Fun game and fun characters as well as music and pixel art.
If your a fan of point and click games I recommend it, im a big fan of the characters interacting with eachother based on who you pick to accompany you. It helps add abit of replayability into a genera that is normally very linear. The game is not very long tho, i think roughly 9 hours so i would recomend waiting for a sale.

[H2]Unavowed : Le chef-d’œuvre urbain de Wadjet Eye[/H2]

Après avoir arpenté les rues pluvieuses de [i]Kathy Rain[/i], plonger dans [i]Unavowed[/i], c'est passer dans une autre dimension du point'n click. Le pitch est aussi percutant qu'immédiat : après avoir été possédé par un démon pendant un an, semant le chaos et le sang à travers New York, vous êtes libéré par l'Unavowed, une société secrète luttant contre les forces surnaturelles. Sans aucun souvenir de vos actes et traqué par la police, vous rejoignez leurs rangs pour réparer vos crimes et traquer l'entité qui vous a volé votre vie. Le côté ésotérique est cette fois annoncé d'emblée, et cela fut donc plus facile pour moi de m'immerger dans cette histoire, contrairement à la fin de Kathy Rain qui tombait comme un cheveu sur la soupe.

Le jeu brille par son mélange des genres : c'est un thriller surnaturel mâtiné de fantasy urbaine. On y croise des fantômes dans le métro, des djinns dans des appartements chics et des rituels occultes au milieu du béton new-yorkais. L'ambiance est sombre, mélancolique, mais portée par une humanité vibrante. On est loin des clichés magiques habituels ; ici, le merveilleux est sale, caché et souvent tragique.

Contrairement à beaucoup de jeux du genre point'n click, nos choix ont un impact réel. On peut choisir son origine (homme/femme et métier), ce qui modifie les dialogues et les perspectives. De plus, à l'instar d'un [i]Resonance[/i], on ne voyage pas seul. Vous composez votre équipe parmi plusieurs membres de l'Unavowed. Leurs interactions rappellent les RPG de BioWare : ils commentent vos choix, se disputent entre eux et possèdent tous un arc narratif profond.

Le pixel-art est d'une finesse incroyable. Les jeux d'ombre et de lumière sur les décors de New York renforcent cette sensation de polar occulte, rendant chaque tableau mémorable.

Pour son côté RPG qui se mêle subtilement au point'n click, et pour son univers unique, Unavowed est pour moi un coup de cœur absolu. Mais mon avis pour ce jeu ne date pas d'hier : je l'avais d'abord découvert sur GOG, mais le plaisir a été tel que je n'ai pas hésité une seconde à le racheter sur Steam pour l'avoir dans ma bibliothèque de prédilection et soutenir ce travail d'orfèvre, et fournir cette évaluation dans la foulée.

Si vous aimez les récits où le paranormal s'invite dans le quotidien avec une écriture mature et des personnages que l'on quitte avec regret, c'est un indispensable.

Una maravilla de aventura gráfica con el sello inconfundible Wadjet Eye Games.
La historia mezcla el noir con un mundo lleno de eventos paranormales en el que l protagonista deberá liderar un equipo de personas con poderes paranormales.
Es cierto que los puzzles son pocos y no muy inspirados, pero el argumento, la construcción de personajes, el arte, la música y el soberbio doblaje (en inglés, eso sí) completan una experiencia sobresaliente.
A resaltar el juego que da la posibilidad de elegir los miembros del equipo que te acompañaran en cada salida y cómo las dinámicas entre ellos aportan al desarrollo de los acontecimientos.

Point & Clic novedoso, le da un poco una vuelta de tuerca al genero, ya que hay diferentes formas de superar las escenas dependiendo de los personajes que eliges, lo cual le da un extra al apartado jugable, que es donde normalmente carece este género. La trama esta bien, se va desarrollando bien a medida que vas jugando y la historia te va enganchando, lo cual es necesario en este tipo de juegos.

Pretty good game that's IMO better than most point & clicks.

Pros:
- Well voice acted
- Interesting story with well done surprises
- Multiple solutions to puzzles depending on who you bring with you
- I really like the banter between the different characters, though it's unfortunate that going to a different area (e.g. entering a building) causes it to end, so if you want to here it you have to wait around
- For the most part none of the puzzle solutions are unreasonable, and you can get hints from your coworkers

Cons:
- There was one or two times when I had to consult a guide because the hints weren't enough
- Sometimes my solution was 'Oh, I need a different team member', but it didn't let me go back and change team members
- A lot of the achievements are a bit pointless and require an unreasonable number of replays, e.g. having a specific pair of team members on all/most of the missions

One of the worst graphic adventures i've played in a long time.

