I would recommend this game.
I purchased this game when it was on discount. Its a nice little story. Feels like a lot of passion and care when into the project. Keep in mind it is more of a story than a game, and you are on railroad tracks. If at some point you want your main character to say screw it and head to the pub well thats not going to happen.
It is a little frustrating not really knowing mechanically how things work as I just maxed out medicine the whole way figuring that would get me out of most problems but would often fail other skill checks.
The rewind feature for future playthroughs is nice so you aren't having to click through the whole game and it just fast forwards to where your other choices are so you can get most of the story in a quicker fashion. Yea would recommend if you like the setting its done well enough.

Mixed Feelings – Positive Rating But I Cannot Recommend It.
A visual novel roughly every 5 pages you are presented with a binary choice, some choices matter while others do not. The writing feels simplified and straightforward, most options are clear opposites like attack or escape, stay or leave, trust or not. I chose the more indirect option to avoid missing information, but the answer gets sloppy sometimes, for example, once when I chose to hesitate instead of straightforwardly trust, the NPC simply answered "We had no choice” and automatically rewound to force the other decision.
This is not a good port.
You earn exp from certain events and use it to upgrade traits. The protagonist is a physician, yet the plot requires him to have extensive knowledge of chemistry and physics, knowing exactly how to mix chemicals to burn down a medical lab. It's mostly unrealistic.
Another issue is female characters from tribes almost immediately trust the protagonist, sharing sorrows and quickly sleeping with him. It happened too abruptly and repeated twice in the game.
Early on the plague seemed like the result of illegal pharmaceutical experiments, complete with a suitcase full of cash, reminded me of The Constant Gardener. In the end, however, it connected to a [spoiler]cult, not particularly Lovecraftian[/spoiler] in my view, and the full revelation only comes in the last part of the final chapter. I received a shining achievement in the final confrontation with the cult and achieved a victory ending, I’m unsure what ending most players got.
The game shows which achievement you just missed immediately after a choice is made, but there is no way to go back. I'm not fond of this mechanic, it only disrupts the experience, being told immediately that I missed something spoils the story, and feels like the devs nudging me toward their preferred choices.
Overall, it is not an exciting game, the story quality could be better.

The game's writing is too hasty and full of typos. The story has wild twists and turns which make your previous choices feel somewhat insignificant. I consider myself a Cthulhu mythos fan and even for me the payoff wasn't worth it.
It's a simple enjoyable game if like the lovecratian writing style, but don't expect anything big. It's exactly what it looks like in screenshots.

Ah, this is a bummer. I asked the devs for a key, and they very kindly gave me one. So I'm bummed that I have to give this a thumbs down. [i]Omen Exitio: Plague[/i] starts with a cool premise, stylish art, and a vibe that could have carried a great Lovecraftian adventure, but the game fumbles almost everything past the intro. The story railroads you hard, the characters feel like cardboard stereotypes, and the RPG system barely matters. The pacing wobbles between slow, scattered, and downright nonsensical, making the whole thing feel more like a long, messy visual novel than the choice-driven horror mystery it tries to be. It looks good and sounds good, but it just doesn’t play good.
[b][h2]Pros:[/h2][/b]
✅ Art and presentation. Rarely do text-based games or choices matter game have such a great UI and images. I loved how there's a little picture to go along with new environments and characters. It fits into the world, too, and makes sense that a soldier will have these little sketches. There's some ambient sounds, as well: campfires crackling, waves crashing, or creaking deck boards.
✅ Interesting early-game premis. The beginning of the game, particularly boot camp and the early military training, allows some meaningful customization. You can improve skills like agility, fighting, or persuasion. There's also a historical and supernatural disease concept that hint at an intriguing Lovecraftian mystery.
✅ Writing has little to no typos. Clearly polished.

