Really enjoyable tycoon game that doesn't fall into the trap of overcomplication to the point of boredom. This and Game Dev Tycoon are great in that regard, and the upcoming AnimeBiz Tycoon has massive potential for fans of this genre like I am.

Meh. Basically Game Dev Tycoon with a fresh coat of paint… and a lot less content.

I must have sunk around 100 hours into Game Dev Tycoon. Here, after about 5 hours, the gameplay loop already feels exhausted. It’s not a bad game by any means, but it’s extremely repetitive, moves way too fast, and doesn’t offer enough side content to really keep you hooked.

You make a movie, analyze it, rinse and repeat — and that’s pretty much the whole experience.

On top of that, the game is far too generous. Money and research points rain from the sky, so you unlock everything way too quickly, which kills any sense of progression.

Joa ok, die Idee ist ganz gut. Dein eigenes Filmstudio und los geht´s. Grafik ist vollkommen ok für das Game. Das Menü ist übersichtlich und man findet sehr gut in das Spiel rein. Jedoch hat das Game keine Langzeitmotivation. Nach 15 Stunden ist man schon am Ende. Dann zurück ins Hauptmenü oder das Game in der Endlosschleife spielen..... aber man macht immer das gleiche und das ist nicht wirklich viel. Schade eigentlich , es wäre deutlich mehr Potenzial da gewesen.

Go play Game Dev Tycoon instead - even though its not about movies its fundamentally better. This game falls flat and feels only like bad RNG for if your movies succeed. Plus support for the game has disappeared (8 months since last update of any kind).
It's worth MAYBE $4.99, not $14.99
