Very enjoyable. Somewhat clunky but fun multiplayer option.
I find the improvements from Jedi Knight Outcast, especially in variations of lightsaber combat, to be a great addition. Enjoy the slight RP-aspect of making choices later in the game.

Już od jakiegoś czasu czekałem na to, aby zagrać w tę grę.
Zakupiłem klucz, co polecam także innym użytkownikom. Zacząłem od przeglądnięcia ustawień, co jest typowe dla starszych gier. W ustawieniach zmieniłem kilka opcji i przeszedłem do gry.

Tworząc postać zdziwiłem się jak mało opcji personalizacji znalazło się w tej grze, co warto zabrać pod uwagę.
Po stworzeniu postaci zaczeła się fabuła. Ekran przerywnika filmowego strasznie migał, co nie występowało w następnych przerywnikach, ale warto o tym wiedzieć. Już od samego początku gra wpycha nam na ekran milion znanych postaci, odgłosów i nawet nie ukrytych easter eggów. Podziwiam easter eggi w andorze (serial), za to że nie są nachalne (np produkty w sklepie Luthena w które mogę sie zagłębić lub nie, ale nie są one wpychane na siłę). W tej grze co chwile spotykamy znane postacie i słyszymy znane dialogi. Np w misji na tatooine głowny bohater widząc droida wspomina "To nie jest droid którego szukam!" Co jest oczywistym zawiązaniem do Nowej Nadziei.

W misji pierwszej na tatooine zginałem wiele razy i cofałem sie do checkpointa i musiałem znowu oglądać długi przerywnik filmowy z tej planety (dlatego polecam zapisywać grę).

Patrząc bardziej optymistycznie: system walki jest zrobiony bardzo dobrze. Można używać mocy na bardzo wiele sposobów i pokonać nawet kompana co bardzo mnie rozbawiło. Interakcja miecza z otoczeniem jest świetna. Wszystko co nim dotkniemy, a nawet nie uderzymy, dostaje iskry. Możemy odbijać się na głowach kompanów jak na trampolinach, co mnie rozbawiło. Większość mechanik jest zrobiona dobrze, ale fabuła mocno spycha tą grę w dół. Mamy na końcu wybór moralny (ciemna lub jasna strona) który wpływa mocno na póżniejszą rozgrywkę, ale tylko na chwilę, bo po napisach końcowych gra całkowicie się kończy i nie mamy takiego free world czy coś. Możemy stworzyć nową postać i tyle.

Podsumowując: Jeśli jesteś fanem star wars mozesz spróbować ze względu na świetne mechaniki walki mieczem, ale fabularnie gra raczej cie nie zachwyci. Ocena końcowa 4/10

I like it but movie battles 2 is full of corny losers who havent stood up from their chair in 20 years, the moment i boot up the game i can just smell the funk of their body odor coming through my screen, i have never seen such a sweaty and toxic trash community in my entire life, i can never join a lobby without some miserable prick with doodoo crumbs in his boxers just sprinting over to me with his FISTS and literally beating me to death as i helplessly swing at him with a lightsaber, it makes no sense, its a shame because this game has so much potential to be fun, but you sweaty ass cornballs just ruin it cus you play like your families lives are at risk.

I went in not expecting much, but its actually quite fun! The jedi battles are pretty chaotic. Sometimes it doesn't quite feel fair especially 1v3s but its still fun. Quick save often is really necessary to get through this! I used JKs remaster mod with 4k textures and wow this game can look pretty good! Definitely recommend. Its also kind of funny because several times I could not figure out where to go and not realizing that you could jump on things you definitely would not be able to in this day and age...theres no yellow paint. So several times I was like thats out of bounds I'll die and sure enough you can go there. Kinda funny.

The game's phenomenal in certain aspects and it's utter nonsense in other aspects, even if the experience overall is still enjoyable. Extremely overrated saber combat, dumb and exploitable bots in MP (multiplayer), average at best AI in SP (singleplayer)... it's a very uneven experience. Some things are great, some things are roughly average, and some things are plain nonsense. The best aspects are technical and artistic. Raven Software clearly did their best to make this game great but they clearly stumbled upon realistic constraints and limitations. The sheer idea behind the game is fantastic but the actual reality of playing the game is really average at best. If STAR WARS setting wasn't executed so flawlessly, the whole game would be just an average jank with melee combat being esoterically nonsense but somehow actually skill-based and shooter part being done well but, in practice, actually not working well (not being as fun as it could be). It's like everything this game does well is constantly undermined by what this game does badly or by what needs further polish. The only thing keeping things together and preventing them from falling apart is the atmosphere and the subjective feel of everything, that fuels the whole experience and makes it great in the first place.

