Very very cool, it is not like a city with trains manager /construction / resource management. It is like a puzzle, you have to build the train lines, then farm resorcers in farms, mines, etc, then make new lines for move resourcers to factory, etc.
You will have lines with two-way lanes and miltipurpose, you will need to make expensive bridges or tunnels to solve problems. IF you want to get all stars in the little map, you will have to spend not much resorcers, or make it in less time, etc...
SO THIS GAME IS LIKE A PUZZLE GAME ! But with train lore /mechanics, You will use your brain, it is very very satisfactory , easy and hard to make it perfect without trains colliding head-on. This is not the typical game of make a big city with several lines, etc, it is a puzzle game with not so big cities and challenge.
The first game is about complete the maps, but after that you can complete maps with all stars what is a lot of more challenge (like late game)
I Really recomend it, you will use you brain, relax, have cool moments, and you will choose if complete the map with the minimal quests or go for harder puzzles completing it with all stars (You get stars being faster, using less resorcers, being more efficient, etc, but it dont push you or you never feel like you have a clock running if you are playing chill). 10/10 to be honest if you are looking some game where to chill, and use your brain and exercise it.

BRIO Railway Toys simulator, 8/11. Bought it for my boys, ended up playing more.

If you like a relaxed puzzle game (a bit challenging if you go for 5 stars), I definitely recommend it, especially if it's in offer, 100% worth it.

Seu objetivo é transportar matérias-primas, produtos e trabalhadores para locais de fabricação de produtos secundários, terciários etc.

No jogo base há 50 fases bem criativas em cenários variados, com condições de terreno e eventos que podem exigir um pouco mais do jogador.

Ótimo pra quem curte um desafio que está mais no planejamento do que na execução da tarefa de transportar cargas.

Escutar podcasts enquanto joga funciona bem!

O jogo também conta com um editor de fases e parece que a comunidade é bem ativa. Pretendo explorar isso agora, já que acabei de completar as 50 fases.

A nice enough idea but there are a few (annoying) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
The fact that the switches are changed by the trains running over them becomes a chore, rather than a challenge.
The track laying system is very quirky and often enough the track gets finalized where I didn't intend it to be. In other games (especially at the start) the destruction of said falsly laid tracks) effectively costs nothing but this game it does cost you, so you are better restarting completely.
This becomes a chore in later stages.
The high score table would be much better if the names and ranks (rather than percentage averages) were stored and shown.
There is no stacking, meaning you have to micro manage everything and that takes the shine off the game.
If you can pick it up for a tenner or less then go for it but it didn't tick a lot of boxes for me ....

I started my Train Valley adventures with Origins. A running theme in a lot of those reviews was, "This isn't Train Valley 2!" And now I get it. This game is quite different from the others, even though it's got both Valleys and Trains.

The other Train Valleys (and let's not speak of Online, for I am told it is unspeakable by reliable folk) had a random sprinkling of towns that would randomly produce trains, and your job was to lay down tracks to get the trains safely to their randomly selected destinations. You could never rest easy as new towns would come online, requiring updating your rail networks as you went. Basically it was a random brouhaha designed to make your eyeballs go six ways simultaneously.

Really, all these trains all going in different directions and places was quite gruelling to people with attention problems, such as myself. It was [b]hard[/b]. Trains crossing other tracks would flip switches they were travelling against, rails might be forced to cross each other, two trains on the same line but different directions needed a timely line switch... it was an exercise in keeping a lot of plates spinning.

Now, this game? All the destinations are laid out in advance. There you go. Some are towns, turning out a steady supply of workers. Others were producers, needing workers to produce resources, others were factories, needing workers and resources to produce finished goods. You hook up those towns, mines, factories, in whatever order you please... limited by your cash. Which is limited.

So you sort of need to work out the best order to connect things to make enough money to connect more things. At some point maybe you just need to move more things faster, so you upgrade trains or just buy more of them. They're spendy, though. And that's the trick of this game: What's the most efficient way of tackling this supply/demand problem?

You're not freed from the burdens of attentiveness if you're trying to cramalama as many trains as you can on your tracks, and yes cramalama is a word because I said it is. It's just you may wind up sending fleets of trains, a [i]train of trains[/i] if you will, and that really reduces the cognitive budget penalty. Or, were you clever about it, you have isolated chunks of rails that can take their own traffic with little fear of collision. Though, y'know, incorrectly-set rail switches remain a problem.

