Bit mixed on this one! At times it could certainly be rather evocative as well as intriguing, and it's got some nice features like the mind map, but most of the time I just found myself rather bored and wishing it had more depth to its gameplay with more challenging puzzles and exploration. Even putting aside gameplay, I don't feel like the story coalesced into anything satisfying in the end either for me, feeling like it really lost focus and over-complicated things: I tried my best to give it a fair shake but I couldn't help but utter "wait, that's it?" when the credits started rolling.

As mentioned, I typically prefer these games to have lots of puzzles and exploration to them, so you'd think that's what I needed here, but that's not exactly a necessity as I've enjoyed simple linear experiences like Ace Attorney. It's just that somehow this felt even more braindead and scripted than its contemporaries which made me chafe against it, especially when it would have scenarios that showed promise at first glance, such as the City Hall dungeon, only for it to be a disappointment in how short it was. It didn't help either that the minigames it peppers in, such as the combat scenarios, felt so garish, token and pointless. Thinking about it, as much as I wish the game was more complex, I also think I would've liked the game if it did a lot LESS: removing the dumb minigames and removing all the animations which look like bad Mode 7 would've done a lot to preserve the art and atmosphere of the game. To me, the game exists in an awkward middle-of-the-road state where it isn't interactive and explorative enough to feel like an adventure you have a hand in, but it also isn't enough of a straightforward and evocative story to read and get immersed into.

To be fair, this might be one of these games that take a while to grow on me, maybe from reading a few essays or watching some youtubes on it, to learn about some of the messaging that flew over my head or whatever. I could also see this hitting a lot more strongly if you're familiar with the subject material, namely living in places like Norco. Seems like most people like it so hey, maybe give this a shot as long as you don't mind simple gameplay.

比较让人出乎意料的（非褒义非贬义）就是前后叙事风格的变化，冲着某种特定题材来的可能会失望（比如说标签里的反乌托邦，含量感觉为0），往好一点说的话就是作品在混合各种元素后创造出了属于自己的独特风味，往差一点说就是因为体量太小所以除了制作组喜欢的地方其他都没太讲清楚，前面B格十足的大反派突然一笔带过死翘翘了，前面罪恶滔天罄竹难书的大公司突然在剧情里销声匿迹了
直到最后一章最后一节之前我都以为是悬疑侦探类的，结果是[spoiler]外星文明降神[/spoiler]了还行
不过后面意识流部分的描写和氛围渲染确实做得很不错，不像是赶工或者想一出做一出，看得出来制作组可能确实就是比较喜欢这种剧情发展吧
如果喜欢拉美文学可以尝试一下，氛围和基调上感觉比较类似

3年前第一次看到这个游戏被误导以为是赛博朋克，其实全然无关。
它的风味是神秘的，带有文学性的，潮湿而腥气。
玩到后面我甚至认为主角并不是玩家操纵的人，而是这一整片让故事发生的地方。

水下和高塔这两段让文字爱好者全然满足！
它使我脑内的渲染引擎飞速运转，抛弃逻辑，理性，只感受去连接这些文字，这些符号，然后我就能触摸到那些真正想要被表达出来的，来自游戏或者我自身的东西。

精妙的画面对于游戏体验并非必要，诺科也证实了这一点。

向所有爱好叙事游戏的人推荐。

A beautiful story. Ever since playing Disco Elysium, I'd been looking for something to scratch the same itch that it did, and the incredible writing and artwork in this game has come the closest to doing so. It's things like this that remind me how special Louisiana really is, and make me never want to leave.

That said, the gameplay can be a bit lacking at times. The puzzle aspects were good, but the combat system felt underutilized and like filler for what could have been something more interesting. It almost feels wrong to ask for more from what I think already is a genuinely great game, but I think that the few flaws it has in this vein do hold it back.

I am very excited to see more from this developer.

