I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Не очень понимаю зачем было менять жанр игры, первая часть очень понравилась
Раньше я не мог понять почему эта игра получила "смешанные" отзывы . Когда я прошёл Super trench attack (2014) я ещё больше недоумевал : как продолжение такой классной игры могло не понравится половине игроков ? А теперь (после прохождения обучения и первой миссии Super trench attack-2 (2015) всё стало чётко и ясно . Проблема в том что это не продолжение первой части , ни по сюжету , ни по жанру . Тут нет Вайли и Бадди , и эта игра не является клоном Diablo-2 (2000) как была первая . Это клон тактики Herores of might and magic (серии которую я очень сильно не люблю) . Тут вы не сможете браво бегать туда-сюда , попутно стреляя немцев , тут Ада (главная героиня) делает четыре-пять шагов по карте , потом ждёт 2 минуты пока её ходы перезарядятся. За эти две минуты любой враг может спокойно подойти на расстояние выстрела и выпустить в неё пару очередей . Игра очень нудная , затянутая и скучная . Рефанд всё же делать не буду (из уважения и благодарности к разработчику за первую часть . и оттого что эту купил за 16 гривен на распродаже) .
Игру могу рекомендовать лишь фанатам пошаговых тактик (правда они могут найти много чего покруче) , но никак не тем кому понравилась Super trench attack (2014) .
Мало того : каждый раз ты начинаешь на новой карте с новыми условиями (да здравствует процедурная генерация !)

Wer den ersten Teil von Trench Attack gespielt hat, sollte diesen Teil lieber liegen lassen, denn er hat nichts mehr mit dem ersten Teil gemeinsam. Hatte der erste Teil noch eine Story, fehlt diese bei hier gänzlich. Eigentlich ist man nur mit einem von vier Damen hinter feindlichen Linien unterwegs und versucht sich durch mehrere Areale in Richtung Heimat vorzukämpfen. Dabei kann man in "Shops" Kämpfer, Nahrung und Ausrüstung kaufen die einem das Leben auf dem Schlachtfeld erleichtern. Im Prinzip sind die runden basierten Kämpfe nicht schlecht, werden aber ebenso schnell auch monoton, da man immer wieder auf die gleichen Einheiten trifft, wenn man weiß wie man diese Einheiten am besten bekämpft, dann ist das auch nicht mehr aufregend. Für zwischendurch ganz nett,...mehr aber auch nicht.

Los combates estan bien, pero lo demas ya no me gusto tanto.
Despues de completar un mapa estaria bien que te curaras todo. Esta bien que entre combates del mismo mapa no te cures. Pero despues de los jefes?
Lo de las raciones me parecen, inesesarias.
Y las coberturas funcionan raro, porque no te mueves en casillas como en un xcom.
Pero en general esta bien, sigue teniendo el humor tonto de la primera parte.
Rundenbasiertes Squad Game, mit lustigen random Events, ab einer bestimmten Stelle aber auch echt schwer. Bei mir hat das Spiel ab dem dritten Bereich leider immer einen Gamebreaking-Bug. Sobald ich ab dem dritten Bereich (oder später) eine neue Einheit anheuere habe ich im nächsten Pre-Fight Screen keine Einheiten mehr die ich auswählen kann :/

Во время путешествия будут мини-игры, которые разбавят невыносимую сложность бытия. если вам нечем заняться, то вам подойдёт этот продукт(особенно для идеальной игры).

Игры Retro Army Limited обладают особым шармом. Они криво нарисованы и сделаны так словно это одна большая шутка, но игровой дизайн при это всегда на высоте.
Я прошёл STA2 полностью и именно с этой игры начал своё знакомство с другими проектами компании. STA2 это отличное тактическое приключение к элементами рогалика. Здесь вы будете распределять ресурсы и бороться за жизнь каждого солдата, жизнь которого может оборваться от одного лишь не верного тактического решения. Ко всему этому нужно добавить ворох отличных визуальных шуток и весёлых мини игр под хорошо дополняющую действия музыку.

I actually like this more than the first game in the series. I think the reduced gameplay mechanics did a good to it. So that it's far more playable and enjoyable. Still you get the same great retro pixel graphics and sounds throughout the game as you would expect after playing the first one. The story mode is great fun too and the humour is quite hilarious.
For me this game is totally worth recommending, be it at a somewhat reduced price or pretty decent discount though.

