Я конечно видел глупые сюжеты, слабые, плохие условности, кривые механики, но всему же должен быть предел. И вот он случился в данной игре!

Начну от простого:
- Билдостроения нет. Нужные навыки практически со старту приобретаете. Дальше кроме, как на пассивки некуда и заглядываться. Прокачка линейна;
- На обилие шмоток и лут уповать тоже не стоит. Его падает много, но полезность его, кроме хилом, очень слаба. Простые шмотки со статами, которые ничего интересного не дают больше;
- Кривая механика лкм. Персонаж может пойти кругом, не реагировать, а атаковать лучше вообще через шифт. Собственно так всю игру и прошёл;
- Врагов нереально много! Опыт дают далеко не за всех и очень быстро перестают давать опыт за обычных на локации, или уходит в минимум, даже с пассивкой. Уже в первой локации после пролога я взял ачивку на убийство 1000 врагов. Дальше только хуже;
- Враги, буквально, станят нас. Местный стаггер. Если окружили, то вы можете даже хилку не успеть прожать, ибо эти станы не дают возможности прожать и её.

[i] Однако самое страшное тут - сюжет и его условности, которые вышли из чата.
Можно сказать, что в такой игре, а-ля диаблоид, его рассматривать глупо, но нет. Его очень бодро заявили и на протяжении всей игры активно развивают. А так как механик, активностей и прочего тут нет, на историю пристальный взгляд. Это было единственное, что не дало мне закрыть игру до финала. И нет, не потому, что он интересный, а хотелось увидеть уровень: кринжа, фейспалма, тупости, и так далее. [/i]

Буквально вкраце и простое:
_- Нам говорят о том, что воюют четыре стороны конфликта -> называют нам только три
-_ 4 правителя заключили мир -> дальнейшие путешествия по локациям всех королевств, нас пытаются убить вообще все и вся;
_- На всех локациях торговцы ЛЮДИ -> дворфы? эльфы? да вообще пофиг (мы играем за человека, к слову);
-_ Мы изничтожаем просто нереальное количество всех, даже свиту королей -> короли: ой ну ладно, ничего страшного, давай поговорим;
_- Открыты все порталы по континенту -> по новой топаем по кругу, по всем тем же королевствам;
-_ Убиваем тысячи эльфов/дворфов -> резко попадается группа, которой мы помогаем и в итоге они нас не бьют;

[h3] По итогу: [/h3] [i] максимально не рекомендую. Какая-нибудь Dungeon Siege 2, Ван Хельсинг, Торчлайт, да любые другие АРПГ будут лучше. В осаде подземелья 2 шикарные синематики, даже есть билды. Игра намного младше этого проекта. Тут плохо всё, кроме растягивания времени, засчёт количества мобов, и нереально глупого сюжета, ничего другого нет. [/i]

🕒 Time played: 15 hours
🏆 Completion: 100% game completion + all Steam achievements

As an achievement hunter, I completed R.A.W. Realms of Ancient War 100% in about 15 hours, unlocking every Steam achievement.

From my experience completing games, this one was not very difficult to finish at 100%. The game itself is actually quite short — a single playthrough takes roughly 4–5 hours. The main reason I spent 15 hours in the game is because you need to finish the story with three different characters in order to unlock the final achievement.

The gameplay itself is fairly straightforward. It’s a simple action RPG with classic hack-and-slash mechanics. The combat is decent, and while it’s not anything groundbreaking, it’s enjoyable enough for a casual playthrough.

Overall, the game feels like a “play once and move on” type of experience, but it still has its charm. I personally bought it during a sale for about $0.50, and for that price it’s absolutely worth it. Plus, it gave me another perfect game added to my Steam collection, which is always satisfying as an achievement hunter.

RAW: Realms of Ancient War is a competent but thoroughly unremarkable hack-and-slash that delivers exactly what it promises — mindless monster slaying across a variety of environments — without ever rising above mediocrity. The three archetypal classes (warrior, rogue, mage) are serviceable, and the game runs stably without major bugs, but the experience is dragged down by poor PC controls that can't be rebound, clunky hit detection that has you swinging at air, and an XP system so weirdly capped that grinding a single level feels completely pointless. Combat can be satisfying in short bursts, especially with a gamepad or a local co-op buddy, but solo on keyboard and mouse it quickly becomes a chore of clicking through waves of identical spiders and dwarves. Не зная почему столько негатива к этой игре. Нормальная игра, простая и не имеющая глубокого сюжета. Она больше для расслабления. Играл за лучницу и за всю игру умирал всего 2 раза. Такие игры заходят далеко не всем, "на вкус и цвет" как говорится.
1. Нет карты и мини карты? Какой ужас, я потерялся в трёх соснах. Шучу. Для меня это не проблема.
2. Всё сводится к понятию "руби и убивай"? А вы чего ожидали, что там будут дебаты: "разбор по мастям" или "кто ты по жизни", или "займись сексом и кончай"? Открою маленький секрет. Многие игры сводятся к понятию "руби и убивай", "стреляй и подрывай", "доминируй и унижай" и т.д. Лично мне игра понравилась и я прошёл её с удовольствием.

НЕ верьте всем этим отзывам: "тут можно расслабится", "игра лучше, чем дьябло", "самое то после работы". Я не фанат дьябло, но кем работают эти типы, которые приходят с работы и "расслабляются" поедая калл?

Пацаны, купите себе Ван Хельсинг и расслабляйтесь. Там есть сюжет, атмосфера, музыка, юмор и НОРМАЛЬНАЯ ИГРА!

I just beat the game with the archer. It's not bad! Generic, not that many skills, pretty short, but honestly that's sometimes all you need. And I grabbed it at 85% off it's already low price, so pick it up if you like the genre but don't want a massive grind to see the end!

