Just wasted potential, unfortunately.
An incredible atmosphere of a dark city filled with monsters, mystery, and a master thief as the main character. The gameplay is also decent.

But the story and characters are just a joke. It’s unclear where things start and where they end, there’s no attachment to the characters, and no real explanation of what’s going on. Feels like the rules and logic of this world are explained in older games from 20+ years ago.

I still gave it a thumbs up simply because it was а pleasure to be in this world — walking through these mystical locations felt good. But it’s a shame that such a great setting ends up feeling meaningless

♥♥♥♥ this thing, Im dropping it midgame. fourth time my playthrough got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cause I missed or forgot to check one of the loot areas and went to the one-way "door". Im not replyaing whole level for another hour and a half of stealth because some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dev thought its a good idea to rewrite saves automatically every now and then. if you dont care about collecting every collectible item, sure, its a good game.

Для стелс-нариков тут всё сделано более-менее приятно. ГГ имеет какую-то изюминку в харизматичности и за ним хочется наблюдать. Но игра дико сырая даже к 2025 году, в итоге вместо наслаждения получаешь больше дискомфорта.
Ты вроде пытаешься проникнуться миром и начинается – то охрана или монстры кружатся с бешеной скоростью, то при обходе у стражи ломаются скрипты на диалоги между собой и они перегораживают выход, из-за чего невозможно пройти без обнаружения. Но забавнее забагованных моделек было только то, что они еще могут видеть через стены, когда ты в тени, и сразу бежать тебя убивать.
Перемещение по городу до жути неудобное и ощущается скованным. То есть мы имеем огромный город, но который совмещён закрученной в 10 узлов кишкой переходами с подгрузками. Это ощущается крайне неудобно и дискомфортно. Причём сама карта тоже нарисована отвратно и по ней тяжело ориентироваться.
Ещё больше дискомфорта добавляет уровень сложности, когда нельзя гражданских убивать, но по факту и оглушать тоже, это сразу рестарт уровня. Так вот самое смешное начинается, когда идут главы с озарёнными, которые все на одно лицо: ходят вместе со всеми, тоже поднимают тревогу, выглядят идентично почти. Но если такого оглушить, то миссия провалена. Вау.
Сюжет начинается хорошо и цепляет, но чем дальше – тем хуже. Под конец совсем становится унылым и заканчивается очень странно и неоднозначно. Персонажи делают странные и глупые вещи, из-за которых не хочется сопереживать.

[b]What I Played:[/b] Over 103 hours of sneaking through every corner of the City, robbing the Baron's goons blind, and compulsively looting every drawer, cabinet, and safe I could find. I played on harder difficulty settings because honestly, this game rewards you for it.

[b]The Good:[/b]

[*]The atmosphere is genuinely incredible. The City feels lived-in and oppressive in the best way possible. Dark alleys, flickering gas lamps, rain-soaked rooftops — I'd just stop and soak it in sometimes before pickpocketing some poor guard.
[*]The stealth mechanics are satisfying once you commit to them. Swoop-dashing between shadows, peaking around corners, timing your movement to guard patrols — when a heist comes together cleanly it feels so good.
[*]Sound design deserves its own shoutout. You can hear guards' conversations through walls, your footsteps change on different surfaces, and the ambient noise of the City is top tier. I played with headphones and it made a massive difference.
[*]The side jobs and exploration kept me busy way longer than the main story. There's a stupid amount of loot tucked into hidden rooms and secret passages. Finding those felt more rewarding than most of the actual missions.

[*]The story is... there. It's not terrible but it never really grabbed me. Garrett himself is cool but the plot kind of meanders in the middle chapters. I was more invested in robbing people than saving the world or whatever was happening.
[*]The loading screens between zones got old fast. The City is broken into chunks and you hit a loading screen constantly when moving between areas. After 100 hours I could probably draw the loading screen from memory.
[*]AI can be a bit inconsistent. Guards will sometimes spot you through geometry or forget you exist two seconds after you were standing right in front of them.

[b]Verdict:[/b] [b]Recommended[/b] - Look, I put 103 hours into this game. That speaks for itself. If you like stealth games and want something you can really sink into, Thief delivers. It's not flawless, but creeping through the City never stopped being fun. Turn the lights off, put on headphones, and go steal everything that isn't nailed down. And then steal the nails.

