just completed my first run. DO NOT READ ANY GUIDES. GO IN BLIND. i'm so glad i did. this game is worth the full price, and i haven't even "fully" played it yet/explored all the paths. you know how some games are designed to be replayed, but you mostly do so just because you want the achievements? with this one, i'm genuinely so curious what the other paths/choices held - i'll replay it, not just for completionism's sake. the writing is genuinely GOOD, i love how character-driven it is.
also, as a norse/celtic pagan, i'm very glad and grateful this exists. there's very, very few games out there that cater to pagan sensibilities with so much integrity, authenticity and actual knowledge of our and our ancestors' practices - i'm genuinely so grateful. can't wait to play more. such a unique, original game. one of a kind. thank you so much for this gift. <333333333

只有第一部一意孤行有中文，后面的都没中文了好可惜，虽说没中文，但是并不难懂剧情，可以当英语小说入门，画面音乐配乐都很不错，为了标题的主题曲特地买了原声轨道，太好听了，就是前面的剧情挺一般的，玩着玩着就能打哈欠，但是玩到最后一章了剧情就还是可以的
Franchement rafraichissant comme jeu/histoire. La DA et le Chara design est excellent, la musique envoutante, les choix multiples impactant.
Le lore et les intrigues des personnages sont bien cool a suivre. Les textes sont très bien rédigé et le vocabulaire y est riche.
Un bon visuel novel bien qu'un poil court et qui manque de voix à mon sens. Le système d'embranchement est un peu obscur également, une vrai arborescence disponible a la fin du jeu aurait été sympa, dommage.

J'aime énormément ce jeu, comme tous ceux de Nova-box ! J'ai tellement joué et rejoué pour avoir tous les succès (100% aujourd'hui ouii), l'ambiance mythique, nature, magique est sublime, j'ai eu de belles surprises à travers le jeu, les personnages sont attachants et j'ai adoré suivre toutes les routes ! J'ai ressenti énormément d'émotion et j'adore écouter les musiques de l'album que j'ai acheté aussi ! Je recommande chaudement !
A short little gem with beautiful artwork. I was sufficiently compelled to 100% the game after 2-3 blind runs.
Though the paths all converge towards similar endings, I found it enjoyable to see the story from multiple angles even if it was somewhat repetitive at times.
You'll find the experience pleasant and spiritual as long as you don't come into it expecting a game with massive scope, complex flowcharts and multi-faceted characters.
Regarding romance options: [spoiler] you can pursue a heterosexual and/or homosexual encounter. I found it particularly subversive for the WLW romance to be so defiant as opposed to the usual "bury your lesbians" trope. Your partner is [i] determined [/i] to save you and elope, go lesbians! The beautiful artwork makes this a real pleasure to play. You have opportunities to guide and influence multiple members of the group with your choices throughout the story. A single playthrough is satisfying, but further playthroughs are as rewarding. These may yield different outcomes and a greater understanding of the Seers Isle.
I've played this through a couple of times and I've really enjoyed it! The characters are all very interesting, and I feel invested in their individual storylines. The mystery of the island is so intriguing. The art, of course, is incredible, and I always find myself waiting to continue the dialogue because I get so caught up looking at it. Based on your choices, the story branches off in different directions, which makes replays unique.
I've played Seers Isle a while ago, and I rarely leave reviews. I leave one today because I've just bought the studio's game bundle, containing all games from Nova Box.

If you're looking for an immersive narrative experience, with surprises and takes that will surprise you, look no further. Don't read spoilers and experience it. It's a really great game.
This is a tough recommendation. I am not a fan of the underlying framework, but the presentation makes this worth spending time on.
The world is compelling; it has a beautiful hand-drawn art style, moving music; very enjoyable to the senses. The story flirts with some interesting topics like memory, time-travel, magic, and identity. I enjoyed immersing myself in the sights and sounds of this place, and I found that I could.
However, after finishing the game, I find myself unsatisfied on two fronts:
A) I feel unsure of the narrative's overarching message. Despite having clear theme's, I can't tell you what the author wanted to say about them.
B) Blind decisions are not satisfying. Under the hood, the primary purpose of the choices in this game is to modify hidden stats. These stats serve to funnel you towards one of four primary companions/endings. The trouble is, you have no way of knowing which stats apply to which companion. You are making blind choices. Which essentially means you are not making a choice at all. I understand that this emulates life in a sense; we don't know what effect our choices will have before we make them. But I would argue that one of the core tenets of any game, is the presence of systems that produce an outcome closer to what the player wants if they make intelligent, informed decisions. Blind decisions do not reward good play.
TLDR: It is my opinion this would have been more fulfilling as a movie with a defined narrative. But what we have is a beautiful game where players do not have any real agency.
I had a lot of fun in the moment-to-moment gameplay, but I wish the game gave me a more satisfying resolution to everything that was going on. I could replay the game and see the other routes, but I'm not invested enough to figure out those routes. I still loved the game - the visuals, the music, the twist protagonist.
All the endings are good and the story is really worth it !

