人类与异能种族怪物少女共存在这个世界上，梅为了成为能够使役怪物少女的“主人”与好友艾尔萨以及卡莲一起在库那股瓦的学校就学。但是某日，艾尔萨被迷之人物变成了被诅咒的存在“LOST”。她开始使役怪物少女，夺取存在于世界各地的秘宝“魔结晶”。梅决心阻止艾尔萨，并在世界各地展开旅行。然而在旅行途中，她得知了足以动摇世界的大型计划……

游戏的玩法很简单，就是卡牌对战，即玩家将会与敌人在3×7的棋盘上面进行对战，而玩家和对手都会有9格来部署自己的卡牌，每回合双方的牌都会朝敌人移动，相遇时就会进行自动战斗。游戏中的每一张牌都有着自己的种族、才能、技能等等，且当玩家连续召唤相同颜色的卡牌时会获得特殊奖励。有趣的是游戏中种族相同的两张卡牌能够进行融合，融合之后，他们的能力会相加起来。
游戏的另一大特色就是爆衣系统，不过爆衣并不是血量降低到一定限度，而是升级卡牌。除此之外，游戏的缺点也很明显，无中文，难度较高、上手不容易，有内购等等。

《Monster Monpiece》是COMPILE HEART与IDEA FACTORY开发的一款回合制美少女卡牌游戏，游戏不支持中文，但不看剧情完全不影响游戏体验，玩家只需要能看懂一点卡牌游戏相关的英文/日文就能享受这款游戏。游戏中所有登场角色与卡牌的立绘都是美少女，主要角色有全程CV配音，卡牌立绘有爆衣，不过没有R18内容只有R16内容。
这款游戏的玩法非常有意思，所有卡牌都是用来召唤随从的，玩家与对手使用一张3 * 7的网格棋盘进行对决，左右两边3 * 3的区域是玩家/对手召唤随从的区域，出场的随从每回合会朝着对手的城堡移动1格，两个敌对的随从相遇后会进行战斗，随从抵达城堡面前就会攻击城堡，攻击城堡的随从会消失。玩家与对手都有“HQ Durability”值，相当于血量值，每次随从攻击城堡就会扣除1点血量值，血量归零或无卡可抽的一方会输掉游戏。每个随从都拥有自己的攻击、血量、法力值消耗、颜色、武器、种族与技能，随从能对敌方随从造成攻击力的伤害，随从的血量归零就会消失，连续打出颜色相同的随从就能获得buff，打出种族相同的随从就可以让2个随从融合，融合可以叠加属性值和技能。
游戏中的随从武器分为剑、弓、杖和书，使用剑的随从一般都是攻高血厚的随从，适合放在前排；使用弓的随从可以远程攻击，但一般攻击比较低，通过融合可以提高攻击力；使用杖的随从可以治疗其它随从，但一般自身攻击血量都很低；使用书的随从可以提升其它随从的攻击力，但一般自身攻击血量都很低的。玩家可以通过购买卡包、地图随机事件、赢得战斗胜利等方式获得卡牌，在战斗前可以使用自己的卡牌组建自己的卡组，一般来说卡组里既要有厉害的高攻随从，也要有提供治疗/buff的随从，同时还要兼顾卡组里随从的颜色、种族搭配，十分考验玩家的组牌功底。
在战斗中，随从的血量低至一定值不会让随从爆衣，这款游戏通过“升级卡牌”的方式。玩家战斗胜利后除了获得金币之外，还可以获得“Rub P”点数，消耗Rub P就可以给卡牌进行升级，一般来说每张卡都能升级2次（有极少数例外），每次升级都能让卡牌上的美少女少几件衣服，但最少也会保留内衣，没有全果的R18内容。除了爆衣，升级卡牌还会影响一张卡的各项属性，但并不是每项改动都是正面效果。比方说有的卡牌升级后攻击、防御和法力值消耗都会提升，升级前3法力值消耗可以在第1回合就使用（一般第1回合只有3点法力值），升级后虽然攻防更高了，但法力值消耗涨到了4或5，第1回合就用不出这张卡了。因此一张卡并不是等级越高就越强，玩家需要合理地抉择自己卡组里哪些卡需要升级。

本作属于移植作品，在电脑端并不能多人对战，全程单机内容相较枯燥。并且游戏中还有大量卡牌内购内容，性价比较低。游戏剧情内容简短，比较平淡无趣，不过本作并非侧重剧情的作品，不过多讨论。游戏中的卡牌战斗玩法，融合了部分战棋元素，敌我双方将会在21格的棋盘上对战，双方各有九格部署位置，自行规划不同功能的卡牌角色在不同位置落地，充分发挥战斗卡牌和功能性卡牌的效果。每回合可以放置一张卡牌，随后便会自动战斗，整体难度较高，AI前期操作丝滑，需要一定的策略性。游戏在2d美术上还不错，不少卡牌设计二次元形象精美，立绘绘制精致。不过3d模型质量一般，毕竟是老游戏，模型可以说是非常复古。不少玩家关注本作是因为本作拥有爆衣系统，确实有不少差别内容，不过倒也一般。而且本作并没有官方中文，繁体中文也没有，中文母语者玩起来有一定的压力。

