Game is unfortunately a buggy unplayable mess. Bugs I have experienced so far:

Going through a loading zone while mounting, causing me to die instantly (HOW????) when exiting the loading zone. This then triggered the save point, meaning respawning at my last checkpoint instakilled me, and reviving (respawning at your last checkpoint) also instakilled me. This bricked my save. nice.
Multiple out of bounds issues.
Quest that refuses to turn in despite all prerequisites being met. Each of the lore markes on the map was replaced with the turn in sidequest icon. Had to replace save a second time. nice.
Camera completely breaking between loading zones necessitating a relaunch of the game if you want your POV back. top down is good and all but what if instead we made you look straigh ahead, with the terrain blocking you, so your entire screen is just a wall of 'rock' or whatever the biome dictates.
Horrible collision issues when using the ice walk mechanics.

Outside of the bugs, the moment to moment gameplay is kinda uninspiring, every """puzzle""" is a chore, no fast travel between zones is infuriating, and the 'send decoy' being bound to the same key as the mount by default is possible the most retarded default bind i've even enouneterd. you clip one pixel of a wall (wish dodgy collision mind you) and you get autodismounted, where continuing to hold the mount key then drops you into the decoy mode wasting even more time from your dismount that you only use beacuse they didnt just allow you to teleport.

graphics and story/lore are adequate (nothing amazing but nothing terrible) but not worth suffering through the rest of the game to get to.

Overall - A short typing game to waste some time on, but be prepared for bugs and an underwhelming story and characters. 3/10

Art style - Like a storybook, simply animated but strong in character.

Gametime - Took about 5-6 hours to beat the game

Storyline - A very simple story of a dying son and his father wanting to save him at all costs, that made it seem like a fairytale in nature when hearing it, but ultimately becomes the main focus. I was unable to really get into the story as it felt bland and lacking of character of any kind, the very basic voice acting reinforced that feeling and it did not mix well with how they progressed the story.

Gameplay - It's a typing game, all of your attacks are dictated by words that you type, some themed to the creature that it's tailored to, but nevertheless just a typing game. It became very repetitive quickly as the words repeated many times, the ability to mix and match spells was interesting but I found that half of them were relatively useless or I just never knew how to use them properly. There's hardly any guide or tutorials in this regard which made it frustrating. Overall though it was very clunky gameplay, your character has to effectively stop moving while you type and it becomes a bit boring after some time. The main part where you are discovering plants and animals is neat, but underwhelming as these are all fictional creatures and wild life. Remembering any of it has no meaning and serves no purpose.

Bugs / Issues - Frankly this is where I almost quit the game once or twice. From a UI standpoint there is no mini-map that is displayed default on your screen, you have to hold down the tab button or hit ESC to pause the game and see a larger version of the map. Binds do not save. The default movement keys are esdf instead of wasd, and you have to change it every time you start the game up.

I faced multiple game breaking bugs including the mini map appearing and getting stuck on my screen which blocked half of the view. There were many areas that you could easily get stuck on and your character can't move. They literally had a respawn button stating to go back to a checkpoint in the case your character gets stuck, which I had to use often. A couple of time a mini-boss got stuck in the air and I had to reset the encounter and one time the monsters were given 2x speed out of nowhere.

Frankly the game felt unfinished and it's bug ridden to a point where it can be very frustrating if you encounter them multiple times in a short period of time.

Chcesz poprawić swoje umiejętności bezwzrokowego, szybkiego pisania na klawiaturze? To lepiej zagraj w Epistory (tak jakby poprzednia cześć). Nanotale to gra co najwyżej średnia przez różne problemy ze sterowaniem czy błędy w grze (nawet w menu jest informacja, że jeśli postać się gdzieś zablokuje to należy wczytać zapis ostatniego punktu kontrolnego). Kolejna gra, której nie wiadomo jaką ocenę wystawić, bo aż tak źle nie było żeby zasługiwała na negatywa, ale jednocześnie jest męcząca i irytująca przez błędy. Wystawię negatywa dla przestrogi.

一进游戏开头动画长得像2005年的画面，bug离奇地多，开了中文字幕却无法显示，我居然在靠英语听力勉强理解剧情（当然这个游戏配音挺好的，语速和语调感觉可以开英文字幕作为学习材料
[b] 总体上，不管是美术还是打字、解谜甚至剧情都不及前作纸境奇缘。 [/b]（虽然我忘了纸境奇缘的剧情是什么了
作为续作的魔境奇缘从纸境奇缘的冰、火、电、风四元素魔法变成了推、拉、治疗、火、冰、电、毒、水魔法，看似丰富了技能实际只显得冗余，不及前作四元素技能逐步解锁显得简洁清晰，视觉上抛弃了前作折纸风格的独特美术使得美术也变得平庸。
但也不是全无优点，魔境奇缘整体玩下来最舒适的是RPG内容，女主在魔法成长上给玩家的成就感非常强，从一开始面对怪物举步维艰，有的甚至要靠全程潜行，到后来全屏乱杀一招制敌，RPG的升级满足感部分做得很好。然而由于打怪通过打字输出，在打字竞技上也不如纸境奇缘，魔境奇缘中绝大多数精英战boss战都不是遭遇战，而是生存战，不必全体消灭敌人而是坚持一定秒数就可以通关，这就使得女主甚至可以通过跑图逃课，打字成就感不高。
但作为一个打字游戏，它拥有着非常垃圾的打字词汇库，有谁能在2025年细看这些词汇：[u] 禁止套娃、阿伟死了（游戏里甚缩写AWSL）、我爱罗（显然翻译者夹带私货）、网抑云、单身狗 [/u]……
这就是为什么很反感在翻译作品中看见网络梗，当翻译者无脑使用网络梗偷懒时会使作品寿命变得很短，显然这个游戏就是如此，这些词汇已经不适合被现在的玩家看到了。