Je crois que les devs n'ont pas testé leur jeu de fdp. Tu meurs 3 foisdurant le niveau tu dois tout recommencer au début du jamais vu sur un H&S. En plus tu as le droit à juste 3 potions de vie par niveau mais pas plus. Les ennemis te tuenz en 3-4coups en normal mal grès que tu augmentes ton armure et tes résistances aberrant. Tu peux avoir plusque 3 potion de heal mais vu que c'est du loot ultra rare ben autant chercher une aiguille dans une botte de foin sa sera plus facile a trouvé l'aiguille que du heal sur ce jeu. Tuas bien des marchands qui en vendent 9 sur certaines mission mais vu que l'or c'est aussi super dure à en avoir et que les prix chez les marchands jusqu'au lvl 20 ben c'est des prix exorbitants. Presque 1000 pièces d'or pour 1 potion de heal chez le marchand. Dire que les PO sur ce jeu c'est comme pour les potions de heal c'est ultra rare. Le loot de l'équipements sa aussi c'est super mal fait. Je joue la classe nain je loot plus d'équipement pour le sorcier ou la rodeuse que pour mon guerrier nain aberrant aussi. Comment veux-tu augmenter ton stuf si tu drop que du loot pour les autre perso je comprends pas cette logique. DOnc au final tu as un H&S complètement fini à la pisse vu tout les défaut qui a. Je sais pas pourquoi avoir mis le drop de heal vu les dégâts des ennemis autant rare que ça et aussi je comprends pas pourquoi faut être lvl 20 pour activer un passif dans l'arbre pour baisser les prix des marchands. Pourquoi ne pas l'avoir mis plus tôt ou alors avoir mis moins chez les marchand au début. Parce que 869PO la potion alors que l'or faut aussi être lvl 20 pour que les ennemis ton lâchent plus souvent mais jusqu'au lvl 20 bonne chance pour avoir de l'or tellement que c'est un loot légendaire aussi. Vraimment il y a rien qui va sur ce jeu. Trop compliquer de se heal et de tuer les ennemis en normal alors que diablo poe et j'en passe je les ai tous fait en difficile ou plus haut vu que sur ces HnS tu en drop plus facilement du heal et c'est aussi plus simple a drop des PO aussi donc pour ça que ces jeux sont b ien meilleurs que ce jeu fini à la pisse.

An absolute linear no brainer - some call it arpg, even mention diablo, but let's be honest, it's a twin stick shooter. Works just fine for a couple couch coop sessions. Story is too cheesy and generic - just don't expect too much and keep slashing the mobs. In the second half, some levels are like a few minutes long, obviously they were reaching the deadline. One would expect some kind of roll or dash, but there is none.

Unfortunately, the game is quite obscure and there are literally no user patches. You can't disable the atrocious bloom (hits the screen in the forest) and the image is too smooth cause of foced antialiasing and apparently 720p target resolution.

The only gameplay related warning, don't let player 2 choose a different character, cause it wipes his progress. Also we used controllers, guess it was somewhat intended way to play it, no idea how it plays on kb/mouse. The right stick switches between two skill panes, something we literally figured out almost in the end. The camera locks players in the viewport, but surprisingly it wasn't a big deal here.

R.A.W. Realms of Ancient War, to typowy Hack’n’Slash. Produkcja od studia Wizarbox, już nie istniejącego, które zostało zamknięte z powodu bankructwa. Co do fabuły, rozgrywa się w bliżej nie określonym świecie fantasy gdzie istnieje magia oraz czary. Pomagamy uwolnić "króla", powoduje to dalszy ciąg wydarzeń, a tym samym konsekwencje naszych działań.
Do wyboru mamy 3 klasy postaci, Wojownika, Czarodzieja oraz Lotrzycę. Podczas wędrówki zabijamy sporo wrogów, zbieramy przedmioty, awansujemy na kolejne level`e ulepszając swoje zdolności gdzie każdy z bohaterów posiada nieco inne dla swojej profesji, aczkolwiek nie jest tak do końca.
Graficznie prezentuje się przeciętnie, muzycznie tak samo. Grać można samemu albo w kooperacji. Do wyboru mamy trzy poziomy trudności. Lokalizacja gry jest w j. polskim. Steam podaje błędną informację o języku iż Nasz język nie jest obsługiwany. Tytuł ten ukazany jest z widoku izometrycznego jednakże twórcy kamerę umieścili zbyt blisko protagonisty. A skoro poruszyłem negatywy;
- Kamera umieszczona zbyt blisko gracza.
- Brak mapy i mini mapy podczas gry.
- U każdego bohatera (prawie) połowa zdolności jest taka sama.
- Przeciętna grafika oraz muzyka.
- Za mało misji pobocznych.
- Brak filmiku/animacji po ubiciu końcowego boss`a.
- Nieco nużąca.
- Fabularne lekkie nieścisłości.
- Ostatni achivment o nazwie "wieczny bohater" jest zepsute/zbugowane. Po przejściu gry trzecim bohaterem ono nie wchodzi, więc "wycalakowanie" tytułu na 100% nieosiągalne.
Podsumowując, R. A. W. Realms of Ancient War jest produkcją przeciętną, nie dla każdego, spora część graczy może się od niej "odbić". Ale jeśli jesteś fanem gier Hack`n`Slash możesz w nią zagrać. Nie warto przepłacać, kupić jedynie tanio albo na promocji. Pozdrawiam.

