SWORDS of GARGANTUA es un cóctel de Acción/Aventura/Rol diseñado específicamente para RV: entras a mazmorras, repartes espadazos con detección de movimiento y te vendes la fantasía de ser un héroe… hasta que recuerdas que estás agitando los brazos en tu sala como si espantaras mosquitos caros. La propuesta es clara: combate cuerpo a cuerpo en primera persona, progreso estilo RPG y enfoque fuerte en cooperativo en línea (incluso multiplataforma).

La primera impresión es buena si vienes por el “power fantasy” de la espada en RV: moverte, bloquear, atacar y sentir el ritmo del combate es el gancho. El detalle controversial: el juego se siente como ese amigo que jura que “esta vez sí arma la partida”… y luego ves “Jugadores actuales: 0” y te das cuenta de que el cooperativo es más un concepto filosófico que una opción de menú.

Aun así, como experiencia en solitario cumple el papel de “aventura de acción con progresión” para sesiones cortas. No esperes una epopeya narrativa; aquí la historia suele ser la excusa elegante para justificar que sigas cortando cosas.

SWORDS of GARGANTUA es de esos juegos que, en RV, se disfrutan por el simple placer primitivo de blandir una espada y sentir que tu cuerpo participa. En solitario puede ser una aventura de acción competente con toques de progresión tipo RPG: nada revolucionario, pero sí entretenido.

El problema (y aquí va lo controversial) es que presume multijugador y cooperativo como carta fuerte… con 0 jugadores activos. Eso no es “nicho”, es “silencio ambiental”. Aun con 286 recomendaciones totales, hoy la comunidad se siente como una fiesta a la que llegaste cuando ya están barriendo.

¿Vale la pena? Si buscas acción en RV y aceptas jugarlo como experiencia principalmente individual, puede rendir. Si tu sueño era un cooperativo constante y caótico, este juego te va a dar algo más íntimo: una relación estable contigo mismo.

Melee is hard for VR, since the in-game physics collisions can't match the unrestricted real life controllers, but this is clearly more of an early VR test rather than a polished modern VR title. The UI being up so close popping up before each wave and locked to the center of vision is my biggest complaint. The game seems like it gets cool eventually but from the progression I can tell that I don't want to play it for long enough to collect the coins to level up the stats to get that far.

The game starts very strong, telling you an epic story with an awesome background and putting you in the shoes of a hero. Throughout the story you also get to hear great voice acting (from a single person). Then that's pretty much it. The gameplay is not great and extremely repetitive, spawn in a room, defeat enemies, go to next room. It gets boring quickly as there's only about a handful of enemies and you just fight stronger versions of them as you progress through the levels. There's no follow up to the story. I found myself very often fighting the camera and while you get some coins during gameplay they give you so little they may as well not give you any. You get to level up on each play through but there's very little progression outside of that other than very slowly padding your stats.

If that wasn't enough, while I tried to give the game a chance, after clearing a room an ad to join the game's discord took over my vision, making me lose a good weapon and miss my level up skill. That was utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It has the potential to be good, but some of the mechanics just feel really bad. Dashing feels like I'm going to hurt myself. Blocking is inconsistent and unreliable, as in sometimes it just doesn't work. If I drop my swords, they just vanish half the time, nowhere to be seen ever again.

I'll admit, when I first bought this game to play it with a friend, I was under the impression that it was pretty basic, but cool. Feels a bit like Sword Art Online, but as a shallow arena hack and slash.

I look around a bit to see what's next, where this'll all go, and I find that there was a roadmap that contained plans to release the OOParts Labyrinth content update, where you and friends could adventure through a procedurally generated dungeon to put together an out of place artifact you'd need to defeat a floor boss. According to some other sources I could find, spell casting and ranged weapons were planned as well.

Not only was none of this added, none of this is talked about at all, it's as if the community and developers forgot this was even planned. Furthermore, the developers moved onto their new game, Altair Breaker, which is practically the same game with a new coat of paint and two new mechanics (in the same shallow arena hack and slash format): climbing/gliding and aerial anime style slash dashes.

From what I can tell, that game has nothing much to do in it either, and just recently on their discord servers, they've announced a THIRD GAME that is currently in development, which will undoubtedly be the same thing with another coat of paint.

