It's kind of a super simplified Project Zomboid, but with way better graphics and an actual storyline.
It's not a bad game, I rather enjoy it, most of the time. But since it crashes somewhat often and it is riddled with bugs, I can't recommend it, specially not at full price.

Yes and no.

Game is a follow up to the popular flash games back in the days "The Last Stand", and now it gets a sequel. The story is very plain and short. Though trying out whole experience is a bit eh? Ending is also so-so but you do get to see guest appearance.

I should mention I did grew up on the flash series as I loved what it had to offer and with the final (for now) installment it gives a 3D perspective of our main Survivors that go roam around, scavenge, craft, shoot and melee zombies to death. It does offer variety amount of weaponry for your tasting to choose from to expand the gameplay. Same way how there are four chapters with different set of level themes to them, so you could roam around with a little bit of RNG involved from what you can scavenge- though unfortunately some levels remain same once you replay it over and over again, at least enemies provide some tense fight with couple of baddies to go against.

Now my main issue is the gameplay, mostly skill points once you max out all of them. Stamina is one of them where you run out of it quickly and stamina perk maxed out doesn't help at all, if you end up in a tight spot it's a big fail for you forcing you to start over. Game is short and easy to recover but very unforgiving how perks are overlooked. Additionally some weapons like nade throwing even combined with its perk throwing ability? Problem here would be the geometry, I died a lot of times trying to throw something afar and in night time couldn't see where it landed, apparently throwing is very janky and same deal how grenade launchers that you fire trajectory next to a hill or high level geometry doesn't align or bode well with how you aim, resulting yourself to shoot at your feet for a quick stalemate... Additionally bugs, sometimes enemies spawn in front of you or glitch through geometry making random moments to turn out bad for you as well. Generally speaking for a spoiler free experience, you have to beat the game five times and that's it. It's just the game does deserve more polish but left out with small hiccups so I'll leave the judgment to you as there are UI and HUD glitches sometimes as well.
Other than that there's also hardcore mutators making the game harder for bigger guns and bigger rewards but they're very niche once you already know the meta.

So yeah, I don't dislike it, it did gave me mixed impressions but not as far as I'd dislike it even though it did give me awry moments but so far not the worst thing to try really.

15 years after union city you enter a cage full of volunteers that are infected with mutated zombie virus, step by step you discover new areas new challenges new weapons new enemies and new bugs... i wasn't sure if i want to give this game a positive reviev but i had a lot fun playing it, each run my character got stronger, each run i learnd something new, unfortunately this game has a lot of game breaking bugs and sometimes RNG is really bad, you need batteries to get something called ANTIVIRAL it's a serum that stops infection for a short period of time, you can find it in sealed HERC boxes that need batteries to run, you can also make it in a HERC station with samples from special infected, but you won't always find it not taking the serum progresses the infection, the more infected you are the less HP you have, but at least you get mutations that are passive buffs... and most of them suck really half of them are useless but there are great and amazing ones too, like +1%HP after evry melee hit or +10% stamina
now let's talk about glitches
-invisible zombies (killed me twice)
-unreachable fuel canisters
-teleporting zombies
-zombie animations glitching after jumping over a fence/fences are hella broken in this game you can penetrate thru a solid concre wall if a fence is close to it
-bullets not dealing damage
-you can't shoot up or down or throw a utility
only if this game wasn't full of bugs and developers would add multiplayer it would be a great game othervise is OK at best

If the game wasn't abandoned I'd give a full whole hearted 'Buy this ASAP!' review. But it's abandoned and a lot of unused mechanics. For starters there's a minor loot/craft mechanic that has pipe weapons (melee and guns) but it isn't really implemented. To add to that it's not really stated until after you have a bank full of weapons that you can make a pipe SMG.

PROS:
-Rogue lite style game play for a zombie apocalypse is honestly refreshing (each character has been infected and they must scavenged in 'No Man's Land' for loot to send back to the main base camp)
-Combat feels good (not amazing but good)
-Guns feel great! You feel each bullet shot and the impact of it
-Minor narrative storyline where base camp communicates with each infected citizen on a scavenging mission (I enjoyed it)
-You can't keep any gear you pickup until you unlock 'survivor stashes' and it's limited. BUT that 200 rounds of ammo you stored 2 runs ago comes in clutch!

