리우드를 비롯한 80년대 서양 대중문화에 대한 찬사 그 자체이기도 하다.
게임성은 현대와 80년대를 섞은 듯 편리함과 불편함이 혼재한다. 상호작용 가능한 오브젝트를 표시해주는 기능 덕에 픽셀 파헤칠 일은 없을지라도 클릭을 한 번 더 하게 만드는 조작과 바람처럼 지나가는 힌트는 옛스럽다. [spoiler]초반에 나왔던 기믹을 별 힌트 없이 후반에 또 써먹는 경우도 있다.[/spoiler] 그럼에도 80년대 생활상과 공상과학과 그냥 과학이 첨가된 퍼즐은 상당히 재미있었다. 선택지에 따라 스토리 진행과 퍼즐이 달라지는데 이건 아직 다 못 봤으니 평가 보류.
브금이나 사운드는 그럭저럭. 영문 더빙은 좋긴 했는데 간혹 볼륨이 작게 들리는 문장이 있어 거슬렸다. You Spin Me Round를 가져온 건 ㄹㅇ 개쩌는 픽이였다.
P.S.: 트레일러에 2024년 여름에 출시한다고 나와있는 Vinny's Diary는 2026년 3월 현재까지 함흥차사니 참고할 것.

Game is great. Pixel graphics, great story, great music. Some background graphics are weird, like signs, hope it's not AI.

I've beaten the game, it does have multiple endings, but I won't go for that. Overall impression is very good. The game makes a great reverence to everything 80s, mostly movies, some music too and few video games. I've actually bought the game because the trailer started with "Spin me Right Round" song, but the game was totally up to the trailer and I am very satisfied.

A good half way point between intuitive and counter-intuitive solutions for the puzzles.

My only gripe, and it makes me sound petty, is with the voice acting some words arent pronounced correctly "geeger" for geiger "vahgal" for vagal and a good few more. Id be able to let it slide if it wasnt the smart kid of the group misprounoucing.

10/10 This game hits every mark, and you can tell the developer put a lot of love into its creation. Nostalgic music and art, awesome story, and great comedy, It's replayable, which is not common in adventure games, classic mechanics and aesthetics, and the puzzles are perfectly difficult and require actual intelligence/investigation to complete. This is just one of the best games i've played in probably like 20 years!!

doesnt have exits on both sides of the scenery, (LONG walks) turns a point and click in to a walking sim and there is alot of walking!
Do you see where iam going with this? cause you should with all the walking iam doing!

There are afew good moments, its just the large spaces between them! If there was some humorous conversation, or more draw or mini games or something to detract from the fact that solutions are spread out ..other issues!

some key clues are 1 time only! THIS IS A PROGRESS KILLER

your search is prolonged by opening like 10 places to go at the same time, like palm heading the clues with cheap waylay tactics or only spilling the beans 1 time!`
There is ALOT of references to German engineering and science if you like that sort of thing and if you do maybe you are also working for the german tourist board?!

The voice over.
I get that some voices can be kinda winey but still not grind to listen, I mean but this usualy depends on if you engage parody on this char to distance that feature from the audience and make it less abrasive and more fun without insulting the character! (unless you think they need it)
some voices in this game just grind, some are fine. I think if the dialog was better and voice variated its range of expression it could be ok.

I love the fact that there are alt scenarios but coupled with the other time draw factors in this walkathon make me wanna justify my existence and in turn the point of playing this, why? its not verbally funny there are some funny splat moments to be sure, but it does not seem to offer much else so far?

The save.. There is NO MANUAL SAVE?!?! auto save AGAIN FORCING YOU TO TAKE MORE TIME in this case meaning you play the whole thing again rather than load from a save game to explore reactionary alt, wich 1. TAKES TOO SMEGGING LONG 2. Completely nullifies the fun of comparative causality 3.means I cant give my saves dum names 4. prevents me from seeing accidently skipped scenes. 5. gave me numerical dyslexia 12. causes small amount of progress to be reset at times wich in turn leads to you making a false process of elimination, literally disrupting my thought process associated with this mess!

Over all this games scape, walking habits and even scenario kill your time and fun, I found myself constantly skipping repetitive dialog, wich if it where fun or interesting would not be so bad. I would like alt scenario but with the trekking around this spelunking event to find objects all over the place gets boring! To be fair though as it progresses (slowly) it improves puzzle wise but I am very board of this! It is a good attempt and maybe worth a pick up on a sale, if you have time to kill!