Дать ей "S.T.A.2" в название было большой ошибкой, ведь в игре нет ничего общего, кроме стиля рисовки, с оригиналом. Top-down шутер с сюжетом и юмором превратился в чистейший бессюжетный рогалик, который стал ещё пошаговым (в доисторическом стиле через карту). Я даже затрудняюсь провести аналогию.
В ней мало контента, в ней мало разнообразия, в ней плохой менеджмент, но в ней живёт нечто забавное, какая-то недосказанность делает её симпатичной.

eu passaria menos raiva jogando Dark Souls 3 em uma dificuldade absurda do que jogando esse jogo, o jogo rouba demais, num nivel absurdo, com 90% de chance de acerto, o sniper erra, sendo que o sniper era pra ser a unidade com a maior precisão no jogo todo, e isso vale para todas as unidades do jogo, exceto os inimigos, por que eles vão te acerta em cover, fora do cover, no cloak, de qualquer forma, eles vão te acerta, e se os bots comessarem a sentir pena de vc, eles vão errar uns 2 ou 3 tiros, mas depois, eles volta a estupra o seu time, eu queria que as unidades pudessem retaliar quando estivessem sob fogo, eu queria que os snipers pudessem dar cobertura para outras unidades, e eu queria que não tivesse a unidade de morteiro, pq n é assim que um morteiro funciona, mas ok, é um jogo, então eu acho q ta legal eu nunca mais joga esse jogo depois de passar tamanha frustração.

After being pleasantly surprised by the first game, the 2nd one is a total disappointment!
Strategy game where the enemies have and are making more moves than you which makes you incapable of advancing further than the first level. You simply die because the enemy attacks you twice or trice while you can attack only once WTF? The AI has the same health and damage as you. I'm not sure if this game isn't just one giant troll.

This is a lot different then the first one. Part 2 changes the whole game. This time its a time based strategy game. The game is still fun, and you must also recruit members for your team.

1. Самый главный, это тот, что игра не сбалансирована по сложности. Разрабы, вы офигели такую сложную игру делать? Вы сами в свою игру играли? Почему я должен сливаться на первом секторе, только потому, что мои противники ВСЕГДА сильнее меня и в большем количестве? Где баланс? Э! Деньги, еда капает по чуть-чуть, а мой отряд требует гораздо больше вливаний, чтоб норм себя чувствовать в боях. Мои члены отряда постоянно мажут, чуть ли не в притык, тогда как враги часто ваншотят.
2. Графа слишком уж простая.
3. Звуки слишком примитивные.
В общем, мое мнение, игру надо удалить из магазина, так как она не сбалансирована по сложности и от нее у игроков будет гореть.
Играйте только те, кто любит сложные челенджи. Я же играю в игры, чтоб раслабиться, а не чтобы у меня горело.
"Super Trench Attack 2" ist ein isometrischer Taktik-Shooter.
Der erste Teil war unterhaltsam, mit einfachem aber gutem Gameplay, stilsicherer Comicgrafik und einem satirischen Humor.
Der zweite Teil behält zwar mit seinem Comic-Retro-Look die grundlegende Stilrichtung bei, macht aber ansonsten so ziemlich alles anders und scheitert damit auf ganzer Linie.
Denn der Taktik-Einschlag bedeutet zunächst, daß man auf einer generisch generierten Karte von Punkt zu Punkt klicken darf, um an den Endpunkt zu gelangen. An den meisten Punkten passiert eh nichts oder nichts relevantes, an einigen warten Gegner auf einen. Und da beginnt das ganze Elend. Denn scheinbar befinden wir uns in einem richtigen Shooter, wir können unsere Spielfiguren (es sind mehrere, denn wir kommandieren gleich einen ganzen Trupp) zunächst wie in einem isometrischen Shooter bewegen. Zunächst. Bis uns auffällt, daß wir eine Art Aktionsleiste besitzen. Ist diese aufgebraucht können wir uns nicht mehr bewegen. Und sie ist schnell aufgebraucht.
Der Gedanke eines Taktikshooters ist an sich sicher nicht der schlechteste, aber dann sollte man doch entweder mit Feldern arbeiten oder eine Engine verwenden, bei der man nicht an jeder Ecke hängenbleibt oder bei der es unklar bleibt, wo Objekte in der Umgebung eigentlich ihre Hitboxen haben.
Völlig unverständlich, warum die Entwickler durch den prozeduralen Aufbau die größte Stärke des Vorgängers fast komplett über Bord werfen: den Humor. Was noch an Witz übrig bleibt, schafft es nicht die Monitorrampe zu überwinden.
Also bleibt das Gameplay, das auch völlig unbefriedigend, teils kryptisch und unnötig kompliziert ausfällt. Spaß macht das so ziemlich überhaupt keinen und zwar weder für Casual-Spieler, die den ersten Teil mochten noch für Taktikfüchse, die bei diesem wirren Game-Design viel zu viele Unwägbarkeiten vorgesetzt bekommen.
Und so wurde leider schon mit dem zweiten Teil eine vielversprechende Serie direkt gegen die Wand gefahren.

