这个游戏最大的缺点，不是单调的模式也不是瞎眼的配色，而是令人崩溃不已的角色机动性。转个弯是如此的费劲，居然还有角度上限，离自己贼近的道具经常吃不到就是因为这个，简直尬死人而且居然还不支持连续吃，非得等主角的嘴巴动画播放完才能吃下一个道具；另外一个缺陷便是，道具的位置特别不明显，经常跑很远也未必能找到一个，那种闪烁的提示方式也是抽象到不行，居然还分Z轴层，而且即使是很近的层级也经常看不到一点，这也是很烦人了

总体来讲，宣发得很期待，玩起来相当失望，属于改进空间很大，太大了以至于……抱歉。

O jogo tem uma atmosfera das mais belas que já vi.
A única coisa que me incomoda e que no modo não competitivo precisa coletar células demais, e o que era para ser relaxante se transforma em algo enfadonho.
Acredito que no máximo deveríamos coletar 50 células, mas há níveis que precisa coletar 80, 110 ou 120.
O problema é que você fica muito tempo nadando no nada, pois as células ficam escasssas.
Mas tirando isso vale muito a pena, é um jogo barato e de muita beleza.

Clearly inspired by Flow. Swim around and consume stuff while trying to beat your opponent. For a game like this it's missing some things like predators and objects that should be avoided. Plenty of stages but they all play the same. You can dive dipper or back by scrolling mouse wheel. Creature evolves as you play and food becomes harder to find. Stages are long and boring. Music sounds like a broken record constantly crackling into your ears. Not recommended, play Flow instead.

If you liked the cell stage in Spore you might love this one. Depending on your play style and upgrade path you will change the look of your worm and end up with a different experience. The enemies are varied and the colours are nice. The sense of scale can be overwhelming sometime with gigantic enemies that will make you feel like a little fish in a giant pond. Can be 100% in a few hours and I think is a nice experience that might even help you relax your eyes if you just stare at it on some of the easier levels. Can be challenging at times and you might have to replay a few levels but hey, isn't that what you ought to be looking for a in a videogame anyway?

Игра чем-то напоминает этап клетки из Spore. Вы управляете непонятным существом, походящим то-ли на клетку, то-ли на насекомое, то-ли на морского червя. Конечной целью игры является прохождение всех уровней. Для прохождения каждого из них нужно поглотить определенное количество частичек еды разных цветов, разбросанных по всей карте. Развитие вашего персонажа полностью зависит от цвета поглощаемых частичек. В зависимости от употребляемой пищи, клетка может приобретать три различные формы. У каждой формы есть свой особенный навык. Более того, разная еда развивает разные статы. Помимо подконтрольной игроку клетки, на уровнях водятся и другие существа. Они съедобные, но убиваются по-разному.

Игра весьма расслабляющая, предлагает размеренный казуальный геймплей под расслабляющую музыку и непринуждённый неоновый визуал. Именно чилловость делает эту часть лучшей игрой в серии. Сиквелы далеко не такие расслабляющие и местами вызывают сплошное раздражение. Первая часть (ZERO) тоже расслабляющая, но в ней критически мало контента.

Sparkle 2 Evo соблюдает золотую середину, в ней достаточно уровней и есть система развития, но при этом игра не душная. Однозначно рекомендую!

i cannot recommend the game though as the pc port textures are completely bugged and always in awful resolution
i doubt this will get fixed so do not buy this game on steam
the switch port is perfectly playable though so try it there if you are interested

Fun game about evolving your bacterium as you eat to survive while battling other bacteria.
The views are overly close and large.
You need to dive and rise up to find food to complete each open map.
Very basic game with very interesting graphics.

A fun little game that i had a good time playing. Very cheap, so it is expected for it to be short and sweet. You play as a small bug, that swims around picking up elements to evolve yourself. The more you eat, the bigger and more advanced you become. It is worth the cheap price for a short, but decently entertaining experience.

For the achievment hunters, it took me a total of about 3 hours to gain 100% achievments.

If you were bored senseless with the first Sparkle game, then you can expect more of just the same except the gameplay is even more mindless and undeservedly time-consuming. The gameplay merely has players scavenging for cells until they reach a set threshold and can proceed to the next, indistinguishable level.

Although [i]Sparkle 2 Evo[/i] attempts to market itself as a serene time-killer, there is no challenge whatsoever irrespective of whether players disable the competitive A.I. that serves as a reason to rush players to eat their preferred, color cells before the competition locks onto them and forces players to become a sort chimera instead of committing to an evolution path.

