[b]Fun game, but terrible performance without fan fixes.[/b]

When I first installed the game, it was completely unplayable. Even on the lowest settings, it ran terribly. I honestly thought my PC was the problem.

Only after installing a stutter fix from Nexus Mods did the game become smooth. After that, I could play on max settings with only rare frame drops.

That said, a game with this level of poor optimization should get a negative review, but thanks to the fan fix, I can actually enjoy it.

The game itself is a lot of fun. At first, it takes some getting used to since the build system has changed quite a bit compared to Remnant 1. But once you unlock more items, classes, etc., there’s a huge variety of builds to experiment with, which adds a lot of depth and replayability.

The worlds are beautifully designed, and the gameplay is solid. It really shines as a co-op experience, playing with others makes it even more enjoyable.

If You are looking for a game with custom environemts to explore and backtrack, Please look elsewhere.
Likes: Gun play was fun for the first 10 hours, some of the builds you can make have cool synergies
DIslikes: Due to the procedually generated nature of the game you will encounter filler rooms over and over and over again. It might be fun for some, but for me it really took away from the experience.
The enemy hordes are wayy too numerous and they come out of nowhere, I was expecting to play a soulslike not a Virmintide clone. Again, it could be fun for some, but killing the enemies isn't difficult it just feels tedious, especially with the clunky movement.
I wanted to try out different weapons, but unless you grind you butt off that won't be possible. the weapon upgrade economy basically forces you to invest in a very limited number of items, or spend hours grinding the repetitive dungeons and the abilities and classes don't really add much gameplay diversity.

From what I read the developers wanted to expand on the original by adding more content in each world, but in my opinion, theres wayy too many fodder enemies, that it takes away from the immersion and feels like a chore instead of being engaging. I am planning to play the first, and I hope it will be more fun

I have no idea how this hidden gem managed to fly under my radar for so long, but I’m glad I finally stumbled upon it. The story is solid, the gunplay feels great, and the attention to detail is top-notch—those who take the time to explore every nook and cranny will definitely be rewarded.

It’s basically Dark Souls with guns, and it’s tough. For the full experience, I highly recommend going in blind at first; don’t Google anything and just try to figure it out yourself. That’s all part of the game’s charm. Since the maps are procedurally generated, you can replay the worlds over and over again and still run into something completely new even on your fifth run. That's honestly mind-blowing.

At the end of the day, this feels like a game made by gamers, for gamers. No casual boring Triple A stuff.

This is an absolute must-buy. And please, dear publishers...

Llevo unas 20 horas jugando en solitario y, sin haber terminado todavía mi primer recorrido, puedo decir que es una mejora clara respecto al anterior.

Lo primero que destaca son los arquetipos. No estaban en el primer juego y aquí aportan bastante a la construcción del personaje. Cambian la forma de jugar hasta cierto punto y dan ganas de experimentar, ya que cada elección afecta a tu build para bien o para mal. Es un sistema que le da más profundidad sin complicarlo demasiado.

El combate se siente bastante continuista. En mi caso, al usar armas similares al primer juego, no noté un cambio enorme. Donde sí hay diferencia es en los enemigos: hay menos efectos de estado negativos que antes, lo que hace la experiencia un poco más llevadera. Los jefes son más interesantes en diseño, aunque en general me han parecido algo más fáciles.

Los mundos son más grandes, lo que al principio los hace más atractivos, pero con el tiempo la exploración puede cansar. Aun así, el sistema procedural sigue siendo clave: el hecho de que cada mapa sea diferente hace que no se vuelva repetitivo demasiado rápido y mantiene el interés.

Si jugaste al primero, es muy fácil engancharse desde el inicio porque mantiene sus bases, pero mejoradas. No reinventa la fórmula, pero sí la pule bastante bien.

Generalnie gra bardzo ciekawa i z rozbudowanym lore. Jestem przy końcówce i mogę powiedzieć, że bardzo przyjemna gra (poza jebanym Labirynt Seninelem).
Gra oferuję dużo exploru, możliwości decyzji i fleksyjności z buildami i archetypami.
Gracz ma 3 możliwości startowe światów (Yaesha, Losomn, n'Reud), jeżeli dostałeś Yaeshe to masz elegancki start i stosunkowo przyjemny i dużo lootu z explorem świata. Jeżeli dostałeś Losomn, też spoko krótki i stosunkowo interesujący klimat. Jak dostałeś n'Erud to możesz siedzieć i skompleć bo jesteś w dupie (szczególnie na singlu), bo ten biom cię nienawidzi jak nie masz dobrego eq.
Również warto dodać tryb kooperacji dla 3 osób co urozmaici rozgrywkę, nerwy i stosunkowo łatwiej się będzie grało.
Ogólnie polecam!

