The Enchanted Cave 2 is an RPG/roguelike with a heavy focus on risk vs. reward. Strategically choosing your battles, building your character, enchanting your equipment and knowing when to escape the cave are crucial to succeed.
in a small town, there exists a cave full of seemingly infinite treasure; this attracts many an adventurer to plunder its riches, but what they don't know until it's two late is that almost all the treasure is destroyed upon exiting the cave. No one knows where it goes, but it is probably redistributed throughout the cave for the next unfortunate soul to find. Another unknown thing found out too late is that you cannot exit the cave without the Escape Wings, and are stuck until you die or find these wings. Plus, you may find someone's journal entries; if you've got the eye for finding secrets... So, do you dare enter the cave; young traveler? Or will you play it safe and not delve where man does not belong?

The story was great, the gameplay was amazing, but the soundtrack? My favourite part.
If you've played the flash version in the mid 2010's, this is an even fuller version of the game. If you also recall the insane achievement on ArmorGames, this will be a lot harder. It scratches the itch for sure. I come back to this game every couple years...absolutely love its simplicity. So much strategy, and there are so many ways to be more efficient as you learn the mechanics better.

the beginning of the game is really fun and reminds me a lot of the original flash game which i adore, however once you get past a certain point you start to kind of fall into a loop
it all just gets repetitive, like youre doing an office job

thats all this game is at its core really, organising stuff wrapped in a cliche anime-esque rpg bow
granted the og had this problem too but at least that was a free game and way smaller in scope

I love this game. The premise was already interesting and exciting in the first game, but this second one improved on just about everything it could. I can't count the times I've played it and it is still charming, and even after ten years or so it still keeps giving. The optional quest modes are tough as nails, so they kept me occupied for ages, and there is just something so cinematic about going toe to jaw with a demon so enormous it literally cannot fit on your screen. I am currently replaying story mode because I missed it. Highly recommend.
I played this game back on Kongregate years ago and enjoyed it. I enjoy it now still.

This is a game I used to love way back when Flash was still a thing, and when I saw it here I couldn't stop myself from buying the game. It is definitely a fun game, but really it's nothing more, the story is there I guess, the gameplay is fun but nothing to write home about and after completing the game it gets a bit too stale. Also, the extra challenges are a bit too much of a difficulty spike in my opinion. Nothing spectacular, but good enough for a nostalgia trip
Recently got back into this game to get 100%.
This game is amazing, I was hooked after endless hours grinding the original Enchanted Cave on Kongregate, way back in the day.
If you enjoy a bit of dungeon crawling and learning fun little enchantment/crafting systems with a roguelite aspect, this is a must-have game in your library.
Want to set yourself a challenge and try something that makes the crawling experience even more intricate and makes you focus on every step of the journey? Go for the "Hardcore Caver" achievement! It adds a ton of insight and learning curve as to how you can optimally build and strategize your setup for each floor.

You can say I write this review because I'm salty, because on Floor 100 for some reason none of my spells worked when I most needed it. And because of that I lost 30 floors of progress.

贪婪洞窟的爹，想怀旧但是不想回去玩贪婪洞窟的可以等打折试试，没玩过贪婪洞窟就不推荐了，就是非常简单粗暴的刷刷刷，不过相对来说装备和附魔道具可以通过技能随便点金卖钱这点很爽，前中期局内只要不作死很快就能看到成长，后期和其他纯纯折磨自己的模式就很无聊了

played this game in a browser in secret in high school... i'm so fond of dungeon crawlers and it satisfies my want for the stardew valley mines to go on forever ... feels almost nostalgic playing and it's easy to get caught up in for a long time :)

ok, i enjoyed the game.
it is a relatively simple dungeon crawler. when you make it to the bottom, you can choose a harder mode, that starts you back at the top (essentially just continuing your journey deeper)
i think it was worth the price. probably borderline, so, maybe buy it on sale...
i come back to it now and again to start over, and its just as fun each time, so, i guess replay ability is ok.
i think torchlight 1 and 2 are better, but they had a much bigger budget.
a run to the bottom probably takes 8 - 15 hours i guess.
please update the game or make a 3rd

I used to play this as a kid years back and decided to get it on steam now and play it again still as fun as i remembered with all the weapon collecting and the one run challenge it is a really fun game if you just want to relax and play.

would be better with more QOL such as teleporting to stairs you already have access to, or skipping battles where you take 0 damage, or just being faster in general, but even then the game gets REALLY slow and repetitive after the first playthrough, NG+ is just leaving and re-entering battles hoping for an instakill (which for some reason can only proc on the first hit), challenge modes outside of story are shortened to 50 levels instead of 100, labyrinth and monster's lair force you into either fighting more monsters or pickaxing around them but gameplan's about the same, green goo restricts your equipment to helm and weapon and gives some stat boosts to everything to compensate, just needs a bit more grinding for potions than other modes, the final boss is always grinding for a lotta potions then spamming them until you eventually win since they're just a big damage sponge, outside of lore you're not missing out on much by playing the free version.