This has the same problem with track-laying that the other TVs do, in that it's a little stiff and unresponsive, and rewinding track attempts is fiddly. This one is worse than the rest because the terrain is 3D, and you have to lay tracks perpendicular to slopes. Supposing you can work out what is and isn't a slope with the limited angle you get to view. So there's extra fiddlin' with track experiments to be sure you can build in the switches you forsee needing.

I have struggled to get perfect scores on the other Rail Valleys. I was nearly half-done Origins, I haven't finished the first world of the original and likely won't go back to it. This one's a keeper. I have bounced off levels in the other TV games many, many times in pursuit of a perfect score. I have rarely had to do a level more than once here, though I suppose I'll regret typing that in awhile. That's the nature of it.

I'm still not a train guy, but you don't need to be one to get quite a bit out of this game. At its heart, it's a complex puzzle. And if you don't want to bother with that and just pootle about with levels, the timer is just for maniacs trying to chase stars and/or unlock train models anyway.

So, easily, this one has the best valleys and the best trains. I don't know a whole lot about trains, but I am pretty keen on valleys and can talk about that part authoritively.

Game is surprisingly unchill. It's actually amazing how frustrating Train Valley 2 can be. The most annoying quirk is easily the game deciding to dump me out of track-building mode after a few seconds. What's up with that.

Trains' clickboxes are too big too, which makes switching tracks for them a pain at some angles. Many levels have beginner trap design with expensive buildables which will actually softlock you -requiring a reset. Some levels have hidden mechanics that are outright impossible to predict so you'll end up retrying those several times as well. No skipping, you have to do the levels in order. For my perfectionist brain anything less than max completion doesn't feel right, but the game hates me.

I just wanted a simple train game. Train Valley 2 has terrain height and buildable tunnels + bridges which is exactly what I wanted, but it's missing some other key aspects. Trains don't take up space in stations, they just teleport back to your extradimensional railyard I guess. It leaves out interesting decision-making of what to do with trains at stations with no cargo to haul - aka "dead mileage". Levels can take upwards of 20 minutes to complete... so missing out on a perfect score due to a single misaligned track at the end sucks. Being personally responsible for every turn of every train concurrently without a single automation tool on the rats' nests network the maps force you to make isn't what I wanted after all.

Animations and art style are nice, but poorly programmed interface ruins the fun - for example, clicking track switches will sometimes also randomly spawn a train elsewhere on the map at the same time, causing chaos. Sometimes clicking on a train to pause it will pause it... sometimes it doesn't. Game speed controls don't always accept clicks the first time, meaning when you need to slow down to micro manage, sometimes the game just says 'nope'. On its own, it's playable... but compared to the tons of other similar train games out there it just doesn't quite make the cut.

I really liked Train Valley, but they changed the play style completely: rather than frantically sending coloured trains to coloured stations, you have to deliver workers to different stations, where they make goods which are delivered either back to the workers' towns or to other stations to be combined with other goods to make new goods to be delivered. Sounds confusing, but the 50 included levels are perfectly designed to slowly introduce you to the game and increase the complexity. There isn't the same frantic rush like the first game, but the star system rewards you for finishing under a certain time and obeying certain conditions. Given the new design, there's much more scope for expansion compared to the first game, resulting in lots of DLC and several thousand community-made levels. Basically, you can play this forever, and I probably will, so maybe you should, too.

Skvělá logická hra posunující hranice jedničky ještě dál a výš, a přitom pořád svojí vizuální jednoduchostí roztomilá. 序盤の数ステージを過ぎると、1プレイに30分前後かかることもありますが、本作にはプレイ途中でのセーブや中断機能がありません。さらに、一度大きなミスをすると、その場から資金を稼いで立て直すことが難しく、基本的にステージを最初からやり直すことになります。

This is a Train path control puzzle game.
It need micro control to complete.
For me it's a game for relaxing after work, a day for a level.
But I won't buy DLC, after certain level the game just show you
different combination and path, nothing new.
And the path design is very limited.

