A beautiful, flawed, tedious, awed game.
The world spoke to me, for a little while.
What hit me hardest was the credits.
Qora draws many parallels between its friendly townsfolk and the mythical creatures encountered throughout. It builds this community around you, even as you spend most of the game in relative solitude. And that community was present in the credits.
Hundreds of Kickstarter Backers scrolled past. Each one with a name, and a little message. Some were links to social media profiles, but many were a little something personal.
"Good Job Holden!" "Do I have to put something here?" "Was Here" "Elf-Friend" "Hello World" "Happy to help with this great project." "I might be weird but that's just who I am". "Stay hungry. Stay foolish." And many more.
And seeing all of that raw support and humor, from a few hundred people, eleven years ago, supporting a solo dev in making a little piece of art...

Buy this game on sale, and let yourself transport back in time and far away for a couple of hours.

一个走路模拟器做成像素游戏本身在重点的画面方面就难以表现，音乐还基本都是糙厉的古早电子味，文本对话更是老套乏味毫无新意，和地图的互动就是不停向前机械地爬上爬下跳跃开路。
要是不光是看，也能切实加一点互动改变过去，然后影响现实世界，那就好玩多了。

Played on my Steam Deck OLED (SteamOS). Installed on a Micro SD card – zero technical issues; ran perfectly on Linux.
THE GOOD:
Gorgeous pixel art – Every screen is a surreal, painterly masterpiece.
Hypnotic lo-fi soundtrack – Perfectly sets the mysterious, dreamlike tone.
Charming characters/dialogue – NPCs are genuinely amusing and worth engaging with.
THE DRAWBACKS:
Excessive walking – Gameplay feels thin and tedious. Exploration lacks engagement.
No native controller support – Had to map Steam Deck controls manually (keyboard layout works, but native Deck/controller support is badly needed).
VERDICT:
Qora is an audiovisual gem with a haunting atmosphere, but its slow pace and minimal gameplay lost my interest before the end. I still recommend it for patient players seeking a short, story-driven experience over action. If you love ambient exploration and stunning pixels, it’s worth a look – just don’t expect gripping mechanics.
Note to Devs: Please add native controller/Steam Deck input support!

I'm well versed in walking simulators, in slow meditative "game" experiences, and it feels like this attempt misses the mark. The tone is strange, starting off sarcastic and legitimately funny, but then forcing a player to slowly plod across vast, empty, although admittedly beautiful landscapes. I just got the vibe that there wasn't much there.

Qora is a quaint adventure game with an interesting mystery story to experience that takes an unexpected comedic turn, its also quite short paired with a slow relaxed pace I assume is meant for us to appreciate the beautiful pixel backgrounds and atmosphere of its world. There is very minimal gameplay and there are interactions such as talking, jumping, and removing obstacles from time to time, I would almost call it a walking simulator but there is a little more to it. It is understandable when you see it as a more artistic game with storytelling in mind.
Achievements aren't the easiest to complete as you will need to keep on your toes and peer through the other side often not to miss anything, there is also a secret to find for the achievement.

Whoever tagged this game as a platformer obviously doesn't know what a platformer is. This is a walking simulator with some platforms in it. And it's a very sloooow walking simulator. If either of those things are going to be deal breakers, don't buy this game.
Despite this, I did enjoy this little game. I loved the art and the world that was created here. Lots of creativity on display. I doubt I'll ever go back to it, but it was a nice 3 hours spent exploring the world of Qora. I played through two times to get all the achievements, but you can finish the game/explore just about everything in 90 mins. Just don't go into it expecting gameplay more complex than 'occasionally hit the space button.'
Not really a game. Barely even a walking simulator. There's also a missable achievement that requires you to redo the whole game.