CONs:
-Game is abandoned
-Leveling system has no purpose
-Mutation unlocks are not clear (each infected character has 7 bars of health that is slowly corrupted by the zombie virus. Each bar completion gives the player a choice between 3 random mutation which affect stats and gear. You can unlock new mutations but it is unclear on how to do so)
-Thrown weapons do not land where the marker indicates. Just for example my last playthrough before I uninstall had a character in the final zone with only 1 and 1/2 health bars lost from zombie virus. I tossed a grenade at an automatic turret. Trajectory marker has the grenade landing at the base of the turret. What happen next was my character throwing the grenade at a box directly in front of them and having it bounce back to it's feet. KA-BLAM! Back to starting area.
-There are none implemented GUI tabs that are just sitting there with no data. TOOLS and QUESTS have no purpose.
-Game is abandoned. Shame.

Final thoughts. If you can catch it on a hefty discount go ahead and grab it. It's fun for what it is. Outside of that since this game is abandoned and left 'un-cooked' don't bother. So much potential but it's just simply wasted.

В целом если просто поиграть то сойдет, гемплей не замысловатый, но игра очень сильно на любителя куча багов, которые в игре есть остались и видимо останутся уже навсегда но да ладно, это считай облегчает какое ни какое прохождение игры.
Сам сюжет кринжовый как буд-то на коленках написали и подали как за отличную идею
Тупость в виде того что можно таскать один только антидот и я который нашёл на одной локи 3 штуки и в кармане ещё одна штука и на мне заюзаный на половину эффект от него ещё есть, а игра говорит нет чел нельзя так только один, а что если он возьмёт больше одного то галактика схлопнется в этой вселенной игры? Для меня это бред был когда проходил данное произведения исскуства.
На счет достижение они все простые до чертиков не считая с СУМКАМИ конечно я просто брал ложил в казик и ливал и так по кругу пока не дропнулось, на счет 5 вылазок и 100 лвл можно с руководства чела взять сейвы если вам как и мне после такого ШИКАРНОЕ сюжета надоело в ЭТО играть
Жаль нету мультиплеера иначе игра весела больше слов чем сейчас.
А так рекомендую почему не то?

The Last Stand: Aftermath is the latest entry in this nostalgic zombie game series that originally began as Flash games. This release revisits many of the core mechanics that defined the original games, such as resource scavenging mechanicand the zone exploration system, but presented in a more polished and modern way.

Despite these improvements, the game is plagued by many technical issues that terribly compromise the gameplay and the overall performance of the game. The black screen critical error that makes the game nearly unplayable and has no clear fix and that still hasn’t been fixed, despite being addressed by the developer more than five years ago, along with issues like clipping through the floor and obstacles, flying and invisible enemies that aren’t supposed to. This game seems to have been completely abandoned by its developer, as it hasn’t received any support for so many years. I definitely don’t recommend this title, even though I had a lot of fun playing it while trying to overlook its terrible flaws.

The Last Stand: Aftermath features crafting and simplified survival mechanics that make the gameplay more fun than the previous entries. However, the game’s crafting system is quite simple and doesn’t allow you to make truly useful things at the beginning. This mechanic becomes less important later, since most useful items such as guns, melee weapons, ammo, and batteries can be obtained through scavenging different places.

On the other hand, the combat feels quite smooth and dynamic, whether using melee weapons or guns. Each rifle, pistol, and machine gun feels unique, and they can be upgraded with different attachments, giving them a certain degree of RPG-style customization.

The game’s story is fairly simple and linear. It starts with an interesting premise that justifies the game’s roguelite style, but it is later handled in a very superficial way, with disconnected and pretty boring main missions. Speaking more about the roguelite aspect of the game, it’s fairly well done. With each run, we gain experience that can be used to unlock permanent abilities for future characters.