Смотрел у Куплинова и из его же видосов делаю вывод - игра годная, но ГОСПОДИ какая хреновая тут русская озвучка по сравнению с оригиналом!!! Как же больно было смотреть прохождение с этим ужасом где никто не попал своих персонажей, да и вообще в целом мискаст произошёл на все роли относительно оригинальных анг. актёров озвучки (которые к слову хорошо отыграли свои роли нежели с первых же секунд их ру актёры бубнежа!). Так что мой совет - Квест годный, чиловый, но играйте только на АНГ озвучке!!!

Троица юных балбесов натворила дел – после их химических экспериментов вместо привычной лужайки перед домом их соседки теперь яма, куски газона раскиданы по всей улице, а их родителям только предстоит оправдываться перед соседями. Так что наказание домашним арестом без каких-либо развлечений выглядит суровым, но понятным. Но у мальчишек уже запланировано развлечение – подключиться к кабельному каналу для взрослых. Однако игры с самодельной спутниковой антенной приводят к приключению, которое они запомнят на всю жизнь.

Unusual Findings – это классический квест, который мы проходим троицей главных героев. Управляем мы, по сути, только одним, но в определённых местах и решении отдельных головоломок он отходит на задний план. Мы ходим по локациям, болтаем с персонажами, находим в самых странных местах полезные предметы и решаем с их помощью головоломки. Давать примеры головоломок или использования предметов без спойлеров не получится. Но юмор, которым вся игра пронизана, отвечает и за игровой процесс.

Игра разделена на главы, в начале каждой выдаётся глобальная задача, для выполнения которой наши герои отправляются обыскивать локации. В каждой главе свой набор уровней-локаций. Часто мы оказываемся на карте, откуда можно свободно перемещаться по локациям.

Каких-либо подсказок в игре нет. Так что придётся непросто. Особенно когда видишь карту и число локаций на них – глаза разбегаются и смущаешься, точно не зная, что от тебя требуется. Но надо внимательно слушать, что говорят персонажи – не только наши герои, но и, казалось бы, их случайные знакомые. Почти каждую головоломку и глобальную задачу уровня можно решить минимум двумя способами. Концовок в игре три и они зависят от выборов в диалогах между мальчишками.

Но что лучше всего проработано, да и создавалась игра именно для передачи этого – вкус, ощущение, атмосфера 80х. Постеры знакомых фильмов, диалоги об играх и других произведениях того времени. А музыка... те же финальные титры я и не думал пропускать ради пары любимых композиций. Именно передача той атмосферы делает этот квест таким особенным.

Игра крутая, удивительно, как она прошла мимо меня (алгоритмы стима..)
Очень понравилась музыка в игре, невероятно атмосферная, особенно сочетании с этой прекрасной пиксельной рисовкой и стилистикой 80х !
Было достаточное количество затупов, без гайдика не обошлось.. было бы неплохо иметь возможность получить более очевидные подсказки в игре.
Порадовала русская озвучка! Отдельное спасибо, это редкость!

Интересная игра, с хорошим сюжетом, вайб сериала "Очень странные дела", на первое прохождение у меня ушло в районе 11 часов, но появилось желание пройти с другими вариантами диалогов и действий, посмотреть другие концовки. Должна понравится тем, кому нравится атмосфера 80-х, старые игры и немного фантастики. Очень качественно сделана, рекомендую!

Playing Unusual Findings made me feel like a true Goonie again — exploring, uncovering secrets, and laughing at little touches that take me back. I even got that warm nostalgia of blowing into an NES cartridge and console to make it work, just like the old days. Okay I am enjoying this at times, I like the art and the story, but:

- please honest 2 God do something about all interractive items being in the way of the character. It's a struggle to avoid clicking them when I just want to get somewhere, because they're in the way (like the cars and the doors etc);
- it's way to hard and I've been playing PAC adventures since I was a kid; got stuck way too often;
- many solutions I find by simply desperately clicking everything trying to match stuff together, they mainly are not something you'd ever think of (such as how to make the battery, do I have to be an electrician to play this game? could there not have been hints?)

Sad to give a poor review as I appreciate the work behind it, but it needs improvement. Good luck on the next one.

No me ha gustado:

- Las combinaciones absurdas de algunos objetos hacen que pierdas mucho rato haciendo pruebas.

