TL:DR: Good vibes, Atmosphere, Gameplay Gimmick, Characters, Themes, Dungeons, and more. It all comes together to create a very cohesive experience. I'm giving it a B+

I'm not the best at writing reviews so forgive me if this is all over the place. But I felt i had to give my 2 cents on this game.

Sincerely a really well made game, when I first saw it floating around Steam I thought it looked decent but didn't think much of it, ended up getting it in a bundle and I can say it's arguably one of my favorite games of the year so far.

While it's listed as "Survival Horror" the game isn't very scary, it's clearly inspired by Resident Evil of old, but with modern controls and first person perspective. But what really sells it for me is the characters, themes, settings, and vibes.

Each of the main characters you come across have their own personal conflicts that occurs over the days in the game, which ultimately shapes how the story turns and the fate of these characters, as you can play a part of their lives which leads to different conclusions.

For example, i found myself rooting for one character's relationship for a while up until a specific bit of information swayed me completely, while this isn't anything earth shattering it adds a nice little extra layer to the game as you decide their fates.

As far as gameplay goes, it's largely scavenge hunting though linear differently themed but unique areas, standing off against different creatures, and unfolding the story, the main gimmick is how you dispatch enemies, you can either shoot with minimum effect, or open your third eye which shows their heart, attacking that directly does more damage, and doing so in quick succession with the gaming have you go in first person to do so.

While the game doesn't break the mold, the vibes, style, writing, themes, characters, and more mix to make an excellent and satisfying experience that i'm already eager to start new game + in to make other choices to unlock other endings.

If I had to give this game a grade i'd give it an B+ i'd love to see more from this developer even this universe.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GAME!!! My favorite game hands down. It is so easy to understand the mechanics, the story is interesting, and the characters are lovable. But most of all, the art style is scrumptious! It is pretty casual which is nice for scaredy cats like me. There are plenty of things to explore outside of the main story line, and multiple different endings to discover. 100% recommend to all game lovers!

Je m’attendais à quelque chose de convenu. J’ai découvert une œuvre sincère, maîtrisée, respectueuse, portée par une compréhension fine de l’horreur. Une petite équipe qui réussit à créer une expérience marquante, autant sur le plan du gameplay que de la narration.

Je ne l’ai pas relancé immédiatement. Mais je sais que j’y reviendrai, une fois certains souvenirs estompés, pour en voir une autre facette.

En somme, une oeuvre finement référencé, respectueuse et très soigné! Ce serait dommage de passer à côté et je suis tellement content d'être passer au dessus des clichés, il m'a fait ravaler mes préjugés!

i love the style of this game. It has so much character and charm in its design, especially with the characters. One of the levels honestly had me pulling my hair out because I ran out of ammo and had to use melee, but overall I had a really great time with this one. An underrated gem. Would love to revisit again to find the other endings.

标题抽象了一下。一周目走的是夏弥尔线，没答应总机的二选一是因为ta说话不好听，而且逼太紧让我感觉不像好人！[spoiler]最后公爵夫人以人类之身与米雪儿重逢了 [/spoiler]，真是可喜可贺，眼睛尿尿了！
在本游戏里，“选择新欢还是旧爱”、“选择化身为人还是保持神性”没有对错之分，没有对玩家的选择进行说教；文本诙谐幽默，虽然简中还有不少一眼机翻的错误，但不影响游玩；成就达成也没有很苛刻的条件，顺着玩一周目就可以解锁60%的成就，不过想要全成就的话那得二周目了。
轻松、怪诞、复古的游戏场景设计——低质建模、粉色的夜空，色气厚涂的人物立绘，打响指切换表里世界等脑洞大开设定让我在玩游戏的时候非常放松享受；人设也很讨喜，米雪儿、罗宾、公爵夫人......都很有人格魅力，包括路人配角的塑造也很用心，感觉最不起眼的人也有值得深挖的故事。
值得夸一夸的是，性别友好含量过高，lgbtq+要素很多，请放心食用。本游戏包含1对女同情侣，2对男同情侣。另外，在设定集里，[spoiler] 公爵夫人和Violet的性别认同都是they；揭开了Lucy不说话的谜底——身体被总机附身，所以没办法对别人讲话；米雪儿的前女友为了逐梦演艺圈果断地甩了米雪儿导致她走不出前任情伤长达3年。 [/spoiler]这就是为什么我很坚定地走公爵夫人线，前任之所以是前任，那都是因为前任都是屑啦！
不过游玩过程中，大概超过一半的时间都在跑图、解谜和打架，终章还莫名其妙塞了个影分身解谜，让人头大，如果把这游戏当avg玩的人要失望了。[b] 但如果你对我写的任何一点产生了好奇的想法，一定要尝试玩一下！ [/b]
另外非常推荐喜欢这个游戏的人支持art book，内容包含游戏里所有的立绘和手稿（有很多人物小表情手稿，已萌晕），还补足了人物设定，画风非常扎实，上色也很瑰丽浪漫，真的很用心。

