Hook thumb bad. Green cams are awful and don't want you to watch your friends play. a 1degree slope will shank you into crowd, off the cart path, into a city council meeting in the next town over, and wondering why you are not still playing PGA2k23
The game is very fun and challenging. The section of challenges is huge and gives a lot to do. Here's why I wouldn't recommend:
Career mode is laggy AF. Look it up online. It's not computer specs or internet speed. Rest of the game rips. Just Career mode. Tournament over? Wait 30 seconds for the next screen to come up, then more, then more.... again, look it up.
Also, the microtransactions are extensive. In the season probably 90% of the items are behind the paywall. Pretty disgusting.

Rimane il gioco da avere per gli appassionati del Golf e per chi vuole cimentarsi su campi inaccessibili a noi, poveri e semplici amatori di questo sport. Unico commento negativo è quello nei confronti della necessità di ampliare i propri successi, anche se solo estetici e di prodotto, tramite i pacchetti DLC (che non ho mancato di acquistare) ma che ovviamente richiedono un esborso di ulteriori Euro per non perdere accesso a oggetti e abbigliamento, per me iconici.

I don't get what people are complaining about? Angry at a company charging $ to make the game easier and quicker. But its not mandatory.
Just play it and enjoy the progression of getting better by practice and better as a reward for playing well.

Gameplay is incredible, club and skill progression trees are engaging and well thought out. MySeason is realistic and relatable with the social media aspect, sponsors and interviews.
The main problem is the game overlays and menus are unbearable laggy. I can't understand how the gameplay itself never lags, but soon as you need to navigate to a menu it becomes choppy and unusable.
I really have had a lot of fun besides when it crashes I get sad. Especially when I was on teh 18th hole of a online match and I had a putt to win and then it crashed mid putt. :(

Stuttering mess, constantly full loads my 3080 for no reason. Controller routinely malfunctions making you swing 102% or not at all. Makes it unplayable.
The best part is none of these issues started until I was past the refund window. Typical EA bs.

The game itself is really awesome, but loading times in the main menu (3-4 minutes) totally kill all the pleasure. I would recommend PGA Tour 2K23 instead.
Its cool, but way more sensitive than 23, and endless of option to tune, wich is ofc cool. "the arcade" feeling of 21-23 is slowly dissapearing. A bit confusing at first, alot of skills and attributes to change, but once you get a hang of it, it works fine.
Good Golf Game Ranked Online is unplayable. Pretty Sad a Developer like 2K allows players to leave to avoid receiving a loss. You get up a couple of holes and players leave and wont count as a win. Might as well not have a ranked gamemode.....
Loved playing 2K23 and transitioning to 2K25 can only be described like stepping on a nail bare footed. They treat giving you VC which you need to upgrade your player as if its coming directly from someones paycheck. You get miniscule VC practically no matter what you do and the game seems to push you to spend real money to get anywhere. Ive played this on controller and mouse and keyboard and I can say that even the slightest deviation even on the easiest of difficulty setting sends your ball 20-30ft in a direction into the abyss. I feel like this was a mad backtrack from 2k23. Obviously 2k isn't going to do anything about it but this has to be the most irritating golf game Ive ever played. Probably wont be playing any 2K golf games in the future. Spend your money elsewhere.
If you can get this game on sale for $25 or less it is a great golf game! However the micro transactions will rain down on you like ice shards from the gods!
As a filthy golf casual, this hits for me. Yes, you can really go off the deep end with microtransactions if you want to speed up progression. If you're playing online and playing to compete at a high level, I could see that being a problem. But like I said....filthy golf casual who doesn't mind losing ranked matches. Good stuff. I'd like to see slightly faster seasonal progression, but that's my only issue.