🟥 Characters are unrealistic, melodramatic, and shallow. The protagonist and supporting cast behave like caricatures rather than real people. It's just hard to bond with any other character because it's clear they're there for plot circumstances. Secondary characters—such as the Italian cook, cold British officer, drunk Irishman, gluttonous fat man, and exotic “native” women—are stereotypical, underdeveloped, and fail to elicit genuine emotional investment. There's just no backstory, no bonding, no any connection at all.
🟥 Story is overly linear. I thought—and early gameplay seems to imply—that player decisions will matter. But the narrative constantly forces the player down a predetermined path. There's a lot of plot-critical mistakes, e.g. being stolen from, entering into combat, and a lot of fainting. I just felt like my choices didn't matter, except at the end. The map, while super duper cool, serves little purpose. I believe the main character must visit all locations anyway, making exploration feel pointless.
🟥 RPG mechanics feel sorta meaningless. While the game offers five main skills and skill checks, it's quite clear how "gamey" the skill checks are. Get your experience, put them into what you want, pass. There doesn't seem to be much consequence to failing.
🟥 Writing. While technically sound, I wasn't a fan of the prose. It was very dry and clipped. There's a lot of deaths. deus-ex-machina solutions, such as knocking the protagonist unconscious to resolve conflicts, which happened quite a bit. And the Lovecraftian horror is poorly executed, relying on awkward synonyms, tossed-in buzzwords, and fevered dreams—things I've already seen before.
🟥 Pacing and structure. The story jumps erratically between locations, events, and dream sequences. Some important events are resolved in a few sentences, while trivial situations drag on unnecessarily. The narrative feels repetitive, with the protagonist constantly fleeing danger or encountering similar “ominous” events multiple times.
🟥 Some UI issues. Little thing, but every time you got experience, the little animiated icon would show up. I didn't need to see it every page!

Yes, Yes, Yes - The premise was simple and easy to follow. It's rare for me to finish a game, and feel motivated to try for the alternative endings.

A really enjoyable game! It's atmospheric and interesting. Highly recommend for any Lovecraft fans.
I really like how the story and choices in it are given. While the 5 skills for the story adds some small but fun strategy to your choices.
Only thing that drags it down, is how you visit a lot of locations in the world, but they feel very disjointed. Meaning the story focus change to a new topic it feels, rather than continuing on the one you are on. Which also means some story choices you do become irrelevant sadly towards the end.

奔着克苏鲁风来的，其实克苏鲁要素极少，略失望，不过剧情还是不错的，叙事也挺符合个人胃口。翻译有些错误，多刷时没有存档点不太方便，但是3元已经是物超所值了。
大概4小时通关主线
- 算中评吧，可能这游戏有点老了，剧情挺普的，有这时间不如QQ上找个kp跑个比较经典的本
+ 背景是1896年，有一些现实中的知名科学家客串，如果对时代风貌感兴趣的话还是可以玩一下的
= 很传统的游戏书，支线比较少，虽然有数值点设置，但是检定成败与否也只影响后续一小段文本，不影响大支线，完全没必要上心加点
- 主角给人感觉就是很典型的英国男的，走到哪个殖民地睡到哪个殖民地，原住民都爱上我，[spoiler]最后靠睡女神拯救了世界[/spoiler]，恶俗啊
= 不过我是cdkey三块钱入的，所以也不差评了
剧本是亮点，沉浸感和节奏都很不错。
但游戏本身还是有很多，让我感到不怎么舒服的点：
1. 在我打完一周目后，直接把我的游戏存档删除了。我本来还想通过这个完全体存档，来回顾一下我这个存档中所做出的选择和整体的游玩经历，根据我的个人习惯，我还会将这些经历整理成自己的小说，但很可惜，这些都做不到了。
2. 总是弹出“你错失了一个成就”。我不认为自己是很追逐全成就的人，我也能够理解制作组这样做是为了让我们在多周目完成全成就的时候，能够结合历史选择来判断应该选择哪些选择来获得成就，又或者体验别的故事路线。但是这种“遗失感”让我感到很别扭，就好像作者在告诉我“你做出了错误的选择”一样，尽管我知道没有选择是绝对正确或者错误的，但这种否认的感觉让我感到不舒服。
（补充：二周目的时候，发现成就提示、历史选择和快进真的很好用！只不过故事的走向似乎并没有太多的变化）
3. 没有很让我印象深刻的人物形象。每个人物的出场和离去都是那么的短暂，除了迈耶先生，还有那位所谓的“友人”贯穿了全文，我对其他人基本没有留下什么印象，更何况迈耶先生也并没有展现出多么复杂的、立体的人物性格，他只不过是整个密教的一个符号。而“友人”，就是撒托古亚的信使们，它们的出现固然让我感到一丝兴奋，但也仅此而已。可能还是整个故事流程太短了，没办法支撑复杂的人物形象。
4. 音效没有沉浸感。这是让我感到最遗憾的一点，毕竟有着相当优秀的剧本。如果能和Scarlet Hollow一样，拥有丰富的人物立绘和符合情绪流动的音效，那我相信游戏的质量可以提高一大截。
总的来说，是一款佳作，但也仅此而已。