剧情很好，之前是被人当成极乐迪斯科代餐推荐的，但两种游戏不一样的风味，[spoiler]极乐迪斯科好歹还存有一线希望，这个游戏是一点希望都没有，过去已然化为废墟，现在就脚下这块摇摇欲坠的土地，未来是一片虚无。[/spoiler] 断断续续打下来，大部分解谜都很友好，一些小游戏设计得非常有趣，之前没对剧情有很高的期待，结果打完以后觉得还不错，小品级游戏胜在完整。[spoiler]但是打了普通结局后就不想再打幸存结局了，我之前以为会占手机内存所以把录音删了，没想到错失逃生结局，最后看到侦探没死还是很欣慰的，希望那个小蠢蛋也能活下来[/spoiler]

Norco is a game about finding a purpose in life, and cherishing your time with loved ones. Throughout the game you encounter people mourning the time lost with their loved ones, people who spend their dying days leaving something behind for their loved ones. People who find purpose in a new god, and people who gather around that new god finding a community.

The game's aesthetic's got SWAG by the way: The synths and drumtrack of the BGM and the gorgeous pixel art really sells its dystopian New Orleans setting. In particular, the game looks phenomenal with its CRT setting on (please use it), and the character portraits feel grotesque, yet so human.

The writing itself is a thing of beauty. From its poetic descriptions of New Orleans, to the sharp witty dialogue, the writing paints a beautiful picture of the world of Norco and the characters within it. It is impossible to discuss this game's writing without mentioning its commentary on [b]class, religion, technology and environmentalism[/b]. You encounter everybody from CEOs of multibillion dollar industries, to cult leaders, to workers on strike due to the automation of his job, to environmental terrorists. You meet people dismembering their minds for money, and people following commands and finding money mindlessly. And at the core of all those stories is the unstoppable progress of technology: a theme Norco uses to its highest degree.

This game is not without its faults however: the writing can feel prosaic at times, and the mindmap and combat feel underutilised. Travelling around with the minimap AND with on-screen prompts feels clunky at times. Additionally, Kay feels underdeveloped --almost single-minded-- as a character: she seems to be only concerned with [spoiler]finding/reconnecting with her mother and brother[/spoiler] throughout the story.

Overall, Norco is a wonderful cyberpunk dystopian game with a lot of heart, It's clearly made by people who love New Orleans to its very core, and all of its good, bad, and ugly. If you love cyberpunk mystery games, this is the one for you.

es un juego increible, con una historia atrapante, misteriosa, la banda sonora es espectacular, el pixel art y los escenarios son espectaculares, muestran una ambientación de estilo futurista distópica muy bien representada, es perturbador y a la vez muy bello. El unico punto negativo para mi, tal vez porque no soy muy diestro en filosofía y religión, fue el final, me pareció demasiado abstracto, pero buscando en internet, creo que no fui el unico que necesitó de ayuda para entenderlo, pero eso no quita que es un gran juego, recomendado.

NORCO is one of those rare games where everything comes together to create something that feels less like a game and more like a piece of interactive art. The storytelling is excellent, but what truly elevates the experience is the soundtrack and ambiance.

The music is absolutely phenomenal. It’s atmospheric, haunting, and perfectly woven into the world of the game. Every track feels intentional, quietly shaping the mood of each scene. It never feels intrusive, yet it’s always there, adding emotional weight and making the world feel alive.

The ambiance of the game is simply outstanding. The surreal version of Louisiana’s industrial landscape, the quiet towns, the strange characters, the subtle unease in the air… it all blends together into a deeply immersive experience. The pixel art may look simple at first, but paired with the music and writing, it creates an atmosphere that is unforgettable.

The storytelling is thoughtful, strange, and deeply human. It explores themes of loss, technology, memory, and community in a way that feels both grounded and surreal at the same time.

