Just a very beautiful (visually & musically) minimalist survival game. I'm not sure I see the appeal of endless mode, but the campaign is a great experience (albeit relatively short). If you're on the fence about survival games, this might be a good introductory point. The crafting system is relatively free of bloat (a common complaint I have with this genre). Everything has a clear use and the game is pretty transparent about where you might acquire ingredients.

There are relatively few unique encounters/hazards, so I'm not sure the replayability is all that strong, but as I look at the store page it's currently $2.24, so you'll still get some bang for your buck.

There are unfortunately some significant, noticeable bugs. Seems that whenever you move with your quick inventory open, movement gets stuck (which is particularly detrimental given that it usually happens when you're being chased by a bear or wolves). I played on mouse and keyboard and it was frustrating; maybe you'll have better luck with a gamepad.

The flame in the flood es un juego que por mucho tiempo estuvo juntando polvo en mi biblioteca de steam, creo recordar obtenerlo por una clave de producto. Nunca me llamó especialmente la atención, pero últimamente me dedico a sacar el 100% de los logros en gran parte de los juegos de mi biblioteca y en mi experiencia recomiendo que ni siquiera lo intenten, el juego tiene muchos logros bugueados aparte del mismo juego en si, es divertido una vez que entiendes como funciona la superviviencia, pero es un juego que debería ser disfrutado de manera pasajera.

Comencé a jugar. Llegué a la primera zona, encendí una fogata. Fabricé vendas por si sufría alguna herida — nunca se sabe qué criaturas habitan estos lugares. Vi conejos y construí una trampa para capturarlos y así evitar morir de hambre. Los conejos desaparecieron de repente. Cerca corría un jabalí, pero ya no quedaban recursos para hacer una trampa adecuada, pues los había gastado todos en la de los conejos. Apenas logré escapar (o más bien arrastrarme) con múltiples heridas graves. Me vendé las heridas y las cosas empezaron a mejorar. Entonces comenzó a llover intensamente y no había dónde refugiarse. Me empapé por completo y caí enfermo. Como había gastado todos los recursos en la trampa y las vendas, no pude preparar un medicamento. Finalmente morí de un resfriado tras haber sobrevivido al encuentro con el jabalí… Fin.

Es un juego muy interesante: gráficos cartoon atractivos, controles sencillos y un sistema de fabricación intuitivo. Sin embargo, no perdona ningún error. Preparas un objeto y, de pronto, surge una situación completamente distinta para la que ya no tienes el recurso necesario a mano. Uno termina sintiéndose un completo inútil. Lamentablemente, no hay sistema de guardado y resulta imposible regresar a ubicaciones anteriores, ya que la corriente del río arrastra la balsa hacia adelante sin permitir volver atrás.

É difícil ser imparcial com um jogo tão impactante para mim. Foi meu primeiro jogo indie da vida lá no Xbox 0ne por volta de 1 década atrás. Esse foi um dos jogos que despertou meu gosto natural do estilo de sobrevivência, seja economizar e racionalizar recursos, ou sobreviver de situações penosas com suas estratégias e noções. Pra mim a trilha sonora desse game é fenomemal, uma das únicas de jogo que eu digo que ouço frequentemente.
Mas eu infelizmente não posso fazer vista grossa para alguns pontos da progressão do game... Pra mim o Hud é intragável, bem irritante de navegar e a forma que a aba de roupas é construída é desnecessariamente cheia. Inúmeros itens server com apenas um único propósito (Como anzol e linha quer servem apenas para construir kits de costura, ou carvão que serve apenas pra fazer filtros, ou mofo que serve apenas pra penicilina), isso quando os itens sequer tem propósito (Como o peixe estragado que até hoje tô me perguntando pq fiquei carregando ele). O sistema do arco e flecha é simplesmente horrível e fazer uma flecha acertar depende 50% de sorte mesmo se o alvo esteja bem centralizado. A tocha esgotar e você só conseguir equipar a outra pelo inventário e ter que jogar a tocha apagada toda vez, por mais que uma mecânica coerente, ainda sinto que é meio mal implementada.
Depois de algumas horas de gameplay fica inerente fazer os cálculos de quantos espaços vagos tem na jangada e quantos itens você realmente deveria levar, por que sinceramente a quantidade de recursos, ao menos no modo história, é muito grande mesmo, não vai passar necessidade nunca quando você entender o que move cada um dos crafts.
Se você quer uma experiência curta mas intensa, que pune seus erros e que te faz racionalizar e entender os recursos do game, é um jogo muito bom pra isso, mas certamente tem suas falhas.
Mesmo passando longe de ser perfeito é um joguinho que sempre terá um lugar no meu coração, tanto a gameplay quanto as ótimas músicas

This is one of my favorite games of all time. The art, the ambiance, the music, & the gameplay are all really well done. I hadn't played it in a few years and just recently completed another campaign mode. It's a little buggier than it used to be, but overall still a great experience. I tell people about this game all the time and can't recommend it enough if you're into indie survival games.