大致剧情梗概：男反派因为不信魔法只信科学把他有卓越魔法天赋的男儿害死了，并在此过程中造成了三个地区的人民大量伤亡，为了救他男儿到森林骗白女王修黑魔法偷森林核心、偷洞窟守卫蛇的血导致世界感染，但男儿依然死了（因为森林的魔力成了灵魂形态的狐狸），同样有卓越魔法天赋的女主就在治疗世界的过程中阻止仍在走火入魔的男反派，最后也不是靠女主打败的反派，而是狐狸话疗他爹成功最后一起死了。（一种如鲠在喉的感觉

[b]女主塑造 [/b]：约等于没有。全程只起到一个作为档案管理员收集图鉴的作用，虽然npc会夸她拥有很强的魔法能力，但传送魔法只和狐狸绑定，和狐狸分开之后就无法使用传送魔法，但前文明明已经写过传送魔法是白女王送给女主的能力……
女性关系上，提及和女主有关系的仅有两位——养母兼老师和生母，养母只在大结局之前出现了一下说了句so proud of you，其它时候全程消失。生母是和男反派决裂带着女儿出走的大魔法师，依旧全程神隐，女主是孤儿，npc甚至说女主的母亲不是好人但很勇敢，可惜后来也完全没有提及，仅活在两三句台词中的母亲。

[b]男狐狸和男反派 [/b]：一开始听到狐狸是男性配音的时候已经有不好的预感，但开头剧情是帮助被男反派迫害的白女王并净化她治理的森林王国给我骗进去玩了这个游戏。
然而越玩越不理解这个世界的每个人为什么都在心疼狗屎男反派。
白女王被女主救了之后：“我不怪他骗我学黑魔法，他也很可怜，男儿死了。”
白女王的臣民：？？？？？
男反派治理的太阳城被父子俩搞出的大灾难破坏成了一座沙漠死城，然后沙漠中的没得种田没有家园连喝水都困难的普通人发言：“男反派超厉害！即使是女主的母亲也不得不承认他在科学上的造诣！那场毁灭国家的大灾难不是他的错！他怎么知道他男儿有那么强的魔法天赋！我不怪他也不怪他的男儿，因为他们也失去了家人！所有人都是受害者！”
？？？？？？？？？？
感觉为了心疼男反派已经一点道理都不讲了，沙漠里立着一堆因为这对父子而死亡的人民的墓碑，然后没有一个被他所害的npc责怪他。
最后也没有女主直接对抗男反派的剧情，最终boss战就是女主一边听男狐狸话疗他爹一边命苦地打一堆小怪，我玩到这个游戏也觉得自己很命苦。

I really enjoyed the game. What is nice is there is not really a diffulculty. i would say that if there is a diffculty that it would mostly be on how fast you can type. lukily a work around that is that you can type in your spells and stop casting move away and then throw the spell on the enemy. this game is a lot of fun if you enjoy typing.

通关光速来写差评。

1.跑图体验糟糕
打字探索的玩法是好的，我也很喜欢一边探索一边收集各种有趣的动植物，但是反复跑图的体验真挺糟，我9.5个小时通关，感觉一小半时间都在跑图琢磨我怎么才能收集到那个看得到但就是摸不到的植物。

2.卡关bug
包括但不限于在靠魔法生成的地形（冰块，干旱灌木丛）上卡脚；走进墙角卡住只能原地转圈；打沙漠守卫（那几个大手）时沙漠守卫卡住不下来，只能退出到主菜单重进。

3.其他bug
键位设置bug：esdf取代wsad是不是常见操作我先不评价，但是为什么我每次退出游戏重进都要重新设置键位，合着这游戏是完全没有记录吗。冲刺和召唤灵狐诱饵的键也默认都是shift，导致我每次冲刺结束都有很大概率莫名其妙召唤出诱饵（我是长按shift党）。

4.本地化翻译：拉中拉
本地化工程做得很好，有不同的字体（笔记的字体我很喜欢），cg也配上了字幕。但是这个翻译的质量，真心有种好白菜被猪拱了的感觉。术语不统一、说话风格严重ooc（开头老师的那几句话就让我绷不住了）、错别字、漏译（植物百科里就漏了一个名字）、语义翻译不到位（对话不难，四六级过了想必都能听懂，听得懂就能听出不少问题）……但最让我忍不了的是，我玩的不是一个奇幻背景的游戏吗？为什么我敌人的头上会出现“网抑云（WANGYIYUN）”（对，就是这个抑）“我爱罗（WOAILUO）”“阿伟死了（AWSL）”“星际玩家（XINGJIWANJIA)”这种词？更别提还有些词的拼音都没打对（极少，但是确实存在）。这我真得好好问问负责翻译的译员和审校了。

