en vr, c'est une consécration ! je l'ai acheté 5 fois en tout depuis sa sortie en 2011. En VR et avec les mods qui améliorent grandement l'expérience (textures, quêtes supplémentaires (beyond skyrim) , il s'impose comme un rpg incontournable. bref un must have !

Great game ! if you like a world without color. Bathesda has a habit of making their games Grey. Grey and more grey, even the grass is technically green, and half gray. Fallout is the same, but with greyish green.
But with mods, ( Imaginator ) fixed all of that ! Super, Super light weight, Saturation restored with 2 clicks of a button.

That being said. this game is STILL, STILL, STILL, STILLLLLLLLLL 8000YEN, 69 $ after 20 years.
Therefore I can not recommend it.

if you find it on sale for 10 bucks, I DO RECOMMEND IT. good luck waiting a year though.

I remember Bethesdas first DLC, Paid content. Horse armor for oblivion.
DLC would be ok if the content was made AFTER the game was released, you know... the devs put a little extra time in, to add content.
but the horse armor was ON THE DVD i PUCHRASED. they simply locked content on a DVD i PAID for.
to force me to pay again, for the same content on a dvd i already purchased.

It was at that day. decades ago, that I refused to give bethesda full price again. I can easily wait a year for the game to go on sale for 20 bucks.

lets just say "I borrowed my friends dvd" for a year, because he got bored. and I returned the "dvd" to him once he sailed away on his ship to the 7 seas and the game was on sale for 20 bucks.

there is only 1 reason I hate Valve.
I love valve. its the only online site I purchase games from.
but there is one reason i dispise valve.
even after 30 years, they still charge full price for FAR too many games.

there should be a law that says a game must decrease in price by 10 percent every single year for 6 years. then cap at 40% price.

We shouldnt be paying 60 bucks for super mario brothers 1.

I do remember the first time I stood on that mountain in VR, watching the snow fall all around me.
I literally stood in awe, surrounded by real life snow. I was in another world.
an hour later I took off my headset and though "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... I was in my bedroom all this time".

but for the price tag. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS GAME.
if its on say for 20 bucks, GET IT A.S.A.P.

lol you have to install mods just to edit basic setting like forced comfort settings otherwise every time you jump or look around using your analog stick the headset black out your peripherals like your looking through paper towel tubes. todd you are a monkey. goes from legend to actual plague in the gaming community. good thing xbox likes you cause the customers sure dont.

ugly, like visibly ugly, i love skyrim's graphics and this is just ass, with no interactivity with the world like picking up items with your hands in the vanilla game. feels slapped together, i'd have more to say about it but having played only 20 minutes of it i don't want to lose the possibility of a refund. it also doesn't have built in mod support. thanks todd!

I haven't touch Skyrim since it's launch on PS3, with the Dawnguard and Hearthfire DLCs. VR is, by far, the best way to experience Tamriel (with a good mod list, and the dedication to hours upon hours of troubleshooting and debugging)! The gameplay loop is just as addictive as I remember it, and now with an added level of immersion that is difficult to put into words. Traveling roads is a much more casual and enjoyable experience. I've found myself to be taking in the beauty of Skyrim far more frequently than when I played on PS3, especially the night skies and landscapes.

You truly get the feeling of *being* the Dragonborn. Mastering combat on a controller is one thing, but mastering combat through your own physical movement is so much more empowering.

Unmodified, Bethesda left much to be desired. Overall visuals weren't adapted well for a VR interface, primarily low texture resolutions and very shallow depth of field. No additional physics were applied beyond the flat screen version, removing much of the interactive immersion you would expect with VR. And minimal effort was put into adapting the combat controls to VR wands. Good thing you can mod it, and pretty much all of these issues can be resolved through mods!

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, AE content is not available or supported in VR. There is a dedicated TESV:SVR mod community, which have done an amazing job of providing assets and overhauls that make this game what it should have been upon release. There are also some mods/patches that allow for *some* SE mods to work with VR.

