I really wanted to love this game because the vibes are so good, but unfortunately it seems the devs prioritzed vibes over gameplay. There's some world-class frame-by-frame animation early on but the rest of the game is kind of lifeless. All the dialogue is voiceless text with still portraits. I guess this isn't selling itself as a platformer but the world feels so unresponsive. Nothing happens to you no matter how far you fall for example. You don't even penetrate the water's surface if you land on it. The coding seems very amateurish, and the gameplay is all boring farming and fetch quests. On second thought, I'm not even sure the vibes are all that great since you're such a young orphan having to take care of herself and no one is offering to take you in. Everyone is just asking a tiny orphan for favors instead of helping her.

Anyway, if you're looking for a story about a girl exploring tropical islands then I recommend Tchia, though it is a little more expensive.

ONLY buy this game if you're interested in a prequel to the newer game "Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara" or whatever it's called... something like that anyway.

This game is intended for audiences under the age of 12. Your "heroine" is six years old and just buried her only family, her adopted grandmother. And yet somehow she is the "only one" who is interested in saving the world from greedy alien invaders who want to strip-mine the planet. And the only help she finds is a group of retired pirates who are all afraid to go outside their own homes anymore. BUT that said, most of the game is very cute, sweet, and the play style is casual. Exploring the world is easy to learn, and you'll find some interesting things out among the various islands of the world. There's farming, and fishing, mining, crafting, cooking, and hunger/energy survival mechanics too. So yeah... it's not THAT bad... except for a couple of things that really turned me off. Here's what I hate about this game:

1. The fishing minigame SUCKS SO BAD.
Each attempt costs you a Thread and a Bait. There are several types of bait, every fishing hole requires a specific type of bait and only has one type of fish available to catch. Bait is not a real problem though, you'll find "enough" of it as you travel. The real issue is the THREAD. It's expensive to buy, and only one merchant sells it so you can only buy 5 per day until they run out of stock. To make it, you need to grow COTTON and those seeds are pricey too, and only two merchants sell them. You burn a thread and bait whether you succeed or not. So fishing is a VERY EXPENSIVE process. And each fishing spot has just ONE KIND of fish so at least it's not totally random... but it only has maybe 3 fish total. Whether you catch one or fail, you burn one fish slot... so you only get 3 attempts at each fishing hole before it runs out of fish. So even if you stockpile tons of bait and thread, you still can't chain-cast and catch a ton of fish at once. You'll have to spread it out over several DAYS as you wait for the fishing spots to respawn.
On top of that, there is a HUGE DIFFICULTY SPIKE in the fishing minigame. The first few fish are really easy to catch, no problem. But then after the first half dozen fish (only one or two of which are needed for quests) you get a request that blocks your progression until you complete it, and they want a SQUID. There is only one spot in the whole world where you can catch squid (on the same map as the island with the village, just on the northwest side of the island off the coast) so you only get a few tries at them before you need to wait for it to respawn. This is tied to the MAIN QUEST - remember that. But it's impossible to catch one. IMPOSSIBLE. The rod controls are janky, very jerky and laggy so you need to literally be a Jedi to do it right. And the squid's movement is erratic, random, and EXTREMELY FAST so it's impossible to keep up with it. And it drains the thread's health SO FAST it will break the line in less than five seconds every single time. There are several "hard level" fish that are just as difficult, too. The difficulty spike is too big and too sudden, and you're blocked from progressing the story until you catch one... I still haven't caught one... and it's roughly the halfway point of the game.

2. The ENERGY system sucks. A lot.
You drain energy a bit just by standing still and letting time pass. If you run, it drains faster. Every time you mine, chop a tree, plant a seed, water a plant, harvest a crop, or basically do anything at all, it drains a chunk of energy. Your energy will literally last you 2.5 hours out of every day. The bar drains TOO FAST to be reasonable. It really limits your ability to DO ANYTHING AT ALL. If you run out, you will immediately pass out and the day ends, you start the next day with just half your energy refilled. Sleeping in your boat or a sleeping bag also leaves you with only half your energy. (Sleeping at your house or the inn at the village gives you full energy but it still only lasts 2.5 hours.) To refill your energy you can sleep and end the day... or you can eat food. To get food, you need to grow ingredients on your farm and then cook them in your kitchen. But most foods only restore a small amount of energy. The ones that do a full recovery require six or seven different kinds of ingredients, and multiples of each one. SO you'll spend 3 out of every 5 days working on your farm just to feed your energy bar for all five days. It's ridiculous. But then again... you are a six year old girl so I guess you get worn out pretty quickly because you need more naps.

3. Trees take TOO LONG to grow and produce fruit.
Specifically the cocoa tree and the pineapple tree, both of which you NEED FOR MAIN QUEST PROGRESSION near the end of the game... you won't get enough fruit from them though so you'll get bored and quit before beating the game, I promise you that.
AND what's more, the chocolate quest only gives you 3 cocoa beans... the game doesn't even tell you that you're supposed to PLANT THEM, you'll probably just assume you're supposed to use them in your kitchen to make 1 piece of chocolate... but the quest needs FIVE pieces of chocolate. (Hint: cocoa beans can be found on the "Withering Island" but they take forever to respawn.)
AND what's even more than more, you don't get pineapples until you're already at the end of the game. They only grow on one island. Nobody sells them. By the time you even are able to plant your first pineapple tree you're like "Great, I just need a few more pineapples and then I can do the final mission!" But it takes A MONTH of in-game time to grow pineapples. WTF man?

SO yeah... it's a fun, sweet, cozy game. But a couple of the mechanics are SO BAD that it just gets frustrating and boring by the halfway point. According to Steam's statistics, only about 12% of players make it past the halfway point, the rest quit by then. There is a sequel... which is a better game in my opinion. If you want to know the history before you play that game, then try this one i guess. It's not "a bad game" really, it's just severely hampered by the fishing and energy systems, and the way some of the late-game fruit is tied into the main quest.

Я сломал игру. Бабка попросила срубить дерево, но я срубил дерево рядом, и это сломало все. Бабку заело что она не дала бы мне задание с которым я бы не справился. В итоге я срубил все деревья на острове и ей этого недостаточно. Все равно хочет чтобы я дальше рубил деревья. У меня уже 99 деревьев в инвентаре, но ей все равно мало.

Хотел посмотреть кто сделал игру. Оказалось что там длиннющие титры, который включают в себя наверно 7 населений земли, потому что до конца титров я не дотерпел. Создается ощущение что игра скам. А если не скам, то почему ни один человек из этого гигантского списка в титрах не сказал что игра ломается если срубить дерево не в том месте не в то время.

