One of the best action games out there. The more you play the more you learn, the more you learn the faster you go, the faster you go the higher you score. Extremely fun, extremely tense, this is an all time classic that more people should know about.

This game came before its time. It feels absolutely amazing in your hands on controller. Reminiscent of an old vania style game that you would play at the arcade but with quality of life and gameplay improvements that make it very enjoyable for the modern age. Quick loading times between retry screens. The combat plays smooth. Unleash endless combos and glide through the enemy sprites like butter. All while some deep voiced narrator cheers you along with snarky one liners. There is wee bit of Adult Swim Flare to be enjoyed. Great game to run on the couch while you pass around the controller. Very replayable with steam work shop and map editor. If you like quick little arcade games that are actually fun and action packed then add this to your library.

I have been playing this game since it was dropped on the Adult Swim gaming page back in 2012ish. It is still an incedible game and I am so happy to see it chugging along. I highly recommend this game for anyone who wants a fun and addictive gaming experience.

Ahora en cambio, funciona a la perfeccion, siempre que juegues con el monitor en 60hz. Es un juego adrenalinico, quizas casual porque no da para jugarlo 100 horas pero es muy bueno y lo recomiendo cada vez que puedo; disfrutenlo!

fast paced , challenging but fun platformer , you're going down and down in these non-stop levels full of traps.
great controls , you can throw ninja stars and bombs and you also unlock various upgrade include additional melee weapons which help make the gameplay diversified.
the physics are a bit unusual and might take a while to get used to it's doesn't make the game bad either.
the level editor is easy to use but sometime it's behave weirdly and I've even managed to make the game crash because of certain enemies placements , I'm not sure but I think the game dislike having some mobs placed in water.
still overall a very decent game for it's price.

I found this game when I was a kid browsing through online games on some sites. It was so much fun, I would spend hours playing it, trying harder and harder and always failing to reach the bottom of the tower. when I found it on steam, I bought it, and had all the fun I remember having back when I was a kid.
Shame it had to be shut down, but I'm happy I got to enjoy playing it.

I know this game has mostly positive reviews, but for me, it's mostly an exercise in frustration. I hate being time in video games, so this makes me feel like I need to hurry; yet the entire game is designed to be a literal death trap. PLUS the game is literally insulting you the entire time, which doesn't help. I barely have any free time anymore, so this isn't my idea of fun.
Unless you have an ocean of both patience and free time, I would not recommend getting this game.
This game is truly something special and it's a damn shame it's no longer available.

Não sou exatamente um fã nem de roguelike nem de plataforma de precisão... Mas, ainda sim esse jogo me pegou com seu gameplay rápido e viciante. Você sempre quer chegar mais longe, desbloquear algo novo e muitas vezes o que você desbloqueia muda o gameplay um pouco ou te dá aquela melhoria necessária pra chegar um pouquinho mais longe cada vez. É um loop de gameplay bem viciante. Uma pena esse jogo ter saído das lojas e eu ter demorado tanto pra conhecer.

My story with this game:
I started playing it since the flash era when it was free on the Adult Swim website back in 2013 and since then I have been delighted with every element it includes. From a female ninja assassin protagonist who got upgrades and new weapons to continue playing to the pixel art and how it feels like an authentic console game. I loved the Steam version now with achievements, a DLC and even a way to create and share maps. I'm still having a hard time finishing the final boss. But I had a lot of fun cutting off the heads of all the monsters. A 100/10
It's a shame that for copyright reasons no one will be able to buy it again and experience it. I will always treasure it and thank you very much for the good memories.

Escribo esto al enterarme que removerán el juego de la tienda. Si no lo han jugado, denle una oportunidad. Es de mis indies preferidos, su ritmo es muy frenético, rogue-like de hermosa estética retro, banda sonora y efectos sonoros muy buenos. Una vez le agarras el ritmo es fácil entrar en "la zona" y no puedes parar. Que mas cool que controlar a un ninja que se mueve a mil por hora jeje. Se te da la opción de elegir el poder que mas te acomode. No es un juego fácil pero vale la pena la experiencia.
A genuinely exceptional arcade platformer that simultaneously rewards careful planning and moving at breakneck speeds. Boasts super-tight controls and beautiful art, but I feel the sound design is the real star. You don't have much time left, so don't sleep on it!
Do yourself a favor and grab this gem of a game before it's gone.

I highly recommend this game. I never reviewed it because I have played it many times over the years, off and on, and it's not one of those games you think about a lot. You play it, enjoy it for a couple hours then do something else. Like a crossword puzzle.
This is a great modern arcade style game with Roguelike elements to give it that arcade feel at home. The only way it works anymore since you don't use quarters. The upgrades to weapons really change up your strategies for runs, and as you can tell while I have had this game since roughly around the time it came out, and only have 2.3 hours listed, it doesn't take very long per run. Especially if you don't play it too regularly like me and never get good enough at it. Usually I fail to get to the end.
This feels like a sharp left turn, but the music in this game is also good.
Despite my terrible review, because I really don't have much to say about the game other than I like to play it sometimes (I have had it installed on my PC since I bought it and I do that with very few games), it's still fun to play in bursts like most arcade games. I recommend getting it before you no longer can.
Fun game where you play as a Ninja slicing and dicing down a tower racing against the clock. Highly recommend picking it up for a good time.
Game is also getting delisted soon, but Bitmap Bureau (The company that Megadev became) are actively trying to get in contact with adult swim to potentially buy the rights to the game back. If you wanna buy this game in the future, make some noise on social media so Adult Swim finally notices the devs.

It's a shame this game will be delisted in a few days. Super House of Dead Ninjas is one of my favorite games on my Steam Deck because the action is tight and concise. Graphics and sounds are in point too. Seriously, this is one of the best action rougelikes and WB Games is just gonna delist it.
Despite the disclaimer, it runs flawlessly on the Steam Deck.

STAR_ helped me discover this gem and watching his speed running got me in to compete against his time back in the day.

Cool little action platformer with roguelike elements. It was ahead of its time at release and still plays great today. It's a disservice that it's being delisted. Both it and its DLC are worth your time if this sort of game appeals to you at all.
This game and its DLC are still somehow getting delisted soon. How any company can be too lazy to preserve a game by just handing it off to somebody else, possibly even for money (the only language WB speaks, apparently, assuming they haven't all been replaced by poorly designed AIs by now), is a complete mystery to me. This game does not deserve such a fate. It's fun, fast-paced, and has ninjas! F*ck you Zsasz and f*ck you WB.
Edit: The game is no longer getting delisted! Yay! I still hate WB tho.
Really fun arcade-style game, unfortunately it's being delisted from Steam in 2 weeks so grab it now if you're interested. The base game is on sale for $1.39 and the DLC is $3, I recommend both.

Despite owning the game for years, I just recently gave it a go, and I think it's really fun. The action is great, and there's plenty of challenge if you want to beat it or unlock all the content. Each run is not that long, making it a great game to start a speedrunning career.