A surprisingly fun deck building auto battler hybrid where the aim is to destroy the opponent's HQ while defending your own. The game is played on a grid of 3 lanes, where cards that are placed on the grid became units that move forward towards the enemy HQ. When the two units from opposing sides face off, they fight, dealing damages to their HP, until one falls and continues to move forward. A simple mechanic that can be strategic and engaging.
Players obtain new cards by purchasing in game card packs from shops and from drops. They can also strengthen their own card by engaging with the rubbing minigame where the clothe of the monster girl card would disappear and new stats are granted to them. Strengthening cards does not always result in better cards, as although their attacks generally increases and they get new skills, their HP would also decrease as well as the MP costs needed to field them would also increase. Therefore, there is a strategic element in whether you want to rub your monster cards in the fanservice minigame or save them as they are.
Though the story is mediocre, the arts on some of the monster cards are very nice. And the gameplay is surprisingly fun. But the enemy CPU cheats. Which is a problem in the late game where defeating a whole series of them become a slog. There is also the limitation on the number of unique cards available, as later on in the game, instead of introducing new monster girls, the game just shove a +1 or +2 onto the cards, increase some stats or two, say that they are new and have the player use them again.
But overall, a fun if limited budget card game experience. Can be grindy. But its good fun.

断断续续玩了两三年吧，记不清了
剧情就是简单的创世神要灭世然后主角阻止
卡牌分成3色，战斗时连续2次出同色会+1mana，连续3次会所有单位全属性+1
抚摸摩擦有个经验之谈的技巧，因为每个魔物娘的敏感点不一样，但是一般先找1个敏感点怼个1秒左右，背景变化再大浮动划到其它点，很可能直接潮飞，大部分都不需要一个一个查看敏感点
卡组构成最好全用单色、单兵种，这样很容易触发奖励+全属性1、而且可以快速合成强大单兵（同兵种可以直接贴贴战斗力相加）。最好带有爱心（每回合回1血）和反击的卡，反击技能能省下很多互怼的回合，难以阻挡。
普通打法就是开局空过，等对面到倒数第2排再出兵，这样可以很容易消灭对方的布置兵力而且易以等出3张合适的同色兵种
另外如果你保存出错，尝试在第一张大地图上按start键进行保存（有点麻烦，而且游戏到后期基本同质化战斗）
整体游戏还行吧

Monster Monpiece hace algo único: combina la estrategia de juegos RPG de cartas con un toque... bastante peculiar. No todos los días ves un juego que te pide \frotar\ tu Vita para potenciar tus cartas. O sea, ¿qué? Además de los momentos manoseo, tiene un sistema de cartas bastante sólido y estratégico. Hay variedades de cartas monstruo que realmente pueden cambiarte el juego.
¿Y qué me dices de las ilustraciones? Cualquier fans de lo moe se sentirá en el cielo con todas estas imágenes. Además, viajar por un mundo bien ilustrado en busca de más poder y, ejem, \afecto\, no está nada mal.

Bueno, vamos a lo obvio: el mundo no está listo para juegos que hacen que parezcas que estás haciendo cosas indebidas en público (o en privado). Aunque está pensado para ser lúdico y un poco picante, ciertamente puede ser uncomfortable explicar qué demonios estás haciendo si alguien te mira jugando.
La historia también podría usar una pizca más de desarrollo. A veces se siente un poco como una excusa para el siguiente \event de caricias\, y podríamos usar un poco más de mundo y un poco menos de... bueno, lo otro.

[h2]¿Comprar o no comprar?[/h2]
Si lo tuyo son los juegos de cartas estratégicos con un lado de picardía, y puedes conseguirlo con descuento, [b]cómpralo con descuento[/b]. Pero si frotar cosas en la pantalla no es lo tuyo, tal vez sea mejor pasar. Y si alguien te mira jugando, asegúrate de tener una buena excusa.

