I remember playing this game back on the 360 when i was a kid, I beat it multiple times by myself and with friends over the years..

After recently hearing they updated it using UE5 and on sale for 10$ i had to pick it up, its really cool to see the devs still have love for this game, to even add a new chapter after all these years is awesome.

All around a great experience, 10/10 would reccomend!

Set in an autumnal forest at dusk, this first-person horror experience starts when you find an abandoned vehicle and quickly realize you’re being watched. Darkness falls, your only way to see is a video camera that Slenderman—a tall, thin, teleporting humanoid—feeds on; when the camera flickers he’s near. Your main defenses are not looking at him and running until the camera stabilizes.

More an atmospheric walk-through than a traditional game, controls are minimal (move, look, sprint, flashlight, zoom, use) and the story never explains why you’re there. Each chapter follows a repeating loop: begin in the woods at dusk, move into night, enter abandoned structures, and complete simple tasks (power generators, collect pages, close windows). Collecting items increases the intensity of the harassment.

Strong sound design and environmental cues (paths, lights, arrows) guide exploration, and houses initially appear normal before revealing scrawled walls and disarray. Later you encounter a corporeal follower who chases and strangles you—this enemy must be blinded with your flashlight, creating tense moments where being cornered feels hopeless.

Not for everyone: you’ll search open, dark areas for small items and frequent retreats can break your sense of direction. The camera bob can be disorienting, and at times the viewpoint feels unnaturally low. Still, for about $20 and an hour or two of playtime, the game delivers a consistently tense, creepy experience centered on a single, relentless foe.

Інді-горрор у гарній обгортці. Скоріше 400 грн ціна за просто графіку, ніж за геймлпей чи страх. Як горрор не страшна гра, коротка, за хвилин 50-70 дуже легко проходиться. Да навіть на всі досягнення у мене пішло міньше ніж доба. Оптимізація не сама файна, на одному рівні лагає а на іншому ні і кадри гойдаються від 30 до 70. Геймплей - звичайний інді-горрор: бігай від монстра та собирай якесь лайно. Нормально але я б не сказав що це варто 415 грн. Напевно єдине у чому гра справді чудова - це графіка. Хоча я розумію що це інді-гра 2013 року якій зробили ремастер але як гра, напевно просто вже застаріло і тому не так цікаво, як ремастер - чудово

İnternet üzerindeki en ünlü 'creppypasta' örneklerinden biri olan Slender Man'in oyunu. Zamanında çok ünlüydü. Küçükken bu oyunun videolarını izledim, bir de kendim oynayayım diye satın aldım. İyi mi yaptım? Belirsiz.

Oyun anlaşılacağı üzere bir korku oyunu. Hayatta kalma ögeleri yok. FPS bakış açısına sahibiz. Hikaye var gibi dursa da o kadar da önemli olduğunu söyleyemeyeceğim. Bu dediklerim oyunu özetliyor. Buna göre alıp almamayı kararlaştırabilirsiniz.

2.5 saatte oyunu bitirdim. Oyunda Türkçe dil desteği yok ama bence gerekte yok. Zaten aşırı basit bir İngilizce kullanılıyor.

[h2]📖🎭Hikâye ve Atmosfer🎭📖[/h2]

Ormanlık yerde yaşayan arkadaşımız Kate'i ziyarete geliyoruz. Ama eve geldiğimizde nedense ev bomboş. Üstüne Kate'in odasında çok garip çizimler var. Ev darmadağınık halde. Yani burada bir şeyler olmuş. Amacımız ise Kate'i bulmak.

Hikaye bize genel oynanış ve oynarken karşımıza çıkan notlar üzerinden anlatılıyor. Zaten evrenin çıkışı ormanda 8 farklı notu ya da kağıdı bulmak. Yani temaya oldukça uygun bir hikaye anlatım yöntemi.