如果没有那么拉跨的翻译，也许我会给好评。

二编：和人聊了聊，才发现还有两个问题没写

5.任务系统差
探索类型的游戏分主线和支线，完全没问题，但为什么完全没有专门的任务菜单查看？以至于我都不知道我完成了哪些支线，又有什么可能的任务没完成（虽然完全不影响成就）。真得碰上一个NPC就问候一声才能排查（前提是你能找到在地图上完全没有标记的NPC）。洞穴里给长老看在阳光下盛开的某种植物那个任务还有bug，跑遍了洞里所有有这种植物的地方都没触发互动。

6.教学几乎不存在
为什么说几乎呢？因为我在学会la和tui这这两个法术的时候，屏幕上还出现了让我用这两个法术把羊赶走的说明。但是huo、du、bing这一类呢？完全没有说明。最右侧的juda、jiu、rui也没有任何说明，以至于我到通关都不知道这个rui到底是什么效果。所有的法术组合都是自己探索出来，这个完全没问题，但是你连基本的教学都没有，甚至法术记录都没有，是不是有点太复古了。

I will give this a pass, has much flaws that makes the game a sour experience like the story and how everything felt so inferior compared to Epistory, Nanotale is essentially the worst experience despite the achievements being easy to get.

The game even looks unfinished and there is an annoying part where you need to rebind the keys everytime you load into the game, not being patched is why I question the people who worked on this game. I was able to play through the game without being soft locked.

Disappointing. Performance is poor and the game lags badly when you cast a spell. It's buggy & requires a reboot on occasion. Character tends to get stuck. World feels empty and dull. Ending is abrupt and not satisfying. Typing mechanic seems novel but becomes a chore.

Successeur spirituel d'Epistory a typing chronicles. Le jeu à forcément évolué, cette fois ci il s'agit d'un côté plus aventure. Par exemple on devra gérer les mouvements en combat, chose qu'on ne pouvait pas faire dans le précédent. Il y a également un côté RP avec des dialogues où il faut taper sa réponse.

L'histoire est sympathique mais ce n'est pas le plus important dans ces jeux. Les sorts, les possibilités sont plus nombreuses, la DA est magnifique. Franchement ces jeux ne sont pas des triples A mais ils sont originaux.
Bien sur comme le précédent prenez le comme un entrainement pour taper correctement et vite sur votre clavier. Moi je l'ai fait avec un Moonlander de chez ZSA.

Une manière ludique d'apprendre la dactylo et de progresser.
Durée de vie moyenne : 8.5 heures ce qui pour le genre est quand même pas mal. Un poil plus long que le précédent.

不止金山打字通。打字只是表象，本质还是常规rpg。玩法核心在于法术组合的策略。剧情聊胜于无，整体来说在独立游戏中算还不错的水平。bug有点多，并且中文体验并不好。翻译会漏，也有错别字，文字对应拼音还有不少错的。特别是关键词简直瞎jb写的吧。什么awsl禁止套娃网抑云的纯属夹带私货，跟交互对象一点关系都没有。

A quick game that's easy to get all the achievements on.
However, it's glitchy. I kept getting stuck on the environment and when fighting certain mini-bosses in a later area, the audio wasn't in sync with the actions. Also I had to change my keybindings every time I opened the game. I remember enjoying the first game, this one is just a strong meh. It just kind of ends and that's how I feel about it.

Overall a fun game but with some frustrations.

The gameplay is standard adventure fare with RPG elements mixed in (leveling up, gain skills). The music is decent and works with the areas and situations. The art style is well done and has a storybook type feel thought the simplistic graphics lend it a mobile game type aesthetic. It won't tax your GPU, but there were some instances where the fans on my card revved up quite a bit. In one such occasion, they didn't slow down until a little bit after I'd exited the game.

The story is fairly standard for a video game: find the big bad and stop them. Unfortunately, it doesn't always flow very well and things are brought up without any indication (which isn't too bad) while others are brought up then never really explored. The ending also was pretty abrupt.

There were some issues with pathing which resulted in me getting stuck. In all except one of these instances, I was thankfully in a place where the game progression un-stuck the character, or there was a mechanism to get out of the situation. The game itself provides a respawn function, so my guess is that this issue was/is known.

I had fun with this one and think it's a decent follow up to [i]Epistory.[/i] I am fond of typing games and enjoyed that this developer made two games that are adventures with typing elements incorporated. I'd love to see more from Fishing Cactus and other developers.

Don't get me wrong, the game is fun and has really nice tidbits of lore you get by studying the regions, but its not something I'd recommend due to some glaring issues:
- controls don't save upon remap, which speaks for itself
- the idea is fun, but the execution isnt done as well as the first game, where you are put on the clock to type the necessary words to defeat an enemy as quickly as possible. in this game it takes an RPG approach to deal damage instead and focus more on mana/casting spells, which takes away from the typing aspect
- game feels rushed, eg. there are still buttons in there such as the "respawn" button which already says enough about how buggy this game can feel
- performance isnt the best. there was a much higher focus on the visuals for this game and it made it much more heavier for my device to run in comparison to the first game. whether its unoptimized or not, playing on lowest settings shouldn't induce lag when i'm at the minimum requirements

I can really appreciate the idea, but in the end it feels like the developers were overambitious with this and ended up cutting corners to compensate for it. its really unfortunate given how much potential this game had - either way, get it only if you get a very cheap deal, its still fun, just very far from up to standards compared to its predecessor.