- Gameplay is terrible. Extremely simple and easy. Feels like a game made by amateurs due to its poor design. You never need to use your brain. It's closer to a visual novel than a graphic adventure
- The levels barely have interactions. Are mostly empty
- The script is full of convenience to make the story advance
- Marvel jokes and plain generic characters
- Magic to explain everthing. Do you remember Xena and her "A Wizard did it"?

I guess this one doesn't really work for me. It's a bunch of episodic short stories that work together in a main plot sort of like a season of TV show, but I just could never get into the plot and characters very well. Perhaps part of the problem is the episodic nature. In a TV show, you spend at least an hour in each story line and a lot of time is put into developing the characters and their interactions. Here, you're in each scene only long enough just to reveal the plot and then it's the next largely unrelated story and new characters to get to know superficially.

Furthermore, there are hardly any puzzles compared to similar games. So, it's more like reading a comic book than playing a game, and I guess I need a bit more to keep me interested. It pauses for dialogue choices but none of them are very different from one another. Great visuals, though.

Эта строчка из песни преследовала меня всю игру, хотя члены Unavowed "летают" по Нью-Йорку на метро. Сюжет написан почти через 20 лет после знаменитого цикла Лукьяненко, но в том же духе "городского фэнтези": в мегаполисе скрывается тайное сообщество людей (или не совсем людей?) с паранормальными силами. Они защищают обычных горожан от сверхъестественного.

Игра начинается в момент, когда проявление иных сил в Нью-Йорке увеличивается экспоненциально и главному герою/героине приходится присоединиться к Unavowed (Скрытые/Неназванные), чтобы раскрыть причину нарастающего хаоса.

Геймплейно - это обычный point&click, но приправленный ТАКОЙ качественной сценарной работой, что невозможно оторваться от ЧТЕНИЯ. История в этой игре зацепила меня сильнее всего - в каждом квесте (отдельной миссии) есть несколько вариантов решения и в процессе игрок знакомится с участниками событий, причинам произошедшего и познаёт грани демонической жестокости. Финал заставляет выбирать: как остановить угрозу и что делать с "гостем" из другого плана? Не всегда он — чистое зло.

Существенный слой погружения добавляет ПОЛНАЯ озвучка всех реплик персонажей - как игровых, так и NPC, кроме ГГ. В озвучке чувствуется ХАРАКТЕР.

Из минусов: отсутствие русского перевода и необходимость многократного прохождения для получения 100% достижений.

Итог: рекомендую всем любителям качественных сценариев. Для понимания сюжета нужен средний уровень владения английским + словарь для пары-тройки слов и выражений.

Very good point & click adventure game with interesting characters and stories. Feels like watching a supernatural themed TV series, each episode has its own charm, the plot twits is also very nicely done. Art style and the voice over are great! On the gameplay aspect, feels more like a visual novel that doesnt require a lot of thinking to solve puzzles and to guess what to do next. Recommended if you like point&click game with engaging story and charming characters.

It's set in the world of the fine Blackwell series. It's a stand alone story, but I really appreciated the throwbacks and cameos from the characters of those games. So I'd play them first, even if you dont really need to. They're all great, and so is Unavowed. Nice mood, nice art and music, engaging storytelling.

Perso je trouvais les captures du jeu un peu bizarre et effectivement, visuellement il y a un souci permanent avec les perspectives. Les musiques sont de qualité inégales. Hormis ça c'est captivant à jouer, tous les puzzles sont logiques et réalistes. Le déroulement se fait par une dizaine de chapitres et certains sont géniaux, d'autres un peu fantaisistes mais tout de même plaisants (déroulement compréhensible). La magie et l'occulte sont parfaitement intégrés à l'histoire et ne servent pas de béquille au scénario, donc le monde et la narration sont harmonieux et se déroulent bien. On visite des quartiers New-Yorkais et ça colle bien à l'ambiance. Mon épisode préféré est celui à China-Town, avec une histoire de passe-muraille très sympa. Je recommande et j'espère retrouver ce monde dans un prochain jeu, une prochaine saison?