Oldukça çizgisel, bölüm bölüm ilerleyen bir yapısı var oyunun. Tek sıkıntısı checkpoint'e sahip bir oyun değil bu. Bazı bölümlerde araya yükleme ekranı girmesine rağmen bölüm bitmemiş oluyor. Siz bu arada çıkarsanız bir dahaki girdiğinizde o bölüme baştan başlamak zorunda kalıyorsunuz. Çok büyük bir eksi değil ama sinir bozucu olduğu kesin.

Oyun 10. yılına özel Unreal Engine 5'e geçerek oldukça büyük bir grafik güncellemesi aldı. Bu durum gerçekten oyunun şu anki dönemde tamamıyla oynanabilir kılmaya yetmiş.

Oyunun finalinin aşırı yetersiz olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Zaten korku dozu oldukça az bir yapım. Ve ucuz bir korkusu var. Ama yine de tema güzel olduğundan finali falan da güzel yapabilirlerdi.

Savaşma şansımızın olmadığı bu oyunda yapabildiğimiz tek şey kaçmak. Genel oynanış ise Slender Man'e bakmamak ve diğer yaratıklardan kaçmak; bunları yaparken ise oyunun verdiği görevi tamamlamak üzerinden ilerliyor.

Bir bölümde Slender Man'in minyonlarından birinden kaçarken jeneratör açmaya çalışıyoruz. Bu adam baya üstümüze koşan bir çocuk. Bu düşmanın üstüne el fenerini tuttuğumuzda gözleri kamaşıyor o ara kaçıp jeneratör bulmaya çalışmaya devam ediyoruz. Şahsen oyunda en kafa yorduğunuz bölüm bu olabilir. Ve özellikle kovalanmaktan korkuyorsanız, güzel bir bölüm.

Oyunda herhangi bir bulmaca tarzı ek bir mekanik koyan sekans yok. Korku ögeleri ise çoğunlukla jumpscare'ler üzerinden. Yani bir tık basite kaçılmış.

Oyunun ilk bölümünde Slender Man'i dağların üstünde uzaktan görebiliyoruz. Şahsen güzel bir eklenti. Hava katıyor.

Seslerin aşırı etkileyici olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Şahsen çok fazla korku türünde yapım oynamadığımdan bu konuda büyük bir fikir vermem doğru olur mu bilmiyorum ama cidden hiç korkunç olmayan bu oyunu tetikte oynamamızı sağlıyor ses tasarımı.

Когда в 2012 году бесплатная инди-игра - [b] "Slender: The Eight Pages" [/b] взорвала интернет, она подарила миру не только острые ощущение, но и новый виток интереса к жанру хорроров от первого лица на фоне своих предшественников. История безликого человека в костюме, преследующего игрока в темном лесу, оказалась настолько пугающей в своей простоте, что создание полноценного сиквела было лишь вопросом времени. И вот [b] Slender: The Arrival [/b], ремейк и сиквел одновременно, выпущенный в 2013 году, который ждали многие уже появившиеся фанаты. Моё первое знакомство было изначально на [b] Youtube [/b], но после уже прошёл сам. Однако спустя годы, были исправление и глобальное обновление которое вышло в 2023 году. Я поиграл у друга в обновленную версию и решил она стоит внимания, чтобы о ней вспомнили и поиграли те, кто не проходил хит того времени.