Фантастическое приключение в стилистике 80-х годов, с огромным количеством отсылок на поп культуру того времени. Геймплей представляет из себя сбор предметов и решение разных задач, которые, к слову, бывают достаточно сложными. Причём решить некоторые задачи можно разными путями, что в конечном итоге повлияет на прохождение и концовку игры. Всего их три и все они положительные, что я считаю большим плюсом, так как не надо подстраивать прохождение, чтобы добиться истинной концовки, как в других играх. Музыка, если вы любите американские хиты 80-х, вам определённо понравится. Единственным минусами лично для меня стали мудрёность некоторых задач и неочевидное взаимодействие с определёнными предметами. Например, вставив неработающий картридж в приставку нужно выбрать функцию поговорить с ним, чтобы герой достал его и продул, и только тогда он заработает. Во всех остальных аспектах игра выглядит прекрасно!

If you’re into Stranger Things or The Goonies, this one is right up your alley. Fans of 80s movies or relics of the past like me who also love point-and-click adventure games should definitely give it a try. Some of the puzzles can be tricky because hints are either missing or a bit misleading, but they’re solvable with a little persistence. The graphics feel a bit flat at times, likely due to the lack of foreground elements but the music perfectly sets the mood, with some spot-on synthwave tracks alongside a few licensed pieces.

Muy lindo pixel-art con puzzles muy bien hechos (que hacen pensar pero no son absurdos) y una gran historia llena de nostalgia ochentera.

Se avete 50 anni (come me) vi consiglio di giocare a questo gioco. Ci sono molte citazione degli anni 80 ma non sono troppo invasive. Gli enigmi sono giocabili e non si deve ricorrere troppo "all'usa tutto l'inventario con qualsiasi cosa". Non mi ha convinto il sistema di salvataggio che non permette di riprendere da un certo punto ma ti costringe a ripetere tutto per un finale differente. Vale la pena se preso in sconto: per i nostalgici.

[b]UNUSUAL FINDINGS[/b] plaira aux nostalgies des années 80-90 sur bien des aspects. Au premier abord, il peut paraître extrêmement classique, mais il sait tirer son épingle du jeu au travers de quelques petites surprises.

[H1]Un cahier des charges classique respecté[/H1]

Classique oui, parce qu'il s'agit d'un[b] point'n click à l'ancienne [/b]où le gameplay consiste à déplacer notre personnage sur des écrans 2D, ramasser des objets, les combiner et les utiliser dans diverses situations pour progresser. Là dessus, on n'invente rien : simple et efficace.

Ensuite par son [b]esthétique retro [/b]suffisamment pixélisée pour nous faire croire que nous jouons sur notre 486 DX33, mais qui évite la "bouille de pixel" que certains jeux d'antan nous imposaient, bloquant le joueur dans une énigme car il n'avait pas vu "[i]ce fichu pixel gris qui représente une clé, par terre, au milieu d'autres pixels légèrement moins gris"[/i].

Enfin car l'aventure elle-même est une ode à cette époque. Les fans de [b]Strangers Things[/b] le comprendront tout de suite. La bande sonore, les affiches de film, les réflexions autour du cinéma, les salles d'arcade, tout est là pour plonger le joueur dans cette époque révolue qui fait encore frissonner de plaisir les quarantenaires dont je fais partie. Bien sûr, Unusual Findings n'est pas le seul Point'n Click à jouer sur cette corde mais il le fait très bien.

[H1]Ce qui m'a vraiment plu[/H1]

Si les énigmes restent pour la grande majorité extrêmement classiques, certaines d'entre elles sortent du lot. Mention spéciale au passage du van de Lemonkola, où l'objectif est d'aider notre copain à draguer une fille. Eh bien, j'en fus tout bonnement incapable et j'ai du m'aider de la solution. Et sans être tirée par les cheveux, la résolution de ce passage sort de l'ordinaire et m'a agréablement surpris.

Il en va de même pour quelques petites scènes comme le jeu video qu'il faut passer en s'aidant d'une solution trouvée dans un magasin de jeu, ou encore l'affrontement à un clone de "Street Fighter" qui reprend la logique d'un "pierre feuille ciseaux".

