Из подобных гоночных игр, что я пробовал, эта наиболее напоминает олдовые гонки с первой плойки. Просто покататься и посмотреть трассы в целом приятно, но управление кал. Лучше бы с таким графоном сделали, грубо говоря, овалы с противниками. Пусть даже полностью аркадные. Ездить тут в одно рыло неинтересно.

O jogo é bom, cumpre o que promete. Porém tive vários bugs durante a jogatina, o jogo travou e apagou me save quando estava na ultima competição, foras as diversas vezes que o jogo simplesmente fechou no meio de uma corrida, isso me frustrou bastante. É um bom jogo mas falta esse polimento, msm assim vale a pena.

Para quem jogou jogos de Rally nos anos 90 e começo dos 2000 vai curtir esse título, único aspecto que cai um pouco a avaliação é que é fácil demais. Jogo agradável para passar um tempo e fazer umas conquistas.
I bought this game on launch and after 7 hours the game broke and now when I launch there is a black screen, this glitch has not been fixed and once it happens. YOUR GAME IS BRICKED WITH NO SOLUTION, I've contacted devs to no avail I've used new installs of windows, wiping the games files and data, nothing but black screen and if u get past the black screen the finish line crashes the game. Its infuriating cuz i thought i fixed it but no only one race i can start and rally is broken.
Almost done with that last achievement to acquire all the cars...
It honestly wouldn't be such a slog if any of the cars were worth grinding for, but once you buy Mio Symphonic (which is the overall best car in the game that you will always take to the Time Trials), you never even touch the rest.
I wouldn't mind if the current ranking system was replaced by one where each car has its own leaderboard to beat on the different maps, so you would actually have an incentive to buy any or even all of them, to play with and master specific cars that others wouldn't and dominate with them or something of the sort. Until then, I'll be petty about this, even though I do like the game.
Bardzo przyjemna i relaksująca gra, za te cenę - rewelacja. Bawiłem się świetnie, brakuje dwóch osiągnieć ale może wpadną z czasem - nie chce mi się teraz robić 10 razy jednych mistrzostw żeby zebrać kasę na auta - może 20 lat temu by mi się chciało ;)
Skończyłem wszystkie pucharki, pograłem - fajnie, bardzo przyjemna gra, z wad:
- za późno pojawia się uwaga pilota - czasem czyta zakręt do które już się hamuję albo lepiej - już się w niego wjeżdża.
- dużo uproszczeń, np. symulacji zniszczeń (tylko jeden parametr)
- nie bardzo czuć różnicę w przyczepności na śniegu czy piachu - auto się nie "kopie" tylko leci jak po betonie ;)
- Nie ma żadnej konfiguracji, nawet podstawowych parametrów (jak np. w Sega Rally - wybór opon na mieszanych torach)
- być może przydał by się tryb Arcade, 3 krótsze tory które można maksować i wkręcać coraz to lepszy czas (jak wspomniana Sega Rally z 95 roku)
Czekam na więcej - może jakieś DLC z nowymi odcinkami i pucharami - na pewno wrócę.

Lovely made, captures a nostalgic feeling and works excellently.
it's good but the difficulties scale a bit too hard imo. doesn't really mesh with the amount of currency earned/buying new vehicles. not a deal breaker, the game is fun at a fundamental level and the physics feel like a very good balance of "realistic" and arcade. hard to describe but it's really fun.
i recommend turning CRT mode on, turning HUD off, and driving in dash view. very lit.

То что нужно чтобы сыграть один кубок в день и почилить вечерком.
Но меня занесло в режим на время с мировым списком лидеров и поставив время на нескольких трассах и попав в топ 160 (Аризона 1) и топ 70 (Аризона 2) проехав всё на машине класса ралли А и понимая, что я спокойно проеду на лучшее время на машине класса ралли S и займу более высокую строчку в списке лидеров, но тогда я потеряю свои результаты в более медленном классе.
Из выше сказанного хотелось бы увидеть список лидеров разделённый на классы машин, чтобы классические соревновались с классическими, а не с более быстрыми классами.
Ещё если в эту игру завезли бы нормальный мультиплеер, то эта игра бы была в лидерах аркадных онлайн гонок. У неё для этого есть надёжный фундамент, который открывает возможность, как заездов 1 на 1, так и соревнований формата ралли. Не считаю, что этой игре пошло бы на пользу, где игроки стартую с 1 по 8 место (у игры не тот формат, да и как бы она про ралли).
Тут я буду писать свои места занятые на разных картах, чтобы хвастаться!

