Finally the ending of the Banner Saga!

I started these games over 10 years ago but never managed to finish the 3rd entry and see the conclusion.
It was an epic ride and the sroty delivered on all its promises. I still think the first game is the best when it comes to the story but this one had better mechanics overall. I defninitely liked the inclusion of the otehr characters who fight is a different style. That definietly helped keep things fresh. Story ended in a way that made sense and was impactful, which is all you can really hope for these days. Only critisism I have is that I was defeinitely getting tired of the combat by the ending 3rd of the game, and I was playing on easy. You can only kill slag and warped so many times before it gets boring. I think if the game let me continually level my abilities and get overpowered I would have had more fun. Solo runs, anyone? Anyways...

TLDR: this game series is full of bugs (including GAME BREAKING bugs that appear only after you've bought the third game and spent more than 2 hours playing it so you can't refund it) and the developers are not providing meaningful support. DO NOT BUY.

The deeper you get into the trilogy the buggier it gets. It gets really bad in BS2. Visuals bug out: scenes don't make sense because characters don't render when they're supposed to. Characters you've invested lots of resources in lose critical skills when you level them up for no apparent reason. Even worse these are known bugs that the developer has explicitly said they are not going to fix.

But then once you're $75 in and 3/4 of the way done with the story, the game-breaking bugs appear in BS3. FREQUENT crashes. Loading screens that never resolve. These are extra game-breaking because of how the save system works: there's no manual save, so if you spent 45 minutes completing a complex fight, and the game crashes--oops, now you have to redo it all! Even more maddening? You might have to do it a third time, a fourth time, or more! There's no way to know how many retries it'll take, or if it's just impossible to finish the game.

Even worse, the developers are just like, "oopsie, dunno why that happened! Join our Discord server where people are sharing weird workarounds like uninstalling the game and reinstalling it on an HDD!"

Suffice to say I feel very ripped off.

Wow.
This is the perfect conclusion to an amazing trilogy, nothing much else to say.
The mechanics here change heavily, and the survival is no longer a matter of food and numbers but more one of understanding the best way to survive a siege for as long as your second group needs; also, there are a lot more battles, which can become tiring but to be fair makes sense, and the new hero types that are added, along the higher levels, really add something.
Obviously though, the star of this game is, still, its story. I will not tell more to avoid spoilers, but this is an amazing third and closing chapter to an amazing written trilogy, in which for real it feels like your choices matter, even when you wish they didn't.

This was a tougher 'yes' than the first two chapters. On the one hand if you get to this one, you are already kind of invested, right? So this does a decent job of completing the saga. No spoilers here.

That said, itis MUCH more buggy than the other two. I had crashes now and then with 1&2, but this one crashed maybe 15-20 times. I didn't lose much ground to it, but it was frustrating. I think because they did some different stuff, and then added DLC. Likely it contributed anyway to a less tight codebase.

If you are invested in the story, this is an easy yes, especially when they are bundled together. I likely would not have paid full solo price for this one. 7/10 at the deep discounts