그냥 게임 배경 설명해 주고는 끝부분 까지 버텨서 가면 끝인 걸로 봅니다.

그냥 전쟁이 끝났다는 수준의 글과 폭죽터지는 배경뿐입니다.
그리고 결정적으로 엔딩부분은 전작보다 더 후졌습니다.[/h1]
그러므로 확실한 스토리 라인을 파악하기가 어렵습니다.
그냥 블랙 아미한테 쫓기는 수준..?
그리고 그린 아미들은 어떡게 됐나 싶기도 하고..
게임 자체가 아예 턴 베이스로 바뀌어 버렸고,
매번 한 장소를 지나갈때마다, 조사, 교전으로 나누
어 집니다.
시작전에 ADA의 레이아웃이 몇개 있는데
게임을 많이 할 수록 해금이 되기도 합니다.
첫 난이도를 깨면 또 다른 캐릭터로 할 수 있습니다.
2번째거는 Marie라고 기관사수1명이 나올겁니다.
[spoiler]전 개인적으로 2,3번째거 추천합니다.
2번은 기관수 2명에 돈과 식량이 좀 적고
3번은 여자 1명밖에 없지만 돈이 좀 넉넉하기도 해서.[/spoiler]
난이도는 4종류로 나뉘어져 있는데, 그 난이도는 식량소비량과
얻는 돈만 바뀔분 적들의 난이도가 바뀌지 않습니다.
물론 시작전에 난이도도 있습니다.
트레이닝, 하드 등등...
시작 전 갈 수 있는 루트가 각각 랜덤으로 짜지어 지는데
먼저 상점에 들어가면 일단 자기 캐릭터 상태를 볼 수 없습니다.
자기 캐릭터에 맞는 무기팩을 살려면 확인을 해야 하는데, 자기 분대는 확인 할 수 없습니다.
다만, Medic라인에서 상처를 입을 시에는 확인이 가능합니다.
그리고 각 캐릭터마다 사용했던 렙 낮은 무기들은 팔지도 못하고 그대로 보존해야 합니다.
이게 좀 문제가 있다 싶은점이 있는데
예를 들어 렙 7짜리 아다(소위이자 주인공)한테 이미 5렙짜리 무기팩을 쥐어졌습니다.
그러던중에 상점에 들러 6랩짜리 무기팩을 쥐어 주고는, 교전 상태에서 바로 7랩이 되었습니다.
그러면 적들한테 뒤치지 않을려면 또 무기팩을 사야하는데, 이 얼마나 돈낭비인지...
더불어 분대원들을 사면, 쫓아내거나 없앨 수가 없는데
이 또 얼마나 식량낭비인지....
[spoiler]심지어 막판에 분대원 레벨 오르는거 대비할려고 1~2랩 높은거 사놨는데
다 죽어서 더이상 쓸모가 없어졌습니다.[/spoiler]
아마 제 생각에는 랩이 한 3렙쯤 되면, 미리 4렙 짜리나 2렙짜리 무기팩을 쥐어주시고,
상황에 따라서 사주는게 현명할 듯 합니다.
그리고 또 조사하는 라인과 교전라인이 대부분이라고 얘기 했는데,
가급적이면 조사는 많이 않하시는게 좋습니다.
대부분 분대나 아군에게 피해가 주는 이벤트가 대부분이고
[strike]뭐 이벤트 내용도 재미없지만.[/strike]
도박꾼과 폭탄꾼[1번째 스크린샷]이 대부분입니다.
이 문제가 처음에는 재밌게 당해서 그럴싸한데
나중에 후반부에 갈 수록 시속 100km/h짜리 샷건을 치게 되는 일이
발생하기도 합니다.
심하면 이벤트로 인해 게임오버가 되거나...
이벤트 내용을 조금 얘기해주면,
여자가 근처에서 씻고 있는데 아군을 보내면 데미지가 입고
염소있는데 아군을 보내면 염소한테 맞아 데미지가 입고
맛있어 보이는 버섯이 있는데 아군을 보내면 체력이 회복하고 등등.