I recommend it because I was having great fun playing it despite everything. But strip it of all the setting and you get a game that couldn't sell otherwise, it's really this bad, it only sells because of being STAR WARS and being good at being STAR WARS. I'm still confused on how you can make something a total jank and it's still one of the most enjoyable games in existence. Well, Rebel Forces is another example, I guess, so this is all part of a bigger, general pattern.

Isso faz com que o jogo fique em 1920x1080 e permite que o fps chegue em até 162fps, altere essas configs para o jeito que achar melhor.

Sempre que entrar no jogo e ficar com a câmera muito acima do personagem, abra o console (Shift + ') e use o seguinte comando

Isso arruma o FOV para funcionar bem com resolução widescreen.

A sequel to Jedi Outcast that falls flat where it matters.
When Academy came out it must have been all about the multiplayer, the combat is excellent for how old the game is, further adding onto Outcast. Now you have the option to swing from 3 stances, and have the selection between single/2 sabers or double bladed as you progress. Many animations and movement sequences that carried the game. Also the character and saber customization is nice, like that you can customize and 2 different saber for your run.

Where I felt disappointed was the story and level designs.
Many missions felt like a side quest and didn't really contribute to the focal point of the story between Katarn and his padawans, most were run in and clean up the stormtroopers and sith hit the button and leave. The main missions were more in-depth, but had typical level design that was linear and easy, never got stumped by a puzzle or odd backtracking which is good, but felt like a dumbed down hack and slash instead.

Though I enjoyed the story and game itself, I wish Raven kept to standard Outcast had only a year prior.

So I have a love hate relationship with this game. First off I do love and enjoy the feel of being a jedi and swinging your lightsaber, but that is about it. I understand this is a very dated game so I gave it the benifit of the doubt, but it is a bit rough for today's age. What I did not like about the game is that the tutorial does not teach you anything other than to move, attack, and use basic force powers. I wish the tutorial taught me that I could wall run or even wall jump (found those out randomly after 12 or so missions), how to change between force powers, what any of the item pick ups are and what they do, or ways to interact with the environment and what the green and orange boxes do (had to look up what those did online). I also wish they taught you more about lightsaber combat. Some battles last up to a minute while others are over in 2 seconds. Checkpoints are far and few between making you have to save after every battle to not have to do them all over again. Its an okay game long as you go in understanding it is rough around the edges.

been having the time of my life with this and im not even a deep deep star wars fan..

one of raven's finest efforts, and aided by an insane amount of mods.

i didnt have a pc growing up on the 90s, until late 2000s that was capable of gaming so i missed out on a lot of games like this.

i can see why people would've gone to expand this tp multiplayer/roleplaying stuff.

some of the best games ive ever played have been star wars games like kotor and kotor2, ♥♥♥♥ even the ps1 game for phantom menace had such.

a game with soul. banger.

if you're new to this, get the jedi knight enhanced mod. thats all you need. want more? jesus the world is your oyster. theres a lot.

Juegazo que te hace sentir en la piel de un Jedi a full
una jugabilidad muy paspada que muchas veces te va a hacer odiar el juego, pero cuando le agarras la mano te envicias, tiene algunos niveles que son geniales y otros que son un embole, hay variedad

lo mejor es que gracias a steam imput se puede jugar con joystick tranquilamente, recomiendo la configuración "radicalender's Bindings" tiene la configuración estandar con los botones basicos bien configurados y mover la camara con el stick derecho, ya para acciones mas especificas podes configurar cada boton a tu gusto

muy recomendado siempre con cabeza de que estas jugando un juego viejo y las fisicas y muchas cosas a veces fallan, claro predecesor del Star Wars Jedi fallen orden y Jedi survivor

PD: vas a perder muchas veces y vas a terminar odiando el grito de tu personaje cuando muere

Countless playthroughs and I keep coming back to the vanilla goodness that is this game. It improved in its gameplay a fair amount compared to its early predecessors and truly felt freeing when it came out. Still holds up in the lightsaber battles, the best we'll probably ever get. Though "Jedi Outcast" always felt like it had better set pieces, making lightsaber battles feel more important in an aesthetic sense. The things "Jedi Academy" adds though are fun, offering a little more depth.

At first glance might not appear great, but in overall is good. Different locations scenery and many aspects to lightsaber fights (many missions were actually impressive, considering it was made over 20 years ago) also follows the Dark Forces series which i had played when i was younger - played this one out of curiosity. Have not checked out thoroughly yet, but there might be good mods for this game available.

I find it annoying how almost every enemy is a sith lord in this game, theres little to no variety of foes like we see in the movies just sith sith sith. You even turn into a damn sith at the end if don't pick the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ abilities that stun people for a second and do nothing.

I love it when a game series improves with every new iteration, although, this was the last of the (2) Jedi Knight games. And where the Jedi Outcast playthrough was dropped after 4 hours, Academy found me wanting to play through it again immediately, but it isnt without some serious flaws.