When playing products like this, expect to be stupefied to the point of mental retardation.

A colourful, fun, engaging experience that was short, but sweet. Evolving through various different states and seeing the metamorphosis of the organism was a blast, and while the experience sometimes suffered from "mobile game syndrome" where everything is built around touch controls, for the most part, it wasn't much of a problem. The only bug i ran into was being unable to change elevation after entering and finishing one of the boss battles, but this was fixed with a restart. Overall, I really liked this title!

Als kleine Mikrobe die durch das Meer streift und das in 15 verschiedene Level und versucht groß zu werden, es hört sich einfach an ist es aber nicht wenn die KI schneller ist als man selbst. Klar man kann die KI ausschalten und man könnte so die 15 Level durchqueren aber das ist irgendwie öde fand ich zu mindest!

The Sparkle 2 Evo ist ein netter Zeitvertreib mehr aber auch nicht aber man kann es sich kaufen wenn es im Sale ist oder man sollte es dann kaufen den 4.99€ dafür ist eindeutlich zuteuer.

Изначально, я крайне удивился приятной и яркой картинке, в таком недорогом стареньком проекте. Посмотрев на страницу игры, возникли ассоциации со [b]"Spore"[/b] и прочими и играми, в которых вашей задачей является пожирание подобных себе веществ, для того чтобы становиться более крупным соперником. На деле, геймплей и общий замысел игры оказался немного своеобразным.

Всего в игре [b]15[/b] уровней: [b]12[/b] полноценных, [b]2[/b] босса и [b]1[/b] финальный уровень с титрами.
Проходится всё это дело довольно-таки быстро - [b]2-3[/b] часа

На первом уровне, не сразу понятно, в чем заключается ваша истинная цель и как здесь собственно эволюционировать.
Такой диссонанс возникает из-за того, что уровни можно проходить в двух режимах: с [u]соперником[/u] (компьютером) или [u]без него[/u]. В первом случае, появляется полоска, на которой можно увидеть, сколько вы и соперник поглотили микробов - собственно, кто больше очков заработает, тот и победил. Во втором режиме видно общее количество существ на карте и вашей задачей является поглотить полностью [b]1[/b] из [b]3[/b] "фракций".

Существа и элементы, которые вам здесь придется употреблять делятся на 3 типа (цвета): [b]красный[/b], [b]зеленый[/b] и [b]синий[/b].
Изначально, абсолютно не понятно, в чем между ними разница, поскольку поедать вы можете всё и сразу.
Постепенно, начинаешь замечать, что как только ты делаешь упор на организмы одного цвета, после этого нашего существо меняет форму, каждая из которых имеет свои плюсы и минусы. Лично для себя, я не увидел весомой разницы между ними, поэтому не буду заострять на этом внимания.
Сама по себе эволюция, происходит посредством пожирания общего количества организмов, в теории, если раз за разом проходить только лишь первый уровень, можно также отрастить достойного обитателя глубин океана.
На количество уникальных организмов не скупились, поэтому, большинство уровней, вы будете замечать новых существ, для каждого из которых нужен будет свой уникальный подход, дабы они оказались в вашем желудке.
Каждый из уровней также имеет свои уникальные черты, но скорее, главные особенности заканчиваются на цветовой гамме, а в остальном они все похожи друг с другом.

Всего в игре [b]4[/b] стадии эволюции, с получением каждой из них, ваш персонаж будет становиться крупнее и красивее. Прогресс не сбрасывается, ведь каждый последующий уровень, вы будете начинать в той форме, в которой закончили предыдущий. Бои с боссами оказались по правде уникальными и отличающиеся от основной игры (скорее с одним из них).
Пришлось находить абсолютно новый подход в бою с боссом и потратить на это n-ое количество времени, но, большая доля ресурса была потрачена из-за бага, который вам может встретиться на одном из этих уровней.

Музыка в игре плавная, гармоничная и успокаивающая, как раз таки подходящая под общую стилистику игры.

Единственным, главным минусом игры, является ее [u]монотонность[/u], [u]однообразность[/u] и малое количество геймплейных механик.

Despite it's name "Sparkle 2", this is the first Sparkle game. Wtf?
Once again a game inspired by the cell stage from "Spore",
but unlike the combat-focused "Sipho" or the scientifically-accurate "Thrive", this game is way too casual !