Игра очень понравилась, буквально очень давно не получала столько эмоций от игры, при этом действительно понравилось всё: от персонажей, их дизайна, стилистически подогнанной под старые игры графики (вероятно, сделано из-за малого бюджета, но это буквально идеальное решение в подобных ситуациях, потому что выглядит отлично - смешняво, но стильно), до сюжета, геймплея и вариативности, которой тут, казалось бы, быть не может.
Удивительно то, насколько мне запомнилась игра, которая меня изначально привлекла музыкой из трейлера - именно поэтому особое внимание я хочу уделить музыкальной составляющей - ♥♥♥♥♥, как же они угадали с музыкой!!!
Эмбиент - шикарный, очень подходит, создает нужную атмосферу на протяжении всей игры; очень понравилась песня, которая играет во время разговоров в поездках на машине с Робин; ну и отдельная тема - очень сочные песни okumura на босс-файтах. Я такое удовольствие испытала во время первого босс-файта, потому что банально не ожидала, что они вставят ТАКОЕ на битве с боссом.
Единственное, что немного разочаровало - файт с Dream Eater'ом, я очень его ждала тупо из-за песни (которая как раз в целом и привлекла мое внимание к игре, ведь именно okumura - "Dream Eater" играет в трейлере), ожидала дикого мяса, на деле же файт оказался очень простенький, но его спасла музыка, так что я все равно сидела и кайфовала, пусть и с налетом разочарования от геймплейной составляющей файта.
Ах, да, еще хотела отметить дизайн герцогини - очень понравились изменения ближе к окончанию игры. Ну и арты - наравне с музыкой в трейлере, это именно то, что изначально привлекло внимание к игре, обожаю подобный стиль.

Много-много бесполезных и лишних слов написала, но игра действительно запала мне в душу.

Пи.Си. Я думала, в отзывах преувеличивают о кол-ве лгбтк+ персон в игре - НЕТ, совсем нет. Буквально каждый персонаж - представитель этого сообщества, что лично для меня не является проблемой или какой-то трудностью, просто пишу это для тех, кто раздумывает о покупке игры, и для них это является одним из ключевых факторов к НЕприобретению.

One of the most sublimely designed visual experiences I've ever had. Every little thing has me chuckling or wide-eyed in awe. I'm annoyed I didn't play it sooner! There's this quote "Better to make something a few people love than lots of people think is just alright" and that is the beauty of indie games. love c. bedford's art, they have a really evocative, rotten eye that very lovingly renders specific kinds of masculine and androgyne bodies, and love the fact that the combat is pretty explicitly reminiscent of warp/kenji eno's D2. we don't have nearly enough D2 clones in the world. a lot of people will make the resi connection and the way this plays outside of shooting is more akin to that, but the move from the isometric third person to first person shooting gallery light gunning is so dreamcast to me. i think this also makes group encounters uh... terrible! lol. this is lacking in the combat design department IMHO because difficulty modulation is tied much more to expanding the size of encounters rather than the types and arrangements of encounters, so the late game is only "difficult" because the mechanics really only sing in single combat. the bones are good but it didnt take care of itself lol. i had no desire to do score attack stuff w this, which is fine, bc look at it! the graphics suitably have a dramatic and dynamic pop art edge, the scale of the game is both intimate and cosmological in a way i like a lot more than If Found... or Bad End Theater or such. i like the gayborhood this is set in, i think it grounds the tone and relationship dynamics of the game in a real way, it explains the kind of characters you run into and the way they relate to one another, and mechanically it's a really solid hub, providing all the context for subplots and branches to the narrative you could hope for. allowing michelle to ingratiate herself within diff relationships is a cool way to keep her romantic arc more contained while allowing you to branch the story in diff ways. doesn't dilute the themes through choice. chamuel's story was the one that stuck w me the most, but i think duchess is a great character, really encapsulates the tensions between desire, intimacy, vulnerability, roleplay, love. feels more mature and confident and less quotidian than a lot of games it could be compared to. third eye mechanic is rly good too, the on the fly silent hill zones is probably my fav mechanical touch here. kind of not into the sound design, the rap tracks felt only a step or two away from IM IN THE HOUSE LIKE CARPET but overall, very confident commercial debut for the duo, one of the best things to come from the retro-flavored survival horror indie revival so far.