[h2] ❌ Um clone de diablo, antigo e bem fraquinho [/h2]

Joguei de arqueira. Achei o controle do combate impreciso. Mirando em cima do inimigo as vezes errará. As animações são longas e um erro significa ficar preso parado por alguns segundos.
O combate 90% do tempo é repetitivo, não tem qualquer desafio e não empolga. Os 10% restantes é injusto, dezenas de monstros aparecendo na sua frente, em salas apertadas.

Não fui muito longe na história nem na árvore de skills.. mas o pouco que experimentei achei bem genérico.

Não é um jogo de todo ruim. Porém mostra se defasado e há vários jogos melhores do gênero disponiveis.

RAW: Realms of Eternal War is a pretty generic game for its genre, but I played it with a friend and we were able to finish it and enjoy the experience. The gameplay is clunky and dated, and there are definitely many better games that do what it tries to do, but for me it’s underrated and still enjoyable. Being an older game, it shows its age, yet it has a certain charm and cooperative fun that made it worth playing despite its flaws.

+Schwierigkeitsgrad angemessen

+Hatte während der Spielzeit keine Abstürze oder relevanten Bugs.

+Fähigkeiten und unterschiedliche Rüstungen sind übersichtlich und im Anbetracht des Umfangs angemessen.

+Ich habe Magier gespielt und er hatte alles, was man braucht, von Feuerbällen und Blitzen bis zu Beschwörungen.

– Kämpfe sehr einseitig, bestehen fast ausschließlich aus dem wiederholten Drücken der gleichen Knöpfe.

– Gegner verhalten sich fast alle weitgehend gleich.

- Balancing teilweise fragwürdig

- Geschichte/ Dialoge trivial

- Kurze Spielzeit und für mich wenig Wiederspielwert.

Insgesamt ein durchschnittliches Spiel, das sich für zwischendurch eignet und ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat. Hatte meinen kurzweiligen Spaß damit.

it has the:

- Diablo 3 graphical feel,
- Diablo 2 gameplay and
- Diablo 1 character classes.

That is what it seems like. It is about 8 hours long it you do not wander too much. There is a Compass that usually points towards the tracked quest objective, so you are not getting lost even if the map is not available.

The only thing that is weird is that there was no voice lines in my game (silent) even though there is a long slew of voice actors for the characters in the credits.

Plot is a betrayal one.

Die Story in diesem Diablo-like ist etwas strange, aus dem Nichts kommen Kreaturen und überfallen die drei Länder der Elben, Menschen und Zwerge. Als wir fast von diesen Monstern überrannt werden, ruft uns eine Stimme zu, durch ein Portal zu gehen - das machen wir auch mangels Alternativen. Schon sind wir im Tempel der Helden und kloppen uns weiter mit den Kreaturen herum. Die Stimme lenkt uns zu einem eingefrorenen Typen, der die Gelegenheit nutzt und gleich in unseren Körper bzw. Verstand schlüpft und uns zur Flucht animiert. Unser großer Auftrag fortan: Die drei Portalen in den drei Reichen "reinigen" und den Tempel der Helden anschließend auch. Dann wird alles wieder gut. Zumindest habe ich das Ganze so verstanden. Aber Story hin oder her, wir schnetzeln hier einfach alles nieder, was sich bewegt. Die Grafik macht einen ganz netten Eindruck und ist stimmungsvoll. Auch Sound und Musik können gefallen (auch wenn die Musik bei mir so unglaublich laut war...). Der eigentliche Knackpunkt bei diesem Spiel ist aber das Kernelement des Gameplays, nämlich das Monsterschnetzeln. Die Trefferboxen sind unglaublich ungenau. Da steht man neben einem Gegner und drischt drauf, trifft aber nicht, dann wieder gelingt es einem einfach nicht, den Gegner anzuklicken. Oftmals ist auch vollkommen unklar, ob der Gegner tot ist oder nicht. Da wird man angegriffen, sieht aber gar keinen Gegner und stellt dann fest, dass diese kleine Spinne hinter dem Charakter nicht zu sehen war. Das frustriert auf Dauer und hebelt die Freude an einer recht unkomplizierten Schnetzelei auf.

Un sous diablolike moins bon que diablo 2 ou 3 mais forcement meilleur que diablo 4 ! Un scenario cousu de fil blanc mais qui a l avantage d etre sur 26 chapitres ! les niveaux sont assez courts et en une apresmidid vous aurez fini le jeu ! La difficulte est assez moyenne et il n y a pas de grands pics de difficulte qui vous attendront lors de votre epopee ... La montee en puissance de votre perso est assez insipide et on se retrouve souvent comme avec diablo , avec le sac a dos pleins ....
Les graphismes sont moyens et les commandes rpondent bien

Hack and slash that is far from being refined however still delivers some decent experience. Take on a missions, find new equipment and fight your way through the hordes to the next area. Plays ok and have some arcade values but at the same time feels a bit basic. Definitely a lot better for coop but also much easier that way (just ramp up that difficulty level). Controls are ok and works well with a controller. There's no dashing which is a big con for me as you can't avoid danger swiftly. Visual side is ok, some locations are very dark so it's much better played at night. Cutscenes are good enough and voice acting is decent and I like how the introduction makes up for the atmosphere. Music and sounds are great. When compared to Gauntlet for example it's worse but still playable. Slight recommendation for hack and slash enthusiasts and not as bad as people say (still better than Sacred 3 though).

RAW is a solid arpg. Smooth simple mechanics, cool and useful skills (I played a wizard), story was interesting but predictable, and 100% worth the money for the game. You can play the three different characters which do have different feels and you can also play with friends. The only issues I had was you can only level once per level, but it was supposed to be xp based, should have been mile stone based in this case and the loot could have been better and more frequent.

Es muss nicht immer die NEUESTE Grafik sein, ob wohl die gar nicht schlecht ist wenn man bedenkt das es von 2012 ist.