Единственный плюс это музыка. Она просто шикарная

A Cozy Island Adventure (With a Bit Too Much Grinding)

I picked up Summer in Mara looking for a relaxing escape on my Steam Deck, and for the most part, it delivers on that promise. The hand-drawn art style is absolutely charming and looks stunning on the Steam Deck OLED screen, the vibrant colors of the ocean and the tropical islands really pop.

I managed to finish the main story and most of the side quests in about 19 hours. The narrative is sweet, and the core loop of farming, crafting, and exploring new islands is engaging at first. You really do get attached to Koa and her little world.

Technical Performance (The Good Stuff)
Since I play on the go, I was happy to see this runs flawlessly on the Deck. It’s NOT verified by the Valve Game Testing Team. I personaly experienced zero issues. I actually installed it on a Micro SD card, and it ran perfectly fine, no lag, no crashes, and no Linux compatibility problems. It’s a great "pick up and play" title for the handheld.

The Gameplay Frustrations (The "Almost Quit" Moments)
However, I have to be honest about the grind. While the game is cozy, it often feels like it’s deliberately wasting your time. There is a lot of walking, and traveling between islands by boat takes way too long, especially early on before you get significant upgrades.

The quest design relies heavily on "back and forth" fetch quests. You’ll sail to an island, talk to someone, realize you need a specific fruit, sail home, and realize the fruit takes about three in game days or more to grow. I had one specific moment where I almost quit because I was stuck waiting for fruit to grow on my home island, the growth timer is just too slow for the frequency with which the game asks for those resources.

Final Thoughts
I wish there was voice acting for the characters to make the dialogue feel less like a chore to read, but considering the budget, the text-based storytelling is fine (though AI voice acting would be a welcome accessibility feature in a future update).

If you love the idea of farming sims and have a high tolerance for grinding, you’ll enjoy the vibe here. But be warned: this game requires patience. I stuck with it and finished the story, but I came very close to putting it down several times due to the slow travel and repetitive fetch quests.

Recommend if: You want a chill vibe and a pretty game for your Steam Deck.
Skip if: You hate excessive back-tracking in games.

I finally perfected this game! It was such a cozy fun game, loved that it had a huge map to discover different islands that contributed to the story line, it also had a lot of quests i think like 10 average per character which gives you loads to do, it does have quite the fetch and grind quests so if it you're not into that it might not be for you. But if you do like to put in the work and hours in order to play a game you must check this one out! :)

A charming adventure across the sea of Mara! In spite of a few little hiccups here or there when trying a complete achievements run, I absolutely recommend this game for anyone who simply enjoys both farming and casual exploring. It reminds me a bit of the feel I got sailing the seas of TLOZ The Wind Waker. The colorful and diverse line of friends you make are exceptional as far as I'm concerned when it comes to character design. I only wish I could continue getting to know more about them.

❌No minimap. only when ur in the boat.
❌A little annoying to always scroll through your long list of quests.
❌Game is sometimes giving u objectives in places on the map where it's yet to be unblocked.
❌At some point the game starts to get old and boring because you go back and forth. Even when you try to remember and check what area each mission is located in order to accomplish as many objectives as you can in one area. It still sends you to far away locations. It gets tedious at times. I prefer how it was in [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1623700/Deiland_Pocket_Planet/]Deiland [/url]. Well it's also because Deiland is small so there's no travel aspect.

I am only 4 days into the game and I already cannot progress because lighting the torch quest for NIA and NIO is not completable due to the final giant bowl torch not actually have an action button available for me to complete. So glad I paid only $2 for this but it's not even worth 1 cent given you can't actually play. I am essentially permanenly stuck on day 2 as that is when the quest becomes available and even after trying everything possible it's not capable of progression.

Summer in Mara ist eine niedliche Mischung aus Farmer und Weltenbummler sein.
Die Musik ist sehr passend und gefühlvoll.

Reine Spielzeit liegt bei ungefähr 40 Stunden. Die Rätsel sind nicht zu einfach gemacht. Da muss man auch ein wenig das Köpfchen anstrengen.

Das einzige, was mich etwas genervt hat war das gelaufe zwischen den NPC´s und den Quests. Hol dies, bring das...wenn man zwischen zwei NPCs die sich nie vom Fleck bewegen 10 mal hin und her muss, geht das mal etwas ans Nervenkostüm.

Am Ende ist es ein entspanntes Game für zwischendurch ohne Zeitdruck.

[u]Recommendation[/u]: A very solid, satisfying game about exploration, farming, & deliveries.

[u]Critique[/u]: This is a Spanish game that has been translated into many languages (I played in English). It controls beautifully (I used a 360 controller), with you moving the little girl, Koa, around the world to explore, plant trees, gather materials, & harvest crops. Koa can jump more than twice her height & never takes any falling damage, but this is not a platforming game. It's just about exploration & farming: gathering materials so that you can complete quests which unlock recipes for tools/structures that you can build. The game world exists in a day-night cycle where 1 minute in-game passes for every real-world second (paused when you go into menus or interact with NPCs), with the light changing from daylight to golden hour to twilight to night. As you move around, Koa gets hungry & you must eat food you've gathered or prepared (there's a long list of recipes you can learn to cook) to increase your satiety. As she does things, the tasks she performs (walking, running, swimming, harvesting, mining, etc) expend stamina, & Koa will pass out (waking up refreshed the next morning) if she runs out of stamina.

You learn very quickly that sustainable tree farming is the key to success: plant a tree & each day there is a chance that it will grow into a sapling or larger tree. There is also a chance that it will produce 1 or 2 fruit. The fruit of [b]most[/b] trees is edible; [b]all[/b] fruit can grow another tree. This works the same for bushes, except that a bush will never produce 2 berries at once. You can also chop these down to get wood/resin, which you need for building. The key is to wait for each to produce at least two fruit before chopping it down: the way you can replace the plant with one & keep the other to plant or eat. It's fun to collect every type of tree and plant orchards for a constant supply of all the fruit.

There is normal farming, too: you till a field, plant seeds, & water/fertilize the soil. But the difference is that when you harvest the mature plant, you get the crop, destroy the plant, & have no seeds. So you have to keep finding or buying seeds throughout the game in order to get the crops that you need. It's very time- and labor-intensive compared to tree/bush farming.

As you progress, you're able to construct pens on your island. Once you have, you can bring farm animals, feed them, & eventually get their products. This is another goal of farming: you have to keep your animals fed, & growing feed is less expensive than buying it. Chickens produce eggs, sheep milk, & pigs truffles.