Visual novel créé par NovaBox (située près de Bordeaux), à qui on doit également les très bons AlongTheEdge et AcrossTheGrooves.
L'histoire orientée fantasy est bien écrite avec des dialogues qui sonnent juste (pas trop longs, pas surjoués, ...), et les "slides" sont magnifiquement dessinés, avec une jolie bande son d'accompagnement.
Le jeu offre différents choix qu'on prendra plaisir à explorer avec quelques runs supplémentaires, sachant que le jeu est plutôt court : compter 2h pour le premier run, et environ 30/45mn pour les suivants en zappant une grande partie des séquences déjà connues.
A recommander les yeux fermés pour les amateurs du genre !

This game is fairly short (I completed a run in about 90 minutes), but a decent amount of replay-ability. I love the almost 'this is a painting' art style as I think it really suits the genre/setting.
The characters are pretty varied, and I think there's something for everyone.
If you like visual novel style games and think the value proposition is good, I definitely encourage playing it.

Seers Isle is a choice-based visual novel by Nova-box. In this game, you guide a group of aspiring shamans to be judged by the seers, mysterious spirits who can bestow magical powers. It's very similar in gameplay to their previous title, Along the Edge. As you follow the group on their quest, you make choices that will shape their journey. Many of the choices correspond to one of four symbols, and the symbols you end up with the most of will determine which ending path you reach.
The plot was initially really confusing, but it was pretty satisfying to play it through a couple of times and figure out what was going on. It felt like the plot was coming into focus, as things that didn't make sense the first time around became clearer with new information. Unfortunately, it turns out that a lot of your choices don't really matter very much. A lot of them are pretty inconsequential and change nothing about the story except the symbols and some text, and a few are even false choices, where one option isn't really an option and only one choice can ever play out. While I was able to figure out the general meanings of the symbols (I think) they were pretty vague and didn’t seem to apply consistently, so it was sometimes hard to make choices to try to get a particular symbol. I also never really liked any of the endings I got. They were okay, but felt pretty similar to each other and were all a bit unsatisfying.
The characters are pretty interesting and I enjoyed getting to know their personalities and backstories. Rowan, who ends up being the “main” character, is actually the least interesting, probably because we spend the most time with her over multiple playthroughs, but she isn't any deeper than the other characters. Her relationships with her companions are meant to be deep but come out of nowhere and all feel a bit same-y. They aren’t detailed enough to make them feel meaningful or to make them stand out from each other. [spoiler] It seems like there was some part of the time loop where she physically makes the journey with them but we get relatively few details about that and nothing that gives much context for why she means so much to her companions [/spoiler]
Overall, I did like Seers Isle because it does some things really well. I liked seeing the initially confusing story fall into place, I enjoyed getting to know the characters' backstories, and the music and watercolor art were beautiful. However, a lot of choices aren't very meaningful, it's very repetitive, and I felt like the story was missing some pieces. It had some disappointing weaknesses but I still feel it was worth playing. 6/10
Amazing game with excellent story ++++
Honestly, I don't even remember buying this game. I saw it in my library over the years and all I could think about was: "Why did I even buy it?" And then, few days back I tried it out and was hooked instantly. The first playthrough was absolutely magical for me. I didn't care about the symbols, about the "game" part of the game. I just picked whatever choice made sense and let the story take me wherever it was about to take me.
One playthrough is only a few hours long so if anoyne has some time on their hands and need a little push to try this game then I can't recommend it enough. I wanted to see all there is in the game, so I replayed it a few times and then I had to care about the "game" parts. But I don't think it's necessary to replay it if the game doesn't grip you just much as it gripped me.

