Peak storytelling, peak lore, peak characters.
Combat is repetitive and isnt that deep, so if you cant handle that for multiple playthroughs, then dont.
play all endings or dont play at all.
some of the story source material isnt in the game, you need to search for it online, either in books or concerts or whatever.. yoko taro is a bit autistic.

Yoko Taro is a god. I don't understand how he was able to make such great games in the Nier series. Definitely one of the greatest games I've ever played. Graphics are a bit dated but still hold up enough. This is a remaster of Nier with all new assets and textures. Gameplay has been updated from its original 360/PS3 release. The protagonist has changed from that version as well. Now it's the brother instead of the father, but really doesn't make much difference. I like that we get to see him grow throughout the game, physically and as a guardian and protector. Kaine is an amazing character. The background they give on her really gets you invested, especially for the later playthroughs. Taro's gimmick of multiple playthroughs to get the complete story is present, but it's done very well. Maybe better done than Automata. But that is really subjective because Automata was PEAK as well. The character design is also top tier. The NPCs are fantastic, especially the little king guy. You'll know when you get to it. The boss designs are excellent and unique. Every character at your side is so valuable by the end. Everyone is willing to sacrifice for each other. Some people have complained about the graphical/artistic redesigns or choices made for the remaster. It's a mixed bag but overall nothing is worse, just different. Everything is intact and nothing is censored or drastically changed. And if you're new, there's nothing to complain about. This game is every bit wlrth the investment and after COMPLETELY completing the story, I'd be shocked to hear this isn't one of your favorites, unless you're some weirdo that only plays PvP shooters, sports, or some other lame crap. Also play Automata. And Prey, Red Dead 1+2, Yakuza 0, 1, 2, Titanfall 2, Persona 5 Royal, Expedition 33, Doom + Eternal, Spiderman 1, Mass Effect 1,2,3, and Spec Ops: The Line.

After finishing Automata, I was so excited to play Replicant as I love the world Yoko Taro was able to capture, and I wanted to relive that experience again. Safe to say, I cried as much, if not more, in this game. This game exceeded all expectations, from the story, characters, and soundtrack; everything was neatly woven and rewoven again. My only complaint is the missions and weapon options. The missions are mostly fetch quests, which can be annoying (even the characters complained about it, which I thought was funny). However, it was the characters' dialogue and my love for them that made me care for the quests at all. The weapon has great designs, but once you get a certain type of weapon, you don't use any of the rest. I understand why people complain that the game is repetitive, but I give that a pass, as I really love the characters (though I do wish some things were done differently to reduce the repetitive feeling). All in all, this is special, and you will be surprised, you will cry, and you will care for the characters. It's different and weird, but that's a Yoko Taro game for you. This is easily one of my favorite games of all time, and I highly recommend anyone to play this work of art.

One of my favorite stories in gaming paired alongside one of my favorite soundtracks but with the downside of excess repetition and clunkiness. Despite its flaws, it all paid off, I was extremely emotionally invested even through any slog that I had to endure. There is certainly a lot to criticize, but to me there's much more to love, and I had a fantastic experience with the game and its (sometimes flawed) narrative.

After finishing Automata on 100%, I knew what I had to do next. Both games on 100% was a must. Playing Replicant made me really realise just the sheer scale of the NieR universe. Apart from Automata, Replicant was really special completely on its own. The combat was yet again surprisingly satisfying after getting used to it. The story was so damn good and it was a joy to find out about the origins of what exactly happened leading up to the Automata timeline. It also got me invested deep into the NieR universe outside of the 2 games, its actually quite fascinating! The stories of Automata and Replicant will stick with me for decades to come, they have a very special place in my heart.

as far as I know its a remake or remaster from Nier 2010. The Story so far is quite cool. The music is like you always hear people talking about it very very good! I don't like some things about the gameplay controls but nothing too bad, its still fun to play. Tho I would say the game is more focused on Story and ambience which is great for me I love Story games with great music. Can't wait to finish it and play Nier Automata, and hopefully a completely new Nier game in the future!!!

This game was recommended to me because it was supposed to subvert tropes and to have a really captivating plot, so I hoped that it would be interesting. 7+ hours in and it still isn't.
I feel literally zero connection to characters and "friendship is magic" cutscenes just [i]petrified[/i] my decision to stop playing this game. Not worth the money, not worth the time.

I really just started, I don't even have 2 hours in it but I can already tell, it's a walking sim with the simpliest and clunkiest combat ever that I'm gonna get bored of after a sec just like I did with Automata. I also don't like how the game looks, it's very grey, ugly and just looks like Final Fantasy if the saturation was put in the negatives, it also seems so overpriced for no reason

At the time I beat it, I was juggling two conflicting feelings: “what a moving and daring ending that pushed the medium forward” vs pure frustration at playing through the B and D routes.

考虑到这部作品是2017年《尼尔机械纪元》大火后对前作的重制版，在2021年以这样的质量端上来，完全对不起重制的分量和机械纪元的名声。诚然，本作最大的优点就是剧情，且世界观和角色与机械纪元息息相关，许多玩家也是冲着补全剧情入的坑，但其游戏性实在是毁灭性的糟糕，糟糕到最能打的剧情和音乐都难以弥补，各处都充满了制作人毫无意义的傲慢和恶趣味，好像觉得折磨玩家是件很理所应当甚至感到愉快的事。

首先，一周目的剧情不完整，需要重复打多周目才能观看完整剧情的设计本就不合理，而多周目又没有给玩家提供新的关卡或玩法，仅仅有一点藏在大量重复剧情之间的差分，大量无意义的反复跑图、僵化的任务设计更是让后期体验变得煎熬，哪怕是开倍速开无敌速通，也会想着一直跳过，把一周目结束想迫切知道故事走向的期待感消磨得一干二净。如果想要正常打到完整结局，游玩时间里有20小时都是纯粹的浪费。而支线任务更是把敷衍和无聊写在了脸上，任务名能从“钓鱼的人”一直接到“续·续·续·续·钓鱼的人”，有的流程需要在不同地点来回跑腿至少10次。

我认可该作的剧情和音乐，以及部分关卡设计，但不推荐任何人游玩，直接看流程录制体验会好得多，毕竟这是一款游戏，而它少了游戏最该有的东西。

Inferior to Gestalt in many ways.
1. The graphics -
Replicant's graphics are really blunt when compared to Gestalt's.
Original NIER had really eerie, dreamlike graphical look with its agressive bloom and color palette made this experience very alien / dreamlike. It fit the story well.