Played for 5.8 hours, unlocked 16 of 50 achievements. Reached one of 5 (?) endings, which I didn't expect or want - but found entertaining.
The story is well told. Some of the chapters are very dense, with lots of action. Every now and then there were scenes that somehow (probably due to my choice) also seemed very unfinished and moved on to the next phase quite quickly. The motivation of the game character was not always entirely comprehensible to me, e.g. the main character's increasing willingness to use violence. Nevertheless, the game often gave me the feeling that I could follow “my” attitude as the protagonist. I would perhaps have liked the option to “drop out” of the story. Even if you play quite passively, the story (naturally) pushes you in a certain direction (so that it continues).
Compared to other text adventures, however, the paths are really well laid out & atmospherically realized. I never got bored. The game didn't have to be much longer.

A game that is text-based has to rely on a solid story, and Omen Exitio's story shines brightly.
Globally, a very pleasant reading of a quality English translation (minor a few typos and repeated words here and there) where you make the occasional decision and have to assume them. No going back!
I recommend starting with the side story, titled The Beginning, first before the main story.
It'll have much more impact and you won't have to manage your character's stats, allowing the reader to fully immerse in the setting before the main game.
本地化很糟糕！中文字体特别丑质感很低（不知道是不是steamdeck游玩的原因反正字体和商店页面图不一样），不仅的地得分不清，而且居然还有口口的情况出现。支线剧情是没做汉化吗打开是空白的。
翻译水平低下，错译一大堆，随便说几个注意到的：不知道为什么要把unwashed bodies翻译成“肮脏的胴体”，病人身上正在流血的lesion甚至翻译成“疮疤”（意为愈合后留下的疤痕），这个翻译给人一种中文英文全都没学好但要出来卖弄的感觉，smirk这个简单的单词甚至翻译为“幸灾乐祸的假笑”这样明显和原文有偏差的复杂情绪，至于把how prepared they were翻译成“是否做好了准备”已经算小问题了。
游戏整体是coc桌游味，选择并不会对故事造成什么影响。故事很老套，异国他乡遭遇神秘经历从此被噩梦缠绕，这种情节放在桌游里互动性或许会强点，而此游完全是让玩家被迫接受强加的情节走向。男主时而和古神有来有回时而连普通人都打不过，神情恍惚成这样了还到处艳遇，真是充满意淫味。

Si bien podría contar con más funciones y posibilidades, es una forma de reeditar aquella colección de libros donde tenías que escoger opciones que determinaban el futuro del personaje. A mejorar, también, el uso de algunos efectos visuales más pero me gusta la filosofía del juego, es sincero en lo que ofrece y me resulta entretenido. En cuanto a la temática lovecraftiana, es cierto que aparece, de momento, de refilón (llevo 20h. jugadas) pero se hace notar, con las consecuencias y el peso que el personaje, constantemente lleva a cuestas.

While some choices feel predetermined, the game still gives a strong sense of freedom despite its linear structure. If you're a fan of Lovecraftian horror, cerebral storytelling, and an experience that doesn’t rely on shooting monsters to deliver dread, this is definitely worth playing!

