Storyline

The game consist of 3 separate sub-games each based on a different existing painting or art-movement. Each sub-game has its own mechanics and story. The first sub-game tells the origin-story of abstract art (based on real events). The second sub-game is about relationships in an ever-growing diverse society. The third sub-game is an interactive poem about feeling homesick, that takes place in the mazes of New York City.

after playing through this game for a bit and seeing all of the various kinds of levels i really don't like it that much. there are 3 galleries with 3 different kinds of puzzle mechanics however I only ended up liking The Style gallery's gameplay. The Boogie Woogie gameplay seemed really unintuitive, especially as you keep playing when it attempts to add more mechanics on. It ended up becoming more confusing and frustrating as I kept playing. The last one (i dont even remember the name) just felt really boring compared to the others. Kind of a shame, I really liked Please, Touch the Artwork 2 and I do like the minimalist geometric artworks here but the gameplay was not it for me.

音量調較係冇問題，問題係顯示出嚟嘅音量值與實際音量唔相等。不論玩家調較大聲或細聲，雖然當下顯示出嚟音量值同實際音量係冇問題，但只要切換到前台畫廊或者其他畫廊，音量值就會喺實際音量不變嘅情況下，自動默認顯示原本嘅位置。

此外正在制作的第三季已经预告以爱德华霍普为主要风格元素，再没有比这更令人期待的事了。

Is this even a puzzle game? The only semi-challenging section was "the line" and even then calling it challenging is overselling it. I found this to be so dull. Each section is way too long for both its themes and gameplay aspects, with "New York" coming in first place as the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea anyone's ever thought of. Some have found this relaxing, but honestly this was the most frustrating thing ever. If you're gonna tell me an emotional story, I need the setting to help me absorb it and this didn't do anything for that to happen. Also why is the second game so wildly different? And also so so so so much better?

妈，原来我真不是学艺术的料。
有趣的关卡设计，玩法非常巧妙地结合了系列艺术作品，并且有一定的递进变化。可惜连玩几十关后，有一种我挠破脑袋反复重开结果还是屎上雕花脱裤子放屁般平面构成作业的既视感。

So ganz steige ich hier noch nicht durch.
Ich habe zuerst das kostenlose Spiel "Please Touch The Artwork 2" gespielt und fand es direkt großartig. In der Vorstellung, dass der erste Teil ähnlich sein würde, hatte ich mir diesen im Sale für 1,99€ geholt. Leider war es so gar nicht das, was ich erwartet hatte und ich war so enttäuscht, dass ich es nach gut 10 Minuten aufgegeben hatte.

Jetzt, über ein Jahr später, ist die Enttäuschung verflogen, und da mir der zweite Teil noch immer in positiver Erinnerung war, wollte ich es noch einmal versuchen.
Man kann es schon spielen und es ist an sich auch nett gemacht, nur entspricht es leider nicht meiner präferierten Art von Rätseln. Es bringt mich ziemlich schnell zur Frustration und macht mir dementsprechend auch nicht besonders viel Spaß, obwohl die Rätsel nicht mal "schwierig" sind. [spoiler] Edit: Besonders das Level "Der Stil" mit dem ich angefangen hatte war schlimm. "New York City" hingegen fand ich super entspannt. [/spoiler] Das Konzept und die Idee finde ich allerdings ganz nett gemacht, auch wenn es mich visuell nicht ganz abholt.
Ich werde es wohl noch ein paar mal versuchen und hoffentlich demnächst beenden & dann abwarten, ob der nächste Teil wieder mehr in die andere Richtung geht. :)

本作基于艺术作品开发，美术设计取材名家，游玩过程中感觉赏心悦目，填色和寻路小游戏的解谜很有意思，迷宫设计的比较简单，适合打完前面后放松大脑（作者就是想注水吧喂）不足之处是关卡引导不够，需要优化，寻路不会开启转向提示的时候基本玩不了。

Please, Touch The Artwork is, as a whole, alright. The game consists of three separate sections, which are basically small 40-ish minute puzzle games of their own, and will be the main deciding factor for most people on whether the game is fun, or not, so this review will be split into three to give them their own short reviews:

1. The Style - Personally, i think the best game of the pack, and the only one that had me actually stumped on some levels. You pick a tile, and all the tiles around it change to the colour you chose, replicate the image on the left and you win. This is spiced up with the addition of lines you have to add yourself to create new tiles, multiple colours, and changing perspectives (easily the weakest way of adding "difficulty", but i will touch on it more later). This is the only game which i feel could be expanded into it's own game, the idea is great, fun to play and hooks you from the start, but it does start to lose steam near the end when difficulty is created by changing the perspective, rather than adding new mechanics. Still, a solid game, and easily the best of the pack.

