Loved this game! It was super cute. The strory was lovely (and it had a good ending. I liked the crafting and the market and the puzzles were just challenging enough. The only thing I didn't like was how short it was but that is a good complaint to have!

The definition of a cozy game! The soundtrack is beautiful as well as the visuals. It's just so cute! Definitely check this out if you are wanting something relaxing to start. I already have so many hours in this game and feel like I've barely scratched the surface of unlocking things and discovering the story.

Mineko's Night Market Is a cute little game about resource gathering, crafting and building up a little town. Something mildly resembling animal crossing. It's neat, but my biggest problem is that there is no way to save other than by going to sleep, which forces the start of a new ingame day.

Other things include not being able to use the D-pad to navigate menus, menu navigation and inventory management in general is handicapped. There's something nice, relaxing, cute and funny here but a huge lack of QoL make it actually annoying to play.

The resource and money-making loop is just tiring. You have limited time in a day, so you need to choose locations carefully, spend energy and if you've got food in your inventory you can re-up your energy 3 times in any given day. Gather resources, sell them off or use them to make some crafts, repeat until Saturday's night market which is where you make most of your money, and also where you get exclusive items you can't find elsewhere in the game. You can see how quickly this becomes tiring.

Overall, it just didn't really hook me in and those issues just compounded and pushed me away. There is something that could be better here, but the little things just add up and the game ends up being a chore.

This game has a lot of potential to be really fun, but the grinding loop is so dull. You gather flowers for several days, then you grind towards being able to unlock other things but the day-to-day gameplay drags on. I gave it a solid shot for 4 hours and came to the conclusion that it just wasn't any fun.

It's not a particularly bad game, but the gameplay loop gets tiring quickly. it doesn't help that the gameplay stays almost exactly the same the entire game. It has both a puzzle/stealth aspect and a resource gathering/crafting aspect, but they interfere with each other in level design. There's no movement abilities, and the running speed is too slow for a game you spend most of your time walking around the same areas to collect the same resources. It takes too much play time for the small amount of game, and it sometimes feels bloated.

I think it would be significantly more enjoyable if the game was a third of the length and a third cheaper.

I really wanted to love this game. It's so cute, and I love the animations, but the tedious gameplay and repetition was too much.

Love the art and writing but there are a few issues that make the game hard to recommend:
1. Controller support feels underbaked. It sapports left stick but not dpad. No B support to quit menus but instead you have to either use the same key you used to open the menu or move cursor to the close button then press A. Adding friction to the game.
2. Some resource stage are designed to be mazes, which is fine during the quest, but a chore to go through when farming resources. Since they often lack shortcuts, after farming for what you want you have to run all the way back out, which feels like a waste of time.
3. No option to squeeze multiple fish at a time or customize how many items you want to sell at a store, so you either have to sell one by one or sell them all.

Yeah, it's a very stylish game with some funny writing, but could really use some more qol and polish imo.

Quand j'ai lancé Mineko's Night Market pour la première fois, j'ai été totalement enchanté. L'univers coloré, l'humour absurde et les activités avaient tout pour me plaire (dommage pour le jeu de pêche qui, pour une fois, ne m'a pas rendu accro). Cela me faisait même penser un peu à Stardew Valley, mais une version où on exploite une gamine pour rénover un village (et même une région) tout entier. Tout simplement excellent !

Et puis sont apparus les premiers problèmes :
- d'abord techniques, puisqu'il m'était impossible malgré tous mes tests, de capturer correctement le jeu pour mes lives, ce dernier ayant une sorte de filtre le rendant plus sombre et plus saturé.
- puis ergonomiques car rien ne permettait de classer ou ranger son inventaire proprement, de pouvoir vendre plusieurs items en même temps (c'est un item par un ou la totalité d'un item), ou d'en fabriquer plusieurs sans avoir à relancer les mini-jeux.
- enfin des bugs qui m'ont empêché de finir certaines quêtes annexes.

J'ai voulu l'aimer de tout mon cœur ce petit jeu, car il avait vraiment tout pour m'accueillir dans quelque chose de doux et sympa. Mais il restera ce petit jeu moyen que j'ai fini très facilement en me prenant un peu la tête !

Vous pouvez malgré tout y jouer, les personnages sont attachants et l'histoire est sympa. Mais vous serez prévenu que même si le jeu est censé être chill, un peu de finitions supplémentaires aurait aidé à le rendre plus attachant encore !

Cute enough game. My kindergartener enjoyed playing it. But it has to be the worst optimized game I’ve ever played. Load screens are almost a full minute on the Steam deck. Makes no sense for a game with such simple graphics and mechanics.

