Gráficos lindos até hoje, apesar da gameplay ser boa, ela pode comecar a ficar um pouco massante conforme avançamos para o final. Porémmm, ainda meu voto é positivo, por algum motivo o jogo cativa, acredito que a construção ao todo dele é espetacular, a ambientação e os leveis designers te predem. Sei que o jogo não é só gráficos, mas não foge muito do que se espera de um jogo dessa temática. Pelo preço geralmente ofertado nas promoções vale ouro.

Você entra na pele de um soldado romano que basicamente resolve tudo na base da espada e da vingança. O combate é simples, direto e muito satisfatório — principalmente na hora das finalizações, que são exageradas num nível quase “filme épico passando na Sessão da Tarde versão proibida”.
O jogo é curto, mas entrega uma experiência bem cinematográfica. Parece que você tá participando de um filme sobre o Império Romano, cheio de batalhas, traições e discursos intensos.
Agora, sendo bem honesto… depois de um tempo, o combate começa a ficar repetitivo. Mas até lá, você já se divertiu o suficiente esmagando bárbaros e gritando mentalmente “POR ROMA”.
No fim, Ryse é aquele jogo direto ao ponto: bonito, brutal e sem enrolação.
Perfeito pra quando você só quer desligar o cérebro e sair conquistando tudo na base da espada.
Ryse: Son of Rome is a gorgeous game that forgot to bring much else to the party. It still looks incredible, like Crytek wanted to personally challenge your GPU to a duel. Unfortunately, the combat boils down to flashy QTEs and the same few moves repeated until your thumbs go numb. The story tries very hard to be epic and dramatic, but mostly lands somewhere between predictable and forgettable. It’s fun for a few hours, then you realize you’ve seen everything it has to offer. Lanzado originalmente para demostrar de qué era capaz el hardware de nueva generación en 2013, llegó a PC para derretir tarjetas gráficas con la magia del CryEngine. Controlas a Marius Titus, un centurión en una historia de venganza clásica que mezcla drama bélico, decapitaciones en cámara lenta y momentos de "¡Por Roma!" que te hacen querer salir a conquistar tu propio patio trasero.
La propuesta es simple: corta, esquiva, ejecuta, repite. El gancho está en el espectáculo visual. Si vienes buscando un sistema de combate profundo tipo Souls o combos kilométricos, te vas a dar de cara contra un muro de escudos. Aquí la "jugabilidad" consiste en machacar dos botones en el momento justo y disfrutar de animaciones de ejecución tan brutales que te harán sentir como un gladiador con serios problemas de manejo de la ira.

Ryse: Son of Rome es ese tipo de aventura de acción que te mira a los ojos y te dice: "Sí, soy repetitivo, y sí, mi historia la has visto mil veces... pero mírame qué guapo soy mientras le clavo el gladius a este bárbaro". No es para quienes buscan un combate estratégico, y no intenta serlo: es un benchmark glorificado con identidad propia y un cóctel de testosterona que resulta glorioso si apagas un rato el cerebro y disfrutas de la masacre.
Lo controversial no es su brutalidad excesiva, sino lo mucho que Crytek sacrificó en profundidad jugable para poder empujar los límites gráficos de su época. Aun así, con decenas de miles de reseñas positivas en Steam, está claro que el espectáculo visual puro tiene su público... aunque hoy los servidores multijugador parezcan ruinas romanas abandonadas.

Overall short linear game, a console port, they didint even put effort to make game for PC. Game is preety easy, Multiplayer is compltley dead and let be honest multiplayer was the main part of game not a Single Player Campain so i cannot recomend game which is multiplayer dead.

По началу игра шля тяжело, забрасывал несколько раз, а потом сюжет как по мне нормально расходится и уже становиться интересно, я брал на распродаже за относительно небольшие деньги и под эти критерии игра подошла, проходиться быстро очень. Единственный минус - не понятно сначала как проходить последнюю сцену, где вы идете по коридору и отбиваетесь от солдат. Тут я только после попытки 15 понял, что делать

