It is fun, yes, but I will be 100% honest with you it is not worth 5 dollars. It's fun to pull up and start playing in public or in discord calls to confuse people though. You could buy it for the bit. Overall gameplay-wise the actual fun is the secret second game hidden inside of it, but the main part of the game is a complete drag because you walk so unbearably slow. It's fun to look around the whole map, and you can move quicker if you walk sideways sometimes. If it were free I'd recommend it, but otherwise you can definitely find a better and more entertaining use of 5 dollars lol

I found the "soda drinking" to be somewhat funny, but most content seems dull and tedious especially the "Vivian Clark" minigame.

world's first soda type game
Soda Drinker Pro is an emotional story about a boy exploring his subconscious. The mundanity, the surreality, and the repressed trauma, guided by his one comfort, soda. Moments jump from normal locations he's seen throughout life, often getting specific down to a tee, to memories abstracted from the passage of time. Some levels have a slow pace, simulating being bored in unexciting locations, and others make everyday objects and places seem gigantic, reminiscent of a child's view. The soundtrack aids greatly in the emotional impact of the story, most tracks have basic fl studio preset sounds to them, reflecting the mundanity of the level, but some tracks venture into loud, blaring notes to instill a sense of mania.
I will not spoil any details of the individual levels for you, but I encourage you to play through all 102 main levels + the bonus levels for the full experience. Soda Drinker Pro might not be the most accessible game, but offers a wonderful heartfelt experience if you can handle the high-end graphics, and I'd reccomend it to you walking simulator enjoyers out there.

Soda Drinker Pro is a game I've come back to every now and again for years. It's been a fun game to pull out at parties and laugh at, but until January of this year, I was unaware of Vivian Clark. It's a hidden game inside of Soda Drinker Pro that is much larger and more detailed than Soda Drinker Pro. It's one of the coolest easter eggs I've ever seen in a video game. Following this, I decided to research this game as much as possible. There were a lot of missing pieces to this story though. Vivian Clark seemed to be a separate project at one point, all the levels were ideas created by donors, and the demake is a complete mystery with no way of playing the game or watching it online. With how much I've loved this game over the years and barely finding information online, I took it upon myself to compile the most detailed documentation of this game and its development. I documented everything that is currently readily available online, old web pages that have been taken down, interviews containing important questions about its development, and I also got in contact with Nathan Boehm, the creator of the demake, to properly document its history in full and upload a long play of his demake. I am making this review because if it wasn't for the Steam reviews talking about level 2, I would've never discovered Vivian Clark. So this documentary is my contribution to the community. If you are at all interested in this game's history, I'd highly recommend watching my video. I can confidently say that this is the most up-to-date and in-depth resource when finding information about these three games.

Soda Drinker Pro and its equally whimsical and humorous Vivian Clark microgame experience are extremely unique games with an outsider art appeal to their sound design, aesthetics, and environments. Both games have clunky controls, which is particularly bothersome when playing the hidden Vivian Clark microgames.
The gameplay and controls are thin, buggy, and unwieldy; which is a significant detriment to the fast paced and sometimes inscrutable microgames. The humorous and outsider art aspects of the base game are very easy to enjoy and recommend, but they don't completely make up for the other glaring issues and won't be for most people.
While I have enjoyed my experience with both parts of the game, I would not generally recommend Soda Drinker Pro. The aesthetics have to deeply resonate to make this a game worth recommending.
If you want to play this on a Steam Deck, try setting the resolution to 1280 x 800. That should fix most issues.

Nie wiem czego oczekiwałem. Gdyby ona chociaż działała dobrze, ale nie ma tu żadnych opcji i kursor myszy nie znika z ekranu, co irytuje. Nie da się też skakać, a samo picie sody jest wolne, przez co gra nuży, jeśli poziom to po prostu cztery ściany narysowane w Paint. Za darmo byłoby to nawet zabawne doświadczenie. A tak za 16 zł mamy praktycznie pokaz dioram. Może dla jakichś najzagorzalszych fanów surrealistycznych gier będzie to ciekawe doznanie. Ja wolałbym tę grę po prostu obejrzeć na YouTube. Nieironicznie najlepsza rzecz w tej grze to jej zwiastun na Steam i piosenka z niego.

literally incredible. everyone should play this game. i look up my favorite gaming youtubers/streamers and then "soda drinker pro" or "vivian clark" and am incredibly disappointed when i see that they haven't played it. the aesthetic and art is genuinely something i strive for in life, and it's so lighthearted and silly and it's just overall wonderful.

This is easily one of my favorite games of all time, and that's not a joke. Go in blind if you can, but do note that the real game is hidden in level two, and if you miss it, you missed 90% of the game. Don't skip this game.
Шизоидная игра, поиграв в неё недолго умом тронуться, от всего: звуков, разговоров, песен, декораций, графики, передвижений. Усугубляют всё достижения, выполнение которых та ещё головная боль, и времени их выполнение займёт ой как много, что скорее умом двинешься (и в обсуждениях и руководствах есть жалобы от пользователей о том что ачивки не разблокируются, что конечно не обрадует когда после десятков часов фарма не получаешь ничего).
Много вопросов к игре, по типу что это, о чём это, что хотел донести этим автор, Что за наркомания, кем играет игрок? у него из конечностей только одна рука? или может быть играем за улитку, почему персонаж перемещается так медленно, что его обгонит инвалид без ног на одних руках, да так уйдёт в закат что потеряется из виду. Почему игрока заставляют ходить боком, в чём сакральный смысл такого передвижения?
Уровень графики конечно криповейший, это даже не PSX, это сродни графики с 3DO, похожий уровень 3D моделей. Всё что требуется от игрока для продвижения это пить соду, но тогда ты в игре более половины заложенного не увидишь, а исследовать маленькие локации в игре (сверх)крайне нудно и долго.