It's a fun game and the day mechanics, while restrictive, are unique and don't take away from game play, instead it requires some strategic thinking. The story is fun and easy to follow. Some of the mini games can be frustrating, like waiting for the fish in the fishing game, sewing and woodworking are the bane of my Mineko existence. Overall, this game is a lot of fun.

This is a cute and cozy game. The only things that are holding me back from giving it a higher grade is because of some bugs.
-In the fall, there's a bush near the ramen shop that keeps flickering and I don't think that's intended.
-When eating food the comment about the food cannot be dismissed and it covers up mini games ESPECIALLY mining where the timing is important. Either make the message dismissable, disable the ability to start the mining game, or auto dismiss the message when the mining game has started.

Quality of life improvements that could make it so much better:
-When in the inventory, it doesn't save the last place you were in. If you were looking for fish you have to tab over to it again and again.
-When selecting a busstop, you cannot cancel the selection process if you forgot something in the village screen.
-Why isnt all harvestable items craftable, it kinda seems pointless to harvest sparkily rocks if they arent gonna be used.

Changed resolution in-game, restarted and could never get the game to run anymore.
Tried multiple solutions but game just wouldn't start. Visible in taskbar but that's it.
Wanted to refund, but tested it on my Steamdeck and it works fine.
So will continue playing there, hopefully I don't regret this decision!
Still disappointing start since I wanted to game on PC.

CURRENT THOUGHTS:

Played a little on Steamdeck and if it wasn't for me getting tired I would still continue for hours on end. I find myself quite captivated by this game! The art style is gorgeous, the gameplay is fun and the characters whimsical!

A lovely, pretty cozy game with a wink and a nod to the fourth wall--right up my alley. Mineko and her dad move to an island (for reasons I never quite got) and she gets pulled into all sorts of adventures with the faintly New-Jersey-Mafia Agents searching for a giant spirit cat.
There are plenty of side quests to keep you busy while you unlock the central narrative, although I wish I'd realized how season-locked a lot of resources are. The townsfolk are hilariously specific and one-dimensional but the central, weekly Night Market brings everything together in a pleasing bouquet of weird.
If you're into resource management cozy games, this is your jam. If you're into low-stakes danger, this is also your jam. I'm underwhelmed by the conclusion of the main narrative, but this is just fun to play.

While an interesting, whimsical game easy to lose hours into, it is also incredibly, deeply flawed due to bugs. So many bugs. Many ways to soft-lock yourself, and it becomes incredibly laggy on loading screens, sometimes crashing during them. There is only auto-save, and it only occurs at the morning of each day, so if your game crashes, you'll have to redo the entire day.
The storyline is cute, and there are some fun mechanics, but I also feel like I was able to speed through the game with ease, there is zero challenge. Which is great for some, but zero challenge+tons of bugs=I started to not enjoy the game at the end. And the end left me incredibly confused, due to the reappearance and then subsequent re-disappearance of a side character, without any explanation.
I can't recommend this game, as the bugs are frustrating, and the ending is lacking. No replayability either, for me.

The dialogue is great but the gameplay falls flat. There's not enough interesting things to do outside of the Night Market, which makes each week tend to drag. The pacing of unlocking recipes is frustrating because you're mostly unlocking things that you don't yet have access to the materials to craft.

The controls are not great. It's not as buggy as other users reported, but it's not super fun either.

Having to stock up to make money on Saturday only is a frustrating game loop. I felt like I was spinning my wheels, wasting time 3/4 of the game, because I needed 1 item to turn in that was available next season.

I gave up on the beach level where the game wanted me to wear an outfit, but didn't tell me that until I was there. Wasted a whole half-day for literally no reason, they could have just given it to me then, or told me to put it on, etc.

The wiki is useless, and most questions online go to a now-banned subreddit. So good luck figuring out things that aren't instantly clear.

Si y no. Es complicado darle una reseña. Hermoso juego y hermosas ilustraciones, escenarios y personajes pero el sistema de farmeo es demasiado largo y repetitivo. Obtienes muy pocos recursos para la cantidad de crafteo necesario, termine la historia principal pero ya no me quedan ganas de levelear el mercado ni la relacion con los vecinos ni los museos. El sistema de pesca random + pescados=tinta tambien estuvo fatal. Tantas horas pescando tratando de conseguir medusas para la tinta rosa y nunca salian, detuvo todo el proceso con los pedidos.