Even worse than their penchant for jumping from one ship to the other, they had the audacity to design the game in a way where it relied on a service to continue to run at all, not just to connect players, and for quite some time after the termination of this underdeveloped game, it was completely unavailable. Only recently, after significant backlash, have the developers decided to renege on the termination, and restore the service with a new offline mode so the game can be played again. I imagine they figured out that if players understood the same thing could happen with Altair Breaker, no one would care about that game, or anything else they have to release.

But after witnessing all of this firsthand over the process of a couple years, I'm here to tell you to run. Do not support any of Thirdverse's products. Until they prove that not only can they develop a compelling game that isn't just a single mechanical iteration on the exact same idea with new 3D models, and prove that they can be trusted to keep it around, none of their products are worth the price tag unless you're getting it for a literal pittance.

But even then you'll be bored after a handful of hours with this ankle deep VR swordfighter. If you want to see this type of game done better, for singleplayer, go try Blade and Sorcery, and for multiplayer, try Legendary Tales.

This is by far one of the most solid sword fighting games I have played in VR to date.

Whether your interested in a classic hack and slash or playing the game like the developers intended; Swords of Gargantua is the game for you. I enjoyed the fact that most weapons could be handled with one hand, two hands, or even be thrown (some of them come back to you) Hit boxes were where they were supposed to be, and the games pacing was on point as well. Play alone or play in a group up to 4 players, very little lag, glitches have not been seen by me.

Love the game, give it a shot, totes worth the money.

やはり剣戟ゲームもなかでは最高に面白いゲームだと思います！

他にあるゲームのように自分の攻撃も敵の攻撃もざっくりした位置で当たってしまう、ということはなく当たり判定がシビアだからこそ、敵の弱点を狙う、敵の一部にランダムに表示されるコンボマーカーを狙うことや、しっかり敵の攻撃を防御したり攻撃を紙一重で躱したり手ごたえのある戦いができます。
また楽曲も世界観も大変すばらしく、すばらしい没入感を体験できると思います。

性能の違う武器がたくさんあるので、自分がこれだ！と思った武器を育て極めていくのも大きな楽しみの一つかと思います。

戦うゲームが好きな方にはぜひ遊んでほしいゲームです！

ここからは改善してほしい点なのですが、、

●現在、今までのイベントで登場した武器がほぼすべてショップに並んでいるため、新規に始められた方はなかなかひとつの武器を育てられず、今までのプレイヤーとの武器性能の差を縮められず、大変かもしれません。
なので、ショップに並ぶ武器数を3個から5.6個に増やしたり、基本的な武器だけでも割高でもいつでも購入できるできるようにしたほうが、もともとのプレイヤーとの差を埋めやすく、一緒に楽しく遊べると思います。

●上の点も含め、難易度が武器性能に依存しすぎているため、マルチでは強い武器を持ったプレイヤーがほとんどの敵を倒してしまい、始めたばかりのプレイヤーが楽しめない状況であると思います。
せっかく敵との駆け引きがたのしめる要素がたくさんあるので、特に敵を一撃で倒せるような威力の高い武器は攻撃力や耐久度を再調整してほしいです。

●可能であれば、クエスト単体版、rift版、steam版のセーブデータの共有・移動などができたらうれしいです。

以上、さまざまな要望も書きましたが、私自身このゲームは最高のゲームの一つだと思っていて、サービス再開だけでも大変うれしかったのですが、今後もさらにより良いゲームになってほしいとも思います。

Do not buy games from this developer: They fully intended to brick this game and leave consumers without a product. They backpedaled on this decision due to outrage because it is, in fact, one of the dumbest things you can do to your consumer base (and also possibly illegal). I mean, why would anyone buy your games in the future if it's possible they just disappear? That's insane and whoever made that decision is incompetent. Just wow.

Can you imagine paying for a game, and then being informed some time later that "yeah not only is it not being updated, you straight up can't play it anymore". It's honestly shocking, very rarely does a developer do something so egregious. Do not patronize them.