I wanted to love this game, just like I loved Epistory, but no.

Controls suck so bad and the overall gaming experience was just so sucky that I ended up uninstalling the game pretty soon. I wast just so frustrated most of the time, not enjoying the game. I have many more games that I will surely enjoy and want to spend my time with.

I loved Epistory, cleared it twice, and was looking forward to Nanotale. I've only played it for half an hour and I only have bad things to say about it, which is a pity.

For one, there is no manual save function, so you have to be careful about when you leave the game. I finished the prologue, talked to the man, did a bit of exploration, and all that progress was gone in the next playthrough. Either make the auto-save a lot more frequent, or let people manually save. Atm it's just a time-waster that is annoying and frustrating.

I changed the keybinding for walking from ESDF to WASD as it affects my touch typing, and when I boot up the game again, it's back to ESDF again. Do I have to change it every time I start the game? That's stupid.

It also lags badly and makes my laptop really hot, none of which I noticed in Epistory. I really wanted to like this game because I enjoyed Epistory a lot, but it's really not good.

Nanotale is an adventure game that uses typing prompts to attack, explore, and connect with the world around you. Having played its predecessor, Epistory, I knew that I would enjoy this game. That said, there were quite a few bugs -- some of which were nearly game-breaking, though most could be fixed by restarting the game.
I think that the story is well-written and the characters add to its charm. However, the ending kind of left me with that, "What now?" feeling, especially since the cooler spells you learn towards the end don't have any use outside of the arena.
There aren't a lot of story-rich typing games out there, and for that I think that games like Nanotale are refreshing, but I can't say I would recommend it at its current price of $19.99USD. If you can pick this game up in a sale or a bundle, I think it's worth it for sure.

This game doesn't let you like it no matter how hard you try.

At first it seems okayish
Once you reach second 30% , you receive a bug where you start getting
1. Dying between switching locations.
2. Movement getting stuck.

Once you reach third 30%, it starts also
1. Getting minimap stuck on screen (temporarily removable y holding map key instead of usual behaviour).
2. Camera gets stuck while switching locations, the "respawn" button does nothing to fix it.

The whole fight mechanic of waiting until you get proper line throught moving enemies is okay at first, boring by the second 30% of the game.

The "skillpoint" system if more than a joke - you a forced to get the "fake fox" skill which is constantly bugging with your sprint button, making already clunky controls even more sever.

Everything is fixable by restarting the game but honestly at one point it gets so annoying that you give 8 unfixable bugs in a row that you just stop caring about any surroundings / "plot" (what was it again?) and just force yourself to rush to the ending.

I was thoroughly enjoying it, more than I liked Epistory as I liked the mechanics a bit more, but then I ran into the Western Guardian bug that has apparently been there since release and hasn't really been fixed. If this could be fixed so that I can finish it and can recommend to others, that would be great, but given it's track record, I cannot.

This feels like they wanted a successor to Epistory, to make it bigger and better, but didn't have the budget or time.
The graphics are pretty, though not as stylised as in Epistory.
The story feels a little cobbled together, with many statements repeating, and the voice acting is inconsistent. From volume changes to entirely unfit intonations for the place in the story.
The roots in the desert area are very funky to walk on, with many invisible walls you keep bumping into. In general I can't remember a point that felt satisfying or smooth.
The last cave cutscene didn't have sound for me? Though I can't be sure that wasn't just a bug from tabbing.
The combat isn't as pure as it was in Epistory either. The shape modifiers for spells are fun for puzzles, but hardly useful in combat. Which in itself doesn't feel very powerful because you're gonna blow your entire mana on a "large fire" or a "large zap" and then you're just regularly typing again while it recharges. The typing was the limiting factor to what you could do in Epistory, but it isn't here.

Overall, if you enjoyed Epistory for its beauty, vibe and purity in mechanics, give this one a miss. If you haven't played Epistory, play that instead.

As far as typing games go this is the second best out there, in fact it's second only to the first typing game published by Fishing Cactus, Epistory. The story is engaging and the game play fairly unique. I say fairly unique only because it greatly resembles what they did in Epistory. They did go a different route with graphics in regard to Nanotale over Epistory and it's not as charming but it's enjoyable and beautiful to look at. Overall I highly recommend Nanotale to anyone who is considering purchasing it but do suggest you go buy Epistory first as it's a better game overall. Don't get me wrong though, Nanotale is 100% worth the purchase.

I'm no game reviewer, but I have to echo the negative reviews this game has been getting. I loved Epistory, but this game has so many buggy issues. Boss fights not starting, the character getting stuck in place and having to reboot, the camera not zooming out for a boss (!!!! this meant I only had about half of the usual area to work with). All that on top of having to hunt for lore pieces to unlock abilities and a pretty obscured route made for a medium/bad experience. I could ignore rough game design if things functionally worked the whole time. I finished the game, it is fairly fun, just extremely frustrating to work with.

Right before playing this, I played its "spiritual predecessor" Epistory, and I think you should read that review first @ https://steamcommunity.com/id/Yoodiv/recommended/398850?snr=1_5_9__402

This one is pretty similar. Overall worse, but still worth playing if you get it cheap.
Controls - also pure typing
Visuals - no more papercraft awesomeness, this is pretty but nothing special.
Map is much improved, but no more fast travel.
Story - same/worse, unrelated to the first game but same style
Game is not as polished, and I encountered a few bugs, but nothing major.