确实有种极乐迪的感觉（河岸边？一群青少年那段），混乱的世界，陨落的希望催生荒诞的信仰。文案已经比较精致了，不过各方面高度和沉浸感还是稍差一些。
疯子是一种隐喻，只能说故事是最坏的时代毁掉了平凡的一家人，不幸活下来的人还要在最坏的时代里谋生。这的确是一首挽歌，献给仅存于虚构记忆里的最好时光，献给失去的、尽管再寻常不过，却也是庸碌之辈仅能珍视的一切。

This game is just profoundly sad. It has haunted me ever since I played it over two years ago. The game is a linesr point-and-click adventure game, so there's not much to spesk of in terms of gameplay, and is understated with its scope. It does not have the flowing prose, the elaborate, imposing worldbuilding, or the piercing philosophy of some of its contemporaries in the CRPG genre, but the image of the world it portrays, with its immersive soundscape and tasteful pixel art work, just sticks with me. I felt a deep sense of emptiness when I finished it, and it retrospect, it has morphed into a kind of longing for a life I never lived. It's a landscape painting of modern tragedy with a dystopian sci-fi spin and a healthy dose of tinfoil laced with LSD. This game also features what is likely my favourite robot in gaming, and that's a big deal for me.

I don't know how I haven't reviewed this game in the past. In my many depressive episodes, this game often pushes itself past other, 'objectively better' memories to reach my cognition and occupy me in my pensiveness.

Also, if you hate cryptocurrency and AI, you should play this game. It's mega-based.

NORCO is one of the most unique narrative games I’ve played. The pixel art is fantastic and really brings the strange world to life, mixing a gritty cyberpunk setting with a kind of Southern gothic atmosphere. The game has a surreal, almost dreamlike tone at times, blending humor, darkness, and weird moments in a way that makes the story feel very distinct.

I finished the game in one long sitting, which made it feel like an intense narrative experience. The story itself is interesting and unusual, and the world-building is one of the strongest parts of the game. Some of the gameplay elements, like the mini-games and combat sections, didn’t always feel necessary and occasionally interrupted the flow of the story. I also had trouble using a controller and ended up switching to keyboard and mouse, which worked much better.

Overall, I really enjoyed NORCO for its atmosphere, writing, and unique setting. I’m not sure there’s a lot of replay value once you’ve finished it, but it’s definitely a memorable experience if you enjoy narrative games with strange, dark, and cyberpunk-inspired worlds.

This is a very special game that I will think about for years to come; I played it all in one go. I feel such fondness and sadness for Norco. I love the art, the characters, and the music. There are so many interesting little pieces of local history and lore, coupled with a bizarre crosscut of Gnosticism and the more philosophical subsects of Christianity which play out so interestingly throughout the game's story. I feel I really visited this place. If you're a fan of point-and-clicks, this is a must-play. I wish more games were set in the American South.

I really enjoyed playing Norco. The graphics are gorgeous, the music is catchy, and the story is compelling and had me wanting to keep playing, to find out what happened next. There is no voice acting, just gutteral sounds similar to Undertale, but this is fine if you like reading. This game is very heavy on reading dialogue and long passages of text. Well done to all involved in the making of this game.

Norco is a low sci-fi point-and-click adventure set in the industrial outskirts of New Orleans. The story is told from multiple perspectives and touches on themes such as the exploitation of the working class, the dangers of AI technology, isolation in one's hometown, and mental illness. As one progresses through the game, the story becomes increasingly surreal.

I don't have much experience with the point and click genre outside the classics of the 90s, but Norco seems to have nailed the fundamentals. There was never any "pixel hunting," where one understands a solution yet has difficulty clicking on objects/environment to execute the appropriate actions. There were also no illogical/nonsensical puzzles where the solution might be combining a battery and a ham sandwich to somehow gain access to a shed (for example).

The pixel art is gorgeous!

The music is excellent and adds an air of mystery.

Overall, Norco is a visually magnetic game that explores mature topics and doesn't overstay its welcome. It is abundantly clear that the developers have a personal connection to the game's setting of the industrial swamplands of Southern Louisiana and this provides a rich backdrop to tell a unique story. Even if you don't typically gravitate to this genre, I recommend giving Norco a try.