Just started playing this, seeing the initial word that the game was shutting down late september. I hate the needlessly temporary nature of a game like this when it shouldn't be, but I am writing this(on steam no less) to give the devs props as it does seem they genuinely are listening to community feedback, with this and it appears past issues. It was definitely a bad look to shut down even single player(multiplayer is understandable and a different beast especially with the VR niche for a smaller dev). But looking at their latest update, as long as they deliver on the offline mode I can say this is a pretty good game.

From what small amount I've played, the narrative is simple but executed decently well for what it is, and the combat is pretty fun. It's a melee arena game with some soulsy influence, so it doesn't break the mold or anything, but it has some decent dodge and damage increase systems, with a few roguelike mechanics built in as well. I do plan on playing this some through the initial EOS and possibly dip in on occasion once it returns in 2023. It's still a bummer that it will go away at all before the offline mode, but I once again thank the devs for making the good decision to build that in after the fact.

They will be removing this game from the Steam store on [b] August 30th 2022 [/b]. No, that does not mean "buy it quickly before it's gone!", because they are also going to terminate service for a [b] primarily single player game [/b] on September 30th of 2022. That's right. They are going to let people buy this game up until a month before they completely make it unplayable. Effectively, they would be charging you full price to rent the game for a single month.

Even before this fact, the game was barely worth the money - it's a glorified gladiator-style arena slasher with extremely shallow mechanics. At its best I would find it hard to recommend, but especially now given the developer/publisher's terrible, downright deceptive, behavior.

I want to mention that while I don't play this game as much as Blade and Sorcery or Swordsman VR because it lacks the sword physics, I still had a lot of fun with it and I must say, I'm extremely disappointed that not only are they disabling online, the notice also seems to imply that they are completely removing the game, completely unplayable.

It's for this reason and while it saddens me, I cannot recommend this game anymore. It will only be a waste of money.

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME!!!!!

Developers have inexplicably decided to shutter the servers, meaning no SINGLE PLAYER play. Due to not giving any valid reason for doing so, I would recommend review-bombing this game purely to push the message out to prospective purchasers.

This sort of action deeply offends me - VR is still trying to find it's way, and for games like this - which I actually quite enjoyed - to be suddenly removed without a good reason - is a huge ♥♥♥♥ YOU to customers.

Sure, the dev team might have funding issues, or they might be finding running an online game quite a taxing business. I get it. However, make the damn game playable offline - I'm pretty sure there is no real reason it can't be, other than to peddle store crap.

It's a shame Valve can't sue them for such shady practices. A dark day in the world of gaming - what with the recent news of many other games being shuttered with no thought for those still playing, and now this...

Let's hope the gaming industry wakes up a bit and starts injecting some passion into their projects.

[b][u]Do NOT Buy this game![/u][/b] Do not ever support Thirdverse Co. Ltd. I understand that the economics in VR can be very tough for an online multiplayer focused game. The devs probably didn't make that much money from from this endeavor. However, to then go and make a game that requires an online connection and completely unplayable offline, is a problem the developer chose not to fix for their loyal customers.

I bought this game from a 3rd party website. Luckily, I spent less less than $5 USD and so I don't feel totally ripped off. However, it's still theft. The devs, by their own design, are making a game totally unplayable. You can't even play singleplayer offline. That is their fault. That is their lack of commitment to their customer. I know a few people who just recently bought this game during the Steam summer sale. And now these devs are terminating service for this game just a few months later, making the game totally unplayable? That is wrong.

It is theft. Valve should punish devs like this. Meta should punish devs like this. There should be lawsuits. There should be criminal penalties. It is a product / service sold and these devs have voided any warranty for their product. TOS does not change consumer protection law. I enjoyed playing the game though I haven't put much time into it. It's always been on my list of things to hit later, guess I waited too long as the Devs have announced that soon they are terminating the service all together, won't even be able to play singleplayer anymore. Can't recommend a game that won't be around much longer. Can't recommend a dev that would take the money from the game and then shut it down. I'm sure they probably have some legal way that they can do this, but seems like a bad business practice to me.

Phenomenal game. This is what VR combat games should feel like. The game was taken offline but after an outcry from the community, devs brought it back!

100 arena based levels with a variety of enemies and tons of different weapons. The replayability is ridiculous.

