I would recomend to give it a try now, to get to know it, but I would not recommend to play it long run in the current state (March 12, 2026).
I played 39+ hours, and I cannot recommended for a full play in this state.
Tha games it has its merits, and a lot of good things implemented from the start, however, for a long run, the cons starts to weight in and steal the joy out the play.
Pros:
+ Beautiful graphics and nature, at least 3 functional bioms and the snow one which I am not sure if it is working
+ + Crafting, leveling character, a lot of weapon types melee and ranged (althoug some melee seems to differ only at aspect only - energy Tachi, energy sword, energy blade.
+ Good ambient music and animal sounds.
+ scanning, jumping with jetpack makes the long travels very enjoyable and easy - a jump is about 80-120m.
+ clear path of building items progression, various resources, the tension of gathering low-supply resources, etc.
+ very easy building system, auto-lock/ allign system
Cons:
- Map quite unusable, no compass or craft flags for interesting places, no descriptions or legend for the map icons.
- No inventory/craft filter or sorting. The inventory window for crates or lockers is quite narrow
- Limiting building, foundation cannot be placed on a lot of terrain, not close to other base. Good luck trying to build a launching pad!
- No tutorial, no useful help, after 39 hours I still don;t know how to do a power atack.
- Quite often bumping into on obstacles (trees, flora).
- Although the fight system is promissing, presently is buggy and leaves room to exploits. Dodging continuosly prevents any type of atack harming you, including flames, explosions and bulets. Practically, the long fights with 3skull bosses ends in a gruesome 5-10 minutes of continuosly rolling and hacking whenever possible.
- Some missions are bugged - I had a mission to kill a pirate inquisitor, went to the indicated place (missions have track feature) and killed the guy - the only 3 skull boss there - 4 or 5 times, mission still incomplete.
- Sound setting are not save, each time you start the game the settings are default
- Death exploit - if you choose no item dropped upon death, you can use the kill-yourself feature as a very fast and reliable transportation mean between your bases.
- NPC and your items may despawn permanently - you struggle to fight with a pirate boss and at 10% he vanishes completely. You walk away from your hover bike and it despawns for good, loosing your resources to build it.
The games looks very promissing, I will definitely come back and give it a try after 6 months- a year.
I don't regret buying it (it was an discount offer), but I will wait to be more developed to play it again
Game needs more love, super enjoyable and good time killer for just zoning out and being in a world involving space and alien life and i rather enjoy this allot. Would definitely buy 10 copies if i could with how much fun i am having in little hours played!
While I have only played the game just shy of 6 hours, I played long enough to say, the reviews that don't recommend the game, most are spot on. I can't recommend the game in it's current state.
Honestly, I don't feel like the devs are doing well with prioritizing. So, what needs to be brought into the game NOW vs what is in the game NOW.
I like where the game is heading needs time to cook but id love to see this game in full action!!!

Sword play is fun
If you can find the right graphic settings the game is beautiful
Planet is fun to explore
Machines in game are easy to use and build
Cons:
Needs Controller support for me to put hours of game play in
Bada** enemies spawn way to close and to rapidly in starter area (Giant Frog Lizard Thingy) and needed help from NPCs to save me
Food goes away a little to fast (Tiny complaint)
I hope people quit hating on it so it doesn't discourage others to one day play it with that said it definitely needs time thanks for listening to my TED talk
Well this is a well put together game I have enjoyed playing it I have over 60 Hrs play time I just wish they would start doing updates or at least say something in the line of that there going to keep the game going or it is dead and they are not going to finish the game. you should try it out and see if you think they should revisit it