Запустил Thief с мыслью: «О, сейчас я стану мастером скрытности — красться в тенях, обчищать карманы богачей и уходить незамеченным». А получил симулятор «успей спрятаться за три секунды до того, как стражник повернётся».

Что тут творится:

Ты — Гаррет, вор с фирменным прищуром и кучей полезных гаджетов. Твоя задача — не врываться с криком «А-а-а!», а тихо прокрасться мимо стражи, обчистить сейфы и раствориться во мраке. В теории всё просто. На практике же:

ты замираешь, как статуя, пока стражник ходит в метре от тебя;

считаешь шаги патруля («Раз… два… сейчас он повернётся — оп, перебегаю!»);

пытаешься бесшумно открыть замок, а он скрипит так, будто ты пилишь дерево;

прячешься за шторой, а она предательски шевелится от сквозняка.

Мои главные открытия:

Тени — твои лучшие друзья. Но иногда игра решает, что «вот эта тень недостаточно тёмная», и стражник тебя видит. Спасибо, игра, очень неожиданно.

Бросок бутылки — магия отвлечения. Кидаешь бутылку в угол — стражник идёт проверять. Кидаешь вторую — он уже хмурится и шепчет: «Что‑то тут не так…»

Лут повсюду. В каждом доме — картины, драгоценности, кошельки с монетами. Я начал подозревать, что жители города специально раскладывают ценности на видных местах, чтобы Гаррету было удобнее.

Стражники — то слепые, то экстрасенсы. Один не замечает тебя в двух шагах. Другой слышит, как ты моргнул за стеной. Логика? Не, не слышали.

Атмосфера — топ. Дождь стучит по крышам, туман ползёт по улицам, факелы мерцают. Хочется просто постоять и послушать, как капает вода с карнизов.

Плюсы (и их хватает!):

Графика и звук. Город выглядит так, будто сошёл с иллюстраций к мрачным сказкам. А звуки шагов, скрипов и шёпотов заставляют вздрагивать.

Геймплей. Когда всё получается — чувствуешь себя гением скрытности: прокрался, обчистил, ушёл незамеченным. Чистое удовольствие!

Гаджеты. Стрелы с верёвкой, дымовые бомбы, водяные стрелы — столько инструментов для творчества, что иногда забываешь, зачем пришёл.

Свобода выбора. Хочешь — пробираешься в обход, хочешь — отвлекаешь стражников, хочешь — вырубаешь дубинкой и прячешь тело (но это уже не так стильно).

Детализация мира. Заглядываешь в дом — а там хозяйка ругается с мужем, стражники сплетничают, слуги перешёптываются. Живой город!

Минусы (куда ж без них):

Иногда ИИ бесит. Стражник может стоять спиной к тебе, но чуять, что ты за шкафом. Магия?

Местами слишком темно. Ты не скрываешься — ты слепо щупаешь стены в надежде найти дверь.

Гринд лута. Иногда кажется, что игра не пускает тебя дальше, пока не соберёшь 50 картин и 100 кошельков.

Падения с крыш. Гаррет ловко карабкается, но иногда решает, что эта крыша — отличная точка для прыжка вниз. Без причины. Просто так.

Итог: Thief — это как прогулка по тёмному переулку, где за каждым углом либо мешок с золотом, либо стражник с дубинкой. Если любите:

скрытность вместо силы;

атмосферу мрачного города;

чувствовать себя хитрее всех вокруг;

собирать всё, что плохо лежит, —

…то игра для вас.

Оценка: 8/10 (минус балл за пару нервных срывов из‑за стражников‑экстрасенсов, плюс балл за ощущение, что ты — настоящий мастер теней).

P.S. После прохождения я неделю ходил по квартире на цыпочках и проверял, нет ли теней, где можно спрятаться. Видимо, игра работает.

A flawed hidden gem!
Thief (2014) is a game caught between trying to be a modern blockbuster and staying true to its hardcore stealth roots. The atmosphere is incredible—the dark, Victorian-industrial city feels heavy and oppressive, making every shadow your best friend. The sound design is top-tier, and sneaking past guards while looting every gold coin in sight is still very satisfying.
However, it’s not without its issues. The story is a bit of a mess, and the level design feels very restricted compared to the open-ended classics or even Dishonored. There are too many 'loading screens' between small areas, which breaks the immersion.
The Verdict: If you’re a die-hard fan of the original series, you might find it disappointing. But if you’re looking for a solid, atmospheric stealth game and you catch it on a Steam sale, it’s absolutely worth a play. Just don't expect it to redefine the genre.