这个是个非常安静的游戏，静下心来玩一段时间会觉得心境平和，很治愈。
小人走得很慢，需要边走边劈开拦路的树丛、石块（筚路褴褛，以启山林），每次爬上台阶给佛像上香都看起来很吃力，但这种设定恰恰体现了人类在大自然面前的渺小，彰显了天地之广阔。
这是我见过的动作做得最灵动的像素游戏，两只鸟在空中追逐嬉戏，小人在地下湖游泳一下一下蹬腿，都做得特别真实。
评分实在太低了，好游戏被埋没了，可惜。

Например, Я два раза полностью проходил Axiom Verge, так что графика, сама по себе - для меня не краеугольный камень в игре. Но вот сочетание максимально простой квадратной графики с абсолютно примитивным геймплеем(идти в одну сторону, иногда нажимая говорить или активировать что-то) и слабым повествованием сделало для меня эту игру неинтересной. Речь именно о повествовании, а не самой истории. Тем более за эту цену. Жаль, в целом, но как и написал тут другой человек - замечательная вещь для коллекционирования достижений. Не более того.

zen and nice little story
I was reading a thread yesterday about the worst games people had played and this game was mentioned. The minimalist art style and odd name stuck out enough to make me look into it more, which made me realize I had this in my Steam library. Calling this a pixel art platformer is generous... Generally speaking, Walking Simulators are carried by their writing, and yet there's only hints of a story here that're told through flashbacks. Most of your time is wasted walking to the right, reusing repetitive jumping and climbing animations to navigate a literal straight line of an environment that purposefully pads out the non-existent gameplay. I'd say this is a bad game, but I don't think you can call something with no gameplay a video game.
This came out during the early pretentious farthuffer era of indie games, and oddly enough came out on Steam two months after Depression Quest. Surely there was no collusion with journalists to hide the fact that Holden Boyles pocketed the Kickstarter money for this, right? Let's look at the game review quotes on the store page:

This game has no story, no message, and no greater meaning. There are hints at previous civilizations throughout, but they're all terribly written and speak casually with modern slang. There's also several awkward references to books and movies in these flashbacks that stand out like a sore thumb (le heckin epic "THIS IS SPARTA!" kick!).

This game has zero RPG elements and almost no adventure elements. There's the illusion of freedom when speaking to NPCs in the starting village where they give you gifts for your journey, but they're all mandatory to continue the game. A few other gift objects and unique interactions happen later in the game but they're again necessary for advancement.
This non-game really shows that people would fund literally anything on Kickstarter back in the day. The pixel art is completely barebones and is basically Atari art but with more background layers and more colors. The music is incredibly basic and sounds like it was created and edited by a non-musician (the last track in the village doesn't even loop properly). There's no voice acting, the animation is poor, and the little writing that's here is terrible. I received this as part of a bundle of pixel art games back in 2015 and now that I look at the other games in the bundle I'm not sure why I bought it. This doesn't even qualify as a game as far as I'm concerned. Don't waste your money on this.

今天上班无聊，把这个小游戏通关了，没想到单位的垃圾电脑在躺上床的那一刻直接无响应死机了。真他娘的气人，不过也是终于通关了。就那么回事儿吧。
这个游戏最想吐槽的一点就是字体，本来就是英文，再叠加像素字体，纯纯的恶心人呢，看的我眼睛要瞎了。根本没心思读那些文本，可惜整个游戏的内容又是构建与文本之上的，你还选这么个鬼才字体，我真的谢你祖宗十八代。
再然后是走路的速度太慢了，经常按着方向键然后去看点别的，半天还没走到，而且有一些交互动作也很慢，让人怀疑到底发生了什么。
还有，由于像素画面的原因，有些关键点可能看不清。我已经非常仔细的过图了，但是全图唯一错过的一个佛像就是雪山那里，要通过房子的地洞下去的梯子那里，当时根本看不到那里可以砸开。我以为后面还有地方可以下去，等到错过之后想原路返回时，才发现有落差的地形不能跳了，我真的大写的服，从低往高跳可以抓住岩石边缘，堪比蜘蛛侠，从高往低跳就跳不下去了是吧。咋地，能摔死你丫的？