Ich mag solche Spiele, wo man nicht immer 10 tasten auf einmal drücken muss.

Es macht Spaß und würde es Empfehlen.

Man kann es auch gut mit Tastatur und Mause Spielen.

Habe es im SALE gekauft für 77 Cent und auch die 4.99 Euro wäre es auch wert.

Undiscovered gem is a classic word and it´s so true about this game.
I did not enjoy the combat in Diablo games but loved combat in
Gauntlet. So if you want a mix between those two with some very nice
levels I really recommend you to try it out.

Its very enjoyable with a gamepad. It´s not really a lootershooter
and more of a oldschool hack and slash. I was competly surprised
of how good it looks.

Also playable in coop.

Story is meeh but the gameplay is solid and I´ve had quite
a nice time with it. And for 4,99 you can´t go wrong .

while i got this a while ago, i am finally playing it. im playing obviously on pc, maybe the controls are better on console, but as it stands right now, the controls are very figity, maybe i need to adjust the controls of my mouse or something, but, playing it is very janky and messed up. makes it hard to play sometimes, but, i am trying to beat this game. is it worth it, maybe, when its 2 bucks on steam sales, its a 7 hour game, maybe its better with other players. cause it is multiplayer. would i recommend it, no. not right now, only buy out of curiousity, and wanting a gauntlet clone.

edit: i would like to add, that after getting a controller, it plays way better. and if you want two player co-op, have a second controller. not sure how it would work, but i think it is available on the xbone, psn and steam. im playing it on steam, its not terrible. it doe however leave something to be desired. really wish it had a online co-op. would be cool to play with other players.

In diesem Action-RPG kämpfen wir uns in typischer Manier durch Horden von Feinden, sammeln bessere Ausrüstung und steigen im Level auf. Abgesehen, dass es etwas schwierig ist, sind mir keine Mechaniken aufgefallen, die das Spiel ungewöhnlich machen. Zumindest ist das Spiel im Koop mit einem weiteren Spieler verfügbar.
Jetzt kommen wir aber zu den ganzen negativen Aspekten. Das Spiel hat eine schlechte Balance. Questbelohnungen sind oft eher mittelmäßig, Heil- und Manatränke gibt es wie Sand am Meer und diese sind auch noch ungleich viel wert. Dazu respawnen Feinde eher nervig hinter einem und sorgen dafür, dass man noch mehr stumpf drauf hauen muss.
Als ich die Geschichte nach einem Speichern fortsetzen wollte, bin ich nicht an meinem letzten Standort gespawnt, sondern direkt am Anfang des Abenteuers. Zwar hatte ich noch Ausrüstung und Level, aber ich habe den Startdialog, die Tutorials und die Quest noch einmal bekommen. Äh…seltsam? Außerdem gibt es Seelensteine, die im Grunde Extraleben darstellen, gleichzeitig behält man bei einem kompletten Game Over dann dennoch seine Rüstung und sein Level. Wo wollten die Entwickler denn hier hin?
Es geht hier sehr viel um Grind, Ausrüstung und Level. Aber warum kann ich denn z.B. bei Fähigkeiten nicht sehen, wie viel ein zusätzlicher Skillpunkt tatsächlich ändert? Da werden die Skillstufen dann lieber mit “etwas”, “sehr” oder “stark” beschrieben.

Warum sind die meisten Schrottgegenstände außerdem dazu immer gleich viel wert?
Das Spiel ist in mehrere Abenteuer unterteilt, in denen wir vorgegebene Helden spielen. Zur Auswahl stehen dabei klassisch der Magier, der Krieger und der Schurke. Kann ich akzeptieren, aber innovativ kann man das wirklich nicht nennen.
Was genau an dem Spiel ein Action RPG sein soll, verstehe ich auch nicht. Ich sehe hier eher einen klassischen Dungeoncrawler wie [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/200710/Torchlight_II/]Torchlight[/url] oder “Diablo”, in dem wir ein paar Fähigkeiten verwenden. Okay, wir können vor manchen Angriffen weglaufen, aber das soll dann die Action sein? Das ist außerdem bei der schieren Menge an Feinden gar nicht vernünftig möglich. Nur 3 Jahre nach „R.A.W.“ kam [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/345180/Victor_Vran_ARPG/]Victor Vran[/url] raus und dort können wir Klettern, Springen und Ausweichen. Korrigiert mich, aber genau so etwas verstehe ich unter einem ARPG.

Ich gebe hier mal das Intro wieder. Die Königreiche der Elfen, Menschen, Zwerge und Menschen (ja, zweimal!) waren lange Zeit harmonisch und wollten sich dann gegenseitig auf die Schnauze hauen. Nach 20 Jahren wusste dann niemand, wieso man sich eigentlich bekämpfte. WARTE, WAS? Nach 20 Jahren weiß man einfach nicht mehr, warum man damit angefangen hat? Selbst dieselben Menschen haben da doch noch gelebt. Von Elfen und Zwergen ganz zu schweigen. Naja, egal. Auf jeden Fall hat der Nordkönig dann zur Versammlung eingeladen und seltsamerweise sind alle Herrscher geistig verwirrt und kaum lebendig zu ihren Reichen zurückgekehrt. Das haben die Völker dann zum Anlass genommen, um Frieden zu schließen. Äh…ihr schickt euren Herrscher zu einer Unterredung und der kommt wie ein Wahnsinniger brabbelnd zurück. Und DAS ist dann der Anlass, warum ihr das Schwert ins Gras werft und es gut sein lasst? Tut mir leid, aber so wirklich logisch klingt das nicht.

