it was good but some of the problem solvers where you have to put things together that are collected were glitchy and were frustrating.
The art for this hidden object game is particularly nice, and so is the soundtrack. An enjoyable, spooky Victorian atmosphere.

I wish this game had a sequel. ( spoiler warning ) you never find out what happened to your father would have bothered me so much when the story concluded. And barely felt like that was a plot Point despite that's the whole point in the trailer and the game description. So I thought this was setting up a story for a sequel only to find out that never made any sequels. That was disappointing but I enjoyed the game and would like to see a part two.

The games weren't too tedious, the HOG sections were fine and some were varied, the only minus I could really say was that there were points when the voice acting was definitely not up to par and lacked emotion, and some lines weren't voiced at all! Seemed random.
That aside, it's fine.

Fun concept that connects the player's character to those in the story, without it being a detective whodunit. I appreciated the era we play through, and that there's ghosts involved. Everyone loves a good ghost story! I also liked the twists and turns in the story itself. My only wish is that the game was more difficult. I found the minigames much too easy, and the hidden objects too easy to find as well. Even with the easy games, it is a very pleasant game to play!
Love this game! It's simple, but still very fun to pass the time with.

The game is a standard hidden object game. It is entertaining with an okay story The story has many plot holes and unfinished or unanswered topics but that is common in this type of games. Especially in older ones.
This game would've fit perfectly in a continued series.
I got the game at a discount and would recommend it if discounted as well.

Entretenido, sencillo, no en extremo desafiante, pero no está mal, eso si, es el juego de artifex mundi más sencillo que he visto, pero por lo que vale, está bastante bien.

Très sympa, l'histoire est vraiment chouette à suivre. Je n'ai pas eu l'impression de trop peu en finissant le jeu en moins de 3h, je trouve que la durée du jeu est parfaite au vu de l'histoire.

Little frustrated with this one. This was my fourth Artifex Mundi game and so far my least favourite. Overall though, its a good game, the story is alright and the puzzles are interesting. My biggest issue with it was the lack of hidden object scenes. There are WAY more mini games and other types of puzzles than there are hidden object ones. Plus, a number of the hidden object ones were "find this shape outline" so really fast. Its almost more of a point and click adventure with a need to figure out what you need to find/do to get the scene moving.
I'd wait till its on sale, but it is fun. Just don't expect a lot of hidden object scenes.

I love Artifex Mundi's games but I have to put this a thumb down. It's too short and it doesn't have a bonus chapter. The story is kinda weird and it's not as promising as it is in the trailer. No morphing objects and collectibles either. But it gives you Victorian vibes through the art styles and the music as well. It's just like you are in the Crimson Peak movie. The vision puzzle is extremely annoying, especially for the ones who have nearsightedness like me. The red color just makes it worse. I think you guys should check the other games.
Pros:
- Amazing art-styles.
- The music is spooky, and it fits well with the scenery.
Cons:
- Too short.
- Blurry puzzles.
- No morphing objects and collectibles.

A beautiful looking HOG and point&click games with the usual Artifex Mundi flair to it.
I hope they make others in this series to know what happens the heroine next.

Przyjemna i relaksująca przygodówka z ukrytymi przedmiotami. Trochę łamigłówek, trochę szukania przedmiotów oraz tajemnicza i mroczna historia głównej bohaterki. Ładnie rysowane lokację oraz miła oprawa dźwiękowa dodatkowo dodają uroku. Polecam :).
解密难度简单，基本上屏幕上能点的都点下道具就找齐了，基本上不需要提示。原价买肯定是不值的，打折入了随便消磨下时间还行。
I really like this game. It's not much - 2h of gameplay, easy to follow story without any big plot twists and some interesting minigames. At the same time it's very well done, beautiful-looking game with a good story in interesting setting and fun gameplay. I recommend this game.
Nice HOG. I find the puzzles were really simple in this one; there were no challenges for me. The voice acting was also okay. There was nothing that special about this hog; it was just a good way to kill time. Definitely wait until it goes on sale to buy it. 5.5/10