玩了5天，游戏时长31.7小时全成就，写个评测留念~
游戏不需要打补丁，画面只有擦边球。在给卡牌(爆衣)进化的过程中会有点简短的配音。
剧情完全跳过了没看，虽然全程是有配音的。设定上有非常强烈的neta宝可梦的感觉。几位npc都是对应地图的boss，交手一次之后就再也没啥交集，连个特殊一点的卡也不给，一点存在感都没有……明明长得都还挺有特点的。
地图上大多数事件都是战斗，重复度略高，不过也没有必要把每张地图都打得很完美。地图上的奖励卡牌通关之后都能在1G的卡包里开出来。通关之后也可以随时回到前面的所有地图里慢慢刷。
游戏玩法上卡牌有三种分类，颜色、职业和种族。组牌的时候优先考虑颜色。
通关前能拿到的卡牌大概占不到全卡表的三分之一，而且四大爆费强卡通关前只能拿到蓝色的猫又+1（其他三种是红色Fairy+2，红色毒蟾蜍+2，黄色史莱姆+2）。而且电脑几乎每套牌都带这几种爆费强卡，每次开局阶段都会被压制，所以通关前还是会有一些和电脑斗智斗勇的感觉。思路是尽量多用低费近战卡牌铺场（游戏机制每连续出第三张同色卡牌，全场友方角色+1/+1，因此是非常鼓励铺场的）。另外回合内攻击对手的角色，除非对方有反击技能，否则打过去不会被还手（攻击结算之后才会反击，所以如果直接打成0血了也不会被反击了）。所以在自己的回合内尽量多打掉电脑的卡牌，经过几轮交换以后肯定就能占到优势了，然后反推回去就差不多了。
通关之后商店里会卖1G的卡包，常用打牌卡的0，+1，+2形态基本都能开出来。把这些卡包里的卡牌开齐了，图鉴差不多已经超过400了（同一个角色的0，+1，+2形态都有各自的图鉴编号，三个突破阶段也都各有编号，3乘3就占了9个编号了），多挑一些顺眼的卡牌突破突破就能做完成就了。（揉300次的成就可以一次性多揉一些便宜的卡牌刷次数）
剩下的一些稀有卡在通关后的2000金币卡包以及打完老师之后的三种2500金币卡包里。（比如说天使、天马、凤凰、巴哈姆特等等……）但是出率非常低，想开出来要刷很多很多金币了。内购包里也会有这些稀有卡，以及只有内购包才能开出来这些卡的+1和+2形态。不过都不是必须。不会影响做成就。没有也不会影响打牌体验。没有pvp，就算付费买了卡牌也不会有别人看到……你问打电脑有没有用？通关之后本来也没剩几关了。组一套纯红龙，1G包就能开齐，打电脑直接平推，连动脑子都省了，什么稀有+1+2那都是花里胡哨！

The game was all right. I tried it since I recognized Compile Heart. Buy it only on sale and if you are o.k. with lewd content, otherwise you will regret it. The card game is fun but wears out quick.
The novelty of the game leads to my recommendation (barely) and to be honest, I’ve played worse. I was having genuine fun with the card battles, but some extra diversity could have went a long way.
Not to mention I see a few not recommends talking about the very optional micro transaction shop, as I mention later, I was set real early in the game, I barely touched my in game money, why would I worry about a micro transaction shop? Just leave it there as an OPTION people!
I hate to say it, but the game does kind of get boring. I have used the same deck, more or less, since I think chapter 2 or 3, changing out some cards for +1 cards if I get them. The opponents deck slowly changes and some cards never do. Which brings up another problem, the opponent gets better cards than you and really early compared to the player, if the player can even get all of them since there used to be a multiplayer and packs with that. They also LOVE the ones that give them free mana, letting them bring out heavy hitters really early.
A fun little CCG on Steam. Smexy anime girls a plus.

This is a good game, not a great game, hampered by a mixed port. The game was originally released on the PS Vita and used a touchscreen, which you don’t have on the Steam version. The makes the Rub system, which is already very stupid, just annoying and very repetitive.
Speaking of repetitive, the fights tend to be too similar. I think the Devs expected players to have ramp creatures in their decks to pump out massive monsters; however, it was simply more effective to have most of your deck 3-mana creatures with most of the rest no more than 4. This meant you mostly complete your deck about a third of the way through the game and opening packs and improving your monsters was a waste of time and resources. Unless you were going for 100% completion, in which case you needed to get as many different monsters and level each of them to the third level.
On the other hand, it only costs about $10 and even getting halfway through the game will take long enough to be worth that price.

Art is fantastic, not too much talking between fights, lots of different musics (changes in each city), funny mechanic to upgrade cards, interesting card game; i like how so matter how strong a unit is it will only do 1 damage to you and it will disappear; so you can let a unit hit you strategically.

I think the upgrade system was poorly explained so I lost a lot of points early on failing to upgrade cards, and some cards upgrade are worse which is frustrating as they don`t tell you beforehand.
Overall it was a great purchase and I recommend it for card games enthousiasts who enjoy enjoy anime style art & fanservice. Can`t believe its just 5$ on sale.

I'm a big TCG/CCG fan but I'll have to rate this game as barely neutral and you'll see why.
So the story is nothing special. I managed to clear more than half of the areas so I came near to the end I believe however I can't bother to go onward.Gamepaly becomes so tedius, boring and repetitive. The game deicdes at one point to ramp difficulty up and it gets harder and way more grindy from that point onward.

Card art is weird as it varies a lot. In some cases it's good while in other it looks like it was made in MS Paint. You have a lot of cards available and you can "evolve" them twice which is nice variety. You evolve them by rubbing the monster girls (card art) on their sensitive soft spots. No doubt any man of culture will know where these are located. Now imagine you buy 10 packs (in each are three cards) and you have to rub all of those three times to evolve them into final form. Yeah no, thanks.Seeing how this was made for Vita it makes sense but this becomes a nightmare on a pc. There are so many different monster girls yet the 3d models which you summon them are the same no matter the form. If you have around 400+ cards you have perhaps 15-20 3D models or so when the card is summoned on a field. The battle is decided by a coin toss and there is zero advantage for the player who goes second. No bonus card draw, no bonus mana, no bonus monster summoning..nothing!