One of the things that advances the game is building more/better tools. Get a stone hoe to farm, a stone hammer to mine/break things, a stone axe to chop down trees, & a stone shovel to dig up treasure. Upgrade them to either affect more of your environment (hoes, hammers), or just do the same tasks faster (axes, shovels). Early on, you'll repair a broken-down boat. Once you do, the ocean opens up to Koa's exploration. Like your other tools, the boat also gets upgraded through quests, unlocking more of the world to explore.

The story is mostly driven by Koa interacting with NPCs she meets, who ask her for/receive her help in various tasks. Mostly, these are finding something missing, or crafting/growing something they need. The plot has a number of unexpected twists, with somewhat surprising elements introduced at times.

There is also fishing: once you craft a fishing rod, you can use bait & thread to try a little minigame to catch a fish (similar the fishing mechanic in [u]Stardew Valley[/u]). Each fishing spot is tied to a specific type of fish, so you will always catch that species when you fish there. Each species requires a different type of bait. Most bait can be bought, though all types can be found in traps scattered across the world. One type, [spoiler]the larva, is supposedly possible to acquire when harvesting beehives, but that never happened for me[/spoiler].

The music in the game is [i]fantastic[/i]. There is no dialogue, but lots of expressive non-verbal noises.

The game is very satisfying. I enjoyed almost every part of it immensely. I have two quibbles. The UI is unclear, which leads to a problem early in the game where you have to use a torch you've made, but the torch doesn't show up in your tool selection & you can't make another. The discussion board is filled with people complaining about how they got stuck & uninstalled because they couldn't proceed. The problem is that ALL of the tools you create in the game - not just the hoe/hammer/axe which show up in your tool menu - are built once & never again. [b]They only appear when interacting with the specific object where you can use them[/b]. So you have to [spoiler]go close to the unlit torches on the island to light them, even without the torch in your hand.[/spoiler] Second is that you can't farm anywhere except your home, even on tilled land that you find. That makes some sense - it would be super rude to chop down people's trees even if you were to plant new ones (much less start tilling someone's land), & Koa [u]never[/u] wants to be rude. But it does feel a little bit sad to not be able to garden on uninhabited islands.

The restriction of where you can grow crops & construct pens is more than made up for by the ability to place other objects, plant trees, bushes, & flowerpots anywhere on the island. It really gave me a strong sense of being able to customize Koa's home to my own aesthetic sensibilities.

There are "mail crabs" scattered across the archipelago on land/in the water. When you get close enough to them, you can read the messages that they carry (personal notes from game patrons). It's a fun meta game to try to find as many as you can, but I [b]really appreciate[/b] that there is no Achievement tied to finding all of them.

[u]Review[/u]: This is a story about an orphan finding her way. [spoiler]Koa is a girl in an area with few humans, Mara. She has been raised by her "grandma" Haku, whom we see in the opening cinematic & basic tutorial. Haku announces that the Guardians of Mara will bring the chrystalises to open the secret cave when Mara is in trouble, then Haku vanishes. Koa has to figure out how to survive on her own. One night, Koa sees a bright light in the bay, then discovers that it is a strange seashell creature that she dubs "Napopo." Being a walking seashell, Napopo can't talk, & Koa gets more lonely. After learning that she can survive on fruit, Koa repairs Haku's old boat & fuels it with liquid energy produced by the island. This allows her to travel for the first time in her life (Napopo tags along). They go to Qalis, the island home of the main population center in all of Mara. There she discovers that Haku was once a Mara Navy captain, by encountering one of her old shipmates, Saimi, who now lives in a lighthouse. In addition to a whole host of other species (shopkeepers, adventurers, salesmen, etc), Koa encounters an extraterrestrial (a lavender-skinned Elit) who is looking to exploit Mara. Napopo discovers that she can communicate more effectively by drawing pictures to convey meaning.

Among many others, Koa meets Blu, a mystic who acts as Napopo's translator. On missions to help Napopo, Koa discovers that the Elit are already poisoning Napopo's original home, the Qwe Tree. Koa decides that the aliens must be stopped, but has a hard time convincing others to help. Gradually Koa wins the trust of pirates, Navy vets, & Qalis citizens so that they will help in fighting off the Elits. While gathering help, Koa both finds the missing chrystalises & discovers the Elits are looking to extract her island's liquid energy. There is a big confrontation on the island as Koa reopens the cave & becomes the new guardian of Mara in the end game animated cinematic.[/spoiler]

Очень понравилась игра, для любителей симуляторов ходьбы с незамысловатыми квестами прям советую. Ходишь, наслаждаешься музыкой, мультяшной природой, теплотой и добротой окружающего мира и сам наполняешься спокойствием и радостью. Сюжет мне не показался детским, хоть там и не было жести, спойлерить не хотелось бы. Местами он печальный, но печаль эта светлая и оставляющая надежду. Спасибо разработчики и композиторы, замечательная душевная и добрая игра

[h1]Einsteigerfreundlich aber fehlerbehaftet, oberflächlich aber spaßig[/h1]
Mit Summer in Mara bekommt man ein einsteigerfreundliches, da oberflächliches Cozy Game. Die Möglichkeiten der Farm sind übersichtlich und leicht zu handhaben, aber eben auch sehr eingeschränkt. Profis werden sich daher eher langweilen. Die komplexen Sandbox-Systeme anderer Genrevertreter sollte man auch nicht erwarten, stattdessen gibt es hier hunderte von Fetch Quests abzuarbeiten. Das klingt langweilig, und wird es für viele Spieler auch sein. Aber wenn man sich darauf einlassen kann, dann entfalten die Fetch Quests eine bemerkenswert starke Sogwirkung.
Jedenfalls erfüllt Summer in Mara seinen Anspruch als Cozy Game. Hier gibt es keine richtige Bedrohung, keinen Zeitdruck und keine Möglichkeit zu verlieren. Stattdessen bekommt man ein charmantes Artdesign, einen schönen Soundtrack und eine familienfreundliche Story, welche positive Werte vermittelt. Es ist nur schade, dass die Story so schwach präsentiert wird. Ein paar gescheite Zwischensequenzen, eine lebendigere Spielwelt und eine Sprachausgabe hätten hier Abhilfe schaffen können.
Auch die ganzen Schlampereien in Form von Kollisions-Glitches, einer fehlerhaften deutschen Lokalisation oder einigen Gameplay-Treppchen ziehen die Qualität des Spiels nach unten. Nichtsdestotrotz konnte mir das Spiel Freude bereiten und mich dazu motivieren es mit 100 % Achievements abzuschließen. Die Entwickler haben also definitiv etwas richtig gemacht.