Если подводить итоги: Игра для чилла подойдёт замечательно, но хотелось бы нормальный список лидеров с сортировкой по классам машин. Ну и онлайн в том формате котором рассказал, почему бы и нет.
Солидная раллийная игрушка с неподвластной времени графикой старушки консоли с хорошим выбором автопарка и трасс в разных странах и приятной музыкой.
игра неплохая но в ней очень мало контента, 32 машины на 24 трассы, если учесть что некоторые трассы это просто заезд в обратную сторону, то по сути их еще меньше
графон очень классный, для расслабона в конце дня это идеально, но надеюсь новый контент добавят, или хотя бы сделают редактор под мастерскую для этого

I recommend it on sale. I've almost finished all the rallies and there is enough in there, but it's just slightly too easy. I'm beating all the times by between 5-30 seconds without really trying. It's nowhere near as hard as it's inspiration Colin Mcrae Rally, that's for sure.
The setup stuff that's in CM is not present here, although I never enjoyed that particularly so I don't miss it. The damage is pointless however - I never struggled to repair, there were no hard decisions to make in that respect at all.
While the tracks are fine, they don't really have the 'character' that the CM games have. You don't really feel like you're in different places, with different kinds of road layouts. In the old games, when you go from tarmac to snow to gravel to mud, you really imagine you're in the UK woods or a Finland forest. I'm right near the end and not encountered any ice (lots of snow) and there is nothing as iconic as in CM when you drift around the quarry with the building vehicles scattered about for example.
Finally, the handling is also just 'fine'. The cars definitely don't drift enough, so you're not really going to go sideways around corners. You do grip more on tarmac, but in the PS1 game it's a real shock hitting tarmac after drifting on gravel. Here it's minor. It also means that you're never on the edge of control and so getting much satisfaction from nailing multiple turns.
I'm glad these tributes to old games exist, I enjoyed it and I hope they try again; it's a good first attempt. It's never making a best game of all time list but it's priced accordingly and it's scratched an itch for a few nights.

Old School Rally est un véritable petit bijou pour les amateurs de rallye et de sensations rétro. Le jeu réussit parfaitement à capturer l’esprit des classiques des années 90 tout en offrant une expérience fluide et moderne.
Les sensations de conduite sont excellentes : chaque virage demande précision et anticipation, ce qui rend les courses à la fois exigeantes et très gratifiantes. La direction nerveuse et le gameplay arcade donnent envie d’enchaîner les spéciales sans voir le temps passer.
Visuellement, le style old school est charmant et assumé, renforçant la nostalgie tout en restant agréable à l’œil. La bande-son et l’ambiance générale plongent immédiatement dans l’univers du rallye.
En résumé, Old School Rally est un jeu fun, efficace et terriblement addictif, parfait pour les passionnés de conduite qui aiment le défi et l’authenticité.

It’s a good game! The driving feels pretty good and modern, while the graphics are a nostalgic wobbly z-collision galore thing, just like on the PS1. A note on the driving physics, they feel closer to the PS1 Collin McRae Rally games, than say Sega Rally, maybe somewhere between the two.
I wish that there were more stages though. Maybe in a DLC or something.

5th gen gaming is where it all started for me, Soundtrack and graphics give that ps1/n64 aesthetic. Brings back a nostalgia back to those days before the world had gone to ♥♥♥♥.