游戏整体是围绕克苏鲁神话一系的背景来写的，整个游戏游玩过程带入感很强；特别是很多时候即使做了想要拯救别人选择，也会因为自己的实力不够，致使一些本来可以救的人牺牲，而产生深深的无力感；结局做得很好，没有很突兀的感觉，推荐想要了解这类小说的玩家推荐体验体验，流程不长，短小而精悍。

这是一款不算特别恐怖的视觉小说类游戏，个人觉得好玩但总体而言褒贬不一。
单看游戏的话可玩性还不错，每个选项的加点都决定着故事的发展方向，也有攻略。
但对全成就党格外不友好！首先它不能手动存档，只有死板的被动存档方式；其次，攻略虽全但不完善（有很难理解的地方）导致部分结局格外难打出来；最后，即便可以快进已读段落，想体验到全部的游戏内容依旧很浪费时间。
个人建议先自主玩通一次主线+支线后再肝全成就，否则把主线剧情都体验完后基本没耐心体验支线了，更别提肝支线结局了。
不过支线确实通俗易懂（肝），不用考虑哪个选项加多少点，快进剧情就行了，而且短小精悍，体验感比主线强不少。
两条线认真玩下来大概也就5个小时左右的体量，不过要想看完剧情做完成就那就不好说了。
礼貌好评吧。
全成就党注意：英雄纪念的结局可以既睡觉又接受，然后跑的时候故意不跟着光跑直接战斗并且打不过就完成了（网上的攻略推荐的都是不睡觉或者不接受导致只能通过最大的医疗来对抗，但说实话我试了至少5次都没成功，反倒是我说的方法一次成）其他结局的成就或许可以举一反三，没精力验证了。
光耀未来的结局尤其难达成，但是结合英文中文攻略一步一步走下来倒也好，不跟攻略走貌似很难完成。
This isn't the best interactive fiction game I've played, but for what it is, it works well. The RPG stats and inventory system are simple but functional. The choices you make have some impact on the story, but none of them can change the direction of it. For the most part, the story is on rails aside from some small details in each chapter.
However, the writers of this game are obviously big fans of H. P. Lovecraft, and if you are too, you'll dig this game. This game has a strong atmosphere of dread, and the writing, art, and music fit together well. There is nothing overtly supernatural until the final chapter, which makes the story feel very grounded and believable. Very paranoid and oppressive!

I want to preface this by saying that the story itself was intriguing, the writing was good for the most part and it will be an enjoyable experience for some people, depending on their personalities and previous knowledge of Lovecraft's literature. The development team had a good idea for a game, but unfortunately a few, seemingly minor aspects negatively affected some of the most important story beats to the point that it made me regret spending the 9 hours it took me to complete it. I'll further explain them below. I wish the development team nothing but the best and i hope they stick with their next project while learning from the feedback they receive on this game.

[*] You'd expect greater freedom regarding personalization in character customization from a text adventure game, at least compared to what you see in most other videogame subgenres. And, to give credit where it's due, some decisions can be solved with different skill checks. However, this game also proves incredibly restricting in how you customize your character, especially early on. To give some context, it starts you off with a small "personality test" during a dynamic situation, where your stat attributes are allocated depending on how you approach it. However, if you don't build your character with some specific attributes, on speficic levels [spoiler] especially during the ambush in the last african village that you visit with your squadron [/spoiler], you get forced into failing some important story beats because the game doesn't really give you enough upgrade points by that time to make up for it. It basically punishes some players for none other reason than their personality and immersing themselves in the RPG aspects of the game.
[*] The game, like many others, intentionally or unintentionally indirectly communicates to the player some mechanics present throughout it's entirety: directly facing off foes usually involves either Fighting or Agility and sometimes Observation skill checks. Failing them often harshly punishes the player by removing items from their inventory, even important key ones. There are, understandably, a lot of skills you need to keep up to date and the points that the game offers you are limited. The way you allocate them is by leveling each one once every chapter and when a you're faced with a corresponding scenarion that requires that specific skill check. However, all of this is thrown out of the window, where the final encounter is decided by a single [spoiler] speech skill check [/spoiler], which you have to upgrade not once, but TWICE, despite that decision being irrational, leaving you with less that enough remaining points to allocate to much more important skils for the situation given. This lead me into an underwhelming ending and made me feel cheated of the hours i invested in this game. In my opinion, when the vast majority of your playerbase get bad endings, and they're not at least split between them and the normal ending, which provides a satisfying conclusion (not to be confused with true secret endings, which usually provide hidden insights and are supposed to be harder to unlock), it's a good indication that some changes are needed.
[*] When you finally meet the [spoiler] "secret friend" [/spoiler] , you're faced with a rather confusing dialogue option at the end of his speech because it's description involves far too many things that the player might have opposing views on. It felt unclear whether i was asked if i'm agreeing [spoiler] about the existence of an entity, about the world i was in being real, about him being truthful and wanting to help me or if i'm simply asked if i agree to help him or not [/spoiler] . This lead me, again, to a very confused decision that i regretted later on.