- der Farm-Aspekt ist sehr oberflächlich gehalten. Harte Genre-Fans wird das langweilen.
- sterile und statische Spielwelt
- keine Sprachausgabe (hätte das Spiel wirklich bereichert)

- schlampige deutsche Textübersetzung

This is a cozy life sim game with adorable artwork that quickly loses steam thanks to its fetch quest design. There are A LOT of quests in this game, and they are as simple as go grow this and bring it to me or cook this and bring it to me. The main problem is that these quests are the money sink in the game. Most of the seeds need to be bought and they are not cheap. It makes sense to hold onto everything that you grow or find in case a quest will require it. The crafting system is also skewed in the shops favor, as most things require a large amount of your materials. To make a wooden board, i need two logs, and even fully grown trees only drop 2 logs. String requires 2 cotton and some quests require 9 string to make an advanced material. It just all amounts to you constantly spending money and running all over the islands to complete quests. I almost wish there was a faster traversal method or a fast travel system, as Koa is quite slow when jogging and churns through her energy when running. And you don't want to eat to replenish her energy cause you have to sell your keep. And every single NPC has 52 quests that they want you to complete and some won't unlock to you progress certain story missions.

I bought this game to play with my daughter and the game is cute but usually casual games have an easier quest system than this. My kid quickly got tired of us hitting a wall because we ran out of money to buy things we needed to progress the quests. I dont know why they thought this was a good idea. I'll keep playing the game, but this isnt fun for more than a few hours at a time.

J'ai trouvé qu'il n'est pas facile de comprendre les mécaniques au début, car ce n'est pas montré. Il faut donc deviner. J'aime quand il faut comprendre les choses par soi-même mais... j'ai trouvé que certaines mécaniques étaient illogiques personnellement.

J'ai acheté le jeu en grosse réduction, j'ai passé un bon moment ratio prix, heures de jeux et divertissement. Alors, je le recommande si jamais il est à gros rabais :)

Gave it a couple more hours, and... I mean... it is as underwhelming as the prologue can get. Not only does it feel unfinished and hollow and empty, but it's also beyond unrewarding and painstakingly long. The animation is the only good part of this game; I tried to enjoy it, but found it more enjoyable to just put on background instead.

I like this game. I think its cute and the art style is fun. Like other reviews this is game is mainly a lot of running back and forth to complete quests and the NPCs pride themselves on being kind and polite but are very rude to your character. I don't mind the back and forth, I just wish the NPCs were a bit nicer and could show more gratitude for having their errand completed

This game is often on sale..... for a reason. Although it is a finished game is is unpolished lacking some small finesses that would make this game amazing. The concept is great with the story, however, like every other review will tell you. It is a fetch quest galore. Go here and then go over here and then go back here. Rinse, lather, and repeat. I wish there was some differences in the quests so that it would help or something more. Would recommend others over this but if you have played the others this is alright. Got all the achievements in the time listed.

[*] The game can be unintuitive at times, with the biggest hurdle being saving. The game seems to auto-save but doesn’t let you know. People coming from the farming genre are used to saving only upon sleeping. I'm pretty sure exiting the game advances you to the next day, so by "sleeping to save" you're actually skipping time forward by a day. Exit before bed if you’re worried about that.
[*] Most NPC animations are largely non-existent. They don’t walk around or have daily routes/schedules to follow, instead phasing into/out of existence. The sea feels lively while the (non-home) islands feel static. Thankfully animals have animations so everything isn’t completely stone-like.
[*] NPC relationships are narrowly defined. The dialog feels great and you get good characterization, but your only interaction with NPCs is through the fetch-quests. There’s no value in simply saying “Hi” (and some characters get annoyed at you for doing so, even after befriending them in their questline), no gifting, no relationship measure outside of how many quests you’ve completed. The game is focused on the story/quests and that’s it.

The other erased Yaya Flowers from my inventory, which could be devistating as they take a long time to respawn. I always left some Yaya Flowers on my island, so I was okay.

The whole game is a giant fetch quest, as others have already mentioned in their reviews.

The bad thing about that is, that it often doesn't even make sense. For instance, in one quest, I have to grab some batteries for someone. I already have some in my inventory. But instead of directly giving that person the wanted items, I still had to do something else to - you guessed it - get the exact same items I already had.

Then, there's the amount of running around you need to do. At some points in the game, the devs decided that it's a good idea to disable fast travel completely, forcing you to use your slow boat for way too long distances.

Yeah, no. It's cute and all, but the gameplay loop is not only boring, it's also infuriating at times.

Man soll das Feld mit Hacke vorbereiten und Karottensamen einpflanzen - das Feld kann man vorbereiten, das hat man einmal getan, es steht da (beackert), aber das Tutorial will immer noch, dass man die Hacke nimmt und das Feld vorbereitet.
Man kann noch so oft auf die Karottensamen oder das Feld klicken, es passiert halt einfach nichts.

Drei mal neu angefangen und drei mal die Story-Dialoge übersprungen - immer wieder die gleiche Soße - so unspielbar, weil man die Quest auch nicht überspringen kann.
Dann halt nicht. Chibig sollte man in Chibug umbenennen.
Zum Glück für dieses kurze Vergnügen nur 2€ ausgegeben.

Deiland war auch so ein Spiel, eigentlich nettes Setting und Grafik - wurde aber ohne sinnvolle Gründe einfach abgekündigt und unter neuem Titel "Deiland Pocket Planet" als "remastered" rausgeworfen. Einfach nur, um nochmal Geld zu verdienen. 👎

Entwickler landet für diese Unfähigkeit und Verhalten jetzt auf meiner persönlichen Blockliste.

A very heartwarming story enveloped in a cozy casual farming and sailing game.

Summer in Mara made me forget about my real world problems for a while but also made me tear up a little bit here and there with its story, even though I felt it could have used a little more time developing some scenes and dialogues, the story beats were very solid.

Quests were mainly fetch quests with a bit of crafting here and there, the game does not hold your hand about its mechanics and in the early game, I really struggled to figure out some of its systems and some quests were vague on what to do or where to go, making me go to the internet for help, but it was ok.

As for music, the game's sound design was very strange, the first few hours had only like 2 or 3 tracks lopping over and over and it was very annoying but as you continue playing, new tracks are added and it isnt as bad.. but yeah, music in the game needs rework to make it acceptable.

As far as achievements go, pretty simple, just complete all storylines with a few special achievements requiring exploration here and there, no missables, just a little bit of fetch quest grind. You should be able to 100% this title in a week or so.

The main character is adorable and her attitude is commendable, I liked her best out of everything else in the game, brave, outgoing, hard working and reliable, they really made her super likeable.

Summer in Mara gets 31 seashells I compulsively picked up at every chance out of 47 times I went bananas looking for bananas so I can make home-made gunpowder. An enjoyable title!

Aggressively mediocre.