아군이 까먹고 포복을 안했다는지
아군이 방귀를 껴서 적군이 그냄새를 맞았다는지
휘바람을 너무 크게 불어서 적들이 파악했다는지
아무튼 여러 이유로 적군하고 반 강제교전을 해야하는 경우가 대부분입니다.
아 폭탄꾼은 15골드에 60식량을 사라 하는데, 꽤 이득입니다.
상점에서 보통 10골드에 30식량, 20골드에 60식량 정도 하는데
이 친구한테 사면 절약이 실천되니 명심하시기 바랍니다.
자주 "!"가 뜰 때가 있는데 이 "!"는 원래 순찰병들이나 밴딧들이 나오는게 대부분이지만 마법사가 나오기도 합니다.
이 마법사한테 돈을 주면(한 33골드정도?[strike]디럽게 X먹네[/strike])분대전체를 치료 할 수 있는데 문제는 이것도
확률이 있어서 그 마법사가 먹튀할 가능성이 있다는 것입니다.

자 이제 게임안을 보면, 사냥이벤트와 교전이 있습니다.

식량을 조금이나마 확보 할 수 있기 때문에 게임에서 식량걱정 안할려면 무조건 해두셔야 합니다.
덕분에 게임할때 즐거움 보다는 진지함, 답답,짜증남이 같이 뭍어나오기도 합니다.

먼저 맵은 넓습니다. 충분히 적들이랑 싸우기 충분한 공간입니다.
그런데 문제는, 이 게임을 턴베이스로 만들어야 했냐는 문제입니다.
적들이랑 아군둘다 이동(스카웃기준)하는 량이 거의 맵의 대각선량수준으로,
1턴에 금방 만나서 후딱 치워 버릴 수도 있습니다.
[spoiler]아 이동 과정에 맵을 잘 보셔야 하는데 중간에 적들한테 한방맞을 수 있습니다.
특히 개가 자주 나오는데 개가 캐릭터 앞에 있을때는 이동하지 마시고, 방아쉬를 당겨주세요.[/spoiler]

등등 여러가지 복잡한 이유등으로 인해 결국 이게임은 복합적인 평가를 받게 되었습니다.
하지만 더 세련된 픽셀퀄리티에 이제는 투맨 아미보다는 4~5명의 분대(마지막 Exit라인에서는 5명가능)
를 이끌면서 나아가고, 오랜만인 놈들(폭탄꾼같은놈들.)도 만나 나름 재밌었습니다.
게임성이 정말 아쉽지만, 그래도 나름 잘 만들었고 이런평가를 받을 만하다고 생각됩니다.

Super Trench Attack 2 is a game developed and published by Retro Army Limited and is the sequel to Super Trench Attack!
It is an open world goofy action and adventure game. The game plays as an isometric game rather than overhead like seen in traditional RPG games and there are also these cool first person shooting gallery type stages that are a lot of fun
The controls do take a minute to getting used to but after a while you get used to them
I have played both Super Trench Attack! and also Super Trench Attack 2 and I gotta say that there is huge differences between the first game and the second game and although I found the sequel to be confusing at first, it's not a bad game to play for a couple of hours

Увидев название, сразу купил. Запустил, ... в общем ожидал геймплей 1й игры. Переделано все полностью. Юмора стало в разы меньше. Если первая часть походила на РПГ, то вторая - смесь JPRG и пошаговой стратегии. Гумно, конечно. Но. Подобный игр сейчас просто не делают, позалипать можно. И да, бессейвовое прохождение прибвляет хардкорности. Неоднозначно, но рекомендую.
Wow. Retro Army really went off the rails with this one. Gameplay is nothing at all like Super Tranch Attack. I can appreciate the need to innovate, but this one just didn't work for me. Turn-based tactics aren't very fun when you have to scroll constantly around the map and/or bring up the minimap. Not sure what they were thinking at all.
Поначалу показалось приемлемо, несмотря на примитивную графику и отвратительный вырвиглазный шрифт (я понимаю слово "стилизация" но не в ущерб удобству). Но уже вскоре выпало случайное событие с дурацкой стрельбой по уткам за еду (а это один из важнейших ресурсов в игре). QTE в пошаговых стратегиях я ненавижу до глубины души. Это не развлечение, а издевательство над игроком, желающим спокойной и вдумчивой игры.
Хотя своеобразный стиль в игре есть и, наверное, положительные отзывы тоже обоснованы. Но моё мнение такое: или походовка "a la шахматы", или стрельба по уточкам, но никак не то и другое вперемешку.
По совокупности, запросил возврат средств. Хоть и брал игру по скидке, но зачем платить за то, во что не буду играть?

Yeah cant say i liked how they changed the game. The first game had lots of humor and a story to follow, it made the game enjoyable. This game lacks the luster of the first, My problems with it are three things, First the game play lacks the versatility of tactical options offered in good strategy games. Second the story is very lacking and empty, this leaves a why am i playing this feeling even when you beat the game. Third.... Gameplay, while the game isnt to hard to beat, the game play is fustrating to put it nicely. The first game held a great deal of fun to it being a top down shotter and it allowed for the player to seek out secrets and rewarded the effort. While this game has its own secrets to it i wont be wasting the time with them. A suggestion for the developers, Stick to what you did well. The first game was by far more fun and enjoyable.

