Okay not to keep glazing this game

Ally and I just finished it.

I am not exaggerating I have never felt this way about a game or any other work of art.

Not just in terms of it making ally and I bawl our eyes out either.

I genuinely cannot express how moving this game was it was amazing and thats selling it short.

Like the amount of times I was blown away and had to put the controller down in awe or appreciation
Also we just found out Andy serkis is in it as one of the main villains? Which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wild
This is top 3 games of all time for me and only because its limited to its genre of mechanics, it might even be #1 dear god.

It hit so different especially for something coming out with so many great games behind it it is truly unique. And im sorry I won't shut the ♥♥♥♥ up about it

Listen, for the price, this is a great game. I got it on sale. I got early demo access back in the day when this first went on Steam.

Pros:
Nice underwater vegetation.
Fishing seems to work well.
I was surprised that rods and equipment could actually break.
Graphics look alright (keeping price in mind). But it is no UE5 style graphics.
Levelling up system...I was suprised.

Cons:
Where are the boats?
Why are the maps so small?
The camera under water...whats the deal with that? Why can't I change the angle. Am i missing something?

That is all I will write for now. I need to play more. For the price, you can't go wrong.

IM going to be brutally honest here. The game isnt worth your time. I bought it when it was discounted to 1 euro and while I dont regret it, I really dont see myself playing it at any point in the future. The game has zero realism and thats unacceptable for a simulator. Especially one which is called ultimate fishing simulator. In my short time playing it it became abundantly clear to me that its half-assed in practically every realism aspect concerning the equipment and fish fighting mechanics. It takes fishing planets path of higher level = stronger equipment and from what I understood it doesnt even factor the reels capacity and the fishing line thickness when it comes to how much fishing line you can put on it. Moving the rod around feels absolutely useless fighting the fish. And take 'fight' with a spoonful of salt cause 1 landed a 6.7 KG rainbow trout with probably less than a minute of resistance on a 1.5 kg monoline. On the same line I was flinging a 2kg largemouth in the air before collecting it. Aka game physics are non-existent where it matters. Hauled over a 9kg rainbow trout on a 3kg max drag reel (I wasnt even using max drag) in probably less than a minute too. I havent used the aracade mode nor the sandbox mode. Just the realism mode. The shop is half assed too.
The graphics are awful but for the 1 euro price tag its ok I guess (Ultra preset). At least the fish are done well on that end.
From what I understood (In realism mode) each lure is only meant to be used with one retrieval method but I might be wrong on that. And each lure can only be bought at a specific gram weight and while there are different colors I HIGHLY doubt they coded something around colors affecting the lures effectiveness depending on the different environmental factors or the fish targeted.

I dont know if this game was made by coders that dont know how to fish or fishermen who dont know how to code well. Regardless of which scenario it is they definitely gave up mid development. You cant possibly half-ass a game this much otherwise.

Like seriously I throw in the lure, let it drop as low as it will go before closing the reel and when a fish bites directly after the tension line appears directly on the surface of the water and suddenly the fish is at topwater.

Stick to RF4 for realism and genuine fishing mechanics (and of course graphics). Even as a completely FtP gamer you will have a much better time in RF4. As for fishing planet, you have to make the choice of either grinding for hours in a game that is as greedy as a megacorporation but at least has accurate(ish) fishing mechanics, or getting the 1 time purchase UFS 2 which is a vastly inferior simulator game but it wont ask for any more money. If you respect your time then you would do neither and simply find a different category of game to play.

If you want a game for a child that doesnt know about fishing I can recommend UFS 2. If you want an accurate fishing simulator then steer FAAAAAARRR away from UFS 2.
I might not delete this game purely because I can play it offline (Unlike RF4) but beyond that there is zero worthwhile reason to play this.
If I had bought it full price I would have felt scammed. But I can see it giving me a better experience than a packet of chewing gum (1 euro).
Might play more to see if it gets better at any point in the progression.

Aún le falta mucho, se nota que está verde, pero tiene una base increíble, la cámara subacuática tiene que ser retocada, el fondo marino necesita cariño, las texturas del agua parecen bug, la iluminación falla por momentos, la superficie del agua agarra un color a aceite horrible que no desaparece independientemente de la configuración gráfica que lleves. Pero el modelaje de los peces muy bueno y buen detalle añadir cada de trofeos. Espero con ansias los cambios que se avecinen en los siguientes meses.