原来是Alphabear和未尽之路的画师，而且竟然是温哥华人，这下必须支持一波了。

原价略贵，半价买的感觉还算行，简单说就是收集物品制作高级物品然后拿到每周一次的夜市去卖钱，逐渐升级夜市等级并解锁更多新功能，夜市还有各种限时活动，初见的时候很有意思，比如演剧那个就挺有新意的，要根据自身角色和上下文选择台词和做动作，等后期夜市升级到最高之后感觉就真的是用逛夜市的心态在玩，玩具啊食物啊看到有感兴趣的就买（食物种类还是蛮丰富的），挺有代入感，可能是小时候有过类似的去沈阳兴隆大家庭顶楼儿童乐园玩各种类似的游戏项目然后拿一堆奖品回家的经历hhh

早期还是要尽快推进主线的，工艺品能在夜市高价卖出的不多，还是要尽快拿到小卖店里卖然后买工具解锁新区域，毕竟推进主线能更早升级体力上限，相当于每天的免费体力更多，就能采集更多资源了。

不过比较诡异的就是为什么染料是通过给鱼榨汁得到的，一般类似的游戏里都是从花里提取的吧XD 而且这游戏的花是季节性的，夏天樱花用完了基本就只能等夜市出甚至是明年春天，所以感觉还是所有花都在所有季节可用但是当季的花出率更高会比较好。然后就是退出游戏的时候竟然不说一声游戏只在每天开始时保存，于是初期有一天我是临睡觉前退出的，这一天白干了XD 还有一次在码头买便当的时候不知道为啥直接控制失灵了，按什么都不好使，只能强退，一天又白干了XD 然后很多工艺的小游戏判定有点迷，缝纫有时候明明在轨迹上直接就变废品（这在使用很多稀有原料时真的瞬间高血压），绘画的时候真的看不清障碍判定点在什么地方，宝石有很多时候根本是无解的，同色宝石一个落在最左一个落在最右XD 还有就是早期老爸的嘴脸属实有点观感不适了，让女儿上天入地手搓树屋花园盆景，自己就坐在客厅里念叨着什么时候让自己发财，有点下头XDDD

总体来看算是优缺点都比较明显吧，有点像低配星露谷，能把缺点再打磨一下的话就可以算是佳作了。

25小时全成就！花了游戏内一年半的时间，主要是基本要到第一年夏季才能基本实现财务自由然后注意收集季节限定的夜市食物和鱼，比如夏季限定的蓝色龙虾、荞麦凉面、饭团串、秋季限定的河豚、炸豆腐、炒面热狗等等。两条黄金鲶鱼倒是没想象中难出，雨雪天去冰湖钓鱼没多久就出了，省了不少事——这么一看感觉整个流程最折磨的是老爸拉面馆的那五个破瓷碗，不知道去了多少次峭壁海滩，还需要大量红颜料，直接等夜市卖红鲷鱼然后批量购入吧，别去码头辛辛苦苦钓了XD

Really cute and fun game. Loved the artsyle and the music was beautiful. I didn't enjoy the RNG of trying to 100% the achievements, which involved getting specific items which were tied to a merchant that has a random chance of selling the item, or trying to get the item from the night market. I tried for 3 seasons to get 2 items for villager quests, and then gave up. Would otherwise recommend the game for the story and all of the other positives.

this game is so fun despite the nervous tick motion Mineko does after harvesting something.. reminds me of this cringey guy on reels doing Bella from Twilight scenes. i can't quite seem to forget that.

about 5 hours in my game froze at the bus stop, i think i was pushing the enter button too quickly between options and it glitched on me and i was unable to select any options after. i spent some time trying to debunk it and free myself but that may have been a 'me' problem because i didn't find ANYTHING online posted about the problem i was having. it sucked having to close and reopen the game to start the day over but thankfully it was my first bus stop and i hadn't done much else other than catch fish.

the fact that this game is ran on a calendar day system (like other games i.e. harvest moon etc) makes it feel full and structured to me where i am only comfortable playing it if i know i can spend and hr or two at my computer however being able to choose how long the days are (based on bus trips) is refreshing

