From there you must find an underground facility and uncover horrible truth about what's really happening.

игра неплохая , но видно что ее делал один человек в 2015ом году . и сейчас наверное смысла играть в нее нету , потому что сейчас один человек может сделать куда больше из за новых инструментов.

Это игра, которую я бы назвал "классикой ужаса". В ней ты оказываешься на заброшенном морском побережье и должен выжить в окружении мертвецов и других не очень приятных персонажей. Графика хорошая, особенно если учитывать возраст игры. Разработчики сделали все очень детально и в меру жестоко. Падающие тела, разрывающиеся раны - всего того, что нужно для создания атмосферы ужаса. Атмосфера действительно отличная, я чувствовал себя страшно одиноким и беспомощным. Но иногда она чересчур пугает, например, когда мертвецы начинают кричать и убегают от тебя. Это немного неестественно для игры такого типа. Игра имеет свойство повторять одни и те же ситуации, что делает ее несколько скучной. Но это небольшое минус в сравнении с преимуществами. В целом игра мне понравилась. Мне нравится жанр survival horror, и эта игра точно соответствует ему. Играть приятно.

Расцвет жанра шутеров в ПК-играх пришёлся, как говорят, на конец 90-х - начало 2000-х годов. В этот период и далее жанр активно развивался. Были проекты, которые расширяли границы стрелялок. Были и такие, что заложили незыблемые основы симуляторов стрельбы по болванчикам. Но есть нечто такое во всех играх подобного жанра что нравится почти каждому. Это динамика, адреналин, и экстремальная жестокость к горстке пикселей посмевшей атаковать главного героя в лице игрока. Так вот, с момента этого самого пика спроса на шутеры прошло, на секундочку, четверть века. Немалый срок. И стрелялки эволюционировали, соединялись с другими жанрами, коллаборировали и занимались прочими непотребствами – всё лишь бы завлечь игроков. Поэтому в стиме или на просторах интернета можно найти много добротных игр с элементами пострелушек. Но Putrefaction, к сожалению, я добротной не назову.
Игра на момент моего прохождения откровенно топорная. Точки спавна врагов видно невооруженным глазом – болванчики просто появляются прямо перед тобой из пустоты. Это выглядит сыро. Уровни коридорные, а разветвления сделаны, чтобы положить в тупик коробочку (секретных) патронов. Есть парочка ничем не огороженных мест, с невидимыми стенами (и это-то в заброшенной базе внутри горы). Чекпоинты расставлены неравномерно: то половину уровня бегаешь без сохранений, то раскиданы в каждой комнате.
Скудная на развлечения игра. Взаимодействия с окружением нет. Приседания, бега и перезарядки нет. Разрушаемых объектов нет. Из оружия есть топор и 6 видов огнестрела. Всего 2 Босса. Есть возможность 1 раз покататься на грузовом фуникулере. В конце игры есть 1 кат-сцена не две-три секунды. Есть слабенький фонарик и альтернативный огонь на пушках (не слишком эффективный).
Сложность обеспечивается заскриптованными засадами большим количеством врагов. Вражин постарались сделать разнообразными, но игру постигла проблема всех стареньких шутеров. Глупые истуканы плохо ориентируются в пространстве и прут напролом. Благодаря окружению и непредсказуемости игрока всю сложность можно свезти на ноль. Это не претензия, просто странно, что её рекламируют как сложную.
Интересный факт, Putrefaction в переводе означает гниение. В игре есть красная и зеленая кровь, мясо и прочее. Но гниения я при прохождении нигде не увидел.
Игра Putrefaction из 2015 года выглядит как проходная стрелялка 2000-х. Поиграть можно (особенно радует цена), но ждать чего-то выдающегося от нее не стоит. Если есть желания поиграть в устаревший хардкорный шутер, то лучше установить что-нибудь ретро-культовое.. например, первый Serious Sam.
Разработчик молодец, если не умеешь делать освещение, то не делай его в принципе. Лучше никак чем плохо

eu não estava esperando muito desse jogo, mas quando joguei e zerei, acabei gostando bastante. apesar dos gráficos simples e da inspiração clara nos shooters antigos, ele carrega uma jogabilidade frenética. o aspecto gore é bem destacado e executado de forma competente, o que para um jogo de 2015 é bastante interessante, dando um charme retrô e ao mesmo tempo mantendo um clima tenso e sangrento.