Игра вышла за рамки простого собирательства страниц, предложив игрокам сюжетную кампанию, новые локации и разнообразных антагонистов. Запуская игру в 2026 году (особенно обновленную версию), первые минуты присутствия вызывают смешанные чувства. Если говорить об оригинальной версии 2013 года, графика на сегодня выглядит плохо, но сохраняет дух старых инди игр, однако разработчики сделали ставку не на реалистичные текстуры, а на освещение и тени. Темнота в игре — не просто черный экран, а скрывающий угрозу в виде тонкого человека. Однако с выходом обновления на [b] Unreal Engine 5 [/b] картинка стала современной, сохранив при этом давящую эстетику ужаса. То, что цепляет сразу — это работа звукорежиссеров. В отличие от первой части, здесь есть полноценная история. [b] Лорен [/b] ищет свою пропавшую подругу [b] Кейт [/b], собирая по кусочкам ее дневники, аудиозаписи и рисунки . История подается через найденные документы и флэшбеки, что превращает игру в детективное расследование начиная с нападения тощего. Сюжет мрачный и обреченный, без надежды на хэппи-энд, что идеально соответствует игре. Без лишней воды, всё просто и понятно. [b] Слендермен [/b] - главный антагонист , который меняет тактику от уровня к уровню. Сначала вы замечаете его фигуру далеко на холмах, затем он начинает телепортироваться за спину, а к финалу становится крайне агрессивным. Если смотреть на него слишком долго, камера начинает сильно искажать изображение, а экран покрывается помехами, нагнетая всю игровую механику и заставляет нервничать как никогда. Чтобы игра не превратилась в шаблон "убегай от высокого мужика", разработчики добавили других антагонистов. Пример - девочка (Кейт) в белом капюшоне, которую можно временно обезвредить, направив на нее луч фонарика. Хочется отметить, что сюжет прост и хорош в этом, есть где подумать над некоторыми вещами если прочесть дневники.

Играть стоит в именно в актуальную версию. Проект сохранил все, за что его любили фанаты, но избавился от технической устарелости. Хочу отметить ряд плюсов, по которым стоит провести время за этой игрой. Разнообразные локации, Наличие нескольких концовок (стандартная, расширенная и хардкорная), а также секретные уровни, который открывают чуть лора в игре. Оптимизация - сильная сторона игры. [b] Марк Хэдли [/b] (создатель оригинала) совместно с [b] Blue Isle Studios [/b] создали поистине достойную игру своего жанра. Основная претензия, которая кочует из года в год. Кампания проходится за один-два вечера (около 3-4 часов), что вполне по мне приемлемо, хоррору растянутые сюжеты не нужны. В честь 10-летия игры Blue Isle Studios анонсировали масштабное обновление добавив кооператив, новую главу, кроссплатформенный моддинг и русский язык для стран СНГ, чего не былов оригинале.

The 2013 and 2015 version of the game runs really well on the Steam Deck, some frame drops in some areas such as the fire section in the chapter 'The Arrival', but not significantly that bad. After many years of playing the original, I decided to get the remake. But due to the remake being made in Unreal Engine 5, a heavily demanded game engine than Unity, definitely made my Steam Deck struggle to run it even though on the lowest graphical settings, achieving low FPS. So I got it for the Xbox Series X and works like a charm!

Le prologue est sympa, le premier chapitre est aussi bien ! Bien qu’on retrouve l’environnement pesant qu’est Slender à la base dans le premier chapitre. Le deuxième et les autres sont, disons, différents. L’ajout de divers “démons” me laissera toujours perplexe, la mise en retrait de Slender m’a fait un peu mal, parce que dans le chapitre 2, on ne fait plus du tout attention à Slender, bien que parfois il se mette dans des coins juste pour vous one-shot dès que vous tournez la tête (oui, j’ai eu un peu la haine). Mais j’ai soufflé quand j'ai vu celle (si j’ai compris l’histoire) qui m’a couru après pendant quelques minutes lors de l’activation des put*ins de générateurs…
Les pages à trouver m’ont plu, dû au lore du jeu ! Mais les générateurs ???

Ok, l’histoire, sans doute, nous amène à cet endroit, mais je ne pige pas. J’ai beau avoir lu les feuilles et toutes les choses que j’ai pu ramasser ! Je… juste… bon.
Ce que je retiens, c’est le fou du bus en slibard, qui court dans un champ ! Au moins, ça m’a fait rigoler un peu dans une ambiance, disons, étrange.

Les points qui rattrapent un peu le jeu restent quand même le premier chapitre : revivre un peu ce que le jeu Slender était de base est quand même très sympathique, oppressant, et peut parfois donner la chair de poule quand on devient un peu parano.
Les graphismes sont ok ! Le dernier petit défaut, c’est que toutes les notes ne soient pas accessibles dans le menu PAUSE. Retourner dans le menu principal, on souffle.