I've played across the grooves from this same developer. My comments are basically the same but this one is a little bit less engaging to me. I love the art work and the solemn soundtrack and there is a certain atmosphere. However, in terms of story there's not enough here and even the characters don't feel fleshed out. Off course, it's only about 3 hours long. It'd give this a 6 or 6,5 out of ten. That's not a bad score but it's not a recommendation from me either.

it was ok? i would give it a 5/10, i've played better VNs that were around the same length. described as a story rich game but honestly the story was kinda burdensome more than anything.

Maybe by the end of the game you won't have understood so much about seers as much as about yourself. You can find a plot twist and some meta gaming that is going to surprise you in the end. One negative point: I would expect some psychological analysis of the player based on the gameplay. The story is quite straightforward, there are some short but well depicted characters' backgrounds and a bit or replayability. The soundtracks really fit the world. The game is a bit expensive though considering the total duration and the fact that the story is quite linear.

Une expérience atypique et rare, avec une vraie proposition narrative et artistique. Le concept, et les visuels inégaux, peuvent laisser des gens sur le côté, mais le jeu mérite qu'on y jette un œil curieux.
Atmospheric and visually quite pretty, yet it failed to make me really invested with the story or characters, which is especially unfortunate for a visual novel.
Of the three Nova-Box games I played, this one is definitely my favorite and I played it through three times. (I do believe my steam hours are incorrect for some reason). I really enjoyed the historical nomadic fantasy setting. The game focuses on a group of several characters going through a ritual and the characters that end up being your focus can vary depending on your choices, which I found quite fascinating in opposition to the other two games of theirs I have played. And they pull it off too. Because their stories are so short, they can actually make meaningful differences in branching paths, and that is what I love about these games.
I heartily recommend this one and if you enjoy your first playthrough, definitely do it again and make different decisions.

I was really disappointed with the story in Seers Isle.
The game starts off strong, with the protagonist and their fellow shaman apprentices setting foot on a sacred island to be initiated to magic. The setting is atmospheric and the story is intriguing. However, the game quickly loses its momentum. The pacing becomes erratic, with long stretches of dialogue and exploration followed by brief bursts of action. Some sections felt rushed and others felt like they dragged on forever. This makes it difficult to stay engaged with the story.
The characters are also a major disappointment. The protagonist is a blank slate who doesn't have much personality. The other characters are also one-dimensional and forgettable. I found it hard to care about what happened to them. SPOILER-Towards the end of the game, you can become one of the characters' companions. However, there is no lead-up to this relationship. The characters barely interact with each other before you are suddenly supposed to believe that they are deeply in love. This lack of development makes the relationship feel unconvincing and forced.
The only thing that kept me playing Seers Isle was the artwork and the promise of multiple endings. However, even this was not enough to redeem the game for me. The endings are all variations on the same theme, and they don't offer any real satisfaction.

7/10 Créé par une petite société bordelaise du nom de Nova Box, ce visual novel sous forme de bd interactive nous plonge dans un univers plein de magie et de mystère où nos choix auront un poids concernant le destin de chacun des protagonistes. Le jeu a su m'embarquer directement dans son récit tant le travail autour de son atmosphère est maîtrisé. Cependant, quelques détails auraient pu selon moi être améliorés pour encore plus de satisfaction.
❤ Une histoire bien construite et presque envoutante dans sa façon de raconter et de dévoiler les mystères autour des personnages. Aussi, là où dans beaucoup de visual novels notre action de faire des choix de dialogues nous laisse spectateur si je puis dire, elle joue ici un rôle dans l'histoire même. J'ai trouvé cela très pertinent et ça renforce le côté immersif du jeu.
❤ Immersion d'ailleurs qui se fait énormément à travers des illustrations absolument magnifiques!!! Certains pourraient regretter un manque d'animation mais j'ai trouvé le rendu vraiment dynamique et l'imagination aide à faire le reste facilement.