I couldn’t finish this game the design is just too flawed, especially with certain enemy encounters. Overall, I don’t think it’s worth your time. The game is clearly inspired by old school shooters like Doom and Serious Sam, with wave based combat, a solid variety of weapons, and a decent soundtrack. The gore and atmosphere hit the right notes at times, and for the very low price point, some players felt they got their money’s worth. But the problems outweigh the charm. Levels quickly become repetitive and bland, offering little more than “kill wave after wave” with almost no secrets or variety. Enemies often spawn unfairly sometimes right on top of you and harder encounters feel less challenging than simply cheap. Bugs are frequent, ranging from getting stuck in the environment to framerate drops when too many enemies appear. The survival mode adds a bit of replay value but suffers from the same issues. Controls and camera design also drag things down. Excessive head bob, jerky hurt animations, and awkward recoil effects can be disorienting. Combined with stiff movement, it feels clunky rather than tight. The short campaign (just a few hours long) doesn’t help, since once it’s over there isn’t much incentive to come back. I do want to give the developer some credit I’ve heard good things about the sequel, and their later project Gedonia is a genuinely enjoyable RPG. That shows growth, even if this early effort misses the mark.
Don't even bother. Short, boring and ugly. Some typical bugs of that kind of junk like being stuck between some environment elements. Last boss really annoying. The only two good things about this game are some enemies animations and rocket launcher, it really has a punch.

Why yes, this game is difficult to finish. The levels are all linear tunnels that connect to big arenas. The enemies are missing half their animations. They teleport behind you. You run too slow to get away from them. The fact that the game is so dark would normally be a negative, but the levels are so butt fugly I'd call this a positive. The selection of guns are exactly what you'd expect. There is basically no AI.
There's only a couple hours of gameplay and again: only 2% have finished it. [i]Now[/i] do you see?

Even if by some miracle I'm able to finish this game it's going to be negative regardless. Very bland horror shooter with bad hit detection and mind-numbingly poorly designed boss battles, with no ability to save and repeat the same awful thing over and over again. Whoever designed this final boss should never make a videogame again it's complete poorly designed trash, hit detection is broken, freeze ray will not freeze the boss as it's supposed to, avoid at all cost.

Crazy how critical some of these reviews are for a $0.49 game (when it's on sale). I don't know what you were expecting for the price of two gumballs, but I was blown away at how much effort was put into such a cheap game. Cool guns, awesome soundtrack, dynamic enemies (that do indeed spawn out of thin air, but who cares), and genuinely creepy atmosphere. Definitely worth even a single, measly dollar.
This is very good, a quick game, but It is enjoyable for what it is. The game is very much inspired by doom, basically just go room, to room killing anything that moves. There are 2 boss fights, on that is a bullet sponge, and the other that has some strategy to it. Overall this is quiet good, and I am impressed.

Все великие начинали с чего-то. Наш любимый Олег Казаков не исключение. Видно проделанный путь, от "Putrefaction" до "Gedonia". Человек постоянно заигрывает с новыми жанрами, экспериментирует и становится лучше, как и его проекты. Мне приятно следить за его творчеством!
Согласен, в игре есть минусы: хромают динамика и экшн, левелдизайн недоработан и отсутствует русский язык. Последнее особенно странно, учитывая, что разработчик русскоговорящий.
Несмотря на косяки игры, я приятно провел время в игре вместе со своими друзьями!