Thief gave me Dishonored vibes, so I wanted to give it a try. And I hated it. The gameplay sucks, or I suck, ether way it wasn't fun. The whole stealth mechanics is confusing and inconsistent. I could be in the shadows and be spotted from across a room, or I could be is a tiny tiny shadow in the middle of a bridge and have a dude with a touch walk right by me. The game also sucks at explaining thing, cause I only thought the focus was to highlight things and not an stealth itself. The "open world" don't feel that open and very claustrophobic. The story is boring too. There was no Hammerites, the Pagans, or the Keepers, and Erin is an annoying character, why are me trying to save her ungrateful a**? It looks nice, again visuals give off Dishonored vibes. But 2/3 though the game I just wanted it over, also the final boss was stupid.

I've heard older Thief fans say they don't like this game and that's fair. But I've avoided any detailed opinion for or against this game beyond "I like it," "I don't like it" so that my opinion on this game wouldn't be "that's a cute opinion, did a youtuber give it to you?" y'know what I mean? unencumbered I guess.
Anyway I just want to say that thus far I've really enjoyed this game a lot. I like the way it handles stealth; although sometimes the levels are designed with light and enemy placement that feels like it's impossible to this game 100% collecting all loot without being spotted etc. etc. That may be a skill issue intended with the game that you can't fully complete everything, at least not on a first go around, and is therefore an issue that can be fixed upon repeat playthroughs trying to learn how to maximize achieving the win conditions as much as possible. Very Hitman in that respect, especially since you can replay chapters and chapters are all self contained and don't take too long such that repeat plays would be exhausting I think.
I like hiding in the shadows, and I like stealing as much loot as physically possible. I try to always avoid combat because I just prefer to engage in the stealth aspect of this game which I like the most and think is this games strongest aspect of it.
The story is meh, but what can I say, I guess I have a thing for dark brooding male centered fantasies who's main characters are actually wet puppies. Estrogen would fix Garret, trust.
This game does demand a lot of your attention and so it makes it difficult to watch a podcast or smthn in the background while you play, which is a good thing I like the challenging demands of the game; it just conflicts with my adhd ahh brain that can't stand non-constant stimulation a lot of the time. Doesn't mean I won't keep trying lol, no matter how much it gets me killed.
I would personally recommend save scumming this game to reduce frustration, unless you want that difficulty, especially for repeat playthroughs. I limit my save scumming to only whenever I enter a closet as I feel that is a fair way to do it that doesn't completely erase the challenge.

Не могу рекомендовать игру никому. Чтобы это осознать - мне потребовалось 32 часа и прохождение на 100%. Третья часть вора - одна из моих любимых игр во всей библиотеке, поэтому решил, что надо перепройти четверку (ее пробегал в момент выхода). Для того чтобы ощутить геймплей на кончиках пальцев, прохождение стартовал на особой сложности с условиями: без киллов. тревог, ранений, прицела, концентрации, лечения. Наверно только эта настройка дала какой-то челендж в игре. Тем не менее ИИ врагов это рандом от слепоты до рентгена, так что часть моментов приходилось траить десятками минут.

Сюжет. Забейте, его нет. Если в двух словах - есть неприятная истеричная баба. Из-за нее все проблемы ГГ.

Что мне реально понравилось - это доп задания от мужика, который собирает механического человека и от директора цирка. Они интересные и забавные.

В остальном - унылая беготня и подбирание монеток с пола. Скипайте смело. Лучше поиграйте в третью часть.

Перезапуск Thief вышел достаточно неоднозначным, но он не заслуживает всего того негатива который на него вылился. Да, игровой процесс стал проще и менее интерактивным. Да, игра стала более линейной в прохождении на манер Splinter Cell. ДА, она ни в коем разе не дотягивает до оригинальной дилогии Thief от Looking Glass, но разве это так ужасно? Разработчики взяли, да и доделали Deadly Shadows, не вмешиваясь в оригинальные каноны. Не без проблем конечно, но в целом, у них получилось.
В этой игре шикарный арт дизайн, великолепная атмосфера, полно экшена, стелса, загадок, головоломок и куча добра, которое можно прикарманить — практически всё то же что и было в оригинальных играх, только на современный лад. Она отлично подойдёт как для знакомства с серией, так и для обычного прохождения.
Не слушайте нытиков. Я, как человек что был просто в восторге от двух оригинальных Thief, со всей ответственностью заявляю, что перезапуск это, как минимум, хорошая отдельная игра, а за свою цену вообще так и вообще топ, берите не пожалеете.

