但是有点遗憾，还是太早了，迷宫内完全不能存档就离谱，我打雪子的迷宫一个半钟都没打完（痛苦面具）。没有大段大段的空闲时间根本没办法玩，除法浪费游戏里的一天，把迷宫拆成很多天打（头痛）。

初のペルソナ、最初は荒いグラフィックを見て買うのが遅かったかなあと思ったがプレイしてると気にならなくなる程ハマってしまった。
それぞれのキャラクターのヴィジュアルが素晴らしくバックボーンがしっかりしていて、プレイ時間が伸びるほどゲームを終わらせたくなくなります。BGMもセンスの塊で、ペルソナやったことないのになんかペルソナ感あるな・・と感心してしまいました。

ただ戦闘やダンジョンについてはちょい微妙に思いました。使いまわしの敵や開ける価値のない宝箱、殺風景なダンジョンの構図などはストーリーを進めるうえで必須なのがきつかったです。
一週目ではキャラクター全員と友好を深められないのでEDを見た後すぐ二週目をやろうと思ったものの、またあの殺風景なダンジョンに潜るのかと思うと躊躇してしまいます。
ダンガンロンパみたいに本編が終わった後、お好きに好感度上げてくださいみたいなモードがあれば良かった。
あと会話パートでAUTO機能があれば尚良かったと思う。

ペルソナ４は青春コンプレックスにはキツイとは聞いていたものの、これが青春アニメだと違ったかもしれないが、ゲームだと素直にエンジョイ出来て最高であった。2026年もゴールデンの輝きは失せていないようだ。
ただクリアした後調べて驚愕したのだが、なんと去年2025年に４のリメイクの発表がされていた！！！
最初は買うのが遅かったと後悔したが、今は買うのが早かったかなと別の後悔が生じている。

그냥 GOAT... 누구든 어디선가 상상, 몽상해왔던 청춘을 그대로 느낄 수 있는 페르소나 4 골든.
내가 마지막으로 클리어한 페르소나 시리즈이자 프롤로그와 엔딩까지의 수미상관이 느껴지는 게임.
3 리로드, 5 로열과 같은 고교생활을 하면서도 다른 시리즈에서는 찾아볼 수 없는,
차별성있는 청춘들의 희노애락 이야기.
역시나 페르소나 답게 좋은 음악과 배경이 어우러지며 더욱 좋은 느낌을 냅니다...
4 골든이 본판 중 가장 깔끔하고 뒷맛 좋고 해피하다고 생각함...

단점이라면 낡은 일러와 그래픽, 인게임 컷씬, 시스템... 3R, 5R을 먼저 해보신 분들이라면 많이 불편하실 듯?
이거는 4 리바이벌이 나오면 3 리로드처럼 개선될거라 생각함!
리바이벌 나오면 개선된 모습으로 특별수사본부에 모이고싶구나...

그... 그리고... 정실은 나오토라고 생각해요...

Yes i am recommending this game with only 30 hours. Reason is. I already played his original version on Ps2. Yep, still checks out as my favorite Persona game (though Both Persona 2 get very close) I can safely tell you that i had more fun playing this than Persona 5 when it was first released. Not saying Persona 5 is bad or anything. If anything i feel it like it was a very underwelming experience when compared to Persona 4. Persona 4 to is a complete package. No ifs or buts. The cast is fun. Story is interesting and the gameplay is just slightly not so over-tweaked as most of Atlus titles nowadays that allows for errors to happen. I love that. If anything i do wish the original Persona 4 was also released for safe-keeping. But again both versions are good. I have one or other few gripes with Golden (Marie) but overall styll my favorite Persona game for a reason. Trust me. This is a good game. And it is worth every penny you can spend on it. Here is to praying that the Remake is at least half as good.