For every good thing, there's a counterpart that curbs my enjoyment for the game. Character portraits are good and the 3D models are fine. However, the cities feel static and more like a movie set than a world lived in. There's a couple stray animals roaming, but the actual people do nothing, stand still all day or pop in at predetermined times once they open the shop. Also, the running animation is super weird, as it's centered on the character's head.

The world is compelling, and you progressively discover weirder and more exotic locales. However, especially in the second half of the game, you just barely touch some islands and move on. There's no real incentive to exploration, no special interactions, no unique rewards.

The island building elements, while basic, are probably the most enjoyable. You get to plant trees and build (some) structures all over the map, and you get to see your island grow as you do. The philosophy of "take something, give something back" works very well within the mechanics of the game.

The premise of the story is charming and functional: as a child, you get to explore the world for the first time as you do as the player. However, the story never evolves from the first beat; it's an endless loop of "You are a child, do as I say" and "I'm not a child, I'll do whatever I want" over and over until the end of the game.

The main story is an endless string of fetch quests, pretty much all of them. Some are egregious in wasting your time. In once instance, a pirate wants a new flag and ask for some cloth. You go to your island, either raise some cotton or buy the cloth directly, then go back to the pirate. "Thanks for the cloth. Now I need black ink." And back you go, to your island, to craft the ink, and back again to the pirate in the middle of nowhere. And that's the entire gameplay loop.
A common questline is: talk to a guy > go convince another guy on the other side of the world to do something > second guy isn't convinced, go back to first guy > first guy suggests fetching an item from far away or go back to your island to craft something > bring item to second guy > report back to first guy that the story has advanced. If the travelling or exploration was meaningful I could live with it but, as is, there's only the open sea. Nothing moves, nothing evolves, nothing happens. It's a waste of the player's time.

Due to the duality of the review system, I have to lean towards the negative. It's a shame: I was enthralled at first, but then it dragged on and on with very little substance.

Summer in Mara is a cozy adventure and farming sim. You play as Koa, a girl who was raised by her adopted grandmother on a tiny island where they live in sync with nature.

Before I continue: At the start, the game recommends using a controller, and from what I've read, the mouse and keyboard controls are pretty rough. So if you don't have a controller or don't want to use one, this probably isn't for you.

After a short tutorial you're on your own, and your island is a bit of a mess. The fields are overgrown and blocked with stones and branches, all buildings except the main house are damaged, and even grandmother's ship is nothing more than a wreck. You can plant trees and bushes freely on your island (some need to be on higher ground or near water though), but main structures like animal coops and farming plots are in fixed locations. You also have a limit on how many trees you can have on your island (the limit can be raised, but I don't know where it caps).

Like most farming sims you can craft, cook, and farm vegetables and fruits. You can also raise animals like chickens, pigs, and sheep. For me, this part was far too short and got overshadowed by all the fetch quests and constant sailing back and forth.

Everything you do costs stamina, which refills completely at home but only half when sleeping in a sleeping bag or on your ship. Difficulty is very low overall (passing out just respawns you the next morning with half stamina and no penalty). You also need to eat every few days or your max stamina drops.

Once you repair your ship and start exploring, you meet all kinds of different characters living on neighboring islands. Most of them are some sort of fish-human hybrid, though there are also aliens mixed in. The characters are fun, if a little bizarre, and I found interactions with them cute enough. The graphics are very bright and colorful, and the character portraits during dialogues are really well done. I genuinely liked a few of the cutscenes too. That said, the story itself is very tame and feels like it's aimed at a much younger audience.

The world is laid out on a 6x6 grid with short loading screens between sections. You start with access to just your home island and the main island, but more unlock as you complete quests. Your ship upgrades twice during the story to reach the rest of the map. Discovering new islands was enjoyable, and so was finding different fish species. Fishing itself uses a simple minigame that was okay but very easy, while diving had awful controls where you could barely move (it felt sluggish the entire time).

Fetch quests dominate most of the gameplay, and I mean A LOT of them. The main island is quite large, poorly laid out, and pretty empty. You're constantly running from one end to the other. Most NPCs just stand in place (only a few dogs roam around), and the same character models get reused multiple times. You can sprint and jump pretty high, but it still eats up time, and invisible walls and weird hitboxes pop up where they shouldn't. You also have to keep sailing back to your home island to build something or gather materials and then return to the NPC.

Fast travel is available when you're on your ship (but only to the main island), though it costs gold and you're pretty broke early on. Some quests are locked behind others, and the log will tell you when you need to advance a different quest before continuing.

What annoyed me more than the fetch quests was not knowing what was safe to sell. I sold some seashells early on only to need them for a quest minutes later. And since autosave is the only option, there was no way for me to reload. Item respawning was also really inconsistent. According to the wiki, certain fishing bait found in buckets (or occasionally in random barrels floating in water) respawns after three days. I tried everything: staying on the island for three days straight, visiting the island daily for several days, avoiding it completely for three days and then checking again. Nothing worked. Even the bait bucket on my own island never refilled during my entire playthrough, which lasted around 100-150 in-game days. Fishing for certain species became incredibly frustrating, especially the angelfish since I needed three of them and that bait wasn't even buyable. Trees and bushes were similarly unreliable. I hoped that leaving my home island untouched for twenty days would mean every tree and bush would be full of fruit when I returned, but most had nothing or maybe one piece. Only the orange trees and blackberry bushes seemed to work consistently.

The game was free on Fanatical in August 2025. It's a cute game, and I can see it working well for younger players. It just dragged on too long. I spent around 20 hours finishing all quests and achievements, but so much of that was unnecessary backtracking. It could've easily been 10 hours, and I would've liked it better. Still, it was free and not the worst game I've played, so I won't give it a negative review.

Sigh.....if you show left button click but can't click anywhere except for the text by the symbol not even the symbol itself, that is just small and fiddly. Why? Why! Also in the tutorial the person won't repeat the instructions and the journal is bound to the ctrl key? What? No options when pressing esc except resume and exit. How does this game not follow any of the industry standards? Sigh.....
Collected some resources before i got a quest to collect them, the quest doesn't check your inventory and the resources don't respawn when you get the quest or in a nights sleep(took three sleeps and completed when i collected one of them since it then checked the quest progress but not when i got the quest xP). That just seem like such an obvious design flaw. There are other gripes of course that are also along with not following expected standards in convenience and flow but i made my point already.

PS. Walking in between the beehives on iron island made me fall trough the island every time,

I've put nearly 30 hours into this, so this is more on me...but if there's such a thing as "hate-playing", that's how I felt playing this game. I wanted to complete the story, but the pointless busywork and extraneous dialogue was a slog to make it through. Fetch quest after fetch quest, sail to an island, collect resources, sail to another island, craft something, sail to another island, give it to the character who needs it only to be given another recipe to make, repeat.