诺科是一个氛围＞＞剧情的游戏，而游戏性就几乎没有了（别跟我说那些莫名其妙的战斗小游戏...）剧情比较线性且有不同视角的转换，总体上看很荒谬以至于我不知道说什么好了（）但我依旧喜欢它的表达，游戏叙述上一个很有意思的点是，旁白叙述会通过“询问”玩家来得到主人公的感受[spoiler]（比如最开始会问你在工业噪音中你睡得如何） [/spoiler]这实在是一个让玩家沉浸的高明手段，不仅像是主人公在慢慢去回忆，还能助推玩家自己的代入（这其实让我立刻想到了coc......太有意思了，这种共同构筑氛围的手段
再说到独特且沉浸的氛围，简直是美术和文本的共振...潮湿的沼泽和短吻鳄，轰鸣着吐出废气的工厂，药物，人工智能，一场洪水吞没南方的故乡...你在沼泽中慢慢下沉，腐烂，伤口不断恶化但你不知所措。游戏涉及的药物滥用，宗教，外星人，人工智能给这一切添加了一种荒诞且绝望的底色，必须说我初见时打出了一个可以说是好的结局吧，但我仍旧想着影子戏里的渔夫和被背叛了的短吻鳄，还有那场梦...

Im Neon Southern Gothic Pixel Look in Beinnahe-Perfektion mitsamt Sounduntermalung der Sonderklasse und Dialogen zum Dahinschmelzen nimmt dieses Kunstwerk von Spiel Dich mit auf eine Reise... so eine gabs vielleicht in der Geschichte des Gaming noch nie!

Nicht umsonst wird das Spiel in höchsten Tönen gefeiert, fristet aufgrund der nischigen Ansätze in punkto Setting und Genre leider dennoch ein relatives Schattendasein.

Das hier ist eben nicht SO EIN Adventure.
Stattdessen nimmt das Spiel Dich mit auf einen guten alten Roadtrip.
Einen, durch die industriell total ausgebeuteten Südstaaten einer mittlerweile durch menschliche Gier total zerklüfteten und kaputten USA.
Im Grunde ist hier beinahe ALLES vor die Hunde gegangen, ganze Landstriche wurden quasi aufgegeben und sich selbst überlassen, gigantische Fluten überziehen das Land und wir sind vor einiger Zeit nach einer solchen von zu Hause fortgegangen.
Den tragischen Krebstod der Mutti haben wir verpasst, der kleinkriminelle Bruder ist auf und davon und bei unserer Rückkehr fangen wir an, die Puzzleteilchen einer zersplitterten Familiengeschichte wieder zusammenzusetzen.

Sogar im wahrsten Wortsinn, denn in unserem Charakterköpfchen entspinnen wir nen Bild aller Figuren des Spiel, forschen nach Hinweisen über alles und jeden, setzen Teilchen hier ein und fügen dort ein paar neue Erkenntnisse hinzu...
... bis am Ende ein Bild des großen Ganzen vor unserem geistigen Auge entsteht, das wirklich ALLES in einem komplett neuen Licht erscheinen lässt.

Wir gabeln hilfreiche Gefährten auf, erfahren auch über deren Schicksal eine Menge und genießen zum Teil auch einfach nur die wilde und niemals langweilige Reise.

Denn das hier, und das muss hier einmal mehr als überdeutlich herausgestellt werden, ist eines der Spiele mit dem weitaus BESTEN WRITING aller Zeiten.

Hier stimmt einfach alles.
Die Charakterzeichnung ist genial und treffend zugleich.
Die Story hat ein nahezu perfektes Pacing und die Welt ist so plastisch und haptisch... wenn jemals ein Spiel hätte verfilmt werden sollen, dann bitte dieses hier!

Am Ende bleibt man richtiggehend traurig zurück, dass alles nun vorbei sein soll. Viel zu gern hätte man noch länger in der Welt verweilt, noch mehr erlebt und alles erkundet... oder auch einfach nur in ihr gelebt.

Dieses Spiel erzeugt einen Sog in seine Welt hinein, sowas hab ich zuvor noch nie erlebt.
Mann kann die Umgebung richtiggehend spüren, schmecken und fühlen.

Und das ist große Kunst!
Sollte ein beliebiger Streaming Service, morgen eine Serie in dieser Welt ankündigen, ich hätte übermorgen bereits ein ♥♥♥ abgeschlossen, so begierig bin ich auf mehr Stoff aus einem Universum, das mich felsenfest gefangen nahm.