Еще во время прохождения Persona 3 Reload я ни раз натыкался на четвертую часть, эстетика которой меня так и манила. Маленький японский городок, расследование серийных убийств, ласкающий уши саундтрек, теплые желтые тона, атмосфера беззаботных школьных деньков — все это заставляло меня пройти игру. И, как оказалось, не зря. Persona 4 Golden влюбила меня в себя и осталась в моем сердечке, заставив при этом с замиранием ждать выход ремейка, дабы я снова мог ворваться в маленькую и уютную Инабу и еще раз расследовать загадочное дело…

Persona 4 Golden еще с самого начала игры предстает перед нами как образцовый сиквел по отношению к трешке. На первый взгляд все как обычно. Мы видим вполне привычную «формулу Персоны»: одну часть игры ты учишься в обычной японской школе и налаживаешь социальные связи с окружающими людьми, а другую часть ты посвящаешь сражениям с тенями в местном аналоге Тартара — Телемире. Однако даже здесь не обошлось без изменений, причем вполне себе значимых.

Во-первых, здешний Телемир — это не просто бесконечная башня на 250+ этажей, а сборник различных данжей, каждый этаж которых берет не количеством схваток, а их качеством, т.е сложностью. Из-за этого боевка занимает теперь не 50-60% игры, как это было ранее, а всего лишь 30-40%. Основной упор четвертая часть делает именно на социальную составляющую, на сюжет и на взаимодействие с твоими друзьями. Сражаться же придется гораздо реже, пусть и делать это иной раз труднее, что крайне показательно, поскольку разработчики действительно учли слабые стороны Persona 3 и постарались сделать игру менее однообразной.

Во-вторых, распорядок дня главного героя Persona 4 Golden также отличается. Поход в Телемир занимает у нас половину дня и еще целый вечер на отдых от него, поэтому заниматься социальными активностями придется в другие дни. Но и здесь не обошлось без дополнительных условий в виде меняющейся погоды и строгого на первых порах игры дяди Ретаро, что не дает гулять по ночам. Под новый распорядок нужно подстраиваться, что очень прикольно и добавляет динамики в общий темп игры.

Кстати, раз уж зашла речь о дяде, то пора поговорить про сюжет и персонажей — главную мякотку любой Персоны.

Завязка сюжета у нас следующая. Главный герой по имени Ю Наруками (каноничное имя) приезжает в маленький японский городок Инаба, чтобы год пожить у своего дяди Ретаро Додзимы и временно поучиться в местной школе Ясогами, пока родители Ю работают за границей. Однако приезд в Инабу и новый учебный год ознаменуются не только началом новой маленькой жизни и обретением друзей. В городе начинает происходить череда загадочных убийств — жертв находят повешенными на фонарных столбах. Вдобавок ко всему главные герои узнают о существовании Телемира, что скрывается по ту сторону телевизора и таит в себе немало опасностей. И теперь нам предстоит распутать это непростое дельце.

На этот раз основной темой игры является принятие своей тени и становление собой. Это еще куда сильнее соприкасается с психологией Карла Юнга, о чем игра сама охотно говорит, давая возможность посмотреть аж целый курс по юнгианской психологии в качестве дополнительного контента. Если вы не стали фанатом Юнга при прохождении Persona 3 Reload, то поверьте мне, вы станете таковым после четвертой части. Идеи Юнга поданы и раскрыты здесь самым филигранным образом. Они очень тесно вплетены в основной сюжет и социальные связи. Лично для меня темы, поднимаемые в социальных связях Persona 4 Golden, крайне близки и каждая из них по-своему заставила меня задуматься о том или ином аспекте жизни. В особенности меня зацепили сюжетные линии Кандзи, Нанако, Ретаро, Наоки, Мари и Кумы.

Я не могу не выделить главное преимущество четвертой части в сравнении с предыдущей. Это темп сюжета и насыщенность событиями. Для меня Persona 3 Reload была безусловно великолепной с точки зрения сюжета, однако, если быть честным, то во многих моментах игра проседала по темпу, а события начинали раскручиваться лишь ближе ко второй половине игры, что не могло не утомлять. Местами тебе было просто скучно и ты проводил целые недели за прокачкой социальных связей вместо лицезрения сюжета, который частенько мог застопориться пока не наступит новое полнолуние.