А теперь минусы! ВОЗМОЖНЫ СПОЙЛЕРЫ
Главный минус игры - то, как построен игровой процесс. А именно то, как он беспощадно затянут.
[spoiler] В один момент я застряла на несколько часов и не могла продвинуться по сюжету, потому что нужных мне ресурсов не было (не соответствовала сезонность), и приходилось проходить полные игровые недели гринда, чтобы ВОЗМОЖНО купить ресурсы на ночном маркете.
Для меня все еще загадка, почему никак не устроена нормально система торговли на острове: почему у меня нет вариативности покупки ресурсов (хоть какой-то) в течение недели. Например, в ходу красная краска, которая получается из рыб. Ок. Идем на рыбалку, чтобы нарыбачить БУТЫЛКУ С ЗАПИСКОЙ. Серьезно, шанс вылова бутылки или игрушечной рыбки выше, чем шанс выловить непосредственно рыбу.
Про эти бутылки: по началу из них можно получить манулы к разному типу крафта, а потом это бутылка с одной и той же запиской про рамунэ. К концу игры у меня их скопилось около 50-ти.
Ресурсы типа веток тутового дерева/глины - собираешь мало, а требуется много. Прекрасный способ растянуть игровой процесс. Но они хотя бы нужны. А есть локация, в которой ты собираешь песок. Используется ли песок в мануалах? Нет. Но послать за ним Никко можно.
Взаимодействие с npc. Тут просто непонятно что и зачем. Сначала за заполнение их шкалы лояльности (сердечек) ты получаешь все те же мануалы для крафта. но потом это бесконечный поток конфет "кошечка", розового кварца и черной лапши. Алло, разработчики, у вас в игре нет больше ресурсов? На сюжетный контент заполнение этой лояльности не влияет в общем-то никак. На получаемые предметы - тоже. Они дают одно и то же за помощь.
А еще можно предметы продавать: или 1, или сразу все одного типа из инвентаря. Почему нельзя собирать это в список - загадка. [/spoiler]
Контента в игре достаточно, но он весь поверхностный и недоработанный, как будто не придумали что вообще с ним делать.
Помимо этого чем дальше вы двигаетесь по сюжету, тем менее игра становится оптимизированной. Некоторые анимации перестают подгружаться, не высвечиваются шкалы лояльности (а у меня при смене времени года постоянно куст мигал). Загрузочные экраны начинают подлагивать.

Все это в сумме дает негативные впечатления от игры, потому что от нее ожидаешь 10-15 часов адекватного игрового контента (и гринд после концовки для желающих), но по факту из игры сделали резинку, которую тянут тянут тянут.

宝石クラフトは絶対に受け止められないパターンが頻出します。
結果、大量にクラフト品を作ってマーケットに持ち込むのを諦めて
ラムネを大量に買い込んで転売するようになりました。本末転倒です

・アイテムを使うごとにメイン画面に戻る、カーソル位置もリセット
・魚をまとめて絞れない（個数も選べない）
・アイテムを1個売るか全部売るかしかない
（1個売るとメニューが閉じるので80個のうち20個だけ売る、とかは時間がかかります）
とにかく決定やキャンセル、選択の度に妙な不便さがあります

進行の度にマップが広く複雑になっていきますが脱出ワープなどはなく、
奥の奥まで行ったらまた自力で戻らなくてはいけないです

トータルで観れば楽しめたかな～…？という感じですが、手放しでおススメはできないです

The MAIN story can be accomplished in less than 1 calendar year of the game, if that's all you're going for then you could finish it in under 20 hours easily. If you like to complete all achievements it will take you longer as a lot of the characters "could you help me find" tasks involve the night market and a lot of them won't show up until way later due to the market level up system or the chance of them appearing is low.

The only real downside is the "could you help me find" rewards are often not helpful and you'll end up with a lot of food items, namely drinks, which only heal 1/2 heart and they don't sell well in the market or to NPCs.

Also could we have had the dye mechanic be flowers and not fish? There's something really gross about squeezing fish for dyes.

Beautiful, frustrating game. The frequent bug crashes (and inability to save outside of ending the in-game day), the fact that some villagers just disappear for weeks at a time (not plot related), the grinding for resources can be agonizingly slow, the inconsistencies in the storyline (especially at the end)... I wanted to love this game with such a beautiful art style and backing track, but can't bring myself to 100% everything with how laggy and buggy it is. Sad that I guess the developers are just over it?

Holy mother of lag/loading screens, Batman. For full disclosure, I play on a Steamdeck.

I loved this game SO much until about hour 9 or 10 I would say. And then suddenly it was just so. impossibly. slow. to load. The "let me set my Steamdeck down and scroll Tiktok for a few minutes until this loading screen goes away" kind of slow. That's not a fun way to play a game.

This isn't a resource-heavy game. You're loading areas where there's perhaps 10 characters present, and they aren't necessarily performing complicated actions. Games like Fallout 4 load better for me than this game. I don't understand why it's so slow. I absolutely hit a point where it just wasn't fun to wait that long for the game to load, especially when there's not all that much to do in each area that it loads (it's not like, say, Dragon Age: Inquisition loading an entire region).