Wow, this game was beautiful! I cannot believe how critically underrated it is. I just finished it, so I'm still reeling from the loss of that world, but I guess that's part of what the whole game is about. I don't want to spoil too much, but it hooks you in with it's cute, quirky charm and pulls you into something deeper, your own feelings of love, how much we should give up for it, whether its worth being changed. The artwork and music initially drew me in, and how hot the Duchess is, but the characters, story, lore, and Michelle's painfully relatable loneliness reeled me in for sure after the demo. So beautiful! I hope I can get to help create a piece of art like this someday too. If you're a gay Disco Elysium enjoyer who likes horror and pink, this will be perfect for you. And if you're a human who's ever fretted about finding love, I think you'll quite like it too.

Sorry We’re Closed is a very queer, survival horror game about the nature of relationships. The game uses survival horror less as a tone and more as an aesthetic in the same way a haunted house does. This may sound like a critique, but it most assuredly is not. While the game is not scary in the least, it isn’t trying to make you frightened. It instead uses the language of horror to frame discussions around unhealthy and toxic relationships, and love more broadly.

Central to the game’s plot is how authentic love necessarily changes everyone involved—for better or worse. We meet the game’s protagonist, Michelle, some time after being dumped by her ex-girlfriend, Leslie. Not only is Michelle stuck in place because of a refusal to move on, but that stagnation is also the very reason Leslie broke up with her. Throughout the game, various characters talk about and demonstrate how love changes you and how they embrace or attempt to reject that premise.

The plot really jumps off when Michelle is visited by a powerful demon known as the Duchess. They take an interest in Michelle and grant her a magic third eye which allows her to peer into the world of angels and demons all around her. This power also curses Michelle; either she will learn to love with the Duchess, or she will die in three days. The bulk of the gameplay centers around attempting to break the curse by venturing into demonic hot spots and acquiring new powers to confront the Duchess.

These sections are what you would expect from a survival horror: clunky combat, exploration, key items, and some light puzzle solving. The different dungeons are interesting enough. They each have their own gimmicks to keep things feeling fresh with a decent ramp up in difficulty. This is not a terribly challenging game but having some bits of challenge keeps it fresh. As stated, the combat is very clunky. While the game is usually in third-person, shifts to first person. This shift can be jarring as the starting position for the aiming is based on where Michelle was facing, not where the camera is pointed. If this were anything other than a survival horror, this would be a fairly decent knock against the game. As is, however, it works well enough. By the end, the quirks will hardly matter as you get used to it. If you want to give the game credit, it mirrors how Michelle is neither a fighter nor very confident at the beginning but as the story progresses, her confidence and yours, as the player, grow in tandem. You both become more capable of dealing with larger challenges. Was this intentional? No idea, but it is a nice parallel if nothing else.

The end of the dungeon is always capped off with a boss fight. The fights themselves don’t shake up the formula too much except in the music department. Atmospheric, creepy music of the dungeons gets replaced with legitimately great trap songs with the verses giving insight into the boss’s feelings and motivations. It reminds me of how the boss songs in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance flesh out their bosses using their boss themes. If you have ever played Revengeance, you will understand just how high praise the comparison between their OSTs is. I honestly just wish there was more of it to enjoy. If you take nothing else from this review: listen to those damn songs. ♥♥♥♥. They’re so good.

Let’s bring it back down a bit. Once you’ve had your fill, the dungeon sections are broken up with sections talking with the people in the town. These quieter sections not only help flesh out the various characters and the world but also to see how various side-quests are going along. They’re nothing major but they help to circle back to the themes of love being a force of change and getting an outside perspective on it. While the narrative isn’t the best in the world, it does effectively make that core idea support almost every interaction. It’s tightly written. It may lack a bit in the subtlety department but it isn’t poorly written.