Очередной золотой слиток, отрытый мною в залежах библиотеки в момент проверки игр на играбельность.
Геймлей - Классический олдскульный шутер в духе ранних doom/quake/serious sam. Линейные уровни, набор пушек, разнообразные враги, боссфайты, расчлененка - все как надо. Адекватный уровень высокой сложности. Из минусов - отсутствие возможности настроить чувствительность мыши (привыкается довольно быстро).
Аудио - Атмосферный эмбиент и отличные звуки стрельбы. Из минусов - отсутствие озвучки для некоторых мобов, из-за чего смерти возможны из-за того, что кто-то подкрался сзади.
Графика - Выдержана в стиле все тех же олдскульных шутеров, что отлично передает ностальгию. Локации разнообразны, цветкор хорош. Из минусов - В некоторых местах слишком темно, а настроек яркости нет. Последний боссфайт это вообще ужас - темная комната, по которой ходит черный дух и стреляет черными лучами.
Сюжет - Все как раньше - прибыли расследовать происшествие - устранили проблему. Классика.
Итог - Отличный олдскульный шутер, погружающий в детство жанра. Проходится быстро и на одном дыхании. К тому же еще и по смешной цене.

It's uuuuh... Kinda fine? I was going to recommend it but the last level and last boss are awful. The beginning is fun, but once the ghosts start to show up it gets pretty annoying.

Игра непростая(на инсейне) и выжить 20 волн - тоже непросто. Что-бы выполнить на все ачивки, нужно уметь всегда попадать в голову, здесь это не трудно. Геймплей в первой половине игры - скучный, дальше веселуха. Графика так себе, но всех можно разчленить. Оружия для такой игры здесь много и в конце игры очень хорошо придумана борьба с летающими душами с помощью фризгана, также в финальном боссфайте хорошо придумана борьба с боссом, боссфайт не прям-таки сложный, но интересный! СОВЕТУЮ ПРОЙТИ!

Far from perfect. Survival mode is ok for a couple rounds too see how far you can get... wave 22 and it becomes too hard.
The campaign is kind of weak and you literally see the enemies spawn, but for some reason I enjoyed this game. I played it on Extreme (Insane)? Difficulty and managed to beat it. It can get challenging, but definitely doable. Old school feel and worth the price on sale. Give it a try for $1 or so.

One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.

Apart from being stuck with deaths ehhh And I mean a lots of deaths.
Here's what it is.
It's a nice game. Talking more of it's got fantastic level design, a some atmosphere, nice weapons espacially rocket launcher and 2 special last ones. Shotgun was just like ok and u have some alternative attacks which is gladly on appropriate.
What so ever there are some bad things. Ehh spawns in front of you and behind your back clearly one step behind you this is stupid,painful and pissedful. And the second disadvantage is u can't fire alternative through open door it just gets blocked and didn';t even hit anyone in front of open door. If u fire normally it gets throught but not with alternative, stupid.
And again the last boss sucks. So many times I have died and I don't feel like playing this again but achievements says I do so yeah :D
Just give it a try it is so short thought but was maiden with one guy give him hug !

Oh, Putrefaction.
Do you like throwback shooters? Do you like horror games? Are you looking for a tasty blend of Quake-style gameplay with survival horror atmosphere?
Look elsewhere.
Movement is slow and choppy. You'll get stuck on geometry in the middle of a firefight. Enemy weaknesses are cryptic. Enemies clip into walls, getting stuck and making for difficult progression. Weapon feel and feedback is wrong somehow - the shotgun feels like a pop gun, and rockets have impressive explosions but little splash damage.
I got it on sale, and am willing to dive into the survival mode to chase a few achievements, but had I paid full price for this game I would be an EXTREMELY dissatisfied customer.
I remember a few people calling this an asset flip and playing it I can somewhat see why people would think that since the game does have this sort of "cheap" feeling to it in the presentation, weapon models (they have screens but are just static images), store asset enemies, etc. The environments and level design are pretty simplistic too and just act as arenas for you to kill all the enemies before being allowed to proceed.
But, I would be lying if I said I didn't have any fun as the guns do feel and sound good for the most part. I especially like the rocket launcher that felt like a mini nuke at times.
Plus the game is like a dollar. What can you even buy with a dollar these days. So there's far worse things to waste your time and money on.