Persona 4 Golden же показывает абсолютно противоположный пример. Игра насыщенна контентом доверху, а сюжет держит в напряжении до самого конца, особенно если не знаешь, кто является убийцей. Я, к сожалению, это знал, но вместе с тем не терял интереса к сюжету ни на минуту. Наоборот, история развивалась настолько интенсивно, что умудрялась много раз удивить меня сюжетными поворотами и заставить натурально понервничать в финальной сюжетной арке. Серьезно, еще никогда за обе части Персоны мое сердце не билось так сильно, как в арке с раскрытием всех карт в декабре. И при всем при этом, четвертую часть не зря называют самой веселой игрой про поиск серийного убийцы. Если трешка частенько уходила в меланхолию и легкую апатию, то вот четверка напротив очень даже жизнерадостная игра с примесью легкой комедии. Я искренне угорал с местного юмора и за счет этого еще сильнее привязывался к героям. Только подумайте: в каком еще художественном произведении мрачная детективная составляющая, комедия про школьников и серьезная психологически-философская рефлексия могут переплетаться воедино, образуя нечто целостное? Именно это и делает Persona 4 Golden уникальной.

А вот что еще делает игру уникальной, так это саундтрек. И он как всегда шикарен. Композитор игры Сёдзи Мэгуро идеально передал атмосферу маленького и уютного японского городка, ностальгию по теплым беззаботным денькам и ощущение трепетного счастья. В особенности хочу выделить песни “Your Affection”, “Heartbeat, Heartbreak”, “Signs Of Love”, “Snowflakes”, темы двух опенингов “Shadow World” и “Pursuing My True Self”, а также мою самую любимую на данный момент песню из всех игр серии — “Heaven”. Вокал Широко Хината просто безупречен! Я готов переслушивать все треки из игры по сто раз, пока гуляю по улице и едва ли когда-нибудь остановлюсь вкушать этот нежный саундтрек.

Однако, несмотря на все вышеперечисленные преимущества, Persona 4 Golden имеет также некоторые недостатки, заставляющие меня на миг прервать мое чувство влюбленности в эту игру. И это неоправданно усложненные и затянутые бои с боссами, заставляющие тебя либо бесконечно страдать и тратить по 40-60 минут (!!!) на одну попытку, либо же просто включить в настройках возможность воскрешаться после каждой смерти прямо в бою. К последнему, увы, я прибегал очень часто, за что с одной стороны корил себя, называя в душе поганым казуалом и пусечкой, но с другой стороны, я осознавал, что иного выхода нет и что я не имею ни малейшего желания пытаться подстраиваться под желающий надо мной поиздеваться геймдизайн. Усугубляет проблему еще и тот факт, что в четверке отсутствуют фишки из пятой части, что перекочевали в ремейк трешки. Ты не можешь ни нормально переключать персоны, ни передавать ход сопартийцам, ни использовать теургии (потому что у тебя их просто нет, лол). И я прекрасно понимаю, что записывать отсутствие продвинутых фишек из современных частей в счет ремастера игры из 2000-х нельзя, а посему ожидаю увидеть эти новшества уже в ремейке. Если ремейк выйдет, то я обязательно его пройду и возьму там платину. Готов даже сделать это на максимальной сложности, чтобы вернуть карму за казуальное прохождение оригинала. Ну а пока что, как-то так…

После прохождения игры я могу с уверенностью заявить, что Persona 4 Golden — одна из моих самых любимых игр за все время наравне с Persona 3 Reload. Однако именно четвертая часть и уютная Инаба навсегда останутся в моем сердечке. Я всегда буду помнить о Ёсуке, Тие, Юкико, Кандзи, Рисе, Наото, Куме и многих-многих других. И я буду готов с радостью вернуться в этот замечательнейший мир уже в ремейке.

