Rumble is by far the most complex game I have ever played, and I wouldnt trade it for anything. The sheer depth of each skill you can learn is insane to the point where I've played for 300 hours and still just barely feel like im scratching the surface. Rumble is brutally difficult and unforgiving, but that doesn't mean the community isn't the people here are great, ask them and they will teach you anything they know. Buckethead has created an amazing community surrounding an amazing game and you will find me continuing to play this game for a very long time. My advice to new players, find something that is fun to learn, it can be very overwhelming at the start and focusing on something feasible makes it possible.
That said I did hear that the pillar is by far the worst structure in vr earthbending.........
The game itself is good. I would not support the devs given how they let the community become, even in their own server.

This game is a really good workout, but it's not for everyone.
When you start, you'll have four moves: Straight, disc, pillar and sprint. It'll feel like a very thin move pool, but you'll already have your hands full trying to master them. This game is about position and rotation. It's *very* lenient, but only once you've learned the proper poses, you can't half-ass your way into chucking a disc against an opponent, you'll be learning a martial art.
**Rotation and position are very important, if either is off you will not pull off the move you intend to make**
By the time you beat howard (The tutorial bot), don't be surprised if you're on session two and worn out already.
Black belts more often than not will be happy to teach you how to use your tools better, so don't be afraid to look for games with anyone regardless of rank, you'll find more players that way, and you'll be able to unlock the second belt after either 5 losses or 2 wins.

I haven't even unlocked flick yet and this is already one of the most fun games I have ever played. I would recommend having a friend though, it's nice having competition that is the same level as you. It's pretty difficult at the beginning though so don't expect anything to work more than once, thanks HOWARD. Oh also, don't play with shoes on. I hear it's illegal in some places.

honestly the difficulty and 'training' needed to be able to pull of moves consistently just adds to the immersion. its like ur actually being rewarded for punching air for an hour straight.

It was incredibly difficult to find people to play with before the 0.5 update, but now that they've included the meta players, I'm finding games left and right. I'm still learning how to be a better bender, but every match has been fun and I've only continue to get better as I go.
Can't wait for the official 1.0 release! Keep up the great work team!

When I tried out this game before the cosmetic update and several QOL updates released afterwards, I was thinking about leaving a negative review, but now that the developers have updated the game, I love it so much lol
The annoying, difficult-to-understand controls are much easier to understand and execute now that the devs have added a better tutorial for them, and since Rumble was added to standalone VRs, I have found matches in literally under a second.
Most of the negative reviews are now outdated and are on a completely different game

Due to some Youtube Videos i quickly got the hang of the first few moves and was easily able to get absolutly DESTROYED in my first pvp matches... 10/10 would recommend <3

I kinda hate this game, the abilities are incredibly inconsistent, and the cable ALWAYS gets in the way (which could be fixed but nah) is there any way that the abilities could be more consistent?

Rock and Stone? Nah, just ROCK. Have you ever wanted to hit your friends with giant blocks of pure ROCK? Well this is the game for you! Just remember to strike the correct pose.
Overall, 10/10. Earth-bending is great. Very fun until your opponent jumps over your wall while wielding two large ROCKS and crushes every bone in your skull.
This is easily one of the best vr games EVER. though the moves are tricky to learn its a very rewarding experience knowing you mastered a new combo! BEWARE this game is exhausting so be prepared to sweat!

É um jogo extremamente legal e divertido, a mecânica é sem igual e imperdoável, porém simplesmente injogável para um player casual, ou você é do tipo que busca a excelência em tudo que joga e domina completamente as poucas técnicas de iniciante para conseguir ter algum chance contra os poucos players presente que já são muito viciados e experientes ou já era (Há alguns que irão te ensinar e pegar leve, mas quando não o fazem você simplesmente não consegue jogar). Eu entendo que o objetivo dos Devs é um jogo de x1 bolado, mas se eu puder fazer uma sugestão, por favor adicionem um PVE ao jogo, seja dungeon, bots, rogue like ou qualquer outra forma, por tanto que tenha como subir sua faixa para liberar mais técnicas e se tiver Coop seria ainda melhor.

(explanation: half your games have zero lag and half have lag- I don't think this is a problem and honestly learning to play with the lag is an interesting challenge. Just remember your opponent has to deal with the lag when you don't- so use that time to play fancy and use the client round to play desperate. It sucks at first, but winning a client round feels really good. (Also, what? would you prefer to always have lag? Quite a straining game on the old internet))
TLDR; rumble is a very hard game, but it is one of the only vr games that has left me consistently coming back for more. Through patience and practice, you can achieve mastery of the rocks. Also? It's genuinely a good upper body workout lol.

this game has the best earthbending mechanics aot, the immersion is spectacular, and the fact you have to ACTUALLY do the earthbending movements is amazing to me. To anyone looking to buy this game and is an atla fan, i would highly recommend
i with there was a neutral option. fun and cool, but the only people playing it are people who are already good so its hard to get good as a new player. and everything is too precise for my dyspraxic ahh.
This game means so much to me, I love the feeling of a living fighting game and I can say with confidence this is the best it gets. The game is always being updated, and it is so well optimized that I can run it just about flawlessly wireless on the quest 2 (I do have really good internet which probably helps). I love that one day I get beat by somebody and we say gg's and go rumble and then run into them the next day and I beat them. You know when you make progress in Rumble, thank you devs, and thank you shoeless for putting me on.
Peak rock tossing experience, not a big community though. I don’t think I’ve ever played a VR game, let alone a PC/Console game without a toxic player EXCEPT for Rumble.
(Edit: I legitimately think the new art style is kind of awful but the gameplay and community are still the same)
I can’t even count how many people have stopped to help me nail down a certain pose or combo because of the sheer number of people who’ve done that exact thing.
I know about all of the goofballs saying that there aren’t many players on at one time, but there are discord servers like Shoeless Dojo that have people who want to fight you and help you improve.
If you can suck it up and use the discord servers for matching making, then improving your belt for progression isn’t as bad as people say.
The combat is really well made and learning and mastering a move is so addictive, it’s like the game itself beckons you to try new moves.