‘루카스 아츠’와 ‘시에라’라는 걸출한 두 회사가 전성기를 이끌었었는데 어느 하나 망작이 없을 정도로 작품성과 재미가 뛰어났었던 게임들을 만들었었죠.
하지만 시대의 흐름은 액션이 없으며, 관찰과 퍼즐형 요소가 중심인 어드벤처 장르를 소외시키기 시작했고 이제는 명맥만을 유지하는 작품만이 가끔 나오는 시대가 되어버렸습니다.
이 게임은 HOG라는 장르인데 과거의 어드벤처 장르를 좀 더 심플하게 만든 장르라 할 수 있습니다. 어드벤처의 가장 큰 특징이라 할 수 있는 클릭앤포인트 방식을 1인칭 시점으로 가볍게 구현했기 때문입니다.
장르의 특성상 제작이 상대적으로 쉬워서 그런지 이 Artifex Mundi라는 회사는 이 장르의 게임을 마구마구 만들어내고 있습니다. 솔직히 변역기를 돌린 수준의 한글화는 아쉽지만, 전반적으로 간단한 스토리이기 때문에 봐 줄 만하고 항상 기본적인 재미는 충분합니다.
이 장르의 장점은 그냥 가볍게 즐기는 스토리+관찰형 퍼즐겜이라는 것이며 가벼운 장점이 가장 중요했는지 겜이 막히면 그냥 힌트를 누르면 되는 시스템이 기본적으로 포함되어 있습니다.
가볍고 재미있는 퍼즐을 원한다면 추천해 드립니다.
Nice visuals, beautiful locations, story is a little confusing, as it somehow turns out to be NOT so much about Scarlett and her father but about some other people, so we don't really get to do the one thing that was advertised in the end. I liked the idea of using Scarlett psychic abilities to progress or restore some events from the past, although some of the puzzles where you have to restore a memory by turning the pieces got a little too repetitive - would have been nice to have more variety there. Overall puzzles were pretty simple and the game was rather short, but still enjoyable.

This was a fine Hidden Object Puzzle game. It *looks* like one of the older style ones, based on the animation style and illustrations, however, it has many modern HOP game features-- combination items, HOPs that involve interacting with the scene to find items, etc. It also even has the "collectible" tracker in the HUB, which I always love. EDIT: I originally said this was a remaster-- I was thinking of Time Mysteries, please disregard.
The story was OKd, not the best, but if was perfectly serviceable to drive the game along, and it sets itself up for more games in the series, which I think there are. Looking forward to playing it/them. I've always been pretty partial to the creepier aesthetics in these kinds of games.
I did not have any technical issues with this game. It's not hard to get all of the achievements in one playthrough, although I missed a collectible, so I had to play through about 1.5 times, although that's on me.
This game does not have a bonus adventure.
An average hidden object game that is partially animated and fully voice acted.
Graphics are fine, the art style is OK.
Puzzles are relatively easy and do not require much effort. In the case of some hidden object scenes, the object list is a bit confusing (for example, coin instead of chip).
The sound effects and the background music are good, they contribute to the spooky ambience of the game. The quality of the voice acting varies but it is fine overall. Some of the dialogue lines do not match their subtitles. Also, some audio lines seem to be missing.
The story is simple but interesting enough for a horror-mystery HOG. Unfortunately, the game is very short.
All achievements are easy to obtain.
There are no extra levels.