Gameplay had so much potential here, but it wasn't explored too much, you'll need to read the spoilered section for details.

You get XP for pretty much everything. Quests, killing monsters, scanning flora/fauna in the wild to learn about them (includes lore).

As you level up you gain HP/Mana/Mana Regen and unlock perks. During the first few levels you get to select from 3, as if you're playing a roguelite, but soon (level ~10?) that goes away and you're railroaded into a standard 1 at each level, lol.

In combat, You can simply type an enemy's word to do a "normal" amount of damage. That can take from 1-4 hits to kill most guys. Your powerful moves are a variety of TRUE MAGIC spells, you start with none and unlock them as you progress through the game. Until you get the "Self" target, you need to have a monster or environment target to cast it at. They get a targetting type, their main type, and a modifier

From here on, spoiler warning for details on the spells etc. [spoiler]
Target types:
(none): small radius around the target
Ray: affects everything directly from you to the target and beyond, covering the whole area
Spread: ~5 random circles get affected, splattered around the target randomly
Self: emanating from yourself. A game changer once you get it since you don't need an environmental target and can cast spells anywhere.
Modifiers:
Long: long duration, stays active on the play field for longer
Large: size increased. I used this exclusively.
Sharp: I think the tutorial prompt said damage is increased? Perhaps I should have tried that out more.
Main spells:
Pull/Push: it's like wind or magnets. Pulls/pushes creatures from the target. Blows away the Zap plants.
Fire: puts fire on the ground, DOT on enemies, works fairly well. Burns some plants, melts ice, explodes poison. Can burn yourself.
Water: Makes the ground wet. If connected to Poison, it will all become poisoned. Makes some plants grow.
Ice: freezes water, I think that's the only thing it does. Might damage/slow enemies a bit?
Zap: toggles electronics, damages enemies, makes plants grow out of (most) sand. Can zap yourself. It spreads through water and possibly also poison.
Life: cleanses poison, but has a limited range. If there's too much poison, it will take back over pretty fast. Makes lily pads grow large enough to walk on, and some other plants grow too.
Poison: puts poison liquid on the ground, will spread into plain water. DOT for enemies and yourself, and can be exploded (leaving no liquid behind) with fire. This is the only way I found to get rid of water.
-The zap plants and ice grow to a higher elevation so you can make a bridge out of them.
-There are some critters that will follow you around and give you a spot to anchor spells from/to.

So as you can see, there are a lot of cool mechanics at play here, and you have time to tinker with them during normal gameplay, but not combat. Sadly, they didn't do a whole lot in terms of puzzles using these. In the gauntlets you can't really use spells while frantically typing words to keep enemies at bay. Or maybe I just suck at the strats.

In the gauntlets (which return from Epistory), the mana was a huge problem, even at max level 30. Cast any spell, and you have to wait quite a while for it to charge back up. While it's recharging, you can't even queue up (type the) spell targets/modifiers, it's terrible. So I mostly just brute-force typed the hell out of things.

Epistory had some heavy foes with extremely long words to type out, but there's none of that, and no numbers in this one.

Achievements: All very achievable and fairly easy to chase down at endgame, now that the map works well. Mostly you need to play through the story, and scan all the plants (etc) you encounter.
There is NOT an achievement for finding the fishing pickle this time, but I did find him and took a screenshot :)

体验明显不如上一部纸境奇缘Epistory。
Bug很多，包括但不限于运行一段时间莫名其妙奇卡无比、敌人莫名其妙不动/动作极其缓慢、角色被地形卡住，前两个需要退出游戏重进才能解决，后者经常需要使用游戏自带的自杀功能重置位置。
以及到最后全成就通关也没解决的已完成的任务（寻找学习第一块冲击魔法）一直显示未完成，图标一直在地图上提示，害得我花了将近一小时到处找。
此外还有词语拼写错误，导致经常打错字。
地图行走体验不佳，层层叠叠经常需要绕很久才能抵达目的地，而大地图和小地图的显示都并不实用。

优点是游戏的难度不高，且大部分时间自带一次复活，基本打字速度不是太慢能盲打的玩家都能轻松全成就通关，成就都比较简单，没有硬卡恶心人的。

Este juego me vino de regalo con mi teclado Voyayer.

Siempre había querido aprender touch-typing y este juego es justo lo que hace falta para motivarte junto a mi nuevo teclado.

Pensé que iba a estar sólo en inglés, pero tanto la interfaz como las mecánicas en el juego está muy bien traducidas a varios idiomas, incluso español. Aunque para el español, por ejemplo, las palabras con acentos en realidad no es necesario acentuarlas.

Un par de veces me quedé atrapado, pero tiene una opción en el menú para destrabarte fácilmente.

Inicialmente me pareció raro que las teclas de navegación eran ESDF en vez de WASD, pero es lo mejor de este juego, que te ayuda a aprender buenas prácticas de tipeo ergonómico. Recomiendo usar los controles predeterminados si tienes una distribución QUERTY; para otra distribución, como Dvorak u Colemak, deberías usar la postura inicial de tu distribución para tu mano izquierda (la idea es mover lo menos posible tu mano, así las teclas de moverte deben estar en tu posición base).