I bought this game on the ps4 and loved it. But I only loved it because I saw the potential and I couldn't wait to see what the game turned into. So you could imagine I was upset when they discontinued the game on the PlayStation, without giving out refunds or any sort of compensation. All they pretty much said was "Sorry. But thanks for supporting the game."
So I bought the game on quest and joined their discord to see what the recent updates were and they only added 2 more enemies that you only see on a couple floors and that's really it. That being said, since this is now the finished product, here are the reasons to *NOT* buy this game:

- The devs abandoned it

- There is little-to-no content

- the hit-detection is laughably bad.. like... really bad..

- There are no more updates

- events are stupid, short and give you little reward

- the game is overwhelmingly long as a single session with an underwhelming boss (I beat the game in 5 attempts). And after you beat the game, there's literally nothing to do but to grind the game for no reason, which could take hundreds of hours.

- This game would be too expensive even when it's on sale with the amount of content it actually has

- The multiplayer is unbalanced, as someone level 100 could join a level 3's game and one-shot everything

- The hit-boxes of your items are also horrendous. I died a couple times just because the game wouldn't let me pick up my sword, so instead I was just grabbing all over my body like an idiot until a mini-boss killed me. This happens pretty frequently as well.

- The ranking system in this game is complete garbage. It takes you about an hour to rank up once, and you have to rank up each time you want to spend your money on a small upgrade, which makes this already-excruciatingly-long game even more excruciatingly long for absolutely no reason.

- This game has a ton of abbreviations and such that it uses, but there is no way to look back at what they mean. For example, it allows you to upgrade your "SG", but doesn't tell you what it means when you try to upgrade it. I'm pretty sure it means your enchantment units, but I have no idea what it stands for. It might tell you in the tutorial, but I don't feel like replaying the entire tutorial to understand what a unit stands for. There should be some sort of tips page in game.

There is probably even more that I'm just overlooking, but that sums it up. Just don't get this game. The only redeeming quality that this game added was rag-doll physics; that's it. Bonking enemies across the screen is fun. But it's fun for an hour, not 400.

Movement is pretty bad.
Randomly slowed down for no reason in combat, or a reason the game has explained.
Dodging is handled by holding a button and tilting your body?
head nod didn't work.
would often end up slamming into a wall in game as it would dodge me in wrong direction.
Poor tutorial.
Subtitles off by default, with no VA?
People claimed to have voice acting, I didn't encounter any.

Le multijoueur implique malheureusement pas mal de latences sur certaines actions. On ne peut pas lancer son arme en l'air et l'attraper avec autant de fluidité que Blade & Sorcery, mais sa proposition de Rogue Lite est vraiment cool et ses mécaniques de combat sont assez uniques.

まだあんまりやれてないですが、個人的には以下の点から
”剣戟”についてかなり精巧に作られたゲームかと。
　・相手の攻撃に対してちゃんと武器or防具で受けれる。
　　　→他ゲーだとガードボタン押しながら剣を前に出すだけ、みたいなシステムもあるので。
　・他ゲーだと反応しきってくれない連続攻撃等もスムーズに動いてくれる。
　　　→(運動音痴なので) 片手で秒間3回くらいまでですが、3回ともヒット判定してくれました。
　・武器を逆手で持てる。
　　　→意外とこれができるVRゲー見たことない。おかげで下段防御しやすい。

内容自体は防衛やミッションクリア等、いくつかモードはあるが基本は見た目20～30平方m程度の平らなフィールド内で延々と敵を倒す感じ。
広大なMAPを冒険したり迷宮チックなダンジョンを攻略したい方にはオススメできないかも。
単純に敵を倒してコツコツ強化したい。戦い方をコツコツ研究したい。VR初心者さんの練習に…といった方々にはオススメできるゲームです。

●良いところ。
　・剣戟システムがリアル。武器の重さ以外はかなり本物振ってる気分になれます。
　・難易度が適切。ちゃんと各敵のパターンを研究すればちゃんと倒せる感じ
　・VR酔い対応用の補助がかなり強力に設定できるので、VR初心者の操作練習もいいかも
　　(慣れたら完全に補助OFFも可能。すごい酔うかもだけど)