[h3]Art and World Design[/h3]
The game’s graphics are visually gorgeous and sometimes a bit too colorful for a survival zombie game. The models and textures of guns, zombies, characters, landscapes, and houses are incredibly detailed and compelling. On the other hand, the game’s zone design is very wide and varied. There are many different and interesting environments to explore, such as neighborhoods, stores, farms, military bases, swamps, bunkers and more. This is the most appealing aspect of the game. Unfortunately, due to several collision issues with environmental obstacles, objectives spawning outside the map boundaries, and other accessibility problems, the exploration system and its enviroments end up feeling wasted and broken.

The soundtrack doesn’t stand out much, but it serves its purpose and fits the game’s atmosphere fairly well. On the other hand, most of the sound effects are recycled from previous entries, but with lower sound quality. Sometimes, the sounds of the guns and the zombies feel a bit out of place or sound very low.

Stupid game. you hold shift to climb over stuff. Does not work when zombies are chasing you so you die. First 2 games are cool this is not. The collective package is not worth more then 5$. [i]The Last Stand: Aftermath[/i] is a zombie survival roguelike, a de facto successor to [i]TLS: Dead Zone[/i], and taking place 15 years after the events of its prequel, [i]Last Stand: Union City[/i]. You will be taking the role of an already-infected survivor, who is volunteering to go beyond his colony into the wasteland beyond. There is no escaping your fate, as you are already dead before you set foot outside the gates. However with every journey you attempt to gather resources for your home colony - as your current volunteer dies, you can choose the next hero to take his place and venture forth into a one-way trip.

During every run, you are given a car, minimum equipment, and told to go out and locate as many supplies as you can. You can use the supplies you find during your path to improve your chances of survival, or leave them in marked caches for the next exile to find, before your deteriorating volunteer has either succumbed to the wilderness or been mauled by the undead. The world will contain items of Knowledge - forgotten artifacts which carry the ancient wisdom of the bygone human civilization. Collecting these mementos grants Knowledge points which are shared between survivors. Radios, found in the world, can be used to call-in your base in order to upgrade your character and every other consequent exiled volunteer with Knowledge.

With every volunteer iteration, you have a limited amount of time as the infection gradually consumes segments of your health until you succumb to the virus. With every corrupted health segment you mutate, you can choose from 3 randomly selected perks which may offer a combination of boon and debuffs. These perks can range from a camouflaging smell that makes it harder for zombies to detect the player, to suddenly-musclebound arms that improve fist damage zombies while slowing overall movement speed. As you are exiled, you are given one antiviral - upon injection, it temporarily stalls the progression of your infection, buying you much needed time.

[i]The Last Stand[/i] sustains an engaging roguelike formula, culminating in an adaptable survival gameplay. As you are faced with degrading melee weapons, limited ammo and progressively extreme environments, players would need to use every resource and trick to keep moving forward. You can throw items and create noise to distract the hordes, sneak around the environments to avoid confrontation, craft traps, create makeshift weapons, and manufacture various tools from scrap and resources you stumble across. The stealth option is available, but arriving at a heavy cost— every moment the player’s infection is spreading, and sneaking around takes away precious time. [i]Aftermath[/i] perfectly encapsulates the dreadful risk-vs-reward aspect that is deep-rooted in the franchise - your choices will strategically shape your run, whether it’s the locations you visit, which items you take with you, and whether you decide to hunt down dangerous zombie variants to craft extra doses of the antidote which keeps you going by just enough.

Every world iteration in [i]Aftermath[/i] has an impressive amount of diversity. There are four distinct ‘biomes’, each with a half-dozen unique location types, and offering a variety of possible layouts. In between supply runs, you will encounter unique story missions which build upon the lore of the post-apocalyptic world, as well as provide clues which lead to the climax of the story.
This creates a perception of your journey feeling epic in broader scope, as despite the disconsolate nature of your final days, you feel a sense of urgency and the desire to march forth to explore the world.

The farther the player travels from home base, the stranger and more utterly wrecked the locations become. Every stop to scavenge the wasteland will show how utterly decayed the world has become, and it would be up to you to make one last stand beyond the wall to bring salvation to the remnants of humanity.