Nanotale is the perfect typing adventure story game. It had a brilliant story, awesome lore, and teaches good life principles and increases your typing skills while you play. However, the bosses feel way too easy and you can't replay them unless you restart the game, and that is my only complaint with this game.
It has a beautiful atmosphere, I love the different magics and how they interact with the world around them. My favorite aspect of the game was the characters that were put in it. And overall, the game gets a nine out of ten, because there are just a few things that needed to be changed and it would be perfect.
PS as a side note, one of those things was that you couldn't choose the skill to upgrade like you could in Epistory (Another quality game made by this company!), and you couldn't explore certain areas after you completed them. I still highly recommend this game to other players, It's one of my favorites, so yeah!

Nevermind the bruhv story, the downgraded combat, the absolute messy hitboxes, the desert layout, the lack of content (just go there and analyze X plant).

THIS GAME IS FULL OF BUGS. From start to finish. I had to download a DEV SAVE FILE to be able to complete it. I'm talking about the Desert Hand Guardians. They would just sit there, not spawn any enemies, and locked my progression.

I literally couldn't count how many times I had to press the "Respawn" or "Return to menu" buttons.
This is a game that you can finish in one day, but you're better off not.
It's a shame, because Epistory was amazing and better in every single way. Idk what happened here. Really frustrating stuff. Wouldn't have bought it if I knew about the sheer amount of bugs.

This installation is much worse than the first, the way the puzzles work became annoying, especially with this sheep herding, to do it once or twice is okay but once you realize you'll be doing that all the time it just loses its appeal. As I understand there are many gamebreaking bugs so I just decided to avoid the rest of the game. If you can ignore the rest the story is nice, the combat involving typing can still be nice to see how fast you can type, but otherwise you better just stick to the epistory.

Игрой заинтересовался так как играл в Epistory - Typing Chronicles.
Для тренировки слепого печатания эти игры отлично подходят.
Прогресс в боевой системе огромный. Чем больше арсенал, тем больше вариантов.
Бои местами такие же слишком затяжные, но стали намного интереснее. Жаль что не все полученные навыки можно использовать в бою на аренах.
Головоломки интересные.
Сюжет относительно интересный. Концовка немного смазанная. Завершённости не хватает. И я так и не понял, что именно делал главный злодей, от чего нам надо было его срочно остановить. Может пропустил что.

Если игра перегружает видеокарту, скорее всего, необходимо обновить драйвера.

Czasem dobrze jest wyjść ze swojej bańki aby trafić na takie perełki. Mega przyjemna i relaksująca gra, a zarazem wciągająca. Choć nie bez wad, bardzo dziwny system kierowania postacią "edsf", a jak się zmieni na "wsad" to po każdym restarcie przywraca domyślne, no i na początku trafiają się napisy w cyrylicy. Pomimo tych drobiazgów mi grało się wyjątkowo dobrze i przyjemnie.

感觉没没有前作惊艳，这次的画面非常不错，而且有很多创新，有目共睹，但是为什么掉帧这么严重，感觉优化还是有待加强，而且打字手感感觉一般般，没有前作那种爽快感，貌似还有延迟，是有很多创新，但我觉得有点舍近求远，本末倒置了，打字游戏本身强调的是打字的爽快和稳定，你这个虽然画质和可操控的技能变多了，但是我感觉游戏性反而变弱了，尤其是那个剧情，前作在潜移默化中告诉你一切，而且字写在地上，我想看不想看不看，这是玩家的选择权利，但是剧情最后的苏醒我觉得也挺好，这次的作品怎么搞成这么多对话了，我是在玩博德之门吗bro，我不想看不想读，但是为了推进游戏必须要读，次要的东西反而喧宾夺主了。
如果你没玩过前作，建议去玩前作不要玩这个，玩完前作再来看这个是不是有价值

The game honestly left much to be desired and felt a bit disappointing after previously playing it's predecessor, Epistory. The story wasn't anything particularly amazing or profound, which would've been okay if not for the MULTITUDE of bugs and glitches I ran into which often had me needing to either re-enter the main menu, or completely relaunch the game. Not to mention some mechanics just didn't seem to work for me at all, and every time I would re-open the game, all my settings and keybinds would be reset. The boss fights were also very repetitive.

I was excited for nanotale because I LOVED Epistory, but I can't in good conscience recommend the game. It was just very lackluster and disappointing, heartbreakingly so because I love the idea of the gameplay mechanic! I think it just needed a little more time in the oven to polish out those bugs and glitches.

There's a game in here, but too buggy and janky to be any fun.

Got walled in by game mechanics (sheep) once, had to respawn. (kind of telling there's a respawn option)
There was an info node with a small monster nearby, the only way to reveal it was to use a spell on a nearby monster. I killed that monster before noticing the node and - that's it- missed out on a bit of info xp. I tried kiting a monster from one zone - it got stuck/stopped. Tried from another - it followed me almost all the way and then just went invisible along an area line.
Constantly fought minimap as sometimes it showed me on the cloudy) edge, sometimes not at all, had to resort to map. You'd think game would center the player in a minimap, but nope.
The finishing blow for me was - game uses esdf(?) for movement and I changed it to WASD ASAP. Then again. And again. As it turns out the game is unable to save the keybindings. I saw this bug was reported, then closed as "fixed" in 2020. There's also a 2023 Steam discussion thread where a dev says "we'll look into it". It's 2025 now.

Wouldn't recommend at any price.