I'm not playing online and just drive for fun playing single player. I'm gonna say this iteration is solid for playing just for fun. Yeah, but the character selection is too... you know what I mean. 8/10

Another nice golf sim from 2K. This version is similar to earlier versions but a nice upgrade if on sale...which it was. i enjoy playing it solo and in multiplay.
Golf is good. Menu is miserable. Just make it simple and quick. Get rid of all these transition screens.

im not a golf guy at all, but this game is super fun and chill.
Mostly MyCareer player. Played TGC 19 and 2k23, have 1k hours between the two.
Upsides- Swing mechanics make the game a good challenge, shot selection is incredible when you unlock them. MyCareer fields are much tighter and more realistic. Graphics are excellent. Having everything except April's major with the 2025 courses is awesome. All around, one of the best games since Tiger Woods 2004.
Downsides- Club level ups are nice, but are WAY too expensive and take WAY too much time to grind for VC to get leveled up. VC is WAY to hard to get without risking it in skins to level up your player. If VC rewards were much higher for MyCareer and casual matchmaking events, it would be a much more reasonable amount of time to upgrade the clubs you want to use. 2k will not do this because they want to sell microtransactions in a $60 game for some stupid reason, but whatever. You can adjust the swing difficulty based on what upgrades your clubs have plus your skill level to make the game challenging but possible to be successful at.

the online lag is too rough to try and play ranked matches. one moment it is fine, then it will get choppy. its not my hardware or driver issues. Would recommend the game if you are playing with career mode or with local play friends. any kind of online server or match will be inconsistent
the game also trys to force you to buy VC to continue the upgrades or to play any kind of online matches.
Gameplay is pretty good, but you'll spend half your time waiting for load screens and lagging, even with a powerful PC. Wouldn't recommend unless you have a ton of extra time on your hands to just sit there.
Fire game once you learn swing mechanics and windage/yardage rules.

I'm running a 5070 and it is still just as choppy of a game as it was on a PS5. All the pop ups and stuff are garbage that lag the game down. I can't imagine how it is on a last gen console. Sheesh
Massive lag and controller input glitch in backswing. There's also a boatload of micro-transactions just to upgrade. The game is actually very fun, but just not worth the irritants.

Ads, ads and more ads. You'd think I'd got this game for free with how hard they push their ads for DLC. Other than that, it is the best golf game you can get for your PC.
Don't purchase at full price. The menus are painfully sluggish. In MyCareer, where you'll likely spend much of your time farming VC, at some point in the first 2-3 shots the game will lag so horribly your FPS will be in single digits regardless of your PC build. On an AMD 7700X, 4070TI, 64 GB DDR5, during these lags, my frames drop from a capped 90 as low as literally 1, and this lasts for up to 60 seconds. When the round ends, it takes another 60 seconds to get through the last few presentation style portions of the round to even get back to the main menu. Those "presentation slides" (your scorecard, final leaderboard, the cut to the winner holding the trophy) has the same frame drops, stutters, and laggy-ness mentioned earlier. All in all, the gameplay is decent, but the headache can be easily argued as not worth it. And this isn't touching the fact that if you don't want to endlessly grind a golf game (which I quite enjoy to be fair), I hope your 9-5 pays well because you're going to be shilling cash just to max your golfer for more a enjoyable experience.
TLDR: Don't buy it unless it's on sale (and you're a very patient person) as you'll likely spend as much time spamming the "next" button in menus as you do playing a game of *whack* "F***".
I bought this game on release. It was terrific for the first month but after the first patch, the menus became very laggy, taking an inordinated time to get to the next screen. One year later and now I can't even get into the game as it is offline. My own user created players ae not available to use offline. I am about to delete it off my hard drive.
Pros:
Looks fantastic graphically. Courses look similar to their respective real-world courses.
Ball physics are fine. Occasionally glitches such as a ball putt in the hole appears back on the green.
Good player customisation however the female character models are all overweight even on the skinniest setting.
Cons:
Menus are slow to load. I have never seen a menu system this bad in over 40 years of gaming since the 1980s. It makes the game tedious between rounds
User data stored in the cloud. No access to it when you have no internet access.
PvP mode does not seem to link players of similar skill level.
Bizarre non-intuitive levelling of clubs and equipment.
Swing glitches on every round I play. Appears like lag spikes.
Now can't access the game servers as they are down for me. Webiste syas they are up.
This list is not exhuastive. There are many othe rproblems.
I would not recommend this game, not even when on special.