Da erwarte ich zwar von vielen RPGs nicht viel, aber man hätte hier natürlich glänzen können.

Die Übersetzung ist an sich voll in Ordnung, aber eine Sache muss ich wirklich erwähnen: Bei dem Erreichen einer neuen Stufe steht da ernsthaft “Level nach oben”. Boah. Nein. Ich kann einfach nicht mehr.

Die musikalische Untermalung ist vielleicht noch das Beste, was ich über das Spiel sagen kann.

[b]Fazit[/b]
Wenn ich ein Spiel entwickle, mache ich mir doch grundlegende Gedanken. Die Entwickler von „R.A.W. Realms of Ancient War“ waren hier offenbar nicht sehr inspiriert. Es ist nicht nur so, dass „R.A.W.“ kein innovatives Gameplay bietet. Zusätzlich ist die Ausrichtung des Spiels nicht wirklich zu erkennen und die Balance lässt zu wünschen übrig. Selbst zum ursprünglichen Release war es altbacken. Es überrascht mich, dass ein großer Publisher wie Focus Enternaimnent für das Spiel mitverantwortlich ist. Empfehlen kann ich es auf jeden Fall nicht. Warum man auch dem zurecht unbekannten „R.A.W.“ eine Chance geben, wenn es da draußen Spiele wie [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/2694490/Path_of_Exile_2/]Path of Exile 2[/url] gibt?

Dungeoncrawler dieser Art sind zwar ohnehin nicht so ganz meins, aber ich erkenne Unterschiede in der Qualität. Competent and average Diablo clone. The character is clumsier than usual and disengaging can sometimes be difficult because of it. It's good enough to spend some time playing this short arpg, the character development is as typical as it can be. It's easy for the most part, but sometimes the player character gets jumped by numerous enemies out of nowhere. Healing potions are more precious than typically, so keep stacking them up as much as you can, especially early on. The plot is really nothing to care about, but don't let that discourage you.

"R.A.W. Realms of Ancient War" is an older game from 2012. It's a venerable 12 years old at the time of this review. It's basically a poor man's ripoff of Diablo, painfully generic, mildly dark fantasy theme, generic classes.

There's a lack of quality of life features in the game, the interface is clunky and a bit tiresome to use. Hitboxing is pretty bad, too, and this is an action RPG so it should be better.

The visuals don't look terrible despite the age of the game, and it does "work", although you'd be better off with Diablo or Path of Exile etc.

From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.

The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.

Another defect in the game caused by the console-peasant-centric design is the intolerably bad camera controls. There's no effective mouselook, and control of the viewing angles is deliberately outside of reasonable control from the user, which I guess might be okay except some of the bigger bosses and enemies can hit you from offscreen, so that's bad.

This defect springs from the limitations of inferior console peasant children's toy gamepads, but on PC we don't have this limitation due to KB+M controls... however, the developer deliberately chose to arrogantly foist this handicap onto PC gamers. Out of spite, or laziness, it's unclear, regardless, once more console peasants and console devs have made gaming worse for everyone.

Because this is designed for consoles, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the inferior console gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the console-centric developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for consoles forces upon a game.

These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.

So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam?

"R.A.W. Realms of Ancient War" is a little overpriced at around $5 USD. Unfortunately Steam reviewers aren't presented with a "Maybe" option... if they did, that's what I'd choose. This isn't a completely bad game, but it's also not one of the best. As always, if you read my review and you can overlook the negatives I've called out, or they just aren't important to you, then by all means go ahead and buy this.

my favorite parts about this game are the main quest, the sound effects, and the levels. Theres alot to be left unsaid for this game, including how the hell those flame ball spiders got there...

Aside from that, most parts of Realms of Ancient War work quite well and its quite Speedy

My other favorite part of the game is the Shops and Merchants, and Side Quests

Maze of Grimelda can take you 5 minutes or over an hour

Are you up for the Test?

My other favorite part of the game is the Levelling system and skill points, and getting the Bonus XP one so you can just skip mobs on the Warrior with your AOE abilities and get O.P real quick so you can basically skip the later levels like you see on the short "sky platoform" levels, and just rush to the end with an xp buff

Un juego Tipo Diablo que ha envejecido relativamente bien. Que puedo destacar del Juego:
-Historia interesante, cada personaje comienza con una historia propia que luego se une a una trama global en común para todos, con un buen Plow twist (Giro argumental que no te esperabas).
-Jugabilidad Completamente distinta para cada clase de personaje.
-La Clase Guerrero tiene una mecánica de Kiteo interesante para atacar con normales Cuerpo a Cuerpo.
-Puedes completar el juego con todas las clases en Hard con relativa facilidad una vez que conoces todas las mecánicas.
-Árbol de habilidades bastante logrado.

Contras:
-Puede tornarse repetitivo en las distintas Raid para finalizarlo.
-El arsenal se queda algo corto para las diferentes clases.
-Los gráficos no se destacan (debido a la limitación de la época)
-Algún bug rara vez, pero de poca importancia

Veredicto: Recomendado, por el precio y si es que quieres pasarte un rato con un juego de la vieja escuela de rol tipo Diablo.

Is it worth it? Possibly.
If you own a Deck, or use Steam Play to play it on a phone. It's a mobile game at this point. 12 years later, we got this and much more in Path of Exile or any mobile hack n slash, really.
It's Sacred, if you remove the peculiar skill tree.

It's so barebones that everytime I felt something was missing I asked myself "was it essential?" and if the answer was "no", I understood why it wasn't there.

