Много ли вы знаете игр сочетающих в себе FPS и RTS? Я вот ни одной если не считать ND. А ND собственно офигительная игрушка между прочим! Играй себе за 1 из 4 классов какой нравится больше либо жонглируй ими в соответствии с нуждами команды или сиди в штабе и помогай этой самой команде строя телепорты и суплаи. Онлайн к сожалению околонулевой но по пятницам и на выходных часто заходят игроки. Жаль что игрой теперь занимаются только фанаты да и тех полтора землекопа...

Nuclear Dawn might be a forgotten gem for many, but for me it’s been one of the best gaming investments I’ve ever made. While the online servers are practically dead these days, the offline experience still shines. Playing against bots gives me that satisfying mix of FPS combat and RTS-style strategy, and it scratches an itch that few other games manage to hit.

What makes it special is the hybrid gameplay: you’re not just running and gunning, you’re also thinking about resource management, base building, and tactical positioning. Even offline, the AI provides enough challenge to keep matches engaging, and the atmosphere of the post-apocalyptic world is immersive. The maps are well-designed, the classes feel distinct, and the pacing keeps me coming back.

Sure, it’s a shame the multiplayer community has faded, but as a single-player/offline experience, Nuclear Dawn is still worth every penny. For me, it’s proof that a game doesn’t need an active online scene to deliver hours of fun.

Verdict: A dead-online title that lives on as one of my favorite offline strategy-shooter hybrids.

Dead Game.
Crashes on Steamdeck.
Crashes on Windows.
When it manages to run, it will crash when you click play game.
When it finally works, you find there no servers. Nobody Plays this.
Dead game, and the Gunplay is terrible, no wonder nobody stuck with it.
Feels like you just wander and no shot actually connects, its just PPPFT. Each gun feels like a pea shooter.

Really cool hybrid, only wish there were more games like this, super rad of an idea not so much for execution with how useless the bots are definitely one of those games where you NEED players but its still a fun time regardless until it turns into a turret slug at the end anyway...

Great game overall, mainly suffering from a lack of players (and possibly date graphics by >2020 standards). Still that game was the first actually trying to bring something new in the squad-based PvP FPS. And it managed it well overall.

If you have a few friends, give this game a chance (just check before buying that servers are still online, not sure in 2025).

Nuclear Dawn is one of those rare titles that blends two genres and actually makes it work. No tuturial, controls are not working past any WASD and shooting basics when you are in shooter mode.

4 classes (with sub-classes included) providing different gameplay.

SADLY, THIS GAME IS DEAD LONG AGO.
It had deserved a way better future. R.I.P.

Thus, a massive chunk of achievements are impossible to obtain nowadays. And the rest of them suppose dozens of hours of grinding with bots which makes no sense in such team-based game like that.
Well, I got like 30% of them back in 2013 and it's not my fault I can't finish them properly.
At this point, I consider legit to make them opened.

While I usually wouldn’t recommend a multiplayer-focused game with such a low player count, Nuclear Dawn still offers some enjoyment in its Practice Mode against bots. It’s a hybrid FPS/strategy game with a simple leveling system and straightforward gameplay loop. While not groundbreaking, it’s entertaining in its own right.

That said, the AI is basic and sometimes unpredictable, frequently getting stuck in odd places. Since multiplayer is essentially dead, playing with friends is necessary to unlock all achievements. While I had a good time, I can’t confidently suggest going out of your way to buy it—though if you catch it on sale, it might be worth a look. It had its prime, and now it’s just okay.

i really want this game to succeed. its a fun combination of RTS and FPS that is extremely rare to find. there are, however, two problems that make this not recommended.

first and foremost, dead game. has been dead for a while, and games like this tend to need players to unlock its best gameplay.

but the most important thing that holds this back is the bots. i've played countless RTS games against AI and the likes. there are plenty of RTS games where there also is little to no players, but i enjoy them because i can still play a typical game against an AI opponent. in this game, there is no RTS commander, and therefore basically no reason to play because almost everything this game is relies on that.