It's very much a shame, because the story was enjoyable, the ideas behind it were good and there aren't too many flaws that drag the game down. However, the ones that are there affect such vital parts of the story that they can leave the player with a sour taste about the whole experience. Underneath this all, there's a fairly good game. I just didn't enjoy playing it by the end.

Omen Exitio is a wonderful Lovecraftian story. This game is very reminiscient of the old choose your own adventure books that I used to read in elementary school. Easy recommendation from me!
忘记多少钱买的了，十块钱左右的话可以考虑入，毕竟全部是静态图片，故事我看不懂，选项所造成的结果不能理解，情绪也不能代入，可能中西方文化差异？不懂。不过我还是坚持打完了一周目。谢谢制作。
A page-turner of a choose-your-own-adventure book with nice illustrations, inspired by history and classic works of cosmic horror. It starts off with the protagonist, a doctor in the British Army, swept up in a conflict in 1890s Zanzibar. Encountering, at the same time, a deadly ancient enemy that would soon be dubbed a "virus" by Victorian scientists, including some real-life figures encountered in the story.
The setting changes multiple times, as the good doctor attempts to unravel the secrets of the new disease and a mysterious organization taking a keen interest in it of their own. While questioning his own sanity as terrifying visions of Lovecraftian horrors haunt his dreams and begin to intrude on his waking hours.
Along the way, the player is presented with many choices, some of which require a test of the skills they've selected to level up. If the player attempts to be a jack of all trades, this will limit their agency in the story noticeably.
For my part, I chose in my early playthroughs to focus on two facts about the main character of my story. He is a doctor, a man of science and reason with the hands of a healer, and he is a soldier, unafraid to throw hands when the situation dictates. This led to him being quite an admirably heroic man of action, and the story of his exploits fun to read.
On subsequent playthroughs, I leveled other skills and discovered ways to defuse situations with the right words or a well-timed feat of athleticism. This combined with the game offering a "fast-forward" for pages already read, and displaying choices already selected, has added replay value to what is otherwise comparable to a feature-length film.
I've enjoyed my time with it, and I'm interested to see the next interactive story from the developers.