If you enjoy stealth games, this game is very underrated. It's a simple experience, but the atmosphere is well done, and it's quite enjoyable. Don't compare it to T Gold... it's more streamlined and reminds me of Styx more. It's good, grab it on sale and it's 100% worth it.

i understand it's a bit divisive for OG fans but i had fun. it was stylish, garrett is a cool character, and the world was interesting. it also still looks pretty damn great for a 12 year old game. i wish it would get it's own sequel but since this was so divisive, it probably won't happen. it's a shame because i cant do mouse and keyboard and i cant get the older games to work with controller well enough

the only thing that really drove me nuts was the traversal. i get that traveling through the city was part of the point but jesus, would it have killed them to label the map at all? i was constantly getting lost and turned around becauas i couldn't remember where certain streets were and forgetting where the entrances to the various area were, especially when those entrances were actually windows/shortcuts through random buildings lol

Ignore the negative reviews. I enjoyed this game a lot. It is a lot of fun and the story is interesting. The vibes and designs of the city are also really nice. This game is meant to be a stealth game so the focus here is not on the combat at all, which is why i didn't really care about it. I played most of the game hiding and sneaking around and killing silently; that's how the game should be played.

Long story short, if you like stealth then definitely go for it.
-Interesting story.
-Dark Gloomy city vibes and world that is well designed.
-Stealth encouraged.
-Some fun side quests.

Další hra, která mě mile překvapila. Už nevím, co přesně jsem očekávala, když jsem to kupovala, ale rozhodně ne, že to bude takhle skvělý! V Thiefovi hrajete za no... jak už název napovídá – za zloděje, což možná může znít trošku obyčejně, ale není. Nejde jen o vylamování zámků, zneškodňování pastí, okrádání lidí z kapes a utíkání z místa činu. V tomto příběhu je v sázce mnohem víc. Jak se může v rukou zloděje ocitnout osud celého města? Vlastně docela snadno, ale naložit s ním správně? To už nebude úplně lehké, ale bude to stát za to. Zkrátka příběh je skvělý a hodně silný. Neustále se vyvíjí a je i fakt napínavý.
Další věc, co se mi líbí, je, že město je ve steampunkovo-viktoriánském stylu a i postavy jsou v tom stylu oblečené, což možná moc hráčů tolik neocení, ale já to mám ráda :).
Celkově se mi hra líbila a trochu mě mrzí, že jsem ji tak dlouho přehlížela a zahrála si ji až teď.

I've played this through twice, and am on my third playthrough now. I really love the Thief franchise, and I remembered not loving but still appreciating this one. I played for about 3 hours and then next day picked up Dishonored instead because that's what I actually wanted to be doing.
The atmosphere is pretty but repetitive. The storyline is okay at best, and the lore is kinda all over the place--with minimal ties to the existing universe. It's not a terrible game, but it's barely "Thief," to me.

Deadly Shadows is far superior, just get that instead. They really nuked any potential of combat in this one and it is a quite boring stealth game and the part of the game that is decent feels like a complete ripoff of Dishonored. The story was so boring I don't even know what was going on but Deadly Shadows was an interesting game and I am not the type to typically follow game stories that deep.

Прекрасная игра, интересный, хоть и короткий сюжет, приятная атмосфера, не потребовала pro-навыков (играл на средней сложности). Остались некоторые вопросы к лору, как минимум один крупный про "где вы были этот год".
Очень хочется продолжение или похожих по механике и атмосфере игр. Dishonored заиграна до дыр) Много похожих решений, отдельно улыбнуло.
И большое спасибо разрабам, что портировали на macOS: после смены железа я оказался перед очень скудным выбором, во что поиграть, и Thief оказалась просто бриллиантом.

Fun game with several downsides.

Gameplay was fun in the missions, lots of different ways to go to your objective.
A game for loot hoarders.
Dont forget you are a thief, not an assasin that fact is very well made. You can play agressive but you make it hard for yourself.
Stealth gameplay is very good. Some other stealth games could learn a thing from this.
If you don't like the game in the beginning keep playing, The missions get better from chapter 3 and 4.