好玩，游戏有一定难度，对手部乘区有一定要求，游戏没有设定不同难度，如果是奔着无脑爽的可以划走了，对于喜欢思考得失，又有一点操作的玩家来说非常对胃口，游戏物资很多，边打边搜完全跟得上消耗，怪物强度合理，碰见第一次就知道下一次怎么躲了，部分狭小地图疑似初见杀，需要有一定解题思路。玩了3小时踩中两次陷阱，第一次死的莫名其妙，第二次地雷居然没炸死我，部分地图需要交学费，不喜欢交学费的建议看看攻略。游戏难度0.3个只狼。

After reading the reviews I was skeptical. This is not meant to be an easy game. You have to learn from your mistakes and if you dont... Random zombies do not appear. They are called leapers and some, blend into the background. Sneak around, use your flashlight, be careful. I rather enjoy it and every time I die, I want to jump back in and I go farther and longer. The game is a roguelite where you die repeatedly until you manage to obtain permanent upgrades that allow you to progress further. You travel by car, exploring cities in search of items, and the farther you go, the stronger the enemies become.

Throughout the journey, you need to keep looking for vaccines to prevent your infection from advancing. The infection reduces your health and makes it easier for enemies to kill you, and you die when it reaches 100%.

The key to surviving roughly 70% of the game is to focus almost exclusively on military bases and stages that contain H.E.R.C. Stations. These locations always have labs where you can manufacture vaccines using samples collected from enemies, or you can use batteries to open crates containing ready-made vaccines. In addition, these areas offer the strongest weapons. Because of that, there is little reason to visit other locations, except for the merchant, who sells batteries and random weapons.

However (spoiler), the final area of the game is extremely punishing. The enemies are so strong that you can barely kill them unless you have fully automatic weapons and a large supply of ammunition, since they attack in hordes. This leads to my first major complaint: you are forced to conserve ammunition and grenades during the first two-thirds of the game, only to spend almost all of it in the final stages. In practice, this means relying almost entirely on melee weapons for most of the game, which makes the experience repetitive and monotonous.

My second complaint concerns the number of bugs, many of which can ruin a run for absurd reasons. Most of them are related to poorly programmed terrain.

(1) Climbing stairs, ramps, or uphill terrain often feels broken. There is a stage set on a bridge where progression requires climbing stairs, but the game would not let me climb them at first, which made me think the area was inaccessible. In other stages, you must navigate around mountains with poor visibility and uneven terrain, wasting time trying to find the one angle that allows you to move forward. For example, if you fall into a sewage pool, there is only one ramp that lets you climb out. You may end up circling it repeatedly before discovering the specific spot where the game finally allows you to ascend — sometimes dying to zombies in the process. The impression I got is that the game treats each terrain level as its own separate stage, so ramps or stairs trigger some kind of transition. Because of that, you can't shoot or throw grenades at enemies that are way too high up or way too low down. There are stages that are underground laboratories — you go down these long staircases and there's a horde of zombies waiting for you at the bottom, but you can't just toss a grenade at them. You basically have to be suicidal and go in punching/killing them in melee.

(2) The game can also spawn essential items in unreachable locations. Once, a gas can appeared behind a fence at the boundary of the map. Since gasoline is the only way to travel by car, running out forces you to remain in the stage until you find more fuel.

(3) The most annoying bug is invisible enemies. I have died around 15 times because enemies clipped through uneven terrain and became invisible. You cannot see or hit them, yet they can still attack and grab you. Even the giant zombie once became invisible and killed me in a single hit. Ironically, the final stages — which already have the strongest enemies — also feature the most uneven terrain. There is also a variation of this bug involving invisible obstacles. In some areas, such as near military trucks or guardhouses, you are sometimes required to crouch under obstacles. However, invisible walls occasionally appear, blocking passage entirely.

Despite all this, I eventually managed to finish the game with considerable effort. Overall, it feels average. Many of its difficulties are inherent to its mechanics — for example, you will almost always die if poisoned, blown up by mines or fuel tanks, or targeted by automated turrets. The game already presents enough challenge on its own, but the bugs make it far more frustrating than it needs to be.