Bref, j’suis p’tet un peu aigri ! Mais j’suis pas un hater non plus du jeu.
Il est bien, mais peut mieux faire.

Como juego de Slenderman está bien, pero el mayor problema que tiene es que es muy corto, literalmente me lo terminé en una tarde, es entretenido eso si, cuenta una historia original interesante y su dificultad es equilibrada, pero se queda corto después de que te lo hayas terminado, y casi no tiene contenido extra, se lo recomendaría a un fan a muerte de Slenderman, pero para un jugador casual, no quedará tan satisfecho.

PD: el juego para lo que ofrece si está algo caro, por lo que preferiría que te lo consigas cuando esté de oferta.

Quisiera opinar más, pero estoy stuckeado (trabado) en la parte dos. Me gusta este juego, me gusta su historía, no sé si mantiene la mística del original, pero para alguien buscando un juego de terror, yo creo que, aunque no esté al nivel de Outlast, por ejemplo, yo creo que vas a encontrar lo que estás buscando. Si ves las fotos, o videos, es eso, CON, una historía que a mi me gustó. Dondé no cae en superficialidades, pero en profundidad, con detalles minuciosos para entenderla. Donde hay vueltas de tuerca y razonamiento. Me gusta, me gusta. La verdad que tiene cierta dificultad, no porque esté trabado, pero igualmente te deja elegir la que vos prefieras. Pero no me parece un facilón.
La verdad que el gameplay entrega lo que este tipo de juego es, por lo que estoy muy satisfecho con eso.

Ну что ж пока все проводили 14 февраля со своими парочками, я за не имением альтернативы проходил Slender The Arrival. Но не будем обо мне ведь мы говорим о игре. Это потрясающая игра которой удается пугать тебя даже спустя 13 лет после своего релиза. Такие уровни как бездна и недавно добавленный уровень с предысторией отца Чарли, держат в напряжении и способны пугать меня каждый раз как я прохожу эту игру. На счет графики могу сказать что разработчики молодцы, не каждый день увидишь как ИНДИ разработчики делать полноценный ремейк с перересовкой всего что только есть в игре(еще и за бесплатно). Музыка это вообще отдельный разговор, она потрясающая я могу слушать и говорить о ней часами. Я рекомендую ее пройти всем особенно если вы росли в те временf когда слендер был на пике популярности, тогда когда вы со своими одноклассниками смотрели видосы о нем на ютюбе, тогда когда слендера боялись все. 10 испачканых штанов от уровня в бездну из 10

- Short lifespan but just enough to be scared
- Beautiful Graphisms and very well optimized (especially the Anniversary Edition)
- Soundtracks are just perfect to fit with the ambience of this game
- The new bonus level is really good, even if it's short

Negative :
- The Story is really secondary, I think
(Except the fact we have to find our childhood friend, but that's all.)

Otherwise, this is the best Slender game ever !

C'est beau de voir le Slenderman renaitre de ses cendres via un remake graphique + des bonus de gameplay. L'histoire est cool et entrainante, le game design est une pépite, et le tout est juste masterclass. MINI SPOIL PLUS BAS

Si te gustan las historias de Creepypastas y todas esas cosas locas, es recomendable por que el juego cumple con su cometido, el cual es asustarte.
El juego aunque corto, es una grata experiencia de terror la cual no consiste en Jumpscares, sino en atormentarte con la sensación de que alguien está mirándote desde algún lugar en lo que avanzas tu aventura (Desde el nivel 1 a lo lejos puedes ver a Slenderman observandote).
Buena experiencia, pruebalo, hace mas de 10 años que salió pero con el cambio del motor grafico se siente como un juego no tan alejado de los tiempos actuales, no te vas a arrepentir de jugarlo.

Horror enthusiast here... I love resident evil, silent hill, all the OG's. I havent finished this game yet but I could instantly tell the story and atmosphere was going to be killer. I was shocked when I realized it was from 2013. Not sure why it isn't mentioned in more top 10s tbh.. Only critique i have is performance. I have a BEEFY computer and had to run frame gen and most settings on low. It works fine for me but not sure about lower end pcs. Either way, worth a try. You can always refund if its tough.