Pros- Cheap. Good for a laugh before the novelty wears off.
Cons - Everything once the novelty wears off in about 20 minutes.
Basic plot of the game, ripped directly from FTL.
So, you have the "GET ITEM, BASE ENTIRE GAME ON RUNNING FROM ENEMY, THEN FOR THE FINAL LEVEL, YOU TURN AROUND AND FIGHT AFTER GEARING UP FOR RUNNING THE ENTIRE GAME".
It was not fun then, it's not fun now. In fact, it's even more annoying. I did not like that part about FTL. If you didn't read a guide or were playing blind, it's suddenly a massive fight at the end of the game. A game you spent the majority avoiding combat, building up your crew and not wasting time. Now you're up against THE STRONGEST ENEMY IN THE GAME because apparently , none of the other ships that are vastly superior to yours can do a damn thing about it.
But upon knowing this information, FTL's difficulty of getting through sectors in one piece suddenly vanishes when you know that all your speed is worthless and you need massive firepower for the final fight.
But this isn't about FTL, this is about STA2.
Excessive overabundance of Negative Events - Then the onslaught of negative events is impressive, even for this type of game. Even FTL had sectors that were positive event locations. This? Using the Investigate Option most of the time leads you to take an unruly amount of damage. I could count in my previous games the amount of times I actually managed to "SNEAK PAST" but " x decided to , Fart, Whistle, Stepped on a Twig, Forget to Sneak" gets tired after a while.
Length - Did they really have to make it as long as an FTL run?
Lack of actual control over the game - Lack of ability to actually deploy your units in your own formation, so every battle is a LOL SUPRISE! - HAH HAH HAH HAHA. SO FUN AND CHALLENGING. MY WEAKEST UNIT SURROUNDED BY MACHINEGUNNERS AND DOGS ON A LEVEL WITH NO SHOP, GUESS HE GETS WOUNDED UNTIL THE NEXT AREA.
What I don't understand is why is it random anyway? In the instances you actually do manage to ambush an enemy or choose to enter combat willings, which is rare enough ; Shouldn't you be able to choose where your people are positioned? Not go into battle and find your mortar unit surrounded by Scouts, halfway across the map where no help can each him in time.
Because any of the LOL RANDUM xD healing events either heal for the lowest amount possible or backfire in extreme ways.
Speaking of which.
Inability to heal properly - Wow. The game is designed to be as annoying as possible. Between Hunting Spots not spawning, the Useless Insane Magican never working and sectors without shops period, food being unable to heal the wounded severely cripples you if you say used investigate and lost massive amounts of health or got into a fight where all your useful units were on the wrong side of the map while your weaker ones were polishing enemy guns with their hair.
then there;'s combat in general.
The game loves to deploy either your best unit as far away as possible or your weakest unit either right next to a unit that will slaughter them if they attempt to move OR surrounded by dogs and or snipers and the rest of the units are just far enough that they won't make it in three actions.
Having this happen once or twice, sure but when it's 80% of the game. Not fun.
Another issue with combat is that some of the time, enemies not facing your character can fire an interception shot at them. Again, once or twice , it's a fluke, when it happens the majority of the game it's annoying to bring about a character who is totally blindsiding an target, only for that target to turn around and take a shot.
What was the point of line of sight then?
I am also puzzled by the Advanced Wars CO powers. It would be nice to get an ingame guide or a little wording to tell you what it the powers do. Not just subject a person to the laughable scrolling character then the enemies taking damage.
Oh and Steam Cloud Sync only broke my game. Nearly completed a hard run as Marie on my Laptop. Synced it with my main computer. Beat the game, game crashes during credits, unlocked nothing. Not even Marie Stars. So, 3 hours played while I was on vacation lost and they didn't even appear on my account. Oh well.
El juego es bueno y entretiene solo que no es como su antecesor ahora es tactico y no a todos les gustan los juegos asi lo unico malo que le veo es que llegado a un momento de la historia te quedas sin raciones y comienzan tus tropas a morir de hambre y perder HP cada movimiento y es ESTRESANTE tener que luchar con 20 HP o menos y que un solo disparo te mate xq cada soldado consume 5 raciones por dia y tenemos 4 soldados podiendo tener aun mas y perdemos un total de hasta 30 raciones por dia y en la tienda a lo mucho venden 40 raciones osea siempre te quedaras sin raciones aunque juegues y enfrentes pocos enemigos llegado cierto punto el juego se vuelve estresante y quieres dejar de jugarlo no es por tu culpa sino el juego tiene ese error de que no importa cuanto avances siempre te vas a quedar sin raciones y si comprar varios soldados sera aun peor deberian haber mas tiendas y que tengan mas alimentos para ver si asi alcanza porque no se puede jugar con todo tu equipo con 20 HP o menos aun asi lo recomiendo un muy buen juego lastima esos pequeños fallos