❤ Si les yeux en prennent pleins la vue, je ne vous parle même pas de l'ambiance sonore et musicale. Les bruitages nous plongent dans les paysages et les musiques sont splendides et participent à l'ambiance mystique du jeu.
❤ Les personnages sont attachants et ont chacun une personnalité propre et sans clichés faciles.
+/- Le jeu a une bonne rejouabilité au vu des différentes routes à débloquer (4 personnages ont 2 routes chacun) mais elles sont très similaires au final donc plutôt répétitives.
+/- La sauvegarde automatique est une bonne idée en soit, ça empêche de vouloir revenir en arrière et effacer un choix....mais si on veut débloquer les 8 routes, ce sont surtout les choix de fin qui sont importants. Du coup, se retaper 8 fois la même histoire devient contraignant (surtout comme dit plus tôt, les routes ne sont pas si différentes).
✖ Aussi, je regrette qu'il n'y ait pas une indication du texte déjà lu (genre un texte en couleur ou une avance rapide juste pour les dialogues débloqués). J'ai trouvé par hasard qu'en restant appuyé sur la barre espace, cela faisait passer le texte bien plus vite, mais ce n'est pas très pratique non plus.
✖ Le système de route n'est pas très clair ; le jeu nous donne 4 symboles (œil, main, homme, cerf) et selon nos choix, certains symboles s'illuminent. Le problème est le manque de clarté sur quels dialogues va influer sur quels symboles, mais également quels symboles pour quels personnages. Pour la première partie, ça ne dérange pas trop mais quand on souhaite débloquer d'autres routes, ça n'est toujours pas limpide (alors heureusement il y a une page succès dans le jeu pour au moins comprendre comment accéder aux routes des personnages mais j'aurais aimé pouvoir le deviner moi même).
✖ Je trouve que le jeu aurait mérité une sorte de "true end" car après avoir fini toutes les routes, il reste quand même beaucoup de questionnement autour du personnage de Rowan et j'ai une impression de manque.

Si Seer Isle est en partie un drame, j'en ressors pourtant avec le sourire d'avoir pu vivre pleinement son histoire grâce à un travail de qualité sur son atmosphère visuelle et auditive. Je serais curieuse de découvrir d'autres créations de ce studio.
Loved the art and the music. Unfortunately, I was so frustrated by the story and how the choices played out, that by the ending, I was skipping through dialogue just to get to the ending.
Juste après l'avoir fini, je n'étais pas sure d'avoir aimé le jeu. Mais finalement, j'ai vraiment bien accroché à son atmosphère mystérieuse, à ses personnages déroutants et à son histoire plus ou moins cruelle. Et c'est visuellement très, très beau !

I like these relaxing interactive stories much more than I should. The artwork great, the atmosphere too. The story was a little unsatisfying for my taste, but it was definitely fun.
I normally don't feel compelled to write reviews, but, I feel as I've been deceived. This game is nothing like it presents itself to be - neither in description or screenshots. I kept progressively getting more bored - and more annoyed - as the game went forward. The are no "choices" in this game, just picking between two dialogue options every 5 TO 10 MINUTES. If I wanted that I would go watch a movie, because then at least then I'd go in knowing I could do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the story. The story is not as intriguing as it thinks it is, although the premise was cool, you lose all interest in the game once you realize no matter what you do, the character's fates a predetermined, the game presents this as "no bad endings in seers isle" but it is actually "no game play in seers isle." And I know, I love visual novels for their unique storytelling and game play combination, so I know anything labeled as such will not operate the same way a typical game does. This is not that - this is a waste of money.
but...but it was so sad.....

I liked how the decisions I made truly had an impact on the story. I liked the characters, they were all different yet they were not too much of a stereotype. They were believable. And, I liked them all, because they all have flaws but they are also all likeable.
The art is nice, the story all in all is nice, from the start to the end. I didn't like all the endings (I played them all through because I was curious) but that's just because I don't like when characters that I came to like die. I'm a little bit sensitive in that regard^^ But, I still wanted to experience all the possible endings. Oh, and it was creative. The endings were truly different, not only slightly so. Made it worth the time to play them all :)

Definitely the best Game of Nova-box yet, the pacing is really good and doesnt seem to have the same Problem of the other stories (big exposition dumps in the middle), you are always in the action, the story is interesting and mystical, art looks great - music is well designed
Only thing i had to criticise is a few Choices seem to be "Illusion of Choice", since the Characters did the other approach i did not want anyways?

