STAR WARS™: Bounty Hunter™ es ese recordatorio retro de que, antes de que todo fuera “mundo abierto con 300 marcadores”, bastaba con ponerte un jetpack, una pistola y una licencia moral dudosa para ir por la galaxia repartiendo justicia… o cobrando por ella. Es acción y aventura en tercera persona: disparos, plataformas 3D y peleas en escenarios de ciencia ficción con robots y criminales que claramente no leyeron el manual de “cómo no asomarse cuando te están apuntando”.

La propuesta es simple y efectiva: cazar objetivos, sobrevivir a tiroteos, moverte entre secciones de plataformas y sentirte el tipo más rudo del espacio… hasta que el juego te recuerda que viene de la era “te caíste, repite” y que tu ego no tiene Steam Cloud (pero tus partidas sí). Primera impresión: encanto clásico con filo oxidado, como un bláster viejo que aún funciona… pero te quema la mano.

Lo No Tan Bueno:
❌ Comunidad microscópica: 6 jugadores actuales… si estornudas, se te va la mitad 😬
❌ Es un juego de un jugador: si buscabas presumir tu “skill” en línea, aquí solo te aplaude el eco 🥲
❌ Diseño retro: a ratos se siente “clásico” y a ratos “por algo evolucionamos” 🧱
❌ Rejugabilidad limitada: una vez que lo terminas, lo que te queda es cazar logros o recuerdos 🔁

STAR WARS™: Bounty Hunter™ es como ese casco viejo que te queda genial… pero por dentro ya huele a 2002. Si te gusta la acción en tercera persona con aventura, plataformas y tiroteos, aquí hay una experiencia clara y con personalidad. No intenta reinventar nada, y curiosamente eso le juega a favor: vas a lo que vas, a cazar.

Ahora, seamos controversiales: la comunidad actual de 6 jugadores es un chiste cósmico. Pero también es irrelevante si lo tuyo es el single player, y este juego lo es con todas sus letras. Que tenga 1028 recomendaciones totales habla de un cariño real… aunque parte de ese cariño viene de la nostalgia y de perdonarle cosas que hoy no le perdonarías ni a un tutorial.

Si te irrita el diseño de otra época o buscas algo que se sienta actual, este cazarrecompensas no te va a convencer: te va a cobrar paciencia… y no acepta excusas.

I don't know how a game about Jango Fett can be such a mediocre experience.

"Oh but it is a 20 year old game" is a bs excuse, this game came out around the time when games like Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, Knights of the Old Republic, Battlefront, Republic Commando etc. etc. came out and all of them outshine this game in every possible way.

The gameplay is repetitive to say the least, the enemies are just running at you most of the time and they keep respawning, a lot in some areas and can easily overrun you. Now this normally wouldn't be a problem if the main pistols weren't awful and if we had a better arsenal overall. The enemies are just brainless bullet sponge grunts that just run at you and shoot or swing they melee, that's it. Pretty much one enemy type through out the game, by the time I reached chapter 3, I was already bored out of my mind and not sure if I have any will to finish the game.

The whole bounty system is terrible, if you are going for 100% achievements, have fun scanning every npc you come across, even the hostile ones that are shooting at you. You have to, put away your firearms, scan them and claim them before capturing them or killing them. You're going to have so much fun when there is 30 of them in the room shooting at you and you have to scan every single one individually to determine if they have a bounty or not.

The jetpack is the biggest joke in this game, this thing can barely last 3 seconds and at times you are not even flying, you are basically leaping from one platform to another with it.

The story, voice acting and characters are good and some interesting even, don't get me wrong. This game is such a wasted potential, Jango Fett is easily one of the most underrated characters in Star Wars and this game does his character justice, but is held back by all poor execution on the gameplay side of things.

If you still want to try this out, get it on sale.