Un très bon jeu qui porte parfaitement son nom.
Malgré des avis récents mentionnant un bug récurrent d’écran noir empêchant de jouer, je n’ai personnellement rien rencontré de tel en plus de 25 heures de jeu. Coup de chance peut-être, mais impossible pour moi de juger ce point.
Old School Rally rappelle fidèlement l’ère PlayStation / Nintendo 64, aussi bien visuellement que dans les sensations manette en main. C’est du rétro 3D assumé, et ça fonctionne.
Côté physique, il lui arrive parfois d'être… un peu aux fraises. Rebondir verticalement après avoir trouvé un caillou dans un virage qu'on a mal abordé en étant trop ambitieux ou découvrir qu’une barrière est manifestement faite en super glue, ça peut arriver. Heureusement, cela reste rare et ne gâche pas l’expérience de jeu.
La variété des circuits n’est pas immense, mais on n’a pas non plus l’impression de refaire éternellement les mêmes épreuves. D’autant qu’elles existent aussi en sens inverse, ce qui renouvelle suffisamment les sensations.
Les récompenses sont très modestes au regard du prix des véhicules, mais rien d'insurmontable. On peut raisonnablement compléter le garage en 20–25 heures si on le souhaite.
Mention spéciale au copilote : ici, pas de traître qui vous envoie dans le décor. On peut lui faire confiance il n'y a pas de fourberies de sa part, et quand on découvre une étape pour la première fois, ça fait toute la différence.
Les nostalgiques de la 3D “low-poly” y trouveront clairement leur compte. Personnellement, je me suis autant amusé que le mini-moi du millénaire précédent sur d'anciens jeux ressemblant à celui-ci.

Прикольный LowPoly дизайн, ненапряжные трассы. Саундтрек не шедевр, но довольно не плох.
Очень приятная физика машин. Кайфовая и медитативная ездилка.

Its not that I don't recommend the game, its just that there's no Neutral option. OSR scratches the no pressure, time waster arcade racer nostalgia itch fine. Its a simple, unpretentious game. However, the simplicity is the also the games greatest weakness.
Pros:
- Simple. Boot it up, pick a car and drive. No license tests, no story, nothing.
- The mix of 60', 70's, Gr.B, Gr.A and WRC cars is great.
- Mod support for real life liveries.
- Game pad support with no fuss.
Cons:
- Too simple
- Rally mode is a glorified time trail, with par times you will beat with 15-40sec to spare. There's no AI times to beat. A rally is essentially pass/fail until you beat the time.
- Pace notes are useless. Calls are often too late and too simple to matter. For example you might get a hard left call, when you're already slamming into the wall. Other times a call that should be a chicane just isn't called.
- The driving physics are odd. The cars don't slide. If they do, the car will slide to a complete stop. Use your hand brake on a hairpin? The car will stop instead of slide. There's no conservation of momentum.
- Really no discernable difference between driving on dirt, gravel and snow. The cars appear to have infinite grip no matter the throttle until they reach a certain slip angle where the game will simulate a slide.
- I wish the sounds of the cars mirrored their real life counterparts a bit closer. Also it appears NA cars have a wastegate soundeffect.
- The devs are looking into wheel support. Driving this game as it sits right now with a wheel would be an awful experience. I'm really not sure why they're bothering when there's plenty of improvements to the experience to made instead.
Don't look at my review and think all the cons mean I don't like the game. It just means there are improvements needed to make an enjoyable game better.

Sabe usar da nostalgia como um complemento da experiência sem nunca depender disso pra deixar o game realmente divertido. As pistas não são inventivas e nem os carros querem fugir à estética mais crua do game, tudo é propositalmente pé no chão e a diversão vem do quão bom é o feeling de dirigir e competir.
I enjoyed playing this one so much. It's focused on what matters on games: to be fun. It was a blast and very addictive to play.
The only downside: if you are aiming for the 100% achievements, there is ONE that was a bit too grindy to get: get all the 32 cars. It's a lot of unnecessary grind if you ask me. Although I understand the re-play value and intention but it was a bit excessive since you get all the other achievements organically when you play the full game