From what I could play, it's a fun little game with pretty clear progression steps and mechanics. It is satisfying to help revive the town and get to see new vendors pop up. But there's other games that simply play better that I'd absolutely recommend instead.

This game has incredible gameplay and a fantastic storyline. I love all the characters and different stations that you need for crafting materials. Always looking forward to market nights, and love the challenges when getting a new island. One thing I am concerned about is the bugs. I currently cant get into my game because it loads me into a pink screen. There are also plenty of other bugs. Would enjoy this game much more if the bugs were fixed.

Very chill and adorbs crafting adventure game with a nice soundtrack and cute story line. The puzzles are simple but still interesting. A few bugs still (visual & menu related). For the menu bugs, I've mostly gotten around them by opening and closing the menu option a few times like when donating things. The dev has been open about some of the challenges with addressing existing bugs in the game Discord but it feels promising that they're still working on it.

I'm about 30 hours in and still working through the story and achievements. It can get frustrating if you realize you didn't collect enough of a season specific item that you need to progress, but at least there's still a chance that it'll show up at the night market for you to buy off-season.

A perfect cozy style indie game for gamers who like a mix of story, folklore, Japanese culture, crafting items to sell, and lots of cats. I enjoy the ease of getting into the flow of things in this game, you unlock new recipies by fishing or gifting requested items you can craft or buy for villagers. You also have a booth at the weekly night market that you can sell all your crafted items for money in a marketplace style game and play mini-games. You do all this while unlocking the mystery of Nikko, a mythical cat that is worshiped by the locals of Mount Fugu who agents seem to be trying to hunt down.

I can only soft-recommend this game. It was super cute and cozy, with a really cute story line !!! However, it gets extremely frustrating at the end :(

If you are trying to complete the game, it takes so long to get certain items from Ruby. Not only that, but the Dad's ramen achievement is buggy. I wish I knew the achievements from the beginning, because I would have tried to attain then from the start. Instead, I had to sleep through entire seasons just to catch certain fish or get certain foods/items from the Night Market. By the end of the game, I was just annoyed, and everything became a chore to me.

As cute as the game is, I also just wish that the game had a more linear path. In order to reach 5 hearts with certain villagers, you still need to finish other parts of the story; it all just turns into one big mess. At the night market, I end up just buying several of the same item. I also just buy every item from Ruby.

The game definitely just feels like a grind after some point.

Overall, the game is cute and I CAN recommend it, but don't expect too much.

Don't be fooled by my playtime. I realize I only have a few hours here on steam, but I have multiple on my switch which is where I originally bought this game.

Despite the common belief that loading and switch gameplay is bad, that isn't why I bought Mineko's Night Market on Steam. I actually don't have a problem with my switch gameplay at all and that's where I originally fell in love with this game. Actually, I bought it here because I do just REALLY enjoy the game itself. I realize it can get repetitive after you beat it, but for my ADHD riddled brain sometimes that repetitiveness is great. The game is cozy, relaxing, enjoyable and overall has amazing art and aesthetics.

I know some people complain about the loading times and bugs, but I haven't had issues with bugs and the loading times hardly seem that bad to me (maybe because I'm used to the switch? I don't know.)

It's a good game though and it's been one of my favorites since I got it, honestly. If you like cozy games, this is def a must have imo.

I've just finished unlocking all the achievements for this game. There are a couple of seasonal foods to unlock by the second year and the spawn rate for some items does make it a bit grindy from time to time. There are quite the number of visual glitches here and there that might get annoying after a while, but all in all it's a nice game. It reminds me of Animal Crossing in a good way! :)

I was drawn in by the visuals. It's such a cute game with a good soundtrack and fun story, but I will say I was frustrated by the end of it. Not because of the story and thankfully I didn't run into many crashes except one, but trying to finish the achievements. One bug that I would run into is when at the Night Market with low hearts, I would try the fishing game and Mineko would say she was too tired so when I would go to eat something if I was standing too close to Koji I would get stuck and so I would need to restart the day.
If you are a completionist, you'll find the food museum frustrating. I finished the game before the end of year 1 and every other achievement by the end of year 2. I finally got all food in the beginning of year 4. One tip would be to just buy two of every food at the Night Market, one for the museum and the other for the villager.
I do wish some resource collecting was more abundant, but it is a game of mining. Overall, I did enjoy the game but I'm glad I got it on sale