Juego mezcla Alien y half life, corto, graficos decentes, musica y sonidos tambien, buena ambientacion, lore pobrisimo (hay una plata mundial como en el 2080 y por alguna razon eso se relaciona como con fantasmas y aliens, no se entiende nada).
Es basicamente un shooter comun, vas, disparas a bichos, sacas municion, avanzas y listo, solo eso con 2-3 bosses.
No digo que este mal, pero considerando que el juego es del 2015 y en caracteristicas se presenta como si fuera algo mas grande de lo que es... no se, te deja un sabor medio amargo, sobre todo porque en el final matas al ultimo boss y es como que reportas que hay bichos o algo asi, denuevo, pobrisimo el lore y corto en duracion.

I recently played Putrefaction and was pleasantly surprised by the game's fast-paced and intense gameplay. The game's horror elements, combined with its old-school shooter inspirations, make for a unique and thrilling experience. The variety of enemies, each with their own distinct behaviors, kept me on my toes and added to the overall difficulty of the game. The weapons were also a highlight, with a huge range of options available, from standard pistols and rifles to more exotic and mystical weapons. The boss battles were especially challenging and provided a great sense of accomplishment once defeated. I appreciated the absence of health regeneration, which made the search for med packs all the more intense. With two game modes, campaign and survival, there is plenty of content to keep players engaged.
The game's story, set in a near future where a new disease is causing horrifying transformations, sets the stage for an exciting and suspenseful journey. Players take on the role of a member of a special elite force sent to uncover the source of the disease and put an end to it. The abandoned base in the mountains, followed by the underground facility, provides a great setting for exploration and discovery.
In terms of system requirements, the game runs smoothly on my setup (Windows 7, dual core processor, 1 GB RAM, and 128 MB video card).

Сразу скажу, что все «Особенности» игры, которые перечислил разработчик на странице в Steam, являются преувеличением и поэту потенциальному покупателю не стоит на них ориентироваться.

[b] + Атмосфера. [/b] Локации в игре мрачные и гнетущие. Проходя компанию мне было немного не по себе. Этому способствует и музыкальное сопровождение, а также дизайн врагов. Затронув тему локаций, я сразу скажу, что никакой «запутанности» и «нелинейности» в них нет. Они представляют из себя кишку в прямом смысле этого слова. Некоторые из них просторные, но не более.
[b] + Геймплей. [/b] Основным занятием в ходе всей игры будет стрельба. Не скажу, что она вышла исключительно шедевральной, но для бюджетной инди-игры пойдёт. Врагов на локациях много, от попаданий они красиво и смачно разлетаются. А что ещё нужно от шутера. Аннигиляция супостатов происходит представительным арсеналом оружия (топор, штурмовая винтовка, дробовик, миниган, ракетница, энергетическая пушка, замораживающая пушка).
[b] + Хронометраж. [/b] Именно хронометраж я хотела бы выделить в качестве плюса. Игра пробегается буквально за 70 – 80 минут. За это время ты не успеваешь зазеваться и устать от сего творения.
[b] + Оптимизация. [/b] Игра на удивление хорошо оптимизирована. В последнее время, когда речь заходит о Unity, моя печка начинает необоснованно накаляться и выдавать печальные 10-20 кадров (хотя железо стоит достойное). Но тут всё работает стабильно, без просадок и расплавления комплектующих моего компьютера. Также хочу отметить, что ни одного бага за всё время я так и не видела. Где их нашли другие обзорщики вопрос открытый…..

[b] - Спавн врагов. [/b] Это настоящая ахиллесова пята данной игры. Враги появляются непонятно где. Это может произойти за спиной игрока, а может прямо перед его лицом. Вот и гадай, откуда они полезут. А если учесть, что наносят урон они будь здоров, то со временем это начинает раздражать. Из-за этого пункта непроизвольно повышается сложность.
[b] - Сюжет. [/b] Точнее сказать его отсутствие. В начале вам покажут 2 блока текста и всё (я серьёзно). Никакой мотивации у игрока нет.
[b] - Режим выживания. [/b] Это ещё одна «Особенность», которую разработчик упомянул на странице игры. Но лучше бы он этого не делал. Режим абсолютно не сбалансирован и продержаться дольше 10 волны очень и очень сложно.