Throughout my replay of [i]Slender: The Arrival,[/i] I had a question constantly nagging my mind: “What was the point?” Sure, the outdoor sections of this game look stunning in Unreal Engine 5; however, when contrasted with the indoor sections—which make up the majority of the gameplay—it creates tonal dissonance. Slenderman stands flat in a house ripped from 2013, juxtaposed against hyperrealistic foliage; what is the point in turning one insignificant element of your game into a tech demo, when it stands to make the rest of the game look jank?

[i]Slender: The Arrival[/i] misunderstands what made the original tech demo, [i]Slender: The Eight Pages,[/i] terrifying. By stretching the game into a full-length narrative, the game sacrifices the feeling of being relentlessly hunted by an unstoppable force; Slenderman now appears in predictable, scripted moments, acting as a voyeuristic traffic controller while the player slowly strolls around him. I can only assume these sacrifices were made to focus on the narrative rather than the gameplay; however, when the story is reduced to scattered notes that do little to deepen the experience, it seems baffling to abandon the core horror element for a narrative that is barely attempted.

The new level, [i]Nightmare,[/i] makes some interesting strides; the set is much more engaging, the atmosphere is conveyed competently, and a story can be somewhat constructed from the cryptic clues scattered throughout the level. This said, the error in creating a threat is once again pronounced, as there is no real danger throughout the level. If anything can be gained from this update, it’s that Blue Isle Studios has the potential to make an interesting horror game; it just needs to be a full step removed from this mess.

It’s been over a decade since teens sacrificed themselves to Creepypasta monsters; the world that existed in 2013 is long gone, and I don’t believe this game can stand on its own when disconnected from the zeitgeist that birthed it. The Slenderman mythos has the potential to spawn a fantastic game, but [i]Slender: The Arrival[/i] just isn’t it.

Disregard the rest of my review, any game set in Alberta (God’s land) is bound to be a misunderstood masterpiece.

Я сюжет не понял до конца, надо разбор посмотреть, но как я понял, был пацан, который пропал, потом девка, которая на почве слендера сошла с ума, а дальше ♥♥♥♥♥ не понял(надо было записки читать), пожар какой то. Как страшилка тоже такое себе, пролог и глава с записками страшная, очень хорошо передана атмосфера и плюс графику ремейкнули, это тоже сыграло на руку атмосфере. В принципе по скидке норм, сюжет тоже, если записки любите читать, но я не из таких.

Well I did played this game a while back from the older version. I've yet to check on the new content added on the new update, but I can say it's worth checking out if your into these kind of games. I had somebody else that has played a compilation of Slender games before so it was quite the experience the first time we touched way back then. Overall the same experience is still there for anyone that has played the original version of Slender The Arrival, even if my first exposure was on the Xbox 360 store back then.

also has possibly the worst final level ive ever seen in a game

Slender: The Arrival takes a simple horror concept and stretches it just far enough to stay effective.

This isn’t a game about combat or power. It’s about vulnerability. You’re alone, under-equipped, and constantly unsure whether you’re actually being watched — which is exactly why it works. The game understands that imagination does more damage than monsters ever could.

The atmosphere does the heavy lifting. Forests feel endless, abandoned buildings feel wrong, and the sound design keeps you second-guessing every step. When Slender shows up, it’s never flashy — it’s subtle, sudden, and deeply uncomfortable.

What helps the game stand out from its indie roots is the added structure. Unlike the original Slender concept, The Arrival gives you a narrative framework and varied locations. It’s still minimal, but there’s a clear sense of progression instead of just wandering until you lose.

That said, it is very focused on one idea. If you’re immune to slow-burn horror or need constant action, this won’t land as hard. Some sections rely on trial-and-error, which can dull the tension if repeated too often.

But when it clicks, it clicks hard.