I'd recommend this game. It's very cute, the soundtrack is nice, and the balance is mostly okay. The last 25% of the game is pretty painful (it devolves into just sleeping away the days to try and get a few rare foods that are nearly impossible to get early game that you need for final achievements), and there are some game-breaking bugs towards the end (too much food in the inventory breaks the ability to donate it to the museum, the achievement for dad's ramen breaks the game a few times and idk why, [spoiler]why are the agents still at the markets after defeating them, where did Hank go, why doesn't the flavour text change when you're at the final evolution of the night market, why does Nikko suddenly return to do chores with zero dialogue after getting his 'you can't see him again' ending etc.[/spoiler]) The fishing mechanic is simultaneously easy but feels incredibly time-consuming considering how much you need to do it. Some of the crafting mini-games require levels of timing that feel quite cruel at times (the wood game and the paper game in particular) and would definitely be inaccessible to quite a lot of folks. Thankfully you're usually allowed one mistake to make a non-perfect item, and you don't need to make any perfect items to get through the game. (Later you also gain the ability to recycle your fails).

Overall this game had some heartfelt moments, I wish we knew more about Mineko and her Dad, but I found Mineko and Nikko's relationship very touching and sweet. The artwork is also very beautiful.

Loved the art style, music, characters, but dang this game is a slow, buggy mess that has absolutely no respect for your time. There are no mouse controls, which would help a bit. It is so frustrating to finally get an item you need only to get softlocked and need to restart the day, which means you've lost your rare item(s) and all the progress you made. I want to finish this game so badly, but I've hit my limit of bugs and crashes.

Linux performance for this game is great. It's not solid, but it's great.

The game is awesome. It's cozy and it has a heartwarming story. More importantly, unlike most life sim cozy game of its nature, it has an official ending. The gameplay can be repetitive at times, but when it gets going, it really gets going. This game feels nostalgic somehow, it does feel like an old DS game. The art style is very cute as well.

The game's not perfect, of course. There are several bugs to watch out, some minor, some possibly game breaking. The agent's hitbox could be refined more as there were times when the agents should've totally noticed me and times when they shouldn't have noticed me.

Mineko's Night Market is a cutesy Japanese-inspired crafting sim where you play as a little girl moving to a strange new island full of cats. As a huge fan of this genre, I was looking forward to this game and its super cute visual style. Unfortunately, my time with it wasn't as cozy as I was led to believe. The game is riddled with bugs, often crashing the game and resetting progress for the whole day. I don't mind grinding, but the drop rate on some required items feels like a glitch itself. There isn't a lot to do, so even from very early on I was waking up and going to sleep just to fast forward time. The game has quirky dialogue and adorable visuals, and I really enjoyed it conceptually, but by the end, I was frustrated at the lack of polish and enraged at the total absence of any quality of life features for a 2023 game (I can't press B to exit a menu?). This game would have been an easy recommendation if it had been in development for a little longer, but the developers now don't seem interested in fixing the many issues with it. I had fun playing this game, and the visuals and quirky humor really shine, but unfortunately, it's too much of a technical mess for me to feel good recommending it.

I've decided to write about this one a bit more in-depth since my community didn't enjoy it.

So why do I recommend it? It is a repetitive errand-running game that has elements that are an absolute annoyance (looking at the beach), some really weird interactions between NPCs and our character (looking at you, dad), among lots and lots of visual bugs and lazy decisions (windows having sunlight during the night, some occurrences in the night market itself).

每个地图开辟的时候都有潜行游戏，前期潜行配合轻微解谜，偶尔会有村民来帮忙，中期开始部分地图需要一人控制两个角色潜行+解谜，后期的秘密大楼太好玩了，还有爬富士山的解谜环节，整体设计的非常精彩，感觉这是游戏的大亮点。中期猫咪之神会帮忙收集各类资源，极大的解放劳动力，保护玩家的肝。夜市也是一大亮点，是我最喜欢的环节，在夜市卖手工艺品挣的钱马上开始买买买，还可以抽奖、套圈圈、开盲盒，夜市的舞台剧、骑猫猫比赛等等都很有意思，每个季节会有不同颜色的奖杯。

我最喜欢的几个NPC：
猫咪之神----主线结尾的那句话“原来它还记得我”让人非常感动，再大的意难平也平了！
宫子----犀利的小女孩，胆大敢为，骑猫比赛的常胜将军，直到秋天，我才超过她。
老爸----有一说一老爸给的拉面太实惠了，有了老爸拉面的助力，钓鱼收集一天搞定。
大块头汉克----性格好，有良心，连老太太都喜欢汉克背包！
黑衣特务----作为反派，他们实在是太可爱了，每次开辟新地图的潜行游戏，我都憋不住笑。
外卖小哥----我把他的衣服扒了自己穿，于是后面他找了一个只需要穿一个裤衩就行的工作。