It's hard for me to give this game a negative review, it’s from 2013 and very impressive considering its age but in my opinion the storytelling and pacing simply don't hold up, even when compared to its contemporaries.
First, the good:
I really like the combat. Generally, the camera does a good job framing the action on screen, and it doesn’t often feel like you get hit unfairly. The projectile throwing system’s aim assist is a little too aggressive, making it difficult to move your cursor off the currently targeted enemy but besides that, the game’s combat is very well polished and genuinely fun. Performing executions is a huge mechanic, being the fastest and safest way to deal with most foes. The system to change what kind of reward you get from killing enemies this way is phenomenal. It effectively rewards the player for quick decision making and planning. I haven’t seen a system like this before, so it was a refreshing change and made me feel rewarded for thinking through an encounter regardless of if I played perfectly not getting hit, or if I switched to “health on kill” to save myself from an onslaught of 8 enemies all attacking at once. It can be a little repetitive, but the game does its best to switch things up having you fight some ranged enemies and close-range enemies. There are scripted events where you command formations which really help to sell the idea of you playing a roman commander leading a platoon into battle.
The graphics still hold up very well considering the age, and on my computer, it performed well after some adjustments.
The setting is a decent fictionalized alternate history with some fantasy embellishments. The basics of how society worked in the roman era are all there, they captured how the war veterans tended to have personal fortunes, and also how roman soldiers had to purchase their own armor and weapons through variations different soldiers have. I found these nice touches that showed the artist who worked on this did their research on the Romans at least to some degree.
and now, for the bad:
The game has not aged well with newer hardware. I ran into framerate issues which required me to edit game files and add a custom configuration in the Nvidia Control panel in order to get acceptable framerates. I also had to manually set the priority of the game to High in TaskManager, roughly doubling my performance. Before making these changes, it was a stuttery, unplayable mess alternating between 30, 60, and very rarely, 120 FPS. After applying these changes, I got a smooth 240 FPS on the highest settings. Unfortunately, this has introduced a side effect of some gameplay elements and animations running too quickly so I recommend playing with the FPS locked at 60 FPS max for stability.
If the gold standard in gaming is "Show don't tell", this game is "Tell, don't show". There are constant dialogue boxes telling you exactly what to do and where to go. It could be so easily handled just by having another soldier suggest the objective or have the mission title imply what’s being accomplished. It’s a little too much handholding for my tastes. The first time you use any ability the game pauses itself to show you a button prompt. It's strange they chose to do this because there is a sort of tutorial in the next chapter which could have easily shown you the buttons to press in a much more minimal way, while building a connection with the character. The world is littered with obnoxiously colored glowing props which are interactable, regardless of if the prop is needed to progress. Some of the props needed to progress are only interactable from a specific distance and direction so get ready for running into props, mashing a button until it triggers an interaction instead of attacking the air. In some areas you are able to climb but there is no real indication where you can and cannot go. In one of the earlier sections I was told by an NPC to "Go back where you came from, and lower the bridge!" and so spent about a minute running into a wall trying to climb up it, I checked controls to see if I was missing a key bind or something but no, turns out I needed to NOT go where I came from, and instead to a completely different section which had the same blue cloth decorations as the unclimbable probs, but was twice as high. To me it seems like they ran into this problem in playtesting, and instead of fixing the dialogue or reworking the level to fit it, they just made the original platform unreachable. Bad! They also reused the same blue cloth in inaccessible areas as decoration while in some parts of the level it’s clearly there to indicate that a section is climbable. This blue cloth sometimes equals climbable mechanic is also immediately dropped in the next stage.
Characters are introduced and killed off so quickly it’s impossible to form any meaningful relation to them. You don't even see what your sister looks like or hear any dialogue from here before she's killed off screen. The dialogue occasionally lags behind the current progress resulting in characters giving incorrect information, or dialogue overlapping itself. This was particularly frustrating in the fight with your father where I would do almost exactly the correct thing, but because I hit a combo after it, it wouldn't count making it difficult to tell when I actually did what the game wanted me to do.
The transitions from level to level are also very abrupt. The game rips control from you constantly with no real indication of when the action is going to start and stop. It’s understandable considering the type of game this is, but there are quite a few short, 5 second in-engine cutscenes which could easily just be a line of dialogue or two exchanged between characters during a battle, similar to how Edward in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag (released one month prior, in 2013) will talk to his crew during downtime between some story missions while you sail to the next objective.
It’s clear a lot of people love this game; else it wouldn’t have the 85% positive rating it has. If it weren’t for the performance issues and poor early game user experience I would recommend giving it a go. It’s far from perfect but still holds up decently well all things considered.