An absolute travesty and abomination, there exists a distinction between disliking a game due to its elements and being genuinely angered by it. Despite enduring a few play sessions, the game failed to launch after the 5th or 6th attempt. To elaborate, it would initiate with a brief introduction of the studio's name only to abruptly display a message stating, "Game settings are not compatible" or something of the sort. Despite scouring various forums, a viable solution eluded me. It seems reasonable to anticipate such issues with a 2012 game in 2024, a time when hardly any player would have dared to engage with it earlier. It appears this game might not be designed to function beyond the Windows XP era. My advice: either transport yourself back to 2012 or steer clear of purchasing this game.

Отличная игра если хочется просто побегать в старенький слэшер не сильно углубляясь в сюжет, не читать тонны текста и не осваивать супер сложные механики. Зашел, поиграл одну точку вечерком и вышел. Я вот в 2024 не ждала от игры чего-то сверхъестественного.
Если из замечаний по части механики - не знаю как у других, но у меня выпадало достаточно лута, но по большей части это был не мой класс, либо найти что-то лучше твоего не так просто. Продавцы продают либо мало, либо не моё. Хотя используя умения не так критичны твои так себе шмотки.
В общем как уже писала для просто - побегать поубивать - зашла отлично. Не помню сколько она мне стоила, но свою цену оправдала.

würde gerne einen daumen geben für mittel schade das es das noch nicht gibt . game an sich ist ok bis her gibt verschiedene gegner hat einen gewissen schwierigkeitsgrad und schurke ist recht unterhaltsam zum spielen.

allerdings das menü geht bei mir nicht ohne das ich den controuler nutze , pfeiltasten w s a d geht alles nicht , aber controuler geht bis jetzt er hat einfach aufeinmal aufgehört zu arbeiten bei dem spiel , er geht noch leuchtet etc . aber weder game ging noch als ich in game war noch das menü mal sehen ob ichs wieder zum laufen bekomme aber das ist warum ich daumen nach unten geben ,( nicht spielbar)

ARPG sencillo que a mi personalmente me ha resultado entretenido. Hay muchos comentarios negativos donde lo han tirado por el suelo y no estoy de acuerdo. Hay gente que esperaba el diablo 5 de este juego. Al precio al que vale (y en oferta está a un euro) yo creo que da lo suficiente. Tiene historia y se le nota un cierto trasfondo que se agradece y con una traducción perfecta. Yo lo catalogo como un juego de 6. Tiene cosas negativas como una poca variedad de enemigos y solo te permite subir 1 nivel por fase. Por lo demás cuentas con 3 clases con su árbol de habilidades (no es la gran cosa pero tampoco son 4 habilidades) y tiene varias misiones secundarias sencillitas a lo largo de las diferentes fases. Lo dicho, es un ARPG sencillito y que te da unas cuantas horas a cambio de un precio muy bajo. Y como detalle final es mi juego 100 completado en Steam, no le da nota a mi reseña pero es algo curioso que quería reseñar.

Positives:
Simple hack-and-slash, no bugs, no glitches.
Small short easy linear maps (from 5 minutes to 20 minutes).
3 typical RPG classes: warrior, wizard, rogue.
No annoying bosses with tough mechanisms.
You can possess elite mobs to kill other mobs.
Typical clear top-view of many RPGs.
+-10 hours for each class to complete the game.
Difficulty levels.

Neutrals:
Ambient music was OK (but repetitive).
Very few texts and conversations.
Mobs spawn out of thin air, it can make sense for some chtonic mobs, but for normal races it was just a cheap trick to alleviate the game engine (imho), but it's fun to fight them.

Negatives:
Story and lore are quasi inexistent, Steam achievements are broken (finished the game with 3 classes and didn't receive the relevant achievement), some item and lore names are ridiculous "Northern, Southern, Western Realms", "Southern Gem", "Southern shield", etc. when you loot in the Southern Realm.
Side-quests didn't make sense for the most part and were super short.
You'll get good items that you can wear only levels later.
You'll get 1 level by map so you get very quickly your level with first mobs at the beginning of the map then the XP bar doesn't move at all until next map which was a weird decision.
Few different mobs models.
Very cliché: humans, elves, dwarves. Elves live in woods and use a lot of bows, dwarves attack you with pickaxes.

Conclusion:
Don't play it if you expect a super itemized epic adventure with a convincing universe, deep lore and fantastic complex skill progressions, but if you want to relax and kill monsters on small linear maps without puzzles or big annoying bosses and don't bother about complex skill trees, just want to have fun and try the 3 archetypal RPG classes, then I recommend it. I envoyed it, finished it with 3 classes and I rate it at 7/10

Очень сложно игре релизиться в 2012 году, одновременно с Diablo III и Torchlight II, но это не самая главная проблема.
Однообразные бои, отсутствие классических механик для данного жанра, скучный и неинтересный геймплей - это все RAW.
К сожалению испытание временем не пройдено.

Es un juego mediocre , un arpg simple sin muchas posibilidades de build ni de equipamento . El endgame no existe , una vez te pasas la historia se acabó , no hay posibilidades de seguir buscando muchos mas items . Es un buen arpg para los que comiencen en el género pero no lo recomiendo si buscas algo estilo diablo . Mi resumen es que es un matabichos simplón, esta bien para pasar el rato en coop con algún colega.