玩这种游戏不要卷，静静享受解谜及经营的成就感，细细体验剧情，比看一整套故事都开心。

This game is so cute and so fun and you can't enjoy it at all. Played it on the steam deck because I was warned it doesn't work on the switch. This game you literally wake up with a long loading screen, walk out your front door long loading screen, walk to the store long loading screen, walk to bus stop long loading screen, I can play another game during the loading time my play time is 75% loading screen what is wrong with this game

this is the kind of game you can get absolutely trapped in for hours and hours before you realize it (i have so many times omg). the story is so heartfelt, and the characters are so silly! it's easy to play and full of fun little minigames. i'm having a blast!

Oh boy... Where to even start with this one... First of all I'm gonna be nice and say everything i liked before i go on a titanic rant about the millions of small and big things in this game that bothered me to no end, and also just left me with a sour feeling when i was done. It is an incredible game in some ways and a failure in others so let's get down to it.

First the gameplay is functional and you can easily get into a fun rhythm of resource grinding, crafting and then selling your things while progressing the story along slowly. It's quite easy but i don't think that's an issue, it feels like it wants to be a casual experience for everyone.
Second it looks gorgeous, it's a really cute style that i personally like a lot, and i also loved the focus on more rural japanese culture and cats in particular. Love me some cats.
Also i liked some of the characters quite a bit, like Miyako and Mineko's blossoming friendship, the Lulu girl and the Tomori? Scientist daughter girl. Quite cute characters.

Gonna preface everything i'm about to say with i did enjoy myself most of my time with the game and i am gonna recommend it in the end but i think a lot of these things i'm gonna mention are inexcusable for a game that has been out for almost a year. This is gonna be a long list of me ranting and some are small mistakes while others are giant and in no particular order cause i can't be bothered. I hope these things gets fixed with time, but this was how the game was when i played it.

1: There was so much clipping in this game of my character just getting covered by background objects and random parts of the map where the walls would just overlap my character.
2: Half the time when you shovel the animation just doesn't start. This also happened several times with picking stuff up, petting cats, building so on
3: Sounds would bug out and just not play at all randomly.
4: I have no idea why the game doesn't have a "select amount" option so you can only sell ALL of your stuff or 1, there is no inbetween, Same with buying items in bulk i can only scroll through the numbers one at a time... So frustrated. Also you can only squeeze one fish at a time? Why not just have a squish all option when you have a discard all one? I don't get why these systems are so selective in being good and having lots of options and some are just crap. Fix this please make it universal that all have all options...
5. It is actually inexcusable that this game doesn't have a hard save in the menu and you can only save by going to bed and rolling forward to the next day. Especially since the game randomly froze for me on 3 separate occasions, during the evening so i lost my entire days work because it rolls me back to the morning. Please add a manual save option or fix your ♥♥♥♥ so it doesn'y crash or freeze in the middle of the gameplay without the game autosaving... It's so frustrating i almost refunded this game twice.
6. I don't get the end so spoilers ahead
[spoiler]Why does the town and Nico just go back to before we fly there with the balloon after you finish the game but it's clearly after it since the balloon is there and you have the mask. Why is villagers so dumb and just repeating the same dialogue over and over again? Bobo keeps telling me he swear he saw him even right before the end game, please make your npcs more immersive...[/spoiler]
7: The dialogue was WAY to verbose, there is just way to much flavor text and unimportant random crap thrown into the dialogue, that makes it unbearable to sit through and honestly i just skipped through most of it cause it was so badly written and there was soo much of it.
8: Give me the kimono and black cat outfit to wear in gameplay and not just the plays at the night market >_>
9: The post endgame grind is so annoying and i wish i hadn't bothered honestly. You can't skip the night market so you have to sit through 4 separate night market's to go forward a season if you need a specific fish or snack for the museums. Please just allow me to skip a season or the night market after i complete the game.
10: On that note the night market forces you to participate in the main event every single time, and you can't skip it. Also you have to do the 2 laps in the race or the game just stops and everyone is frozen until you do it. Also you can just run the opposite direction and still win which i find funny. Also also you can still win and get the trophies even if you lose all the events and suck at them on purpose which is a bit lame. Why even bother trying when i just get pity points.
11: the crafting for wood and sewing in particular was so finnicky at times and just made me not wanna bother doing them, also i don't get why the npcs just don't want certain items. I had like 7 different items at the end that i crafted 2 seasons ago and no one would buy them at the market???
12: Lastly while the agent sequences had their moments most of them were lame and repetetive. Please just make some more variety with them. Also they could have made more mini games for harvesting,

