Started playing this game since 3 or 4 years ago but not much, yet ever since i've met timhall i have concluded that this is one of the best games i have played in my entire existence. I want to give thanks to timhall for introducing me to the game and teaching me how deep the game really is. Please. if you can, play this game.

Very fun game that requires practice, yes, practice. it's a unique skill that one just doesnt pick up, it take hands on experience to understand how the mechanics work. This game is a unique VS Match Vollyball/Soccer/Basketball Airship style Game play. Is your older brother or sister getting all the good things in life, why not master a free and very lite game and challenge your siblings to a duel for such riches.
Warning: This game is a sport and may become addicting once the community grows back.
Haven’t played in about 7 years i think and still think about the game from time to time, so nostalgic. The best game ever created and was so addictive and competetive back then. Very sad that it is completely dead right now. Wish it never be released on steam. Miss the good old brchat and all community! ❤️

UniBall is a great project, really. Very simple and obvious game mechanics that creates a very dynamic competition, something like a virtual pool, where several players compete in pushing the ball into pockets (gates), colliding with their cues on the field. 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 4 on 4... or 2 on 2 on 2 on 2, for example! This game provides a great amount of variability, it runs very great, it is totally free of cost...
And yet I click "not recommend". Why? Simple. It's a competitive game, but you can hardly find any players online. UniBall is a great game, but... it's dead.
Maybe I just don't see the whole picture, maybe there are hundreds and thousands of dedicated players... but I looked for them and have not succeeded.

Uniball is still the funnest game I have ever played. The community is and has always been great. The game requires unpresedented teamwork. Don't let the simple graphics and concept fool you - as close to a team sport you will ever get in a game. Yes, I've been a hardcore fan of arena games like league, smite and dota. Uniball takes the cake.

I played this game harcord for a good decade, all through HS & college. Its simple in concept, but can get very competitive. i wsih more people still played, would totally be down for more HOCK & Shades battles.

Что вообще нужно тут делать? Нужно хватать мяч, который в центре поля и забивать гол в ворота соперника.
Управление неплохое, простое, но со своими фишками.
Музончик тут даже не нужен.
Вообщем единственный минус, который я заметил - это онлайн.
Жаль не рекомендовать, очень много контента в такой простенькой игрульке.

This game has been a part of my days since I first started playing games like Attack. Retrieve. Capture. It's longevity is a testament to how well a simple but fair competitive game can work when it is easy to pick up, but difficult to master.
The community is what makes this game so strong. Don't feel lost or get frustrated when you first start; there are people there to help if you listen and are patient.
Once you get a feel for the basics, the teamplay of this game keeps you coming back for more. That one dribble, that one nice pass, that shot where you thread the needle between two defenders. These feelings you just don't get from every game out there.

Did you grow up playing hockey on your old Windows 98 computer? Have you ever played pong or wished that breakout was more competitive? If the answer to either of these questions is yes then you just might like UniBall.
In UniBall you play as a ship with about as much traction as a hockey player in a computer game has. You have a limited sprint which lasts for a few seconds before it stops working well and will need to be recharged.
Having only played two of the many game modes / maps available, I can say that UniBall is fairly easy to learn and a bit difficult to master. As of writing I have played about 4 hours and can say for a fact that the game rewards teamwork and player skill.
One of the best up and coming games yet. The community is one of the best for starting players as everyone (mostly) is very polite towards you. The game itself is very interesting as it has so many different mechanics in such a simple idea. It is very well put together. I would strongly recommend this game to everyone.

A tip for new players: you score on the goal that's your own color, because there can be more than 2 teams on a map.

Uniball has an incredibly steep learning curve, which can scare away some new players quickly. If you push through and really nail down the controls, it's a very fun game. Watching games with the highest-level players is very entertaining, and motivates you to get better. The better you get, the more fun it is. While experienced players are usually more than willing to play in games with new players and help out/provide tips, don't expect to actually hang with them until you put in a lot of hours mastering the mechanics.
Really fun game! Controls might feel wacky at first but you get used to them. Cool community and intense gameplay. It could use a Graphic overhaul though and rocketleaguelike quick chat would be cool too
This game has been a blast so far and i have only played 1 hour of it, i love it truly to bits although i havent gotten the hang of the controls yet. I really hope this game achieves the level of attention it needs and takes off to maybe even esport levels or at least levels of players that will make it possible for the maker to implement more updates since the amount of players also will depend on the possibilities of updates.