Great experience. Love the refinements to swing stick or whatever it's called. It feels more like a real golf swing. The progression is at the right pace so you don't get frustrated, but also don't feel like you've beat the game overnight.
By far the worst PGA Tour 2K game I have ever played! Doesnt run for ♥♥♥♥ half the time and when it does, its the most inconsistent piece of garbage ever. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME! seriously just skip it

I really want to play this game, but in its current laggy bug filled state it is just a pain in the rear to try to play. Controller support is really bad, game does not recognize crontroller mid match and then there is no way to get it back, you must use mouse /keyboard until a new cut scene releases the freeze and then you have a controller again. Also game is really laggy and i mean really bad. I have a high end rig and game stutters like it has no resources to use. Very dissapointed as I am past the refund period so i am stuck with this unplayable pile of C... until they fix the bug if ever.

This game is fun only once you pass all the other steps to get to the swing. I will never understand why EA seems to think it's okay to go through so many steps just to get to the first Tee.
Practiced, got better, now enjoying the game a lot more than I was previously. Currently playing on ProAm difficulty without the shot-line.
Great graphics. Beware that club fittings disappear once you equip another fitting, so don't fritter them away with experimentation
First golf video game I purchased since PGA TOUR III on Sega Genesis. The golf ball is no longer a lump of white coal on my screen but the loading screens after every. single. action. gets old, quick. And why can't my male avatar wear kickass womens jackets? Come to think of it, why can't I just go shirtless? Stupid game. 6/10. Worth playing I suppose if your house doesn't need dusting or you grow tired of watching paint dry. Remember when golf games were fun? I do. This aint quite it.

While I wasn't a fan when the whole swing path has changed from straight up and down to more of a realistic "7:00 to 1:00"-- as a real-life golfer, it's more true to form. So, it takes some getting used to at the Pro level.
The graphics are great. The course selections are wonderful. It has that 2K feel when in career mode-- for certain.
I highly recommend it. I've become an addict after having played many, many years of golf games from 2K and other companies. Get it while it is on sale!

logged over 300 hours in 2k23 and this has been better in all aspects so far. If you liked 2k23, you'd love 2k25. of course 2k has it's usual microtransactions but you can grind and enjoy the game without needing to spend any additional cash

十次里有五次会卡在片头的地方，根本进不去游戏，你问我为什么两个小时的试玩登录了十次，因为我玩个生涯模式都各种卡住，那可是一个单机模式啊！似乎在各种模式下，2K都在尝试连上他们那垃圾的服务器，小圆圈转个不停。简直是正版受害者！
再说游戏性本身，挥杆路径的倾斜是一个很有挑战性的改动，而且和挥杆路径相匹配，有了很多专业度上的可玩性。而且这一代在官方球场的基础上，很好的实现了玩家自建球场，说明社区运营还是有成效的。但是！竞技模式下非常依赖等级和球杆属性，而等级和球杆升级都和VC相关，而一场比赛中获得的VC又少的可怜，换而言之，就是各种引导你氪金充VC，非常恶心！
这代跳过退款了，希望HB Studio能把2K27做的更好。
Very fun and realistic game. Tons of playing options including ranked and tour modes. Course designer is super user friendly and gameplay is extremely realistic in terms of physical movements and body control. Tons of famous courses to play as well.
It's been a while since I played a golf sim and I am really enjoying this ageme. Great tools to get you started learning the system. There is a lot of options in the game, so there is a bit to learn but it is easy to get started. Just wish my real game was as good as this one : )