If you can live with these yeah sure i recommend, but if you find any of this annoying skip this until it's fixed or get it on sale, or something.

this is such a cute game! it has adorable graphics, charming characters and fun dialogue, but just know that it's a very "errandy" kind of game so it might not suit your tastes if you're not into that kind of thing! me personally i like carrying out tasks so it's enjoyable for me. the game does glitch occasionally but it's not unbearable, and also the story moves quite slowly as you're basically just doing the same menial tasks each week. one thing that really irks me is the fishing mechanic T_T it's incredibly uninspired and tedious and really just takes me out of the game, i wish it was more interactive. other than that i rly liked it :) 8/10

Very cute and soothing with lovely art. The gameplay focuses on a weekly cycle, so don't expect too much progress on any given day; most unlocks will come after you get cash from the weekly Night Market. Weekdays are pretty much just foraging. Dashing/sneaking is important for rescuing cats to open new areas, and the townsfolk will send you on fetch quests and give you crafting recipes. If you like those things, this is the kind of thing you'll like!

I'd recommend this for anyone who likes a cozy and full of cats games! The level of the mission is easy.

but I wish we can upgrade our tools just to get more items or get it more faster especially when fishing, sometimes I yawning waiting for it TᴖT . . . also there's still a bug as the leaf glitching between green and orange on Autumn even this game came out years ago ( •᷄‎ࡇ•᷅ )

After finishing the main story, this game is absolutely precious and wholesome. However, there are a BUNCH of glitches, one of which was nearly game breaking for me (don't ever change your resolution). Others required me to start entire days over (don't get caught on the snowy mountain 3 times, don't click through the fishing booth dialogue to fast). Then there were others that effected absolutely nothing, but were still present (that one bush that doesn't adjust with the seasons, outfit changing back after every night market). This sometimes made the game feel annoying, not worth it, and repetitive. However, when it was functioning as it should, the game was amazing. Just be super wary of glitches and bugs. I don't see the devs ever fixing these, but I do hope they will.

Fun little game. Sadly it has a few bugs and glitches, like items that don't leave your inventory after you sold them, your character being off-screen or just being unable to move sometimes. Apart from that I enjoyed the experience, especially because there is no pressure related to day and night time passing by. Cute artstyle, nicely designed items and heavily relies on cats!!! <3

Overall, I like the game. The artstyle is amazing, the crafting is fun, mini-games make it more engaging, and you can pet cats! It's a grindy game, but I like picking up every flower and furball I see, and that sort of gameplay is relaxing to me because I feel accomplishment. It can be repetitive, but if you look forward to the goal enough, it's not so bad.

I think what falls flat is the dialogue.
I'm expecting a village with rich history and welcoming to the main character Mineko because she just moved in, and everything is so different for her, but what you end up getting for most of the dialogue is crafting requests from each of the villagers until you give them what they requested and then new dialogue that asks for something else. The requesting stuff only changes once you give them everything they ask for and the only thing they can say is the same thing when you interact with them. The game jokes about her being the errand girl, but I wish the relationships she's apparently building in cut-scenes is actually seen in gameplay too.

The game's night time market of bustle and buzz is so juxtaposed with empty dialogue. There was potential of having something more heartfelt if there was better direction for the NPC idle dialogue like side story options with some villagers with special mini games for them since they all have their own quirks and interests. That would have been cool and I would have felt more involved as new girl Mineko.

It's disappointing because there's clearly a great team of dialogue writers, but they weren't instructed past doing a few cutscenes and fetching requests. Nonetheless, I still enjoy the game for what it has. Its atmosphere with changing seasons, the growing of the Night Market, the personality of the characters, and the art direction. Despite the criticism I give it on its lack of dialogue making the game feel a bit vapid, there is still a unique atmosphere to Mineko's Night Market that I haven't seen yet. You still look forward to the night market and that feeling of "Oh man, what new thing will I see and get to collect next be?!" is still what gets to me the same way a real night market would have. Or and instance of "what will the next new season bring?", "What new person(s) will I get to meet at the new location?", etc.

It's worth a buy when on sale if you are into the art style, mystical-ness, crafting, and collecting! It would be a disservice to not appreciate the team's hard work on those details too. But if you're like me, and also wanted something to fill you with the warmth of villagers' stories and small town homeness with those mechanics, this game might not fully check those marks.