Overall Review: DEATH BY SINGLEPLAYER MICRO-TRANSACTIONS... Absolutely not.
The story is pretty bland and uninteresting, though that's somewhat to be expected. The gameplay, however, is actually decently fun, and the only reason I could--or would--even recommend the game.
There's a "touching/rubbing" mini-game that you have to do in order to upgrade your cards, but it's just more of a mild annoyance unless you're really into that. It gets old really quickly otherwise. I would even suggest you don't use it until you have to, actually, as the AI can be really funky, so purposely leaving your cards un-upgraded and pushing on until you can't anymore is a much more fun challenge.
All in all, the gameplay is solid enough that I feel like I can recommend it, especially with the game just being $10. (or if you're really into rubbing various girls, as there's quite a lot of that too)

- First move advantage: No balance for the second player at all. The one who goes first is decided by a coin flip.
- Upgrading cards: To do that, you need to clear a mini game where you touch a girl's body in a certain way. It is tedious. And you even cannot be certain, that the resulting card is better than before.
It's okay for the price.

TLDR: I said this game wasn't worth anyone's time but I actually don't think so anymore.
The gameplay itself is pretty fun and I would even say there is some depth to it, its just not a game for everyone. It would be cool to see this kind of gameplay fully fleshed out like how Nepu Nepu Chaos Chanpuru did but I don't think we're seeing that game come back anytime soon.
An easy card collector game. If you have any issues you can just cheat using cheat engine because this game doesn't rely on the central server and you can just give you infinite mana and resources.

Lol well this game is basically entirely held together by the naughty bits; and in that regard it does exactly what you expect. The card game itself however suffers from the same problems as Gwent in that it is too dependant on board stacking, and repetition does become a problem as the game doesn't offer any unique puzzles/challenges like in Thronebreaker. There is also a story but the writing is just gibberish, which is a shame as I really would have preferred it if the developers went full cheese mode like Huniepop or Yu gi oh Abridged.
All in all, its a naughty game, we all know why we are here in the first place, and yeah its fun to play.

Monster Monpiece, or as I've come to call it, maybe another month'll do it because this game can't be played all at once without losing your sanity. That's a bit of a mouthful though, so we'll shorten it to "unless you really like card games and monster girls, you can skip this one."
Alright, that wasn't much better, but my point is this game drags on for way too long for how little depth there is to it. After the first few battles you have basically mastered the game, from there the only thing that changes is getting new cards that do new things that the old cards might not have done, or they do better, or etc etc card game mechanics until you realize two things. Nothing matters but the main stat which is used to summon a card, and that skipping the first few turns has 0 downside and lets you stack your hand to summon whatever you want anyway. Unfortunate first hand draw, didn't get a 3 mana monster, doesn't really matter cause next turn you can draw one of those 4, 5, 6 cards anyway. To help you understand, this would be like Yugi summoning Dark Magician on his second turn, it's really dumb, and it's how the game is actually played. The second thing you learn that makes almost any other card in the game irrelevant, is that some cards get a + mana bonus, in particular, they tend to give mana when you summon them, and when they are destroyed. Whenever you first get access to a card with this (Nekomata), the game completely changes because you skip your first turn, summon nekomata, she casts her ability to give 3 mana, instantly dies to whatever monster you put her in front of, on your 3rd turn now you have basically 3x as much mana as you would have in any other battle up until this point. From there you stack your deck with Nekomatas, and congrats you have beaten the game. Also don't bother with healers or buffers, they are just dead weight in comparison to putting another combat ready card on the map that can stand on it's own, seriously, you might think that's just a min-max kind of statement, but no really, it just works out like that with how the game is built.
Anyway, because the most obvious strategy in the game that works every single time is something you learn about halfway through the game, things start to really drag on, really fast. Now I'm not saying the game had to be a blitz of battles, but with every map having several battles, and then the story going through the same areas on a backtrack spree, then a post game map that had roughly 2x as many fights if not more, and the ABYSMAL card opening process and horrific rub minigame to levelup or customize your cards, there is just way too much bloat for the average person to enjoy this game. For a completionist like me, it is like I said in the start of the review, I of all people had to take breaks spanning several months just to come back, clear a map or two, then leave the rest for next time.
A lot of times I can forgive these kind of drag on adventures for some kind of silver lining, like a fun post game, or a great story, but I'm gonna be honest chief, this aint it. Post game was just more insane card collecting, rubbing, and cheesing of the same strategies until it was over. The story from start to finish has little to no twist, it's as you see it, with some very repetitive encounters between the characters. I consider myself a very easy critic, with characters and an enjoyable story being able to save a game for me and recommend pushing through, but this one just doesn't do it. It is a very forgettable save the world story with an even more forgettable cast and plethoras of repeat content that makes it just feel like a trudge. If you skipped all optional routes and just went straight for the story you'd probably shave off about 20 hours, but even then it's just, a lot for too little in return.
That's really about all I have to say about this game, if you like card games and deck building, maybe you'll enjoy it a lot more than I did, as I am admittedly not a big fan of card games. But even then, I think there are some big flaws with this game from progression to design to ultimately personal preferences. It's just an unavoidable fact even for someone as lenient as I am with games, not all games can be winners for every player out there. I generally love the games made by this studio, but this one just missed the mark.
All and all, I give it 5 magus quartz crystals out of 10 runalong side characters whose names I couldn't even remember long enough to forget about. There's some funnies, there's some uglies, a lot of uglies, but hey at least it has a lot of monster girls, right? Eh.. well that's how the cookie crumbles on this review, until the next time I sit down and ramble about a game 3 players have even heard about let alone read a review for.