Resulta extraña la forma en que algunos juegos pueden provocar sonrisas o lagrimas sin que uno lo espere. Esta novela consigue con su música, la ambientación, las decisiones, la profundidad de personajes e historia confundir y encantar a su público. Tras terminarla, quedo con dudas sobre todo lo ocurrido en ella y con el deseo de volver a jugarla para comprender mejor la historia, probando otras opciones para conocer mas del pasado y las motivaciones de los personajes. Sin duda la recomiendo a quienes aprecien una historia sin prisas o necesiten desconectar y relajarse.
Une belle épopée sur de jeunes chamans venus passer un rite initiatique sur une île mystique. C'est écrit avec beaucoup de poésie, et les illustrations sont magnifiques. Il manque quand même un je-ne-sais-quoi, dans le rythme du récit, ou dans le manque de détails sur l'univers ; ça évoque un très bon roman de fantasy, sans avoir les centaine de pages nécessaires pour générer plus d'investissement émotionnel. À tenter tout de même !

Rather short Visual Novel with many choices (that are shallow, but I'll talk about it below) and amazing atmosphere. Like many people before me, I don't think that Seers Isle is a top notch game, but it definitely deserves positive rating.

[*]Visuals - definitely one of the strongest points of this game. Beautiful backgrounds, great characters designs, no mismatch between assets (which is a problem with many VNs).
[*]Audio - I really liked audio since the beginning (well made song in main menu). It helps to build atmosphere and it "fits" the art style of Seers Isle.
[*]Characters - most of them were cliche warriors/hunters/medic but this is actually not bad in this type of a game. In my opinions they were interesting enough, especially after looking at their background in their respective paths.

Bravo ! j'ai passé un excellent moment avec ce visual novel de tres haut niveau . Je me suis laissé emporté par l'histoire et la beauté des graphismes et de la musique . Chaque ecran pourrait me servir de fond d'ecran pour mon portable. J'ai fait le jeu avec des air pod et quelque fois j'ai eu l'impression que les sons sont spacialisé et venait de l'exterieur alors que c'etait le son du jeu . J'ai fait une des fins du jeu et le probleme ,c'est que je suis telement content de cette conclusion que j'ai pas envie de refaire le jeu pour avoir d'autres fins. J'ai adoré " across the groove " , le jeu du studio de 2020 . Je viens de terminer " Seers Isle " jeu de 2018 et il me reste heureusement un dernier jeu " Along the edge " sorti en 2016 . J'espere de tout coeur avoir un nouveau jeu de cette qualité en 2022. J'adore la narration et les graphismes . C'est de l'art pour moi et c'est digne des meilleurs films ou roman. Bravo !!!!!!

J'ai beaucoup aimé ce jeu :) Déjà, les graphismes et la bande-son sont incroyables (à mon goût en tout cas) et ont été travaillés. Ensuite, l'histoire est composée de plusieurs chemins et fins, concept que j'aime. Enfin bref, très bon jeu, je conseille ! :)
Chronotraveling has always been a part of these stories. Most of the time its implemented horribly, (take the DC Universe mess - 3 relaunches sheesh.) I like all the characters, for once the developer tried to make all their characters like able. And for a VN the replayability of is VAST. Simple decisions go a long ways. And sometimes to reach different endings you have to make choices that might go against your own feelings, but the endings come to a satisfactory conclusion. Even if you aren't necessarily happy with the way it comes out.
Its damn good story telling. And I haven't even finished everything out yet. This is only 15 hours of playing through and 3 replays.

Short story but with many choices, great melodic music you would expect from fairy tale, cast of characters each with their own story to tell.
And of course their unique art style which you won't find anywhere else. Probably the most eye pleasing for VNs out there on Steam.
I still would recommend to play through their modern times mystery titles first though like Along the Edge or Across the Grooves.
Ethereal graphics and a killer story. And such amazing replay value that I just sat down, played the whole thing through four times in a row, and still haven't even encountered everything. 10/10