There are a couple of segments in the game that i just thought sucked major ass. Like the speeder level, all you do is drive a (very) janky thing until you get to the end, thats it, nothing else and then theres the tomb level, where there are sith enemies scattered throughout, super annoying to fight, at least until you start doing the best move in the game... crouch and hold the attack button, extra effective with double swords, not tested with the staff saber, but i will probably do that on my next playthrough. Just do that and you dont really have to do much else, i love that its there, feels like you can start to breathe again after you find out you can do that. Does it make the game trivial? nope, play on harder difficulty, problem solved.

Compared to JO (Jedi Outcast) this game is improved in every way, better combat, better enemy AI, less floaty movement (not entirely gone, but at least its better than JO) and ofc you start with the sword, and the temple levels are massively better than JO.

My enjoyment score for this game is 80%

It has aged very much like its predecessor, but not as badly.
The saber "combat" is just constant wailing and nothing else, i dont think it has ever been done well in any game. Takes about 8 hours to finish.

Наверное это эталон старого гейм дизайна. Сейчас таких игр не делают.

Так и не довелось мне пройти эту игру в детстве, зато с лихвой наверстал сейчас.
Это отличный экшн по вселенной Звездных Войн. Для своего времени неплохая графика, которая сейчас даже с разными улучшаторами очень вырвиглазна. Играть как раз рекомендую со всевозможными патчами и фиксами, потому что игра в базовой версии совсем не дружит с современными компами. Геймплей неплох, но некоторые уровни очень душны. В некоторых местах неудобный платформинг, а прыгать придется очень много. Стрельба из широкого арсенала весьма приятна, но зачем она нужна, когда мы играем за джедая? Только в паре миссий нас заставят играть в шутер, 90% геймплея же будет с использованием светового меча. Бои сделаны довольно зрелищно и напряженно, но есть большое влияние рандома. Иногда случайные удары ваншотят как противника так и игрока. Использование сил тоже весьма приятное, особенно на максимальной прокачке. Одной молнией можно вычищать комнаты за секунду, особо душных ситхов можно попытаться скинуть с обрыва или в лаву.
Что до сюжета? Он есть. Не слишком сильный, временами скучный. Просто связка между разными миссиями. Встретим много старых знакомых из фильмов и прочих произведений о Звездных Войнах.
Что насчет звуков и музыки? Они абсолютно такие же, как в любой другой игре по этому сеттингу.
Стоит ли играть в эту игру сейчас? Да, если вы интересуетесь вселенной Звездных Войн, и если вы не играли в эту игру раньше, но напоминаю, придется поискать фиксы, иначе столкнетесь с вылетами и прочими неприятностями.

This is the best star wars game without a doubt, and one of the best games of all time. The combat alone makes it better than 95% of games. We will never get another Star Wars game that plays this well ever again, and that's sad. Respawn would rather make God of War 2018 and Dark Souls amalgamations.

This game is really old. I found that once in a while, a cut scene will be just the people staring at each other, not saying anything. If you push Enter on your keyboard, it will skip the scene. You have to SAVE ALL THE TIME. This game doesn't have a map so that you will get lost and confused. Once you find the main path, it's easy, but there are some things you need to do that aren't obvious, like using a giant gun on a downed ship to shoot down an AT-AT.

Really great game. I've played it so many times that I've lost count. There are no games like it anymore. In my opinion, this one is ahead of its time. For those years, these graphics, sound, movements, all kinds of gameplay...Brilliant. At least if they had made the new 3 movies about the games Jedi Knight, they would certainly be many times more interesting than the current garbage.They don't make games as interesting anymore as this one, which you'll remember after 20 years. None of today's games offer what a 23-year-old game has. If they made it with today's graphics, I'm sure it would be an incredible success. Multiplayer It was also incredible and fun.

绝地学院无疑是做的最好的星战动作游戏之一，或许没有之一，我直接爽玩一天。

光剑对决：首先是光剑伤害很真实，光剑触碰物体和人带来的灼烧效果，一刀一个风暴兵还有断肢，这些都是其他星战游戏没能做到的。除此之外，本作还有多种类型的光剑和不同剑式，对应光剑类型有自己的剑式特点，尽管单剑的几种剑式动作略有雷同，但是也只是小问题。不同剑式在对敌时也有不同效果，这些可以由玩家自己判断，什么时候用什么剑式。除剑式以外还有各种动作，如侧身翻和空翻，踩墙跳等等，将动作与剑式结合发展自己的常胜连招。