To start off, this game is very lewd, if the whole rubbing mechanic didn't set it off for you ;) The story is a interesting one with monster girls, though the lack of men in this world often left me wondering exactly how procreation even works in this world. Especially considering that one of them does mention that she has a father who is often a very important diplomat, but we NEVER see any men in this.
I guess the creators are so straight and hetro that they don't even want to draw the male form? Regardless, this game was a lot of fun.

Build a deck and defeat foes in turn based, strategic combat! You must build a deck of at least thirty cards; each card represents a playing piece, which interacts on a three-by-seven playing board. Each turn, cards will move one space forward. If an opponent’s card blocks movement, they will fight. There are four “classes” of cards; melee cards are able to hold the line with high damage and hit-points; ranged cards can control the board with wide-reaching attacks; healers keep your cards alive; and buffers amplify damage. Each card can be changed via “rubbing”, which causes their stats to change (and does away with their pesky clothes!) The key to winning is to build a deck with strong synergy, and a winning game plan!

Once upon a time, mankind was punished for becoming “arrogantly, unruly, and violent.” Clairdia, Goddess of Creation unleashed monsters upon the world. Mankind was nearly wiped out; her monsters became no different than those they were meant to punish. So Clairdia then forced them into human bodies, forcing them to align with mankind to survive. Ultimately, man and monsters made peace throughout the world. However, there is somebody that wants to undo world peace. They want the world to reenter that state of chaos, to revel in the bloodshed as creation is undone. It’s up to May, a young student and her friends to save the world. As her quest unfolds, she will find that the world, and it’s inhabitants are not as they seem. The characters are shallow and the plot-twists are poorly telegraphed; but as long as you don’t think too hard, you’ll be alright!

The main-menu and titlescreen look alright. They’re thematically appropriate, just [i]boring.[/i] From “Config”, you may adjust audio, control, and display preferences. [b]Monster Monpiece[/b] was designed to be played using a controller, but it’s keyboard and mouse compatible. However, the game will often refer to controller buttons (leaving you to guess how they translate to PC). This game isn’t visually interesting — as a matter of fact, I consider “visuals” to be one of the weakest points of this game. Barring the wonderful artwork, [b]Monster Monpiece[/b] looks like an old mobile game!
[b]- The Goods -[/b]
Don’t get your hopes up; there is no nudity or sexual content in this game. It’s a real shame, because [b]Monster Monpiece[/b] definitely [b]looks[/b] like the kind of game that’d have [i]fapstuffs[/i] (but it doesn’t.[b] Boo.[/b]) There are one-hundred-fifteen cards in the game, each featuring a monster girl; as they are powered-up (or “rubbed”), their clothes disappear. There are two variants for each card, depicting stages of undress — again, there is [b]no[/b] full nudity. As all of the card-art is rendered portrait-style, none of it can be borderless fullscreened. There are a handful of story-based, full-art CGs, but only one of them offers anything remotely lewd. In this scene, the main protagonist lies face-down (and [b]naked![/b]) as her friends massage her back.
[h1]Verdict[/h1]
I totally recommend this game! [b]Monster Monpiece[/b] is lot’s of fun! I wish it was lewder ([b]a lot lewder[/b]), but I can live with scantily clad monster girls. My biggest complaint for [b]Monster Monpiece[/b] would be the opponents; they are so, so [b]stupid.[/b] I won countless games because of poor judgement on my opponents’ end. They don’t play cards to their strengths, and they often make nonsensical moves. The opponents are highly predictable, making them all-to-easy to exploit. Without giving into the “Online Store” (or microtransactions), [b]Monster Monpiece[/b] can be super-grindy; however, you don’t need to spend a dime to steamroll the game. With good plays, you too can beat the game with an “G” grade deck — that’s one letter better than “F”!