Взагалі найбільш опрацьована геймплейно гра серії.
Музика для мене вперше перевершила геній Ямаоки і його роботу в Сайлент хіллі. Настільки вдало написаний/підібраний ОСТ до гри.
З мінусів тільки те, що ми отримали по суті просто перевидання з пс віти яке є майже теж простим перевиданням оригіналу з пс2 навіть з деяким графічним даунгрейдом, який лише частково компенсується контентом, що завезли в голд едішн. Хоча, оскільки ремейк вже анонсований, порівнювати напряму з п3р та п5р наразі немає сенсу.

This game is truly amazing. The character and world building established throughout the story is captivating. I really found myself enjoying seeing each character grow and develop through the many events in the game. The music is also spot-on. The relationships and motivations feel well established and meaningful in a way that I found more resonating than even those in Persona 5 Royal. I feel like it should be said that Persona 5 and Royal are much more enjoyable games from a purely mechanical standpoint for me. That being said, I never found myself angry or bored at any point within this game. What little it feels like it is lacking in dungeon exploration when compared to P5R palaces, I think it more than makes up for in heart and character. Highly recommend playing.

A great way to define the recent persona games is understanding them as three cool systems:

-A JRPG with hyper-polished mechanics in a dungeon-crawling gameplay
-A social link system where you boost your run through "making friends"
-A story told on a time-limited calendar that ties together the previous two ones through an specific theme ("Chasing the Truth" is P4G's theme).

Each of the more recent games in the series (3, 4, and 5) stands out for highlight in one of these systems. Persona 4 Golden, in particular, represents the pinnacle of the franchise in terms of social links.

It's unusual that, even though all the characters are caricatures, they end up working better than the more "serious" characters in the franchise simply because that mask gradually falls away, revealing a more genuine feeling within their simplicity. There comes a point where the villain's actions weigh more heavily because they disrupt the time you spend with your friends than because of the evil deeds themselves.

The gameplay feels like a game of its time; it suffers from grinding issues if you're going for true ending and you have to optimize your actions a looooot while chasing for 100% completion; besides, in my case, the final battle lasted 45 minutes. Even so, and knowing that a remake is coming, I recommend not missing this experience.

My personal fav from persona series btw.

A game about murder mystery in a small rural town, you and your friends investigate by entering a "TV world" where the victims are thrown in to save them, in the TV world you fight shadows and bosses in a turn based combat formula. (you will have to grind at times)
other than that you get to feel the rural town, interact with characters, build bonds and indulge yourself in activities such as fishing, reading, studying etc.
you have to manage your time wisely, becuase youre only limited to one activity per day and evening.

activities: i played persona 5: royal, where i always found what to do in my everyday life. but in persona 4: golden, i often found myself wandering around aimlessly looking for an acitivity to do. But if you ask me, i think this was intentional, making you FEEL the boredom in a small rural town.

dungeons: the dungeons are VERY repetitive, the floor designs rarely change(unless its turning lights of or giving it a greener look), and for quests you will have to grind a lot through them. you strongly will feel the downgrade with the dungeons.

combat, personas: i personally felt more immersed in the fusion and persona's powers, and the combat in persona 4, the game was more challenging than persona 5 so i had to think very carefully about what powers and personas i fuse.

bonds: i looked forward to spend time with the characters in persona 4, which i never felt this way with persona 5, the characters that are offered to you in persona 4 are more interesting and relateable, and show up in your life more naturally.

in conclusion, i felt the downgrade in gameplay and dungeons in persona 4, but the bonds, scenery, story and characters truly made up for that.

The vibes, the music, the themes were great to see in conjunction with the overall game. This is definitely more pleasant compared to the other persona games. The chemistry between the cast is palatable and lively.

I am not a fan of the silent protagonist, the only sounds he makes are grunts and hmphs. It feels strange to not have a name when they just call me "you or hey"...
There are few themes in the game that felt poorly handled. It does take away from the immersion at times. The jokes are well... dated and some of them are alright.

The soundtrack in this game is so unexpectedly good that I would go afk to listen to the music until it's loop. The gameplay runs smoothly but I have had some slight hiccups here are there but nothing too major.

I would recommend this game for the vibes, the chemistry, the MUSIC and overall experience of vicariously living as a transfer student.