Das liegt aber nicht nur an der tollen Welt, all ihren genialen Figuren und dem wundervollen Stil des Ganzen. Auch nicht an der brillanten Atmo oder der schicken Pixeloptik, auch nicht am Sound, der einem nicht mehr aus dem Kopfe weichen mag...

... es liegt eben am Writing.
Einfach alles ist on point geschrieben, nah an der Perfektion.

Doch besonders die Dialoge habens mir angetan. Klickt man bei vielen Spielen das Gequassel genervt weg und sehnt sich bei aller Laberei schnell zurück in die Action, könnte man hier Stunden und Stunden nicht anderes tun als lesen, lesen und nochmals lesen.

Und in einer Gaming Szene, in der ich mich so so sooooo oft über eklig Content-gestreckte Spiele beschwere, die und mit beliebigen Krimskrams bei der Stange zu halten versuchen, nur um am Schluss nur noch unsere Nerven zu überspannen und uns zu frustrieren...

Ist dieses Spiel viel zu kurz!

Es weist zwar für ein Adventure eine durchaus beachtliche Länge auf, man kriegt ordentlich was fürs (viel zu wenige) Geld, doch wärs doppelt oder gar dreimal so lang gewesen... ich hätte mich nicht beschwert, sondern jubiliert.

Und damit ist wohl alles gesagt, oder?

Also rein in den Sumpf, lieber Leser und beim nur wenig knobeln, viel mehr quasseln, ordentlich Detektiv spielen, alles erforschen und Dich in einer umwerfend tollen Welt verlieren wünsch ich Dir wie immer...

Had a good time with NORCO, but I suspect that if Geography of Robots makes a second game, I'll like it even more.

I'm not familiar with the South. Not a place I know much about, but I do feel like I know it a bit better after this. NORCO is alien and warm and sad and disjointed and very human.
It's for sure a better visual novel than it is a video game, though: I don't really feel like the combat added anything to the game, and the gameplay mechanics and puzzles largely are very simple or so obvious as to be nonexistent. There's a confusion and a push-pull there: it's a game that's very easy to pick up, and also one that ends up with very little friction or stakes, and I would have liked just a few more surprises and tension here.

In terms of visual art and story, it's beautiful, emotional, at times disjointed, but quite pleasantly so, even for someone with very little knowledge of the culture that goes through the heart here.
That's the highlight by far: if what you want is just a good story and good art, go for NORCO.

An absurd neo-dadaistic impressionist portrait of your father personified: a Southern-Americana mythos laced in neo-theological references, situated knees deep in a godforsaken, swampy, surrealist Louisiana (This game is also technically cyberpunk AND mystical. Talk about genre blending!)

Following the concept of original sin and generational trauma, you're sent into a world where you don't even have a face. Your attachments to your history are almost as superficial as items paraphernalia and grocery lists. Industrialism binds to the roots of the land as materialism desperately clings onto every hope of rebirthing its former glories that never were. The economy is basically terminal cancer and a schizophrenic's worst nightmare coming true. A mythos of paranoiac knowledge, an apotheosis of a nebulous collective consciousness that could never become a reliable narrator, shoveling coal into an eternally hungry flame that drowns everyone in smog. The land is breathing through iron lungs, and its life's blood is oil. there is yet a weird eerie calm that almost feels like hope in a place where people who think they're seeing things clearly are just lying to themselves. the place is tired of you, and there's calm in that.

You're dissociated, detached, and you think your brother is too much. You also never visited your mom before she died. The tales of the land is haunting amidst the fog. The hunter and the prey are but one in this twist of fate in a discombobulated masquerade or the pretense that it all makes sense. Cults form to salvage what's left of humanity's last hope for the salvation of the American dream; it's a crusade no one believes in anymore. it's just a distraction from the desolation stemming from the banality of feeling terminally detached from your collective identity because at least there's something on TV. the people drank lies from an angel's mouth at St. Somewhere and Floodgate Tavern. A land without identity is subdued in helpless violent self-destructing fatalism.