If you're a fan of anime girls and card games, you'll probably like Monster Monpiece. If you want a deeper analysis of the good and bad of the game keep reading. This will be solely a review of the gameplay mechanics, as I skipped through most of the story (I apologize to those who may find that wasteful).
I love the card battle mechanics in this game enough to recommend it, it starts off very simple but once you reach a certain point in the game the strange mechanics really start to shine.
The game has an interesting balance with the 4 different types of monsters, melee, ranged, healers, and support. From what I've played it's possible to make decks with any combination of two or more types, which drastically changes the playstyle and goal of your battle. In addition to types, there is also species, and color, which plays a role in deckbuilding and battles, both of which seem more to limit the player's actions as opposed to changing your strategy. As you progress the game however, your deck tends to become more uniform in species and color for more consistency. These mechanics create a fun and engaging system that is hampered by some of the following issues.
I enjoy the game enough in single player to recommend it, however I do take issue with some of the mechanics. I don't like how the rub system creates 3 variants of each card meaning you'll have to collect 9 card of each monster, in addition there are +1 and +2 variants meaning you'll have to collect 27 of each monster total for a full collection. I don't like the +1 mechanic either as it feels like a lazy way to power creep the player's deck up to that point. The rub mechanic even if you like it gets very tedious after awhile, but is to a certain extent necessary to create 2/3rds of the available monster library meaning you'll be rubbing a lot, however the game is kind enough to allow you to rub up to 3 of the same cards at once which will definitely save a lot of time. The UI was definitely themed for the Vita, lots of navigation like organizing your deck seems stiff with un-intuitive keyboard and mouse controls. A final minor complaint, there should have been a way to open multiple packs of cards faster.
A non battle related complaint about the game, is the map. The map is usually quite linear, with a few bonus paths for extra cards or money. The map could have had more branching paths with more varied enemy decks, towns with unique items, and even hubs where you could battle random enemies as opposed to an extremely linear system with battle replays at your HQ. With the current state of the world map, it could have easily been navigated from the HQ.
The biggest dealbreaker is the removal of multiplayer, however despite removing the network mechanic, the real cash shop in game is still available. Honestly nothing in the shop is worth the money, it can be safely ignored.
I would really really want to see this gameplay in another game, or even a physical card game one day as it's a shame that it is limited to this and a failed mobile game, especially because the lewd content may be a turn off to many players.
I personally believe that the game would have sold even poorer were it not for the fanservice, and oddly outside of the gameplay, the story has relatively little fanservice. I do believe that without the micro-transactions and lewd content the game could have attracted a bigger audience with its interesting fast paced card battle gameplay, maybe if it had been released on more consoles to begin with.
Despite all my complaints and nitpicks, this is a game that's worth trying, especially for the often low going price these days. Hopefully one day there'll be a direct sequel that addresses many of my complaints. However I will continue to enjoy the game, and hopefully add more to this already long review.
Neat idea and the shameless execution of it is a positive. The characters are the usual anime tropes with expert voice acting and borderline gay that an all female cast brings. The story is a standard JRPG affair where friendship prevails and an evil god is vanquished. Regrettably, the game portion fails miserably and getting through the game is a grind of boredom. I played with a basic deck I first threw together and barely improved with new cards and still wasn't at risk of losing a single match. Also the game was originally on handheld and it shows as a very clunky handling on the UI. Deck editing is particularly frustrating.
Don't bother with this one. You get more out of it by looking up a gallery of the card art. That's the short of it. Some more detail why the game fails below.
If this is your first card game, then maybe there's a learning curve and a sense of triumph when you figure out a winning strategy. But if you're familiar with basic card game concepts beforehand, you're an undisputed god of this world of card battles.
A match is played on a 3-lane arena with 7 space on each lane. You can deploy your units on a 3 x 3 area on your end of the lanes and your opponent on their's with a single space of neutral ground in the middle. Playing your cards costs mana and you gain 3 per turn. You can deploy one unit per turn or you can pass and save your mana. Most units stand still for the turn they're summoned and then walk one space per turn towards the opponent's side of the board. If an unit reaches the end it deals 1 point of damage to the opponent's fort and disappears regardless of the stats of the card. If an unit walks into a space next to an enemy unit, they attack it according to the card's attack value. If the opponent's card has hp left, they won't move on their turn, they attack back instead. This continues until one unit dies and the victor starts moving forward from next turn onward. If an unit is summoned directly in front of an opposing unit, they attack immediately even if they couldn't move on their first turn normally.
Now if that basic description has already given you an idea of a possible good strategy, congratulations you've won the game. Manipulating your units so that they move so that they get to attack the enemy first sounds like the basic first step to formulating your strategy, but unfortunately it is the ultimate win button that the AI is completely unable to deal with.
The AI will play a card every turn if their mana allows. They'll mindlessly put down healers and low hp ranged units, which start their march to their inevitable doom. Meanwhile you keep passing the first turns collecting mana and cards to your hand. When the enemy units reach your side of the board, you can perfectly answer every threat, getting the first hit every time. Then your units start their advance while you deploy more and the manaless opponent is powerless to stop you with the one unit per turn limit.
Couple of chapters in, the AI starts to cheat in an attempt to be a threat to the player. This is done by Fairy +2 card which is a 1 mana card that gives you 3 mana when played and 3 or 5 mana when it dies. This allows the AI to get mana for more expensive cards and far prolongs their ability to keep playing regardless of their braindead mana waste. You can't get this card until post game but every opponent has 6 of these in their deck. At first this seems unfair but really it's hilarious how much a non threat the AI manages to be with practically infinite mana.
The card rubbing minigame to upgrade them is probably the selling point of this game, but it quickly runs out it's welcome. The fact that you blindly need to "upgrade" your cards only to find them worse vast majority of the time, doesn't help matters. This is because upgrading mostly raises the mana cost and decreases the stats in favor of some new skill. The only useful skill in the game is the Fairy +2 mana gain one. The rest are just additional mana cost to the card for an effect so specific that it never gets any use or just so minimal in effect, it's not worth 1 mana much less the 4 - 8 they can be. The rub is that you cannot opt out of using a skill. You can play the card even if you can't afford the skill, but if you do it is triggered automatically, wasting your saved up mana.
The punchline of this rant ties back to the AI's mana cheating. As the game goes on the opponents of course get "better" cards into their deck. This means that after their fairies ramp their mana up, they spend it by playing over-costed under-statted minions that spend copious amount of mana on skills that don't even have a target. Meanwhile you sit back and wait the value trades to flow in.
There's a chance that you can choose modifiers to the match in order to increase the rewards. I automatically chose the hardest option every time and it never played any factor in the outcome because of the reasons detailed above. Funnily enough one challenge disables your skills which just buffs you(You can't realistically avoid cards with skills altogether. Usually you'll try to play them so that you can't afford the skill).
There's a fight in the middle of the game that you're supposed to lose. The opponent has unlimited resources, 9 hp on their fort and biggest cards the game has to offer. I lost only because the 40 card deck was enough to deal 7 damage on my first try. This is the best example I can think of the utter lack of challenge in this game.