ハクスラ……ではなく、ステージクリア型見下ろしARPG。3人のキャラクターから1人を選び、1ステージ15～30分ぐらいのボリュームのステージで大量に湧く敵を処理しながら進んでいく。残機制で、ステージ中で残機がなくなると最初からになるが、取得した経験値やアイテムは受け継がれるため、厳しいなと思ってもある程度ゾンビファームは可能。装備(特に防具)はドロップより一部地点での店売りの方が圧倒的に高性能なので、途中からドロップ品はアクセサリーぐらいしか使わなくなる。ハクスラを期待していると、その辺は肩透かしを食らうことになるので注意。
難易度ノーマル/キャラクターはウォーリアーで、7時間弱でクリア。サブクエや探索もしながらなので、マラソンすればもう少し早いかもしれない。実際経験値は少し余った。(Lv[spoiler]28[/spoiler]が恐らく最終装備っぽい)
スキルモーションが敵の攻撃で潰されることや、装備が揃うまでは耐久力、スキルが揃うまでは殲滅力がそれぞれ著しく足りないため、序盤はかなり厳しい。一方でスキルで[spoiler]特殊耐性[/spoiler]を上げたり、アクセサリーで[spoiler]ライフ吸収[/spoiler]が付いたりしてからは攻撃スキルを順番にスパムするだけで特に死の危険もなくクリアまで進められた。そんなに幅があるゲーム性ではないので、味が薄くなってくる後半をサクサク進められるというデザイン自体は良いが、おそらく意図されたものではなく、純粋にバランス調整が下手という説が濃厚。
一応一部の中ボスに憑依出来るという独自要素があったりするが、設定的にもゲーム的にも微妙なところで、取って付けた感は否めない。FPSの車両パートぐらいの気持ちで触れば良いと思う。

10年以上前のマイナーな？ゲームということもあり、色々大味だが、サクッと遊べるゲームとしては悪くない。何かで手に入れる機会があれば週末にでも遊んでみても良いと思う。

1つだけ注意点があり、スキル取得画面で「長押しで発動」となっている派生スキルはコントローラー操作の場合の話で、キーボード操作の場合は「Shift＋スキルボタン」での発動となる。元のスキルとCDを共有しないため、1ptで取れるスキルとしては破格の性能なので、使い方が分かるようになってから急に元気になった。

Bad controls. Attacks are often not hitting enemys but the air beside them. Runing seems to have some kind of chopping in it.
Skills often don't activate. No Mini-Map. Transactions with traders are a hassle.
These are the bare minimum for a solid ARPG, but R.A.W. does not meet them.

I had a bit of fun playing the game for the first hour, but the shortcomings got more and more obvious with each minute.

My rating 4,5/10, not recommended.

RAW - Realms of Ancient War (2012)

So this is one of those games that should be a negative review, but i'll say I enjoyed this game so i'll give the game the benefit of the doubt.

Realms of Ancient War is a hack and slash game, comparison to games such as Titan Quest, Diablo and Torchlight. You can choose from one of three characters to play as, the most basic bread and butter of classes - The Warrior, who likes big weapons and armours who likes to take the fight to the enemy, The Rogue, who likes to sneak around and attack from the shadows with daggers and The Mage, who favours the arcane arts like fire and lightning to destroy enemies. All three of these classes are fine to play as. They perform the role they wish to perform to fit the chosen playstyle. You can level up and choose from new abilities and passives, some unique per class and some universal ones everybody has access to.

RAW is a very basic game. Very, very basic compared to these games. I can say if you want to improve the game, borrow elements from the other games. For example, if you enchant your weapon with fire damage, you don't actually do fire damage in the traditional sense like damage over time like you would expect. I'm pretty sure the enchantment only added a base extra flat damage to your current damage. There is legendary gear in the game but the game doesn't actually tell you something is legendary, you kinda just have to hope you get something. Not even the unique named weapon I found with the warrior was a legendary, it was just a random normal weapon. The weapons and gear are pretty basic, nothing amazing or writing home about.

The story of the game is fine, no real complains there. Now lets get down to it. I see people call this game boring and generic. While I don't like to call something generic in general, I prefer to call this game basic. It's a very basic hack and slash game. Basic classes with weapons and armour to complete the jobs with, basic skills, nothing super mind blowing or unique. Now yeah you can see this as generic, but this game released the same year Diablo 3 released - A game that was so heavy hyped up it was unbelievable. It would take any company balls of steel to release a hack and slash game in the same year Diablo 3 released, no matter who you are. This is why I call this game basic - it feels like a company's first attempt at a hack and slash game and I like the game for that. There is effort in this game - the world looks very nice, small details can be seen everywhere you look and the end credits got amazing concept art. Each playable character looks unique. The game can be seen as stiff in the movement and weapon attacks, but I don't think that's really a problem - look at Diablo 2 - That game is stiff by today's standard but its still highly enjoyable (and er, well better then this game lets be real).

Now of course there are some glitches as the game ain't polished very well. My most notable problem was with the rogue who sometimes failed to register a command and tried to get to a target instead of attacking, costing me my life. The last achievement is also bugged and won't unlock (complete the game with all three classes). There are solutions for this achievement on the Xbox, but that trick doesn't work on Steam. A real shame. This game was made by a studio called Wizarbox - this was their last game as they closed studio in 2012, so a fix for the game will never exist unless some crazy smart fans make a patch happen but I feel this game is lost to the ravages of time.

So to sum things up - I enjoyed this game, the basic gameplay, classes, story and abilities are fine but nothing game changing. If you want to experience the last game of a closed company, it's a fine game to kill a few hours. But i'm gonna be real here - Torchlight, Titan Quest and Diablo kicks this game ass. Of course i'm gonna recommend those games instead.

Un diablo del montón, no es malo, pero sus fallos hacen que le cojas cierta tirria, el control y los ataques son muy ortopédicos y fallan mucho, en ocasiones el protagonista se atasca en el escenario y no puedes ni protegerte ni atacar ni curarte y te toca morir porque si. La historia es del montón, no se hace demasiado interesante, la verdad que mejorando ciertos aspectos y problemas podría haber sido un juego que no esta mal, pero odio morir por culpa de los bugs. Prueva otro juego, este es jugable, pero no hay nada remarcable en él.