O joguinho é muito bom e bem diferente dos que já vi, mesmo pra época. Achei uma dificuldade OK até. A história é interessante, tem todo esse ar bem misterioso. A gameplay é bem simples. A arte do jogo acho que é o ponto alto, por mais que tenha esse estilo low poly, é charmoso. Música é outro ponto alto do jogo, muito bem feita.

No soy mucho de juegos de supervivencia extrema y donde todo te mata o esta todo en tu contra. Pero este juego tiene el equilibrio justo. Tiene excelente música que equilibra el peligro y lo tranquilo de la situación de la historia. En temas de gameplay, los items para craftear son accesibles, no son excesivamente escasos (pero igual hay opciones de dificultad para los que buscan mas desafío). La historia es simple, pero como dicen el viaje es lo que importa, me gusta mucho la sección de viajar de isla en isla para conseguir recursos y conocer que pasa en la historia.

Lo siento lo intente durante muchas horas pero no encajo con el juego, es una pesadilla para mi gusto, no encuentro agradable estar saltando de una isla a otra sin parar y recolectar para estar manteniendo a mi personaje vivo, seguro que es un buen juego pero no esta echo para mi y mis gustos, no lo puedo recomendar si no eres de esas personas que le gustan ir saltando de un sitio para otro explorar y descender en barca, odio la parte de el barco el manejo es muy pobre.
Se me olvido mencionar su arte y la música son de lo mejor del juego gracias por darnos esta satisfacción.

I met dingo back in 2018 when I started streaming this game, shoutout to how awesome he is just popping out of the blue and telling me to go get my character killed lmao

overall this game is really cool, the problem is that you have to stop and go, it kinda ruins the immersion and progression at the same time, I know i'm reviewing this almost 10 years after I originally played but I still wouldn't take this game lightly. It has unique and gorgeous graphics, didn't encounter any bugs or issues and I had a blast just spot hopping for scraps and resources.

It's pretty easy to pick up and play and the survival mechanics aren't too heavy on your like the other games do. but again, it's pretty straightforward, you're on a raft and you have to do pit stops to gather resources in order to upgrade your gear and your raft. Just think of raft but you're in a downflowing river and that your expansion options for your raft is incredibly minimal.

It's still is really fun

art style and direction are cool. sound track is VERY good and atmospheric.
all in all, game is fun, but suffers of 2 main problems:
1 - lots of bugs and glitches (ex. if you are walking and press ESC, when you unpress, you get stuck and cant move)
2 - unbalanced runs. yes, its a roguelike, but its very badly implemented. you can have godlike runs, where all good stuff drops or you can have hellscape run where you hardly get basic stuff.

still, its fun for a small timeframe. 6/10

It was a very atmospheric game, but also quite challenging, so I had to cheat a little. Survival is hard enough, the constantly breaking boat is just too much. The best thing about the whole game is the music, love it and have been listening to it for ten years.

Great atmosphere but repetitive in an annoying manner. The gameplay loop of having to re-do everything ends up being frustrating and boring instead of challenging and engaging.

Another example of style over substance which really bothers me because I really do enjoy the atmosphere, the soundtrack especially so.