第一次玩的时候还没有中文，但是体验已经很不错。心血来潮重新打开一看，翻译文笔挺好的。

【游戏评价】一部十分出色的洛夫克拉夫特式互动小说类游戏，剧本节奏明快又引人入胜、翻译水平也相当优秀（虽然有些许错别字）、配乐数量虽然不多但与各种场景的表现高度贴合。个人认为与主线相比，支线对人物的刻画更加立体丰满。这也许是因为主线数量众多的选项与分支既使主角人物形象的可塑性有所提高，但同时也在选项前后冲突时使人物形象产生了割裂感。
【成就建议】由于游戏采用了自动存档机制，且不少成就的前提条件都比较相近，因此建议在各个重大选项前先退出游戏手动备份存档文件并适当备注节点名，可有效减少全成就耗时。
【游戏体会】“人类经常受限于强大的存在或其他宇宙力量。但这些存在与其说是恶意的，不如说是对人类漠不关心。”洛夫克拉夫特这一“宇宙主义”观点，与我国法家代表人物老子《道德经》中的“天地不仁，以万物为刍狗...”在本质上颇为相近。如能理解这一理念，或许就更容易透过登场人物遭遇的种种无端苦难，看到其中所蕴涵的、宝贵的人性光辉。天地不仁如何？至少，我们仍可以彼此以诚相待。古神无道又如何？起码，我们依旧能在苦难中团结一致。
好玩好玩，一周目的时候没怎么加点战斗结果吃大亏了，后面直接改走战斗军医。打了8个小时拿了35个成就感觉还可以，不至于说很折磨。但是这个存档有点死板，没办法精确回溯到某个章节。
Отличная графическая новелла в лавкрафтианском жанре. Хорошо нагнетает саспенс и атмосферу преследования, во время первого прохождения я получил огромное удовольствие. Механики как таковые отсутствуют, вы просто выбираете строчку в диалоге, иногда совершая проверки навыков.
Из минусов отмечу только то, что как и в других играх жанра, наш выбор влияет не столько на итог, сколько на то, как мы к нему придём, создавая иллюзия выбора.
完全没有不可名状的恐惧感，感觉只是套了一个克苏鲁的壳，本质上是中年丧偶医生勇闯邪教组织的冒险游戏。第一章的时候好歹还有点阴森的氛围，后两章恐怖感已经完全不存在了，一切非常的公式化。
虽然我花了很大精力打了无数遍还为此游写了全成就指南，但不代表我就一定要打好评。
主线完全就是包装精美的一坨，故事稍嫌老套了不过写得还算用心，其实模仿爱手艺文风这点我是好评的，但！是！[spoiler]靠滚几次床单就能在奈亚的手里拯救世界[/spoiler]这种神经剧情你说出去别人还以为我们克系是多么不正经的体系……大处着眼小处就不着手了就那什么就支配大脑了？点了那么高的技能合着就只为花式嘴遁？[spoiler]只要不和谁谁过夜就拿不到好结局？[/spoiler]真的有病啊有大病。
反而支线流程巨无敌短且结局判定离奇但味倒是对的，没有什么乱七八糟的过夜戏码，各种结局也都很好很克，[spoiler]最后日记本根据流程给的不同尾页也很有意思[/spoiler]，再次声明此差评和支线无关。
经典款克系游戏，好！

支线故事比主线好看，主线后期有一些看得我笑了一下的白男风味情节，很毁气氛......如果没有那些桥段大概算得上无功无过，挺普通的故事，作者对cm的理解显然在我眼里不太到位，不过市面上大部分打洛式标签的游戏这方面都半斤八两，也没报太大期待()没看原文但中文翻译文笔不错，并且支线有几个结局还蛮萌，研究怎么刷全成就的过程似乎比玩游戏本身更好玩点.总之为了支线跟翻译，打折买的价格也不贵，就还是打个好评