This version, which was initially an improved version of Persona 4, updates the experience without sacrificing its small-town charm. The story boldly explores themes including gender expectations, sexuality, ambition, and social anxiety as each party member faces a "Shadow" of themselves, which represents suppressed wants and concerns. By giving relationships meaning and giving player decisions more emotional depth, the Social Link system improves gameplay. In some character arcs, the analysis of masculinity and inflexible gender roles is very interesting.

The game maintains tonal balance even as it juggles murder, existential concerns, and slice-of-life comedy. The mystery's darkness contrasts well with the friend group's friendliness. The threat feels closer rather than farther away because of the humorous school moments. The first few hours are mechanically constrained and mostly focused on discussion. Although it's essential for world-building, players who anticipate instant action may find it difficult to wait.

Awkward tonal changes or stereotypes are used in certain humorous instances. They may seem out of date or uneasy, even though they are representative of their time. Although there are other possible outcomes, the primary plot line remains mostly unaltered. Relationships are more impacted by decisions than by the overall plot direction.

One of the Greatest experience's in Gaming I've ever had.

Persona 4 Golden is a nothing short but incredible, a thrilling plot, cast of characters I will remember and treasure with me. Yes, the game does show it's age slightly in some aspects, however I don't think of these as faults but rather how far we have come. I was lucky enough to not be spoiled about the adventure one would experience while playing this game. Persona 4 Golden was my first Persona game and I'm thankful for that. If you love spending hours into a story with characters that will grip at your heart strings and twists and turns that will make you think about every action you do in the game.

I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants a story about people finding themselves and coming together to save their world. 10/10

Ive played this game before on my xbox and I decided to buy and play it again on steam even with revive coming out and ill play this wonderful game many times over. Despite golden not being up to date with reload and royal I will die on the hill that persona 4 is the BEST persona game in the already loveable franchise. L'opus de la série qui fait le moins de bruit (parmi ceux disponibles sur steam) mais très probablement mon préféré. C'est pas vraiment une unpopular opinion puisque c'est aussi le cas pour beaucoup de personnes, et à raison ! Le jeu n'a quasi que des points positifs :

- Les personnages : Probablement les mieux écrits de la série. C'est très facile de s'attacher à eux puisque la majorité ont des histoires / problèmes auxquels on pourrait facilement s'identifier, surtout pour des adolescents (recherche d'identité, acceptation de la mort, problèmes amoureux, passage à l'âge adulte ...). C'est le GROS point fort de ce Persona. La dynamique entre les personnage est elle aussi superbe, on sent vraiment l'aspect "groupe de pote".

- L'histoire : Elle ne casse pas 3 pattes a un canard mais elle fait clairement le taff. Sans spoil, le groupe de lycéens se retrouve à enquêter sur une histoire de meurtre liée a une chaine TV. C'est original, sans partir dans tous les sens.

- Les OST : Que dire à part qu'elles sont justes incroyables (on a l'habitude avec Persona). Une fois que vous aurez fini le jeu, vous n'aurez qu'une seule envie, c'est d'aller réécouter les OST sur Youtube.

- Gameplay : C'est du tour par tour "classique" mais pas trop compliqué non plus. Parfait pour des gens qui n'aiment pas vraiment ce genre de jeu d'habitude. Les menus ne sont pas aussi beaux et fluides que les autres Persona, mais le jeu a 14 ans, donc faut pas lui en vouloir ! Pour ce qui est du "hors combat", comme le veut la saga, le jeu se déroule sur une année scolaire. On est amené a jouer (presque) tous les jours du calendrier.
Le fait que la ville du jeu soit plus petite est aussi un avantage pour les personnes qui débutent dans la série. On ne s'y perds pas, et on ne se sent pas débordé d'info à ne plus savoir quoi faire, comme ca peut être le cas pour persona 5.