Вся серия игр — это какой-то мемс.
Вообще забавно писать это на третьей части, до которой и так никто не дошёл после двух «шедевральных» частей и особенно хайповой первой. Даже третью часть прошли... сколько там, 30% игроков? Мусор, мусор, просто мусор.
Сам чекнул серию только из-за высера подражателей «Ash of Gods». Та игра показалась ужасным проходняком, на что мне порекомендовали ЭТО... типа, это шедевр и оригинал. Ну... типы явно говноеды, что ж.
Замутить концовку в духе: «А солнце упало и разбилось, я типа управляла людьми, а это смертная казнь, ну ой, меня убили. Странно, почему, правда? Но короче этот додик меня воскресил и погубил целый мир до мне так грусна её убивать, а кста шиз больлной ваще, вы знали?!?!?!»
Круто, реально трагично, плакали всем селом Подсыщинск. Я сначала брата позвал, ему показал — он тоже плакал. Потом он матушку позвал — она тоже рыдала, потому что все девочки мечтают о звездах с неба, а тут чел целое солнце подарил, и оно разбилось. Позвали батю, так он нас почему-то тапком, как тараканов, к стенке приплющил. Но я думаю, это он от грусти над великим сюжетом, да. Всё как батян любит в стиле «Трансформеры 2».
А ещё прикол: без сохранений из 1 и 2 части по умолчанию идут самые худшие варианты событий. Мне пришлось испачкать свой ПК, чтобы установить 2 часть и обновить сейвы, ибо без бэби-монстра не видать нормальной концовки. А-ы-а-ы-а!
У меня было ресурсов на 35 дней путешествия в этом... как его, Белом Городе или где там солнце грохнулось. Не суть. Короче, из-за этого у меня вырезали целый пласт игры до защиты города. Ну и ладно, зато убил эту хрень за одну ночь.
Игра забагованная, реально вылетает, а вместо патчей челы высрали футболочки. Ну вы ничего, купите обязательно, игра реально шик, мой плюшевый заяц до сих пор в запое.
Боёвка — шлак, сюжет — шлак, динамика — ноль, дешевизна во всём. Зато футболку я уже заказал, буду ей унитаз мыть.
Ткачей под топор Больверка! А всем варлам, Воронам, коннорождённым и драугам — респект, остальные пошли на пошив мерча.
Бб, птенчики. Тыкай в пузо, пока горячо! ой. тыкай в пузо, пока не надоест!

I loved BS1 and BS2, and BS3 is great... But only when it works. 3hrs in and I've been dealing with constant crashes (as in after every battle and story sequence). None of the proposed solutions in the forums work, and I've tried basically all of them. I highly recommend 1+2, but sadly this game just flat out doesn't work.

a solid conclusion to the saga. much shorter, but that is due in part to decisions from past games playing in as well as decisions made in this entry.

combat is tweaked further with more additional customization, though enemies also start benefiting from the same things you do. still the same old true and tried combat system, and it still works well in the finale. the story is the star of the show, and even if i can see why people would be unhappy with it, i think the possible avenues are more than satisfying.

game does handle differently with half of it deciding to forgo the usual resource maintenance the previous entries are known for and focusing more on closing the story. you can definitely feel the studio was trying to push you to the conclusion, and as a charitable reading of it, made it better and easier to replay this entry to see the different possible avenues you can go down. am i wrong and this is just the end result of them rushing it? maybe, don't know, but i do know that with how this one is structured it feels like the better way to do it.

i do think as a whole the trilogy is worth playing... and to be honest if you stop at 2 after that massive cliffhanger, i'm not sure what to tell you? this is the conclusion and it feels worth it. memorable trilogy i don't regret picking up and playing.

as a point of criticism, they opted to make the extra modes (arena and survival) paid dlc, which kind of stings after survival was free in saga 2, but also it's not like they're the star of the show, much less mandatory, so shrug.

Третья часть словно является и кульминацией, и вместе с тем развязкой самого настоящего эпоса, в создании которого трилогия предлагает поучаствовать игроку.

Финальная часть Саги обостряет всё — противоречия между кланами, отношения отдельных персонажей, неоднозначность принимаемых решений. Важнейшую роль во всём этом сыграл геймплей. То, как разные элементы геймплея и игровые механики усиливают гнетущий тон проекта, достойно похвалы.

Арт-дизайн проекта на высоте, впрочем, как и саундтрек, впрочем, это и не новость.

10 🚩 из 10! Эпично. Прекрасно. Увлекательно. Это великолепное завершение замечательной истории.

Loved the story, the art, the battles.
If you are not into long, mind-breaking battles, this is not the game for you!

Survival mode and Arena are especially tough but worthy.

Combat is brutal and unforgiving.

Did I mention the story is awesome? Most games nowadays lack this quality in storytelling.