Выбери себе приключение в мире лавкрафтового мифа. Еще и прикольные щупальца на превью. И ролевые механики, а не просто выбор строчки.
Удивительное.
У меня смешанные чувства по поводу игры. Технически она сделана просто великолепно - механики выбора и прокачки навыков, визуал, музыкальное сопровождение. Но провисает и вызывает вопросы самое важное - сюжет. Когда-то я читал интересный тезис, что в первом "Индиане Джонсе" заглавный герой вообще не нужен и особо не герой, ведь его наличие или отсутствие никак не меняет концовку фильма. Играя, я вспомнил эту мысль снова. Здесь главный герой подобен листу на ветру, который мотает по всему миру злая судьба, каждый раз как будто случайно сталкивая его с одним и тем же противником. И вроде он что-то пытается менять к лучшему, но каждый раз, как у библейского Иова, успех просачивается сквозь пальцы, как песок. От того и сделанные вами выборы будут в основном иллюзорны, как минимум до последней главы, которая все и решит. Наверное, в такой беспомощности протагониста и заключается ключевая отсылка к творчеству Лавкрафта.
Плюсы.
- Стилизованная под рукописный дневник графика с карандашными рисунками и тревожная, задумчивая музыка прекрасно погружают в атмосферу.
- Ролевая система интересна в своем развитии - не Disco Elysium, но значимость каждого навыка чувствуется. Особенно, если не читать руководств-спойлеров, сильно облегчающих прокачку и превращающих игру в прямую линию. Впрочем, как минимум пара идей быстро придет в голову и вам самим.
- Яркие и обманчиво дружелюбные образы главной организации-антагониста и его представителей, а также таинственной силы, помогающей герою. Там все очень неоднозначно, и это здорово.
- В игру вплетены разные исторические личности и события, порой трактуемые в контекст лавкрафтового мифа.
Минусы.
- Сила творчества Лавкрафта - в ставке на неведомый, непознанный ужас, скорее безумие, нежели телесные повреждения. Здесь же (пусть это и сильно обусловлено сюжетом) очень много ужаса приземленного и натуралистичного, с картинками, смакующими описаниями и даже озвучкой. То, что называют боди-хоррор.
- Напишу отдельным пунктом продолжение предыдущего - некоторые сцены явно не для слабонервных, особенно беременных.
- Побочные истории в меню названы во множественном числе, но их всего одна. И это приквел про написание дневника, ставшего важнейшей уликой оригинальной игры. Это намекает, что в этой истории ничего хорошего произойти в принципе не может. Будьте готовы к почти десятку разных способов умереть или сойти с ума.
- В какой-то момент лихая судьба заносит героя в Провиденс. Но только для того, чтобы он сразу умчал по одному из дальнейших маршрутов. А ведь можно было случайно свести его с одним жившим в том городе молодым человеком, который только-только собирался опубликовать свои первые таинственные рассказы. Обидно!
- Быстрой прокрутки прохождения и множественных слотов сохранения я не обнаружил. Если побочную историю еще можно быстро прощелкать, чтобы оценить все концовки, то основная слишком длинная. И, как вы понимаете, проходить ее придется ради каждой концовки с самого начала.
В целом, игра достойная и заслуживает ознакомления, рекомендую всем любителям мастера. Насчет грядущей второй игры серии - буду смотреть на отзывы и какие-то подробности, автоматический занести в вишлист пока не готов.

主线主角真就天选之子，漂洋过海半个地球还活蹦乱跳的，打的时候想的是“这都能活？”
对比支线主角就是真倒霉蛋了，剧情往死里造，打的时候想的是“这都能死？”
还得是支线更好味，又臭又长的主线比不过短小精悍的支线。好评是给支线的，人物塑造立体而且讨喜，甚至觉得支线的主角小队更适合当克苏鲁神话背景下的主角，可惜他拿的是原旨克苏鲁小说剧本，而主线主角拿的是跑团战役剧本而且还有泄洪主持人在捞他。

А в целом продвигаться по сюжету порой даже было занятно - есть некая нелинейность, есть взрослые темы. Но сам антураж колониальных времён не особо приятен. Это всё про довольно тяжёлые времена и книга охватывает те события лишь поверхностно. Красок тут очень не хватает, хоть иллюстрации довольно качественные. Это всё уже видено перевидено в куче подобных лент про африканцев, туристов из нового света, мистики и т.п. Тут даже есть прокачка персонажа, от которой зависит успех в некоторых выборных моментах.
В таком бы оформлении почитать действительно интересные сюжеты, где можно самому влиять на развитие событий. Да и иллюстрации бы покачественнее. Даже в 90-х и 2000-х книги встречались намного ярче.
В общем, потенциал есть, но сама история на любителя. Также без русского перевода много теряется. В отзывах есть более конструктивное мнение знатока английского.