О. наконец то я нашел слэшер о котором всегда мечтал, линейный,без всяких заумных диалогов и раздумий какой навык вкачать первым, прост как две копейки. Единственное что я не понял, это зачем авторы так замудрили со смертью, и это в СЛЭШЕРЕ, между прочим, то есть там можно умереть определенное количество раз а потом игра начинается вообще с нуля!Да блин, даже в рогаликах у тебя остается хоть что то из прошлого прохождения, а тут вообще ничего, в слэшере, в ЛИНЕЙНОМ слэшере. Повезло мне что это со мной не случилось, поэтому и прошел игру до конца, чего и вам желаю))

Spulciavo nella libreria e ho ritrovato questo titolo, mi son detto "uh che figo un gioco stile baldur's gate dark alliance" avendo solo un paio di ore di gioco magari non gli ho dato il giusto merito...lo reinstallo, ci gioco un oretta e poi capisco perchè l'ho disinstallato subito.
Tutti i reparti sono mediocri (combat system, sound,gamplay, storyline scialba e senza contenuto) dalle immagini sembra figo ma non lo è

I just completed the game on my first play through with the Warlock. This is a good game. Is it ground breaking? An instant classic? Noteworthy in any way? Maybe not to most people. But what matters is for folk who just want a hack and slash dungeon crawler where you can play coop with a friend on the couch with some controllers and not have to have two machines, two copies of the game, etc. It's a solid couch coop slasher. It's a simple game. It's not hard, so "non gamers" can play this and not be frustrated. You could play through with a small child and both have fun. It plays a lot like Diablo 3 and Gauntlet.

TL;DR: Couch coop slasher that is worth $5 (or the $1.25 it is on sale right now, good lord, less than coffee!)

[b]Техническое исполнение:[/b] без нареканий. Порой мобы чуть застревают в хитросплетениях местного «забора», но игру это не ломает.

[b]Графика:[/b] красивая. Художник неплохо поработал: рукотворные локации, разные биомы, монолитная обстановка, добротная экипировка и умеренные спецэффекты. Всё перечисленное радует глаз во время путешествия по тесной «кишке-тропке» до очередной крошечной «арены». Справедливости ради замечу, что не все карты такие – есть побольше – но видеть их вы будете редко. А вот воображения создателям не хватило: понадерганные из других проектов монстры, шаблонные расы и боссы к вашим услугам (мне пришла на ум серия «Heroes of Might and Magic»). Авторы так и не смогли создать уникальный стиль (они пытались, судя по эскизам). Напоследок, анимации - скудное количество при достаточно сочном исполнении.

[b]Звук:[/b] качественный. Четкие звуки на фоне еле слышимого эмбиента. Безликий оркестр - стереотипное сопровождение всех проходных фэнтези. После двух часов игры Вы его даже замечать перестанете. Актеры озвучания славно охают и стонут – всё население, кроме шаблонного рассказчика, не произнесёт ни единого слова.

[b]Сюжет:[/b] элементарный. Есть абстрактное Зло и чистейшее Добро. Ну и вы, кто болтается посредине, выступая в качестве затычки в каждой дырке. Наш протагонист, позабыв свои личные цели, мчится стремглав на помощь Свету. Безразличные к вселенскому горю обыватели требуют немедленного решения местечковых эгоистичных задач. Разные нации, животные и прочие существа полюбовно уживаются друг с другом и кучей бьются против вас. Чтобы заключить мирный мир вы сначала вырезаете всё живое, лишь затем мило беседуете с наместником территории. Никаких интригующих историй, загадочных личностей или гадких подробностей – только серость, посредственность и репетативность.

[b]Геймплей:[/b] скучный. И это приговор. Я готова смириться с промахами во всех остальных пунктах, но тут! Попав в шкуру крайне неповоротливого героя, вы будете монотонно уничтожать малочисленных обитателей лесов, пустынь и городов с помощью двух кнопок (оставшиеся будут заняты защитными и поддерживающими умениями). Всё. Никаких комбинаций способностей, уворотов в последний момент, контроля толпы. Резво врубились в орду, в надежде разбросать ошметки кишок по полу – никто не умер, а вас запинали ногами в отместку. Не меняет ситуацию ни другой класс, ни «педальная» прокачка, ни «+5 к силе» в графе брони. У всех особенных противников внушительное здоровье, две атаки с гигантскими перерывами между и тупая тактика. На высокой сложности процесс еще больше замедляется, отнимая и без того скромные осколки задора.

Difficile de dire que c'est un excellent jeu.
Chaque petit plus est balancé par un petit moins.
Pour un hack/slash clone de Diablo fait par une petite équipe française, y a de bonnes idées.
On arrive quand même à bout assez facilement sans avoir particulièrement envie d'y rejouer.
La jouabilité à la manette est un plus indéniable.

Classes classiques, la sainte trinité, Corps-à-corps, distance et magie.
Compétences classiques mais qui vous amèneront à la fin du jeu.
Equipements qui n'apportent que des bonus de stats. Aucune variété pour faire différents builds.
Graphiques sympas, sans s'exclamer à chaque écran, on sent la variété des environnements.
Level design très intelligent par moment même si on retombe ensuite sur des couloirs plein de monstres.
Système d'incarnation inutile, pas d'intérêt particulier. Une différence qui aurait pu démarquer le jeu par rapport aux autres.
Le bug du dernier succès aussi mais bon réservé aux complétionnistes.

Au final, un jeu sans prétention qui vous prendra quelques dizaines d'heures et qu'on n'oublie ensuite.
Quoi demander de plus. A voir en multi ou remote si cela apporte un plus.