2. Boogie Woogie - Get a square to it's goal, with the addition of obstacles that turn you around, change your direction and teleport you. It sounds simple, and it is, mostly a case of working backwards from the goal, or checking every cube for the one which could complete the path. It's not that difficult, but it ends up being mildly enjoyable due to introducing new mechanics every few levels, and ending before it gets stale. Mild recommend.

3. New York City - And to top it off, possibly the worst game of the pack. You are a line, you must collect all the cubes, there is no way to lose, if you mess up simply turn around and go back. This just ends up being not fun at all, and drags on way too long. The concept is already extremely simple from the start, and no mechanics are ever added to increase it's difficulty, instead you get perspective changes which make you see less, or make your line invisible, and this just feels like such a forced way to make the game harder. It doesn't make you think, it just makes you annoyed. Simply put, it's not even worth calling a puzzle, and should really be skipped altogether, not recommended at all.

If those sound fun to you, it's probably worth picking up, none of the games are that difficult, nor that long, so if you're looking for something to puzzle out while relaxing, this will likely scratch that itch. It's all neatly wrapped up in a package with a nice artstyle and enjoyable music. Personally i only really enjoyed one game of the pack, so i can't say it was worth it, even with the low price tag, but due to it's nature of being a variety pack, your mileage may vary.

规则清晰、上手快，作为碎片时间的轻度动脑还行。艺术只体现在风格包装上，比起艺术体验或者奇观，更类似一套题库，启发价值很低。解谜价值只能说第一部分有一点吧，解题思路也挺重复的……后两个模块文案和关卡有点注水嫌疑。总的来说缺乏打磨，感觉优化掉一部分关卡体验会更好。

从续作来的，但是1和2根本是两种风格的游戏。
除了都使用了名画/画派风格外，2更偏向于休闲解密，1完全是硬核解密游戏。
里面的三个标志性风格画作代表三种不同的解谜类型。个人来讲喜爱程度是纽约现代>布吉伍吉>风格派，大概同时也代表了休闲⇒硬核的难度吧，毕竟我玩游戏也不带什么脑子。
BGM非常的休闲轻松，也确实从游戏品味到了蒙德里安这位抽象艺术先驱的作品了。

I get that it's really obvious if you look at the trailer and so on, but I'm one of those people who likes to go into things completely blind. I want to stress that [u] this is not a bad game [/u]! It’s very well made and very thought-out. The texts are fun and the puzzles are unique. However, they are completely different from the types of puzzles I personally enjoy, and more crucially, they are completely different from those in the second game. I, like a lot of people probably, played the second one, loved it, and then decided to play the first one, because I anticipated it would be more of the same. Because of this I didn’t even briefly look at the steam store page. It was a bad choice. The puzzles were pretty confusing for me, I had a bad time trying to solve them, and the whole thing felt like a letdown compared to the second game.
So don’t be like me! If you expect this game to be like the second one, double check the gameplay and watch the trailer, so you will know what the game is like, and won’t set yourself up for disappointment.

Again, this game is good, just not for someone like me ♡

特别喜欢风格派画廊，每关都努力用最少步数达成，要是有这个的成就就好啦
唯一不太喜欢的是纽约篇的玩法，用键盘玩一会儿手就累了，而且绕路绕半天，有点令人烦躁。不过这篇剧情和画面表现都挺不错的，很有氛围

후속작을 먼저 플레이해서 전체적인 스토리, 빅 픽처를 기대하고 플레이했으나, 반복이 많은 단순한 퍼즐 게임에 불과했음.

There are three separate puzzle sequences in this game, the first one, based on creating colour blocks, is very satisfying to play and almost wholly based on logically applying the rules. I found this one very fun and worth the price of the game by itself.

The second two puzzles - a traffic one and a maze type one - are much more frustrating to play, and vastly overstay their welcome. To remain challenging they introduce unavoidable trial and error (traffic) or visual tricks (the mazes) to make the puzzle artificially more difficult to do without making it anymore interesting to solve. The maze one is particularly frustrating because it means endlessly back tracking to get everything; it's not challenging to solve it's just challenging to do the key inputs at the right time so as not to go down a dead end.

The music and story telling is very strong for all three games, but I only enjoyed the art for the first one. If you don't care about achievements play the first puzzle and leave the rest be.