Very good game - progression, story, difficulty, balance etc. A roguelike with zombies, looting and crafting.

没错，这就是那个最早在FLASH上实现第一人称固定视角打僵尸防守的开发组，而这个游戏也是这个系列第一次以PC形式发布，玩法肉鸽，但玩通关之后我不得不给差评。随机性一般，怪物太强，前期发育缓慢，感染速度太快，地图关卡太多，综合体验下来没有肉鸽lite那种前期困难后期爽快的干练数值和关卡设计，无论按肉鸽lite还是like这游戏设计都显得两边都要又两边都没做好。
总之，个人不推荐多数玩家入手，建议喜欢追求硬核的肉鸽玩家体验挑战自己。

I own Project Zomboid. Unlike that game, this one hits all the spots that game misses. To keep it short and sweet, most zombie games, try to do too much. Their UI or crafting systems are overly complicated, and while some, might enjoy that style of game. I do not. I enjoy my zombie crafters, with simplifed easy to understand recipes with ways I can get do easily enough but not take away from bashing Zombie skulls. This game, hits all the right notes. I just wish it was bigger, with more side-quests or maybe coming across a zombified version of your previous character, so you can reclaim your gear. Would be nice. Buy it on Sale. But would recommend.

Прекраснейший рогалик с метапрогрессией и прокачкой в рейде. Отзывчивое удобное управление, удобная стрельба и бой + норм графений. Чего ещё желать? Бери.

UPD. Ещё немного поиграв выявил ряд проблем. В принципе не критично и удовольствие от такого лутер-рогалика не портит лично мне.
1) Начиная со второго акта кто-то ворует ФПС. Причём на работе с 2060 и i5 всё стабильно, просто фпс падает процентов на 50, а дома с ryzen7 и 5070 есть хорошие фризы.
2) Персонаж не умеет опускать или поднимать оружие. В игре есть высота положения предметов. И это проблема. Если ты выше или ниже зомби хоть на сантиметр - промах. А вы будете на разной высоте с противником постоянно.
3) Тухлое соснольное управление. У нас столько циферных кнопок, но расходники мы будем перещёлкивать одной кнопкой и юзать другой. Причём через время выбранный расходник слетит и надо заново его выбирать. На крайняк давно уже придумали круговое меню. Консоли = плохо.
4) Второй акт халтурно пустой. Огромные пустые пространства без ничего.
5) Зомби спавнятся прямо в тебе. Причём часто. Давно тоже придумана механика спавна за экраном.
6) О и чуть не забыл этот чудо лутинг. Хочешь полутать ящик, но рядом дверь? Перехоти. Светится будет иконка взаимодействия двери. Несколько ящиков стоят рядом, а ты не хочешь выгребать всякую бесполезную тяжёлую шляпу типа палок и труб? Захоти. Пока не обчистишь полностью ящик - другой ящик рядом лутать не сможешь. Сделайте вы подсветку лутабельного ящика или трупа и дайте кнопку для переключения между ящиками, как в zero sievert.

这可能不是我见过的最烂的游戏，但绝对是我30来年游戏生涯中体验过的最烂的游戏。之所以我愿意尝试这个烂作，是因为我在2012年左右玩过这个游戏在facebook上的网页版前作，前作除了画面上不如这一代，剧情更薄弱以外，在玩法方面要比这个游戏好，因为存在基地建设和相对完整的装备体系（如果我没记错的话），并不像这一作，这都是些什么啊？我无法理解这游戏是来自一个相对来说很有经验的制作组。
This may not be the worst game I’ve ever seen, but it’s definitely the worst I’ve experienced in my 30-plus years of gaming. The reason I was willing to give this terrible game a try is that I played its predecessor on Facebook around 2012. Except for the graphics being less advanced and the story being thinner, the gameplay of the previous version was much better than this one. It had base-building and a relatively complete gear system (if I remember correctly)—unlike this installment. What even is this ♥♥♥♥ ? I cannot comprehend such a low-quality game comes from a relatively experienced development team.