I have played ub for years. Even though it is simple to learn and fun from the start, its hard to master and Its for that reason I never get bored with it. Do not allow the simplicity of the graphics to fool you, there is much involved including ball control, defense and teamwork etc. At the same time do not become overwhelmed for there is players of all levels including vets willing to help. I have played many other games like wow, swtor gw2 and the list goes on but its ub that has outlasted them all.
I really do recommend trying this game out. It's really fun and the community is awesome. Gameplay is great ;). And you can also do twitch emotes in the chat+1.
Father esport game, this game had been around FOREVER!! Best proof that simpler is better. All skill based, no clunky graphics in the way, pure skill based fun and competition. I'm very nostalgic about this game, but please give it a try and you will fall in love. As soon as the comunity picks back up, i'm sure it will be as fun as before.

Welcoming community to newbies, (or returning rusty players) so far. Glad to see it's still around. Give it a shot. Mastering control of your ship takes time, but it's fun. Worth the download.
Whilst Uniball may not be much to look at in comparison to games these days, the core gameplay more than makes up for it. The video previews perfectly demonstrate the amazing teamwork that can be experienced in game. This aspect of the game makes every match played different, and takes you through a full array of emotions as you compete against your opponents. Any fan of team sports should enjoy the tactical aspects, especially when getting up to the higher levels of skill, and playing with other similarly skilled players.
The game is easy to pick up, but has aspects of play which make it hard to master. Whether you want to play some casual games, or get involved in a squad and perfect your skill, there is a place for you. The community has always been one of the best parts of Uniball, and is the reason the game has persisted for so long. This latest iteration of it makes it a lot more accessible, and I fully expect it to evolve further over time.
Give it a try, it's a small download and well worth the price!
The graphics aren't very fancy, but the gameplay is very fun and addictive. Controlling your ship is very hard for the first say 30 minutes, but then you start "getting it" and you see the great gameplay potential behind what appears to be a simple game. Make sure you play on the servers with the lowest ping for you, it makes a big difference in how easy it is to control the ship!
After sooo many years I end up seeing this game up on Steam! I'm glad to come back to the community. Always helpfull and fun. DOn't give up to quick, ask for help. You can't master the game that easily.

One day in the year 2000 I stumbled across a simple looking game called Uniball and decided to give it a try.
Years later, I finally started going to meetings to break the habit.
Now Uniball has been revamped and made available on Steam; and I'm enjoying every minute of my relapse!
Uniball is a game that can be enjoyed differently at all levels.
You'll learn how to play within a minute, but it'll take thousands of hours to come even close to mastering this highly competitive e-sport!
Simple concept and can be challenging at first, but a lot of fun and very addictive.

If I had to describe this game in one word... Addicting, (in a good way of course). But seeing as this is a review let's mention everything.
The Pros are as followed. Fast and frantic fun at it's best, with crisp controlls that never hinders the enjoyment of the game, a great community, (though small but that's for cons) diffenent maps which is unique to a sports game and great game mechanics which are easy to learn and hard to master.
There are not is but two cons that will only really be fixed by time. Those are the small player base, (which based on the fun quick gamplay should be fixed soon) and the amount of pro to new player ratio, (seeing as this game is over 15 years old) which should be fixed with more new players, (hopefully).
Now that pros and cons are out the way a couple things that may be either bad or good, (prefrence). For a game 15+ years old it does have flash like graphics, (a crunchball 3000 feel {if you don't know that game I'm sorry}) It's controlls take some time to get use to (but hey I mean so does Rocket League) and lastly the little dot circle around your ship to show where the ball is isn't needed on smaller levels, (Not acually bad if you learn <<F3>> Disables it, so yeah remember F3).
All in all this is one of the most refreshing games I've played in a long time and it's FREE and you can't beat free, So why not try it and see for yourself I'm nearly Positive you won't regret it.