It's... okay. This come as a very light recommend, due to some interesting puzzles and aesthetics. But overall the game drags itself down a bit.
The game has 3 "modes", and they all have their interesting parts, but all had something that bothered my by the end.
"Style" was by far my favorite and the more "puzzle-like" of the 3. The puzzles were interesting, intuitive and fun. However by the last few, they introduce a gimmick that, although fun at first, rapidly forces the very logical puzzles into more of a "trial and error" approach, not to mention a precise clicking on an invisible canvas, which I don't think it added at all to the gameplay. It added somewhat of a bitter taste to the end of was being such a pleasent experience.
"Boogie woogie" also start very fun and with a solid reasoning to solve each puzzle, but quickly adds random elements, hard to see interface, and just ends up, at least for me, in to the "trial-and-error" category of puzzles.
"New Work City" its just a narrative experience, going thorugh a poem, which has its cool moments. But the gameplay quickly dragged the whole experience down for me. Just randomly walking through a maze, then every few levels a new visual effect appears that usually just makes it more tiresome to travel through that maze. Some analogies of the poem through the visuals were cool, but in-between long mindless sections of just gathering some blocks.

Overall, I think for the right public, this just could be your cozy puzzle game to pass the time. But I think if it were more focused on interesting gameplay throughout, it would have been much more enjoyable for me.

Still, there isn't much content, so you can quickly check for yourself if its up your alley or not.

- In the harder levels, without lines it's damn near impossible to remember what the shape of the tile is. To get under par you will have to mess up a lot just trying to remember where all of the tiles are and where to click. I suppose that's the point, but it just feels cheap.
- Gameplay gets tedious quickly
- The WASD puzzle felt like an unnecessary grind with little actual challenge, could have been scrapped

If it's under $3 I would recommend it, but I feel this experience was nothing special/memorable.

Doubt I'll be coming back. One type of puzzle was enough for me, if they're arranged like this.

I played this game in one cozy go to 100%.
So that takes around 5 hours to achieve.

I really liked how minimalistic the game was.
Instead of one tiny game, it rather has three tiny games into one, representing three artistic galleries.
If you enjoy puzzle games and/or an interesting story, this game is something for you!

My first gallery was the puzzle one "The Schtail" first. I really like how it got more complicated with the levels and finally I had the hang of it. Unfortunatly when I was at my peak, it already was over. I would have enjoyed even more levels with this gallery to be honest!

My second gallery was "Boogy-Woogy". This is my favourite gallery. It combines story and puzzle elements the best. The way the story was linked to the puzzle added well to the narative and the end was really nice animated. Well done Thomas!!

Finally I started with the third gallery, where the puzzle element feels the most chill and you can just take your time and do not have to be that efficient. In between I felt reeeeally cozy and almsot fell asleep, then the end made me more awake again. I like the visuals, but had more problems understanding the story with this one, though I liked how it was delivered with the simple word pieces.

Worth mentioning I've got this game for 2€.
It is definetly worth more and I can totally recommend it!
(Also the credits made me laugh.)

为了艺术范儿惜字如金，但是关卡引导设计水平跟不上，前面的题目还能做做，到了布吉乌吉篇，连谜题规则都看不懂，玩得十分恼火。另外艺术只是视觉风格的载体，关卡设计到后面已经跟蒙德里安没啥关系了。想接受点艺术熏陶不如玩2代

Первая часть очень душная и сложная. Пришлось смотреть гайды. Вторая история про два ЛГБТ квадрата интересная, особенно когда один из парней увлекся девчонкой, но вспомнил насколько хорош квадратный пенис его партнера (а не ромбические сисяндры женщины) и решил вернуться к нему спустя череду из извинений. А самая прикольная мини игра это гонять квадратик по линиям в третьем акте. Оценка на 6,5 где-то, не особо впечатлило.

It is a decent puzzle game, but one of these two games should have been given a different title. This game is strictly puzzles while the """sequel""" is a hidden object game and the only similarity between the two is the concept of interacting with artwork. It seems like a deceptive attempt to use the popularity of the free sequel to trick fans into buying this other game that is completely different.

The gameplay of each mode is good up to a certain point, then it is just too difficult without total reliance on hints or guides. "The Style" was the best, but it lost all enjoyability immediately upon the level that removed the lines. It would have been much better to have more levels with lines.

Es un juego interesante, que tiene 3 partes independientes que nos hablan sobre la corriente De Stijl y el arte de Mondrian. Cada puzle es interesante a su manera y puedes llegar a enfrentarte a algunos desafíos interesantes.