Buggy, opaque, confusing, cheesy. The only thing this game has going for it is a really interesting mechanic and spell modifier system. It definitely won't teach you how to type, but if you need to do drills on a new keyboard, it might keep you distracted while your fingers level up.

The visuals in [i]Nanotale - Typing Chronicles[/i] look great, so great that it fries my laptop—I was forced to play this on Steam Deck, which works well afterward except for a few times when I can hardly see what I should type to attack an enemy. I think part of what makes the game so resource-intensive lies in its overuse of effects, which can't be toggled off in the settings. They make the game look great, though.

The story isn't special. It can be confusing at first, with you meeting a spirit and suddenly being forced to travel the whole region without any reason. The story starts to make sense at the end—minus the traveling part, where it unfolds all mysteries since the first area. The ending was alright. It ties up all loose ends while still giving the conclusion to the story.

As I said before, you play [i]Nanotale - Typing Chronicles[/i] with a keyboard. You move with a keyboard, you interact with a plant with a keyboard, you attack with a keyboard—it's all done the same way. Most of the time, you'll have to type whatever is written above the target's head to trigger it. The game does this smoothly even when there are a lot of targets to type. You can cancel your current typing with a backspace button too, which helps when you accidentally press the wrong button.

You have a lot of spells you can try, some can be learned after you progress the game. The game makes it easy for you to collect everything. The map will give a marker whenever there is something that you can forage, and it's drawn in such detail that makes it hard to get lost.

It can take time to figure out what each spell can do, especially since they can be too vague to figure out. Take the first spell for example. You get a push and a pull spell to push and pull an object towards something, but you can only cast it to another object. Add it with the large and long modifier—it makes the spell more vague.

The confusion also contributes to the puzzles, making them harder than they should be. Sometimes, I would stuck for minutes just to figure out what to do because I still hadn't managed to master the spell yet. However, there are also other puzzles that are cleverly done and require more thinking to solve.

[b]Combat[/b]
Combat is alright. There are two types: one where you have to survive a wave of enemies, the other is where you just kill everything in your way. Story progression relies on the first one a lot. Enemies will come in droves and you need to prioritize which one to kill. Your spell also helps in this case, giving AoE damage to a bunch of enemies, especially when you use a modifier to make it larger.

Enemies have different attack patterns. Most of them are not harmful unless they get close, although there is one that will charge you quickly. You need to reposition yourself when they attack if you don't want to take damage. However, I found myself not moving most of the time, especially since I'd rather focus on killing the enemies.

Sadly, boss fights feel repetitive. They might have a different attack pattern, but none of them stand out. You need to follow the same pattern to beat the bosses with slight modifications. It's as if I'm fighting the same boss three times.

[b]Length and Difficulty[/b]
I finished the game at 7.5h. I then continued playing the arena to test it and spent the rest of my playtime to get the last achievement that I missed. The game is easy to beat, and there is also an accessibility option to make the enemy easier if you want.

[b]Issues[/b]
It's easy to get softlocked. The game makes it worse by introducing mechanics where you can walk on a platform that you can grow by using a spell. These kinds of platforms are usually uneven, making it easy to get stuck to.

Sometimes, it's hard to see the text above the enemy's head. I'm not sure whether it's because I'm playing in a Steam Deck and plugging it on an external monitor or not, though.

[i]Nanotale - Typing Chronicles[/i] is an enjoyable typing game. There isn't much to the story and combat, but I liked the worldbuilding and the gameplay in general. It feels like going on an adventure, checking out new floras in the region and seeing how it was used in the game. If you enjoy playing a typing game or want to improve your typing skills, I recommend playing this game, especially if you are the adventurous type.

Nanotale takes the basic framework of Epistory and expands upon it with a more complex magic system and a deeper fantasy story. Unfortunately it seems to want to bite off more than it can chew which leaves it feeling a lot more unfocused and confusing (and buggy) than Epistory was. Typing speed doesn't seem to matter as much anymore and it's not always clear what the different types of magic are supposed to even do or what their specific benefits in combat are.

It's still good and rather clever but I would advise going with Epistory first and come back to this one if you want more.

I played the predecessor Epistory and their latest game outshine and played this one in between. It is fun to stroll around the beautiful land and type your way through everything. The typing does improve over time. Its a great way to get used to the keys and 10finger typing. Plus it gives you those quests and lots of lore snippets it is fun to collect anything. And the speed of your walkthrough fully depends on your typing skills. Very recommended to at least try out!

Besides one small bug about not saving the controls I never had issues or got stuck or had game breaking bugs. Apparently the devs fixed a lot since the comments last year? I had a pleasant fox ride through Nanotale. and it really shines when it comes to the spell puzzles.

I can recommend it as a short typing game, and the graphics are nice, those 2 things and the fact that this is one of the only good typing *games* out there (thanks devs for writing typing games that don't feel like typing practice) I'm giving it a thumbs up.

The story though is worse than bad, it's trying to be new age healy-feely, throwing in some random other sudo-your-the-religious-saviour crap. The npc's are also less than useless and normally a waste of time, but if you don't interact with them all you might miss something.

I didn't get 'stuck' as much as others have said, maybe 2 or 3 times through the game. There were 2 sections in the level design I spent probably 2 hours on where I could see where I needed to go but it was so unintuitive on how to get up onto the ledge that I ended up having to watch a youtube video to figure them out, spent zero time learning to type while doing that.