Неоднозначна ця гра.. І ставити "не рекомендую" було не красиво, але і рекомендувати я б її не став. Шкода, що не має якоїсь "нейтральної" оцінки.
Зі сторони гра виглядає цікаво, особливо стилістично і ідейно, але сама по собі гра не реіграбильна. Це ніби задумувався такий собі лінійний виживач з сюжетом, але чомусь, сюжету не завезло зовсім, тому на виході у нас залишився тільки лінійний виживач, в якому по більшій мірі все залежить від рандому, крафти лінійні і їх мало. Після часу гри, геймплей тупо перетворюється на боротьбу з холодом, де ти плаваєш і шукає можливість зробити одяг по краще. І це все в ситуації, коли з ворогами ти майже нічого зробити не можеж фізично, тому бачиш вовків - в 90% випадків цю локацію ти вже ніяк не залутаєш - пливи далі. От такий геймплей.
Крім кривуватого геймплею, хоч грі вже більше 9 років, тут купа мілких проблем, по типу візуальних багів з гравцем, інколи не зручного керування та проблем із текстом і перекладом. Не знаю що там з розробниками, але гра виглядає абсолютно покинутою і не доробленою.
Але все ж таки стиль графіки приємний, прикольно реалізовані потреби персонажа та всякі хвороби і рани... Пограти кілька годин, пройшовши разок "сюжет", можна. Але більше в цій грі робити не має чого, на жаль.

Simulador de morte, não recomendo este jogo, muito chato e difícil a jogabilidade, não tem como você lutar contra os bichos e pra salvar tem que adivinhar onde é o ponto de checkpoint. Horrível nenhum um pouco divertido!

Love the graphics, music and idea. But games where you are always expected to die pretend that failure is part of the fun. Try running away from a bear when to shot a bow or drop a piece of tainted meat you have to stand still. I died...again. But that was always the point.

Self-aggrandizing devs with a rather simplistic dialogue tree with npcs. Very easy to game the AI as going to sleep will cause bears to permanently not react to you. You can retrieve your tainted bait while the wolves eat it causing you not to use it up. I got to day 68 on endless and this buggy game caused me to be below the river and reloading the save didn't remedy the situation, what a waste of time.

Ce jeu est une énorme punition. Il y a une infinité de dangers à gérer et rien pour se défendre (en tout cas au début). Attaques de loups, de sangliers, ou même piqûres de fourmis. Si elles ne sont pas soignées, les blessures s'infectent. Il faut en plus gérer la faim, la soif, le froid, la fatigue, ou encore les réparations du radeau si celui-ci est endommagé.
Et bien sûr les ressources sont rares, sinon ça serait trop facile!

I really enjoyed this one! It hits all my soft spots: a strong sense of place, great soundtrack, distinctive art style, survivalcraft mechanics, weird and unique gameplay pitch, a decent challenge, and progression - all tied together with a light overarching narrative. The pitch itself is this: some sort of watery apocalypse has struck, and in your quest for a safe haven you alternate between steering your ramshackle craft down the treacherous course of a roaring river and jumping ashore to scavenge for supplies, seek shelter, and punch wolves. It's a fairly compact and contained game without too much complexity, and despite posing a challenge it manages to feel fair. Despite slightly wonky controls and infrequent bugs I had a grand time fighting the currents on my raft. Recommended.

一人、一狗的无尽海上漂流之旅，精美的美术及建模，极其优秀的音乐及游戏场景氛围设计；
缺点也有很多，糟糕的汉化翻译（最后一关甚至有个开发者语音都听不了）、动物被卡住的恶心BUG、手感糟糕的交互、资源分配的不平衡，以及不弹成就的BUG。
最后我还是推荐这款游戏，一路上，这一人一狗经历了的狂风暴雨、见证过光芒万丈的旭日、曾步履蹒跚的躲避野狼的冲撞，也曾小心翼翼的经过巨熊的巢穴，有第一次捕获兔子的喜悦，也有湍急汹涌的河流中船毁人亡的无奈；最后的最后，在经历了那长达两分钟的海上音乐漂流后，等待着斯科特和伊戈的，就像开发者所说，是陪伴，“告诉我们......旅行者，外面的世界是怎么样？”

只玩故事模式的话其实算是还挺好玩的生存游戏，玩无尽模式真有点儿折磨了……试图做全成就但到现在都没做完
一开始的话稍微有点儿难上手，熟悉了之后就很熟练地漂流和搜刮物资了
美术风格和音乐其实都挺不错的，就是玩法有点儿单调吧，另一种意义上也确实蛮孤独漂流哦……但是狗很好！（设置页面还能把狗静音害我笑一下……）不过原来按快捷键没用不是我的问题啊？

Great idea, decent execution, but bugs GALORE.

I'd recommend getting it on sale because of the buggy state it's in. That said, I've enjoyed my time with it. Even when it glitched into the middle of an island and exploded my boat forcing Scout to drown. 2 miles away from the 100 mile mark. :)