Also, if you're going down the modding rabbit hole, especially for graphic improvements, you will need a relatively modern (RTX) graphics card, and at least 32GB RAM. For reference, I'm running a PSVR2 with a PCVR adapter on an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, Asus Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050, and 98GB of DDR4 3200Mhz RAM. I'm running approximately 500 mods, many with 2K, 4k, and 8K textures, including parallax, LOD, lighting and shader overhauls, added voice packs, etc. Running Skyrim VR takes approximately 30GB for my mod list. You can easily bloat this game up, especially with some of the mod lists that are in the thousands.

Got this on offer for £12, spent about 3 hours reading instructions for the FUS Mods pack, prepping my PC, installing the mods, figuring out how to run the game, get myself dressed and then start the Game.

Quite frustrating to get everything running, requires time and effort.

But after that it is quite simply the very best VR games I have played; really looking forward to playing.

The image quality is really bad. I couldn't get Community Shaders to work despite installing all the requirements, ensuring everything is enabled, and running the game through the Skyrim VR Script Extender. The shaders simply do not compile, and pressing the End key does not bring up any menu.

Mods aside, this game is extremely buggy, blurry, and low quality by itself. A lot of mods cause crashes on startup; it's quite unstable compared to Skyrim SE.

If I can't upgrade the graphics with Community Shaders and the gameplay with all the VR mods, then there is no point in this.

My experience with VR in general has been bad. VR seems like a giant scam. The quality sucks. The gameplay sucks. The mods don't work much of the time.

Maybe you could get Community Shaders and other mods to work for it. Good for you. I followed the instructions perfectly, installed all the requirements, ensured everything was enabled, and Community Shaders just isn't working.

I will sell my VR headset and come back in 10–20 years (assuming I have not died), when maybe VR will have made some advances. But right now, it is garbage.

Let's be real. Ever since Michael Kirkbride left Bethesda, The Elder Scrolls has gone down the toilet after Oblivion. Without mods, Skyrim SE sucks. And even with mods, the lore, mythology, storyline, and aesthetics all still suck compared to previous Elder Scrolls titles like Oblivion and Morrowind. Ever since Michael Kirkbride left, the series has gone down the toilet, and playing Skyrim VR without any mods reminded me just how bad the base game is without mods.

At least with Skyrim SE, you can mask the badness of the base game with overhaul mods. You can't mask this abomination because the overhaul mods largely don't work for it. Maybe you could get Community Shaders to work for it. Good for you. I followed the instructions exactly, installed and enabled all the requirements, and it simply doesn't work.

Garbage. Pure and total garbage. Hopefully, I will soon get a refund.

Ich liebe Skyrim!! So viele Jahre spiele ich es schon und ich habe immer noch nicht alles entdeckt. Ich hätte es nicht gedacht und es fällt mir schwer hier eine negative Rezension zu geben. Für mich ist die VR Version leider nicht spielbar. Ich spiele mit der Valve Index.

Es ist ein Glückspiel im Spiel ins Inventar oder generell ins Menü zu kommen. Und noch schwieriger ist es dort wieder raus zu kommen. Keine Ahnung wie schwierig das ist für solche Controller eine Steuerung zu programmieren, aber es wirkt so, als wäre es einfach vergessen worden.

+ positiv. Ich konnte kurz mit Pfeil und Bogen schießen. Das war toll.
+ Die Umgebung um einen herum zu erleben ist mega.

Bethesda; I would have paid $60 for this in 2026 its so good if I didn't have to spend 6 hours modding the VR game to be VR. Just sayin.

Do NOT buy this at full price, if you don't mod it you will find there isn't much here for VR it's just Skyrim... but worse. For $10-$14 and a few hours of modding, well this can be one of the best VR titles out there but you WILL have to put in the work. Mod Organizer 2 can help keeps things straight. Worth it on sale with mods. You modders are AMAZING, just wow. Bethesda, great bones and frame you built, Do better.