I'm very sad to be leaving a negative review for such a beautiful game. My TLDR is: go play Along the Edge, which is better in every aspect. Nova-box has some wickedly good artists, and both games have stunning visual art and soundtrack. The writing is very good on both of them, with characters that feel very different from each other, even in short games (~2h each playthrough), that you can really feel connected to them. So go now and play Along the Edge, it's a really great game. If you have played Along the Edge and is in doubt about playing Seers Isle, well, let's talk Seers Isle. Marked spoilers ahead.
The main "game" element from these games is the alignment system, in which your actions do not have immediate consequence, but rather build up your character to a point where eventually the path splits. This is very well done in Along the Edge, with every choice having a clear sun/moon and globe/star alignment. In Seers Isle, for most of the game, I can't predict whether my actions will result in an antler, man, hand or eye. Seriously, it's a coin toss. I have gathered from steam guides that the meanings of the symbols are [spoiler]antler = gaia, hand = chaos[/spoiler], but that is still too vague. For a particularly jarring case, in the confrontation with [spoiler]Erik[/spoiler], if I side with [spoiler]Duncan, thus "playing by the rules" of single combat[/spoiler], I get "Hand", and if I side with [spoiler]Freya, intervening against the "natural" order of events[/spoiler], I get "Eye"? This does not make any sense to me! I believe that some of the confusion stems from the player not knowing which choices are being made by the "boat" characters and which are made by [spoiler]Rowan[/spoiler]. Maybe?
A second problem comes from the way this game handles the "choices have consequences" idea. There are some things that happen in the game that are completely unavoidable, where others are influenced by your actions. However, the way the story is written it *feels* like you should be able to change some events that you actually can't. The main one for me is [spoiler]Erik's confrontation[/spoiler] of course, but I feel really cheated when I try my best to keep [spoiler]Brandon[/spoiler] in the party, by siding with him at EVERY TURN, only to find out that he always leaves in a scripted event. A final minor quibble for me is the fact that you can develop some relationships between characters on the first chapters (I'm looking at you [spoiler]Arlyn/Freya[/spoiler]), but this is irrelevant as there is literally no ending on which both of these characters even survive together.
All in all, beautiful art, great soundtrack, solid writing, interesting ideas, but from a "game" perspective, this is unfortunately a let down. TL;DR, when I play a "choices have consequences", I want to be able to influence the plot, but in this game I feel that every choice is a coin toss.
This is a gem. Nova-Box once again made something very special. Delicate poetry, amazing soundtrack, subtle story that you will understand more and more with each path / ending.
I would recommend this in a heartbeat.

I heard good words about this game, so I tried. The story itself is OK-ish but at the end of the day, I can't recommend this.
It claims to have a lot of branches and "EVERY CHOICE MATTERS", yeah, these words are used a lot these days. But no, I totally disagree.
If you want absolutely no spoilers, you can stop reading here. That's all I wanted to say.
Below I'll try my best to be spoiler-free, if you think a little glimpse to the plot is OK, then keep reading, I'll explain more.
Whatever you do, whichever choice you make, the plot doesn't diverge from its rail. Maybe a few lines of dialogs change after your choice, then it goes back immediately forgetting what happened. If a certain character may die, he/she always dies. If someone will leave, he/she leaves anyways, even you tried to keep that person along for a while, there's no dialog for that poor dude, he/she will be invisible for the whole journey.
This game is trying to make a twist, but in a poor way. The first half of the game, as a player you'll be making choices for everyone, which is quite weird for a "Choose your own path" game. (which I thought it was when played for the first time) The game does explain why later but it's too late. I could not get involved because of this constantly hopping from one character to another, without explaining their background and motivations. I don't know what to choose, I don't know why it's me to choose. It was confusing until the later half, when I totally lost my interest.
The real branch happens near the end of the story, and I don't really want to call it a branch. It's just who you choose to [spoiler]romance[/spoiler] with. Other things remain mostly the same. And this is actually the part I dislike because it was not advertised as a [spoiler]romance[/spoiler] story in the first place. The trial, the seers, what are they? It doesn't matter in the end, and almost nothing about them is explained. They remain as a mystery from beginning to end.
Replayability? As I said the difference is tiny between different paths. And there's nothing like a grand finale after getting all of them. So unless you're a completionist I don't recommend relaying the game again and again. Not to mention the game lacks some quality of life features regarding multiple playthroughs, like mark up and only skip the part you've read, or even a fast skip speed. (It took me ~20 mins to skip through, normal play may only take 2~3 hours)
I played this game on my Twitch stream and it was a great choice for streaming.
The art is gorgeous (many scenes are illustrated in a beautifully hand-painted style), the story and characters are compelling, and there's plenty of replay value as well. Having finished the game only once, I have so many questions that still haven't been answered. There are so many decisions to make that I imagine the decision tree for this game can get pretty complex!
Also, as a queer person, I was pleasantly surprised that the path I chose included a f/f romance. :)
Buy this game if you like visual novels and games where choices matter! You won't regret it.
The only criticism I have about the game is the grammar. The presence of misused commas occasionally tripped me up (I read the text out loud on my stream). But it's not prevalent... just occasional.