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Qora has the trappings of a game I should love and yet manages to be a monumentally terrible experience. First I'll say the overall aesthetic is pretty good, and there's the tease of a decent story in there. Unfortunately the good is overshadowed by nonexistent gameplay and an ending that completely kills the whole experience, like the creator wasn't brave enough to actually try to say something meaningful. Do not buy. Not even on sale. Save your money and your time.
Ever wanted to hold arrow keys while occasionally clicking space for several hours straight? Then I have the perfect game for you. I'm fairly certain I got the "game" for free and I still feel like I overpaid. Please give me the 40mins I spend on this "game" back. On the positive side art and music are good and unique.

While it is a nice 8 bit style game it is what it is for a 2014 game. It feels like a company's first project or one that wasn't ironed out completely.
Let's start with the cons:
- Story line is extremely basic. You: chosen one; why? Never really explained. The evil person is greedy and haughty; why? Also not explained very well. (It's a power grab but to what ends?)
- Controls are very basic and all actions requiring jump, climb or obstacles will notify you every single time with a ! above the characters head: for the entire game. Cut scenes are different, but once you leave the village I feel like the notifications about platforming should have stopped.
- Spoilers: [spoiler]The dialogue on the doors are the exact same every time regardless of how many previous doors you have opened. If I didn't "have the sight" the first door shouldn't have let me pass. This would have been a good time to provide some background lore![/spoiler]
- NPC dialogue is kind of lacking overall. There's a child talking about [spoiler]how they saved a baby bird but then it bit them so they fed it to a dog[/spoiler], and another guy saying [spoiler]he told his kids normal children play in the dirt so they don't ask for toys and video games[/spoiler] but the world we live in seems devoid of societal pleasures, however [spoiler]we own a tv, gramophone and have electricity in our house[/spoiler] despite one guy having [spoiler]a gorilla for a girlfriend[/spoiler]???
Pros:
- Short game especially if you're a steam achievement hunter. You can get all the achievements in about 4 hours with 2 play-throughs for both good and bad endings.
- The style is very retro and each new area was detailed and colorful (or lack of if intentional to tone).
However, I would not pay full price for this; wait til a Steam or Humble Bundle offer and get it for less than $3.
Amazing art, amazing music, very weak storyline, cringe level dialogue with worst attempts at humour, unnecessary stops with or without interaction between scenes... Sad, it could have been a great game.

Un viaggio rilassante in un mondo in pixel art essenziale, molto bello. Quattro tasti (anche d-pad e "x" su controller) per fare tutto quello che serve. Mi sono lasciato trasportare dal viaggio, lineare, durato poco meno di tre ore, e ho goduto di alcuni dialoghi/personaggi strambi e simpatici.

Authors tried to make it into game by making you very slowly walk throught different scenes and slow you down even more by adding different jumps/climbs and stuff. ~ The slow movement fits the ambience, though it gets annoying when having to backtrack. The repeated pointless interactions (chop down yet another tuft of grass / break yet another rock) don't help either.

- I wouldn't necessarily hate Qora's writing in another game, but here it clashes with the aesthetic atmosphere so badly. Edgy humour, toxic characters, random fourth wall breaking, ancient beings speaking like 21st century urbanites, just no.
- A sneakily tucked away object is needed for a missable achievement, that is then arbitrarily locked from backtracking unlike most other areas. And it's the achievement that unlocks the true ending; talk about hostile game design.
- Speaking of which, even if you do everything perfectly, you'd have to play the entire 2-hour long game twice if you wanted to get all the achievements. In visual novels at least you can skip the parts you've already seen. Here you'd have to trundle slowly through the same dozens of screens again with zero change until the ending.

As much as I like some aspects of it, I can't recommend this game. There are better ones out there that are either majestic or silly without trying to be both.