I'm a huge fan of the old flash games from back in the day, and I want to say I found it on New Grounds way back then. I didn't even know this game existed - I was looking to see if someone put the original games on here for free or like a buck or something for fun, ended up discovering they made Aftermath as a real game in 2021. This game is a lot of fun, and I recommend playing it. It's also awesome that you can get the bundle that has the old games you can revisit, or play if you never have before. I recommend this game, and especially recommend it if you're an old TLS fan like me. I used to play the hell out of the old games. Just very addicting to me even though they're quite simple.

Геймплей слегка утомителен, но это ладно, в режиме хлебушка могла бы занять игрока.
Но игра просто [b]неудобная[/b]... как будто мало было уделено внимания тому как она управляется.
Часто застреваешь в невидимых коллизиях.
В инвентаре переключается всё не интуитивно.
К прицеливанию во врагов надо привыкнуть, но и то, порой в упор персонаж промахивается.
Иконка с лутом вообще отдельный разговор. Она раздражает тем что появляется ещё вне зоны доступа к лутанию, а ты как привык во всех приличных играх сразу жмёшь кнопку... а нет, подойди поближе. И к этому не очень приятно привыкать. Ну почему нельзя было сделать просто точки или обрамление интерактивных предметов как во всех приличных играх? Более того, эта штука в зданиях ведёт себя жутко бесяче, лутать ты можешь в строго определённом порядке в комнате, а не то что ближе к тебе.
А знаете почему это ещё ужасно? Потому что когда игрок лутается, он в голове выстраивает ментальную карту что он обыскал, а так как эта "ху**я принуждает по своему обыскивать комнату, то ты плохо запоминаешь что ты зачистил. А индикатор зачистки здания будет напоминать что ты где-то что-то пропустил. Точнее не ты, а этот бесячий избирательный алгоритм решил что не будет тебе включать интеракцию с лутом. Это может казаться не бедой в маленьком домике, но когда вам придётся зачистить какой-нибудь торговый центр с десятками лутабельных мест... Сил воевать с геймдизайнерским решением уже не остаётся.
А да, если враг с лутом лёг рядом с дверью, можешь забыть про его лут, ибо приоритет на интеракцию с дверью... 😡
Много ли я сказал о контенте игры? Да почти ничего. Но вот эти микро моменты убивают всё желание дальше её проверять на прочность, потому что я уверен скорее она будет проверять мои нервы в дальнейшей прогрессии и повышением сложности.

プレイ中に、この主人公はもうすぐ死ぬだろうという感覚になります。避けられない死です。
無駄にはなりません。手に入れた情報や物資は生かされます。でも死にます。戦って抗って最期を迎えます。
そんな名も無き戦士の死出の旅。

ストーリーは凝ったものではありませんが、
プレイヤーとキャラの受け取る心情のギャップこそがこの世界を物語っているように感じます。
PA世界を堪能する上では見逃せない要素です。

残念ながら他の方もおっしゃるとおりバグが散見されます。しかもけっこうプレイに迷惑なレベル。

それでもコンセプトは明確でゲームとして良くまとまっていたので、面白かったです。

One plays as a volunteer of a community who is infected by the plague. One travels through many zones stopping along the way to find fuel, supplies, and doses of medicine to continue. Eventually, one reaches the destination where a cure can be developed. Your main character tries the serum and immediately dies. End of game.
But, no. it is not the end. One starts back at the beginning base as a new volunteer tasked with continuing the first volunteer's attempt but with more to go on. So, one travels back through the same 4 or 5 regions, through the same areas to find more of the same, being attacked by mobs of zombies all the way. I stopped most of the way through the second attempt. I don't know how many times one must do this to reach the ending of finding a cure. I might continue later. Really need a controller to play. 65/100

Years and years ago I played the original The Last Stand: Dead Zone. Those were days of good hunting and good sleeping—ancient times of Adobe Flash (the wheel wasn’t invented yet), and plesiosaurs swam in the municipal pool.