J'ai quand même noté des points négatifs :

- Les donjons sont assez répétitifs biens qu'ils ne soient pas super longs.
- Certains boss sont abominables,... Des sacs a PV sans grands intérêt, c'est assez frustrant parfois.
- Les jours de pluie ne servent pas a grands choses ... Aucunes activités disponible, c'est un peu dommage.
- Pour accéder a la vrai fin du jeu, il faudra faire des choix de dialogues bien précis. Mais rien ne vous indique vraiment quoi, du coup obligé d'aller regarder sur internet ou de reprendre une sauvegarde antérieure et recommencer jusqu'à faire les bon choix.

En bref, foncez ! Vous en ressortirez changé. C'est le genre de jeu qui ne laisse pas indifférent une fois fini.

Je reste aussi persuadé qu'il s'agit de la meilleure entrée dans la série, mais c'est purement personnel et je comprends que des gens recommandent plutôt le 5.

I believe this Persona game currently ranks at the lowest place of favorite Persona games, but is still absolutely good enough to receive my positive review and recommendation. While I may have not felt that the characters in this game were as complex or sophisticated as the other Persona games, I still enjoyed the gameplay and story about as much as the other installments in the series.
One other reason I really loved playing this game that may not be as important to other players is for the option to listen to characters speak Japanese. I'm currently studying Japanese, and I found most of what Yosuke said included helpful Japanese phrases that I believe are commonly used in everyday casual/informal Japanese.
Altogether, it was a really enjoyable (and educational) game!

Great experience, great characters, fun story, and worth all of my time. This is the first persona I've actually completed; I've played a bit of 3 Reload but dropped it because I wanted to play something else at the time, and I would've picked it up again, but 4 seemed more interesting. The only thing that I can say holds it back is the dungeons due to their repetitive layout. All of them are pretty much the same with a different wallpaper. However, the dungeons aren't exactly the main focus of this game, so it doesn't matter to me all that much. Overall a must-play.

I have no words to put in for this game, it is simply a masterpiece in itself.
Golden sure did add a lot of new things but I love that it's kept the same so you could see how it was on the PS2.
The characters were extraordinary, I felt REALLY connected to them, more than in Persona 5. It felt like they were THAT close to me.
I'm amazed that this game took SO long to come out on PC and Console considering it came from the PS Vita.
If you need an AMAZING story game to play, it's THIS game right here.
If you plan on playing the series, start from 3 Reload, then this (or if you WANT to wait for Revival) and then 5 Royal.
All games are amazing but this game completely went above my expectations. No wonder everyone is naming it their favorite.
I've got spoiled for the killer but it DID NOT stop me from playing whatsoever. It's such an amazing game that I almost made me forget who it was.
Nothing in this game is a flaw in my opinion. It's PERFECT.

There is a reason this is the best vita game. Even though it's the fourth game in the series it is a great, affordable starting point for the Persona series. In some ways better than Persona 5. Downsides; dungeons can get very repetitive, and combat is less smooth than P5. However, unlike P5 I've had many more moments were I was blown away. I Love Persona 4 Golden.

I didn't expect much from this game but it swept me from up under the rug before I knew it. I've played a few games before and this is one of the rare few to tickle my soul in such a new way to me. The game subtly endears you to the cast of characters using silly quirks and stupid jokes, all culminating in simple but really hard question; How do you face the parts of yourself that you wished never existed?

Watching so many characters struggle with that question makes them feel so human and when they do reach an answer for themselves it feels perfect to who they are. The struggles they go through feel personal and emotionally-charged helping to build them not only as characters but as a learning experience for the player. The character writing isn't Shakespearean but it doesn't have to be. It's grounded and that's a really big strength. I honestly disliked some characters early on but by going through the game, it peels parts away, revealing areas that make them feel less like a caricature and more like a person.

It's not just the characters, the music enhancing literally every scene, the way voice actors can sell a line so convincingly, the plot that kept me guessing and theorising, the aesthetic, everything about this game is done with so much passion. I haven't ever cried to a game before but this game managed to pull it off in a way that I believed only shows and movies could. I had no idea a game could be such an experience, I really didn't.