And it is worth playing. If you can look past clunky controls and enjoy survival horror as a genre, you’ll like Sorry We’re Closed. Personally, it is nice to see more overtly queer games in a wider variety of genres. Furthermore, the game’s overt queerness (and general representation) isn’t the focus of basically anything. People in this world, like our own, are just queer. The game understands that this is often one of the least interesting facts about someone. And it feels refreshing to have a game like this. A solid package through and through. I hope they make more games (or at least more soundtracks).

This was a pretty interesting game. People classify it was somewhat of a horror game; however, it is not really scary. I love the mechanics of stunning with the third eye to take advantage of weak points. The story was A LOT more intuitive than I had thought it would be and the soundtrack is full of bangers! I also love the third person to first person aiming mechanic. Resident Evil was already a masterpiece, but if they had that same aim mechanic turning third person to first person, it would have made it 100x better. Def recommend!

Super interesting gameplay wise since this is a mix of both Killer 7 and Resident Evil Dead Aim for the combat and exploration. Visuals look dynamite. Biggest gripe is that the intro to this is agonizingly slow which almost deterred me from continuing which is a shame since the actual horror exploration segments are some of the most fun I've had in this genre for awhile. Worth trying out due to its uniqueness. Bonus points for the lgbt+ themes since its handled well and refreshing to have represented in the gaming space.

A strange and unique game. I found it decently engrossing concept and art wise.

Gameplay is varied and a bit iffy at times to be honest, but it holds up overall and stays engaging, but the story and art is the standout.

I just wish there was a bit more outlets of detail for the world that was brought forward as the game progressed; it was actually interesting and had nice details.

Solid game that stands out! Games that try new stuff and go wonky weird, crossing nostalgia and modern flair, its great!

I've never written a review before but this game blew me away to the point I felt that I HAD to sing its praises. I bought it completely on a whim and I enjoyed it so much. I've only played it all the way through once, but I fully intend to do that again and again. Everything from the visuals to the soundtrack to the writing had a grip on me... and these CHARACTERS! Not only do the portraits look amazing but I found myself thinking about them while I wasn't playing and invested in what would become of everybody.
This story gives you a lot to think about. I love the themes surrounding "love". Love prevails!

My friend recently recommended this game to me just over a week ago because it came up on his steam recs n' he was like "I think you'd like this its got lesbians in it". That's all I knew before buying it and playing, had no idea this game would become one of my favorite games ever. I LOVEDDD THIS SO MUCH.

This game felt like a love child between games like Parasite Eve, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Jet Set Radio, and even tho I haven't played a ton of it yet, Silent Hill. HUGE on Parasite Eve vibes from some songs having similar vibes, playing as a fem protag who wields multiple weapons + a special power, the car ride segments, and both taking place in a real life location.
The music was AMAZING, my favorite song being Jenny (the train boss theme). The usage of the train and track noises on the beat was BEYOND genius. I popped off LOL.
The gameplay is super fun and the game does such a good job at teaching you upcoming gimmicks so well.
I 100%'d this game really quick cuz I loved it that much but now I'm sad since I have nothing else </3

Aside from all that, this game really came into my life at such a perfect time as I'm a lesbian who's been dealing with healing from a life changing break up for about a year now (those wlw relationships really are life altering I feel you Michelle). I was able to identify heavily with Michelle due to this, her pain was felt ten fold as if it were my own. This game has amazing writing and handles the themes of all kinds of love amazingly. Each ending was wonderfully done and satisfying in their own ways. I eventually got them all but on my first playthrough I was constantly changing my mind as I did end up becoming fond of The Duchess slowly. So many quotes about love in this game were so touching. The one Chamuel said about how your love isn't meant to FIX someone but to HEAL them really stood out to me, just really good stuff.
I felt seen and heard in my sorrow, but also gained a new outlook on things I began to look on pretty negatively. I think this game will totally stick with me for a long while, will be a game I speak fondly of, and a game I try to get others to play.
The representation of queer relationships of all kinds and a handful of nonbinary and/or gender nonconforming characters was awesome.
If these devs ever release another game be it in the same universe as SWC/a sequel/etc. ANYTHING?? I AM THERE DAY 1!!