●悪いところ。(愚痴)
　・ジャンプが出来ない。
　・汗だくになる（ゴーグルのスポンジ洗うの大変）
　・ボイチャする勇気がでない… '・ω；`(致命的

So apparently this company thinks It's acceptable to just up and shut down a whole game out of the blue, one minute its regular ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ updates and next minute It's NOPE Game's getting wiped from the face of the Earth. Honestly It's absurd, they arent even keeping single player, It makes absolutely no sense to me why the hell they're shutting this game down. So yeah, ten out of ten guys, totally gonna look out for your next release, cant wait to enjoy it for a month before you decide to tear it away again.

initial impressions are really not good
the floating menus like to constantly move around, making them difficult to read
the character model seems to want to stand a foot in front of where i actually am, which means a good chunk of my view is blocked by my own character model (restarting the game does not fix this)
when i try to pick up a weapon, often a random weapon will appear in my hand that i don't know where it came from

It is difficult to enter in the early stages of VR, but among the sword battle games, it is the best game to play over and over again.
It is fun to grow and fun to collect event weapons.
One of the best VR games in my library.

However, in my experience, I want you to play using Steam. And if there is no room sensor, it is sometimes frustrating.

The main selling point is the multiplayer co-op (or singleplayer) adventure mode. It has 101 floors and its very fun. There is a lot of things to upgrade too. The gameplay is a little hard to learn at first, and it might be a little clunky at times, but its still a good game if your willing to give it a fair try

DOJOモード100層クリアとある程度アドベンチャーの周回をしたのでレビュー書きます
まず最初にこのゲーム買うか迷ってるやつ、???「俺はソロプレイヤーだ（ｷﾘｯ）」がしたければほかにもあるのでそっち行きましょう、個人的にはソロでも楽しいけどアドベンチャーやるなら苦行だぞ...
逆に協力しながら剣士したいやつ、カッコよく敵の攻撃を捌きたい奴、カッコいい剣使って暴れたい奴は[b] 今すぐ買え、最速で買え、そして剣で暴れろ！ [/b]
では良いとこと悪いとこをいくつか挙げてきますね

[h1] 楽しいパリィと馬鹿力エンチャント [/h1]

敵の攻撃は白→黒→赤→金の順番で素早く、多岐にわたる方法で攻撃してくるんですが、青い光をまとった攻撃以外は[b] 全て [/b]パリィ可能です。パリィした後は隙だらけだからみじん切りにして差し上げろ！
また、もう一つエンチャントというスキルもあり、剣に手を合わせるとフシギ！なんか強そうな光が剣先まで行って火力アップ！スタミナ減少量上昇！耐久力無限！を一定時間発動できます。
このエンチャント、ダメージ計算式が特殊らしく、アドベンチャーモードで海外ニキが10000ダメージだしてるのを見たりしてます、火力が馬鹿げてるぜ！(一般金騎士君が大体500とかそこら辺の体力)
パリィした後の敵には緑の円が発生して、そこをうまく斬るとコンボが始まるんで慣れてくると狙ってみるといいかも

[h1] 武器が豊富、それに合わせた戦闘スタイルも豊富 [/h1]

武器の種類が阿保みたいにあります、パッと思いつくだけでも剣、短い剣、長い剣、レイピア、メイス、斧、刀、両手剣、バット?、ダガー、投げナイフ、盾、ツナ(鮪)←(?)
などなど、なんならイベントの度にライトセーバーとかシミターとかも追加されてきます、多い...
驚くべきはそれぞれ長所、短所、隠し要素があること
剣はほんとにスタンダードな性能してますが、短い剣はエンチャントが早い、武器が軽いので振りやすい。両手剣は両手でぶん回せば火力がもっとも高いですが重いので思ってるよりぶん回せないです。
レイピアは思いっきり突けばダメージが増え、刀は相手の弱点(胸のコアっぽいやつとか)を切ればダメージ増加、ダガーは移動速度が速くなるなどなど...要素がオオイヨー！

[h1] 圧倒的火力と素早さで敵を殲滅できるアドベンチャーモード [/h1]