As a fan of Retro Army Limited I'd love to say they've made a fantastic job with making the sequel! The casino guy is back, but this time, he's cheating more I guess xD
Anyways, their attempt to make a turn based strategy game looks interesting, I really liked the concept and gameplay. It's really worth it! 11/10, nice sequel Retro Army!
I want to say this is like a Super Gameboy version of FTL meets Valkyria Chronicles but the execution falls way short of that. The game has a map system with your squad contantly fleeing enemy pursuit, much like FTL, and it has a kind of combination real-time and turn-based combat , much like Valkyria Chronicles, but it's rather shallow and unrewarding.
In FTL you want to hit many nodes because you never know what reward you might walk away with. Here, though, random "do the risky thing or leave" choices are never really worth the risk and combat only rewards you meger gold that you're going to need to patch yourself up after the fight so you basically just make a bee-line for the exit using the shortest route possible..
The combat is the most disappointing, though. Much like Valkyria Chronicles, if you get close to enemies they automatically fire at you on your turn but during enemy turns your units never fire back at the enemies and they HURT. When 1 shot can put your guy down, you basically can't let the enemy have a single turn or you get wiped.
Overall, it's not a terrible game. It just falls way, way short of it's potential. I'd rate it neutral if I could but since there's nothing really stand-out about the gameplay and I have to go with "yes" or "no", I'm going to have to lean toward "no", sadly.

Тут вы обнаруживаете... нет не отсутствие сейва в игре, а то что он позволяет только продолжить игру с места на котором вы остановились, а если вы проиграли то с этого места вы и начнёте, т.е. с начала.

My initial reaction to the game was of utmost exasperation. I spent a couple of hours trying to get a grip on this sequel to what was an excellent game in my opinion. But my early hours not providing any dividends, I decided to call it quits. And so I let this game rest in my library for a very long while. But then I decided to give it another try because of the love I had for its prequel.
I won't lie to you, this game is very different from Super Trench Attack, but once you spend some time playing it, you will realise that it is a fun game to play in its own respect. Sure this game needs some changes, but it wouldn't have been as fun had it been perfect. People can still expect the humour that was to be found in the first one. And for those who love the turn-based gameplay, this game can be an option.
Do I recommend it as much as I do the first one, probably not. But that doesn't mean people shouldn't get it. Wait for the sale and if you have a few pennies lying around, look this game up.
I'd say a high 7 out of 10.

Also, this game is like so lame and ♥♥♥♥ so...yeah...
Set several years after the first one, there isn't as much story this time though. Just straight into the fighting after a first time game start up tutorial.
same combat system as the first one, except its now in a Valkyria Chronicles style fighting.
You take turns with the enemy. Each turn you get several unit movements to attack,defend,move etc within their movement radius.
it is a lot of luck and random generation for this one though. as each playthrough is never the same.

grenades don't really go where you want them, since they always throw at a set distance away.

STA 1 was a good game, it has some silly dialogues and it was nice to go shooting with the non sense mission. But this is a Turn-Based Strategy game which gets too repetitive, same type of shooting but without an overall mission. It might be the fact also that its hard to beat the game as it is, so it just got boring.
While it lacks the run and gun gameplay and humor of Super Trench Attack 1, 2 is damn enjoyable in a somewhat masochistic sense. There's a real sense of urgency and danger in both food manangement, and combat. Definitely worth picking up, but perhaps on sale if you prefered the first game.
*Personally I don't understand why this is a continuation of the previous game which was a story driven comedic and very fun game to play.
*it seems the difficulty curve in this game is similar be it that on every enemy turn your squad can easily get wiped due to the lack in turns in which your given 4 per round if your lucky you can manage 2 kills per turn with your heavy units(after which they can't defend).
*also they need to add a feature where you can dismiss troops so during the late game your troops don't starve to death considering the least you can feem them is 4 per ...*circle or dot on map*...
In conclusion this game should have been release as game with in the same story but not a continuation because the games don't have many similarities other then art style and really good music. (Though as an RTS it has a 2d Xcom vibe with an ftl like layout ad gameplay)