Um ehrlich zu sein, ich weiß nicht was das süchtig machende an den Puzzles ist, aber meine Güte habe ich darin bereits Zeit versenkt.
Ich glaube es ist vor allem die Möglichkeit die ganze Karte auf einen Blick zu haben und dann mit etwas Geschick die Fahrten richtig zu timen um möglichst schnell die Fahrten zu absolvieren. Ich finde Videos davon erzählen gut von der Mechanik, aber das Gefühl es selber zu spielen ist ganz anders und ich komme immer wieder zurück und sehe seit gut 5 Jahren ständig Erweiterungen, neue Levels und eine aktive Community mit Community Levels.

This is one of the games best that I have ever played. This is afterall a puzzle game that needs constant attention and time management skills. So, I understand that it may not be for everyone. But if you love trains, you should definitely try this. The basic gameplay is already pretty straightforward and there are extra challenges when you play for 5 stars. The graphics is excellent and the UI is minimalist but has everything you need. Track placement can be little annoying sometimes but nothing offputting. The game also runs smoothly. No crash. Didn't encounter any bug. I have already logged 30+ hours and completed the base 50 levels all with 5 stars. In terms of purchase, I would say probably wait for some discount and grab the full bundle with all the DLCs. The DLCs have some interesting new types of stations.

Train Valley 2 is an initially charming puzzle game that is entirely micromanagement with zero macro. It severely lacks quality of life, insofar how a single derailment encourages level restarts every scenario. It is mind-numbing doing the same actions over after making simple mistakes, unlike a typical RTS where a similar miscalculation will only be a setback.

You have to enjoy tweaking every little detail throughout the entire level.

You build the tracks, you tell what trains to go, what trains to stop, what trains to reverse, what tracks to switch. You cannot automate anything, and it's surprisingly linear because of how resource refinement works. It's like being an air traffic controller, but you're the only controller overseeing multiple airports.

Only extreme micro-managers will enjoy this.

Not necessarily a BAD game, but the clunky UI and control scheme - whether on mouse/keyboard or controller - makes even simple tasks feel convoluted and unfun. Not to mention the window for getting stars is ludicrous, even with the game paused, unless you make everything slow.

I'm sure there's tools later in the game that make it easier but if your tutorial and starting levels come off too difficult and/or overly complex even for someone who's proficient in building sims, I doubt someone new to it would enjoy it very much after more than an hour or so.

Thankfully I got this through Humble Choice and gave it a try, but wouldn't have kept it if I paid for it. There's other sim games out there that scratch the itch this gives and with better QoL to make it tolerable.

Ya I really like this game. It is more of a puzzle game than a train or tycoon game. However the puzzles are fun and challenging and there is a leaderboard to see just how perfect you did compared to others. There isn't any automation in the game, it is extremely micro intensive. You are the only one to control ALL the switches on the map. There are also NO train signals so you have to manually tell the trains when to stop and start when on a bypass track waiting for the lane to clear. You have to keep track of all of this for multiple trains, very hard to say the least. Luckily their is a pause button, but even then if your forget something BOOM trains collide or just go down the wrong track. Fun but you will get frustrated because of one small mistake and have to restart the whole level over again.

Train Valley 2 é um jogo de quebra-cabeças onde você tem que montar os trilhos e as rotas por onde o trem irá chegar.

O conceito do jogo é legal e é bem executado no que se propõe, ele é bonitinho e a trilha sonora é okay.

O único problema do jogo e talvez o que faça pessoas desistirem dele ou não jogarem é a dificuldade das estrelas, em uma única fase fazer as 5 estrelas é bastante desafiador em um nível que muitos, inclusive eu mesmo, podem não se divertir de fazer.

Se você não se importa com a dificuldade exacerbada o jogo é uma boa compra.

Nível na escala de divertimento: PIUÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ e em seguida acabo cometendo o maior acidente entre trens já visto no planeta terra.

I really loved this game, I did. It was awesome. It was different than most games I played and kept me really entertained. The replay is definitely there.

Then around level 35, the game gets annoying and is no longer fun.

You spend 20-30 minutes setting up everything just so that it's perfect. You have deployments going out, shipments are making their spots and then, for some reason, there's a barge or a weird conduit that comes out of nowhere and blocks the tracks. But it's too late because you have a train that's about to run into it. And it will cost about $60k to get it fixed. Oh and also, one of the objectives of the level is to not have any crashes.

I put up with this until around level 41 and just quit because this isn't a real game mechanic. This is just some dumb way to keep people in a level over a cheap element in the game. It's cheap and obnoxious.