原力技能：玩家可以选择光明或黑暗面的原力招式，在游戏里还原电影中出现过的维达的原力锁喉和ppt的原力闪电，实在帅爆。在这里非常推荐新入坑的玩家在中期学习原力吸收和原力防护，这两个技能在后期非常有用，一开始可以学习一些原力闪电锁喉之类的，让前期爽玩。

剧情有自己可以选择的分支，一开始自己摸索可能和我一样会围着十几小时打完。

一些缺点：
1.后期任务重复度高，偶尔来一些boss战和逃脱战，以及一些载具驾驶，剩下的就是到处找钥匙开门布置炸药啥的，本来是没啥问题的，但是结合下边第二三点来说就有点难受
2.任务引导极其抽象，原力感知技能并没有在任务引导上发挥什么作用。大多数时间我都浪费在到底要干什么才能继续探索这件事上，解谜需要做的事情基本靠自己猜。应该走的路完全没有与其他地方做区分，特别是最后一关这个问题十分明显，连续让我难绷两次，根本猜不到要如何抵达目标位置。举个简单例子，一个人看到一个里边是碎石头的坑，首先想的会是怎么不掉下去，而不是下边肯定有路。与此同时，一个从玩家视角来看就是半埋的钢管里边居然会有路，关键是里边向上的坡奇妙地形成了这个空间是封闭的错觉，再加上玩家需要反复按蹲才能进去，根本不会想到要走那。
3.后期大把大把的黑暗绝地，基本都会原力锁喉和原力闪电，不会的旁边还得配个会的，搞得我感觉这两招都有点掉价了。同时在这里告诉大家，一定要勤存档啊，一定要勤存档...

总之这个游戏依旧是我最喜欢的星战游戏，瑕不掩瑜，玩完的朋友们可以试着玩玩电影对决模组，b站上搜搜能找到的。想玩原版找不到汉化补丁的，这里：/s/11DUZEN3My3a45fxssnZX3Q提取码：t06r

Jedi Academy is, by far, one of my favorite classic Star Wars titles, and I think it definitely deserves more credit for how good it is.

[b] Summary [/b]
The Jedi Knight series of games has always been solid and decently well-regarded. For the time, they each had fun combat, and once lightsabers were introduced, things only got better from there. I think Jedi Academy is truly the strongest of the series. Being released so close to Jedi Knight II [b] does [/b] mean that the two games feel very similar, but I don't think this is a bad thing.

[b] Story [/b]
The story of Jedi Academy allows for players with little or no knowledge of the previous installments to jump in pretty quickly and understand the gist of what is going on. While the voice acting isn't perfect, several characters have fun moments, and the storytelling overall doesn't suffer too much for it. The writing itself isn't overly complicated, and I think this works in the game's favor. The story is interesting enough to hold your attention, but not so complicated that you can't just get to the action.

[b] Combat [/b]
The combat in the game is fun, albeit a little bit "swing with wild abandon." The mix of lightsaber and shooter combat is fun, and I think this is one of the strong points. Learning which weapons are good for which enemies can make it a significantly easier time. Lightsaber combat is surprisingly complex, but the engine itself doesn't exactly support that well. Blades actually collide and bounce off of each other, and movement direction determines how you swing. It all sounds great in theory, but it ends up feeling more-or-less like you're just swinging and backing off at the right moments. (I also might just be terrible at it, lol.) The engine limits the combat in some other ways, but it feels like a good combat system for 2003.

[b] Cons? [/b]
Surprisingly, this port doesn't really have many performance issues. It doesn't support all modern resolutions, but the limited sizes still allow for decent up-scaling. I don't think I can remember having any crash issues before or currently.

One of the biggest complaints that I have is that some of the levels just suck [spoiler] (looking at you Rancor) [/spoiler]. Most of the levels are fun, and progression is even enough to figure out. There are one or two that feel like a slog, but with the large number of missions available throughout the game, I think this is acceptable. There's also a ton of online guides that can make these levels much quicker. Also, save often. This game has silly physics and scarce checkpoints.

Jedi Academy is far from perfect, but I think it is easily worth playing if you are a Star Wars fan, or a fan of shooters from this era. It's truly a fun experience, and I would love to see a remaster of this full series eventually.

Fascinated by the guy who thought an extensive gunplay suite was the call for a game where you have a lightsaber from frame one. It's the best laser sword combat game in all of Star Wars media but admittedly that's not a terribly high bar to clear, even when I'm winning I still feel like I'm pressing the wrong buttons somehow, and when the higher tiers of sith warriors come at you there's this weird feeling that they're reading your inputs or something rather than being more competent opponents.

Неустаревающая классика. Уникальные возможности пользования Силы и безбашенные (иногда буквально), дуэли на световых мечах. А если поставить моды на повышенный урон от них + расчленение, то полноценный симулятор джедая получится. Так ни в одной другой последующей игре по ЗВ больше сделать не получится.