не знаю, почему многие относятся к этой классной игрушке плохо, как по мне игрушка стоит своих 25 рублей (по скидону), как минимум на один вечер ее будет более чем достаточно. Игруха не калл это точно, сюжет интересный как минимум, основанный на хоть и примитивной, но философии, так же присутствует довольно большое количество юмора (в некоторых моментах меня улыбнуло), вдобавок игра является визуально бомбовой. Моя личная оценка 9/10 (-1 за душные моменты где надо много прыгать и рубить траву)
Qora is a beautiful and surreal adventure game that takes players on a mysterious trip to stunning landscapes. The game features gorgeous pixel-art graphics and a wonderful low-fi soundtrack that perfectly punctuates the setting. The world of Qora is full of intrigue and mystery, and the story is an absorbing, story-driven experience that will leave a lasting impression. The characters are charming and the dialogue is genuinely amusing, which makes players want to speak to every NPC. The mystical power that players can harness in the game adds depth to the exploration and adds to the secrets hidden within the valley. With multiple endings, Qora offers replayability and a reason to explore the game all over again. Overall, I highly recommend Qora to fans of adventure and exploration games, as well as anyone who loves beautiful, atmospheric game worlds.
How do you review a game that has no gameplay and (practically) no narrative? When all that is left is art and music?
All I can attempt to do is align expectations. Qora is a walking simulator with nothing but walking (and the occasional grass/rock cutting) to do. There is no other reason to play this game than its atmosphere, a serene and quiet journey.
But there's another story to tell about Qora, or perhaps it is about [b]Spirit[/b], its name when it launched on kickstarter. To be frank, a lot more was promised than is present:
"A whole new system of puzzles and levels will be added into the game, just for some extra depth and gameplay. Also, we will release the game for linux, blackberry 10, windows 8/phone 8!"
"We will create a sequel to the game! There are lots of mysterious left unsolved in the Spirit story, all of which would be revealed in an equally exciting expansion pack."
The "puzzles" are cutscenes and the linux and mobile ports never came to be. There's no sequel.
There seems to be a tragic backstory to Qora's development between the lead/artist Holden and the programmer Cip, detailed on the kickstarter, but that's not my business. The truth is, this game did not deliver on its promises.
Beautiful pixel art, lovely music. Little gem for those who like retro-like indie games and appreciate "different" games. But don't expect too much to happen on the way, just enjoy the trip.

"Omg the characters and music and atmosphere and art and story were soooo good!" no they were not.
The music? Ass. 5 seconds on repeat, got irritating as hell after the first hour and a half of holding right.
Characters? Bland. Cut and dry and cliché.
Story? Middling at best. Emperor wants to get rich and powerful and then disappears at the end.
Atmosphere? Fine. Boring as hell because of the speed and movement.
Art? Fine, occasionally it would be moderately pleasing.
That is the whole game.
Despite the solid soundtrack and frequently lovely visuals, I can't recommend this game as it doesn't live up to the haunting spiritual journey store description. I wanted to like it, I really did, but there are two different games here and they don't play well together. There's one that wants to be a thoughtful spiritual exploration and another that wants to be snarky and nod towards the fourth wall, and not only are neither of them very fleshed out because of the length of the narrative, they're also awkwardly scotch-taped together without much thought about the huge tone problem this is going to cause. Comedy is exceedingly hard to balance with other types of narratives, and it isn't handled at all well here. The npcs you speak with may as well have "OMG I'm so QUIRKY" floating above their heads, and this heavy-handedness yanks you out of any awe and mystery the aeons-old vistas are intending to inspire. Once you're on your journey it settles back in to encouraging you to contemplate the ages for a while, but whenever the ancient royal cavalcade you're following with your second sight starts talking, the whiplash of attempted quirkiness snaps you out of it. [spoiler]The story of an ancient queen who burned through her followers to reach the source of an ultimate power could have been compelling if not for every cutscene with speech, as the dialogue made the queen and company sound like a third-rate Disney villain with the requisite whiny henchmen. The power-mad despot who throws a sacrifice down a well is immediately backed away from and becomes a low-rent Scar/Yzma/etc dramatically eye-rolling about how they're SURROUNDED by IDIOTS. [/spoiler] It's impossible to sustain the sense of age and awe the game clearly wants you to feel when it undercuts itself with [i]komedy[/i] at every opportunity. And, as another reviewer noted, the ending is so komedic it cheerfully flips off any kind of philosophic musings the rest of the game might have inspired in you. It's two very different games jammed in a Get Along Shirt with predictably jarring results. The developer should have made two games to allow themselves to explore two very disparate concepts properly. Instead it was all mashed into one game that leaves players looking for a thoughtful experience unsatisfied.
Excellent narrative exploration adventure! Loved how atmospheric and immersive it can get with resources so limited! I had almost a constant sense of wonder. Enjoyed each second of it!