There are no threats or death. No challenge whatsoever.
All you do is collect 70 of this, 100 of that. Boring and tedious.

At least the detailed insect-like design is better than in the sequels..

Gleich vorweg: Das Spiel sieht wirklich großartig aus - aber wenn mich jetzt einer fragen würde, was genau meine Aufgabe bei diesem Spiel ist, würde ich betreten lächeln wie ein Politiker, der in flagranti mit einer Praktikantin erwischt wurde, und erstmal peinlich schweigen, während sich ein Schweißfilm auf meiner Stirn bildet und ich mir über die Lippen lecke, da sich gerade ein Satz in meinem Kopf formt und ich noch etwas Zeit schinden möchte. Dann würde ich sagen: Woher soll ich das wissen? Ich tauche auf, ich tauche ab, dann fress ich Gelumpe, bis eine Zahl 0 erreicht hat und sause ins nächste Level. Warum tu ich das? Keinen Schimmer. Was beeinflusst, wann ich ein Levelup bekomme? Frag mich was Leichteres. Was ist der Sinn des Ganzen? Ja, eine Zahl muss 0 erreichen, oder nicht?

Das Spiel ist leider echt langweilig. Ich schwimme planlos in der Gegend herum und schiebe mir verschiedenfarbige Pillen rein, habe aus unerfindlichen Gründen Levelups und weiß nicht, was die überhaupt bringen sollen. Irgendwann hab ich genug seltsames Viehzeug in seine Einzelteile zerlegt, das Spiel gratuliert mir und ich komme ins nächste Level. Ok.

Für Achievementjäger ist das Spiel hier eine klare Empfehlung, da man die Erfolge recht flink freischaltet, aber sonst ... Nee. Das Spiel bekommt man in etlichen Bundles hinterher geschmissen, also spreche ich hier mal keine Empfehlung aus, da mir Sparkle 2 wie ein kleiner Fiebertraum vorkommt. Hab ich schon gesagt, dass das Spiel gut aussieht? Ich glaube, aber ich hatte Fieber. Schwer zu sagen.

I am 32 years old.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.

Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.

With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.

After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.

Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.

Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.

Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

I've had this game sitting on my wall of shame since 2016. I'd won it in an Indie Gala giveaway.

So, it cost me nothing to acquire. Yet it STILL wasn't worth my time to play through it.

The controls aren't good. The graphics are interesting. But the gameplay sucks.

It's boring. Literally just wandering around looking for the pickups you need to complete the level. There is no chance to die. There is no action. There is no sense of adventure. Just a tedious fetchquest that isn't done very well. Often, I had issues where the creature I needed to "eat" to get the colored orbs I needed...were lodged against the environment in a way I couldn't get to them. Once it took a full 15 minutes for one to dislodge itself enough where i could complete the level. In that time LITERALLY the only thing for me to do was either restart the level (and given how boring it was, I didn't want to do that) OR sit there, staring at the screen for 15 minutes hoping that it successfully freed itself (which it did FINALLY do).

You have a finite amount of time on this planet. If you're going to spend some of it gaming, at least spend it on good games. Avoid low quality efforts like this. Though...I will say...this is a thousand times better than Sparkle Zero. That was a steaming pile of crap. This, is more a polished turd comparatively.

Short review, it's just not my thing. It's well-made but its painfully boring for wrong playerbase.

Long Review, Sparkle 2 Evo is one of those "Drive around a pretty space and collect things in a peaceful world" games. Think, "Flow" or "Flower". It's a chill chance to float around and explore... but with a few added game mechanics in the form of "Evolution".

The basic idea is that there is two game modes: Competitive and Relaxing. In both modes you are supposed to explore the level eating the 3 colors of food until one of the colors has been wiped out. In competitive you want to eat more than an AI rival that likes to relax and be chill too... so... it's still not much of a competition.

The colors you eat determine the long term evolution of your sparkle. Red improves your speed and turning, Green increases your eating speed, and green is some sort of a balance? I don't really know. While you absolutely notice a difference... all evolution play the same game and it doesn't feel meaningful.

It's a pretty game and most of the music is relaxing enough... its like an interactive screensaver. If that's what you're after then you'll enjoy this. But it just doesn't satisfy my own gaming desires.