アドベンチャーモードについても紹介。簡単に言えば101層にいるラスボスのところまでカチコミしていくだけです、探索要素とかなしで闘技場っぽいところで何回も戦う形式ですね。
アドベンチャーではフロアごとに経験値と金と武器が手に入ります。経験値はその週で損失しますが金と武器はその週が終わっても消えることなく、強化に使ったりもう一回持ち込んだりできます。
最大の特徴は二つ、一つ目は武器同士を組み合わせて火力を簡単に上げることができること。最初80ダメージのやつでも強化すれば280ダメージとかにできるので見た目気に入った武器を頑張って強化すれば最強の武器に変貌します。[strike] +10までの強化に45本集めないといけないのは別の話 [/strike]
二つ目は一周ごとにかかるバフで、レベルが上がるときとフロアクリアごとに確率で出るルーレットのときにバフ、デバフがかかります。内容は攻撃力アップ、素早さアップ、体力アップやプレイヤーの攻撃力ダウン、敵の攻撃力アップという単調なものとコンボマーカー火力アップ、エンチャント火力アップ、ステップ機動力アップ、ライフマナ(回復できる緑の球)が出なくなる...などなど様々なバフ、デバフがあります。バフがたくさんかかる90層付近になるとプレイヤー騎士達が高速で走って1000ダメージをぽいぽい出しまくる[strike] やべぇ [/strike]やつらになります、ｺﾜｲ！

[h1] 敵の種類が少ない、近づきすぎると攻撃がまともに入らない [/h1]

敵の種類は2022/1/1時点でチビ騎士、騎士、魔術師、デカ騎士、くノ一(?)、二刀流騎士、猪、ガルガンチュア君。はい、こんだけです、色の違いで性能と攻撃手段変わるだけでこんだけしか種類ないです。それと剣をしっかり振ってダメージを与える使用上、近づきすぎると物理演算とか距離とかが悪さをしてよくて30ダメージ、悪くてポコポコ音鳴らすだけになってしまいます、間合いってホント大事！また、敵も集団で囲んでフルボッコにしてくるのでそうなると容赦なくボコボコにされて乙るパターンもあります、数の暴力大反対...
敵の種類は少ないですが攻撃の種類は意外とあるのでパリィを完璧にするのは至難の業、ソードオブガルガンチュアをするならまずはここから始めてみては？

[h1] 圧倒的海外ニキの多さ [/h1]

ソードオブガルガンチュアは日本ではそこまで有名じゃないのかアドベンチャーで野良とやると8割は海外ニキ、そのうち半分がVCつけてやってます。自分ほんとに英語が苦手で、簡単な「I need heal」とか「Help me!」とかじゃないと理解できないので海外ニキの話すほとんどがわかりません。[strike] 英語勉強しろって？やだね！死んでからするよ！ [/strike]
ただ海外ニキはほんとにノリがいいので英語話せるとすごく楽しいですし、剣を頭上に掲げるだけで合わせてくれる人も多く、拳を出したら突き合わせてくれる人もめっちゃいます。あとレベル高い人が多いので頼りになる！

いいとこ、悪いとこを書いていきましたが敵の種類少なくても意外と面白かったりします。VR特有の自由度があるのでただ斬るだけじゃなくて武器を投げてあてて倒す、なんてこともできますしアニメや漫画の剣技を再現してみるもヨシ、めっちゃちっちゃい投げナイフでパリィチャレンジしてみてもいいし、大剣二刀流なんてロマンあふれる武器構成で挑んだり、ダガーを逆手持ちしてﾆﾝｼﾞｬのマネをするなどいろんな遊び方があるのもこのゲームならではです。

I played this on Valve Index.

The game seemed to run real jittery, I never experienced anything like this in any other VR game. Hard to say what's that about, possible that it was just my machine being not strong enough. Holding a sword was tough, as was trying to unsheathe it. During tutorial I was told to enchant my weapon by placing one hand on the blade, while the sword was in front of my chest - I just couldn't get it to work.

During an introduction fight, whenever I got knocked down, the camera switched to third person. Very disorienting, again, I never saw anything like this. The damage numbers are also very disorienting.

The opening sequence was pretty, and that's about it.