2. The story wise Gestlalt's way better -
Orgiinal's NIER story - with Father NieR instead of an Brother NieR was much more mature, toned and simply better in many ways. The Father really felt like a character - he had a certain personality and tone, and the dialogues with him were so much better than Brothers - who's just clueless / behaves like clueless someone who just gets lucky all the time.
I know that the original idea was always for the Brother to be the main lead - bo honestly the version of NIER with Brother as protagonist was released only in Japan - so who the heck even played that one? While world-wide original NIER is much more knew for Father NieR version - even if you type in NIER 2009 in Google you'll always get the Gestalt version of it with Father as protag.

3. Gameplay sucks -
To put it simply Gestalt had so much better gameplay. You attacks dealt more damage, magic was very grounded and you had to either fight with melee or cast spell - so that gave you some of a tactical decision.
If we add to it heaviness of NIER's combat - you'll get a pretty good and balanced experience with somewhat tactical choices - of where to position yourself to cast a spell, when to start attacking etc.
And here -> in Remake you need to smash those buttons like crazy which is not fun.
Not to say that enemies are litterall bullet sponges which makes the experience feel like a Slop.
Every single bossfight is reduced to slop-fight that takes 15-20 minutes of doing the same thing over and over.
Whilst original NIER had litterally the same movesets for bosses - that FIT with that game's combat system.
They literrally copy-pasted original's bosses and slapped these modern-ADH-like movement on main hero -
it simply doesn't work

4. Music is inferior -
Why make a new soundtrack after all? Whilst original was one of a kind?
Replicant's music just feels like some sort of EPIC MUSIC REMIX - of something that you can see on Youtube.
We lost eerie and alien-like music of NIER to generic orchestal slop.
Even that! The gameplay of original NIER had very rythmic fell - which fit well with OG soundtrack.

5. It was not made for NIER fans -
Honestly this game feels like it was not made for fans of original NIER
- rather than that it feels like simple cash grab for all Automata's fans to squeeze cash out of them
Hey! You remember this NIER game? Why not to take it and slap Automata's gameplay on it, add some shiny modern graphics and make soundtrack EPIC ORCHESTAL - that would make us ton of money!

Overall its quite sad to see one of the most original games ever made:
NIER - get its Remaster done so poorly.
I really feel like there was only one game like NIER and will be just one - probably forever.

Every time I turn this game on, I am filled with a sense of melancholy and dread. Because the world of Nier, and by extension, Drakengard, is not exactly a world you want to exist in. It is dreadful, cold and devoid of any colour or happiness.

My journey of finishing Nier Replicant was kinda rough. Even tho the remake is great, I think the devs could have tried to remove some of those old and annoying gameplay mechanics like the constant back and forth side quests and the requirements for the endings.

I highly recommend this game for its lore and story. A smol suggestion for anyone who wants to delve into lore- to watch 7 hour lore videos about the world of Drakengard before delving into the Nier series. Believe me, its worth it since no one is gonna bother playing Drakengard 1 and 3.

I would also recommend anyone who wants to experience the FULL GAME i.e Ending E, to just finish endings A and B normally, and then use someone's save file for C/D. If you are feeling too lazy, you can even get a ending E save file after you watch D.

Overall a very 7.5/10 game.

The story is the only redeeming quality of this “game”… and the price is galling for the quality of the content. I can only assume the price is justified by association with Nier: Automata alone, as this prequel is terribly designed in almost every aspect.

Every single moment of the game is designed to waste your time…

Endless fetch quests for dozens of items with extremely low drop rates.
Constant back-tracking through dull enviroments.
Bullet sponge enemies and incredibly bland combat.
Escort quests that move at a snails pace and literally take you around in circles.

I want to finish it for the story, but this is some of the worst gameplay I’ve ever experienced.

I originally played it without realising that It was actually connected to the entire NIER lore. I only played it because it was a nier title but thought the story and the timeline wasn't related to automata at all, little did I know..

The game does hit you in the feels, as any NIER game would. Once again, story written beautifully and hits you in the feels as the previous titles. I only wish I could play the other titles but don't have access to them. Again this is an awesome game to actually first start before NIER Automata.

Quero começar dizendo que NieR Replicant tem uma história incrível, uma trilha sonora maravilhosa, gráficos bem legais e estilizados e personagens diversos e carismáticos. Esses aspectos do jogo não deixam nada a desejar e, pra ser sincero, são o maior motivo para querer jogá-lo.

Porém, a gameplay não chega nem perto da qualidade do resto. Ela acaba sendo bem repetitiva e rasa, sem muitas coisas realmente boas para destacar. Muitas das side quests acabam sendo missões simples de buscar itens ou voltar várias vezes para os mesmos lugares, o que faz a estrutura do jogo parecer bastante repetitiva.

NieR Replicant também conta com um sistema de vários finais, mas infelizmente, para conseguir esses finais, você precisa rejogar a mesma parte do jogo várias vezes sem mudanças significativas na gameplay, o que acaba ficando cansativo. Apesar disso, as novas falas e cenas adicionadas entre as rotas são bem interessantes e ajudam a expandir a história, mas ainda assim a repetição acaba pesando um pouco.

Consigo até dar um desconto pelo fato de o jogo ser apenas um remaster de um título mais antigo, mas ainda assim fiquei com a sensação de que tentaram aplicar a mesma fórmula de NieR: Automata, só que sem o mesmo nível de polimento e qualidade que a PlatinumGames trouxe naquele jogo.

Pelo preço que é cobrado, com certeza não vale o valor cheio. Talvez seja um pouco desonesto comparar com NieR: Automata, mas acredito que a maioria das pessoas que chegam em NieR Replicant vieram justamente por causa dele. Sendo praticamente o dobro do preço, fica difícil dizer que realmente vale a pena.

Mas reforçando: a história é maravilhosa e emocionante, as músicas são excelentes e os personagens são muito bons. Infelizmente, a gameplay simplesmente não consegue acompanhar o nível do resto do jogo. No final das contas, é um jogo que vale muito a pena pela narrativa e pelo mundo que constrói, mas que pode decepcionar quem espera que a gameplay acompanhe o mesmo nível de qualidade da história, da trilha sonora e dos personagens.

Хочется начать с того, что я думаю, что данная игра нуждается прежде всего в полноценном ремейке, нежели в ремастере. Достаточно посмотреть на продажи и обзоры тех времён от западных изданий, чтобы понять, что игра является Б тира продуктом который, как обычно, если и придётся по вкусу, то разве что у себя на родине.
К слову, смешно видеть, как западные критики ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ оригиналу 5-6/10, а ремастеру повально 8, хотя концептуально в игре поменялась только боёвка.

А как нам известно, японские рпг Б тира - это всегда смесь какой-то нереальной ♥♥♥♥♥ с какой-то нереальной годнотой. Собственно, репликант не является исключением.