I'm in my last year of school and this game has reminded me of what I should value in the couple days I have left before everyone goes their separate ways. I should value the relationships that I'm lucky enough to have and to form new ones whenever the opportunity arises. I'm a bit surprised I wrote something so sappy for a review but that's all the more reason to give this game a try. It might change you in ways you weren't prepared for; in ways that'll remind you what's important in life, in ways that make you grateful and maybe, just maybe, in ways that help you face yourself--the "worst" parts.

I thought that everything possible was already being said about this game, but I`d like to say something.

This one persona game is being my first one in the series and I don`t think that I can tell anything unique and cool about the advantages related to it. Because you can see thousands of opinions everywhere. In my opinion persona 4 is 100/10

One thing that is really disturbing and feels like a lack of ideas or time till the deadline. The game feels so excellent in first 3 months, but in the winter I was really upset with so many timeskips, for what? What was that for? For me it was like losing the potential of this melancholic season. like the only thing Atlus could come up with was skiing? I thought that winter would be like a period of reflection, when we will have meetings with everyone, because like that would hit player so hard seeing long period of town`s and citizens` recovery and after all spring comes - everything is “reborned” and full of life like it was a year ago. And only after that main character calmly leaves the town... I just imagine how spectacular that could have been. Why didn`t we have any time to chew that bitter reality of consequences of this fog, murders itc? I don`t know how that staff is being made in newer games in the series, but I hope with new p4r we won`t have such a cut ending.

(For those people who would think that I got bad ending and missed a lot of content - I got the true ending).

- I got spoiled for who the killer was and I still really enjoyed it. It was full of twists and turns.

- All of the characters are super lovable and they actually feel like a group of friends. Great Interactions too.

- Coming from Royal, it was definitely a step down, but not as bad as I thought it would be. Imo it holds up pretty well.

- The dungeon design wasn't great, but it gets better as the game progresses. The 6th and 9th dungeons were especially good.

Genuine perfection, one of the best games I've ever played, the story is impeccable, the characters are so memorable and has the most wholesome moments out of any game I've ever played, I also really enjoyed the mystery element behind this game and the fact it always keeps you guessing, I don't say this a lot but game of the year 10/10 would recommend would also play again (most likely gonna do)

Game about white hair mc watching a netflix orginal called the midnight channel with his bro yosuke the average junes worker and accidently got so immersed in the show they entered the tv allowing them to meet paddington who said "bro them netflix removed my ass, how about we ruin thou ♥♥♥♥ fr fr". So you, yosuke and paddington decided to sabatoge the first half of sherk where he saves the princess, almost dropped the soap in the steamy bath house with the men ;), a stripclub documentery, movie adaption of a video game, a soviet bunker, the mario 64 sky level, and your home town.... BY THE MYRIAD TRUTH ♥♥♥♥♥/10 this game made me feel so inspaired by exposing the truth I exposed my bulgarain friend to his gf about him being a pdf <3

I literally love everything about this game, I love games with great story and Persona 4 Games (like the others Persona games) don't miss. I also love the character developments and executions that makes them very loveable, even if most of the characters follow a common trope (but it's about the execution, and it's well executed here in P4G). Inaba also feels alive with the interactive NPCs and how I can receive quests from them too, Persona 4 Golden is just amazing!

I can’t believe I’m writing this in 2026 about a game that originally released in 2012, but wow — Persona 4 Golden is absolutely worth your time.
Coming from Persona 5 Royal, I expected the gameplay to feel dated — and yeah, the combat is a little more cumbersome and less refined by comparison. You can definitely feel that it’s from an earlier era of the series. But honestly? That barely matters.
The music is incredible — track after track just hits. The story completely hooked me, and the way everything builds toward the ending is so satisfying. When the credits rolled, it genuinely felt like everything was tied together perfectly. Few games stick the landing like this.
What really makes this game special, though, is the cast. The characters feel real, their friendships feel earned, and by the end you see them change and grow
Even in 2026, Persona 4 Golden stands tall. It may not have the flash and polish of its successor, but what it has is heart — and that’s what makes it unforgettable.
This game is just… wow.

If you like JRPGs, this is one of the best ones ever made.