Наконец-то завершены все три части, в связи с чем не поленюсь написать отзывы к каждой из них. Говоря о тройке, всё же снова отмечу сюжет, он не скатился и логично завершился, оставляя место радости и печали. Было интересно наблюдать за его развитием все три части. В финале же я реально волновался за каждого из персонажей, учитывая гнетущую атмосферу по обеим линиям сюжетного фронта. Конечно, интересная мысль о разобщённости всех представленных в игре рас, учитывая фигуру любознательного и открытого новому старейшего Убина.
В целом, с точки зрения сражений на нормальной сложности, эта часть заставила меня изрядно попотеть. Если во второй части я застревал только на сражениях с Безглазой, то здесь значительная часть битв вынуждала меня подгружать сохранения ... Местами это выводило из себя, но что поделать: отвечает атмосфере игры и искажённых.

В плане же ачиков разработчики как-то активизировались: по-моему, их слишком много и, видимо, они сильно зависят от доп. режимов и (или) сложностей сюжета.

It was certainly an improvement over the second game, but probably because the power levels were getting so out of hand that the RNG didn't impact things as much. The writing was fine and they did an ok job wrapping up the story but it did seem like they were desperate for people to care about the lore. It felt like a very different game though, given that the skogr caravan doesn't go anywhere, they're just stuck in Arberrang but still you go through long periods of watching nothing happen because they needed the "caravan walking" scene transitions. I also see where they were coming from with the wave combat but it felt like a punishment for being bad at a the game that the wave shows up if you can't kill things fast enough. Also Iver's caravan not needing food, not being able to camp...it felt much more on the rails than the other games. Still, it was fine, I guess. I recommend this game but only slightly. Also the achievement list feels a little bloated and like they thought this provided more replay value.

The finale is great, from the story, to the new elements and additions to combat and strategy, to the difficulty of hard mode, along with the additional content available after beating the game if you still want to play.

However there is a lot to be disappointed about in the Trilogy as a whole.

1. The game is filled with hidden bugs, missing scenes, dialogue issues, combat mechanics that straight up don't work, etc. The annoying thing is many of these issues are fixed by 2 people via mods, and the devs are so lazy in almost a decade they haven't simply added those modders fixes to the base games. Literally issues from game 1 are present in all 3 games in the trilogy, making it pretty obvious the 3 games were actually meant to be together in a single game.

2. This game in particular is filled with bugs that cause infinite loading screens or crushes during loading screens. You might not even be able to beat this game, due to it being made for garbage PC's. By time you experience one of these issues, you likely wont be eligible for a refund. Highly risky purchase for an old product, that was made on kickstarter. This trilogy should not be its current price.

I hope Stoic Studio remakes this trilogy with a larger budget, modern QOL, with full voice acting for all dialogue, more stuff and detail happening in the background, more audio SFX, and better combat. Maybe with mod tools so people can create their own events, or even their own story line, with custom everything.

First of all, it works perfectly on steamdeck now.
The trilogy is great overall, gameplay is not too simple but not too complex, you definitely get attached to some characters and lose some of them . The fact that you can't really save and reload makes some of the permadeaths annoying but that's the salt of the scenario I guess.
A bit tedious to transfer the save game from one game to the next but possible, and important as you get more powerful items that if you just launch a new game (still possible though but you get a bit less specific items linked to some particular possible fun builds)
The endgame (episode three) is a bit tedious to finish although it s good that they changed a bit the gameplay, there is a bit too much walking but it s acceptable.

Graphics are really perfect for the ambiance.
Probably a bit pricey at full price but definitely worth it at the first promo you ll see

Ein absolut unrühmliches Ende für eine bislang fantastische Spielreihe.
Und es liegt nicht einmal an den üblichen Verdächtigen - keine Mikrotransaktionen, keine Abkehr von Systemen, die die Vorgänger fantastisch gemacht haben, kein woker Zeitgeist-Twist, kein Weichspülen, nichts. Das Kampfsystem wurde sogar noch weiter verbessert und das "Weiterkämpfen" aus Teil 1 wiederbelebt.