En lo personal, la historia de New York City fue mi favorita y por mucho. Me encanto la historia, la música, el movimiento de cada ese, pero en especial me marcó la forma en que uno se iba sumergiendo en la historia por cada nivel que pasaba.

J'ai adoré !
Les énigmes sont vraiment bien, la logique c'est assez simple, la mise en oeuvre aussi, même s'il faut bien réfléchir parfois.
J'ai particulièrement aimé le premier ! Le 2eme m'a donné plus de fil a retordre, alors que le 3eme repose le cerveau.
J'ai trouvé les 3 histoires jolies, avec chacune leurs enjeux, elles permettent une bonne évolution du leveling (pensez à aller dans le menu du 1er, vous apprendrez des choses !)
A faire dans l'ordre du jeu.

EDIT : après avoir fait le PTTA 2, celui ci n'est pas du même stylé ! Même si ca reste tranquille, il demande plus de réflexion !
Je comprend aussi pourquoi il est payant contrairement au 2, il est bien plus long avec bien plus de contenu !

What an incredible game... each of the “games” is a new experience that will draw you in a different way and awaken different feelings... whether it's a sense of order amid the ‘chaos’ that happened to me in “The Style,” or the agony and betrayal that Boogie gave me, or even a strange sense of nostalgia and empathy in “New York.”
The game offers much more than you would expect, and also for its value. It's not a game where you spend 1,200 hours playing or where you have to collect 58 items... it's a game that you simply play and enjoy.

I had fun and relaxed touching many of the artworks. Unlike real life where if you touch the art you go into life debt and get thrown into a concrete room to think about what you did. Then your mom grounds you from ever playing video games or going outside ever again. 10/10 would touch art again (virtually)

第一个故事是难度最高的，到最后几张只能看提示过关了
第二个故事难度适中，讲的故事比较老套
第三个故事最简单，视觉表现也是我最喜欢的

Amazing game that i played in mobile years ago.
It has 3 Unique sets of puzzles with a simple story in each.

One is like a maze so in order to prrogress is to collect pellets and thus open the next segment while revealing a letter of the story.

The other is tiny bit more complicated since you have to paint the areas in a specific way which later on gets combined with adding the lines which is the 3rd mode.

Worth all the time and money spent.

Good game overall with interesting concepts! The Style Gallery had increasing difficulty, which was a good challenge but still pretty frustrating at times, and I really liked the "modernized" use of The Book of Genesis to introduce its concept! The Boogie Woogie had an intriguing story which I think was about long distance relationships, and i'm glad it had a good ending (I think).

Lastly, the New York City Gallery was definitely my favorite, with its melancholic feel about a relationship deteriorating, and its piano was just... :') Also, it was probably the easiest out of all the puzzles, so the melancholic feel wasn't easily disturbed.

It gets a bit tedious at times though, because the levels are kind of the same with a few tweaks to be more difficult than the last, but I think it's okay. I don't normally expect to finish a game in one sitting, so playing this at a leisurely pace with some patience worked for me.

Прикольный сеттинг и довольно интересный, не заезженный, вид загадок, заставляет подумать. Но после 2х часов мозг начинает закипать. Но советую точно пройти вторую часть данной игры (Please, Touch The Artwork 2), она очень хороша в своём юморе и абсурдности, тем более бесплатная.

仅仅因为喜欢第二部而来的玩家，大概率会对这部作品感到失望。尽管名字一样，美术主题同样鲜明强烈，但是和第二部在不同场景里收集关键物品的探索解密游戏大相径庭。这一部更像是小时候玩的益智类游戏，根据不同的章节主要分为迷宫、填色、寻路。

其中迷宫和填色章节难度刚好，找到规律后完成目标会很开心。只有寻路章节真的让人束手无策，到最后我只能用穷举法完成游戏...另外依旧对喜欢收集成就的人很友好，和第二部一样提示数量无限，而且就算超出最小步数也不会影响拿完所有成就。但为什么没有集换式卡牌 :< 有徽章的话一定会很好看有趣

另外不得不夸赞这系列作品的画面构图，字体排版、色彩搭配（毕竟蒙德里安）。对美学设计高要求的同时，还能表达故事和思考，和看完画展是一样的感受...是艺术性非常高的系列游戏。[spoiler]（但出轨后猛然惊醒发现只是做的噩梦的包饺子结局我没忍住hh）[/spoiler]