Mais le point qui m'a le plus surpris, c'est d'apprendre en fin de partie que j'avais fini la fin "B" et qu'il en existait 2 autres. N'ayant pas eu l'impression d'avoir fait des choix durant l'aventure, je compris en fouillant sur internet qu'en réalité, si. Certaines petites répliques, certaines énigmes que je croyais n'avoir qu'une solution, ont dirigé mes 3 adolescents vers un chapitre final unique. et là je dis bravo, car si ce genre d'embranchement est une évidence quand on joue à un RPG ou un jeu narratif, cela l'est beaucoup moins dans un point'n click.

En lisant la fiche du jeu, je m'attendais à contrôler 3 personnages. Comme à la bonne époque de "[b]Day of the Tentacle[/b]" ou d'autres jeux plus "récents" comme "[b]Resonance[/b]" ([i]aille, on me souffle à l'oreillette que le titre de Wadjet Eyes a déjà 15 ans[/i]).

Eh bien non, à mon grand dam, on ne contrôlera ici que le leader de la bande. Les deux autres adolescents ne sont là que pour l'ambiance, et vous suivront partout en vous faisant part de quelques répliques. Mais pas d'utilisations de capacités spéciales propre au "nerd" ou au "rebelle", pas d'actions combinées, pas de "diversion". Et ça, c'est vraiment dommage.

Can't recommend a game that is broken. You are confronted with stupid bugs that will hinder you to progress.
For example, the Guard never gave me the Ranger Flyer.
Bugs like these, in a game with ONLY autosave, where you have to start over and over again to hope it triggers correctly isn't fun.

I'm gonna get straight to the point. When I first played through this game and it introduced us to the map system, I was excited by all the possible locations I could visit, interacting with different characters and getting many '80s references. Then the puzzles and tasks I needed to do started piling up, that I started getting confused about what items I needed and what I needed to do to solve them. Something, like a notepad, would have been useful to keep track of all the quests I needed to do. It would have helped, but it wouldn't have done much with all the puzzles with a tedious solution, which I found quite annoying.

For example, in chapter 2, there was one where I needed one of the characters in the trio to give me a boost to reach for something, but they refused for some reason. I was stuck at this point, so I looked up a guide, and I was surprised that the character refused to help because of the dialogue choices I've made. At first, I was surprised that your choice in this game could affect who helps you or not and the ending as well. I was then confused because I couldn't recall what choices I had made to make the character not want to help (I'm sure I was nice to everyone up to this moment. Thinking about it, I found it's stupid for them to not to want to help, considering that at that moment of the game we are being chased by people who would kill us.

Another problem I felt in this game is its tone. Things get serious, too serious for our trio to freak out over, especially for their age, but they all act like it's another weekend for them when they see another human being disintegrate in front of them. The story direction and the tone are all mundy. The developer could have kept this game simple. The town folk are goofy enough, why not lead it in that direction and not put such a high stake in the story? Not making the trios feel their livelihood is threatened enough when it is. I know what the developer was trying to do, but I couldn't take the game realistically.

Unusual Finding has a cool system, but in execution and in practice, it doesn't work for me. There needs to be a hint system, otherwise make the puzzle easier, to complement well with the large map so you don't get lost and to reduce tedious backtracking. I wanted to cosplay as being from the 80s, pretending to know all of the pop-culture references, but the gameplay really hindered my enjoyment to the point I ended up relying on guides to finish the game, and that was no fun.

A wonderful point 'n' click adventure with great ideas and brave storytelling. I got reminded of Flight Of the Amazon Queen, but the quality is much better. Если попытаться посмотреть на игру обьективно, то наверно проект можно назвать проходным. Но, для любителей Point & Click квестов она точно стоит того чтобы с ней ознакомится. Не всегда очевидные загадки, небольшая доля вариативности и приятная стилистика скрасят вам пару вечеров. 8/10

[h2] Clever 80s revival point and click, Overall 10/10 [/h2]

Totally my vibe, I love a good story, especially if it involves retro elements (I'm a millennial so I feel kinda close to the 80s even if I wasn't born then). The characters where well written and fun, the plot quite adventurous and exciting and the music was spot on (you spin me right round baby right rouuuund)! I also love the multiple endings and gameplays according to the choices you make, but unfortunately I didn't have the patience to replay the whole game just to see another ending.

Это из разряда "где-то посередине игры пересаживаешься на прохождение по гайду". Применения предметов перестают быть логичными, локаций много, постоянные комментарии архитипичных персонажей превращаются в занудство. Сюжет пародийный, персонажи в целом тоже.