Das Spiel läuft TECHNISCH einfach nicht. Ich habe unzählige Kämpfe 2-3 wiederholen müssen - manche davon dauern sehr lange, da ich "bis zum bitteren Ende" raufe. Und nach jedem Menüwechsel, nach jedem Kampf, nach jeder Szene die große Sorge: Crasht es einfach? Endloser Ladebildschirm?

Während ich Teil 1 und Teil 2 einfach weggeatmet habe muss ich sagen, das hier: Das bereitet keine Freude.

The game would be a fantastic follow-up to the first two if it weren't for frequent crashes after battles has been forcing me to re-do tough fights. I'm also getting green screens when cutscenes are supposed to play. I've had to go into the game files and find the video files and play the cutscenes outside of the game to follow the story.

I love the masterful artwork, the dramatic story and even the challenging gameplay of all three Banner Saga parts.

Unfortunately, especially TBS3 crashes during loadscreens (even in 2026 you have to do some long fights several times and in Survival Mode you lose a retry attempt when the game crashes while loading).

Maybe someone should release a final patch?

It's absolutely heartbreaking to not recommend this game.

This series has been on my pile of shame since it came out and I finally started playing through it, and up until this point, had been loving every minute. And now, right at the end, it's a completely broken mess.

I didn't really have any issues with the first 2, but this one just keeps crashing after a long battle, forcing me to not only replay the whole fight but also have to go through the preceding dialog and cutscenes, only for it to crash again. I looked it up online and there are plenty of people saying the same thing from similar situations.

It's just so disappointing to come all this way only to not be able to see the end because the devs gave up on updating it for modern systems. I get that it's expensive to put resources into such an old game, but maybe warn people that it's probably not going to work?

Edit: So I finally managed to brute force it to the end. My tactic was to never fight past the first round in a multi-stage fight, and pretty much after every save, I restarted the game. A massive pain to do but I never had another crash after doing this. I still don't recommend the game though, as despite the story being incredible, you shouldn't have to constantly restart the game and miss out on trinkets and renown by fleeing fights early. Maybe check out how the console ports are going instead?

Troisième opus de la trilogie Banner saga, cet épisode marque une continuité étouffante avec ses prédécesseurs.

J'entends par là que rien ne change : ni le gameplay, ni les graphismes, ni l'histoire, ni même le style d'écriture. Et si l'histoire avait jusque-là suffi à compenser les autres lacunes, il se trouve que passer des dizaines d'heures à "survivre" avec pour seule carotte l'envie de savoir comment tout cela se termine finit quand même par fortement lasser.

De plus, défaut qui m'a semblé mineur au début mais qui s'est révélé catastrophique pour moi, les sauvegardes cross-plateformes n'existent pas, si bien que les décisions que j'ai prises lors du premier opus ont ici été choisies pour moi. Conséquence : j'ai perdu un personnage auquel je tenais beaucoup alors que j'avais justement fait les choix nécessaires pour le garder en vie.
Frustrant, mais pas rédhibitoire en soi, ce fut malheureusement le dernier clou ajouté au cercueil d'une histoire qui n'aura finalement pas réussi à tenir ses promesses, selon moi tout du moins.

The game looks amazing. The story and the music and the art are all fantastic. The combat is so much strategic fun. Its such an epic saga that's the end of a long journey after 1 & 2.

Don't buy it.

You may be one of the lucky ones that doesn't have any issues, but you may be one of the people, like me, for whom it is literally unplayable after about 1/3 of the way through the game. And even before it becomes unplayable, there are frequent crashes.

It breaks my heart, but it also pisses me off.