Когда-то мой батя очень любил серию Colin Mcrae Rally, да и мне нравилось смотреть, как он гонял по нарисованным сопкам. Потом, конечно же, попробовал сам. Игрушки цепляли простотой, они расслабляли после долгого рабочего дня. Да и виды завораживали, хотя я в те времена уже был знаком с NFS.
Казалось бы, что такого интересного в этом "ралли"? Просто берешь - и едешь в гордом одиночестве, даже соперников нет! Но не всё так просто. Нужно приехать во время, и по-первой задача кажется плевой и неинтересной. Однако, потом трасы становятся сложнее, повороты - чаще и резче, появляется азарт и адреналин. После n-ого количества проб и ошибок начинаешь судорожно подбирать авто, чтобы оно легче управлялось и не улетало в небеса при попытке преодолеть очередную колею - а это, между прочим, целая наука.
Так вот, Old School Rally дарит точно такой же опыт, только с налетом ностальгии. Не знаю, на что конкретно ориентировались разработчики, но я давным-давно я играл в Colin McRae Rally 2, которая выглядит и играется точь-в-точь как OSR. Так что игрушка, можно сказать, вернула меня в детство. Физика простая, к управлению можно привыкнуть, трассы понятные, саундтрек - мое почтение.
Словом, рекомендую! Особенно если вы такой же ностальгирующий старпер, как я.

Old School Rally is a very good and entertaining game, but it has some aspects that could be improved or changed.
When you crash into a barrier or fence, the car seems to get “stuck” or pulled toward it, and it’s difficult to move away. Also, in some maps there are invisible bumps; for example, in Japan SS1 there are areas where the car feels like it hits something that isn’t visible.
One of the main things I didn’t like is that in 2-player mode not all maps are unlocked, and the game doesn’t clearly explain how to unlock the remaining ones. To properly enjoy the game with a friend, all maps should be available. It’s not necessary to have all the cars unlocked, but the maps definitely should be.
Also, I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but the reverse gear feels extremely slow.
I’d really like to see improvements in these areas, because the game has a lot of potential and is genuinely fun.
Отличная игра. Графика приятная и достаточно гибко настраиваемая. Мало трасс, но много автомобилей, которые реально ощущаются по разному, достаточно приятный саундтрек, и в целом гоночка вайбовоя и шикарно подойдёт для ламповых посиделок с какао под боком. Серьёзно, игра не особо хардкорная, я не проиграл ни одной гонки.

This is a nostalgic game for me. It feels like rally game you find in an old arcade. It's not a difficult game but you do have to find the trick to it. Either you love it or you hate it.
Говорите что угодно, но это максимально трушные гоночки, прямо из начала двухтысячных с ПС1. Это не похоже на современные имитации, коих расплодилось в последнее время слишком много. То, насколько правдеподобно это выгладит и играется - меня, если честно, даже пугает. Но вот физика машинок больше походит на гоночки со второй плойки, и так даже лучше. Как они обыграли ночные карты - я вообще молчу. Низкий Вам поклон, дорогие разработчики. Вы делаете всё правильно. Единственное, хотелось бы видеть релиз этой игры нативно на линуксе, но это, скорее, несбыточные мечты.
Так же очень хотелось бы видеть более детальную систему повреждений, чтоб не только двигатель ломался, а так же износ шин.
Very satisfying, plays very chill, music isn't great but the gameplay is very good, took me 15 minutes to figure everything out, good selection of classic rally cars, both FWD, RWD and AWD.
What i didn't like too, was engine sound, all cars sound the same, i get that most of rally cars have 2L turbo engines but still. Either way great Indy game, especially for such a low price on sale. Def recommend for casual racing games enjoyers like myself.