Qora is more of a 2D walking simulator than a game, but its pixel art, music, story and atmosphere make it a satisfying and relaxing experience.
It’s mostly linear, and only lasts for a few hours, but has a lot of achievements and the perfect ending gives a lot of extra goodies at the end.
I enjoyed it, and can recommend it on sale, as long as you don’t expect a typical gaming experience.
Beautiful art and music, but absolutely no gameplay whatsoever. No meaningful decisions to make. No exploration. Just a linear path and some cutscenes. It was a long time ago but it still quite irks me that I spent ten dollars on this.

一部有着浓厚寓言风格的、以探索为核心玩法的、以剧情为核心卖点的，像素风步行模拟类游戏。
本作是一部于2018年成功完成众筹，并且获选“我们喜爱的专案”奖项的游戏：

有趣的是，在众筹阶段，本项目的名字叫《Spriit（灵）》，但是实际完成的版本名为《Qora》。这个名字，可能有两个来源，

[*] 第二个词源，来自《圣经·民数记 16》。其中，以色列的利未族的子孙，可拉（Qorah），因为聚众反叛，被神降下地裂天火之刑消灭。

考虑本作的主题、以及我自己对本作的私心与喜爱，我私下将本作译为《可拉记》。并且录制了配有中文字幕的完整游戏流程，希望能将这部美好的作品，以另一种方式分享给尚不知道它的人。

本作的流程其实并不长，完美通关约2个小时左右。做完本作的中翻视频后，我粗略统计了一下，按译文文本来算，本作的文本量大概一万字左右。然而，游戏因为以下原因广受诟病，其中就涉及到对游戏流程的指摘：

🔘 游戏节奏慢的问题，其实并没有那么严重。至少，玩家全程不需要重复跑图。对于深受日式RPG“毒害”的玩家而言，这种程度上的慢节奏、还算可以接受。

➕ 游戏的叙事手法、有一定的水准。作者巧妙地通过叙事方式、在游戏过程里埋下了一些悬念，让本作的剧情有了一定的文学性。
➕ 游戏的整体风格温柔可亲。主题中正平和、音乐舒缓应景，在游玩过快节奏、高难度的游戏之余，游玩本作也不失为一种放松。
➕ 游戏提供了成就，部分成就需要仔细探索才能收集到。完美通关之后，如果有错过的成就，大部分还可以通过传送装置回收。