The island is charming, and Koa and Napopo and Haka resonated with me as characters, but I kept feeling like this should have been a better game. More actual story and less busywork, more effort put into actual dialogue.

mostly wanted to try this because I thought the perspective of being a child would make the farming sim more interesting somehow, like changes in dynamics you have when socializing or changing how you go about doing tasks

instead of exploring how being a child would change the usual "you are now in charge of some kinda farm" dynamic, we just get all these random adults relying on a small orphan child to do everything and actively making her life difficult? why? Wasn't sure if I should give it a positive or negative review but I spent over 20 hours in this and got all achievements done. Why would I lie to myself and say "don't play it!"!?

It was relaxing, cut, summery now when it's dark and cold outside. Easy quests, relaxing farming and lots of exploring to do.

A lot of conversations in text, since there's no voices, so I can admit that i fast forwarded like every quests because I got no patience to read it all. I yet found the game interesting enough and still able to understand the story line.

Decent asking price with 20 euro. Got it in a bundle so even better. It looked like a short, small game, but it was bigger then expected, wich is a positive for me!

[h1] ---{ Detail Notes }--- [/h1]

Going to do it by points for this review. Spoilers its a very unpolished game.

- Grass pop in only few feet away from you, too obvious to overlook. Or in other ways its a eyesore.

- Music is on and off and on off. What gets annoying fast since there isn't many tracks to make up for this on and off behaviour choice.

- Bad game design scattered pretty much everywhere. Like one objective have to talk to NPC but that NPC is on a rock surrounded by water, and you can't jump out of the water once you in it. You have to find a edge that's lets you get out of the water or make the bar run out. And also lot of back and forth running fetch quests are in this game pretty much the main thing you'll be doing.

- Fishing ui is so bland and unpolish I just had to mention how horrid it is. As for the unpolish the edge of this bland ui box doesn't count it has to be perfectly centered with the box for it to count to the point what's the point displaying it as a this big box why not a dot or something at least that doesn't lie to the player.

- Not even 28 mins in. I got softlocked cause the Water Well vanished and you were meant to break it down to get the metal to make the hammer to progress to make a New Water Well. In the end it only came back after relaunching the whole game, only then I could carry on progressing in the game. And it didn't even spawn in the right place it used to be it was now by the house what only means if a player relaunched the game and didn't look around anywhere else there would of still thought they were solflocked. So this goes to show you how little playtest it is if not only 28 mins into the game the game breaks it self for players or at least did for me.

- Crafting ui is also broken as well just adding more of "was this play tested at all?" in your mind. Like the wood I got more then 2 but the ui only can display only have 2 bits of wood what is not true.

- Map doesn't show where you are, like excuse me are we in 2010 or older!? its 2025 for crying out loud if you do a map it should show you where you are.

The game is very cute and looks great at times but honestly it's not very fun game to play at all, not even the story what seems its far too 6 year old written, I can't see hardly anything that suggests this could be fun for anyone.

So this really has become my worst game I've played this year of 2025, hurts to say but its the truth. I was going to buy this believe it or not, had this on my steam wishlist for about 2 years or so and it just so happen there was a limited time to pick this up for free little while ago, and so I did. So annoying I know this review isn't going to be counted into the overall score review since it had to be marked as a gifted/free gotten game for me. But that hasn't stopped me from making it known. Or at least to my steam friends that this is a game to avoid wasting your time on. Unless they do lot of updates to this game. What isn't likely, seems Chibig had moved on to working on other games of clearly reusing stuff from this game in lot of their newer games made. Like Mika and The Witch's Mountain. Guess what? Has a map that shows you were you are! Wow if only they added that to this game but nope just leaving it like this.

Me encantó este juego de principio a fin, lo he rejugado muchas veces, siento que alivia mi corazón cuando lo juego. La estética es encantadora y adorable, la progresión del juego tranquila y suave, me encanta el tema de ir en barquito por ahí y navegar tranquilamente por el mapa, luego a parte tener tu islita para cultivar y gestionar tus cositas. La historia me gusta mucho, aunque parezca visualmente un juego de niños, siento que es algo que un adulto perfectamente podría disfrutar, no se siente tan "infantil" por así decirlo. Lo recomiendo. This is a very barren and basic farm life sim.

[b]Review[/b]

I have played well over 500 bad games and Summer in Mara still managed to surprise me with some its design elements. There are no graphics options, just a single slider labelled "Quality". The map doesn't show your location. To confirm actions it shows the left mouse button highlighted with "Accept" next to it. Clicking doesn't confirm, you actually have to click on Accept (lol).

There are also more familiar bad design elements. There is a completely pointless crafting timer despite time being paused. To change the handful of setting you have to quit to the main menu. Controls cannot be changed, which is especially annoying because i wanted to use left-click to interact (i.e. cut trees) instead of E. Cutting trees also involves press E and waiting several seconds three times per tree. And then you have to pick up the wood manually too. There is also no run toggle so you have to hold Shift for the entire game. Finally, even the translation is flawed; you "eat" drinks.

The story and quests are also impressively bad. Right after the tutorial part there is a timeskip which is not indicated at all. You wake up and suddenly it's years later? Literally nothing showed the passage of time. Then at some point your character goes "wow look at the light on the beach" and you have to find it. There is no light, just a tiny octopus in the water. The next night the game tells you to talk to "Napopo" with no indication who that is or where they are.

I haven't even mentioned how this looks like an asset flip from at least 15 years ago, with irrelevant music and no voice acting. I wouldn't recommend this even if you got it for free.

[b]I generally had a rule when writing reviews that if there is any value in a game, I’ll give it a thumbs up no matter what and then just say what’s wrong in it down the line. However, I just can’t recommend this one in good faith – I feel like you just won’t have much fun.[/b]

Koa follows in her alien grandma’s footsteps to explore and protect the waters of Mara. Will she be able to balance taking care of her family island with the incoming alien danger threatening the peaceful land?

What’s actually interesting is that most of the game is actually a visual novel – characters will send you on errands between each other because they are lazy fu.cks that have a very important task of standing in one place all day. You’ll spend most of the time on conversations with them.

Now the writing itself is alright, some of these questlines are nice and have lovely endings, for a children’s game at least. It’s just to get to them you have to get through an enormous amount of boring fetch quests. It is shocking how many times I said to myself “WHAT?! I JUST TALKED TO THAT GUY AND NOW I HAVE TO RUN BACK?!” - that guy being some pink, gay-looking bank teller who has no trouble exploiting a minor with the role of an unpaid errand girl or [b]a fisherman who is actually, indeed gay,[/b] literally asking you to make him a sandwich. In the dialogues these people do mention things regarding their history or the lore of Mara, but the “gameplay” itself is just running around back and forth between the same people. It’s tedious and some useless mechanics make it even worse.