This is really one of those gams I wish there was a mixed or just `informative` review for.
This game isn't really bad, but it is completely flat. There is very little mechanical complexity and I haven't felt challenged at any point. I haven't finished it and maybe it gets "harder" once you get to the point where there is nothing left to level in the skill tree and you want to make it to the 100th floor but even if that is true the mechanics would be the same and there just isn't much meat on that bone.
I picked it up super cheap and I don't think it is a waste of a few bucks but you should know what you're getting in to. It makes sense given its origin as a 2010 flash game but in the current landscape it is a curiosity at best unless it is a nostalgia hit for you.

A really fun dungeon crawling game with a simple story, very reminiscent of the old pc adventure games. If you have a soft spot for the old times, this game is a treat!

I always return to this game. It's a simple experience overall, but that simplicity is polished to perfection. Also, getting loot makes my magpie brain happy.
My one critique is that I don't think there's a viable way of beating new game+ other than grinding out +1 stat points. I tried to restart the game and go for enchanting buffs first, then use the most powerful enchant items that way, but I was still outdamaged by the monsters. The new game modes in the Steam release are also not really interesting in my opinion.
But overall I love this game a lot and I'd recommend it. It's a good game to chill with on an autumn evening while listening to podcasts.
i used to play this game on the school computers back in the day i kinda forgot about it but when i saw it on the steamstore i instantly remembered how much fun i used to have with this game and Im proud to say its just as good as i remember

I absolutely love this game. I played the Flash version on Kongregate and then just recently bought it on Steam after Flash went down. Took me about 40 hours to get all of the achievements, with the museum Completionist being the last one to achieve. I love how many different skill options and combat styles there are, such as going the pure attack/critical/defense route, or using elemental spells based on enemy weaknesses. I've beaten the game/challenge modes with both styles, and with a good strategy, both are equally powerful.
The only issue is that I wish the equipment, or at least the enchantments, in Newgame+ modes were stronger. At higher levels, it seems more of a game of luck, requiring dodge/instant kill and chugging potions to survive the insanely high attack of the monsters. But it's just an optional endgame mode anyways, so it's not too critical.

TEC2 é um dungeon crawler tab-target, sendo um jogo bem simples, mas cativante o suficiente pra te fazer perder umas boas horas. O jogo possui uma dificuldade considerável e algumas conquistas desafiadoras pra incentivar a rejogabilidade, mas não por muito tempo já que o jogo se sustenta excessivamente no grind, que é o único ponto negativo que vejo nele. Os desafios alternativos são divertidos e possuem um grau de dificuldade maior caso tenha achado o jogo base muito fácil. Não é um jogo que se destaca em suas mecânicas, mas tem seu valor pros amantes do gênero.

Sin embargo, aquí tenemos la opción de salir de la cueva encantada, con el costo de perder los items que hemos recolectado (El Oro y la XP se conservan) salvo los especiales o raros, que se distinguen por un marco dorado, lo que te prepara más para tu siguiente descenso, de hecho el juego te motiva a dar más de una vuelta, para repasar las cavernas en busca de más items útiles.
Variedad de Items, sistema de encantar o transmutar tu equipo, así como el uso de hechizos, puedes diseñar tu propio tipo de pelea.
A mediano o largo plazo el juego se puede hacer repetitivo, sin embargo es tan sencillo, es tan calmado que puedes tomarte tu tiempo y la verdad es bastante disfrutable e incluso podría decir que relajante.

I've played with the first episode around 15 years ago in flash. I didn't really remember it until deja vu hit me hard. I won't remember the second episode either. It might have started a subgenre, but at this moment it is just a very generic and extremely easy (therefore boring) rougelite dungeon crawler. If you know what you do there is no challenge. If you don't you'll fail and lose half an hour of progress. Years passed and you can play literally hundreds of better iterations of the same game for the same price.
Simple and charming, 100% worth it.
A pretty fun game to play through while relaxing and listening to some youtube videos. My overall experience with it was great, though after several playthroughs as well as several new game+, it became clear that the Late Game wasn't thought out too well with levels being much harder to grind, gold being less valuable compared to stat points, and the stat points themselves being too sparce to make them worth going for later on.
If stat points would instead allow you to increase your stats at a percentage wise, for example +1% attack, it would allow a gradual increase in stats which then would allow for easier new game+ playthroughs (as later on you are one hit by pretty much anything unless you're lucky and keep dodging.)
still a pretty fun 100% playthrough!

Really fun and addicting game! I like everything new about the extra content given on the steam version, the only thing I kind of see as a drawback is the fact most of the new monsters are just a recolored sprite of the original ones and the new gamemodes felt way too grindy at times (especially The Goo's Quest one where I wish there would be just one extra armor slot to make it less repetitive) Overall I'd give this game an 8/10 :)

I like this one a lot, though the end game stuff seems more grindy than I'd prefer I can't deny how good this game is. Plusses are: you don't get swarmed by enemies. They sort of just sit there on the tile until you interact with them. So you can strategize and work around how not to die or flee and escape the dungeon. Most of the stuff you pick up you cannot keep within a run of the dungeon. Unless it's "golden" colored, it vanishes when you leave. However as a mage you can just for 25 mana transmute any white item into a golden one and easily keep it. Floors are randomly generated and since it's pixel graphics game, zero lag, loading screens or sluggish gameplay. Very smooth feeling and easy to navigate/understand. Will be playing more for sure.

游戏80层过后，怪物数值有点膨胀了。建议多屯点魔法稿，直接找出口。