The only thing that’s left for this game (in my ‘unbiased’ opinion) is the Quest release.
I do fear that this game will be flooded by standalone players who have no respect for the community, but I do believe that it will be a net positive for the game. (And its player counts lmao)
Greatest VR game I have played. Big problem, not many people play this game (or at least I am just playing to late into the day). So far I have gotten one friend to buy the game with me, it is a blast. The skill ceiling is yet to be discovered with all of the moves that can be in a combo. The community is great. The 5 times I played a public match, the people were way better then me, but they didn't just do some crazy combo, they taught me how to use the abilities I have to the max. A must play VR game if you are into crazy PvP. (make sure to get a few friends to play this game as there is little players alone.)
Edit: IT CAME TO QUEST! (praying it helps with the low player count)

Hi, I'm an australian player. Rumble is one of the greatest games on the market IF you can get over the MASSIVE skill curve that exists here. As I believe it there are two facts to rumble that will always be true.
1. You will not be able to learn to play the game properly without help from others.
2. You WILL meet people who WILL teach you how to play.
No matter what style you want to persue, fancy Flick plays, awesome Hold traps, volatile, water bending, a competative pace style or ANYTHING else you want!!!
RUMBLE is great for exercise, meeting new people, spending time and feeling yourself get better at the game in real time and I cannot recommend it more. With the upcoming release on standalone quest we will have an influx of players so the minor issue of a smaller than average player count will go from an inconvenience to a non-issue!
SIck game for VR i do wish my friend with the quest could play this other wise i have no friend to play with D: some randoms are just way to try hard

At first i thought the poses were inconsistant, or the calibration for my body shape was slightly off-- actually i do think my body shape is slightly off stilll-- but as i kept doing repetitions of the basics i started to get it more and more, then i learned it was less about the poses being finicky and all about skill issue.
Its really hard, but once you get a pose down, it becomes even harder to remember what you remembered about getting the pose down, but once you remember THAT.. its still hard because you dont remember to apply it in an actual match (lol) BUT eventually it gets a bit easier by muscle memory to remember how to do things and how to reset after doing things. But man its hard.

The 2 matches i played against a 2084gc and a 13169gc, both of them saw me struggling to erect pillars and shoot discs, both of them stopped the match multiple times to help me learn things about the game, or how to position my hands, or that you can f***ing sprint in any direction without even needing to face that way. Go figure.
The kindhearted community that dont take matchmaking seriously is what makes this great game greater. In a game all about getting better and dominating opponents, having good vibes the whole way through is unheard of.

Earthbending: The Game would be so much fun if striking the required poses with 99.9% accuracy didn't result in nothing happening. Can't even beat the training bot.

WARNING: Playing this game is a skill and if you aren't looking for that I don't know that you will like this game.
That aside this is one of the best games I have ever played, the controls are difficult but you FEEL every little bit of skill you gain.
The community is amazing (join a discord server for the game to help with matchmaking). Most of the community is there and ready to teach you this game.
TLDR:
Difficult to learn, community that will help teach you (join discord server for the game) and personality it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played.

Rumble is very fun and fitness-promoting game. It is quite intuitive initially, but there are plenty of skills to learn.

Probably one of the best VR games I've ever played. The only part that gets annoying is how perfect you need your form to be, but other then that it's amazing.
This game is an experience like no other VR game, or game, ever created. It pushes you and challenges you in many ways. The community of this game has a wide range of people with varying playstyles that are only even allowed to exist because of this game. Its simultaneous polish and jank creates this game with a superb art style but a game with interesting physics interactions that give you a rush. I recommend this game for anyone who has a VR headset at all. What you get out of this game is something more worth it than you could ever want. It has gotten me through hard times in my life and caused them itself. This game is wild, be prepared for anything.

В сравнении со многими другими ВР играми управление отвратительное, задержка между реакцией на движения колосальна, при этом движения в игре требуется осуществлять с крайне высокой точностью без права на ошибку. Ко всему этому ещё и добавляется проблема с невозможностью подключиться к серверам

So i tried getting into this game twice and it just didnt work out
i feel like for me this game expects too much, it expect me to learn these pose that you need to preform to the pricise detail or nothing and for some one like me who struggles with memorizing and using pricise imputs on the spot in battle thats a problem
and i know people are gonna say "just practice until you get it right" and to that i say ask yourself this would you rather spend several hours praticing or several hours actually playing the game?
i respect the developers vision and their ambition to make a game like this but this aint for me
if anybody asked me if they should get this or not i would ask them do you want to have fun or do you to do homework? Because thats what this game feels like, homework

Despite the steep learning curve it has became one of my most favorite vr games out there with a wonderful community!
My favorite fighting game mechanics wise brought down by terrible networking. Other games like rocket league are able to have physics based interactions without giving either party a distinct advantage. If any other fighting game did something similar it wouldn't be accepted. Imagine if what combos you could use changed randomly half the time in street fighter. Will change this review to positive if they fix this, but from what I've seen neither the devs nor the community seem to worried about it.