Imagine the Spore Cell stage, where you swim around in the water eating red, blue, or green dots; be they things like plankton, or other living things. Now imagine that goes on for about 2-3 hours. That is this game. There are times where you feed on things, and hunt things, and then are hunted yourself, but you cannot really die, you just get sent back up one "floor" higher. Then you do this over and over again. You can focus on one specific colour if you like, to evolve and get some stats that don't really change much. But yeah, that is this game. Only reason I have more than two and a half hours is because I left the game running a bunch of times while doing errands about the house, and tried to get the 'fully evolved' achievement. I got my 100% achievements with this game. So I guess I am happy?

I do recommend this game, but only just barely. It isn't bad, it looks nice, and it can even be somewhat relaxing, or thrilling, at times. But don't buy this game for more than about $0.50 cents on sale for 90% off; which happens frequently. It isn't worth much more money than that to be brutally honest.

Sparkle 2 is basically Spore's first stage of evolution with even less complexity. It's alright, i guess.

You are offered to choose what kind of species you are, red carnivore, blue omnivore or green herbivore, which has negligible effect besides your active ability. You are still eating other cells, just a different color.
Eating gives you evolution XP, and you evolve upon leveling up. Evolving also changes your species based on what kind of food you were eating more (presumably, i'm not sure), which makes initial choice redundant. Eating also changes your stats, so you can eat red to GO FASTA, and still be a herbivore.
Red ability allows you to charge to run out of sticky goo or chase down your prey. Green lets you eat everything in front of you, so you can eat clusters of cells quicker. And blue just spooks everything around for a few seconds for no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason.

You can play the game in one of 2 modes, regular and competitive. In regular mode you need to scour the level and eat all balls of a certain color. Upon doing so, you can leave or stay to eat some more.
Levels themselves are separated into layers. It can be kinda boring when you need to practically pixel-hunt every ball on the level across multiple layers, especially considering that some of them are straight up empty. On the other hand, such empty layers can evoke a sense of unease as you keep descending further and further into depths, not knowing what awaits you below. Such worry is totally unwarranted though, as absolutely nothing can kill you. Whenever you take damage you simply escape to the layer above, from which you can instantly go back down again.
In competitive mode you do just the same, but there is now a second cell that steals your food. You win when there's not enough food on the level for the other cell to out-eat you. It is a faster way to end the game and provides some incentive to act, but this other cell is no match for you as it is pretty dumb.

Other in-game creatures are not particularly smart either and exist only to be eaten. Most are comprised of the head that "damages" you and a bunch of morsels scattered across the body that you need to eat first, before going for the head.
There are a few hostile cells, but, as mentioned before, they can't actually harm you in any meaningful way. The only challenge they provide is when they start folding on themselves, preventing you from eating dried poop on their sides, or when they start endlessly jumping between layers to run away. Even the only boss in the game is just a waiting game, as you slowly eat him piece by piece with no retaliation.

Visually the game looks pretty good for its age. The biomes on different levels are varied and look nice; cells themselves are also colorful and interesting. Different stages of evolution for your cell can at times feel overdesigned, but still look great. Descending into the depths can make you unease for a moment, and moving around on the Octopus level gives genuine anxiety if you are afraid of what lives in the sea.

Unfortunately, the game is a bit buggy and somewhat unpolished. Sometimes you can go through walls, and sometimes you cannot. There's a level which you can only beat in comp mode, as few creatures are stuck out of boundaries. It seems that you can only beat Octopus level with omnivore, if you even figure out how to do it. AI is dumb, and hostile cells warp inside out in their attempt to bite you.

All in all, it is a "meh" game. I didn't feel strongly negative about it, but there really isn't anything here.

