This game is fun and scratches the arcade-style baseball itch. Worth it if you grab it on sale. They want you to create a separate account to play online, but that's often the case for cross-play. I haven't done that as I play single player. A controller is basically required, mouse and keyboard is not really a feasible control scheme. That said, I rarely play with a controller, bu5t this game was very intuitive with an Xbox style controller. Overall a lot of fun if not a bit overprices when not on sale.

I absolutely love the Super Mega Baseball series, i remember getting the first one for free during one of XBOX Live's free with gold event. And loved the game, mind you at the time i wasn't super into baseball. However being from Ontario and hearing of the Blue Jays doing really well and listening to the hype. I watched their playoff run and their world series game and immediately got hooked onto baseball. So i decided to pick up Super Mega Baseball 4 since it's the newest entry in the series. And i am glad i picked it up. The game is fully customizable in a lot of aspect, you can create your own league, your own team, conferences and divisions. If you wanted to make a baseball conference with say NFL teams or NHL teams. You can do that in baseball form. But i made my own and added my own Original Characters and even characters from games and movies and so on and based stats around how I'd think they are. For example i added the Left 4 Dead 2 survivors, Ellis being a catcher, Nick being a well balanced hitter, Coach being a homerun hitter and Rochelle being a contact specialist with speed. The customization is really well made. And being able to have preset names and hear them being called out is even greater. Hearing Chad Coleman's name when up at bat is so great. If you ever feel like the game is getting too easy, maybe do to your characters feeling OP. you can boost up the stats of players from other teams, as i said. Fully customizable settings.

The game is 100% worth it if you like Baseball and want to create your own baseball Universe. Now here's the MAJOR and i do mean MAJOR thing i wish to see in the future.

I want a Super Mega Hockey Game

We really need a good quality Hockey game that plays like the NHL games on PC, and the Super Mega Baseball universe would fit really well with it's goofy art style and world. And having the same level of customization that Super Mega Baseball has. And also i love having a mixture of Men and Women on a roster because it just feels more fun to mix and match some of my favorite characters in the roster. And with Super Mega Hockey, you can do the same thing here. Who cares if it's not realistic. The Super Mega Baseball games are just a fun and goofy baseball game, why not make a similar fun and goofy Hockey game.