É um daqueles jogos que entregam exatamente o que prometem: uma experiência cinematográfica brutal, visualmente impressionante e cheia de ação no Império Romano. A história segue Marius Titus, um jovem soldado que perde tudo e busca vingança contra os bárbaros que destruíram sua família. O enredo é direto, cheio de traições, batalhas épicas e momentos dramáticos que parecem saídos de um filme de gladiadores, e isso funciona muito bem pra quem curte narrativas intensas sem muita enrolação.
O combate é o grande destaque. Você corta inimigos com a espada, executa finalizações brutais com QTEs satisfatórios, usa o escudo pra bloquear e contra-atacar, e o feeling de cada golpe é pesado e impactante. As execuções são gore na medida certa, com sangue voando e gritos realistas, e o jogo te recompensa por variar os combos. As batalhas em grande escala, com centenas de soldados na tela, são um espetáculo, e comandar suas tropas com gritos em latim dá um ar de general romano que é bem imersivo.
Os gráficos ainda seguram a barra lindamente em 2026, especialmente no PC com resolução alta e texturas melhoradas. Roma antiga ganha vida com detalhes incríveis nos cenários, armaduras reluzentes, multidões em coliseu e efeitos de luz e partículas que impressionam. A trilha sonora orquestral épica casa perfeitamente com as cenas de guerra, e os dubladores (em inglês) entregam atuações cheias de emoção, o que ajuda a conectar com a jornada de Marius.
No geral, Ryse é curto, mas muito bem feito. Não tem mundo aberto nem replay infinito, mas a campanha linear entrega uma aventura coesa, bonita e visceral que dura o suficiente pra não cansar. Pra quem gosta de hack and slash cinematográfico, gladiadores e Roma antiga, é uma pedida ótima, principalmente em promoção.
Nota 8.5/10, perde um pouquinho pela falta de variedade em missões, e por não ter uma tradução em PT/BR oficial, e o multiplayer que envelheceu mal, mas a experiência single-player ainda vale muito a pena. Vai fundo se quiser sentir o peso de uma espada romana na mão!

It runs smoothly on steam deck (locked at 30fps, but it really looks cinematic to me). Never tried it on PC yet, but i think it'll runs pretty good. But the graphics is top notch, despite being an over a decade old game.

Loved this game. Have it on PC and Xbox/. Yes it is short but I found it very enjoyable. I remember 10+ years back thinking how much I loved the characters and voice over in this game. Made me feel like a Roman solider with brothers in arms at myside. A great feeling of honor runs through this game, feels like you are fighting for something with respected leaders. Man, I wish games these days would convey a bit of what was in this game.

This is more of a graphics demo which holds up to this day. Gameplay is very basic and linear but still a big step above an average story game.
But the ending was so bad, so unbelievably stupid that it pushed me over the edge of not recommending the game. If you ignore that, it's mediocre at best.

People in the reviews keep saying that this game is short yet rate it positive. I wish this game was half as long! A test of endurance because of how boring it was! The combat is incredibly repetitive, with no challenge. The "epic" finishers are impressive 2-3 times until you have seen every finisher 100s of times. There is also no punishment for failing the QTE in the finishers (not that you ever will), so they feel pointless.
There are 4 enemy types excluding bosses, but you will mainly fight 2 of them. They also have like 4 enemy models in total (hyperbole). The fat heavy dudes have one model, so you will be fighting like 3-4 off the exact same looking fate dude with a beard. I know that that is somewhat common, but for some reason it is incredibly noticeable here.
The set pieces and cutscenes are impressive, but fall incredibly flat when the camera moves back to being over your shoulder, and you fight the same 2-3 enemies in a group of 5 again. You have no interesting moves or abilities to break up the action aside from slow mo rage (it is soo lame in this game and I hardly used it). So the game boils down to block, roll, slash, with no deviations.
Do not waste the 6 hours it takes to play this, you will have the same experience watching a playthrough, and at least that way you can second screen it/fall asleep.

Поговаривают, что у crytek нет плохих игр и пока я твёрдо в этом убеждаюсь. Если коротко, то это отличный боевик, слэшер с элементами qte (вовремя прожать нужные кнопки в бою) и мощным сюжетом. Жестокая история про римского солдата, которым движет жажда крови и возмездия. Сюжет прост, но от этого он не становится скучным, даже наоборот. Давно не видел в играх такой сильной, живой истории, прям проникся. Римский сеттинг это любовь, тут он прям хорошо воссоздан, отличное погружение в масштабные бои с варварами, а кинематографичные катсцены прям жёстко дополняют общую картину и держат всё в одном ритме. Визуал и общая атмосфера дадут в рот очень многим современным играм. Проходится на одном дыхании, только некоторые боссы прям знатно потрепали нервы, аж зубы скрипели.
[b]По технической части[/b] пишу для людей, у которых падает фпс до 30 даже на мощном пк (у меня тоже было): мне помогло в панели управления nvidia поковырять эти пункты:

Hra je velice pěkná na to jak je stará. Musím říct že mě docela chytla.
Bojový systém není těžký na naučení.
Sem tam nějaká vedlejší věc jako formace atd. jakmile se do toho asi dostanete tak to je dobrý.
Hru ještě nemám dohranou úplně ale myslím že si ji dám hned znovu. Kampaň nevypadá dlouhá což je asi škoda.
Za 10 éček fakt dobrý. Za 3,5 ještě lepší!
Para os fãs da temática, ter em mente que Ryse não é nem um pouco histórico, mas sim uma fanfic misturando nomes e acontecimentos fora de época para criar uma obra épica, ainda que cheia de furos.
É repetitivo, raso e com inimigos bem desinteressantes. Ainda assim, consegue divertir ao transmitir uma boa sensação de combate, de "poder romano", com diversos momentos que marcam. O gráfico é lindo, mas nada além da 8ª geração. Uma pena que no fim, o jogo seja só "ok".
Ele tem multiplayer, mas minha dupla preferiu não jogar comigo, o que me impede de comentar sobre.

🏛️ O Espetáculo Visual (Que não envelhece)
Mesmo anos após o lançamento, Ryse ainda humilha muito jogo atual. A CryEngine entregou aqui um nível de detalhe em armaduras, expressões faciais e iluminação que é absurdo.
A imersão: Ver o suor e o sangue acumulando na pele de Marius Titus enquanto o sol de Roma bate na placa do peito é o que te mantém jogando quando o combate cansa.
Direção de Arte: Das florestas sombrias da Britânia ao brilho dourado do Coliseu, o jogo é um colírio tático.
⚔️ Combate: Ritmo, Sangue e QTEs
Muitos criticam Ryse por ser "um grande Quick Time Event (QTE)", mas quem platinou sabe que o buraco é mais embaixo, especialmente nas dificuldades mais altas.
O Fluxo: O combate funciona quase como um jogo de ritmo. Você não aperta botões aleatoriamente; você gerencia a multidão, defende no tempo certo e escolhe o bônus de execução (vida, dano, foco ou XP) de acordo com a necessidade do momento.
As Execuções: São o coração do jogo. Brutais, variadas e satisfatórias. Chegar ao 100% exige que você domine todas elas para maximizar seus pontos.
📜 A Jornada de Marius Titus
A história é um épico de vingança clássico. Não espere precisão histórica — Ryse está mais para Gladiador de Ridley Scott do que para um livro didático.
Personagens: Marius é um protagonista sólido, e a queda de Roma sob o comando de Nero (retratado de forma deliciosamente bizarra) dá um tom de urgência constante.
Ritmo: A campanha é curta e direta ao ponto. Para quem busca a platina, isso é uma benção, pois as repetidas jogadas no modo Lendário não se tornam maçantes.
🏟️ O Verdadeiro Desafio: Modo Gladiador
Se a campanha é o prato principal, o Multiplayer (ou Solo Arena) é onde os aspirantes a platina realmente provam seu valor.
Dinamismo: As arenas que mudam de forma em tempo real são geniais. Uma hora você está em uma floresta, no minuto seguinte o chão sobe e você está cercado por armadilhas de fogo.
O Grind: Chegar ao nível necessário para os últimos troféus exige paciência. É aqui que você testa builds de equipamentos e divindades (Júpiter, Marte, Apolo ou Diana) para ver qual se adapta melhor ao seu estilo de sobrevivência.
Veredito de Platina: Ryse: Son of Rome é uma experiência de "faca nos dentes". É curto, visualmente impecável e extremamente focado. Se você gosta da estética romana e de um combate que prioriza o impacto e a finalização, é um título obrigatório na coleção.

performance not playable
Picked this up for the gladiator mode, but the regular campaign made for a fun weekend and it was a bargain in the sale. Good story and acting with nice scenery. The graphics have held up well, looks really good and it plays smoothly. Sometimes viewing angles make combat tricky but overall it's a pretty entertaining, if somewhat short, swords n shields combat game.

as a history buff the game is a really fun take on roman fantasy/fiction. the gameplay is fun and the story is really cool.
Good, quit, "simple" game. took me ~6 hrs to beat the story. There isn't really much else to it, other than re running the story for collectibles, or do the multiplayer (but it's over 10 years old, so it's not active). Grab it on sale for a short, but good hack and slash.