[i]Scarlett Mysteries: Cursed Child[/i] é mais um belo HOG (Hidden Object Game) distribuído pela Artifex Mundi, porém com um gritante diferencial - ele foge ao padrão em vários aspectos e isso faz dele um destaque entre os milhares de jogos do gênero.
Infelizmente, a maioria dos HOGs - principalmente os da Artifex - tem sido dominada pelo padrão cansativo da mesmice: belos visuais, porém com história capenga e péssimas atuações, além dos "puzzles" nada originais e às vezes frustrantes e sem graça. Certo, mas qual seria a diferença com este aqui? Simples, eles mudaram a fórmula em muitos aspectos. Os belíssimos visuais continuam um padrão e isso é ótimo, afinal raramente merecem críticas negativas, porém os puzzles estão bastante divertidos e a busca por objetos se tornou muito mais dinâmica e variada, nos oferecendo interessantes opções de busca.
Em se tratando da história, claro que não podemos esperar o novo best seller mundial, porém temos um empolgante suspense que vai escalando até o seu ótimo ápice. Infelizmente as atuações continuam bem pastelonas, mas querer algo além disso em um HOG é querer demais mesmo.
O que me deixou triste aqui é o fato de - provavelmente - nunca termos uma continuação para esta obra, e diante do final "aberto" é óbvio que era planejada uma série de novos HOGs seguindo a medium Scarlett, e admito que seria muito legal jogar outras criações com esta personagem e suas maravilhosas ambientações (e poderes). O aspecto gótico que vemos aqui remete muito aos contos de Edgar Allan Poe e Ambrose Bierce, e isso é extremamente favorável para uma história que poderia ter sido apenas mais uma entre as várias existentes no infinito mundo de HOGs produzidos anualmente.
Fica aqui a minha dica de jogatina rápida e divertida. E também deixo - claro - um pedido para a criação de possíveis continuações para a jornada de Scarlett. Eu queria demais!
This game would be for the entry level PnC players - Despite getting caught up in the final scene, and missing the last collectable (into the 'maybe replay one day for that final achievement' folder it goes) Puzzles and Collectables were achievable.
Avoiding the Hint button for Achievements, is a bit lol, as I had the Strategy guide available, in the Menu.
The story premise was interesting, tho left me with wondering if more is to come, by the end.
As for bonus chapters, there isnt one, which perhaps makes the experience feel a little undone?
Like usual, the cut scenes are enjoyable to immerse in.
This rating would be a 'yeah hmm meh' for me.
Entry level PnC - Enjoyable casual gaming experience
This game is great, it went over the top trying to create a sense of urgency and I found the actions sequences amusing. The art, of course was well done.
The game was short and fairly simple to breeze through. The gameplay seemed super polished and intuitive. I would recommend this game as a nice short and sweet casual experience.
A surprisingly "complex" story with an excellent soundtrack but a lackluster finale.
Story: 3.5/5
It's actually a little more in-depth than you'd think. It starts off as a quest to find Scarlett's father, then turns into a haunting/possession, then becomes an investigation into a suspicious death. Each segment of the story has a smooth and logical progression into the next, so it's not like anything just suddenly "happens" out of nowhere. It is kind of predictable but there's enough mystery in this twisted little tale to keep you engrossed.
My biggest complaints for the story are: 1) The ending is very abrupt and seems way too "happy" to be realistic. It was like, "That's it? Really? After what we found out?" It feels like the devs ran out of time and had to slap on a rushed ending to get the game done on time and on budget. 2) The disappearance of Scarlett's father makes absolutely no sense. When you find out everything that happened, his vanishing is just a random loose end.
Still, I did enjoy the story and unraveling the mysteries. It just needed a better ending.
Graphics: 4.5/5
Beautifully detailed locations with an appropriately dreary cloudy, rainy day. It looks and feels like a classic horror adventure set in the steampunk era. I also like old homes and antiques, and that whole "Victorian Era" aesthetic.
Character designs are good but their animations are a bit stiff and weird at times. There weren't any jarringly low-quality 3D animation segments, though, which I appreciated.
Music: 5/5
The best part of the game is definitely the soundtrack. It's eerie and unsettling at times, but beautifully haunting at other times. For some reason, it kind of reminded me of Tim Burton's "Sleepy Hollow," but I can't quite explain why. I'm not complaining, though, because I do like that movie.
Hidden Object Puzzles: 4.5/5
The first half of the game doesn't have many and focuses more on problem-solving tasks and other puzzles. We do get quite a few HOGs, though, in the latter half of the game, and all are quite enjoyable. I do wish a few more had been like the first HOG near the beginning of the game where you have to find objects in a room based on children's drawings. At times, the items you needed to find weren't 100% obvious or exact to the drawings, so you had to think outside the box a bit.
Other Puzzles: 3/5
These are a mixed bag. Some are very entertaining, like the one where you have to make sure each row and column on a board has 1 of each tile, as well as the classic "measurements" puzzle where you have to get specific amounts of liquids using only 2 measuring cups. However, others were too easy, even borderline dumb. The bike ride through the foggy forest was such a weak "puzzle," and play notes on the piano in the correct sequence but...you have the sequence right there in front of you on the page.
Voice Acting: 3.5/5
It's all right for the most part but definitely falls flat on numerous occasions.
Overall Rating: 80%
I think it's worth getting, but maybe wait until it's on sale.