Игра интересная, но в ней нет онлайна, а боты слишком тупые, даже базу не строят.
Лучше купить Экзимуз, там тоже нет онлайна (во всяком случае сам не заметил), но боты хотя бы по умнее и базу стоят, хоть я и не представляю как надо извернуться чтобы победить уничтожением базы, а не по очкам.

Pointing out the obvious, the game is dead, but it seems like it still has potential if you've got a group of friends willing to commit to it. You'll probably need 6 people total at least, both factions have slight differences in the class equipment/structures which I thought was kind of cool. This game is only $0.99 whenever it goes on sale.

My biggest gripe so far is it seems that whoever is the commander will realistically, probably never see the light of day during a match. You're rewarded far too much for micromanaging control over the map to the point where jumping out of command to join the fray for even a minute or two is just throwing the match. Even late game it's best you stay in command because you get three abilities on a 30 second cooldown each, including a "♥♥♥♥ you in particular" button.

My second biggest gripe is the rank system, you can play the game across multiple servers to rank up, and get new passives for your classes. This would be fantastic if the game wasn't dead, but it is, and nobody wants to grind for several hours just so they can have all the ranks unlocked for a private match between friends.

I've yet to get enough people together to play a full match, so keep that in mind. I do think if you're able to, it could be a lot of fun.

While I don't ordinarily recommend games so built around multiplayer with a single-digit player count, I think you'll get enough fun in the Practice Mode the game has against bots to have at least a little fun. Nuclear Dawn is a hybrid FPS/Strategy game, with a bit of a barebones levelling system and a more simple game loop. Nuclear dawn isn't the most innovative or revolutionary title, but it's suitably entertaining and decently fun.

It's hard to really say much beyond "I liked this". I can't really speak as to the balance, because there aren't any players. The AI is rudimentary at best, and oftentimes.... ecclectic with how they choose to act. Plus, they get stuck *really* easily, but it's also not a mode that was intended to be the main mode of the game. Plus, you will absolutely need friends or co-operators in order to get all of the achievements. Ultimately, while I had a good time and can't say it's a bad game - especially for the price point, I also can't necesaril;y say that you should go out of you way to purchase it.

It was fun in it's heyday, and it's ok now. Might be worth it on sale.

El juego está interesante, fue hecho en [b]Source[/b] y la movilidad se siente bien, al igual que [b]Natural Selection[/b] y [b]Zombie Master[/b] se trata de un híbrido de juego en primera persona y de estrategia en tiempo real, ya sea que juegues como soldado o como comandante.

Tiene una estética futurista decente, medio moderna, con algunas mecánicas copadas como poder hacernos invisibles y a su vez hay maneras para detectarlos. Eso combinado con varias clases y un sistema de puntaje, ambas cosas recuerdan un poco a [b]Battlefield[/b].

Ahora; ¿Cuál es el problema de este juego? Simple: En estos años lo han jugado entre 0 y 30 personas, es decir que es imposible jugar una partida multijugador y carece de bots lo suficientemente inteligentes para jugar solo, sin saber a donde ir, trabándose contra la pared. No importa que tan interesante se vea tu obra, si literalmente no lo juega nadie y no te deja una opción para jugar contra la máquina no hay mucho que se pueda hacer.

Один из самых необычных сессионных шутеров, в который мне доводилось играть.

Nuclear Dawn - это гибрид стратегии и шутера от первого лица, где вы играете за одну из противоборствующих фракций, захватываете точки, продвигаетесь к базе противника и уничтожаете его.
Самая необычная механика - это возможность одному из игроков стать командиром, который пойдёт в штаб и станет отстраивать различные ресурсодобывающие или обороняющиеся строения, проводить энергетические сети по карте и при этом он может быть убитым обычным игроком.
Великолепная игра, где сплетается идея постройки, планирования и достаточно хорошего шутера.
Я благодарен игре за отличнейшее времяпрепровождение, жаль что скорее она мертва, хоть и остались сервера, но играть приходится только против ботов.