并不是每回合所有人一次行动的，而是敌我双方开始回合后可进行几次指令的模式
也就是说基本上输出就那么一两个人员其他都是替补和火力分散用的
从后方或侧面考近敌人单位后打脑袋，游戏诡异的机制导致双方都在互秒
如果无法一回合全灭扎堆的敌人就把队员全分到地图的4个角落，然后蹲下防守
敌方有时会想不清要控制哪个单位，然后就每个敌兵都轮流乱跑一遍
没心情深入研究了，以后有好好玩再写吧

我用英语写这篇测评是因为我看到开发者有在认真关注他们的测评，所以想友善的提醒一下。。
I would not recommand this game to my friends, especially comaring to STA1's massive success. I would like to spend 20 more hours for STA1 though it's not perfect. But for this one I would only play it for less than hour, then take the card and go away.
It is a totally different game comparing with STA1. I can see many games in it, Oregon Trail, Valkyrie Chronicles, and Advanced War. But the problem is, it is NOT FUN anymore, and not free anymore. STA1 makes you feel like playing Skyrim WWI. You can go wherever you want, take down enemies to make some money and get lootings, complete missions, go find hidden places on the map, etc. But in STA2 you can only march in fixed routes which I dont even know what's the scenery is like, it's just lines, dots, lines, dots. NOT FUN.
The character doesn't speak funny anymore. In STA1 the guy makes joke once he get an opportunity, some may stupid but basiclly it's really humorous. STA2 has cut a lot on this one. NOT FUN.
I have no problem with turn based fight, Valkyrie Chronicles is a good game too, but the difficulty should be in a step shape. I play this game with characters in 60HP and 20 Atk, then I ran across enemies with 400HP and 50 Atk, then it's GAME OVER. I mean, what the H***? The set of the character is useless, if you cannot finish the fight in 1st round then the characters would be badly wounded, and it would take a century to recover. The travelling could help you heal---like you need to take a travel to China. This is unplayable. NOT FUN.
The game itself may not be that bad, I mean not "BAD" bad. I can give like 6/10, but I refuse to recommand it cuz STA1 is a really funny game, I love STA1 and I dont want it get ruined. It's just a kind reminder to developers, cuz I think they care. The developer should think about what cause over 90% support on 1st version. The game should make players relax and have fun, not to tortue them with simple, boring digital journey.

比起1代来，2代的游戏完全转换了模式。可以看到开发者在试图创新，我看到了很多游戏的影子，比如俄勒冈旅程，战场女武神和GBA高级战争，但是游戏本身的趣味性被打了大折扣。1代的自由度很高，你可以去刷兵拿钱，可以清支线地堡，可以做主线任务，可以探究地图上的秘密地点，有那么一点一战天际省的感觉，二代的自由度完全丧失了，你只能沿着固定的路线行军，直接进入战斗场景。
1代很有趣的一点是主角讲话各种逗，虽然有的笑话蠢了点，但总体上营造了一种幽默的氛围。2代主角实在是缺乏幽默感，如果我要玩严肃的战争游戏我就去拉大栓了。
我对回合制战斗没啥偏见，毕竟当年也是在PSP上玩女武神玩的昏天黑地的小青年。但是游戏设定很渣。我带着一帮60血20攻的菜鸡兵在第五个点就遇上了一波400血50攻的精英敌军，立即Game Over，我去你怎么不再开台Sdkfz222来呢。人物的血量跟没有一样，战略设计就是渣渣，你要是不能在第一回合干翻所有人你就会被最垃圾的敌人打成重残，然后每旅行一次回五六点血。。。回满血我估计你得跑到莫斯科去。
游戏其实并没有那么渣，开发者是费了功夫用心在做的。我想我可以打6/10，但我依然不推荐这款游戏。游戏的本质目的是让玩家Have Fun，但这款游戏我认为没有做到这一点。
Let's just be honest here and say out loud what this game is - it is a simplified version of FTL. Mixed with humour from the first game. The one things that is different from FTL is that the combat engine is not from FTL but it's sub-par in flow and 'fun' so enough about that...
First game was a surprisingly good action game. I'd still recommend getting it any day. But this FTL clone or 'strategy game' is not something i would recommend. Everything about it is sub-par and not even the funny things are enough to carry it through to the next level.
Get the first game, forget this 'experiment' by the dev. It was a nice try but it falls flat.