I’ve grown up, changed a few jobs, got married, and finally—years later, in the army, fighting Russian zombies in Ukraine—during night duty, I got a chance to play the “new” (well, five-year-old) game.

“Never go back to a place where you have been happy. Until you do, it remains alive to you. If you go back, it is destroyed.”

The original game was about team-building, upgrades, even city management. There were different ways to approach missions: brute force, sneaky picking, hit-and-run tactics. Shooting (bludgeoning, sniping, stabbing) was not the main part of the gameplay. You failed, returned to your base, changed your setup, and tried again.

And those sweet event-related items—both in the inventory and on the base!

Now all of that is gone. There is no base to return to—returning just means the doll dies again and again. That makes no sense in a post-apocalyptic world where every human life should matter.

No item sets. No builds. No terrain or obstacle strategy. No sniping. No resource management. The game is flat and “interesting” like a dried-out armadillo corpse in the middle of nowhere, already hit by a truck.

I honestly don’t understand why the creators of such a fun gameplay system ruined it. They could have simply migrated from Flash to HTML5 and sold both games in parallel.

But no—let’s burn down the Mona Lisa because we have Instagram now.

What a pity.

есть сюжет который постепенно развивается с каждой открытой новой зоной эта игра для тех кто любит зомби + лутинг + различные крафты + изучение новых рецептов, принципе игра хорошая, может вначале на часов 15-20 затянуть, но потом если ты дальше не можешь по сюжету пройти часто умираешь и начинаешь заново с первых локаций может надоесть, а так игра хороша

Очень душно вы не представляете,особенно последняя локация если бы чуть меньше сложностей было бы рандомной турели или огонька в кустарнике я бы оценил это в положительную сторону , в целом все идет к тому что нужно собирать канистры и ебашить дальше поислледовать територии времени не много если сывороток нету так что вот так вот,цена хорошая из плюсов

I liked this game at first then the more I played the more unfun it became due to numerous bugs and unfun features that make no sense

BUGS ENCOUNTERED SO FAR
I've died from invisble unkillable zombies at the very end of the game too
There is unreachable places to where you cant get the gas cans in order to progress killing a run
Your Character will get stuck with no way out
Zombies falling through the map and attacking you from under the map
Oh and Dont Expect a patch for these anytime soon last update was in 2022! as of writing this review in january 2026

You can't carry more than one antiviral for some reason
If you find another gas can and your tank is already full you can't just put in your car so you leave it behind which is dumb and makes no sense in a real scenario
game actually has some of the worst button mapping to access certain things in your inventory quickly (from using mouse and keyboard)
Unskippable diaglog when you've played a certain part over and over they won't let you complete skip it you have to listen through it all again which is a slight inconvience
mediocre sluggish melee combat
and one of the worst things is you can't aim down on zombies or hit them that are slightly downwards from a slope from you or slightly up sometimes

I bought this game on a sale for a pretty decent price but the fact the base price is 32.50 for something left to rot with no updates and no simple bug fixes is silly which makes me believe this game was rushed out and left within a year just for that easy quick buck.

This game had been sitting in my wishlist for years and i finally bought it one day. I did not know what I was missing. This game is a roguelike that encourages you to not worry about saving stuff for future runs. You loot what you can and use it because death is coming and there is no escaping. Your infection is always going up, it can't ever go down, antivirals can only stop it temporarily. So if the zombies don't kill you, infection will. It adds a sense of urgency that's not overbearing. It's also a very good game to put on a podcast to since there aren't a lot of sound queues you need to look out for and a typical run will usually last around an hour if you know what you're doing.

My only real complaint is that the game never tells you that crafting recipes can be found just from combining stuff at a crafting station. Seeing that some unlocks consisted of crafting recipes made me think i had to find them. But no, just slap two things together at a bench. That's really more of a nitpick if anything though. Game's good, give it a try.

If you played The Last Stand: Dead Zone on Facebook and hated when servers closed; this is the official sequel to the game. True to its premise, the game delivers what promised.

Even though there´s not the customization options of Dead Zone, you can not let this one pass.

