It is great, awesome arena game. In some points It reminds me Magicka but it's not the same. This game have a very good soundtrack. Nowadays It's hard to find game with such a good soundtrack, which fit just perfectly to the game and where the game action is taking place. Animation of throwing spells by character with some items in game are just incredibly realistic or maybe like wishes comes true. Someone did that to a point just like read from a book. It must be like that and you don't have anything to improve. It is astonishing. Well done.
It is like super extended version of some good old mini games I have encountered in the past of my life.

This is a very poor quality top down PvP arena brawler with a "wizards" theme as players (if there were any) would cast spells at each other, which is basically just a twin stick shooter with wands instead of guns. In the era of games like Counter-Strike 2, it's easy to see why this wasn't very successful and died out. The monetisation is also problematic.
Other problems include sloppy optimisation, bad netcode, no proper matchmaker... this was never a good game, and now it's dead.
So, "Spellsworn" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time!
[i]Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails.[/i] Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so.
Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost.
First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the Game. They lost that bet.
Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies.
Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game.
The graphics aren't great, low quality low poly count assets that wouldn't look out of place in a mobile app. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises.
You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me.
This game is fairly dated at 8 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now.
On the important matter of pricing and value for gamers, there's a lot going on here with monetisation, so this really shouldn't be considered a truly free product because of that.
There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $10 USD for this.
Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded.
Even after that, you're expected to pay up $8 USD to unlock content through DLC purchases. The game should not be considered completely unlocked until you empty your wallet for the developer. This is misleading and predatory pricing on a product falsely marketed as "free".
All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.

Hello. It is super cool game. But it has 2 big minuses:
1) 2 or 5 online ;(
yes. bots are interesting but they buy the same spells all time
2) there is no update ;(
what about new spells or passive or aura or new races (like elf, human, dwarf etc.)
But any way it is one of my favorite game)

Un petit party game basé sur Warlock de Warcraft III vraiment sympa, accessible mais pas pauvre. Les joueurs sont réunis dans une arène avec de la lave autour. Ils doivent se battre jusqu'à la mort avec l'arène qui rétrécit peu à peu. Le jeu propose du FFA et du TDM.
Vous pouvez acheter des sorts ou upgrade ceux qui vous avez déjà, jusqu'au niveau 3, offrant des bonus divers et variés (dégats, cooldown, portée et autres utilitaires). L'argent de départ et l'argent par round est réglable, vous pouvez moduler vos parties selon vos envies, qui peuvent aller de la dictature du choix au build complet dès le départ. Même avec seulement le sort de base, nous avons été surpris par l'intérêt de la proposition.
On s'amuse à expérimenter divers builds, divers sorts, et bien que l'équilibrage ne soit pas parfait, des préférences personnelles diverses se sont rapidement formées dans mon groupe.
Le jeu se télécharge en 20 secondes, il est gratuit. Réunissez vos copains et jouez quelques heures, ça n'engage pas à grand chose et c'est souvent dans la simplicité efficace que nous avons les expériences les plus amusantes en multijoueur.

I Just wanna say that despite of being dead game having approximately zero fan base but this is what is called a GEM the mechanics is smooth nevertheless simple, it offers different play styles through the variety of abbilities and how you use them I wanna thanks the developer and praise him man you made a great game may you go and build fascinating like this.

Grab some friends and smash each others faces in with spells and outplays. A very solid mixture of battle royale and a MOBA.
faithfull reproduction of the warcraft 3 warolcks mod with some new additional spells.
even with 75 ping the character is still very responsive. the lag percieved is minimal enough to not be an issue, unlike with warcraft 3.

its a remastered version of old WC3 custom map of Warlock Brawl. but its free!