终于在2026年之前，把1&2&3捏着鼻子打完了，评价仍然和之前一样，没购买的人，哪怕打骨折也不要买。
原因：
一、123的战斗系统进化幅度忽略不计，玩到后面非常无聊。
二、123的战斗有BUG，且一代更甚一代。
三、惯例差评翻译，剧情导向的游戏，翻译垃圾还能说什么
四、不看着攻略从1开始玩，基本上已经决定了3的结局是什么，也就是说3很难改变你能打出的结局。

以下是剧情解释

首先游戏标题的意思为：一面旗帜代表一个家族或文明的延续。人们将经历绣在旗帜上代代相传，只要旗帜还在，文明就不灭。

序章：故事发生在一个人类与巨人共存的世界。创世神已经死亡，导致两个灾难性的后果：
1.太阳永不落下，世界处于永恒的白昼。
2.一种名为 “黑裔”（Dredge）的石质黑暗种族从地底涌出，席卷大地。它们是由一位嫉妒的神所创造的不死战士。

第一部：流亡伊始
双线叙事：
第一线是巨人领袖哈肯（Hakon）与人类王子鲁丁（Ludin）率领联军往北前往巨人故乡；
另一线是人类猎人鲁克（Rook）带领女儿阿莱特（Alette）和村民被黑裔追杀，一路往南逃亡。
结局：在对抗黑裔指挥官时，鲁克或阿莱特其中一人可能会牺牲，存活者将成为第二部的主角。

第二部：分裂与深入

The conclusion of Banner Saga, the 3rd entry, the culmination of the story you've weaved together.
This is by far, the hardest and most stress inducing part of the trilogy, with everything you've fought for being slowly wittled away as you try your hardest to survive the coming onslaight.

I will say, the ending should've been bigger, it feels like a cop out, especially since during the penultimate chapter, you are fighting tooth and nail, resulting in the ending feeling lacking, even with the mod added, which supposedly restored cut content, I still feel there should've been more.

This said, this game is short, and, if you can grab the bundle during this time, I think it's worth it. I would not advise buying the game at full price.

Reviewing The Banner Saga is not easy without talking about the entire trilogy.
This is a saga where choices truly matter, and their consequences can echo from the first game all the way to the third. For this reason, I strongly recommend playing the trilogy by importing your saves from one game to the next, as this is where the series truly shines.

[h2] The Banner Saga 3: [/h2]
⚠️ Spoiler Warning: This section contains story and gameplay spoilers for The Banner Saga 3.

Unfortunately, this is the chapter I liked the least, and it frustrated me on more than one occasion.

The art direction remains inspired and well crafted, just like in the previous games, but the experience is far less exploratory, and most of its issues stem from this change.

At a certain point, management mechanics are completely removed, and I found many narrative choices frustrating. Several times I had to reload my last save because the consequences did not match what I reasonably expected, making choices feel almost random.

I really did not enjoy the Rook/Alette storyline. While the idea of trying to keep things under control after major events is interesting but spending the entire time inside a city felt extremely boring after two games where the journey itself was the core of the experience.

The journey of Juno, Eyvind, and Iver was more interesting but still very repetitive and not on par with the second chapter.

Combat is by far the most frustrating aspect of this game. The addition of Heroic Titles did not significantly improve gameplay, and the difficulty feels poorly balanced. Enemies are not truly difficult, they are simply long to kill. They have much higher strength and armor, making them disproportionate compared to your party.
The real challenge lies in weakening enemies fast enough to prevent them from one-shotting weaker party members (such as archers).

I played without engaging additional waves and never had issues with renown points. However, whenever I tried to push further, I was quickly defeated because I failed to kill all enemies before the round timer expired, causing reinforcements to arrive.

On top of that, I encountered several bugs that made the experience even more frustrating:

[*]The game once crashed during a loading screen after a battle. Since saving happens after combat, I had to replay the entire fight.
[*]On multiple occasions, at the start of a battle, I was unable to position my heroes due to a UI bug: I could click them, but not move them.
[*]Several times (including during the final battle), I was unable to confirm basic attacks. The only workaround was using abilities, which was extremely annoying, especially in the final fight, where I had to use Iver’s Tempest ability [*]I also noticed many translation and grammar errors in the Italian localization. While not game-breaking, these issues negatively impacted immersion and made the narrative feel less polished than expected, especially for such a story-driven game.

Sadly, this third chapter disappointed me greatly and does not reflect the experience of the previous games. This is further worsened by the lack of a proper conclusion to Alette/Rook’s storyline, which feels unresolved unless the protagonist dies. While that post-death scene is very well done, the absence of an equivalent ending if the protagonist survives feels like a questionable design choice.