A land, a father, your father, an oil rig personified. he is nothing but the color of Norco. everything bleeds into everything and no one is anyone. It harbours themes of dissociation, dissolution, decrepit ghosts of old dreams on a land that has been taken and taken from, and now the people there are actors from the play to serve that one karmic role: to be taken from all the same. The people have forgotten in a series of floods, yet the land never will. An eye for an eye makes the land blind...or blinding, in an almost Lynchian manner.

You can play until the very end and still not know what the f*ck (or what the Duck) happened but you'll likely be charmed, mystified by it all. Also, you can turn a cat into [spoiler] a phone case [/spoiler] as well as make a man [spoiler] sh*t in a limo. [/spoiler]

I'll say that I could never do this game justice and I think that no one ever did (dug for video essays on it and each version will never be complete). what I'm doing is offering my take, albeit I am sounding spammy. If you think this spoils the game for you, then you have no idea what's in store at all.

beautiful game that's woven together by dread and hope. i love the time period ambiguity. it's vaguely early to mid 21st century; close enough to our time to be relatable while also being futuristic. i love that it was set in the outskirts of new orleans. the developer/writer obviously has a lot to say about the oil companies that have taken root there. their passion and anger is definitely felt throughout the game. norco is a city with a troubling history (like most southern american towns), and i appreciate this game bringing attention to it

I enjoyed this game and would recommend it. The story is strange and complicated, but I was able to follow along and there were some fun twists. This game has some funny moments that were a nice surprise, too.

The main appeal of the game to me is the art and the setting. The pixel-y backgrounds and characters are beautifully done, and you can really tell the artists behind them loved making the art. The setting is also really fascinating, it's like a futuristic, apocalyptic south Louisiana. It's honestly up there with some of the most interesting sci-fi settings I've seen in a game, movie, or book. It reminds me of the setting of the Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler.

It took me about 5 hours to complete the story, but I also am one who gets distracted by all the side stuff, so it definitely could be finished faster if you were more direct. I found it to be a satisfying length and it had good pacing, so I rarely got bored or felt like I was being rushed. At the end, I wanted more, but was also satisfied, just like a great game should leave you.

Overall a beautiful game with an interesting story, great setting, and easy gameplay. 8.5/10 would recommend.

多么摄人心魄的一款游戏，患有homesickness的人都会为之动情，因为无论你走到哪，故乡永远都会萦绕在你身边，你也会把它带进坟墓。

I really enjoyed my time with Norco.

I think you could technically call this science fiction, but it is also mystical as well.

Norco really gets the symbolism stuff right. It is both real and exaggerated. But it can be exaggerated because it connects to the core of what it is making extreme. The mystical aspect works because it touches the archetypes we all understand on some level. It always feels grounded even when it is at its most exaggerated.

Norco also gives small gameplay changes that suit the narrative, so for people that are on the fence about a straightforward point and click adventure game know that it does try to mix things up as it goes.

The puzzle difficulty isn't high, but still feels worth the effort. There is basically always somebody that tells you what your overall task is. The game also gives you an interesting memory system, where you can be quickly reminded of important information about every character in the game.

I highly recommend Norco.

This is a very unique kind of game. I recommend using a guide because some puzzles are not easy or obvious. Also a good point to have a "autofight mode" to skip the battle scenes.

A pretty good point and click adventure with a lot of magical realism in it. Imperfect, but bittersweet and full of character. Just don't expect to make lots of big choices or rich animations, devs clearly worked within some budget constraints.