Я... Я просто буду считать, что вторая часть никогда не выходила... Сделать такой кал, тем же составом разработчиков, УЖЕ имея на руках первую часть, это надо ##### уметь. Ещё и за такие деньги, ещё и с такой оптимизацией. Годы идут, в игру поназавозили кучу контента для повторных прохождений, длс, "билдострой" и т.д. и т.п., а про геймплей забыли. Враги и боссы абсолютно беззубые. Финалыч, разве что, отдаёт вайбом первой части и хоть что-то от игрока требует

Genuinely my favorite game for YEARS. Mind my hours. I was on Console when the game first launched and played through xbox.

However I will put this here anyway cause I LOVE this game so much. While I don't play much anymore I loved the grind of Hardcore, and the difficulties and the reworks I saw the game go through, it influenced a lot for me and I will never forget specifically The Red Prince. Idk why but that guy is hands down my Favorite character. His armor from the DLC quest is my 100% favorite armor. I basically never removed it and made builds off fire for that sole fact alone.

Anyway this is an almost perfect game and is peak. Definitely worth sinking your time and money into it.

I admit that I have an odd system configuration; however, when every single game in my somewhat considerable library runs, and this one not only crashes so hard that I am unable to close the program, I am also unable to use any of my inputs, even to exit to tty. It crashes so hard that even after killing the process by remote SSH connection, the PC remains locked up. Impressively, even after I kill all graphics, the TTY is STILL SLUGGISH.
I must unfortunately conclude, that if this course of events is at all possible, some developer along the pipeline has tremendously ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

I once spent over a year troubleshooting a single game on and off. It was at least well behaved enough to crash.
This garbage has impressed me by being so broken from the get-go that I am unwilling to even work with it.

Dark Souls with guns and coop sounds really fun. For the love of God fix the tech.

I just remembered that my friends and we never finished this game. Why? Because the devs thought they were clever with hiding every single unlock from the players. Better bury your face in youtube videos and dig through the wiki trenches unless of course you get the wibbly wobblies for datamining.

If you HAVE to play this game, play on normal difficulty, beat the game and never choke on the blue pill of hidden archetypes and the rest of the "endgame". Just use some basic rings that don't confuse you and stick to guns (melee sucks so hard unless you do a build and you're not going to do a build unless your self imposed pharmacist has it out for you).

This game would be a great subject for a class on first impressions and subverting expectations.

Первая часть Remnant from the Ashes - Превосходна ! Немного не хватило красок...
Тем не менее, повторюсь -> Превосходна !!!