Daraufhin machen wir uns auf, zu dem beschriebenen Ort um nach ihm zu suchen
[h1] Gameplay [/h1] Auch hier haben wir wieder das übliche Hidden Object Adventure mit vielen guten Wimmelbildszenen und Rätseln/Minispielen. Natürlich finden wir wie üblich auch wieder allerhand Gegenstände die uns weiter helfen. Das besondere an diesem Spiel ist, das man an manchen Orten Visionen hat bzw. auslösen kann/muss um dadurch die Vergangenheit zu sehen, hier muss man dann immer ein kleines Bilder Rätsel lösen, die Spaß gemacht haben. ich finde es immer gut wenn Wimmelbild Adventures so ein zusätzliches Feature haben so wie dieses. Ich fand dieses Spiel aber im Vergleich zu anderen Artifex Mundi Adventures etwas sehr einfach, was nichts schlechtes heißen soll. Die Wimmelbildrätsel und auch die Rätsel/Minispiele haben mir hier sehr gut gefallen und auch das Viktorianische Steampunk Setting war Erfrischend. Voice Acting ist Genre üblich OK und die Musik ist ordentlich

[h1] Fazit [/h1] Auch hier wieder ein hervorragendes Wimmelbild Spiel aus dem Hause Artifex Mundi. Es ist im Vergleich zu anderen Hidden Object Adventuren von Artifex sehr einfach aber das heißt ja nichts schlechtes. Auch dieses Spiel hat mir wieder sehr viel Spaß gemacht und ich kann es jedem Hidden Object Fan sehr Empfehlen

A fun hidden objects game!
Fun but short . The graphics are good en so is the soundtrack. It's atmospheric , has a fairly good story but the puzzles are very , very simple !
很喜欢这种类型的游戏，维多利亚风格很戳我，音乐更是心头好，虽然谜题简单，但是拜个人喜好的画风所赐，莫名的就很有耐心玩完，不像别的无论多简单都只想跳过（）所以说为什么这款没有续作啊！等着找爹呢。
The drama in these games.. it's like an episode of Passions. Fun if you like HOG's :D

Short, but enjoyed this one too.
Don't think I have much to criticize on this one... the story is pretty interesting, the hidden object parts are not too overly complex, the puzzles are not too tricky. The graphics are great, my guess is this is from the newest crop of Artifex Mundi games, no inconsistencies, good resolution. Major hook left along with a good excuse for a whole series to begin from this point on.
Hopefully will be seeing more of it!
Fun mystery/hidden object game with a flair of spookiness without being scary. I enjoyed it. This game was on the shorter side, even while playing at a relaxed pace. The concept is good and it would be nice to see this become a series. Although, I do wish it had a bonus chapter like many of the other puzzle/hidden object games.
A short mystery/puzzle game. Puzzles were simple, but the game itself had a lot of story. I'm happy with it, especially for the price.
This was definitely the shortest Artifax Mundi game I've played so far. It definitely feels like another step down from Grim Legends but the visuals were still really nice. I'm interested if they still intend to make this a series since it's been a handful of years since it released. I would say this one you should only get on sale.
This was a fun game and the story was interesting, I play another game by this publisher, so while the game has similar mechanics, there are some here that are different from the other game, which was nice.
One downside is that I felt this game was a bit short to be 9.99 (but I got this on a discount, so it didn't really upset me). Also the puzzles were really easy in my opinion. I'm not sure if this is the norm, I only play one other game from this publisher and it was longer and the puzzles were harder.
Overall it's a fun game, would advise to get it when it's on sell
I really like this storyline but not the ending, the puzzle isn't so hard but it's a repeat puzzle I mostly just skip some of it. Just don't kick yourself in the balls if you can't figure it out skip it.