The main plot is inoffensive; the writing is perfect for some kind of kids' TV series. It is alright for some fully fledged farming game, which is not what we have here. Also, how often these people use and cheat Koa out of money and resources is ridiculous.

One part of the gameplay is your home island – you have patches on which you can plant various seeds, trees from which you get wood and even some ore veins lying around. You can decorate the island with objects and build structures improving your farm, like stables, chicken coops or mine entrances, albeit in fixed locations on the island. You can also plant exotic trees that will later bear fruit. This farming aspect is far from the worst part of the game, but it does not feel too engaging either. Once you reap some vegetables and store them for future quests, you don’t feel too inclined to farm more, even for trading as money is relatively easy to earn outside of your home. A lot of the plants you sort of just get, without the need to grow them. Going back to the home island just kind of felt like a chore – you do it mostly because a quest needs you to build or grow something there and because it is the only place where you can upgrade tools. It is cozy and nice, but you won’t be spending much time on it, unless you’re some decoration-placing nut.

The other part of the game is visiting different islands of Mara. A lot of them are unique, with curious landmarks and useful items to find. You have endless inventory, besides most items capping at 99. No weight limit or better backpacks, just grab whatever you want - and I really liked that. I think visiting different islands and foraging whatever I could find was the most enjoyable part of the game for me – even though some islands and objects require boat or tool upgrades first. There are fishing spots in which you can catch specific fish through an obligatory-farming-game minigame.

Questing was bothersome not only because most of it is boring running back and forth but also because it is the only way to progress – you are not able to work towards anything outside of quests. Recipes for upgrades you get from quests, finding new items also requires you to progress through quests, and boat upgrades are the same. The game is pretty much automated through telling you to just go and talk to someone, occasionally with some items – well, automated besides you having to do all the running around. Also, the rewards are not always transparent – if you want a better hoe, you have no idea which quests to complete first, as these blueprints are awarded only after finishing them as a surprise.

There are a lot of mechanics that just feel like a bummer. There is an energy bar which you can replenish with food, but if you don’t it will just reset your position on the island and fast forward to morning. No real repercussions for total exhaustion, which just feels like it stops you in whatever you’re doing. Exhaustion mechanics should have some point in them, like pushing you to go to sleep to progress through the seasons like in Stardew Valley. There are no other seasons in Mara. There is fuel for the boat, which is free to replenish at temples – again, just stops you in your tracks. The only fast travel option is to go back to the city and that costs money. All of these things make the already egregious fetch questing of this game even more bothersome.

[b]I want to mention the strongest side of this game – the art.[/b] And I’m not even talking about the game looking pretty and colorful besides some stiff animations. I’m talking about the drawings of characters, designs of objects, loading screen art – and especially the two animated cutscenes. They are absolutely beautiful, fitting for some actual TV show. Also, you can unlock new backpacks and clothes for Koa – the changes are even shown in dialogue sprites.

The music is pretty chill. At first, I thought every character had a unique theme, but not really. The tracks are pretty nice, even though they get repetitive after a while. Sound effects are generally cool, besides the crafting sound being kind of loud and obnoxious.

In the end, I think the concept is really cool – a farming game in which besides your home island that you develop, you visit and explore all other parts of the archipelago. Sadly, it feels poorly executed with most of the time spent at useless running between NPCs and reading dialogues like in a visual novel. I don’t know who it was meant for, as kids will probably get bored with reading, and adults with the lack of gameplay. The game has beautiful art in it and an alright writing – what needs to be improved upon is the actual gameplay loop – as in, make a fun video game, not a visual novel interrupted by hours of running around.

Summer in Mara — это уютная приключенческая игра с элементами крафта и симулятора жизни, которая переносит вас на красочный островной архипелаг. Я прошёл игру на 100 %, и могу сказать, что она оказалась одновременно лёгкой и в то же время с небольшими сложными достижениями.
Что понравилось:
Атмосфера и визуальный стиль. Яркие острова, море, солнечные пляжи — игра дарит настоящий летний вайб.
Исследование и крафт. Постройка всех зданий на своём острове, сбор ресурсов и создание предметов делают игровой процесс увлекательным.
Достижения и челленджи. Некоторые достижения оказались неожиданно сложными:
La Isla Bonita — построить все основные здания на Home Island.
That Old Song — исполнить старую морскую песню на базе.
Sea Terror — поймать рыбу каждого типа. Эти задачи требуют внимательности и терпения.
Что не понравилось:
Иногда крафт и поиск ресурсов становятся немного однообразными.
Некоторые достижения слишком зависят от удачи (например, ловля всех видов рыбы).
Итог:
Summer in Mara — тёплая, расслабляющая игра для любителей исследовать мир, заниматься крафтом и наслаждаться атмосферой. Для получения 100 % достижений придётся постараться, особенно с редкими заданиями, но в целом игра остаётся приятной и ненапряжной. Рекомендую всем, кто любит лёгкие приключения с красивой графикой и милыми персонажами.

Esse jogo é maravilhoso. Eu adorei a forma que a história é contada, os gráficos são lindos, a jogabilidade é muito legal e o sistema de exploração é muito divertido. Uma coisa chata é quando você fecha o jogo: a personagem dorme automaticamente, mas não recupera energia. Parece muito um walking simulator em certas partes por terem missões que você só anda muito pra várias direções. E além disso tudo, o jogo tem legendas em português! Jogo longo que pessoas com diligência conseguiriam completar (e chei de bug também)

Je mets un avis positif sur le jeu mais mon avis est très très mitigé. L'histoire est assez sympa et touchante mais les quêtes sont très souvent du "vas me chercher ceci", "vas donner ceci à un tel", etc. Pour le coup, la majorité des quêtes étaient assez inintéressantes. La quête principale avait un bon fond cependant.
Le 100% n'est pas très difficile sauf qu'il faut finir les quêtes de chaque personnage et cela semble infini...

Игра полностью проходится на 100% на данном устройстве. Не знаю почему игра позначена как недоступна на деке. Лагов нет, вылетов нет, каких либо сбоев нет.

[h3]Об игре[/h3]
Милая, умиротворённая, релаксирующая, ламповая, можно много подобных слов приводить к этой игре как она и позначена в Steam как "расслабляющая"
История о девочке и её путешествию по Маре (то ли название планеты то ли океана) в поисках приключений. По началу мне показалось что это будет больше выживание, но это скорее просто приключенческая фарм игра с квестами в стиле ммо где есть куча персонажей каждому что-то принеси и отнеси. Атмосфера у игры достаточно летняя но есть и холодные локации. Графика хорошая, модельки персонажей неплохие, но вот анимации персонажа и расстянутые текстуры гор подбешивают.