Slender the Arrival. Where do I begin? It's very beautifully made (have it on my switch as well). I am a long time Creepypasta fan, and the fact that I seen multiple youtubers give this love made me want to buy it, so I did. Glad I did. The 8 pages level of the game brings me back to the really early days of Slenderman and its intense. Slender gets progressively aggressive the more pages you find just like in the old ios and Android. I'm glad I finally got around to playing it as it brings me strange comfort from my childhood and good memories. Thank you for making this game at the peak of Slenderman.

Slender: The Arrival is a solid horror game with a clear connection to the original Slender experience. You can absolutely see the influence of the original game in the atmosphere, pacing, and overall design, and it’s cool to see that concept expanded into a more complete experience.

The environments are dark and unsettling, and the sound design does a good job of keeping you on edge. Visually, the game still looks good, and the presentation is simple but effective at building tension rather than relying only on jump scares.

On Normal or Easy difficulty, the game is actually very straightforward. A full playthrough can be surprisingly quick, and you can easily finish it in under an hour once you know what you’re doing. For casual players who just want to experience the story and atmosphere, it’s very accessible.

However, everything changes when you start going for achievements. That’s when the game becomes genuinely horrible in terms of difficulty. Nightmare Mode takes this to another level. It is easily 1000 times harder than Normal or Easy, turning simple sections into stressful and unforgiving challenges. What was once manageable becomes relentless, and completing achievements on this difficulty takes a lot of patience and repeated attempts.

Overall, Slender: The Arrival is easy to enjoy but very hard to master. The base game is simple and approachable, but the achievement grind and Nightmare Mode are extremely challenging and can be frustrating. If you just want a quick horror experience, it’s great. If you’re a completionist, be ready for pain.

Раньше боялись слендермена... А сейчас тишина, почему так?
Да мы сейчас взрослые заняты своими деламии, работой прочее другое. Я до сих пор боюсь слендермена ( Так как меня запугали им настолько, что я даже не хочу ходить в лес или заброшеные здания.)
Пишу коментарий ночью, да знаю что поздее время для других( но и еще утренее время.)

Great game visually. However, the gameplay is kind of all over the place in terms of quality. I liked the collect the eight pages and generator levels, but levels such as the forest fire maze were just okay. I would recommend getting this, but only on a sale. It's definitely not worth $20 as I beat the game in just slightly over an hour and a half on my first playthrough.

O conteúdo original lançado em 2013 é muito bom, expandiu a gameplay simples e repetitiva que já vinha sendo replicada há exaustão desde que a creepypasta dele explodiu por meados de 2011, mas o novo conteúdo que veio com a nova atualização é PORCO!
Pra começar que quintuplicaram o preço do jogo com a atualização, então com certeza tem muita coisa nova né? O jogo tem mais 2 ou 3 sessões EXTREMAMENTE lineares, scriptadas e com objetivos que te fazem ir e voltar de uma ponta a outra do mapa propositalmente para aumentar o tempo de jogo... nada natural, nada bem feito, só um walking simulator com uma história muito meia boca que muitas das vezes foge completamente da lenda original. Além disso, o jogo ficou bizarramente pesado, como que a porra de um jogo de 2013 pede uma RTX 2070 como placa recomendada? E não se enganem, os gráficos não estão incríveis, são os mesmos gráficos de 2013 mas com mil efeitos de lens, blur e outras ladainhas de raytracing que fazem um jogo que rodava a 300 fps abaixar para 80 engasgando.
Em resumo, um desastre, na promoção por menos de 15 reais é um jogo legal, para quem acompanhou a febre de creepypastas na época é uma nostalgia muito boa ser perseguido por esse maluco, mas que porqueira que é esse (entre MUITAS aspas) ''conteúdo novo''.
Se tivessem adicionado isso sem aumentar o preço seria ok, as partes novas ainda são muito fracas? Sim, mas de graça até injeção na testa. Agora quererem me cobrar 60 conto num jogo do SLENDER em 2025 é de uma sacanagem absurda.
