played 3 tables won a few lost 2 that cost me everything and have to say the game is fun as long as you don't care about losing or take it seriously... that said, I have uninstalled the game and will never play it again because of how rigged it is lmao. anytime you have a tough odds hand (2 jacks in the sack and now a pair of 4s and a jack on the flop) just know some a hole with an ace is going to get 2 more for the last cards and out fullhouse you..... because of all my years playing poker I have never seen so many good hands and low pulls be beaten by the absolute garbage of a river they lay out for you........ Ok I'm done, so enjoy the game and remember... don't take it too seriously!

Overall, a good place to play poker with friends online (only time I play it).
I agree with a lot of downvoters that there's a large group of people, no matter what table you're at, that make absolutely mind boggling calls that ruin the game at times. Mainly people just going all in continuously until they leave the table, hand after hand after hand.... As a positive note, there is less and less when you go to higher buy in tables.
If you're looking for a refined single player experience, I would check out the WSOP official website.
But as a fun way to goof around, chat and play poker with buds? It's not a bad choice.
6/10 (only due to the community; game runs fine and as expected otherwise)

Game bugged in the tutorial. My player and the opponent just left the table and there was nothing I could do but ALT+F4. Had no control of my bets. All I could do was what was predetermined by the game. Not fun, and not recommended. Uninstalled.

This isn't a poker game; it's a rigged simulation designed to drain your wallet.
Rigged RNG: The "action flops" are constant. You’ll see Quads vs. Full Houses every other hand just to force players all-in. It ignores real-world statistics to keep the chip turnover high.
Abysmal Pacing: The animations are painfully slow. You spend more time watching avatars twitch than actually playing cards. It’s a total waste of time.
Pay-to-Win: The game pushes you toward microtransactions once the "algorithm" inevitably bankrupts you.
Bottom line: If you want a fair game of poker, stay far away from this trash. It’s a casino disguised as a game. Uninstalling.

definitions (compiled from Dto.proto into Dto.pb.cpp) that define the
game's entire network protocol. These schemas were extracted from the
shipping binary and reveal the following:

The protobuf schema is embedded in the shipping binary as a
FileDescriptorProto at binary offset 0x3d39ef0. It can be extracted
using standard protobuf decoding tools or by searching for the
string "RigNextDeal" in the game binary.

Great way to play poker online. You can sometimes get a read on people based on how long they take to bet, if they keep looking at their hand, noting aggressive / passive patterns, etc. Not like playing in real life, but a nice online alternative.

It's a decent game but with it being a free to play poker game the players tend to ruin it.
Playing ring games there is usually someone who always goes in every single hand and that does become tiresome to keep going against. The ranked mode is flawed as you can play with your friends and essentially cheat. Times when you do find a normal playing table the game is great.
Then you have the typical cash shop (Which baffles me as to my people are throwing money away on silly emotes and virtual chips when you could actually go play online poker for money. This should be a middle review if there was an option, there are good games sometimes but fairly often you get people just going all in constantly etc and it gets boring. So for that it makes it a negative.

This game would be good if you mixed the bronze and silver ranked player pool. Ranked is impossible because if you don't top 3 your first tourney of the season you're stuck in bronze where everyone just gives up and stops queuing thus resulting in you not being able to get into matches altogether. I just wanna play tourneys where people take playing with fake money a little serious because rank is on the line but i cant

Prominence Poker is a great vehicle if you want to practice your game against live opponents. It runs cleanly, no glitches, and it doesn't waste your time with unnecessary things. I don't think I've seen any cheating at all, including collaboration between friends. The game is kind of old, so it can take time to fill lobbies or tournament tables, but you just have to be a little patient. Great for learners and experienced players alike

Had a lot of fun with this game, but then an event caught my eye and I haven't been able to touch it since.
I had a good hand, likelihood of someone having better looked low, I went all-in. The guy with the most money at the table called me and beat me with a pair of aces. Fair enough, it happens.
Because I had busted I had to sit-out the next hand, but bought-in again. While watching, the first two cards the dealer put down were aces... weird.
Next hand, I got a pair of face cards. Things were looking VERY good, highly unlikely that anyone had a better hand. Again, I went all-in... and again, the guy with the most money beat me with a pair of aces.
The likelihood of that event occurring, guy has a pair of aces, dealer drops two aces as the first two cards of the three, and then AGAIN the same guy getting a pair of aces... it stands out too much. Something's not right, doesn't pass the sniff test. I adored this game while I was playing it but ever since that day I haven't been able to touch it, gonna have to go elsewhere for poker.

Poker is always more fun when I'm taking @Chunkyloverlantz's money.
This game is an online crossplay update away from me considering it an all-time video game. It's online free poker you can play with your friends for free with just enough aesthetic charm and customization to keep you smiling, except for the bad beats. Truly essential for any Steam library. My only concern is how the studio makes money, but maybe I should start picking up the slack in that regard