Honestly, because of that, I don't recommend this game. Which is unfortunate because I really did enjoy it for awhile.

실수한걸수도 있지만 의심도 생긴다
열차 먼저 보내놓고 선로 목적지까지 연결하는걸 나중에 하면 터지는 버그도 있던데
그게 아니라도 터질 이유가 없는거 같은데 터지는 의심이 생긴다

400+ hours and ongoing - as frustrating as the levels can be with constant restarts because of numpty fingers and distractions from 5+ trains operating at once (wouldn't it be helpful to have another set of eyeballs), the exhilaration that comes with those five stars is frankly quite addictive. All aboard the chu chu train!

パズルというよりマルチタスク？をずっとやってる感じがします。

のんびりやる分にはいいけど、スコアや実績を気にすると一気に萎えそうです。

The Good
- Cute graphics that are easy to parse quickly in order to play efficiently
- Controls are smooth and unobtrusive
- Challenges are well balanced and the complexity progresses in a sensible amount
- It's not technically a couch co-op but it's fun to try to solve the puzzles together, especially after the main player gets stuck ^.^'

The Bad
- Honestly I don't remember anything standing out. It's been a long whole since I played it, but I did not finish it. If I play more, I'll try to remember to update this review.

And The Ugly:
- I'm not a fan of trains, so a different aesthetic could have made it enticing for longer.

Um jogo extremamente satisfatório de se jogar.

Com desafios na medida, fases divertidas e um bom nível crescente de dificuldade, Train Valley 2 é uma ótima combinação de puzzle com gerenciamento. Você vai precisar parar pra pensar antes de sair construindo trilhos por aí, principalmente se quiser conquistar todas as estrelas de cada fase.

Único ponto negativo do jogo é você ser obrigado a comprar as expansões para poder ter a experiência completa.

Great train game with lots of levels and DLC´s. Hard to stop playing. Very addictive. Has errors on some levels but they have dissapeared after reloading. It is HARD getting 5 stars later in the game - but a good challenge.

I only recommend if you are very into this style of game and either like super hard to get stars...or have no plans on getting the stars. (Also want to add that some sound effects in game are extremely loud compared to other sound effects. This is very jarring and makes me want to mute game...but then I have problem because I need some of the sound effects to know what is happening.)

I understand that getting the stars is supposed to be a challenge....but it gets a bit ridiculous because you have to get them all in the same attempt.

Other than that stuff...the game is addicting. And after I get all stars on a level, I feel like I did something. Still...some levels are just badly designed that require many attempts or playthroughs of it to finally be able to get those stars and complete the level.

In the first game, you could get some stars in one level...and then replay the level and get the other stars. So, you could focus on certain objectives each time.

In Train Valley 2, you must do it all perfectly in one attempt. For someone like me, that has a few cognitive and movement problems...it makes it especially frustrating. Maddening actually.

One little mistake of not fixing a train switch, and it goes into the wrong station...30 minutes wasted. This is the usual problem that I have. So much stuff going on and having to worry about the time, the trains carrying the right stuff, them not crashing, the tracks all switching constantly............it is a lot to deal with.

After trying a level for 3 hours, the fun is long gone. Honestly, the fun is only half there in many levels of the game because of the stars system implementation and some of the game design making it harder at time than it really needed to be. Many levels seem to only have one or two main ways to design the tracks and order to do it...so a lot of the fun of feeling like you figured it out by doing your own thing......not really there. You only had a certain way to do it.

Figuring it out still is nice, but does not feel special. Just like you played to the tune and did it. Also, quite a few stages have things that happen in them, that will change the layout as time goes on. This sounds interesting, but it basically means that the first playthough is just to see how screwed over you get by the changes. Then each attempt after that is extra stressful while you figure out if you are going to get what you need done by the time the layout of the level changes. This can result in many extra attempts, especially when it comes to trying to get the stars done.

Can be rewarding feeling, but mostly stressful and not nearly as entertaining as Train Valley (1).

А мне эта игра нравится больше, чем первая часть. Нету этого безумного симулятора безумного ЖД диспетчера, где поезда рвутся со станций как собаки на кошку. Здесь каждый поезд запущен кликом по нему и поэтому получается все очень аккуратно и без аварий

Improves on the first in every aspect and the difficulty also ramps up. Some maps are atrociously difficult to master but it's all part of the charm!