Сюжет почти всегда держит в интересе, было интересно даже выполнять побочные квесты некоторых персонажей, но только некоторых. Вообще с персонажами странная тема, почти все персонажи тут максимально мудачески относятся к ГГ, она не единственный человек в игре (всего двоя увидела) но конкретно к нам всегда относятся предвзято и с надзирательством. Все тебя посылают куда подальше, обращаются как с псиной бездомной, даже подруга бабушки главной героини ну вот слишком перегибает палку. Не знаю специально ли был сделан такой характер многим, но даже так все персонажи выглядят хорошо. Спрайты красивые, характеры и взаемосвязи установлены, почти каждый имеет какое-то значение и нужен для чего либо.

Что по окружающему миру. Его интересно исследовать и он не сразу весь открывается из за чего хочется улучшать свою лодку, свои инструменты и плыть всё дальше. К сожалению большинство островов после первого исследования в дальнейшем становятся бесполезными по большей части. На карте также появляются НПС пираты (добрые) которые дают квесты, и от их квестов горит одно место, но не из за того что они тяжёлые, а потому что их потом чтобы сдать нужно снова же найти этого пирата, а они постоянно плавают в разных местах и в одном месте может быть пират, а потом исчезнуть от туда. На карте они не показываются.

Ферма чаще всего используется конкретно для выполнения квеста, а не для продажи или пропитания, ведь ты скорее продашь ненужные ракушки втридорога чем отдашь все свои апельсины которые потом кто-то потребует в качестве квеста.

Отдельная похвала от меня за анимационные вставки, они были очень красивыми и живыми. Надеюсь художники/аниматоры (или кто там занимался этим) нашли своё место в анимации более крупных проектов.

[h3]Минусы[/h3]
Игра очень красива для своего стиля, но с технической стороны она сделана ужасно.. в игре огроооомное количество багов. Баг за багом игра однажды умудрилась убить моего персонажа что казалось бы невозможно (я застряла в текстурах и захлебнулась в воде). Ты можешь застрять в текстурах ну вот где угодно если это не равнина, город Келис где происходят события игры это огромный капкан с маленькими капканятами, тебя может забрать в себя что угодно: вот перепрыгиваешь через забор и недолетаешь застреваешь в нём; решил по водоканалу пройти - застрял в бордюре и т.д
Также невидимые стены, их очень много в неуместных местах. По факту в этой игре их вообще не должно быть, они нигде не нужны ведь если бы не баг с текстурами то здесь не было бы куда убежать или где застрять. Невидимые стены есть даже блин на камнях главного города, при чём на этой невидимой стене можно походить ведь она как бы выпирает из под низу камня.
Баги с квестами тоже был, у меня не было барабана в инвентаре для квеста, но я отдала его... (Кайф что не пришлось его делать :3)

Стамина в игре странным образом работает, иногда приходится жрать еду даже когда у тебя полная сытость, просто чтобы восполнить стамину. Стамина сама тратиться на каждый пук, ударил дерево (даже не сломав полностью) и минус стамина. Баланс сна очень странно работает, в игре есть платный номер, дом, палатка, мешок для сна и корабль, и прикол такой что всё кроме дома и платного номера востанавливает 50% стамины, но тогда почему корабль доступен с начала игры, мешок к середине, а палатка в конце?

Очень медленное передвежение по карте и по островам. Острова бываю огромны, особенно Келис, не хватает каких-нибудь роликов, велосипеда? А на карте не хватает скорости лодки, на поздних этапах когда открыта вся карта, скорость очень важный аспект которого не хватает.

Можно обсуждать ещё много разных недочётов, но даже так игру получается пройти без особых проблем.

[h3]Итого[/h3]
Красивая и расслабляющая игра но очень забагованная. Прекрасные (ещё раз повторю) анимационные вставки (к сожалению их вроде две всего за игру). Не сложный, но требующий внимания и понимания экономики, геймплей. Много багов и иногда медленные похождения туда сюда. В итоге игру я посоветую, мне понравилась на 7.7/10 где-то так, но разработчикам я посоветую брать больше тестировщиков или хотя бы самим играть в свою игру перед выпуском, ведь по тому что я сыграла кажется будто создателей детских историй посадили за компьютер в компании с художниками.

The game is very cute and looks great but honestly it's not very fun to play. It's very clunky and unpolished back and forth running fetch quests. Not fun at all.

Controller sensitivity is off the roof and can't even change it. Settings are in main menu but still can't change them.

Очень нудный и плохо оптимизированный симулятор "принеси-подай". Персонажи не раскрыты, сюжет существует только в рамках квестов, но в целом неписям будет на вас всё равно большую часть времени. Игра дроп

I really wanted to like Summer in Mara, but honestly, it’s just not worth it. The controller support is a complete disaster no matter what you plug in or how many fixes you try, it never works properly.
You end up fighting the game instead of enjoying it.
What makes it worse is the devs have clearly walked away from this project. No updates, no fixes, no communication. If you hit a bug (and you will), that’s it! Your save or your progress is basically screwed.

It could’ve been a chill farming/adventure game, but in its current state it just feels abandoned. Save yourself the frustration.

Es un juego muy divertido, estaria genial y molaria que se pudiera jugar cooperativo multijugador desde 2 a 4 jugadores si te gustan juegos como el stardew valley, que tenes plantar hacer cosechas, misioens y encargos este juego te parecera muy guay, yo pude pillar en un promocion que hizo fanatical que nos regalo keys el 11 de agosto 2025, yo le avise a mis amistades que lo consiguieran, esta muy divertido, se los recomiendo.
Lo genial es su precio sale 20 dolares pero en ofertas de steam podes conseguirlo a 6 dolares, aprobechen cuando pueda, me encuentra en redes como @denisgeekcine por si les apetece y quieren jugar juegos, saludos desde donde estes leyendo esto ten un bonito dia y bendiciones.

这是一个披着农场外衣的跑路游戏，种地养殖占比很少，几乎不用，人物生存难度为零，随便摘桔子就能活。任务系统很不自由，要按照他给的顺序做，跟线性游戏差不多。有些任务前期就接到了，但是要以后才能做，比如找螃蟹任务。还有几个任务的NPC之间就几步的距离，也要玩家去传话，很离谱。游戏任务的描述太笼统，导致找不到目标，网上攻略也少，冷门游戏就这样了。但是也是有优点的，画风不错，主角可爱，跑步很快可以一直跑，背包很大不会背包危机，没啥BUG，三方价格便宜。