This game is awesome! It feels like if the original Resident Evil and Catherine had a camp, gay baby. The whole art style is awesome and the combat is fun despite being simple. Also, I can recommend this to fellow disabled gamers: the accessibility settings allowed me to play with appropriate challenge when I otherwise may not have been able to complete the shooter sections because of my dyspraxia. Overall a fun adventure that I will be playing through again to get the other endings!

The game is absolutely wonderful, I recommend everyone to play through it.
But there are a couple of downsides I'd like to point out.
Not enough save slots.
To see all the endings, I had to replay the game three times, and even with dialogue skipping, each playthrough took over 5 hours.
I also really tried to get all the achievements, but unfortunately, maybe it wasn't just me who had this bug, I couldn't find an artifact in the Dream Eater's Palace (Day 3), so getting 6 stars for that level didn't count (I'd be happy if someone could explain in the comments how to get it).

Sorry, We’re Closed is one of the most interesting genre fusions I’ve played, and a game I think I’m still trying to fully understand. It is about love, it is about loneliness, it is about allowing one’s self to heal - or not.

The premise is as follows: you play as Michelle. Years ago, Michelle was dumped by a girl she was terribly smitten with, and now she watches episodes of the daytime soap opera her ex stars in while ringing up customers at the corner store where she works. She is well and truly stuck, in love with a woman who has already forgotten her.

Michelle is pulled out of her comfortable misery by an evening visit from The Dutchess - a terrifying, gender ambiguous, hypersexualized demon. Michelle is The Duchess’s newest object of desire, a guest of honor in the Dutchess’s demonic domain. Michelle’s first escape leaves her with an opened Third Eye - a way to see into the world of angels and demons that surround her. Michelle has four days to find a way to break her curse - or perhaps, to fall in love with her demonic admirer.

That on its own is an intriguing hook for me, I find interpretations of Christian mythology to be fun, and I have certainly spent some of my days as a depressed sapphic, wondering what I did to drive her away, what I was supposed to have done better.
Sorry We’re Closed plays like a mixture of Catherine, the bizarre and very unique Atlus dating sim/puzzle-platformer from the seventh generation of consoles. There have been a variety of quirky and strange dating sims since then, most of which with a comedic tone. Sorry We’re Closed makes two important changes that allow it to stand head and shoulders above its most direct reference point - tone, and gameplay loop.

Atlus has often incorporated these dating simulation elements in its Persona series, and while Catherine solved the main issue with these elements in Persona (the characters in Catherine are, ostensibly, of legal age by North American standards) Atlus has thus far always presented a very heteronormative, simplistic look at love - you play as a man, you pursue (or are pursued by) women. Sometimes she’s a demon, sometimes she’s your homeroom teacher, but the pairing is always the male player character and his digital honeypot. Sorry We’re Closed is not a power fantasy, at least, not inherently. The game asks more about the nature of love, and its worth, than what the player will get when they acquire it.

Should Michelle encourage a nearly-fallen angel to keep going after love, and accept being cast out of heaven so that he can be with his demonic lover? Is Michelle willing to meet The Dutchess on their terms, and understand why this person is so sure love will fix the hole in their heart? Can anyone truly experience love if they are not willing to be changed by it? For me, these are more interesting ideas to ruminate on than “hmm, should I go for the blonde or the redhead?”

Sorry We’re Closed looks and handles a lot like Resident Evil 2, with its Playstation esque graphics and blocky polygonal models for characters. They’re presented with much more fidelity than was possible on that old console, and the gameplay is both tense and enjoyable. Each night you’ll explore a new dungeon, using your Third Eye to navigate the underworld and battle lesser demons. Michelle is equipped with an axe, and later two firearms, and when aiming them you’ll switch from isometric to first-person view. Switching to first-person is also useful for solving puzzles and taking in more of the surprisingly tense environmental detail of these surreal spaces, often blending urban decay with heavenly splendor.

The art absolutely steals the show, as well. While the character models are nice, and detailed, the character portraits are nothing short of marvelous. At times beautiful, at times horrifying, at times both (but that might say more about me than about the art), the game feels distinct and original in the way it presents itself. The sountrack blends atmospheric horror tracks with hip-hop, which is probably the best relationship in the whole game.