Monster Monpiece is a fun casual card battle game to play when you've nothing else to do. It is generally pretty easy when playing offline, and the online doesn't exist so i guess its just pretty easy. The gameplay is incredibly addicting, like you'll find yourself wasting hour after hour of your precious time just playing this stupid game and it is so fun that you don't even get mad about it. The battle system is pretty well thought out, even though the AI often just sucks and plays really terribly the op cards they place down often make up for the lack of strategy these guys have. Really sucks that the online doesn't exist on pc anymore but hey what can you do. In any case, buy this game if you've nothing else to spend that 10 bucks on and fyi don't buy this for the hentai aspect because you'll be sorely disappointed just get Hunie Pop instead if that's what you're looking for.
How could I recommend a single player game with a cash shop
I'm sure there is a fun game in here somewhere but I can't get past the cruddy controls and the battle system was not my idea of a good time.

It has got a vast variety of monsters girls, which you can collect, make them fight your opponents and interact a little. Don't pay for the boosters, if you aren't good with money. Those are microtransactions.
I consider 5 bucks (bought on a steam sale) for a nice 12+ hours well-spent and would recommend this game anyone to have a few comfy and relaxing hours collecting picture cards.
Umfangreiches und interessantes Cardgame
Monster girls are cute. For those who bought the DLC, don't forget to find the Digital Art Gallery in steam folder.
Major characters have distinct personalities. However the story is kind of illogical. Music is good, at least to me.
Battle is simple, but might be too simple for a card game.
All steam achievements require no in-game purchased content. Some cards can only be obtained from in-game purchased card packs, and two cards (273-275 Thor and 315 Fear) are not even released in Windows version.
It's fun, but the battles can get a bit tiresome late in the game
This game is great if you need something to mindlessly grind to and have played multiple Compile Heart titles (read: are a pedophile).
Tedious and mindless gameplay (3 lane defense); terrible story; rubbing mechanic is a good gag on touch systems, a juvenile mess on everything else; great VAs and ecchi images of girls (guys are mythical beings that are spoken of, but never seen).
Due to multiplayer being removed the endgame seems to be either starting the game over or mindlessly opening opening packs hoping for a 1% rare that you have no purpose for (no endless survival, challenge or skirmish modes - it is just finish the map grids then you're just there...).
I think this game worths that price.
But this game is actually really BORING in both scenario and game system. I even fell asleep several times when playing this game.
Well, I played a little bit longer just because I had a lots of time to waste and I'm kinda compulsive fulfilling achievements regardless of its boringness.

Amazing card game. The game is pretty easy until you fight the first big bad. My only complaint is that there aren't a lot of effect monsters to make alternative strats (i.e. "make a giant beat-stick via fusion or dlc cards").
As for the dlc packs.....YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY CARD PACKS. The dlc card packs contain super broken monsters which make the game way too easy. If you've played a neptunia game, these packs are akin to the dlc armor and weapons in those games.

Удручающий геймплей, унылый сюжет и пара милых артов — это то, чем мне запомнилась данная игра.
Бои однотипны и за время прохождения компании успевают невероятно надоесть.
Прокачка карт с натиранием их мышкой возможно выглядели забавно на PlayStation Vita из-за сенсорного экрана, но в данном порте все сводиться к зажатию кнопок мыши и ожиданию заполнения шкалы с необходимостью иногда перемешать мышь.
Трудно говорить о сюжете данной игры, не пересказывая его полностью, поэтому о нем скажу лишь то, что он шаблонный настолько насколько это вообще возможно. Шаблонность сюжета явно пытались прикрыть милыми персонажами, но они пусты и поэтому к ним попросту не испытываешь никаких эмоций.