一次性剧情游戏，不会让我想再玩第二遍，故事也没有给我留下什么印象。游戏做一下分支剧情就算了，roll点，选属性成长什么的在我看来完全没有必要。
文字游戏，但很有趣味。
真是酣畅淋漓的美模，但是存读档做得太烂了…故事中规中矩，4块钱买个可以重复探索的低自由度美模也不算上当。以及，亨廷顿医生这条命也太耐造了，打完第一章心情是“我怎么没死？”，第二章“我居然还没死？”，第三章“我怎么还没死？”

说真的，我是算比较认真的游玩了这个游戏，虽然说这部作品其实有很多可取之处和个人风格，比如说中文翻译的文笔非常好，但是还是想给一个不推荐。文笔在怎么犀利也改变不了游戏剧情的薄弱和枯燥，我没有看到我期待看到的克系的不可名状的恐怖，而是看了一部和邪教斗智斗勇的故事。。甚至说没有啥悬念，看了开头就能猜到结局。而且有些地方真的比较割裂，比如刚刚经历丧妻之痛的男主居然接二连三的和几个女人（神）滚床单了，就。。。
回到游戏本身，我是无法想象一个靠roll点触发剧情的游戏为什么会没有sl选项。。每次错过都要重新打。。。而且很多触发剧情需要我们怼一些数值，但是数值又不能继承，只能反反复复重新打，玩到后面实在是有点疲劳，50个成就不知道要试到什么时候去。。没必要让玩家玩的痛苦不是吗？
游戏一直到最后才出现一点点克系元素，也见到了我奈亚子老婆，但是真的没有想象中的让人震撼，剧情太白开水了，很多人物出场都仅仅是走个过场。。
总的来说，可能更适合于喜欢看纯小说的朋友吧，但是我个人认为即使如此，这个故事也不是很有趣。。深思熟虑还是选个不推荐吧（其实可以给个中评的，但是木有这个选项。。）

Excellent interactive book. The atmosphere was palpable, the choices and consequences are well done, the visual style and accompanying OST fit well.
It is however very short. Not sure if it is worth to replay, besides achievements.

I find it hard to give negative reviews, especially to smaller teams however with Steam offering only binary options, I can't help myself.
What starts as an interesting and intriguing story, gradually turns into random and crazy collection of events that I didn't find immersive. While this game certainly has its positives, I just can't recommend it in general.
[b]PROS[/b]
+ Artwork - beautiful hand-drawn illustrations that perfectly accompany the written story.
+ Sound design - good choice of background music and sound effects that are well aligned with each page.
+ Promising start - solid beginning that catches your attention.
+ Story controls - it is very easy to go back and forth in the story, as a fast reader, I didn't feel slowed down at all.
[b]CONS[/b]
- General story quality - over the time, the story turns into rather chaotic and fast-paced narration. There are multiple similar situations, multiple dreaming sequences (that suck in 95% of games), you don't have a chance to form any deeper bond with characters as they leave quickly. Some important situations are handled in 1-2 pages while some less important span over several pages. The more I progressed with story, the more I found myself just clicking fast without reading every single detail. The end is not really satisfying. In general, I would prefer sticking to the realistic side of things rather than go full fiction in later chapters.
- UI - user experience is not the best. Notification of new information is too visible, icons don't need to be animated every time something changes (simple dot/badge would be enough). There is basically no need to open other screens, as map is completely useless and static except few occasions, character profile is only important to update your stats and notes barely bring any value.
- Stats/skills - there are 5 main skills but they basically don't matter at all. It's not worth it to spend experience points on your own as every decision is just a plain skill check and best tactic is to spend points on the skill you need to pass the check at that moment. It's not that you would be building different classes or anything like that.
- Achievements - it is easy to fail an achievement and they way how the game communicates it feels like a real failure. I failed first 5 or 6 achievements and felt like I'm totally losing the game (even though it's basically impossible to lose).
In general, I don't want to be too harsh, I still kinda enjoyed the time spent, especially the first third/half of the game. Would be something like a 6/10 for me but I got it on sale. I believe there are many lessons to be learnt so next game can be much better.
我玩过最好的克苏鲁类型游戏，克苏鲁风味就是要通过文字描写才最纯正，再多的画面啊特效啊都只是有限想象力的贫瘠体现，只有纯粹的文字才是自由发挥恐惧的培养皿。而且本作最好的地方在于，仅靠口才和灵敏就能顺利一路跑到结局，完全符合本人全点嘴炮和闪避的习惯，契合度满分！
2小时通关，邪教故事，但前期有点拖拉，引入了很多无关痛痒的情节。