И естественно этот обзор будет посвящён прежде всего тому, что с этой игрой не так, но перед этим быстро по пунктам, за что эту игру стоит купить и почему у неё положительный обзор.
Сюжет и музыка. Господи, только из-за одного OST я готов отдать фулл прайс 60 USD. Как кто-то шутил под трейлером репликанта - "$60 за саундтрек и ещё бесплатная игра вдобавок!" Музыка, как и автомате, и, наверное непопулярное мнение, в первом дракенгарде - просто бомба. Это невозможно описать словами, как эти прекрасные уху мелодии настраивают на атмосферу погибающего мира игры.

Про сюжет я не буду долго распинаться (точнее буду, но ниже), вы и так уже скорее всего наслышаны про сюжеты Ёко Таро.

Основая часть этого обзора начинается с самого скучного в этой игре - геймплей луп, хотя вернее будет скорее геймплей залуп, по другому назвать это тяжело.
Эти доп.квесты... эта механика гардеринга... мдаааа ♥♥♥♥♥ ваш рот господа разработчики
Это же надо додуматься до идеи заполнить время на сайд квесты между мейн сюжетом квестами из мморпг...
Я в какой-то момент начал думать, что я играю в 14 финалку, потому что смысловая нагрузка квестов + внешний вид города Seafront очень напоминают локу из этой игры.
Сходи убей борова, сходи принеси 10 овечьих шур, сходи вылови 10 рыбов, сходи сначала сюда, потом туда, потом обратно и так повтори 3 раза.
Представьте моё ёбло, когда я усадил всю грядку цветами, а потом узнал что

Помимо этого игра просто неадектво репетитативна. Разрабы видимо застряли во временах, когда можно было выпустить первый дракенгард, и расчитывать на то, что игроки реально пойдут выбивать все 64 пушки для открытия последней концовки. К слову, я как только узнал как работают эндинги в дракенгарде, просто дропнул после route A, остальное посмотрел на ютубе.

[spoiler]Я не имею ничего против идеи того, что игру или какую-то её часть нужно перепройти для того, чтобы открыть новую концовку, но только если:
1. Каждое перепрохождение будет концептуально отличаться
2. Мы получим какую-то реально стоющую долю информации за это.

Оба эти концепта нарушаются в этой игре.
Перепрохождения ничем не отличаются друг друга (только маленькими дополнениями по истории и всё).
Ладно ещё хотя бы концовка "С" привносит в сюжет что-то новое, но для этого мало того, что игру НАДО ♥♥♥♥♥ ОПЯТЬ ПЕРЕПРОХОДИТЬ, так и ещё и залутать все пушки (благо хотя бы этот процесс сделали очень простым, в связи с чем я вообще не понимаю ♥♥♥♥♥ он нужен, просто убрали бы и всё).

Но и это ещё не всё, потому что геймплей это только половина проблемы.

Вторая же - это сюжет, а точнее его подача.
У игры нереально крутой лор. Когда я прошёл автомату, я и близко не предполагал какая там на самом деле кроличья яма. По факту у нир выстроена целая вселенная, в которой описан очень долгий и сложный таймлайн с кучей веток развития на каждом мажорном событии.
Проблема состоит в том, что при присутствии такого количества сюжета, эта игра на деле ♥♥♥♥♥ не поясняет о происходящем так ещё и гейткипит от развязки практически что до самого конца.
Т.е. сюжет игры как бы такой -

[spoiler] ты на протяжении 40 часов ебашишь кабанчиков с время от времени переключениями на какие-то доп ветки по типу Junk Heap, которые хоть и интересны, но по своей сути не раскрывают в чём состоит лор игры, а потом хуяк и на тебя дропают truth nuke, рассказывая кто ты на самом деле, чё за чубрики вокруг тебя и т.д... просто в один момент и всё.

Ещё на первом прохождении, когда я конце пришёл в замок Shadowlord'a, и тебе нужно открыть ворота ответив на загадки от голубей - я осознал, что я знаю ответ, потому что уже играл в автомату, но я вообще не помню ни малейшего упоминания об этом в этой игре... я искренне впал в ступор, попытавшись вспомнить, а мне что, уже об этом рассказывали? Игра уже предполагает, что я знаю project gestalt?

То есть ещё раз: [spoiler]у тебя практически вся игра - это деревенская рутина, а потом в конце тебе говорят, что на самом деле люди это гештальты, а ты всего лишь репликант... ♥♥♥ это как если бы я играл в stardew valley 200 часов, а потом в конце оказалось, что я в шоу трумэна, а все жители деревни на самом деле роботы-долбоёбы.[/spoiler]

Так при этом игра даже не даёт нормальных ответов на топики, которые она сама же задаёт...

[spoiler] Игра не даёт ответа зачем вообще был создан Эмиль, если они боролись с болезнью. Кто в сущности такие репликанты, как вообще Shadowlord связанан с остальными гештальтами, с хуёв вдруг у Ёны начался black scrawl с нулевой секунды, как только она дотронулась книги... она что, репликантом была с самого начала?
Процесс гештальтизирования вообще описан очень непонятно.
Как и непонятно почему Weiss вообще помогает репликанту, если его цель раскодировать Noir...

Как игра связана с drakengard 1, кто такие девола и попола (я имею ввиду, что в игре нормально не поясняется, что они андроиды, мы об этом узнаём уже только в автомате).

и самое главное - на все эти вопросы есть ответы, но они находятся не в игре, а в вики. Почему? Почему так?
Почему вся инфа о лоре мира в самой игре - это 5 документов? Непонятно.
Я чувствовал довольно нехилую интригу перед игрой в этот ремастер, т.к. мне было очень интерны события, давшие лорное начало автомате, и в то же время каким-то происходящие из игры десятилетней давности с альтернативным сеттингом. Чистое любопытство как это всё можно было связать между собой.
Результат немного разочаровал. Свелось всё к тому, что мне пришлось вычитывать вики, чтобы понять все интерисующие меня моменты.

Что ещё забавнее, у игры есть DLC, которое делает ещё хуже, оно даёт очень слабые отсылки на лор, которые не пояснены вообще ни в одной игре, и как я понимаю, есть только в каких-то отдельных новеллах...

Я наиграл 50 часов, из них часов 30 в целом я кайфанул. Всё таки у игры есть очень сильный вайбик создающийся при помощи музыки, нарратива, диалогов, я не говорю, что от неё нельзя получить удовольствие.
Но у неё есть очень серъёзные проблемы, за которые разрабы к сожалению не решились браться, а оставить игру в таком же состоянии, в котором она вышла на рубеже десятилетия.
Я прекресно понимаю, почему оригинал в своё время получил средние оценки и продался за 9 лет в 500к копий world wide. Очень печально.

Прошёл я этот шедевр от шизогения Ёко Таро и вот что скажу.