Impressive. Other reviews, while still positive, are more restrained, but for me this game is simply great. At first, I should mention it's visuals. They are just stunning. Together with grim music they create some really fantastic synergy. I can even state that SM: Cursed Child has those charming vibes of Grim Legends series.
Story? - both tragic and thrilling. Cool and resolute protagonist with psychic abilities, which allow us to become a time traveler and visit familiar locations as other characters. Overall quality of mini games and hidden object scenes is also on a high level. And there are also hidden collectibles to find.
For me SM: Cursed Child has only one grave con - it's irredeemably short. And there is no bonus chapter as well. The story does not end abruptly - absolutely not. Ending is more than satisfying. But you still want this story to go on. In the end - I hope that we will get more games in the setting of Scarlet Mysteries.
I'll give this 3 out of 5 stars. Not exactly my style, given the puzzles probably for a younger audience than myself. Far fewer hidden object challenges and more room-to-room search for items (some obvious some just... hu?). Overly dramatic storyline, but that's usual for this genre. Still, professionally done with appropriately spooky background music.
这一系列的解谜游戏最早接触的是乌鸦森林之谜，也算是我众多青春期回忆之一了。共同特点就是叙事极其优秀，在各种各样的谜题中抽丝剥茧寻找真相，沉浸感极强，尤其是这一部，真的仿佛自己在一个老旧的庄园里探查埋藏多年的秘密。
BUT.............我要开始吐槽了！！！
①准男爵（爱丽斯她爸）是坑死人没商量啊，先是自己理财失败，想偷偷抵押老婆的家产，老婆发现了不同意，他就把老婆害死，还伪造现场，然后把闺女锁起来十几年，等秘密被人揭穿了他就把房子祖产全烧光后自杀了，还美其名曰“这样闺女就安全了”。What？？？？大哥你把老婆的祖产都烧了啊，一分钱没给闺女留啊，闺女被锁了十几年，也没什么社会阅历和谋生手段，你让她以后怎么活？？？我哪也没看出来闺女能安全啊！！！这什么爹啊！！！所以说嫁人绝对不能嫁贫穷的科学家，这种人想一出是一出，你根本不知道他能整出多少幺蛾子来。
②制作组有钱把斯嘉丽和爱丽斯做的这么漂亮，衣服也这么精致，没钱给她们的手美白一下吗？每次看到斯嘉丽伸出的粗糙的小黑手抓着证物，我就闹心。爱丽斯他妈这样一个富N代，穿戴那么贵重，然后手也是又黑又粗，咋的贵族们是傻到不知道涂护手霜还是整天把手伸出窗户外头风吹日晒啊。
③过桥那段斯嘉丽说要找个东西拿着保持平衡，然后把拐棍给她就好了，但是我想说，如果是我的话，大概率会爬过去。。。穿那么长的裙子配个小高跟鞋，万一一脚踩裙子上不就掉下来了吗？她还是很有偶像包袱的。

Velice dobrá hledačka. Atmosféru drží lehce hororová/dramatická hudba, dobře vyprávěný příběh i krásně zpracované lokace. Příběh mi lehce připomíná dílo E.A.Poea, což je jednoznačně plus.
Hra se mi líbila, hádanky nejsou nikterak těžké, až na pár výjimek, které jsem přeskočila. Jen co mě trochu mrzí, je, že na konci se avizuje, že bude Scarlet hledat dál svého otce, ale žádné pokračování v podobě bonusové kapitoly nebo další hry se nekoná.