The game is a very generic FPS, with some bugs (I fell into the infinite for no reason once), Unity pre-made assets, some funny physics, and a short campaign, but it's a cheap game and entertaining enough, so my review for it is positive.
Too primitive game. Boring gameplay. Ugly animations. There is no plot. Poor sound design. No any point to play it.

I mean the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game was only a dollar, it was pretty decent, you cant even get a cup of coffee for a dollar just saying... if you like Doom you will probably like it enough to at least beat it. Thats how the experience was for me. It only took a couple of hours to beat the campaign.

When I first booted up this game, I loaded survival mode. This is definetly NOT where the game shines, and it would arguably be better if it did not even have a survival mode because it leaves a bad first impression. It seems buggy too. The powerups that slow down time are annoying, and the slow movement speed that this game has makes it rather unfun to play the survival mode. Also why is there an enemy in survial mode that I did not even see in the whole campaign?
Anyways, this game is fairly decent in the main campaign. The biggest flaw to this game in my opinion, is that often times the game will spawn enemies behind you at a zone you already been at. So if you just backtrack a little bit, the enemies will spawn right infront of you and you can just kill them all. With that said, the enemy types are cool, especialy in the last few levels. The guns are decently satisfying, and the game has good originality with the freeze gun, energy gun and the secondary fire option on the shotgun. I really liked the last boss as well. I think the main "downside" to this game is that it wants to be a horror shooter, and thus introduces this slow movement speed. My biggest complaint is thus walking slowly and enemies spawning behind you. If those 2 things did not exist I would consider this a great game, but it is still decent and definetly worth a dollar during this sale. Just dont expect much of the survival mode as mentioned.

Has some bugs here and there but overall it's good enough and it gets the job done. Short and sweet too.

defently a very interesting and cool arena shooter with a short but interesting campaign good enemy variety weapons and some bossess the final boss was pretty cool and smart one i really enjoy it plus a survival mode to have some extra replaybility
Not the most fun FPS, in fact it acts more like an arena shooter than a typical FPS game.
It's short and enjoyable, although feels like a slog to finish.

A decent and cheap Painkiller inspired shooter, made by one person. If Painkiller is a whole cheese pizza, then Putrefaction is a mozzarella stick.

+ Good enemy variety.
+ Good weapon variety.
+ Weapons have good impact.

- Final boss is tedious.
- Limited mobility. Considering how fast certain enemies move.
- It's possible to get stuck in the environment with no way to get out unless you load the last save.

This isn't particularly a good game, but I feel like the dev accomplished what he set out to do with this game. I still enjoyed Putrefaction, just like enjoying bad movies.
Putrefaction is a fast paced first person shooter heavily inspired by the likes of Doom and Quake, albeit way worse, but still worth the price, if you enjoy Quake, Doom, and also happen to enjoy mediocre games, it's safe to say you'll get some enjoyment out of this.
You play as a killing machine operator tasked with taking out some virus blah blah blah, who gives a ꜱʜɪᴛ, you're here to ꜰᴜᴄᴋ ꜱʜɪᴛ up, run around and blast some fools in the face. The game includes 2 boss fights, the final one being a bit tedious, but I might just have a skill issue.
At this price I don't see why you shouldn't get this game, if you even get an hour of enjoyment you got your money's worth.
Also ꜰᴜᴄᴋ survival mode, it sucks ᴀꜱꜱ and it's just an RNG fest.
This game is like Doom but terrible.
The ai in this game is horrible, many of the enemies will just walk toward you in a straight line so you'll often see groups of enemies walking toward you in a straight line all lined up.
This game also has problems with enemies spawning on top of you.
At least this game has the option to invert the Y-axis on the mouse unlike a lot of other ♥♥♥♥♥♥ unity games I've played.