Отличный point&click квест с классным сюжетом, прекрасной озвучкой, замечательной музыкой, стильной пиксельной графикой. Почти все загадки логичные, кроме одной-двух.
Разработчики постарались и сделали не только различные вступительные сцены для разных главных героев, но и добавили "нелинейность" в прохождение - миссии проходятся немного по-разному в зависимости от того, кого взяли в партию на задание.
Очень качественный квест. Моя оценка 8/10.

在游玩前，甚至是刚开头几分钟，我一直以为这个游戏又会是老套的西方魔幻故事，然而当我真正开始了解这个游戏所构建的世界观和塑造的人物时，我确切感受到了这款游戏对于叙事的功力。
在这个故事里，你必须接受许多可能不能用科学解释的设定，你不能时刻想着去逻辑拆解世界观的不可能与不合理性，如果你不能做到，那么我觉得这个故事会很难代入；但是如果你能做到接受并理解这个世界本身就是如此，你能理解为什么这些力量能够被汲取和释放，那么这个故事绝对对于你而言是十分引人入胜的。
虽然外表看起来，这个游戏像一个老式的点击解密游戏，但实际上游戏的玩法和故事却一点也不老套。
在游戏中，我们扮演类似于驱魔人的角色，和小队成员一块解决各种灵异案件，但是解谜方法不是单一的，甚至可以说十分多元化。我时刻疑惑如果我不选择和这位同伴同行我需要怎样才能破解这种局面，换句话说，道路的可选择性不是体现在他会拿石头砸而她会用刀切，而是体现在他会使用魔法而她会调用人脉，玩起来的体验完完全全不一样。
而对于剧情，我会说我根本没有想象到故事的最终走向，这个看似老派的游戏讲述了一个一点也不老套的故事。人物的塑造是真真切切十分丰满的，不仅仅是和人物的对话让玩家加深了对他们的了解，更多是玩家对自己的拷问让你对自己也产生了是否真的了解了自我的怀疑，我很喜欢这个故事。
对于解谜部分，我觉得游戏做得相当好。大部分解谜不是意义不明考眼力，而是真的有逻辑推理在其中的，事件链条在我看来很清晰。但是仍然有几处解谜我实在难以理解设计者的脑回路，即使使用了游戏内提示我也搞不明白。再加上网络上相关资源并不多并且解谜路线差异很大，找攻略简直是难上加难。（不过steam里自带的“指南”部分有玩家提供的十分详细的攻略！）但是整体谜题难度不高，也很有趣。
在我看来，这个游戏的缺点只有在界面和外部框架里。比如鼠标灵敏度拉到最高了我的指针还是和老奶奶一样需要人搀扶，比如我调节电脑音量时游戏总会黑屏几秒。但是对于一个重点在于解谜和剧情的游戏来说，这点缺点并不算什么。

Иногда поражаюсь тому, насколько давно я знаком с "Wadjet Eye Games" и прочими проектами, сделанных на движке "Adventure Game Studio" (AGS) ([url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/daniel_malyshev/recommended/338420/]"Alum"[/url],"Kathy Rain"). В частности, в своё время мне очень понравились [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/daniel_malyshev/recommended/227000?snr=1_5_9__402]"Primordia"[/url], [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/daniel_malyshev/recommended/80310?snr=1_5_9__402]"Gemini Rue"[/url], но после [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/daniel_malyshev/recommended/307580?snr=1_5_9__402]"Technobabylon"[/url] и [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/daniel_malyshev/recommended/336130/]"Shardlight"[/url] у меня закрадывались подозрения, что разработчики идут не совсем по тому пути... И вот, я наконец прошёл "Unavowed", и мои опасения частично сбылись, к сожалению. Причём некоторые проблемы были практически такими же, как в [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/daniel_malyshev/recommended/631570/]"Whispers of a Machine"[/url], которую я прошёл раннее.

Но начну с плюсов.

[*][b]Сюжет.[/b] Очень даже неплохой, ближе к концу даже интересный твист подвезли.

[*][b]Химия между напарниками.[/b] В метро перед началом миссий и во время их прохождения персонажи между собой общаются, делясь своими моментами из жизни, мыслями, что лучше раскрывает их характер. Ну и сами они прописаны очень даже хорошо, у каждого своя трагедия, боль, да и в принципе, чувствуешь, что играешь именно с персонажами, а не с болванчиками.

[*][b]Разнообразие прохождения с напарниками.[/b] В зависимости от того, с кем пойдёте вы на миссию, будет зависеть ваше прохождение: Джинн распознаёт ложь в людях, Логан общается с призраками, а Илай стреляет фаерболлами. Видимо, разработчики потратили всё свои усилия на интерактивность именно в геймплее.