Игра бомбо-пушка, но есть два больших минуса:
- слабый онлайн (людей на серверах очень мало, в основном боты)
- тупые боты (часто застревают в стенах, идут в бессмысленные атаки и умирают, нет ИИ командира - командовать, строить базу приходится игроку)

el juego es interesante. pero para empezar solo hay como 3 servidores aún en linea. si existe la definición de "juego muerto", saldría este juego. felizmente le agregaron la capacidad de juego offline en el que puedes poner toda cantidad de bots. el problema está en el que solo tienes 4 clases, de las cuales tienen de 2 a 3 armas. tienes que desarrollarlas en la misma partida. no sabría decir multiplayer pero offline los bots no pueden saltar un murito, se quedan dando vueltas, si te dispara una torreta del enemigo, sale como suicidio por alguna razon. solo tienes como 6 estructuras para construir. si pides a los bots medico o suministros sigue esperando a navidad porque nunca te hacen caso. por lo demás es un juego más o menos respetable si no fuera porque a la clase pesada solo le dan el arma primaria y la secundaria es una pistola de mano con solo 12 rondas, no cartuchos, rondas, balas, solo 12 asi que medio apenas se te acaba la municion de la primaria, los bots no te suministran nada y terminas simplemente sintiendo que estás frente al enemigo con los pantalones abajo.
***lo recomendaria si es que los programadores decidieran mejorar la ia de los bots. fueran más amplias las posibilidades del juego. es que dan una idea de que es como jugar 2 juegos a la vez más o menos como de estrategia y otro de fps. el problema con ese comentario es que es más como que mitad de 2 diferentes juegos. porque apenas tienes como 3 o 4 ordenes que poder hacer en el juego y del fps, ni tiene un personaje que sientas que puedes desarrollar de un modo u otro, ya sea con armamento, skins, o habilidades. que arreglen tambien un armamento más amplio, que pueda mostrar un desarrollo...para que el modo offline gane numero de jugadores y talvez así revivir el multiplayer. pero por mientras no arreglen esos problemas no lo puedo recomendar

забрал по скидке,так что-же это за игра. Nuclear Dawn-игра 2011 года, на известном движке:Source. Интересная задумка-в которой смешали элементы классового шутера и Стратегии. графика отличная даже на сегодняшний день(конечно не супер реалистичная как в Battlefield/Call of Duty, но это ненужно)((советую всем кому нравится графика Half-life и Counter-Strike(до CS2)

I remember going home and starting up this game. That was back in 2011-2012. A fun game which had unique FPS/RTS element. Having one player chosen as the commander effecting the battlefield was amazing. Sadly it was fun only for few hours. I will be waiting for Nuclear dawn version 2.

Had such an awesome time with this. Just booted it up after years and it's completely dead - not even one player. Thumbs up because it was awesome & hoping it might contribute to the possibility of a number two. But yeah, currently you can buy it but can't play it. RIP.

Поиграл часок, разбираясь в механиках. Потенциально это была любопытная игра, представляющая смесь шутера и башенной защиты с захватом точек, но которая почему-то не взлетела. Тут хватило бы, наверное, даже десятка людей постоянного онлайна, чтобы она была жива, но даже столько не набирается. А боты просто на удивление глупые, что портит всю атмосферу. Познакомился бы с этой игрой во времена ее жизни - вполне возможно, залип бы. Но сейчас, увы, лучше пойду искать что-нибудь другое на установку.

I am 32 years old.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.

Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.

With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.

After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.

Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.

Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.

Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Что нужно знать для начала - это командная игра. Неважно, какой у тебя счёт или сколько точек ресурсов на карте ты захватил - без командной игры чаще всего ты проиграешь.
Ядерный рассвет (Nuclear Dawn) сочетает элементы стратегии в реальном времени и шутера от первого лица. Каждый класс в рамках игры уникален и незаменим в различных ситуациях возникших в ходе сражения. Всего таких классов четыре: штурмовик, поддержка (медик/инженер), шпион и экзо. У них также имеются подклассы и улучшения оружия, которые выдаются за длительную игру за конкретный класс.
Несмотря на то, что игра уже давно не нова, она и на сегодняшний день хорошо играется и выглядит свежо, особенно в синтезе механик стратегии и шутера. Командиру, как главному стратегу, открывается карта сражения сверху: он планирует все боевые махинации, продвигает линию атаки, укрепляет точки и самое главное - направляет своих бойцов.
Игру рекомендую как прекрасное соединение жанров, хотя очень жаль, что сейчас она не столь популярна. Однако в неё стоит сыграть, особенно с друзьями: собраться и разворотить командный пункт противника!

Play as a soldier in a war-torn, post-apocalyptic world and fight the enemy as an armored, covert or assault unit, using a variety of weapons and equipment to achieve your mission objectives. The FPS action in Nuclear Dawn is difficult, fast and relentless and the weapons have to be used skillfully and a quick finger and good knowledge of the map are not enough here. (Developer)

I'm not a fan of multiplayer online shooting games.
I think you should know that. So I tried out the variety of options that are offered for newbies.
That's why I tried to get some insight.
I watched a few videos that tried offline single versus bot and the open war variant.
Result:
Great graphics with a very good and harmonious environment.
Good team play opportunities.
This is associated with an extensive development tree and the creation of a base that can be expanded and improved.
Research and development is also integrated.
A great automatic server search, and a manual search is also available to find your own or friends' servers.

Conclusion:
Even though I never survived for more than a minute, I still think this game is worth recommending. Especially as a team game.
I'm impressed with what the developers have created.
But since I'm far from knowing myself in this environment, please leave your experiences about this game in the comments.

Spielen Sie als Soldat in einer kriegs-zerrütteten, post-apokalyptischen Welt und bekämpfen Sie den Feind als gepanzerte, verdeckte oder Angriffseinheit und nutzen Sie verschiedenste Waffen und Ausrüstungen, um Ihre Missionsvorgaben zu erreichen. Die FPS-Action in Nuclear Dawn ist schwierig, schnell und unbarmherzig und die Waffen müssen gekonnt genutzt werden und ein schneller Finger und gute Kenntnis der Karte reichen hier nicht aus. Bin kein Fan von Multiplayer- Online- Baller- Games.
Ich denke das solltet ihr Wissen. Also ich hab mich mal durchprobiert durch die Vielzahl der Möglichkeiten die Angeboten werden für Neulinge.
Deswegen hab ich versucht mir ein Einblick zu verschaffen.
Hab mir einige Videos angesehen, die offline Singel gegen Bot und die offene Kriegsvariante probiert.
Ergebnis:
Tolle Grafik mit einer sehr guten und stimmigen Umgebung.
Gute Teamplay Möglichkeiten.
Damit verbunden ein Umfangreicher Entwicklungsbaum und Aufbau einer Basis die erweitert und verbessert werden kann.
Forschung und Entwicklung ist auch integriet.
Eine prima automatische Serversuche, auch eine manuelle Suche steht zur Verfühgung um eigene oder befreundete Server zu finden.

Fazit:
Obwohl ich nie länger als eine Minute überlebt habe erscheint mir dieses Game als Empfehlenswert. Insbesondere als Teamgame.
Bin beeindruckt was die Entwickler da geschaffen haben.
Da ich aber weit weg bin, davon mich in diesem Umfeld aus zu kennen, lasst doch eure Erfahrungen in den Kommentaren da, über dieses Spiel.
Betrachtet diesen Text von mir als Tipp, nicht unbedingt als Wertung.