Would I recommend The Banner Saga 3?
Only to conclude the saga.
If this chapter had been the first one, I probably would not have continued the series at all.

This series was an incredible ride. The art was beautiful, the characters were interesting, and i really started to get the hang of the combat at the very end. i know there were many main heroes that played important roles in the story, but i ended up getting super attached to some of the generic companions who you could pick up along the way. there were several technical issues i ran into (specifically there were multiple times that cutscenes messed up and required me to close the game and restart from an earlier checkpoint and each time i imported the save file across games some people would have their abilities permanently broken/unusable) but those didn't impact me too much.

Wow, what a journey. Truly a wonderful conclusion to the saga. Having now completed all 3 of the games, it becomes somewhat hard to see them as separate so bear in mind this short review describes all of them. The Banner Saga is a visually striking (and beautiful) game accompanied by fun and engaging combat and a story (the "saga") that keeps you hooked right from the start of the first game until the very end of the last game. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who loves a good, thought-provoking and emotional narrative, alongside a fun turn based combat.

Magnifico. Un gioco strategico a turni RPG che toglie il fiato e fa emozionare.
A chi piace la mitologia norrena, leggere e l'animazione 2D. Colonna sonora fantastica, i disegni e il design ancora di più. Mi sono innamorato dei suoi personaggi, del loro stile e delle loro storie e ho seguito la storia di Alette e Rook dall'inizio con il primo capitolo fino alla fine. Non nego che sono scese delle lacrime durante i vari capitoli. Giocato e rigiocato più e più volte i primi due per scoprire tutte le storie e le varie trame, purtroppo solo una volta il terzo poiché a causa della natura del mio lavoro non posso dedicare più tanto tempo al gaming.
E forse solo questa l'unica pecca che non è una pecca: il gioco salva automaticamente dopo aver preso decisioni importanti, parlato con personaggi e finito battaglie, spesso sovrascrivendo l'ultimo salvataggio del capitolo (non permettendo quindi di vedere gli altri dialoghi una volta presa una scelta). Forse se avrò abbastanza tempo nel futuro mi rigiocherò anche questo capitolo per esplorare i percorsi di trama.

В том техническом состоянии, в котором игра находится сейчас я её однозначно не рекомендую. Может быть это фишка, вылеты после каждого второго боя, типа увеличение контента таким образом. Не знаю, но такое состояние простой, по сути, в техническом плане игры - это очень странно, особенно, учитывая, что разработчики делают уже третью часть и должны были успеть набить руку. К слову, за первые две части не было ни одного вылета.
В остальном игра заканчивает классную историю, выдерживая градус эпика и поднимая его максимально высоко.
К сожалению, из-за технического состояния, пришлось проходить на лёгкой сложности, что убило геймплейную составляющую. Но переигрывать потные бои по два раза никакого желания не было.
Хотелось бы увидеть больше итога своих действий и выборов в эпилоге, как это было в Ведьмаке, например.
Здесь же приходится довольствоваться несколькими рисунками-набросками с улыбающимися персонажами. Типа у всех всё классно.
Всё это ещё приумножается новой механикой боёв на несколько раундов. Добавили бы, что ли, возможность сейвится тогда вручную, хоть какой-то был бы выход.

Too much crashing. I liked the first and second, but could get frustrated with how punishing "wrong" decisions could be. Just personally not my idea of fun gameplay, I persisted because the art, story, combat etc were enjoyable. Now I've crashed twice as I'm loading into combat after a decent amount of dialogue and time and it's just not good enough to reload the whole game and hope it will work this time.

An excellent game that I highly recommend! My only problem is that the game actively damages its own replayability by attaching Renown to achievements, and thus making any subsequent playthroughs much harder. I've had a nightmare of a time trying to get my family into Banner Saga, and actually fell off it for a long time because life got in the way and I ended up having to restart the game a couple times, only to find the experience vastly harder when I started over again. But the story is great, the art is beautiful, and your choices feel meaningful. So should the trilogy strike your fancy, I think you should give it a shot.