Sorry We’re Closed takes about five hours to complete, but includes a new game plus mode to explore other endings, of which there are three - not counting different ways side stories can be resolved. None of the endings felt objectively good or objectively bad, they all felt like choices a player character could reasonably make, being in Michelle’s shoes. You can choose to be selfish, to be altruistic, to be self-destructive. That’s something I appreciate in games that offer these kinds of branching endings. There needs to be a reason why I might choose to do it, beyond “hey, I wonder what was behind door number 3?”

I played Sorry We’re Closed while working through my feelings about a difficult, up-and-down relationship. I saw my own equivocations about that relationship reflected back at me through Michelle’s journey. Was I chasing a real person, or a fictional ideal of what the relationship could be? If love can make an individual more whole, then what is the cost of packing yourself into the cracks of another person’s heart? In allowing yourself to change for someone else, how do you feel if you come out the other side worse for it? To me, it takes a fine piece of art to stir up those introspective, difficult questions, and Sorry We’re Closed is a very fine piece of art in my estimation.

El español ya es inclusivo. No hay necesidad de añadir palabras sin sentido como "elle" o terminadas en "E" o "ES", porque la forma neutra de "hombros" es "hombres". Que el inglés tenga problemas de género no es un problema para los hispanohablantes. No se puede lanzar un juego con un uso del lenguaje tan deplorable que ni siquiera la gente lo apruebe, ni siquiera instituciones como la Real Academia Española. Entiendo que la gente quiera añadir lenguaje neutro para conseguir sus insignias de "progresista" y ser los más "in" del momento. Pero seamos realistas. ¿Te imaginas un God of War con lenguaje inclusivo? Ya tenemos suficiente con Marvel's Spider-Man 2, sin que más gente use este dialecto inventado por cuatro sensibles y resentidos perdedores. Si quieres incluir lenguaje inclusivo, bien, pero que sea opcional. No debería tener que leer errores gramaticales e inconsistencias solo para apaciguar a quienes se ofenden fácilmente. El lenguaje debe respetarse, aunque esté en constante evolución. Está claro que este tipo de inclusividad verbal no tiene futuro. Me gusta el juego y no me importa el contenido LGBT siempre que no sea intrusivo ni se use para adoctrinar. Lo que no tolero son las jergas de los dialectos neutrales. Esta jerga lingüistica ya pasó de moda alla por el 2018. ahora es un chiste de mal gusto que le da patadas al diccionario de la real academia española. si quieres jugar al juego dale porque esta guapo, pero los textos "inclusives" te van a sacar de onda, y todo porque unos orgullosos se niegan a parchear el juego para hacer de este dialecto opcional, no se dignan a respetar la lengua. por defender mi idioma, el traductor del juego "que encima es de valladolid, tocate los huevos" me llamó transfobo. Played the demo when it was out during nextfest, have been looking forward to the full game and recently bought it on sale. It has a gorgeous artstyle (obviously) and a decent story/overall writing. It's a good length which means the pacing doesn't drag and the mechanics don't have time to grow stale. Gameplay consists of Resident Evil-esque level exploration interspersed with chatting to a slightly oddball cast of humans/demons/angels. I liked it a lot, easy recommend.

I love this games' style and story. The have a new twist on how combat works. You run around in 3rd person, set camera angles and switch to stationary FPS, it really is wild and creative. Better experienced than explained.

I really appreciate how they depict characters in this game, it is refreshing change. Also again the art style and music are amazing!

I've never played a Silent Hill or Resident Evil, which I think this a throwback to. However, I think this game is incredible.

Everything makes this game work well. There's a rustic, gnarly sound and visual to everything, but also beautiful scenes, imagery and music. The controls are frustrating, but pushing up against the tense feeling of charged upon by a demon in a tight, dirty corridor. Characters are written so well I really appreciate and care for some of them, but am also disgusted and hateful towards others. I feel smart for solving the puzzles, despite there essentially being one mechanic outside of walk, use, and shoot.

This game does a lot with what little it presents, which really speaks to the amazing work they put into it.

This is maybe the most beautiful game I've ever played in my life. The character designs are so brilliant I won't shut up about them to my friends, the story is unique and interesting, and the music is awesome. I'd typically consider myself a mega-hater of fixed camera (looking at you og DMC) but these are well set in places that both make sense and are navigable even in combat. My one real gripe is just not being able to change aiming sensitivity, since it makes it somewhat difficult to get turned the right way around if I'm facing slightly off when aiming.