Listening to some good music and locking in on time trail has become one of my favorite ways to wind down.
C'est un jeu très fun et agréable mais qui a un seul projet: servir pour de petites sessions arcade tout en surfant sur la vibe nostalgique.
Clairement le côté rétro est super bien rendu et c'est tout ce qui fait le charme du jeu.
Mais en dehors de ça le jeu n'a pas trop de profondeur: on fait des rallies, seul, sans adversaire (même pas un scoreboard avec des rivaux à la fin ou quelque chose du genre), c'est toujours hyper facile (j'arrache mes portières sur la moitié des arbres et je finis toujours dans le vert... bon non j'exagère mais c'est vraiment facile), les voitures font toutes le même son, les conditions météo ne changent pas grand chose, donc du même coup on n'a pas d'options de motorisation, pneus, etc ... on lance une partie on roule on gagne et voilà. D'autre part le grind est peut être un peu exagéré (j'ai joué 3h et j'ai pu acheter une voiture). D'un autre côté c'est sympa de devoir vraiment mériter les voitures comme à l'ancienne dans les Midtown Madness etc. Peut-être au lieu de devoir les acheter, les débloquer par divers challenges serait plus amusant ?
Mais malgré ces defauts c'est un jeu très fun et sympa pour une partie de temps en temps. Les décors sont chouettes et les modèles des voitures au top, on reconnait directement, et l'intégration avec le steam workshop est super aussi.
Je regrette les quelques petits manques car avec un tout petit peu plus de substance ce serait un jeu parfait.
Tengo 42 años y este juego me ha transportado directamente a mi infancia, cuando pasaba horas jugando a Colin McRae Rally o V-Rally en la PlayStation 1. Es nostalgia pura.
Es un juego divertido y bonito, con etapas cortas que no se hacen pesadas, lo que hace que no agobie en ningún momento. Es perfecto para echar unas partidas rápidas sin estrés, de forma totalmente casual.
Tiene ese aire retro que enamora, pero al mismo tiempo es agradable a la vista. En definitiva, es un juego muy divertido y tremendamente nostálgico.
When in doubt, go flat out
I think this game is worth buying, full price or discounted, but I would personally wait for a discount. Overall the game is fun, but there could be some improvements.
The game is too easy, over the course of me playing the game for 27 hours, I only couldn't meet the "best time" (which is the required time to beat a stage) once, or maybe twice. I usually beat the stages with lots of time to spare, sometimes by 30 seconds even. I wish there was like a hard mode for the Rally mode, this would give people the incentive to keep playing if it was unlocked after finishing the events normally or something. Also I wish there were more events, more content in general.
There are 4 classes of rally events, Rally A, Rally S, Classics and Open. Rally A is for standard powered vehicles, S class is for cars that are a bit more powerful, and Classics is for older cars. You can take any car to the Open rally events. There are also some extra vehicles you can buy, like a hearse and tractor, but I don't see the point of racing with these cars other than playing with a friend for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles. Most cars are recognizable from actual rally races, and even though I am not too good at remembering/memorizing stuff like that, I could easily recognize some of the cars.
There are 24 events to finish in total, and some are in varying lengths, like some have 4 stages and some others have 10 (and some in between).
I personally finished all these events in about 15-17 hours or so? But after you are done with these events there isn't much to do. You could try beating your ghost in time trials, or play against a CPU but I didn't see the point in doing those. I wanted to 100% this game because I really liked the driving mechanics, look and feel of the game, but after you are done with the rally events, you are just mindlessly grinding away at the Open D event (which is apparently the event that gives you the most money for your time) to buy all the cars. That is one thing that bothers me about this game, to 100% it, you just have to grind it, you wont be buying all the cars by playing and finishing all the events. One other thing that really bothers me is that while playing the Rally events, your stage times won't save. You may be breaking some sort of personal record on a stage, but you will never know because the game just won't save your best time for that stage, which is frustrating for me. I know for a fact that I am beating my best times in stages in the Open D event, but I will never know for sure by how many seconds or milliseconds.
To wrap up, I do recommend this game. (if anyone cares, my personal favorite cars are Gemini Tempo R for Rally A, Mio Symphonic and Balo 1 Turbo for Rally S, Avalache A1 for classics)

i know i might sound like a old man but DAMN this takes me back. me and my dad get comnpetetive over our rally sim games and he loves it for the fact that it reminds him of some small time game call richerd burns rally. the stearing is a bit wonk and you WILL slip and slide but other then that is is a AWESOME RBR throwback/ripoff or whatever you wanna call it. PS if the devs are reading this PLEASE MAKE A NASCAR THUNDER 2003 VERSON... I BEG OF YOU THERE ARE ZERO GOOD NASCAR GAMES ON STEAM!