[*][b]Обновлённая версия AGS.[/b] В 2025 году игру обновили до новой версии AGS и выпустили несколько патчей. Не знаю, как было на релизе, но вспоминая старые болячки AGS, связанные со звуком и средним растягиванием на весь экран, могу сказать, что тут такого нет.

К сожалению, в остальных моментах разработчики почему-то решили особо не заморачиваться, что пошло игре только в минус.

[*][b]Отсутствие квеста.[/b] Многие отмечали в отзывах Steam, что "Unavowed" больше похож на "симулятор ходьбы с элементами квеста", чем на полноценный квест... с чем я и соглашусь. В большинстве случаев, мы будем ходить по локации кругами, общаясь поочередно с разными персонажами (и не единожды), открывая всё новые опции в диалогах, пока не наткнёмся на парочку нетрудных загадок и не дойдём до финального босса; единственное хоть какое-то исключение - локация Чайна-таун: туда впихнули побольше загадок, над решение которых нужно подумать, по сравнению с остальными локациями. Даже в "Whispers of a Machine" квеста было ощутимо больше.

[*][b]Отсутствие интерактивности.[/b] По факту, она влияет лишь на геймплей (о нём ниже), некоторые диалоги, реплики и ачивки, но вот глобально - ни на что.

[*]Происхождение главного героя влияет ни на что, кроме [spoiler]расположения портала к финальному боссу[/spoiler] и ачивок.

[*]Выбор напарников влияет на способы прохождения (ах да, и на ачивки тоже), но на этом всё: мы всё также доходим до босса, которого мы или убиваем, или оставляем в живых. Причём различия в этих способах не прям значительные: например, в локации, где мы впервые находим Логана, для получения доступа в дом или Джинн поможет залезть в окно на второй этаж, или Вики выстрелит во входную дверь на первом.

[*]Отношения с напарниками не меняются, если вы сделали то или иное решение: они будто всегда вас поддерживать, несмотря ни на что. А перед очередной миссией у тех, кого не было на прошлой, внезапно появляется мнение по поводу пройденной миссии.

[*]Вот мы решили всех боссов помиловать, и в конце игры у нас появилась опция их вызова для выполнения заданий. И вроде как появляется серьёзная развилка: либо мы проходим все препятствия с помощью боссов, не тратя способности напарников (и всей командой наваливаем финальному боссу), или раз за разом тратим ресурсы напарников, впоследствии, теряем их и доходим до босса в одиночку. И вот, не зря мы всех помиловали, дошли всей командой до финального босса (получили ачивочку), и вот ща наваляем ему... Но нет, босс их всех отключает, и по итогу, мы с ним вдвоём находимся. Т.е. весь проделанный нами путь и выбранные опции глобально ни на что не повлияли, ведь концовка будет влиять от опций в финальном диалоге.

[*][b]Слабая концовка.[/b] [spoiler]Сначала речь идёт об уничтожении мира, но в финальном диалоге "злодей" внезапно извиняется перед нами за свои поступки и утверждает, что он вообще-то хочет создать новый идеальный мир... Ни финальной битвы, ни финального спора о правильности действий, ни хоть какого-либо сопротивления... Никакого удовлетворения от такой слабой, жидкой концовки.[/spoiler]

Честно говоря, "Unavowed" заслуживает именно [u]смешанной[/u] оценки: это крайне не плохая игра с крепким сюжетом и хорошо прописанными персонажами, но слабая в остальных моментах, особенно в рамках интерактивного квеста. Но всё же я от игры получил удовольствие, поэтому и решил оставить положительный отзыв. Но обязательно ли проходить "Unavowed" - на мой взгляд, нет: более интересные квесты (даже от тех же "Wadjet Eye Games"), благо, существуют.

Absolute banger. Writing and voice acting are pitch perfect, lots of hard decisions that built to real consequences (and not Fallout 3 style "do you want to save people or bomb a city?" weak-sauce nonsense). Every time I had to choose what characters to bring on a fun X-Files style mission I always agonized over who to bring since I wanted to bring everybody, but no matter who I picked the story felt natural. 100% recommend.

changed my life, 10/10. as someone who looks to grow especially from dialogue and artists in dialogue, this game did it for me. the overarching vibe of this game is in every aspect of it. the themes and messages in human interaction and human growth it shows through deep character development and opennesss within the characters' dialogue, and the most human-like choices always prevailing as the way things are supposed to be. life is balance that is fragile to us humans, and even in a supernatural world with dragons and ghosts, the choices people make effect the entire world at large, even one that is not in our scope. Great game! Engaging story with surprising plot twists (at least for me). The puzzles are also pretty easy, and there's a hint system delivered through companion dialogue, which might feel too simple for hardcore adventure fans. But what I like best about Unavowed is the characters’ surprising depth (almost Mass Effect-level writing). I guess 1 thing you could complain is the game’s short length. I just wanted more missions to investigate and talk with the companions!