This is a review for the whole saga (all 3 games) since there's no meaningful difference in gameplay and it's one complete story.

Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and most of my complaints were minor things or personal nitpicks. The artwork was amazing and I loved all the character designs. The soundtrack is excellent (though not as amazing as the Tooth and Tail soundtrack from the same composer). I didn't experience any technical issues (aside from one major story choice when I tried to port over my save for the first game from the GOG edition). Voice acting was great, i just wish there had been more of it.

-Combat
Very solid system and no surprise they tried to make a board game out of it. I liked all of the class types and special abilities. The system itself I have no issue with, but over the course of the 30-40hr runtime for the full saga it does start to get old. The saga could have used some more unique combat objectives or timers or environments. Too many fights that are just 'kill the other team'. Even 3-way fights would've been a nice way to mix it up.
- Resource management
No real complaints here, it felt like I was playing oregon trail and dying just as badly at times. You go through periods of feast and famine and I felt like it was dynamic enough and didn't really need any deeper systems. The fact that your money is also your currency for levelling characters I'm still on the fence about. It added some really interesting/tough choices to the game but it would have also been fun to have more freedom to level my favorite heroes.
- Story & choices
I really enjoyed the storyline/narrative. I felt like I could really get into the role of the characters and stay immersed. The fact that you never know how a choice will affect the story or if the effects will be immediate or long-term adds a ton of tension and really made me focus on roleplay first and not optimization of rewards like many other games. This could be frustrating at times when you expected a certain outcome but your choice backfired horribly but I think it was the right way to handle decision making in the game.

Игра отвратительна в техническом плане. Она вылетает так часто, что становится просто неиграбельной. Нужно буквально брутфорсить свой путь к концовке, пробираясь сквозь постоянные вылеты на экранах загрузки. Краши происходят, как правило, после больших битв длинной 30+ минут, и соответственно их приходится переигрывать заново, потому что они не сохраняются. Чаще всего после таких битв игра начинает [b] перманентно [/b] вылетать и чтоб продвинуться дальше по сюжету нужно сделать другой сюжетный выбор в диалоговом окне перед боем и отступить сразу при первой возможности. Это просто абсурд и игра не должна продаваться в таком состоянии. При моем первом прохождении трилогии это сделало ее непроходимой и мне пришлось смотреть концовку на ютубе. Сейчас же, при втором прохождении, уже более-менее повезло — она вылетела всего около 6-7 раз, ближе к финалу. Это не нормально, когда после финального боя ты переживаешь не за персонажей, а за то чтоб игра не крашнулась и не пришлось все переигрывать. Каким бы ни был хорошим сюжет, такие вещи рубят все погружение на корню. Хотя даже с сюжетом у игры есть проблемы.

Повествование ощущается очень скомканным и быстрым, будто сделано в огромной спешке, авторы допускают очень странные сценарные решения и обрезают целые сюжетные ветки.

Вторая часть закончилась на сильном клифхенгере, где назревал мощный конфликт с Канари и ее конорожденными, а также нужно было выбрать сторону короля или Ругги (преподносилось это как реально важное решение). По итогу все закончилось одним большим пуком. [spoiler] Конфликт с конорожденными замяли в первые минуты игры. Что же на счет короля - он все равно сразу впускает всех людей в город, обнуляя при этом финальную конфронтацию короля и Ругги, что превращает сторонников Ругги из людей, борющихся за свою жизнь, в тупых имбицилов, что хотят обречь остатки человечества на жестокую смерть. [/spoiler] Просто потому что истории нужен был хоть какой-то конфликт в городе. Все, что касается сюжетной линии Ругги и его восстания, написано странно и притянуто. [spoiler] Хотя возможность убить Руггу при допросе, играя за Аллету, очень хороша, сразу показывает, как сильно Аллета выросла характером. [/spoiler]

Более того, непонятно почему король во второй части так не хотел впускать беженцев, ведь оказалось, что места в городе хватило бы на всех.