Downsides:
- The open world structure has too many QTE trough the city.
- The style is well made but i would like a bit more colour play in the open world. Everything looked the same.
- Combat gameplay is clunky.
- Sidequest are boring with too many traveltime in between. Only client jobs are fun.

It has more downsides than up sides if you make a list but it was wotth while playing for the low price you get in a sale.

I recommend this game if you are against the Philosophy and Design of Immersive Sims, this game is an absolute betrayal to it's own series roots, play Thief Gold, Thief 2, Deadly Shadows and even Gloomwood for a modern feeling Thief game, skip this wretched, Hollow Goth variant of A masterpiece series.

Игра вышла в далеком 2014 году.А знакомство с серией я начал с самой первой части(я ее так и не прошел).Игра близкая по духу с Dishonored,в 2026 году играется достаточно приятно.Да, история здесь не самая главная,но она есть.Самое главное здесь в сути кор-геймплея,название говорит само за себя.Укради как можно больше и разными способами.Для любителей стелса,однозначно рекомендую

This game sucks. I tried to replay it in hopes that I would find something to enjoy about it, but no. Last time I played this in full was 2021 or so? I bought it on PS4 and finished it once and hated it so so so much. Sure, on this replay, there's things I appreciate about it but it's very little things. I love the hubworld, I like the lighting, and for whatever reason I don't mind the swooping mechanic. But basically everything else has problems?

I often hear people who like the Thief games say Deadly Shadows is the lowest point for some reason, and I always hear examples of the lack of memorable areas. I replayed Deadly Shadows and finished it recently and I can say for certain that I'll remember a lot more from that game than I will Thief 2014. This game could've been so awesome if they just didn't ditch all the ideas they had on paper in favor of streamlined and "accessible" gameplay. Think back to Deadly Shadows in that regard. I'd argue it's just as much of an immersive sim as the first 2 Thief entries are. Sure, it cuts back on a lot of things due to being MADE for console, but it's still an immersive sim. Thief 2014 on the other hand feels so far from the Thief identity outside of Garrett and for whatever reason Basso?

In regards to the levels, I feel like there's one level that kind of just sums up the entire game for me. A linear brothel level with very simple puzzles and lots of weird stuff going on for no reason. This to me feels like an attempt to be provocative and edgy just for the sake of it. And this level seriously got me thinking about how Looking Glass would tackle themes like brothels in the early entries. They were clever creators. They probably would've found some way to draw parallels between that line of work and what Garrett does. Thief as a whole feels like some sort of class commentary. But none of this is here!

Not to mention this game kinda does a bunch of things similar to the early entries such as the Shalebridge Cradle-esque level that I know many people love but I just found it so dull. The storyline as a whole does basically the exact same thing as Deadly Shadows but it's missing the keepers and factions and all that other stuff.

Oh yeah also unsurprisingly I despise the gameplay. This game tries so hard to be cool and edgy and this even includes making the parkour look cool. Oftentimes you'll find yourself falling off ledges or doing things you didn't wanna do, such as situations where you try to leap toward a rope and you end up just looking down and dying. This happened to me a lot. I only ended up using rope arrows twice by the way! TWICE! In this entire 8 hour game! There's like a weird upgrade system that only applies when you are in focus mode which is this game's version of cool vision that makes you see things that an imsim would make you find yourself but this game is terrible so goodbye to good game design.

All things considered, I think the art direction is decent and the artwork during the loading screens are very cool.

I honestly wish steam had a neutral option when it came to whether I recommend this to others. The game is by no means the worst i've ever played, but it most certainly was not among the best either. It's incredibly average but I do have a lot of gripes with it. My first and main issue with the game is the constant loading screens. The game isn't a huge open world, it has narrow alleys and rooftop traversal so why is it that I have to load into a new section of the map? it makes little to no sense when you realize this game released after games like GTA V and Batman Arkham City. While they are both open world games, the point stands that if they didn't have constant loading from area to area why should thief? The enemy AI is also frustrating at times to work around in stealth. It felt like strategizing was pointless when you really couldn't fully predict where the enemy would go if you throw a bottle, sometimes they go towards it other times they essentially bug out and stay still. Another thing that I felt like was horrible game design was that progression was almost entirely through buy things from some merchant guy. Why is it that every upgrade for my equipment or even obtaining equipment in general has to be done through this guy when they could've just integrated it into the story somehow. It just felt like a lazy way to have progression. It's because of all these reasons the game feels rushed, which it could've been with the story feeling very insignificant and not engaging in the slightest until half way through.