J'ai adoré le mélange de culture. Les dessins sont sublimes, les musiques sont belles. L'histoire nous fais toujours douter de nos choix. J'ai vraiment étais transporter dans l'univers, une expériences enrichissantes. J'ai hâte de le faire à nouveau avec différent choix!

A beautifully draw game & great adventure story with multiple playthrough options to see the fates of all the characters. Totally recommended for anyone who likes the genre and theme, but especially for streamers, as Twitch also has "interaction mode" where viewers can participate in choosing what the player does.
I only have one complaint. It was good to see a person of color in the setting, because this reflects actual history not the monochrome idea usually pushed. **But** the problem is the devs wrote the villagers as automatically all racist towards Arlyn and her family who were darker skinned.
Whether unintentional or not, this pushes the false belief that all peoples were auto-racist, even if the story says its because their father was an outsider. But then they specifically made him dark skinned? Also, this pushes the idea that racism "has always been around. that's just how things were/are." Also false, as explorers and travelers from the Africa continent also traveled the world and were in European societies.
Its a dual issue that suggests Eurocentric beliefs and ignorance, and why diversity in production and consultation is needed in development and writing. They could and should have educated themselves accurately and avoided this.
Interesting structure for choice mechnics, very fresh. To get on a route, you need to pick choices that represent the values of a given character. I also like the use of the time looping trope for the story.
As we arrive on the island with a group of warriors seeking aid for their clans and families, we clib with them to the top of the mountains to be judged worthy or not by the seekers. But other things happen along the way and the story isn't as simple.
The story itself is a bit too fatalistic and hopeless and also a little too underdeveloped - it has the potential to be truly breathtaking and affecting if made longer. The endings don't feel well balanced - only girl companions manage to get the better end of the deal. Artwise, each scene is like a beautiful handcrafted painting.
The island is unusual and lots of different things happen. The characters go through various dreams and trials that explore their backgrounds - this was done very well. The main character reveals herself only gradually and that keeps the interest and the interest grows when we know the truth because I want her to suceed in her quest together with her chosen companion - that sadly doesn't happen, unless you play as the girl companion, which is why I definitely feel the endings could have been balanced better, because they feel unfair. But they still aren't very affecting, either. i mean I forget about the as soon as I finish - it's because the game is too shor, not enough time to flesh everything out and I don't really develop strong affection for any of the characters. They are appealing but i don;t develop an attachment that would make me feel strongly enough about them.
overall, an interesting experiment, a story that is simple on the outside but gradually unfolds its inner layer gradually into something more interesting, the concept is good. I most of all like the fresh approach to choices.

Immersive story with twists and turns at every corner. It's able to be set with Twitch so you can have your viewers pick what happens next.
I applaud Seers Isle for trying to tell a more mature story than most visual novels that settle for romance or sex. It wasn't perfect but it was solid and enjoyable. It certainly makes me take notice of the developer despite a few issues I had.
My main issues with it were that I felt it didn't have a very satisfactory ending and I didn't feel that the choice structure was explained very well. I played through it twice so far and both times I couldn't seem to get it to focus on the characters I was interested in. The endings also left me with more questions than answers, which, while sometimes a good thing , just frustrated me here. The choice structure also was strange. There were four symbols that choices can correspond to but it is never explained what they mean. My last gripe is that you can't skip text to go to the next choice. When doing additional play throughs I don't need to reread parts that are the same regardless of choices.
Now with all that being said I still enjoyed the game. The art is gorgeous and very well done. The characters all have a great backstory and while the endings are sub par the journey to it is fleshed out well. There were no option to have multiple save files on the same play through but I can respect wanting to make choices matter more. That being said giving the option to manually save whenever without exiting to the main menu would be appreciated.
I finished this play through in 103 minutes. The game had originally gave me no issues and then all of a sudden wouldn’t launch on Linux. The developer ended up switching the game to Unity from an Electron based engine and that worked just fine. The game never crashed on me once and I noticed no spelling errors. I played using version 2.0.0 of the game from Steam and used Linux. I paid $12.99 USD for it and feel that is a good price for it.