I found this game on Steam while browsing the current sales. The gorgeous art immediately caught my eye, and after quickly checking what type of game it was, I decided to give it a try.

Now, after 15 hours of playtime, earning the 100% achievement, and obsessing over it for the past few days, I truly recommend it. I wasn’t a big fan of retro-looking games before, but after trying the Demo of “Sorry We’re Closed,” I’ve quickly bought the game and artbook.

The art, the gameplay, the interesting story and choices...but most of all, the characters completely charmed me. I couldn’t stop looking around the game and admiring its design! And the artbook is simply chef’s kiss!! The charachter design are really my favourite, gosh Duchess

Honestly, I’m impatiently waiting for more content from the creators, and I’d also love to learn more about what went on behind the scenes.

Probably one of the best games I played in recent memory. It's genuinely a hidden gem.

It does the survival horror part really well while also adding a few unique twists to it, especially how it switches to first person whenever you aim. The characters are super fun, the atmosphere is great, the plot is interesting... it's overall just a REALLY good experience.

I'm pretty sure some people will be put off by their first impression of the game on the store page but trust me, it's AMAZING. I really hope for more like this.

Im not even finished with the game but I had to write this review to praise how great this is. The art style, the story, and the combat is all phenomenal, and I wish this game was more well known.

Resident evil style camera mixed with a killer7 style arcade shooter combat is not something I knew I needed in my life. Definitely gonna try to get all the achievements and endings, and maybe try new game+

This helped fill the hole in my heart for stylish and vicious games that Devil May Cry carved out. This game is like if you crossbred the DmC Reboot with Silent Hill and it's gonna be on my reccomend for all my dmc and sh friends. Despite being short, this game is still super detail orientated in ways that even AAA games will overlook, like all the different permutations in dialogue depending on who you've talked to already and your ending-lean. Snared all the trophies but I'm still not burnt out and wouldn't mind doing more playthroughs just to see all the ways the dialogue can change. My only complaint is that this could've been maybe another 2 chapters longer, not due to feeling rushed, but simply because I just love the combat, aesthetics and characters and yearn for more.
Also can Benedict fight because I'm about to challenge him for Robyn

I totally recommend this game. It's not too hardcore so it's a fit for casuals (like me haha). It has a great character design and the overall atmosphere. There were no places where i stood and thought ''okay what the hell do i do next'', the dame is DYNAMIC and makes you want to complete it in one go. The weak point mechanic is a great addition too, makes battles feel more interesting and exciting than basic shooting.

A quite bizarre but surprisingly enjoyable mixture of narrative, soft romance and horror thaat makes this game a very peculiar experience to play. The story is a melanchonic and surprisingly rich tale about love and breakup between everyday people, angels and all sort of bizarre demons.

The game offers also four different branching endings that are directly affected by your own choices and a new game plus mode to complete all the upgrades and achievements you weren't able to hit a single run, so I'd say for its price is a good deal and I'll encourage people to play it whenever they can.

This is one of the first "classic" PC games of this type I have ever played and I will be searching for another game like this for the rest of time, a truly one of a kind experience. The dialogue is hilariously deep, the storyline is rivetting and the atmosphere is like no other game I have ever seen. Combining trippy bright neon pinks and blues (bisexual lighting) with dark dungeons and the ability to see two different visual styles whenever you want was thrilling. Despite being new to gaming (and not fab at it) I decided to play on normal mode without any cheats (like infinite water bottle) and at times the gameplay was absolute torture yet even after dying like 19 times in a row I somehow remained enthralled, thats how you know it's good.

This beautifully combines puzzles and violence, the storyline is as delightfully unpredicatble as a crazy ex-girlfriend going from talking to a beautifully drawn character to fighting for your life in seconds flat. It's the perfect mixture of gameplay and dialogue (plus a lot of freedom to skip storyline elements if you don't want as much of it). All the girls, gays and theys should play this game. If you are new to gaming and easily frustrated they have tons of acessibility options to make the game less repetitive and if you aren't I assume people may find some of the fighting elements a bit easy but, what they might lack in super diverse enemies to face they make up for with interesting puzzles, resource scarcity and menacing atmospheres where you have no idea what too expect around any corner. This has made me fall in love with dungeon crawlers 11/10 <3