Вот я тоже имел неосторожность так решить. Это в тысячу раз хуже. Зачем я вообще на это пишу обзор? Keine Ahnung. Ненапряжная, красочная, короткая, казуальная хрень. Да, за основу взят первый уровень из Спора, где нужно плавать клеткой, хавать другие клетки или разнообразные живые организмы и становиться самым продвинутым микробом на дне морском (или где они там тусуются?). Такой себе симулятор [strike]офисного[/strike] планктона. К сожалению, но в Спор этот геймплей реализован в сто раз бодрее. Спаркл Ево 2 пишет тебе, что тут происходит какая-то невероятная эволюция твоего существа. Но на самом деле нет никакой кастомизации, нельзя добавить себе мощные плавники или там двадцать щупалец. Просто поедаешь клетки трех разных цветов, обещающие необыкновенную эволюцию, а по сути меняется внешний вид да немного характеристики. Врагов нет, ИИ сделан больше для галочки, короче, я пребываю в расстроенных чувствах. Больше всего доставило, что к каждому организму нужно найти подход, с какой стороны его можно скушац. Пожалуй, это единственный достойный элемент геймплея. Левел-дизайн получился действительно классный, интересный, яркий, насыщенный. То какая-то воронка тебя затягивает, то встречаются причудливые преграды, под которые можно нырнуть и выплыть с другой стороны. Звуковое сопровождение тоже удалось, релаксируешь и неспешно плаваешь в темных глубинах. Есть два наркоманских типо «босса». Что там еще, пачка багов, игра работает как-то поскрипывая, местами дико тупит, местами отваливается управление. Не понимаю, сложно было такую коротенькую игрульку нормально отладить? Общая длительность контента это два-три часа, зато можно налутать себе платину. Имеем в сухом остатке хорошую идею и крайне херовую реализацию и оптимизацию этого добра. Стоит ли поиграть? За 9 гривен может и стоит, но не за фуллпрайс. Я вообще в полном недоумении, почему так много положительных отзывов. Ну, можно получить удовольствие от визуала и саундтрека. Но зачем?... Прошёл (в 2014-ом) [b]Sparkle 2 Evo[/b]. Со времён [b]Flow[/b] вышло много клонов (и лучшим из них был первый этап в игре [b]Spore[/b]), но мало что изменилось. По большему счёту - это всё ещё прототип. С ещё большим визуальным фетишизмом, с ещё меньшим штрафом за смерть (вообще без него). В нём есть несколько наглядных ошибок про не-Self explaining-овый дизайн, про лишние элементы чарбилдинга и дыры в юзабилити. Но в нём есть и позитивные примеры. Например, игра - это не обязательно challenge, процесс важнее мотива, цель важнее процесса, консистентность решает проблемы и т.д.Итого: медитативный псилоцибиновый трип за "червя" на один присест очищающий мозг от забот обычного человека и заполняющий голову мыслями гейм-дизайнеру.

Fun and relaxing little game.

Sparkle 2 Evo is a nice, relaxing little game with a calm and charming atmosphere.
You play as a micro-organism underwater, who needs to eat enough bacteria and other indescribable food sources in order to grow. You need to compete against another, AI controlled organism and the goal is to grow the largest, the fastest. It is a really simple game but a beautiful looking and calming one.

There is also another mode available in which you do the same thing, eat food and grow, but this time without the need to compete to a AI organism.

On your search for food, you come across larger organisms that you must avoid, because you are vulnerable. This mechanic keeps the balance between an arcade puzzle style game and a exploration game and I liked it.

The graphics in Sparkle 2 Evo are amazing for such a simple game. They are colorful and the details and effects are beautifully done. The backgrounds are layered and a million different things and moving scenery can be seen. It really enhances the unique atmosphere that this game has.

The soft ambient music is gorgeous and adds to the experience that you are playing in a underwater environment.

The game is very short and can be achieved in about an hour or two. Nevertheless, for its low price, it is worth it.

For me, it was the setting in which this game plays that made me have fun with it. It was so satisfying and relaxing and one of the many times that I needed a break from all that killing in other videogames. I got the same feeling when playing Nihilumbra for example.

In a way, this game helped me trough of my anger issues that I have when playing games like Spyro Reignited Trilogy (specifically the second game of that trilogy) or Dark Souls. It showed me that there are games out there without impossible time limits or one hit deaths, and that games do not always need to be a violent or stressful messes.

Although Sparkle 2 Evo does not have much else to offer than a nice relaxing ride underwater and some free therapy, I would still recommend it for the low price.

Первая часть серии - понравилась. У Sparkle 2 Evo отличная задумка знакомая всем игрокам в Spore. Приятная графика. Разнообразные уровни и обитатели, парочка крупных боссов. В игре можно влиять на поведение зверёныша питаясь определёнными элементами, которые отвечают за развитие разных способностей. Интересно самому без подсказок находить способы потребления живых организмов. Путешествовать по слоям воды можно в любом месте; - это хорошая механика от которой зачем-то отказались в следующих частях, ограничив всплытие/погружение вашего питомца в определённых местах. Есть два режима игры: в одном развиваемся никуда не торопясь, в другом - соревнуемся с другим пожирателем глубин. Подходящий саундтрек. Продолжительность игры примерно 3-4 часа, простые достижения.

Adult Spore. Very chill, effectively a puzzler lite. One level in particular required me to Google the solution and it turned out to be odd controls, which is a shame, but all in all, I like this game a lot.