Насколько лучше было бы если бы король не открывал ворота города беженцам сразу. Это привело бы к тому, что вне зависимости от выбранной стороны нужно было бы сражаться на два фронта: против драгов и своих же людей. И только после того, как обе стороны людей сильно пострадали от драгов, король бы открыл врата. Вышло бы так, что, выбрав сторону Ругги и пытаясь спасти как можно больше людей, Рук/Аллета обрекли бы таким образом свой клан на еще большие жертвы, чем если бы они поступили эгоистично (при соглашении с королем). А все потому что они бы оказались без защиты стен. Это добавило бы сюда капельку грустной иронии и реальную причину для конфронтации между людьми внутри стен. Но такого нету, сторонники Ругги бунтуют просто потому что. А король при этом ощущается бесхребетным врунишкой, что в один день говорит одно, а в другой — совсем другое. Отравление делает его еще более жалким.

Но это еще ладно, такое со скрипом можно простить. По-настоящему грустно от того, как обошлись с большинством персонажей и как реализован финал.

Сюжетку Больверка и воронов будто пожевали и выплюнули. [spoiler] Больверк умирает в финале как самый обычный стандартный противник и на воронов благополучно забивают болт. Фолька, которая постоянно говорила, как ей одиноко, убивает своего единственного близкого друга, и мы не получаем ни одной строчки диалога по этому поводу, ни-че-го (при том что Больверк еще и был одним из главных действующих лиц 2 части). Персонажам в отряде уделяется совсем уж мало внимания, особенно Эгилю и варлам. Про драгов я вообще молчу, очень хотелось узнать про них побольше информации и увидеть хоть какое-то раскрытие, но увы.

Самое "прикольное" — это механика финала, где чем лучше ты играешь, тем меньше контента ты получаешь. Из-за этого целые сюжетные линии остаются не завершенными. Работает это так: в конце включается таймер, отсчитывающий время до полного конца, чем лучше ты играл до этого и чем сильнее твой клан, тем больше времени на таймере. За это время, по идее, нужно успеть завершить игру. Однако, если время на таймере заканчивается раньше времени, нам дают возможность добавить на него еще немного драгоценных часов, совершая определенные поступки и делая тяжелые выборы (таких шансов добавить время будет 5). В такие моменты происходят самые драматичные события в игре, самые эпичные битвы, а также важные разговоры с персонажами. На бумаге это звучит как крутой концепт и напряженный финал, но дело в том, что если ты играешь достаточно хорошо, то таймер никогда обнуляться не будет. Соответственно, если ты хорошо играешь, игра просто лишает тебя третьего акта. Это особенно грустно, если учитывать, что и без этого концовка довольно быстрая и скомканная [spoiler] (даже не показали воссоединение Рука/Аллеты с Ивером) [/spoiler]. Мне буквально приходилось целенаправленно принимать плохие решения и ослаблять свой клан просто чтоб увидеть романтишный диалог Эгиля с Аллетой и получить ачивку.

Можно еще упомянуть отвратительнейший русский перевод. Местами очень четко прослеживается почерк машинного перевода. Ни за что не играйте с официальной русской локализацией.

Хотелось бы завершить свой мысленный поток на чем-то хорошем. Основной сюжетный костяк все еще очень классный и я бы получила от игры намного больше приятных впечатлений если бы не вылеты. Боевка стала довольно глубокой и интересной. Нарисована игра все так же прекрасно и музыка все еще великолепная, песня в титрах буквально пробивает на слезки. Это, в общем то, все.

La saga en elle même vaut le coup! Je veux dire le premier opus dispose d'une bonne intrigue mais a partir du deuxième opus des bugs commencent a faire leur apparition... Bug léger pour Banner Saga II du genre a planter après un combat mais le plus dècevant ses bien le troisième opus! La fin bug constamment... J'ai du aller regarder la fin sur Youtube...

Ses un insulte pour ceux qui ont acheter et entamé la trilogie...