This is seriously one of the BEST point-n-click adventure games I've ever played. It's criminally underrated. There's so much lore to explore here that I'm dying for a sequel. The characters are relatable, complex and charismatic. The story draws you in. This IP could honestly turn into a fascinating tv series about a group of supernatural investigators protecting the human world from other worldly invaders. Great stuff. Please make more, WEG.

When I sat down to Unavowed I admit to having some bias, I knew this was a WadjetEye Game. I bought it BECAUSE it had the Wadjet name associated with it so I knew exactly the sort of calibre I was stepping in to, I knew this was a safe purchase for me and I wouldn't regret my time investment. I wasn't disappointed. Unavowed is a game with Broken Sword vibes without being a ripoff of Broken Sword, by any stretch, this is a game whereby your choices matter, the lives and deaths of your friends/allies hang in the balance, your moves matter, who you bring with you matters. I can't give it any higher praise than this, it's a game i'll likely play again at some stage.

This is an excellent point and click adventure. You can tell that a lot of time and thought was put into story and how each character interacts with the world. Despite the fact that the story did not head in a direction that I wanted as a player, it felt good to play through someone else's creation and complete multiple endings. I'll definitely be purchasing another title or two from Wadjet Eye Games. :)

Given the nature of simplicity of the genre I can't say a lot about this game without spoiling vital stuff, but I gotta say this, the surprise twist, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I didn't see that coming. If you're trying to get into the point and click genre, or attempting to play this type of games again after a hiatus, this should be a good pick, intriguing story, likeable characters, decent art, easy puzzles with plenty of clues, almost minimal backtracking, top quality voice acting, decent length. Pretty much a gold standard, recommended.

The mechanics are linear puzzles, wrapped up in well written dialogue with variations on both based on the choices you make. Don't let you out this off - the characters are believable and the story is really good and memorable.

Unavowed is a thoroughly enjoyable ride.

The game's setting manages to offer a good amount of substance despite clearly containing more things to explore and show than what is actually explored and shown. I consdier the primary characters to be great, sufficiently developed, and perfectly fitting, and the rest of the cast, while hardly prominent, also has its moments.

The plot isn't necessarily out of this world, but it's solid overall with some engaging twists here and there, and I feel that even though it's not hard to see at least some of them approaching, they manage to work just fine anyway. The artwork and the music have both turned out splendidly. The voice actors' performances were on the level and definitely made a fair contribution to the experience as a whole.

So, yeah. Great stuff.

Wadjet Eye games are point-and-click adventure at its finest. Engaging characters, a delightfully twisty plot and spooky atmosphere, and a fun underlying concept all make Unavowed worth playing. What stands out, though, is that the puzzles are in that sweet spot of being challenging while still being logical and not forcing the player to do a lot of mind-reading and pixel-hunting. It's a satisfying eight or nine hours of game that's well worth the time.

This is an amazing game which tells a intriguing Urban Fantasy Story with a lot of potential ways to solve it. If you like things like the World of Darkness, Harry Dresden and similar stuff, this is for you. "Unavowed" found me at the worst possible time: I wasn't in the mood to play a game at all. I was grumpy and didn't feel like doing anything. But my goodness, did this game grab me! What started as "just a quick look" turned into three and a half hours.

I can recommend "Unavowed" to practically everyone: fans of horror and fantasy, fans of humor, fans of the mystical, and fans of adventure games will all play it—and even people who aren't in the mood to play. Great story, great voice acting, great game!

This game is a wonderful experience. The story is engaging from the very beginning, with difficult choices that truly impact the game's ending (of which there are several), and above all, an incredible plot twist (which I honestly didn't see coming). Despite being rather short (around 9 hours), it's one of those games that is perfectly crafted. I never felt like anything was dragging, and by the end of the game, I didn't feel like any plot had been skipped or shortened just to make the game drag on for a few hours. For me, this game is a definite 10/10.