接下来，本人还会再挑几个有趣的点、讨论一下本作的内容。大体上，本作不适合剧透。因此，如果以下评测存在剧透，会在每节的开头标明。
[h1]寓言？童话？还是先知文学？[/h1]
就像本人在开头所说的那样，本作带有鲜明的寓言、童话色彩，它的故事里其实蕴含者一种简单、但直达人心的道理。未免剧透，我也就不在评测里点明它了。但我要说的是，虽然本作的象征味很浓，但我认为本作并不只是一部寓言、或者说一部童话。相反，从本作的叙事手法，可以看出，本作面向的受众，并不是儿童。本作的悬念、，其实是由一些晦涩的片段作为钩子展开的。
大凡好的小说类文学作品，往往都擅于伏笔、暗喻、草蛇灰线。本作虽然不至于这个水准，但它的剧情里是有悬念的。玩家在游戏开头、就会被赋予看见[b]遗忘之国[/b]的能力。在这些碎片化的剧情里，有那么一些情节、相互串联，可以构成一个完整的故事。有趣之处在于，本作的玩家，更多地是扮演了一个[b]见证者[/b]的角色，而作为本作故事的真正主角，其实[b]隐藏在这些碎片化的小剧情里[/b]。这种写作手法，常见于《圣经》。《圣经》里不少书卷，往往用人物的名字来命名，但故事真正的主角，未必是用来命名的人物。相对地，这些出现在标题的名字，往往只对应着一位见证者、或者说一个故事的记录者。例如

再来看本作，就会发现，本作的主角，扮演的恰恰是一个“先知”的角色。什么是先知？简单来说，先知就好像神的传声筒，ta只负责按照神的旨意，将神想要向世人展示的东西，忠实地展示出来。游戏的开头，主角得到天授的能力，可以看见不属于现世的[b]“遗忘之国”[/b]，这就是一种得到“神授使命”的表现。而整部游戏里，作者经历了梦幻一游，甚至亲身来到了“遗忘之国”中。藉着ta所看见的事，将本作想要传达给玩家、或者说观众的内容表现了出来。这就很有先知文学、乃至启示文学的味道。我无意于将主角所见的内容剧透、也无意于去仔细解读这些内容。这里特别强调这种“先知文学”的写作手法，其实是为了强调、本作的受众，[b]并非儿童[/b]。这种与《圣经》相似的写作手法，也让本作多少带上了《圣经》那种晦涩的味道。于是，不难理解，为什么会有玩家、无法享受本文的叙事了。
[h1]彩蛋？还是狗尾续貂？[/h1]

第二个不得不提到的要点，是本作完美通关的结局。这个结局，几乎没有受到玩家的赞扬，反而受到很多玩家的批评。因为它[b]硬生生地给一个看起来完美、自洽的故事，续上了一个无厘头的结尾[/b]。
[spoiler]大致来说，这个结尾分为两部分。第一部分，是众神向主角赠礼，不难发现，这里的这些“众神”，其实就对应了游戏的开发者们。每个画像、其实就是开发者的肖像。个人其实很不喜欢这种彩蛋。它不受欢迎的点有两个：[/spoiler]

[*] [spoiler]其一，它映衬出作者的自我定位。文艺界一般有两种创作者，一种将自己代入成“自己世界里的神”；另一种将自己代入成“一个世界的见证者”。显然，本作将“见证者”的身份给了主角，相对地，开发者自己就取了第一种创作手法，将自己代入到神的角色里。而我要说的是，这多多少少与本作传达出来的主题，是相悖的。[b]一个把“敬畏天命”写在主题里的游戏，不应该让作者占据“天”这个位置[/b][/spoiler]。
[*] [spoiler]其二，这种“让作者以一种游离于游戏剧情之外的方式、现身在游戏主角面前”的彩蛋，对游戏体验其实是一种破坏。简单来说，就是“出戏”。早年的一些日式RPG，例如《英雄传说3》，就做过这样的事，但在那些老游戏的重制版中，无一例外地删去了这类“彩蛋”，足以见得，这种内容对当今游戏界的审美而言、[b]已经可谓是不合时宜了[/b][/spoiler]。