--> This is a warning up front. You can't play the single player mode with out a internet connection. It doesn't say that anywhere on this page. You don't Learn this until you Boot up the game, and It tells you it can't connect. There should be a warning about that on the steam store page. So basically with out internet this game is not playable in any way.

This game just isn't fun for me. Why? The Art style is bland, and It doesn't have a good battle system . The sword Play is very floppy, very finicky. Swords have no weight. You feel like you're just waggling your arms around to kill things. There's no good feedback when you hit enemies. Just a chopping noise instead of a visual feedback. Like a animation where their stumble for a second. There's no spatial sound in the game to let you know were enemies are on screen. There's foot steps yeah , but you can't tell what direction they're coming from. There's no good visual indicators to let you know when enemies are behind you. Hell, actually the HUD is Slightly out of your view...When you get hit hard you basically get knocked out of your body... This is super immersion breaking, and confusing since you can't do anything during this cut scene. Also enemies can keep hitting you before you even get back control. Not saying this shouldn't be used for sickness reasons but there should be more options for people to turn that off.

The Forward and backwards evade forces you to Jerk your body hard enough to make your headset fall off. It could have just been mapped to the stick instead of forcing you to use your body. It could have been, Hold the button, and then press the right stick back or forward. At least give the option. The targeting system makes me sick. It locks your view on the enemy, and the Right stick rotational control get's changed to the Left stick, and becomes "Rotate around enemy." But by doing that your brain get's confused. I never get sick in Vr but this hurt my eyes. The targeting is not even useful because enemies tend to attack you all at once. They circle you, and the targeting is finicky. Also the enemies don't feel like they are even moving with any weight to them. They are very floaty. This feels like a floaty, finicky , messy 3rd person MMO game, retrofitted into being a first person vr game.

「立ってプレイしろ」

座ってプレイすると足を含めた腰のひねりが乏しくなって後半戦に敵味方ともに移動速度が上がっているときに正確なエイムができなくなるおそれがある。また自分の膝が邪魔でコントローラとの衝突を避けるために振り下ろし位置も固定化されがちとなり、それもまた正確なエイムを阻害する。腕の振りも寸足らずとなって威力も出にくくなる。

なんでこんなにしつこく書いているかというとこのゲームで振った武器が当たらないのはとんでもなくストレスになるからだ。

〇良い点
・マルチプレイでは役割分担や補助ができるため戦術に幅ができてとても楽しい。
・内容はシンプルだがその分覚えやすい。
・デザインが非常に良い。敵味方とも個性的で素晴らしいデザインとモーションをしている。
・音楽も良い。盛り上がりを感じられて高揚感がある。
・マルチプレイのマッチングが簡便で参加・集合しやすい。
・味方の蘇生に関するリスクが程よく、助け合いをしやすい。
・一周にかかる運動量が相当量あり、汗だくになるやら全身筋肉痛になるやらで健康的。
・ストーリーも複雑すぎずわかりやすくてよい。アート類も目を引くものがある。

〇悪い点+要望
・マルチプレイ中の仲間の声は常に耳元でするため助けを求める声に対して直観的に反応できない。
・敵の蹴りがすごく不愉快。蹴り動作に対して攻撃を当てたらダウンする要素が欲しい。
・投擲系武器の投擲判定が得られる判定がシビア。腕の投げナイフと統一して欲しい。
・腰へのアイテム格納がしづらい。稀に格納受付をせず腰に張り付くだけのことがある。
・アイテムを拾いにくくて腰のアイテムを取り出してしまう。自分の足で蹴ってしまうなど。
・全ステージ攻略には少々時間がかかりすぎる。50Fで一区切り出来たら助かる。
・後半の敵が固すぎて疲労感が強い。難易度を落としたエクササイズモードで爽快感を味わいたい。
・プレイヤーと敵の色が同系統で判別しづらい。敵はビビッド、味方はアースカラーとで分けてほしい。

a fun take on melee combat in vr like until you fall. really tough memorization roguelike with alot of replayability. it isnt blade and sorcery combat with weight to weapons but guarding and parrying is really important so you cant just flail. give it a shot.

