Aşşşırı eğlendim. Oyun ciddi anlamda kendini sevdiriyor. Özellikle kendine has esprili diyalogları hikayesi ile oldukça uyumlu. Eminim eğleneceksiniz.
Such a fun game. The tongue in cheek humor and the bumbling character of Dooley were so fun to play. The only case I found tedious was "Buy Hard" which had vague clues all throughout but all the others were very well written and a joy to figure out. 10/10. I'm looking forward to playing the sequel now!

I finished this game what ? Three times ? It's a short and enjoyable point and click. The main cast is quite adorable and the cases various enough to not get tired of them. Also, many easter eggs that will put a smile on gamers faces. Those who play many point and clicks both old and more recent.
This game has two sequels to date (one that is in the pipes with a playable demo available at the moment of typing this). It tells a lot about this series that get to the point without wasting too much of your time. Some riddles are a bit illogical but it's not too far-fetched. Ok... I admit... even on my third play-through I needed a guide for one particular case where I missed a collectable item.
This game is a gem and finishing it for the third time tell you how fond I am of games that get straight to the point, have a good humour, a good cast of characters, who don't waste time on superfluous aspects.

The Darkside Detective, Francis McQueen, and his sidekick Officer Dooley seem to be constantly caught up in the strange and supernatural around the quiet town of Twin Lakes. Using their less than superb police detective skills, the two must confront weird phenomena across nine episodes (cases), each of which present as short point and click narrative adventures.
While there is no overarching narrative, if players do progress through the chapters in sequential order, there are nods back to previous episodes, thus providing a somewhat linear narrative structure to the anthology. While the game is a point and click adventure, the logic puzzles are toned way down, with the main focus of the game being on its comedy writing.
Francis McQueen is a detective of supernatural phenomena, apparently the only one on the police force, and is regularly called to solve cases around the town. Accompanying Francis is Officer Dooley, a man with a very... unique way of looking at the world. Together the two are paired up to deliver an archetypal straight man and fool comedy routine across each episode. Essentially, the writing revolves around making jokes and puns about the environment, and having Dooley say dumb things.
There were a few puns which got a smirk out of me; however, I found the writing to be a bit safe. The game generally keeps its comedy very PG, which makes it an appropriate game for most. Where the writing is at its weakest is its reliance upon 80's reference humor as a crutch for virtually every case. All of the cases are references to famous movies from the 80's such as Gremlins, Poltergeist, etc.
The puzzles of Darkside Detective are very tame. In most circumstances, it is immediately apparent where and how to use the items found on McQueen and Dooley's adventures. In some ways, this defeats the point a bit of a point and click, as there's little in the way of alternate uses for items, or dialogue which expands beyond the initial examination prompt.
Most chapters also feature a small puzzle, simple things like block puzzles, or rewire the circuit type games. These segments are also extremely easy, so most could play these games with little to no outside help.
Overall, I'm not sure I'd generally recommend Darkside Detective. It's a nice game to play if one is short on time, especially because each case can be comfortably beaten within 30 minutes. However, I felt all too often the writing was too reliant upon reference humor, which didn't land as well as I think the writers intended. There's a sequel to the franchise, so I'm hoping to try that out as well some day.

A fantastic first entry in the series that really lays the groundwork for more games to come. All of the games spooky doorway gas made are great. Highly recommend playing them if you haven't. the Darkside Detective games are so good that despite having a steam deck I've bought them twice (PC and Switch).

相当有乐子的点击解密，内容短小，没有复杂的剧情，相较于同类型的《迷雾侦探》，虽然有着相似的大环境，但是本作完全没有推理要素，而是用荒诞成分填补，解密上也轻松了许多，没有强逻辑解密，而是更多的放在了有趣的联想以及巧妙的文字艺术。
Great casual point & click, great humor and characters! Love the bite size story format avoiding having too many choices of screens or items to deal with at once.
Only a couple of the bonus episodes have some more confusing puzzles.

Super fun game! There are more cases than I thought there would be to solve, and the sense of humor is awesome. Definitely worth the play!
Some of the puzzles are not wholly intuitive, but for the most part, you can figure things out on your own without too much issue (and when in doubt, try interacting with everything; even if it's wrong you might get a funny response).
A pretty fun point-and-click adventure game! The real strength of the game is the comedy, there's lots of funny dialogue if you click on everything or try different combinations of items. There are a couple of moon logic puzzles so I'd recommend having a walkthrough handy if you get stuck. Overall, would recommend!

A totally charming set of bite-sized mysteries in the point-and-click adventure style, filled with fetch quests and object interaction puzzles.
Recomendadísimo. Muy divertido, muy entretenido, un montón de referencias a la cultura pop, a pelis, libros... Mucho humor.

Simple point and click puzzle game.
Only needed a guide one time because there was an "item" in plain sight I didn't know was obtainable.
Probably one of my favourite games. I loved the characters, enjoyed the puzzles, and got a kick out of the humour. I usually play grimmer mystery and horror point and clicks, but this provided a good vibe in the same vein while being a lot lighter.

As someone who enjoyed both Simon the sorcerer and the monkey island games (with a nod to both in one of the cases!), this was such a pleasant surprise. Well written, well paced, great humour and the artwork is beautiful.

It’s not a detective game, it’s an adventure game. So pick up object A, combine with object B, give it to NPC C, or item D. Rinse repeat until you get to the end. With the exception of mini-games (I assume - read on).
The music is decent, the humor is very pun-ny. I can read through the reviews and many people love the characters and quirkiness. As a normal fan of quirkiness, boy, did I bounce off of this hard. The first case was inoffensive but I didn’t enjoy it. The second case was frustrating, in all of the bad ways of adventure games - I have to combine this, with this, and this? Really? I convinced myself I would try three of the nine cases to give it a fair try. Halfway through case 2 I busted out a walkthrough because I was just losing my patience. Then I hit the slide puzzle and just peaced out. I’m good, thanks.

If you´re looking for a quick and relaxing game with a little challenge, this is it. Funny jokes and puns that made me laugh, interesting stories, references that surprised me in a good way due their creativity and being cleverly put. I personally think this is very replayable and has its own unique style and energy. Bought this one and "A Fumble in the Dark" together, looking forward to play that one, too!
My only complaint is how FAST IT ENDED? When the credits rolled and turned to black screen I was FLABBERGASTED :O The game length is just enough BUT NOT ENOUGH for me, why did it ends that fast 😭😭
Really enjoyed this warm cozy detective game. Although it's a point and click game, it's full of enough suspense and puzzles that's challenging enough to solve. Perfect for a quick halloween getaway paired with hot chocolate and fuzzy blankets.
Another must mention is how cozy the soundtrack is?? Fits the ambience of each scene! Truly felt immersed in the story and makes me want to actually go on the adventures with McQueen, Dooley, and Nigel. 10000000 out of 10, definitely worth each bucks I paid!!!

Some of the dialogue is funny. In terms of gameplay, it's a "look for anything you can click and try every combination of items you can think of." The cases are rather short and simple with a few puzzles sprinkled in between. Not a bad game.

The "extreme" pixel art in this game was a turn off for me. I get wanting to imitate a retro style but this game took that concept so far I had difficulty focusing on that the game was about.
This game is perfect for a little break-time fun. Each case can be closed in about half an hour and the dialogue is fantastic. Definitely recommend playing it!

This is such a fun game! Not only it is a puzzle that you need to figure out how to complete to solve the case, the dialogues and situations are hilarious! I particularly loved the library tidbits and anything that gives a nod to Terry Pratchett. Such a fantastic find!