Вторая часть Remnant 2 - Это смесь собаки бульдога с африканским носорогом, который похитил меня, после чего долго и нудно зондировал меня в задний проход, а после, мы целые сутки, без отдыха, танцевали медленный танец, под одну и туже композицию.
Я хотел бы напомнить товарищам из Gunfire games о том, что Remnant 2, по логике вещей, позиционируется для клиента как продолжение Remnant from The Ashes, то есть, полюбившейся нам шутер с элементами Rogue-like. А по факту мы имее то, что я описал абзацем выше.
1) Несмотря на то, что игра позиционируется как шутер... От шутера тут - 20-25%. Remnant 2 - это RPG или даже правильнее сказать Diablo с пушками. Реально огнестрел 20-25% и 75-80% заклинания/магические существа/модули/мутаторы/реликвии.... Да тут такого паладина можно создать, которому ядерная боеголовка, сродни укусу комара :) И самое интересное это то, что этот палладин, с мечом, обсолютный чемпион. Это точно Remnant ??? Похоже это какой то любительский мод, где паладина из Dark Souls засунули в Remnant :)) Надо поискать мод, где инженера из Remnant засунули в Skyrim :))))
2) 11-ть разных классов со своими умениями и пассивками, которые "синергируют" друг с другом. То есть, одновременно можно использовать 2-ва разных класса. Зачем ? Зачем было вводить это безобразие ? Это я ещё молчу про то, как не очевидно получить такой класс как инженер и Боже упаси не сойти с ума, прежде чем собрать определенный обвес, что бы получить класс - Архонт. А ещё есть DLC. В DLC есть дополнительные классы: Смотритель/Колдун/Мастер обрядов. Куда проще было сделать взаимозависимые ветки умений, которые продаются и улучшаются или модернизируются за лом или осколки.
3) Тонна разной одежды, оружия, бижутерии, классов, механик. Все это "синергирует" на старте. После скорый ребаланс всего и вся, и на выходе мы имеем... что ничего мы более не имеем. Опять сродни Diablo с их сезонами.
4) Квесты :) Резня в Си Миноре; Невыносимое бремя; Тройной захват; и моё почтение... внимание... барабанная дробь.... -> Великий строитель.
Вот эти приколы со взаимодействием с предметами внутри инвентаря. Когда их нужно крутить так и сяк:) Квест на класс Архонт:) Я уверен, что для тех кто это придумал, уже есть отдельный котел в аду.
Вывод.
Честно... разочарован и очень зол. Я конечно купил игру на распродаже + DLC. И я очень рад тому, что не купил ее по фулл прайсу. В противном случае, я кусал бы локти. Повторюсь... Я хочу классический шутер с элементами rogue-like. Я не хочу Diablo с пушками. Я хочу мчать по локации, раздавая с автомата на лево и на право. А по итогу, я долблюсь в билдостроение. Просто тону в тонне вариантов "качественной синергии" посредством тонны бижутерии, тонны костюмов, тонны оружия, тонны умений, тонны мутаторов, тонны классов, тонны модификаторов. А ещё, чтобы получить тонну всего этого, нужно пройти тонну разных и не очевидных вариацый того или иного мира.
За мою 25-ти летнюю практику, это 2-й негативный отзыв. Первый был на Dragon Age Inquisition.
Моя оценка -> 2 < (5-ти бальная система)
2 балла за то, что она похожа на 1-ю часть.
Лучше бы вы сделали ремастер... хотя по факту, это и есть ремастер с невменяемым количеством мусора. Нет... нет... нет... Я говорю нет ! Нет Diablo составляющей в этом проекте !!! Уважаемый разработчик, помните, краткость - сестра таланта ! Не нужно спаривать собаку и носорога :) Шутер - это шутер, MMORPG - это MMORPG. Да, можно частично позаимствовать механики. Дать пользователям глоток свежего воздуха. Это похвально. Но не нужно доводить это до абсурда ! Я головой тронулся вникая во все это. Я люблю MMORPG, Lineage, Aion. Не смотря на их жанр, они просты и понятны. А ваш проект, remnant 2, - это срала-мазала. Игра должна радовать и расслаблять, а не напрягать после напряжённого рабочего дня :)

С вероятностью 99%, следующий Remnant, буду проходить на Youtube. Серьйозно, накуоалесили вы !!! Первый Remnan ежегодно перепрохожу, ежегодно перепрохожу с удовольствием....

I recommend this to fans of:
- MMO-Like progression systems (so expect a long journey strife with grinding)
- Having a lot of possibilities for character builds by being able to Dual Class (quite early on too if you speedrun to 1500 scraps and 5 lumenite crystals, go nuts! personally I just like that my gun works and I can survive, that's mostly enough for me), classes are treated like equipables, so if you don't like your primary class you can change it to something else later without any consequences! It's okay if you have commitment issues! :D
- Third Person Shooters (the closest I can really compare this to would be Arc Raiders and the Last Of Us, but the movement is looser.. I don't usually play third person shooters anyway.. there's also no crafting system mid game if that's what you seek out of third person shooters like the two I had mentioned, I need to clarify this so you don't feel misled)
- Souls-like games (not as tightly knit but the spirit is the same, so expect a long journey strife with dying and a great amount of BS.. and also a fair bit of exploration, as usual, it's rewarded.)
- Inspecting Items to help with solving puzzles and exploration (rare though, so don't buy this if you're thinking Resident Evil levels of inspecting)
- Roguelite games (Boss Rush Mode exists)