Сюжет - белая горячка Ёко Таро после 10 бутылки самогона, который пьёт Попола.
Мир - это какой-то сон при температуре 37.1.
Квесты - какой-то депрессивный мрачняк, где кто-то умирает, убивают, сходят с ума, обманывают и предают. Образцовое человеческое поведение репликантов.
Геймплей - тотальная аннигиляция теней и барашков.
Персонажи - Эмиль хороший мальчик, Кайне лучшая женщина с членом, ГГ просто заглушка, Йона двигатель заглушки, Девола и Попола лучшие собутыльницы
История персонажей - готовьте носовые платки.
Музыка - целиком и полностью ушла в мой плейлист.

Окончательный вердикт: вышел на крыльцо, закурил, много думал и заплакал.

Currently, Nier Automata is my 3rd favorite game of all time purely for how it tells its story. I played it before Replicant and while Replicant comes nowhere close to my top 10, it more than lived up to my expectations.

Nier Replicant follows the story of a young boy who wishes to protect his younger sister. This is the perspective we start with and is the one we have throughout the entire game. This is the core of Replicant and is what you should always keep in mind whenever you think about the game's story. This is a tale of people, who's small actions result in much larger events. It's like the butterfly effect but more mysterious and cool.

Nier has never been a series based around its gameplay. While Replicant's is better than Automata's by a pretty wide margin, I wouldn't call it stellar. It's serviceable so if you care more about gameplay than story this one may be a bit of a slog. Replicant isn't a long game, but does take a fair amount of time to complete. My playtime involves 100% of game quests, endings, and some minor achievement hunting. A single ending may take you 15 hours or it could take you like 35. That really depends on how you tackle it.

Even if the gameplay isn't outstanding, the story is absolutely so. Yoko Taro and the teams he works with have produced some truly beautiful works of art. This is no exception. I strongly encourage players to do as many side quests as they wish. I also encourage players to seek out all the game's endings. This isn't like Automata where the endings are all essential, but they aren't obsolete either. What makes them truly special is how they tie into the wider Nier story and the characters from Replicant.

As I've come to expect from these works, the soundtrack and audio design is phenomenal. The songs that accompany you throughout your journey are impactful and memorable. They each support the conveyance of emotions the game wishes to impart upon you. it's truly wonderful work and I cannot appreciate the composition enough.

I do have one gripe about my experience, but it borders in the spoiler realm so I'll have it marked. For anyone interested the TL:DR with minimal details is this: My issues stem from gameplay related to the unlocking of the additional endings. That's it. It's a tad annoying is all. Anyways here's the rant for those interested.

[spoiler]The additional endings are all great. I love each of them truly. But many of them ask that you replay the 2nd half of the game over again with very minimal differences. These differences are special and do tons for the characters, but replaying that part several times quickly became dull. So much so that I took a month and a half break away from the game. I'd say if you do get to that point and get so sick of it that you don't want to continue, look up the endings on youtube or something. Don't deprive yourself of the story, but I understand if you want to deprive yourself of the backtracking.[/spoiler]

Anyways, I absolutely recommend this game. It is a beautiful work of art and I'm happy to have experienced it. I bought a series artbook after beating Automata a year ago and I can finally open it now. Like many, Replicant wasn't a favorite game of mine, but it has allowed me to appreciate Automata even more.

The only reason why im giving this game a thumbs up is for the story and combat. Unpopular opinion but this game following Nier automata was very disappointing for me and its all because of the dumb side quests in the game, they have no direction for any of the side quests and yes while the quest givers can give you hints the devs what feels like purposefully dont give you quest markers so you take longer to do the quests not to mention half of them require you to run halfway across the map or "figure it out" without even giving you and objective at all and thats just filler content that i cant get behind. This game had me on the edge of my seat for the story and the pacing got literally obliterated with the side quests as well as invisible walls to make you do things the long way

Tenía muchas ganas de jugar a este juego desde hace mucho tiempo, me pasé anteriormente [b]Nier Autómata[/b] en mi [b]PS4 Slim®[/b], un juego que en su día me flipó mucho y está entre mis favoritos. Sea por el [b]gameplay hack&slash[/b] muy bien elaborado con mecánicas muy adictivas, mientras tiene un apartado audiovisual que ha hecho inconfundible y digno de admirar hecho por [b]Yoko Taro[/b]. No sólo eso, sino que tiene una historia filosófica muy profunda.

Hablando sobre el juego, es uno que ha sufrido cambios alrededor del tiempo desde que sacaron el producto al a venta. Las dos mayores [b]diferencias[/b] son que en la versión de EE. UU. el protagonista es el padre de Yonah que quiere curarla de una enfermedad y que hay un[b] “filtro de pis”[/b] haciendo que todo se vea más oscuro y amarillento. Pero su contraparte japonesa tiene una tonalidad del mundo más clara y el protagonista es el hermano mayor de Yonah. A todo esto, le añadimos que esto es una especie [b]de “remasterización Deluxe”[/b], porque añaden todos los DLC’s, un final y mezclan un poco el combate original (sintiéndose pesado y tosco) con el de Nier Autómata.

[h2]🎮Gameplay[/h2]

Hay que tener en cuenta que este es un juego de [b]PlayStation 3®[/b] al que le han dado unos toques para que sea [b]más gustoso en el tema del combate[/b] y poco más. Por lo que, hablando sobre las misiones, cómo son y su variedad en cuanto al gameplay, no van a ser lo más divertido del mundo ni van a tener las mejores recompensas (como mucho en términos de diálogos secundarios sin tanta importancia), porque el matar a 10/20 animalejos o recolectar 10 plantas, 5 metales, etc... Se hacen muy [b]arcaicas estas misiones[/b]. Hay solo dos formas de transporte rápido, o en un gran chancho salvaje o usando el bote, hay veces que ninguno de los dos métodos llega a ser muy útil.

En cuanto al combate, se nota que han cambiado esa tosquedad del juego original [b]siendo bastante más rápido y pudiendo cambiar de armas en medio del combate de forma rápida[/b]. Hay muchas variedades de armas y muchas formas de cómo luchar al que incluimos [b]8 tipos de magia[/b] que usaremos con nuestro compañero, Grimoire Weiss (el libro este que habla). En algunas ocasiones tendremos que bajar la guardia al enemigo o hacer combos para impedir que se proteja, hacer daño en área o concentrarse en el jefe de turno que toque. Se nota que el equipo que trabajó en este remaster, cogió la esencia de Nier Autómata y la plasmó sin casi alterar este juego.

Finalmente tenemos un sistema de inventario donde podremos desde curarnos, ver las misiones, el mapa, etc.… hasta mejorar el efecto de nuestras armas y magias con el sistema de palabras, [b]añadiendo ciertos buffos[/b] que nos pueden servir más o menos útiles dependiendo lo que queremos conseguir.