The tab map is useless, more often than not it shows some random part of the map you're not even on, but by some point in the game having lived without it you're forced to memorise the entire map.

As with Epistory (which is an amazing and beautiful game, definitely play that game) if your WPM is less than about 20 WPM then both games are probably not for you yet, the games place stress on the player and you can end up learning bad typing by trying to focus on speed rather than accuracy. Wait for it to go on sale if you're going to get it, otherwise certainly play Epistory instead.

Lastly, if you're on a keyboard that is less than a 60% you might have to be a bit creative with your non-typing keys, I'm on a 5-column Corne (idk what that is, 30% / 35% ?) using Dvorak, and I had to remap a few of the keys. Which was only annoying because the game would reset all of the key bindings every time you start the game, but got used to it and it was only a 30 sec change each time.

To start off, the game was not a "bad" game by any means, it is just a buggy mess. The beginning half of the game was very pleasant, ran into no issues whatsoever. However, once I got to the second half of the game, I started encountering many game-breaking bugs to the point to where I had to download a developer provided save file several times throughout the game just to be able to continue. The puzzles can be downright confusing on what to do, and sometimes the game will just completely break to where you cannot do anything.

However, I will say the story of the game was very good and the pacing of the game worked well. If you can look past game-breaking bugs, it's worth a shot.

4/10 not a fan of this new combat system vs what we had in Epistory
+ story
+ gameplay
- herding sheep quest
- bugs abound
- got stuck three times and had to fully reload to get unstuck. well dismounting from fox get stuck in walls and rocks from time to time
opened the map well i entered a battle and it got stuck open until i reset the game. this is a bug that has been reported when the game came out and its still in the game
- TAB pullout MAP became way off. i left the bottom of it so if i needed a map i had to pause for the rest of my gameplay.
- only about 4.8 hours of gameplay. the rest is afk card farming
- playing a single fight that i was 17 minutes into and a thing ran me over for 40% of my health. dead and now i gotta start the battle over....

Jeu intéressant mais bien en deça d'Espistory. Le coté rpg fonctionne avec peine, avec pas mal de bug de collision, un suivit de quête hasardeux et une interface définitivement mal conceptualisée. Le lore fourmille de bonnes idées, mais la structure narrative reste trop basique pour être réellement percutante.

Le plus gros défaut du jeu demeure en sa map, qui fourmille de collectibles inutiles qui ralentissent l'expérience de jeu pour une carte surchargée d'informations.

Je salue toutefois l'aspect visuel qui est absolument impeccable, le gameplay reste bon, quoi que il y a une surabondance d'effet différents peu utiles et alourdissant exagérément les commandes. Dommage pour les combats de boss, avec de nouvelles mécaniques intéressantes certes mais de bien piètres indications exadiégétiques poru faire comprendre sans aucune subtilité au joueur la démarche à suivre

Cela reste un petit oui pour pour ma part, mais il ne s'agit absolument pas du jeu de l'année.

I've enjoyed this typing game. The words to type are challenging, but for a competent typer this wouldn't pose a huge challenge. I play a little bit a day just to keep my typing skills up. Fun, easy way to build and use your typing skills. Some of the levels are a little challenging to figure out what to do, but that maybe just me.

it was pretty good for a typing game, and i had fun playing it despite losing sight of where i was supposed to go a couple of times, but then my game locked partway through the final chapter, and i cant even start a new game because it gives me a purple screen instead of the start screen. reinstalling didnt fix it, restarting didnt fix it, deleting all the files didnt do anything. rip my attempt to 100% this game

I bought Nanotale after playing and thoroughly enjoying Epistory. At first I was really confused by the gameplay of this one, even though it's based on the same concept -- type words to attack enemies and activate spells. But the way the spells work is a little different, especially with the push and pull effects. It's not all fully explained in the game and trying to figure something out on my own was a bit frustrating. Especially in the desert area where you have to use push/pull to make the vines grow or shrink, and some of the creatures make vines when they die, but not always. It took me forever to realize that it was the SAND underneath the creature that would activate the vines. Same thing with the water-baring creatures -- sometimes the water would make a puddle and sometimes it just vanished. A little more explanation would have been helpful. There were several times in the game where I wanted to activate a spell but couldn't because there were no targets in the vicinity and you don't get the SELF spell till much later; some of that was puzzles and some was just frustrating. I am getting close to the end and I do enjoy the game overall, I would just recommend a few hints to people before they get started to make their journey through the land less annoying.

I really liked this game. I played the first one, really enjoyed it, and decided to give Nanotale a try. I'm really glad I did. Sure, there is a couple of bugs, but there is a 'respawn' option in the menu that you can use when you're stuck. It only happened to me 2 or 3 times, but I was able to respawn and not lose any progress. The battle mechanics are really interesting and were a big upgrade from the first game. It was the aspect of the game that I enjoyed the most. There is still a bugged quest named ''Light of day''. I hope they can fix it so I can earn all of the game achievements. Even so, I gladly recommend this game !

Wonderful interaction and gameplay. Great characters and character development. Storyline reveals itself with flourish. Villains and enemies are interesting and the fights are challenging. I never thought of typing as a weapon - I thought I was just improving my typing skills - nice to play a game that is interesting but still teaches you things. Fantasy element is beautifully expressed. <3