Ну типа звучит норм, лютая qte в стиле Рима, но фпс дропает просто ужас. Мало того, что игра в 60 фпс, так еще и дропает постоянно до 32, если в кадре больше 2-х врагов

this game hits different ong. you're Marius Titus, son of a general, out for revenge after barbarians clap your fam – cinematic storytelling goes crazy, voice acting slaps, graphics still hold up in 2026 (that blood, those armor details, Rome looking majestic af). combat? pure sigma hack-n-slash glory – execute moves pop off, slow-mo finishers with the gladius or pilum feel brutal and satisfying, crowd cheers when you style on enemies in the Colosseum. it's like if God of War had a baby with ancient Rome but kept the quick-time events and spectacle.
sure it's linear, not open-world, and some peeps call it "button masher" but when you're roleplaying as a true legionary Chad charging into battle yelling "ROMA VICTRIX" in your head? peak dopamine. no other game captures that Roman military fantasy this clean – Total War Rome is strategy spreadsheets, this is pure action cinema.
overall: 9/10 aura for Rome obsessives, rare gem status locked in. if you're deep in the legion life, don't sleep on this one – play it, feel the glory, then cry over the ending like a true patrician. every medieval Rome fan needs this in their backlog, no exceptions.

O jogo é mediano em TUDO que não sejam os gráficos, o combate até que é legal no inicio, mas se torna repetitivo muito rápido, praticamente não tem variedade de inimigos, e é EXTREMAMENTE linear, a gameplay não diversifica em nada e até o parkur é automático, sinceramente o jogo é tudo o que a critica diz ser.
Dito isso o jogo até que é divertido se vc jogar em pequenas seções, quando fui ver já tinha zerado

A pesar de que es antiguo lo jugué porque me llama la atención la historia romana y los juegos ambientados en esa época, este juego es muy bueno ha envejecido bien, además a día de hoy tiene gráficos increíbles, el sistema de combate con las ejecuciones es de película, no es tan largo el juego, pero lo recomiendo.

Отвечу тем, кто называет эту игру «великолепной» и считает её лучше современных проектов. Это не так. Перед нами типичный корпоративный продукт: яркая обертка, за которой ничего нет. Графика для 2013 года действительно впечатляющая, но это не единственная красивая игра того времени. Если вам нужен качественный олдскул с отличным визуалом — лучше поиграйте в Tomb Raider.
Теперь о плохом, и его здесь много. Буквально всё остальное.
Левл-дизайн и навигация
Вы будете постоянно теряться. Путь вперед часто неочевиден и сливается с окружением. Подсказки на экране сформулированы туманно, из-за чего не всегда понятно, чего именно хочет от тебя игра. Копья и интерактивные объекты визуально не выделяются, превращая прохождение в гадание на кофейной гуще.
Сломанные триггеры
Классическая ситуация: подходишь к предмету, появляется надпись «Нажмите E», но ничего не происходит. Оказывается, ты стоишь на миллиметр ближе или дальше, чем задумали разработчики. Приходится буквально «вытанцовывать» вокруг объекта и ловить точку активации, чтобы скрипт наконец сработал.
Неотзывчивое управление
Боевая система страдает от избыточных анимаций. Если вы начали атаку, а потом решили сделать перекат — забудьте. Персонаж не сдвинется с места, пока не доиграет текущую анимацию до конца. В игру вшито много бесполезных «красивых» движений (кручение меча, удары в щит), которые активируются случайно. Пока герой красуется, вы полностью уязвимы: нельзя ни ударить, ни уклониться. Это особенно бесит, когда пытаешься нащупать триггер взаимодействия (см. пункт выше), а вместо этого персонаж бесконечно вращает меч.
Боевая система и боссы
В начале кажется, что боевка проработана, но к финалу она окончательно ломается. В битве в Колизее правила игры меняются без предупреждения. Если раньше красный свет означал, что нужно делать перекат, то теперь он может означать и то, что удар можно отбить. Угадывайте сами!
Боссы — это просто «губки для урона». Ты 15 минут ковыряешь врага по одной схеме (пара перекатов — слабый удар), затем смотришь катсцену, после которой ему восстанавливают всё здоровье, и повторяешь этот цикл заново. К концу игра и вовсе превращается в QTE, где от тебя требуют жать определенные кнопки, даже не показывая их на экране.
Сюжет
Примитивен до невозможности. Сравнивать это с «Гладиатором» — значит делать игре незаслуженный комплимент. Диалоги картонные, а в развитие персонажа просто не веришь. Сценарий здесь написан так же халтурно, как и геймплей.
Итог
Игра создавалась исключительно как демонстрация графических возможностей приставки. Над картинкой поработали на славу, а вот саму игру сделать забыли. Красиво, но абсолютно пусто.