[spoiler]这个结局的第二部分，是玩家走过一个类似“名人廊”的地方，看到墙上挂着四幅肖像、下面写着意味不明的内容。其实，这四幅肖像，对应着4个$100价位的众筹者。这段内容，是作者对众筹目标的许诺。[/spoiler]
[spoiler]从某种意义上说，作者这种行为，成功地做到了“讨好了众筹玩家、得罪了发售后玩家。”正常的操作应该是，给一个房间，玩家可以选择进去或不进去、然后里面放着众筹内容。又或者是，将这些众筹者画像，摆在游戏结尾名单里。而本作的这种做法，其实相当于强迫所有玩家去认识这几个众筹玩家，多多少少破坏了游戏体验。[/spoiler]
[h1]众筹兑现？还是没有兑现？[/h1]
这里就不得不提到本作的另一个、大多数玩家都没有注意到的扣分点。作为一部众筹游戏，作者在众筹目标里明确写到了一条：

本作的众筹，成功超过了$10000。但这个许诺，恕在下能力有限，没看到在哪里兑现。项目页面上展示的《续作概念图》，似乎并没有成为一部真正的游戏。虽然Kickstarter不保证众筹目标必定兑现，但这种结果无疑是很让人失望的，[b]也破坏了开发者的信誉[/b]。
那么，自《Qora》之后，作者的动向何在呢？我稍微搜索了一下。原来，《Qora》众筹的成功、让作者起了制作电影的心思。在众筹页面上，作者声称：“这是回归我的老本行”。然而，这场众筹可谓惨淡收场。这使得作者还是回到游戏行业上，并开始了另一款游戏《Torla》的众筹。在这两次众筹期间，作者承诺的“续作”终究没能兑现。
考虑到这些因素，尽管本作的游戏素质不错，但本人往后会慎重选择是否支持本作的作者。相对地、作者的游戏开发者生涯中，总共三次游戏众筹，[b]也就只有这次成功得到了玩家的支持[/b]。
挺难评价的。
本作是一个美术游戏，instead of 解谜、avg、平台闯关。游戏大部分流程都是在机械操作过场看风景。像素美术风格给个80分，好但没有好到令人震撼。也确实有走路过慢的问题，因为我是ce4倍速所以没什么感觉。
最大的败笔就是字体。全程大写已经相当对非英语母语人士不友好了，然后他还整了个像素字体给人玩图像识别，关键是他的graphic像素其实没那么大，风景都还挺细腻的，但是字体强行上大方块难上加难。
其次对话也太过废话了，主要指的是开头结尾。有评价说结尾风格不搭确实，结尾自以为很coooool的恶搞其实就是拉低游戏整体智商，本来挺空灵挺神圣的朝圣之旅给你整成了笑话。这种文本就是把游戏面向了小学生和没脑子的大人，给第九艺术抹黑。再说开头，本来就很难辨认的字体，开头强行拿道具让你去对话，开门杀穿地板了都。而且谁关心你大猩猩女朋友啊？
单凭看风景好的部分可以推荐，但是瑜不掩瑕。

I randomly found this game cheap in a Humble Indie sale for less than a dollar a couple months ago, and wow was this a charming indie to play through!
The story, characters, music, art style, and humor were all done really well. Sure the gameplay can get a bit repetitive with climbing or breaking something but it didn't detract from the experience for me. Its short and sweet and worth anyones time imo. I would say due to its short play time to wait for a sale, but the soundtrack price is def worth it.
Completionists be warned though you will need to replay the whole game or use another persons save to get the bad ending if you already got the good one. [spoiler] Since there is no way to go back to before lighting a shrine.[/spoiler]. So I recommend going bad ending first and then good ending. [spoiler] Easiest way is to light all shrines but the last and then do bad ending then good ending after. [/spoiler]