Monster Monpiece is a game in which the many hours I spent on show the fact that I liked it. And yet, at the same time, I don't.
The design is very cool - it's the reason why I got hooked at first. Surprisingly enough, despite the obvious intent to make a game full of fanservice, the card game is pretty decent. I found myself enjoying boss fights. The story in itself has its twists, though it remains basic in its structure (random adolescent goes on a quest to retrieve whatever items to save the world). The music is nice, and fits well the situations - except at the end [spoiler]the map theme being the same while everyone turns Lost was a major turnoff from the situation[/spoiler]. But.
That's pretty much it.
The game's unique strengthening mode is funny at first, but gets cringey after a while, especially because of the voice actresses' lines - they can do a whole 180° in both extremes. Card fights also get boring after a while: they aren't much of a challenge around the end, it's just about repeating the same strategy over and over. This gets even more boring when fights trigger every two steps.
Add to that the fact that devs had the balls (I found myself in awe after a while) to add an online shop with ACTUAL MONEY in a game to play alone, well...
TL;DR: Monster Monpiece is good, just stick to the story if you don't want to get bored or disappointed. Don't let the bad points take over the rest. It's not a bad game at all, really.

I encountered a pretty annoying bug early on: in battle the numbers on all of the cards are blank. I looked in the forums and found that this bug was reported on launch day - three years ago - and never fixed.
Cute and fun.
And don't you believe the top review. It's just wrong. There's an online shop, yes. But you can get every single card in the game without spending a dime by purchasing it with in-game currency. Totally worth the price.

I don't generally thumbs down a game, the only instance where ill do it is if the game is less then a 5/10, in my eyes, Monster Monpiece is that game.
The story is your traditional moe, in layman's terms its all about girls (more specifically "cute" girls) and men are only very rarely mentioned (example "My brother" or "My father" are only used a handful of times). Moe stuff generally isn't my thing but I wanted to try this Anime style card game anyways.
My main problem I have with Monpiece is its about 10hrs too long, this is another early Compile Heart/Idea Factory game and it suffers from the typical problems all their other early games had (Agarest War 1-3/Spectral Souls etc...) in that pacing is horrible, difficulty spikes are silly and the late game becomes a slog.
The card battles themselves devolve to just having pure attackers of 2 colors in your deck with a majority of them being 2-3 cost to summon and a few higher powered cards, the AI is of course given an unfair advantage the whole way (lots of mana boosts) which is fine, the thing that annoyed me the most was late game the AI can debuff you (take away mana) at pivotal times and stretch the battle out another 7 turns. The second annoyance is the card upgrades... If you can call them that, 95% of the time your card loses stats and increases in cost. Its VERY rare that trying to upgrade your card actually does anything positive.
Overall if you want to try it, wait for a sale. Even at $11 it can't be recommended.

Juego muy bueno y entretenido de colección de cartas y estrategia.
Al principio a mi no me interesaba mucho por como se veía en la partida los personajes y que no se parecen en nada a las cartas xD pero al jugarlo me fui dando cuanta de lo profundo e interesante que es la estrategia para cada carta o baraja.
En pocas palabras para mi el juego esta bien, es divertido y entretiene por muchas horas mas si quieres completarlo, porque es largo.
(Por cierto en tema de gráficos no podemos decir mucho tampoco porque este juego viene de ps vita)
La historia es interesante pero tampoco algo de otro mundo.
Para mi lo que gana mas son las cartas y la estrategias que podes hacer. Ps: Tremendas arte tienen <3 >w<

This is a pretty unique strategy game. Monster Monpiece has cute girls in various states of dress. The goal of the game is that the characters need to walk across a chess like board to get to the other side much like making a pawn into a queen in chess. If you like anime girls and strategy this will be a good choice.

Once you learn how the card game works and start using Rub P to level up your cards, at first, this game is a lot of fun. But especially if you clear every node on each map, this game gets very repetitive. For the most part, you won't be making a new deck and maybe will swap out a card or two between chapters. Your main way up upgrading your deck is using Rub P to change the stats of your cards.
There are maybe 4 or 5 sprites total for the cards on the board so even when you get a cute card, it'll be the same figure on the board. Once you hit a groove and have buffed cards, you'll be basically repeating the same battle over and over to continue the plot. While it seems doable, suddenly in the part 2 of the game, the enemy has a lot stronger cards and even earlier, they have +2 fairy cards that give bonus mana either when summoned or killed, that you can't find in card packs. The sudden jump in difficulty and the repetitiveness of the game makes it feel pointless to play past the first half of the game.
TL;DR Good to pass the time while watching something but gets repetitive quickly and a sudden change in difficulty in the second half of the game makes this game not worth playing past this point