I do not recommend this to people:
- who have no patience for BS. (there's a lot of it here, especially if you play alone, if you want something that's fair but still challenging go play an actual souls-like like Sekiro or something)
- who prefer to play alone (this game is not designed for singleplayer, 20 hours coming from me, I hated it half the time.)
- looking for good character writing (I like the world building though)
- who don't want to spend time thinking about or making builds for their characters. (sorry, but you have to.)
- who don't like games that lack character customization (not talking about character builds), this is a minor issue but I'm sure someone out there would think this is a deal breaker, so might as well write it down lol
- who love Roguelikes (Hardcore Mode can suck my ♥♥♥♥, with all the issues this game has when it comes to balancing and difficulty {don't even get me started on random BS that can happen to you during literally anything involving instant death holes}, you will almost never have fun with a Hardcore character, just forget it unless you've been officially diagnosed with masochism, this is a pure test of patience, don't do it)

What to expect:
- fun, interesting boss fights, I've maybe come across three bad ones out of the 20 I've fought so far.. I don't think I'll be able to forget how one of them doesn't shut up about their everything, get over it dude, like damn.
- having a swarm of enemies run a train on you (almost always) because you:
/- Ran out of Stamina
/- Can't dodge fast enough (weight threshold discrimination is real, never play on anything less than light)
/- Are currently in the middle of trying to reload and/or searching for ammo like a beggar who forgot to buy an ammo box (was me, still me, I am not about to spend 200 scraps on some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ammo box bro sorry not sorry)
/- Ran out of ammo
/- Are playing alone
/- Chose the wrong difficulty
/- All of the above
- lotsa classes and weapons to have fun with! The game highly encourages experimentation, don't feel afraid to experiment! (character build customization is goated)

final recommendation: PLAY IT WITH FRIENDS, get two other fellas and die together! (not romantic, very tragic, much swearing)

Things that happened to me which pissed me off greatly:
1. Getting teleported into an instant death hole by an aberration halfway through a gauntlet boss rush, ending my run.
2. fighting against the legion boss. (slow as hell, boring, annoying, tanky.. I could feel like my time wasn't respected playing against it)
3. "HE WAS MY EVERYTHING" with Thick Skin modifier. (played with friends, not a fun boss)

Can pet dog

Jokes aside my buddy and I played about 8 hours straight with grabbing some food/smoke breaks here and there in between missions and had a blast (at sale price)

A few gripes on map design (not the look, the maps are beautiful but empty rooms, dead ends, etc) story is... there, not much to grasp on to in that aspect.

all in all its a middle thumb for solo play but for co-op if you like looter shooters (notice how I didnt say souls likes) this is something I think someone with a friend or 2 would enjoy booting up after long day at work

Хороший кооператив на 2-3 человек. Прошел игру 4 раза.
Плюсы:
- Много боссов,
- Много оружия.
- Много классов.
- Хватаешь друзей и идете проходить, добавить особо нечего, всем кто пробовал зашло.
- из вышенаписанного вывод о большой вариации различных билдов. От самых простых для любителей пострелять, до не убиваемых, которые могут танковать любых боссов соло.
Минусы:
- Оптимизация ужасна, добавить мало что можно. Ранее играл на 3060 TI и на качестве графики уровня картошки было "удовлетворительно", фпс было 80-100 в бою.
- Имхо. Нужно много гриндить кристаллы с сильными бафами, хоть и проходил без них, но они сильно облегчают и дополняют сборки.
- Игра проще 1ой части, очень много несбалансированных билдов, где 1-2 кнопки убивают карту на любом уровне сложности.

Итог:
Рекомендую к приобретению. особенно со скидкой, со всеми DLC.

Ta seria gier jest po prostu świetna.
Może i jest dosyć trudna, a ja jestem w niej beznadziejny i ostatniego Bossa pewnie do końca życia sam nie będę w stanie ubić w dwójce Remnanta, ale losowi gracze którzy podczas gry się potrafią dołączyć i prowadzą prawie za rączkę przez każdy etap gry, biegając i zaznaczając różne ukryte lokalizacje i przedmioty, ciekawy świat, ładna grafika, nieliniowe lokalizacje, to jest po prostu genialne do tego stopnia że w którymś momencie sam zaczynasz dołączać do losowych gier i prowadzić mniej zaawansowanych graczy przez zrujnowany i niebezpieczny świat Remnant.

Dla mnie ogólnie gra 8,5/10, chociaż w gatunku który przedstawia zdecydowane 10/10.