我很喜欢这个游戏。
人物和情节都很有趣，翻译非常好（无论是自然的对白还是保持押韵的谜题），热狗肠很好吃，很多议题我也能感同身受，两条时间线的设定宛如《漫长的季节》。

但小遗憾也很多，两条时间线的作用主要是推动情节，没能更多展现更有趣的跨时空交互（[spoiler]比如凯没能重访问凯瑟琳去过的一些地方、多利用母亲的遗物做一些事等，手机能传承的内容也很贫瘠[/spoiler]）。
契诃夫挂在墙上的枪也有不少没开，卡弹率比肩桂林仔。
不过这都是小问题，如果只是以上这样，绝对是非常推荐的。

这游戏最大的问题是它作为一个软件是不及格的。
作为一个成就一旦错过就只能读档的游戏，一共只有3个存档。
bug情况非常严重，有些时候交互显示完全是乱的，贯穿游戏的脑图系统，从解锁没多久就存在永久的显示问题，还有不少不枚举了，可以点击指南中的唯一一篇中文文章搜索bug来尽量避免会导致卡死或坏档的问题。
据我所知开发组并没有解散，只是选择把这些问题就这样放着，工作态度并不比我强多少。

优秀的叙事游戏，并带有优秀的中文本地化。游戏在现实中有实际原型，不了解这段历史也能比较好地体验游戏，但有历史文化的加持会让你在看到游戏内一些隐喻的时候心头一震。游戏内对“家乡”这一意象带有着复杂的情绪与描述，且剧情富含大量宗教元素，对不长期生活在西方的人来说有些地方不能很好共鸣，可能这就是文化差异吧......但整体而言游戏质量很不错！

An immersive and unique story with minimalistic point-and-click mechanics, combines a lot of different inspirations and narrowly builds its own thing. Gorgeous pixel art and music combine to make for a special experience. So, Norco.
It's a weird game, and most importantly a weird experience.
The artstyle is so good, and the atmosphere that it creates is really one of the best selling points of this title, alongside with its story... At least, at first.
Yes, because the plot is intriguing, the characters are well designed and curated, and if you are a sucker for religious references in stories like I am then you will find plenty of what you want in Norco. But then... At the end the plot does not hold up, and I feel like the ending was not so good, also because the ways in which you can influence it are not really clear and don't seem to reward you; overall, it does not feel so satisfying to finish this game, which is a shame because of the expectations this game creates in you.
That said, I would recommend you to buy this game, because out of all of it it's undeniable that a lot of love was put into the artstyle, the atmosphere and the dialogues, which despite being kinda difficult in some points for a non-english speaker, they are well written, and manage also to convey often enough a dark kind of irony that goes well with the overall setting.

有点像游戏《肯塔基 0 号公路》《极乐迪斯科》，或者是在美国中西南部穿行的公路小说《在路上》，抑或是结局发癫急转直下的宗教恐怖片《遗传厄运》。可以说是多部作品灵感的集合，也可以说这就是独特的《诺科》自身的美学。

《肯塔基 0 号公路》没怎么合我的口味（也许是太晦涩难以理解了），而《诺科》的美学与故事却完全对上了我的电波。于我而言，《诺科》披着科幻题材的外衣，讲述的是一个关于时代环境与个人经历两种尺度下的生活的飘忽不定，以及两代人的不理解的故事。我喜欢《诺科》营造的世界观，描绘周遭事物的文字，[spoiler]以及结尾处四人小舟不知漂向何处的迷茫。

在走进右侧的门时，洪水来临，凯伊预知了小镇的未来，自己的未来，定时炸弹般的未来。无从得知更多，但我希望她消除了自己与弟弟布莱克多年的隔阂。[/spoiler]

前期非常吸引人，世界栩栩如生，人物性格饱满且富有魅力。但是，从中期开始，故事开始变得混乱，到了结局直接开始搞抽象，玩意识流，而旅途中的谜题几乎全部悬而未决。
比如：为什么鸭子如此特殊，以至于能够诞生超鸭，而其他人则不行？超鸭为什么能够长出肉身，甚至还能发行App？光球到底是什么，约翰的眼球和白头海雕为什么会诞生光球？凯瑟琳生前的研究到底是什么？为什么光球会亲近主角母女？大叔为什么突然从反对派变成了邪教头目？主角姐弟俩为什么没有脸？盾牌公司父女、布路的死亡与这个故事到底有什么联系？
我以为是我没看懂，就去看了其他人的解析，了解到新奥尔良和壳牌公司的种种历史，确实能跟现实对得上，但故事如此零碎，最后意识流结尾，实在是无法认同。