Alor, pourquoi je recommande ce jeux ? premierement il peut atteindre un prix tres faible en promotion, du coup on est difficilement deçu. L'humour du jeux ne vole pas haut mais arrive quand meme a m'arracher un sourire de temps en temps.
Le jeux semble etre un mix entre FTL et valkyria chronicle : vous ete sur une carte avec des "point d'interet", vous vous deplacer de point en point, parfois des bataille se lance, parfois un evenement au debouchée aleatoire et parfois rien ne se passe, certain point sont des magasin et finalement le point final qui sert a passer a une autre zone, un ecran de selection des zone apparait et nous permet de choisir notre itineraire pour atteindre notre but. Si vous avez jouer a FTL vous savez exactement quoi imaginer. Le carburant de FTL est ici remplacer par de la nourriture, consommée par chaque menbre de votre ascouade et a chaque mouvement, en fonction de la quantitée de rationnement la nourriture diminue + ou - vite et il en vas de meme pour la regeneration de vos soldat a chaque mouvement ( de base chaque soldat consomme 5 point de nourriture et regenere 5% de vie).
Les combat se deroule comme valkyrie chronicle : le combat commence sur la carte du champ de bataille, la vous selectionner un de vos soldat pour pouvoir le controler : le deplacement et tirer, vous avez une jauge de deplacement et vous pouvez vous deplacer apres avoir tirer. d'autre action peuvent se faire a la place de tirer comme le tres utile kit de soin qui peut etre utiliser une fois par bataille ( si vos soldat en sont equiper bien sur), les unitées que vous placer en defense pourront tirer sur les ennemis qui se deplace dans leur champ de tir. en tuant des ennemis vos soldat gagnent de l'xp et des niveau, en montant de niveaux ils peuvent utiliser des pack d'equipement de plus haut niveaux et donc devenir plus puissant et solide. Un scout ne peut equiper qu'un pack d'equipement de scout, les pack d'equipement peuvent egalement contenir un outil tels que les grenade ou un kit de soin et peuvent egalement avoir un buff qui a malheuresement une faible de rater quand on l'active (vampirisme, bonus de degat et malus a la defense, bonus a la precision, possibilitée de faire un point de degat ou 999,....).
J'ai rencontrer 4 classes : les scout (representé par un galon) avec un tres bon deplacement, un fusil puissant et qui tire loin + un pistolet qui peut tirer 3 fois ( utile pour finir un ennemis blesser et tirer encore sur une autre cible, ou quand vous etes pret de votre cible pour essayer de faire 3 headshot).
Le mitrailleur (representé par un double galon) utilise une puissante mitrailleuse qui peut facilement tuer un ennemis d'une action, voir 2 si ils sont l'un derriere l'autre, la shotgun qui peut tirer 2 fois est tres puissante et touche tout les ennemis a proximitée.
Le sniper ( representé par un cercle barré) a un pistolet comme le scout et un fusil sniper, celui ci ma d'ailleur peu charmer, malgres les pourcentage de toucher elever il fallait vraiment que le l'aproche pret du combat pour qu'il touche, pas de chance j'imagine et en plus le sniper ne peut pas passer en defense.
Le mortier ( representer par un obus) dispose d'une puissant mortier, tout simplement :)
Les packs d'equipement s'achete principalement au magasin tout comme la nourriture,des soldat suplementaire et des soin, les soldat "wounded" qui se sont fait abattre quoi, ne regenere plus de santé au fil des deplacement et doivent etre soigner via un magasin, l'or se gagne surtout en bataille, avec un bonus si vous tuer vos ennemis en 1 tour. On pourrait penser que se jeux serait facile mais en fait pas du tout : les arme sont puissante et les soldat fragile, comme dans valkyria chronicle on dispose d'une quantitée de point d'action pour faire jouer ses soldat, du coup on peut tous les utiliser sur le meme et ravager la menace a portée de ce soldat, mais l'ennemis peut faire de meme et en generale ils ne se baladent pas sans objectif : ils veulent vous faire la peau.
On se retrouve finalement avec un jeux qui peut "vite se finir" (comme FTL quoi, si on a de la chance, qu'on joue bien et le tout avec une bonne connaissance du jeux) mais qui se trouve etre un jeux plutot interessant a jouer et qui une rejouabilitée sympathique (3 personnage principal a debloquer avec 5 composition de depart a debloquer) avec 3 niveau de difficultée bien doser : vous voulez en mode facile ? le jeux vous permet de finir la plupart des combat rapidement et facilement mais avec un minimum de tension dans les grosse mission, en mode normal les chose se corsent réellement ( puisque d'ailleur je ne l'ai pas encore fini en normal au moment ou j'ecrit ces lignes :D ). Si vous aimez valkyrie chronicle et/ou FTL , ce jeux pourrait vous plaire, essayez de passer outre les graphisme si ceux si ne sont pas dans vos gouts.
A funny turn based tactical combat roguelike with a small degree of resource management. The random events and unlockable content add some replayability.
