Genuine peak gaming experience, 10/10; but as much as I love it, I cannot, in good faith, recommend this game to any new players. The community has basically excised all the casual players and the only people who play anymore are the people who ONLY play OS, and I cannot just sit around for 3-20 minutes in queue (not joking) for a game against some of the sweatiest ANIMALS to hop online. Devs said that they have a skeleton crew on the game and I honestly don't even believe that, all the dev updates and patch notes are in first person texts, I assume at this point that Aesop is the only person actually still alive working on the game. Just look up videos of it if you're curious about the gameplay but don't try it, save yourself the stress.
Enjoyed it, but can't recommend it when it's dead as hell. Unless you want to play against bots...

I cant say what the competitive / quickplay scheme was like because I was not here for when the game was alive, but seeing how much fun we have, i wish it wasnt taken out back and shot.
There are issues the game still has, mostly because the game devs have moved on from this game. But that doesnt make it any less fun.
10/10 would get violenced again.

Ever wanted to play air hockey but also throw your friends into a black hole? Me too, so Omega Strikers was a game I was introduced to. This game is phenomenal and I wish it hadn't been shot dead. If I had a genie, one wish would be for a Dr. Pepper, and the others would both be for reviving this game.

Alright I've played this game for 8 hours and I can say pretty confidently the game is pretty fun.
Now let me explain the good and the bad,
The Good:
Relatively Unique Take on a "Champion" (yes I play league) based game, rather than being your third or first person hero shooter slop, its soccer, or is it hocky?
Style and Music of the game is genuinely mwah beautiful great vibes hard to say anything negative about it
Fast paced skill based game, legit anything that happens in this game is pretty much a result of getting skill diffed, I rarely felt like my game was lost because I picked the soy pick
THE BAD, AHH SPPOOKY:
to be honest I think to discuss the bad I have to understand WHY this game dropped from 13k concurrent to the ~200 concurrent its at now, and for that I have to theory time and suggest this game died to retention issues, this game legit has close to no reward for just *playing* which is why most F2P games die, you get some emotes, titles and cards, thats pretty much it for long term play reward, so no one who is low skill has any real reason to continue to play if losing discourages them, thats my theory on why this game died even though it has a pretty strong lineup of pros.
The Bad TL;DR:
Game no have strong reward for long term play, game is heavily skill based making losing feel very bad.
Now I recommend this game solely due to the fact it *is* a good game, there is nothing horrible about this game, just a short list of crippling cons, I suggest anyone try to look at this game at face value, and simply just play.

Pretty fun game. I've been listening to the ost for years and finally gave it a shot! You can still find matches; but the queueing system splits the playerbase. I'd appreciate if they added an 'All Queue' or focused more on getting players together before the game mode is chosen. The Discord community is pretty nice!

this is exactly the kind of low entry high skill game that makes me want to sweat for hours. if i had at least two friends to play with i wouldnt put it down
installed the game again simply to get 2 hours of play time to buy the cosmetics on the steam point shop. Already had 83 mins of gameplay so just had to play for 40 odd mins. I only got to play 1 match in those 40 mins while 20 ish was spent looking for a game. While the wait was long the gameplay is still quite fun. Sadly no one plays so I cant get back the high from scoring from midfield for another 20 mins. Maybe promote the game and say that its getting a big update or something.
EDIT: Most character designs are rly cool, some are kind meh, but for the most part they are unique and well done. Wrote this right after posting the review, just remembered I forgot to write abt it.

I'm not sure how I hadn't reviewed this yet. This is by far the most diamond-in-the-rough game I can think of. The moment to moment gameplay is top notch, and anyone that's a fan of mobas or rocket league should absolutely be playing this game. It's a criminal shame this game didn't make money for the devs. If I had a million dollars to invest into something, this would be it.

This game is great for when you have something better to do. They say that the best time to be doing tasks and chores is while you're waiting for something else. The wait times in this game are so long that I can easily work on my thesis paper in between rounds, and then satisfy my ADHD for a couple of minutes if and when I actually get into a round. For any other purpose, the cost-reward ratio just doesn't add up, unfortunately.

Es realmente bueno, cuando lo probé fue difícil encontrar partida y las que encontramos eran contra gente algo experimentada en el juego, por lo que era terrible.
Pero en cuanto a mecánicas de juego, este es realmente increíble.