this is one super cool game
ローレゾウォーキングシミュレーター。
ひたすら遺跡のある風景を右に歩いていきながら、過去になにがあったかを「透視」して知る、みたいな（よくわからない）ストーリー。2時間弱くらいで１周できるけど、実績が半分ちょっとしか埋まらなかったから、ちゃんと全部の話を見るにはもう１周しないといけないんだろうと思う。…けど、ちょっともう１周しようという気にはなれないかな。キャラクターの動きがものすごく遅くて、特に障害（段差や草刈り、石の壁壊しなど）をクリアして進むスピードの遅さに常にイライラしながらゲームをしている感じになるので、やり直す気が起こりにくい。
あと、このゲーム、操作系の変なバグがいろいろ残ってる。
自分の環境では、Steamのコントローラー制御を外さないと起動すらしなかった。制御を外したらコントローラ（箱○コン）が使えるようになったんだけど、ゲームを進めていったらどうしても２つの制御が同じ場所でぶつかって、やりたい操作ができなくて詰んだ。で、いろいろ試行錯誤して、コントローラを外してキーボードで操作するようにしたら進むことができた。
そんなわけで、ゲーム性はなく、スムーズな操作ができずイライラするし、操作できなくなる系のバグがあったりするので、さすがにおすすめにはできないと思う。ローレゾ２Dで描かれる風景はたしかに他にはない美しさではあるので、それを見たい人はどうぞ。
It's a really fun game for the first 30 minutes or so, but it just gets extremely boring after that. It isn't worth the 10 euro's, but I got it for like 75 cents which is a fair price for the 30 minutes of fun.
It a positive rating because I really like the art of it and party of the storytelling.
However be warned - it's not really a game. All you do it press an arrow key until you get a prompt to press space once in a while. For that lack of gameplay there are too many screens where nothing happens. That would be ok if navigating the environment would be fun but it's tedious.
Short walking simulator, but with needlessly tedious obstacles to slow you down breaking rocks or jumping gaps or slashing grass because... it enhances the game... somehow?
This really could have been a good game... IF NOT FOR THE MESSED UP ASPECT RATIO!!
This game's aspect ratio is 16:10 and it CAN'T BE CHANGED to 16:9 in the settings.
And you cant really help it unless you have the option to change the display resolution in control panel (which I do not have).
I was really excited to play this game for a while so noticing that I can only play the game with text missing from the bottom of the text box or I can play it in a ratio that's a third of my screen without being able to make out what the text even says, I am disappointed.

The game's a'ight. It's pretty and the story's fine, just note that the most riveting thing you'll be doing is putting on a sweater one time. It is so, so, so slow. I highly suggest playing windowed with some videos open for one's own sanity : p
I could see how this game could come off as boring or disappointing. It is very limited in terms of detail and interactivity. If you come in expecting Hyper Light Drifter or Hollow Knight, you're going to be disappointed. But if you come in expecting a simple but charming indie game more like 90s Sierra adventure point-and-clicks, this will be an engaging experience, it just requires a little patience.

The story in this game is pretty amusing, I guess, but the pace of it is GLACIAL. The animations are half the speed they should be and the entire game is literally just a series of pressing space or the appropriate arrow key to do an action. You gather some supplies from the townspeople and then set out on a journey up this mountain to uncover the spiritual history of it. I spent literally like 2 hours completing the game and most of that time was just:
space to jump. watch a turtle-paced jump animation. space to jump. watch a turtle-paced jump animation. hit space to break rock. watch a turtle-paced mine animation. hit space to break rock. watch a turtle-paced mine animation. hit space to break rock. watch a turtle-paced mine animation.
If you found reading that boring or you skipped it as soon as you realized it was repeating, don't buy this game. I actually can't beLIEVe this costs 10 bucks. It is 100% not worth more than 2 or 3.
I think the most upsetting part of this entire game is that, after two hours of literally holding down the right arrow key to slowly walk from one side of the screen to the other, over and over and over again, with breaks to hit space or the up arrow and wait for an animation to play out, I'm finding out that there's one last achievement that requires a second play through. I'm about to lose my mind. I can't believe I have to play this again to complete the achievements. That was a huge d--- move on the creators' part :/