[h2]📕Historia[/h2]

Hablar sobre la historia del juego es complicado, por alguna razón [b]Yoko Taro[/b], tenía manías raras con la lore de sus videojuegos de la saga [b]Drakengard [/b]hasta que se calmó con Nier Automata. Por lo que podemos perder un poco de contexto si no jugaste al primer puto juego de la saga en [b]PlayStation 2®,[/b] te vas a perder un poco con lo que está pasando, mientras que el juego no se explica muy bien.

Bueno, quitando lo anterior dicho cuento el principio del juego: Nos encontramos al principio a un chico ([b]Nier[/b]) y a su hermano ([b]Yonah[/b]) que están intentando sobrevivir en un mundo gris y oscuro que se está muriendo. Su hermana parece estar enferma, mientras hay dos libros en el suelo, a Nier le toca luchar contra unas sombras así que usa uno de esos libros.

Después de eso, te tienes que esperar cosas filosóficas y muy humanas a través de la narrativa para dejarte como que “somos sentimientos y tenemos seres humanos”.

[h2]🎨Apartado artístico[/h2]

Esta es la versión del juego [b]más detallada en todos los sentidos[/b], ya que mejoran tanto los modelos como los assets, como la música mientras que en lo gráfico se sigue viendo bien sin perder nada de esencia, envejeciendo mejor.

Todo lo que hay alrededor del arte y los diseños de todo en general, son de [b]un estilo muy característico hechos por Yoko Taro[/b]. Por lo que tenemos a mujeres voluptuosas semi en pelotas, chicos con buen cuerpo con unas vestimentas muy peculiares, pero a su vez diseños super monos como el de Emil (si, [b]esa cara rara que parece una luna tétrica[/b]) y a su vez unos enemigos visualmente muy agradables y detallados.

En cuanto a la música[b], es otro elemento que hace el juego sublime y una experiencia que merece mucho la pena jugar[/b]. No hay ninguna música que sea de mala calidad ni desentone con las escenas. Desde la melodía típica que escuchas mientras viajas corriendo por el mapa, hasta las que se usan en escenarios de lucha. Este equipo de Square Enix de músicos es de lo mejor que hay en la industria:

[h2]Opinión Personal[/h2]

Es un juego que me ha gustado bastante, [b]una joya oculta[/b] que no mucha gente habrá jugado o pueda apreciar. Dado a que este tipo de juegos son muy de nicho y están resurgiendo.

Aunque siendo sincero, lo único malo de este juego, es que hay 3 finales capados [b]si no consigues todas las armas[/b] (me hice solo [b]A y B[/b]), algo que me faltaba solo un 20%, pero tras buscar cómo conseguirlas, se me han quitado las ganas de estar 5 o 10h solo para conseguirlos y fui débil buscando en YouTube. En Nier Autómata, este tipo de condiciones no eran tan jodidas y pude conseguir todos los finales hasta el famoso que borra tu partida. En Drakengard, de pequeño no sé como conseguí con mis hermanos sacar el del juego de ritmos con el dragón (y eso que el juego era muy chungo) y alguno más que ni recuerdo. Ya ni me imagino en otros juegos hechos por el mismo autor.

Ahora bien, todas las horas a las que he jugado, las he disfrutado mucho de la narrativa, de algunas misiones secundarias pero sobre todo de la experiencia disfrutando tanto de la música como del gameplay haciendo click.

Termino la reseña pidiendo que metan la saga Drakengard a Steam, da lo mismo que la tengan que cambiar del todo, que le hagan el mismo trato que esta versión de Nier o incluso que sea un port. Son juegos muy de nicho que estarían muy bien en PC sin necesitar un emulador como intermediario.

Very good game. 100% was a bit boring. The only extra ending worth a damn is E. Loved having to look up Kaine's skirt to get the achievement. (We need more of this). It's crazy how we went from a women kicking ass in lingerie to not being able to have an attractive woman in a video game at all.

I know this game is quite old so much of the "reading content" could be awesome gameplay now instead but they were trying for a style and I can appreciate that. Square needs to come back to It's roots.

I do have Automata to 100% as well in the future but it's kind of far on my backlog.

Music is bonkers! I love it, but It's SquareEnix so if they mess that up you know their screwed.

4/5 combat - music 5/5 - story -3.8/5.. Story was the weakest part for me but was still amazing. Overall 8.5/10.
Oh and the voice acting... Mainly the females. Kaine's and the person who did Devola/Popola were amazing in English. The Japanese Kaine was not nearly as good. Same as Weiss, English beats the Japanese head on. i turned on the Japanese because well.. I've been studying for awhile now. It's always weird to me when an English VA beats out a Japanese one. BUT it's a good thing! English VA has come a long way I think. At least in games. You won't ever catch me watching an anime in English.

Щоб завершити гру остаточно, гравець повинен закрити усі маршрути перепроходячи її з середини декілька разів та зібрати всю зброю. Це неймовірно втомлююча рутина, враховуючи небагату бойову систему, прокачування і обмежений світ.

Попри це основний сюжет хороший, хоча подача в нього суперечлива.

Побічні квести повне лайно, класичне сміття, що потребує постійного грінду, який тут зовсім нещадний і випадковий.

Саундтрек, мабуть, єдине, що не викликає питань. Він гарний і чудово доповнює катсцени.

Nierly a triumph of story telling, but marred by some plot elements that hinder the shine when you put any critical thought into it. By the end you'll be able to point at a number of choices by characters that tend to make little to no sense. Locations are repeated too many times, and the main aspect of gameplay can be a bit boring unless you're willing to depart from the most effective measures. It does create a unique experience that only a video game can deliver however.

This defines what it means to be human in a world where we only understand it from our perspective. Both a hero in our own stories, but a villain from someone else's. It paints the world in black and white, but then rips you back into that greyness that defines each of our individual stories. Something that is unique to us, and told from the uniqueness of the video game medium to the maximum extent. By playing through this multiple times, you gain new insight and new perspectives that redefine your actions in multiple ways.

However, there are some fundamental issues when it comes to the logic of many of the decisions from supporting characters. If you prescribe any critical thought to the many events of the game, the threads begin to unravel. There are two characters specifically that spur you to action in ways that run contradictory to their own objectives. Their whole involvement in your quest always pushes you toward the opposite of what they've been planning for and working towards.

When it comes to exploring the world, you'll visit all the locations in the first half of the game, and then repeat them in the second. While there are some differences, it's not quite different enough to make the experience new again. Scenery and maps are just copy and pasted from one part to the next, with a few new elements added along the way. It ends up feeling stale by the half way point of the second half. Also while it was experimental, the Forest of Myth is a slog of an area both times you are required to visit it.