Деревянное управление - нельзя спрыгнуть с небольшой высоты, если это не прописано скриптом, походить и полазить можно только там где разрешили.

Озвучка нормальная, графика нормальная, интерактив приятный, но этого недостаточно потому что играть тяжело.

Having been fairly "meh" on the Thief reboot upon original release, I decided to play it again now that I'm a bit older, wiser, and more patient. Ultimately I'm glad I did because there is more than meets the eye at first glance, here. While it is fairly shallow in terms of gameplay systems, it still managed to suck me in every time I sat down to play it.

[h2]The Good[/h2]
Riffing off of Dishonored's unforgettable setting (and gameplay, and art style, and enemy design [i]cough cough[/i], sorry where was I?), Thief offers a gloomy atmosphere that made for the perfect cozy game to relax with in the dead of Winter. With this playthrough, I committed to slowing things down a bit and exploring more. What I found was that there were more immersive sim-lite elements than I previously realized. There are practically always multiple paths to accomplish something, and certain advantages can be gained by listening to guards or reading notes. I also want to shout out the level designers for absolutely nailing the horror elements found within a certain mission in this otherwise action/stealth title!

[h2]The Bad[/h2]
On the flip side of the coin, the open "hub" area and overall looting experience leaves a lot to be desired. The side missions and general exploration lose their charm very quickly so I recommend keeping those to a minimum to avoid burnout. However, the client missions do offer a more focused experience which I did enjoy. Furthermore, the player movement and general physics were not very polished. The player character often has trouble on ledges and grabbing ropes - a bug that resulted in more than a few falls to my death. Lastly, this playthrough was riddled with sound bugs as enemy voices faded in and out of audible volume. This occurred in natural gameplay and even a few cutscenes.

The biggest pitfall of the reboot is its overall lack of systems. There are only about 3 difference-maker tools in the game and they can all be obtained cheaply, and early in the game. I just didn't feel like I had enough tools to carve my own path, nor did I have to endure any real challenge to obtain them. The skill tree system was also bare-bones to say the least. There were some meaningful upgrades, but they were few and far between.

[h2]Conclusion[/h2]
All in all, I think Thief is worth the low price for any action/stealth fans. It's not a challenging game but it does have a moderate amount of depth for those who appreciate being rewarded for observation. I had a good time ratting my way through the cold, dark city sewers.

Thief 2014 is just average at best...

[h3]Story[/h3]
The player controls Garrett a thief which is the title, the story goes as Garrett is trying to find Erin another thief who went missing after a failed heist which causes him to be in a coma for a year, after waking up Garrett right eye changed which lets him able to focus his sight on hidden objects.

All I can say the story is mediocre at best there is nothing special about it and all I can think about is if the game took inspiration from Dishonored with the supernatural elements. A lot of the characters aren't as memorable and not as interesting as the game present, the goal of the antagonists is just painfully cartoonish not in a good way.

[h3]Gameplay, Map Design, & Loot[/h3]
The player uses a bow with different arrows depending on the situation, now at first the concept is good but after playing for a while most of the arrows are pretty much useless or even mandatory to use example the Rope Arrow which is only there to open a path the only path most of the time. If the player is spotted they can engage in melee combat which is probably one the worse aspect in the game as once the enemy is staggered there is an opening for a finisher animation to do that the player will have to hold down the button for a few second which is troublesome if the player is surrounded, it's best to just avoid confronting the enemies and just stick to the shadows. Now besides that the player can lockpick which really opens up some areas and loot but be careful as enemies might be close and once they hear a fail lockpick they will investigate the sound. There are also tools where the players can get a Wrench to open another path or a Wirecutter to disable traps both are just one-note.

Now the problem is everything has an animation which will get old after a few hours mainly the map transitioning with opening the windows and crawling into a tight space because the map design is flawed, like going to an area only to be at the wrong side so the player have to backtrack with another animation being played which feels tiring, the map itself doesn't encourage exploration as a lot of missions are very linear for a stealth game it's really bad because the game is suppose to give more options to engage with how the player interact with the map to get to the objective.

The looting and reward in this game is pretty much average once all the tools and upgrades are unlock and all collectibles are gathered there isn't any incentive to go and steal which is the point of the game to be a thief. There are challenges but at this point I can't even recommend playing them as there is no reason to.