I have not played this game much. The devs are really cool and I am glad its there for the people who enjoy it. However, people give this game a pass on physics that I just can't get behind. There are single dev VR Melee games that rival B&S in physics. I am not saying its easy to do. I am saying I can not play a VR Melee game where my sword feels like a feather and enemy's are damage sponges that do not react to my hits. Games like Hellsplit, and Tales of Glory, even Sairento have ruined VR combat with no weight. If you think you will enjoy playing a game where you slowly level up against MMO like enemys in single room combat with no exploration, you might like this.

TA2リリースによりアドベンチャーモードに大幅改修が加わり、アプデ前環境と比較しては敵の質、量、配置など全体的に難易度が向上しましたが、これは個人的にはかなり「ちょうどよくなった」と感じます。

旧環境のアドベンチャーでは武器やアビリティの強化を進めていくと、最終的にはソロかつ終盤ステージでも難易度が緩く感じられるほどに、プレイヤー側の攻撃能力が高くなっていました。

そのためマルチでガチ装備の高ランカーが複数人集まったときにはその何人かがたやすく敵を全滅させ、他のメンバーは暇で終わるというようなアンバランスな状態になってしまうことも珍しくありませんでした。

TA2のマルチでは敵の同時スポーン体数が目に見えて増え、「強化水準の高いプレイヤーが湧いたそばから敵を潰して他プレイヤーのやることがなくなる」ような状況が少なくなりました。

また新規追加となる金タンクやクノイチはモーション面でも厄介さのある敵であり、盾以外ではガー不となるチャージ攻撃やそもそも反応しにくいフェイントやディレイを多用してくるので、そのあたりもきっちり「無策で高威力の武器を振り回せばゴリ押せる」ような相手ではなくなっています。

また通常の攻撃が届かない高所にスナイパーが出現するようにもなり、これにより武器投擲攻撃が高い実用性を持ったアクションとして改めて位置付けられる形となりました。

総じてよりテクニカルな戦いを楽しめるゲームバランスとなり、旧環境からのプレイヤーとしては大いに満足のいくアップデートでした。

ただガルガンチュア戦の難易度についてはTA2リリース以前と変化なく、ここも金ソルジャーの人数増やすとかいっそ金タンクを追加投入するとかで難易度上げてくれればさらに緊張感が味わえるかなと思ったところです。

left hand on the index requires steel-crushing force to interact with any item, making dual-wielding or holding two-handed weapons impossible. all enemies are incredibly tanky. parrying does not function in multiplayer.

I'm going to say right now, this game expects you to be staying in the exact same place for the entirety of playing it. It is designed from the ground up for you to not be moving while playing, and having a room scale setup rather than just a stationary or seated one is only a disadvantage. For someone used to playing room scale games, trying to make this one cooperate is just painful. As someone who prefers to actually turn myself instead of rotate the camera with the stick, and who tends to drift from the center of my playspace while playing, it is hardly playable. For some reason, the game places your body directly beneath where the headset is when starting the game, Drift an inch away from where you started? Welp, guess what, you're doing limbo now. Try to look to the side yourself instead of rotating with the stick? Your body won't rotate with you, that's for sure. Sure, there is potential. But unless it's updated to allow room scale setups to function properly, that potential goes unused unless you are sitting in your chair.

VR гриндилка.

За три часа игры насчитал четыре разных типа врагов ( и их же "элитные" версии )
Плюс "Мини босс" ( бугай с банками на спине ).

До основного босса так и не дошел ( гриндилка же ).
Надеюсь, он отличается от других противников и не является "элитной" версией "Мини босса".

Механика игры мне не понравилась, и местами казалась поломанной ( на примере попыток блокирования/парирования ударов ).
Хотя лупануть по мобчику с двуручки бывало и приятно. Главное не зацепить стену в невиртуальной реальности.

Swords of Gargantua is finnicky, weird, and altogether not super fun. The blocking system is awkward and rarely well-telegrpahed, the head tracking is inaccurate and strange, the inventory system is very strugglesome and super finnicky about where you put your weapons when you want to sheathe them, and it altogether just doesn't flow well. I often felt like I was awkwardly flailing at the enemy rather than hitting them with my sword, and the weapons have a pretty weak sense of weight. If you want a fun swordfighting rogue-like, I highly recommend Until You Fall instead.