The combat and exploration are the two main aspects you'll experience in terms of interactivity. The combat gets repetitive through both halves of the game. Only by abandoning the efficiencies you've developed is there any way of keeping it fun. You'll need to constantly change how you play the game. Exploration leads to the many character interactions that paint the human experience, but some of them are only experienced when you fill a specific set of circumstances. If they were more accessible, it would have benefitted greatly.

Experiencing the game is joy though, and you'll only really begin to find the faults after you've completed it. Only when you have the wherewithal to sit back and logically thing through how everything went down do you question many of the aspects. In terms of providing something completely unique to the medium of video games, this finds a way to deliver in many of the aspects it set out for.

音乐好听，人设好看，故事挺好。但战斗真的不好玩，虽然有闪避绕后、完美防御，但感觉打所有怪都差不多，战斗策略性感受不到，武器和词条都是一路换新，没研究啥搭配就通关了。
关卡结构像塞尔达（国王拿到面具时还整了个林克的姿势），大世界+神殿迷宫，一路剧情依次开放，但关卡机制没啥动作冒险元素。有的跳跳乐，有的改横板冒险了，在那个小男孩家，直接变生化危机了，进门的那一块和生化1一模一样，连镜头都变生化镜头了。
虽然战斗不好玩，但靠着对剧情的好奇还是通了，虽然很多任务都是纯跑路。

Ha gli anni che ha.
Le sidequest sono abbastanza monotone, a parte qualcuna.
Per poter potenziare tutte le armi, bisogna passare ore ed ore a farmare materiali, così come per ottenere alcuni achievement bisogna letteralmente truccare gli orari del proprio computer o della propria consolle.
Sono abbastanza sicuro che alcune meccaniche del combat system siano buggatissime.

Però.
La trama è incredibile.
Le musiche sono spaziali.
E, soprattutto, è proprio piacevole da giocare.

L'ho platinato.
Con una fatica assurda e ingiusta.
Ma ne sono felice.

一整个游戏体验下来，剧情方面都不如我小学表弟的作文。他看我玩都能问一句为什么明明能活的非得死啊？为什么明明主角在边上配角轻易就死了啊？为什么一只野猪带上了铁皮就能无敌啊？设计这个游戏剧情的人，我建议先把数学从学龄前开始学，至少能有点逻辑思维。就这么说吧，真实世界如果要吃饭那要么选择自己做要么选择买饭，这游戏剧情方面就是先去隔壁拜访一下，然后对方家里死了马了，要和杀了自己马的那头猪报仇，作为奖励把盘子给你，然后你回家从水缸里拿出新鲜的罐头，再去村里几家人来回跑借刀片拼在一起说这是菜刀，强行用菜刀给这个罐子打开倒在了地上，用盘子挖着吃。

A captivating story that goes beyond a brother trying to save his beloved little sister from peril. An existential and moral ponder after you finish Ending A. Can't wait to play Nier:Automata and have a emotionally heavier experience playing it after I finish all of the endings in Replicant. Yoko Taro is truly a visionaire that knows how to give players a emotional punch in the gut.

Единственное, что понравилось - музыка, матюки и сиськи Кайне. Ну, и боевка прикольная.

К сожалению, только начало и конец были хоть как-то интересны. От сюжета, а точнее его подачи, невольно ловишь кринж, скуку и непонимание. Это окей, ведь игра - обновленная версия старой Nier 2010 года, выпущенной только в Японии и сохранившая как раз традиционную манеру. И все же, как по мне, это не оправдание.
Игра не цепляет. Не сопереживаешь, не чувствуешь эмоции. "Поскорее бы пройти уже" - это ужасные мысли для игрока.

Могу рекомендовать к покупке только тем, кто хочет глубокое погружение в мир перед прохождением Nier Automata

the early game is pretty slow but trust me stick through with it and you’ll experience one of the best stories along with one of the best osts in gaming history. You’ll have to play through the game multiple times to fully experience the story but it’s executed really well. Sad to say that I just couldn't enjoy it after all, especially after playing NieR:Automata.

The gameplay with all these sidequests gets more and more repetetive and overall boring if you play more than ending A. I also hated the running part from the final boar boss so much, I will probably never get to ending B because of the horrible choice of the last saving option, which makes me feel like I wasted my whole time trying to get it.

The story is super slow paced and you're forced to do the most unrelevant quests. You don't get anything good out of it and it's not fun. One of the quests required to read a whole story written on a black screen and remembering what it said. The story itself was good to read at first but you had to reread it every time or remember certain things because it kept changing if you got it wrong. The implementation of it was so disappointing because it could've been a good side story. However, other quests were well made for playing it once, the part that made it boring was having to do it all exactly the same for the other endings.

All in all, I played for the story and sadly couldn't enjoy playing more than once due to the gameplay and I recommend only playing ending A, if even, and watch the rest of it.

El juego es extremadamente bello, me habría encantado haberlo jugado antes que Automata pero aún así no dejé de disfrutarlo, me encariñé tanto con los personajes que me duele que para los acontecimientos de Automata ya ninguno de ellos exista con excepción de Emil. Recomiendo muchísimo este juego, no decepciona en lo absoluto.

Actualización: Acabo de terminar todos los finales y valió mucho la pena, me resistía a terminar a final E ya que como no soy una persona que busque todos los logros, significaría que ya no tendría más motivo para volver a jugarlo 💔 aún así lo hice y fue maravilloso aunque me siento triste porque este gran experiencia ha terminado

Сюжет тоже бредятина сон отравленой собаки с душными концовками пробеги пол игры ещё раз и увидишь доп катсцены и так раза три, только концовка Е более менее уникальная. Геймплей тоже поссосс, как обычно фимозная японская двухкнопочная рыбался и средняя боёвка. Музыка тоже средняя лишь моментами выдаёт что-то более менее слушабельное. Automata во всём лучше, играйте в неё.

Vermek istediği mesaj güzel anlatmak istedikleri güzel fakat yeniden yapım bile olsa mekanikler çok eski ayrıca oyunu gerçekten bitirebilmeniz için defalarca yeniden oynamanız lazım bu durum Automata'da da var fakat daha insancıl ve eğlenceli bir şekilde var iken bu oyunda eziyet yaşadım resmen. Yinede ben hikaye insanı olduğum için ve hikayesi de çok kaliteli olduğu için yüksek puanlama yapacağım. "Herkes kendince haklıdır" ve "Anılar unutulmaz ise varlığımız silinmez" gibi temaları işliyor. En azından ben öyle anladım güzeldi Automata seven bunu da oynamalı bence NieR serisi benim için çok özel artık.