J’avais des étoiles plein les yeux…
 Un roguelite action avec des zombies, une ambiance sombre, du loot, de la survie… sur le papier, tout était réuni pour passer un excellent moment. Et pourtant, après plus de trois heures de jeu, j’ai surtout eu l’impression de servir de cobaye à un simulateur de morts arbitraires.

Première vraie run : one-shot par un piège invisible. Le jeu semble partir du principe que je possède une vision d’aigle sous amphétamines. Deuxième run : après de longues minutes à progresser avec précaution, mon personnage se retrouve coincé dans le décor et un zombie vient m’éventrer pendant que je contemple, impuissant, l’absurdité de la situation. Troisième run : je fouille tout, j’avance lentement, méthodiquement… pour mourir faute d’une batterie, batterie qui m’aurait permis d’obtenir un sérum. Quatrième run : encore ce foutu piège invisible. À ce stade, je commence sérieusement à me demander si le véritable ennemi du jeu, ce n’est pas le sol lui-même.

Mourir fait partie du roguelite ; mourir sans comprendre ni pouvoir réagir, beaucoup moins. Ici, la frustration prend systématiquement le pas sur le plaisir, et l’apprentissage laisse place à un hasard punitif. Je passe mon tour avec une grosse déception, car sur le papier, ce jeu cochait toutes les bonnes cases.

An action roguelite with zombies, a dark atmosphere, loot, survival mechanics… on paper, everything was there for a great time. And yet, after more than three hours of playtime, I mostly felt like a guinea pig in a simulator of arbitrary deaths.

First real run: one-shot by an invisible trap. The game seems to assume I have eagle vision on amphetamines. Second run: after long minutes of cautious progression, my character gets stuck in the environment, and a zombie disembowels me while I helplessly contemplate the absurdity of the situation. Third run: I search everything, move slowly and methodically… only to die because I’m missing a battery — a battery that would have allowed me to obtain a serum. Fourth run: that same damn invisible trap again. At this point, I start seriously wondering if the true enemy of the game isn’t the floor itself.

Dying is part of the roguelite genre; dying without understanding why or being able to react is another story. Here, frustration consistently outweighs enjoyment, and learning gives way to punishing randomness. I’m passing on this one with deep disappointment, because on paper, this game checked all the right boxes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (minus one star because I died to my own optimism)

The Last Stand: Aftermath is the kind of zombie game that looks at you dead in the eyes and says, “You will die. A lot. Please stop getting attached.” And honestly? I respect that.

You play as a survivor who is already infected, which is a bold narrative choice that translates to: every run is a countdown until your character coughs politely and then collapses into a pile of regrets. The game is roguelite, meaning progression is permanent, but your survivor is extremely temporary—like a mayfly with a backpack and a shotgun.

Combat feels solid and crunchy. Smacking zombies with a crowbar is satisfying in a “this will absolutely not save me in the long run” kind of way. Guns feel good, ammo feels rare, and every decision feels important—especially the ones you immediately realize were very stupid (opening that door, firing that shot, trusting that hallway).

The atmosphere is bleak but stylish, like the apocalypse hired a really good art director. Between runs, you upgrade your base and unlock perks, slowly transforming your survivors from “panicked civilian” into “panicked civilian with slightly better aim.”

The real star of the game, though, is failure. You will fail. Repeatedly. Often because you got greedy. Or curious. Or because a zombie came out of a bush and reminded you that joy is temporary.

Pros:

Satisfying combat

Great atmosphere

Strong “just one more run” energy

Cons:

Emotional attachment to survivors is a mistake

Zombies do not respect personal space

Game constantly humbles you

Final verdict:
The Last Stand: Aftermath is brutal, stylish, and weirdly motivating. It’s less about surviving the apocalypse and more about surviving long enough to die slightly better next time. 10/10 would get infected again. 🧟‍♂️💀

Started on and off with this game; beginning felt like I had no clue what the hell to do, then just died died died again; got pretty annoying and I quit the game for a while.

Once I got the hang of it (and a really lucky streak of finding antivirals at the right time), it was much more fun

Aiming sucks on controller (and can't change the key bindings), but movement sucks on keyboard