I loved these characters within 11 minutes of playing the game. Every different choice reveals new information and every ending is intense and interesting. I highly recommend this game. They made a world that had a lot of parallels to our own while still making me curious about every bit of lore and knowledge I learned. The music is calming and very fitting to the story making the visual novel feel immersive, and I loved the mix of intrigue, curiosity and confusion I felt while trying to discover the truth, especially during the first run through. And in addition to all of this the art is stunning. I would encourage any fans of visual novels to try this game.

The music and imagery are beautiful. The story is captivating. My son, who is autistic and hates reading generally, asked if he could play the game after I described it to him. This is definitely a keeper and looking forward to the other games the developer has done.

Excellent roman interactif à tous les niveaux : très beaux dessins, très bon accompagnement sonore/musical et histoire originale et bien prenante avec une bonne dose de suspense et de nombreuses fins. La conséquence de tout ça est qu'il n'est pas très long. Mais ainsi la tension ne faiblit pas et il se rejoue facilement.
Le système de choix et l'incarnation de personnage sont originaux et rendent les choix suffisamment obscur pour qu'on ne soit pas sûr de la direction qu'on prend mais qu'on favorise tout de même les personnages qu'on préfère. Très bon système je trouve.

Seers isle в итоге предлагает выбор [spoiler] между собой и другими.[/spoiler] Но из-за стиля повествования, может быть, или еще отчего-то, к персонажам проникнуться сильно не удалось. Ну даа,у всех у них непростые судьбы, которые привели их на чертов остров, но игра избавляется от персонажей так стремительно и беспощадно, как будто они ничего не значат. [spoiler] Ну была деваха, ну и забрали ее. Ну был парень, ну помер. Ну ушла в никуда другая деваха, ну и ушла. Ну и фиг с ними. Дольше всех вас протащат с выбранным персонажем, но и эта симпатия довольно сомнительная, притянутая за уши. [/spoiler] Перед нами старые добрые истины, но в какой-то тусклой оболочке.
Все это, разумеется, ИМХО. В целом игра хорошая
entre les ost et les les images qui sont magnifiques j'ai été bluffée part ce jeux. L'histoire reste mystérieuse tout du long (j'ai pas eu de spoil) et quand tu découvres qui tu joues, tu es fière d'être ce personnage. puis si tu rejoues à l'histoire tu peux découvrir plusieurs autre épisodes que tu n'avais pas pu voir . Bref je conseil ce jeux et aussi les autres jeux de novabox <3

Ce roman graphique, ce récit initiatique, est super. Les choix scénaristiques sont pertinents et permettre de forger les personnalités des protagonistes, futurs chamans passant leur ultime épreuve. Chacun a son histoire, qui peut s'arrêter nette ou continuer selon vos décisions.
Visuellement très agréable. Scénario pas mal. Musique à télécharger très agréable.
At this point I've done three different playthroughs of this game, and the story felt unique each time, with new information coming to light and endings that were pretty different from each other.
The best part of this game was getting to know the characters and finding out their backstories and what motivated them. The story itself was a solid fantasy story, with interesting elements from different European cultures.
The art was beautiful, and the music was fitting for the setting and the story. There was no voice acting, but I personally didn't feel like there had to be.
The only negatives: it's rather short and you can't skip seen text. Given its length it wasn't too much of a hassle though.
All in all I can definitely recommend this, especially for those who love fantasy and/or visual novels.

C'est un visual novel où nos choix ont des conséquences. Les illustrations sont magnifiques ainsi que les musiques d'ambiance (petite preférence pour la berceuse d'Arlyn <3) dans un univers naturel, onirique.
Tout les personnages sont attachants (même ceux auxquels ont ne s'attends pas). Je n'ai pas encore réussi toutes les fins mais celles que j'ai débloquées sont... en fait, ça ne se raconte, ça se vit ^^
Vraiment un très bon jeu, bravo aux développeurs et artistes qui ont bossés dessus !