Я начал моё знакомство с серии с Automata пройдя на концовку A. И оно мне нафиг не понравилось. Но всё же в начале 2025, поизучав хронологию я начал проходить серию Drakengard которая если кто не знал является приквелом к серии NieR, и в принципе с помощью неё все события в NieR не кажутся такими странными. Drakengard (особенно 3) подарили мне самый лучший игровой опыт в жизни, который я до сих пор вспоминаю с радостью(Эх уж эта концовка D с The Final Song...Целые дни прослушивания песни чтобы пройти этот сегмент). И стала ли NieR Replicant для меня такой же необычной и великолепной? - скорее нет, чем да.

[b]Сюжет [/b] - сразу начну с того, что для меня он показался пока что худшим в произведениях Йоко Таро. Нет какой-то изюминки как в Drakengard - слишком много насилия, крови, вау твистов. Нет, я не говорю что история Эмиля или же Кайне меня не растрогали, и особенно как Нир был мясом для ебли для педофила...Но это не отменяет того что игра стала более детской. Но я больше поговорю об этом при описании мира/сеттинга.
Сам сюжет рассказывается и показывается просто ужасно, вот прохождение игры в первый раз(Ветвь A) вообще нафиг не нужно, оно типо нужно для вау-эффекта в Ветви B, который кстати не работает(Когда идея хорошая, но реализация плохая. Ну только с Роботом и Оружейником чо-то хорошее было). Ветви C/D одно и тоже но только в конце дается выбор, один из которого приведёт к E(Но я как платина-дрочер выбрал C для достижения и приходилось 3 часа опять одно и тоже проходить). Ну а E это тот ещё пизд№ц, иными словами без понимания всего лора ты ♥♥♥ что поймешь. И итоги всей басни таковы - короче мы плохие, но всё же в глубине души мы хорошие потому что считали это хорошим.
Я не отрицаю что это важная часть лора и сюжета в мире DrakeNieR ведь здесь буквально и показывается как надежда всего [spoiler] человечества умирает [/spoiler]. И не буду отрицать что сюжет хороший, но как его раскрывают это ужасно.
Система в Drakengard мне понравилась куда больше, никаких пере-прохождений - чисто зашёл в новый Стих и начал альтернативную развязку сюжета. Но тут тоже свои грехи с собиранием оружия, но в NieR Replicant это теперь вообще не душно, ведь будут они разбросаны чисто в сюжетных местах и доп.квестах. В итоге хочу сказать что фанатам история точно понравится, не принимайте мое описание как будто он прямо дерьмо. Просто сами поиграйте и поймёте.

[b]Геймплей [/b] - это прям то, чего я очень не хочу описывать. Нам дается 3 вида оружия - обычное(Легкое), большие(Тяжёлые), Копья(Средние). Но смысла менять оружие в бое вообще нету, да даже в Drakengard 3 была иногда обходимость менять оружие из-за противников с щитами. А тут её вообще нету. Эти же оружия можно и прокачивать, и прокачка тут происходит должным образом - собери мне тут всякого мусора (гринд) и 1000 монет. И после полной прокачки некоторых оружий они очень сильно ломают игру(4-10 ударов и босс уже валяется) что вроде справедливо, ведь для многих оружий тут гринда на часов 2-5. Но зато в отличие от предшественников у нас тут новая механика - Магия(которая как бы была в Drakengard, но её Герои не использовали). Герой может пулять и копьями, и бить огромными руками, и пулять сферами. И тут наконец достаётся хоть какая-то важность их менять - ведь противников в доспехах быстрее убивать Рукой, летящих - сферами и копьями. И вот это вот круто. Но и мы и тут не заканчиваем с геймплеем - тут есть настоящий огород! Тут можно выращивать и помидоры, огурцы, цветы, да даже легендарные Лунные Слёзы которые так отчаянно искала Йона. И главная вишенка на торте - они прорастают от реального времени(от 1 суток до даже 2). И тут мы тоже не отходим - в нашем инвентаре имеется удочка! И это реально крутое занятие чтобы отдохнуть от ужасных побочных заданий и всей духоты в игре. Просто стоишь, ждёшь, берёшь на крючок рыбу и по направлению нажимаешь стрелки. Очень расслабляет без шуток, выловил всех рыб для достижения.
Мир - ну мир очень маленький, и большинство тут занимает простые пустоши со множеством врагов. Занятия тут очень однотипные, собери да подай мне это. И из этого состоит 90% всех Побочных заданий. Исключения - это прокачка навыков рыбалки, и история про Бабушку работающая на маяке, вот эта вот история реально довольно интересная. Но это всего-лишь один такой пример, и всё.
С боссами дело 50/50, в первой половине игры(Когда Нир маленький) они имели разнообразие - одного можно убить только магией, а потом закидывай его рот бомбами. Второй это огромный чувак из кубов которому придется уничтожать только те кубы, которые надо. Третий это два босса, и пока с одним ты борешься другой отдыхает и так по очереди - и это всё в первой половины игры. А вторая половина(Взрослый Нир) - почти повторение того что уже было, только Повелитель Теней и Волк пытаются как то выделяться. Вся игра поэтому иногда скучная, особенно в прохождении Ветвей B/C/D.

А теперь поговорим о чём то приятном - [b]Саундтрек[/b]. Кэити Окабэ как всегда сделал великолепное музыкальное сопровождение. Сами песни состоят из древнего языка который фиг разберешь, и на то есть хорошая причина - не отвлекать игрока от игры. И вслушаться хоть и в непонятную по содержанию песня, но всё же красивую и звучную. Отдельно отмечу что больше всего мне понравилась Kainé / Salvation - невероятный замечательный голос, необычная драматургия в этой песне. И также её "ремикс" Kainé / Escape - сначала при его прослушивании я его не прочувствовал. Но когда наконец в конце Ветви E я его услышал это было просто восхитительно, у меня слезы покатились честное слово. Кэити Окабэ, дай бог тебе жизни и счастья родной. Боже, да я даже сейчас смотрю оркестровые концерты и так плакать хочется. Но всё же хочу отметить, что не хватает энергичных саундтреков в Босс-файтах как в Drakengard 3, но всё же опустим это.

[b]Концовка E/DLC за Отца Нира:[/b]
В Ветви E нам предоставят управление за Кайне, и это прям глоток свежего воздуха - новые комбо, супер удары вместо магии. Да вообще всё чувствуется по другому.
В DLC нам дают поиграть за Отца Нира(ну а точнее это Нир из европейской версии NieR), и это тоже глоток свежего воздуха в геймплее - более быстрое управление, энергичные ремиксы уже нам знакомых песен(прямо то, о чём я имел ввиду про Саундтрек). Оно прям меня очень порадовало, лорной важности оно не имеет но всё же улыбку на лицо оно у меня привело.

И теперь подойду прям к минусам, и первое разочарование у меня в этой игре это сеттинг. Как я уже говорил в начале, по сравнению с Drakengard это какой-то милый чудо остров. Мне вообще оно не зашло и не понравилось, вот честно. Если в Drakengard драконы, инцесты, кровь, религии, культы, магия. То в NieR полу-роботы, тени, фембои, магия. Конечно же для меня вариант первый лучше.
И второе разочарование - игра как будто не закончилась. Drakengrard 3 мне явно дал понять - это конец, финальная ритм игра(кстати жалко её здесь нет), прощание Аккорд с игроком. А тут...просто какая-то непонятная аудиозапись где все говорят "спасибо за игру" и...всё. Мне как будто в уши нассали, честно. Этим я прям очень недоволен.
Также: Много повторений одних и тех же НПС в поселениях и даже в сюжетных местах. Много сюжетных дыр в сюжете. Очень плохая смена оружий, и много чего ещё.

[b]Подводя итоги, ещё раз повторюсь это пока что для меня худшая игра от Йоко Таро. Я не порекомендую игру для тех, кто вообще не знает о событиях Drakengard. Не поймите меня не правильно, это хорошая игра. Но в этой же игре много проблем которые прямо видны на глазах. И в отличие Drakengard, которым я не могу сказать точную оценку даже субъективно из-за того что они покорили моё сердце. То тут я точно готов сказать что это 6-8.5 - ни больше не меньше. В общем как-то так, для платины мне осталось пройти игру за 15 часов, и я это сделаю. Очень много я как-то негатива собрал, даже дальнейшую Automata не хочется проходить, ибо смотря на это мне кажется серия деградировала.

Realmente me ha dado tristeza y un lagrimeo de que este juego tan bello se haya acabado me provoco muchas emociones la verdad,la conexion con los protagonistas y mas, al inicio quizas es algo aburrido porque son misiones de ir y volver punto A,B y C pero conforme avanzas y llegas al acto 2, simplemente quizas es lo mismo pero mucho mejor ya que se entorna mas emocionante eso su es melancolico me hubiera gustado que la ruta E hubiera durado un poco mas fue corta pero bueno realmente siento que es mejor que automata en cuanto a historia y conexion de personajes en la banda sonora tambien siento que es algo mejor pero por alli estan....

Heavily flawed, but excellent game. The game has a great story and characters, as well as a beautiful soundtrack. There are some really nice looking locations as well, but they do get kind of old as you will spend a lot of time in them. The game also contains numerous meta references to other game genres, that provide nice breaks in Nier's typical gameplay formula.

The combat isn't great (basically just spam the same few buttons), but it's fast paced enough that I never found it to be too much of a problem. Do not play this game on hard difficulty, it makes everything in the game way too tanky. I would not recommend playing the game if gameplay is the main draw for you.

The game's story doesn't start out super strong (basically just starts with mandatory fetch questing), but it picks up later on. The game is also full of side quests that follow the same fetch quest formula, I would recommend mostly ignoring these and focusing on the story.

There are 5 endings to the story, end you'll have to replay parts of the game multiple times to get all of them. If you play this game, I would recommend you to do at least the first two endings. If you only complete the game once, you are missing out on a great deal of important story content.

Overall, I would pretty eagerly recommend Nier Replicant to most people, just be aware of the flaws you will have to tolerate when playing.

This is what I feel about the game after reaching ending e:

We make mistakes, we do stupid things, and we change. These are our essential parts, the things that fill the gaps within us. We are not broken objects to be fixed, we are broken because that is simply how life works. There is nothing wrong with being damaged. The lives we lead might hurt us, and it can feel absurd, but there is always hope to continue. Connection with others is part of what makes us whole. So, be kind and find your own meaning, your own lunar tear, your own reason to go on. Whether it is a person, a loved one, or even a stray cat you pet on your way to work, the bonds we find on our journeys (doesn't matter how small and trivial they may be) do more than just give us someone or something to live for. They provide us with countless opportunities to unite the fragments of our existence and give them meaning.

Now it is time for my review. No hard feelings.

If you are playing this game and your introduction to the series was through automata, like mine, be aware that this is not a "complete or proper remake" in the sense of completely modernising mechanics or controls. The gameplay is okay, there are different weapon types to choose from and magic and whatnot, however, the traversal system feels painfully obsolete considering how much backtracking is required for side quests. Additionally, the constant loading screens will test your patience after committing a few hours into the game.

To reach the true ending (E), you must finish the game multiple times and engage with parts of side content (doing particular side quests to get certain items), which makes that content feel less like an "extra" fun content you normally do in other games to immerse yourself in the world of the game you are playing, and more like a requirement, a must. I believe this was definetely a questionable design choice. Apparently, the developers tried to retain too many mechanics from the original nier (2010) game for the sake of loyalty, without adding enough modern refinements to make this game feel like a real remake. I have not played the original, but this game was not what I expected from a title published in 2021 as a remake.

This game will frustrate you more than you might think. However, if you can push past the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and repetitive parts, you will be rewarded with a truly inspirational and uplifting conclusion. So, give it a shot.

ps. I must say, the ost is full of absolute bangers.

Played Automata before this one and I've been really disappointed to be honest. I loved Automata and its storyline because everything made sense, but Replicant isn't the same because everything seems much more rushed without explanation. The second it all started revolving around unexplained magic was when it all got less appealing. Something I also want to mention is how all of the characters just annoyed me, mainly because of their voice acting, but the way they conversate irritates me. Sometimes this game feels like a chore to play. The only thing that met my expectations was the soundtrack; that was still great.

Writing this after completing "Ending C" which is the most of the meat in the main story line of Nier.
I would recommend this to someone who is interested in the Yoko Taro games. I find that I want to discover more about the characters after each ending.

There are a couple personal issues that I have with the game.
1. Repetitive gameplay can get very tedious to achieve the other endings. [spoiler] There are no new bosses once you finish Ending A. You have to do the 5 mainline story bosses over and over for smaller cutscenes that where intentionally left out of Ending A [/spoiler]

2. Grind for resources.
This game makes you grind out rare material drops from enemies and harvest nodes. Which can make side quests very tedious to do especially if it needs 5-10+ rare materials. You will spend hours going through harvest nodes and refreshing the map zones. This makes the gameplay loop extremely boring and artificially inflates a player's game time.

3. I don't really care for the speed run achievements for completion.

This game and it's lore is something I have never experienced and a really wonderful game I have played nier automata and played all of its ending but have never played this one. after watch a 6 hour vid on it I decided to get the game for myself and I can safely say I do not regret getting it. it is a wonderful game and I 100% recommend getting this game and automata even tho the grind for ending C to E is a bit cooked its still worth getting and doing all the endings for both games.

I got this game because people said to play it before Automata. Haven't played Automata yet but this game was a masterpiece, down to the music, character interactions, and story. It managed to make me laugh, cry, and stress throughout the entire game.

The only thing I'd say is 'bad' about it is going back and forth for side quests, however it's not that bad if you plan ahead.
