One of the better ones. If you're looking for a fun idle game then Midas Gold Plus is a solid choice, despite the awkward choice for a name. After playing a few of these games i've come to realize that the interface really matters for games like these which become part of your daily routine. Thankfully Midas had a pleasant one.
It has some nice ideas included, like the pets and the spins, which make the routine a bit more fun. It doesn't require a lot to learn, barely anything really, so it's a low maintenance ride and it has plenty of things to unlock as you go.

It took me 11 months to get all the achievements here, and that's what i'll call an ending, since there's no real end. I'd definitely recommend it to people who are looking for something from this genre.

"Midas Gold Plus" is one of thousands of nasty browser games infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free, and it's not really a PC game... this is a glorified webpage.

This is just an incredibly lame browser clicker (play in your browser at Armor games apparently) that got dumped on Steam to try scam Steam gamers. There's PvP elements but largely you just click on stuff in your browser and you get a picture of a city and some numbers. The numbers are important for the (mostly dead) PvP scene, where the winner is determined by who gave the most money to the web developers behind this browser scam.

There's only a superficial "game" here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, this webpage is just a veneer wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app-like real money transaction cash shop.

Putting that toxic mobile app tier monetisation aside... this is a webpage. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could browse the web, and I don't think you did either... Steam isn't here to compete with Firefox and Chrome. The presence of this game on Steam is just a desperate attempt from a shady web developer to try scam a wider audience, an audience you certainly should not be part of.

This game is fairly dated at 8 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now.

Now on to pricing and value for gamers.

This game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this.

Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library?

Nope. There's no up front cost here, but I still feel like I got ripped off, and I didn't even spend any money. That's how bad this is.

Solides Spiel welches im Idle/HG laufen kann wenn man z.B. Homeoffice hat.
Ich bin durch das Spiel Holydaycity vom gleichen Publisher hierauf aufmerksam geworden.

Holydaycity hat mich knapp 600 Stunden im Idle/AFK "gekostet" um das durch zu spielen.
Geht vermutlich schneller, aber ich habe mit solchen Spielen auch noch nicht sooo die Erfarung gehabt.

Man merkt bei Midasgoldplus zumindest das es schon etwas älter ist, die Achievements sind deutlich grindlastiger.
Das mit dem Pet und den Raids ist Nice2Have und man kann so den ein oder anderen Boni sammeln. Ob der es dann Wert ist (3x3000% Einnahmenboost für 60 Sekunden nach nem 10h Raidtimer) muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden.

Es gibt einige Leute die 1600+ Stunden in das Spiel "investieren um es durch zu bekommen.
Aber man sollte sich im klaren sein das diese Spiele gemacht sind um im Hintergrund Zeit zu fressen.

Midas Gold Plus — это наглядный пример того, как жадность может задушить даже потенциально интересный проект. На первый взгляд, это вроде бы милый кликер с элементами прогрессии и рейдов, но за фасадом "залипательного" геймплея скрывается одна из самых агрессивных монетизаций, которую мне доводилось видеть в играх подобного жанра.

Разработчики, похоже, целенаправленно строили игру вокруг системы paywall'ов: прогрессия буквально рушится без постоянного вливания денег. После короткого периода "медового месяца", когда игра подкидывает минимальное количество ресурсов, начинается настоящее болото: апгрейды требуют всё больше, а награды — всё меньше. Единственный способ двигаться дальше — участвовать в рейдах.

И вот тут начинается самое "весёлое": весь прогресс завязан на рейд-лут, а система рейдов построена так, что или плати, или стой на месте. Причём платить предлагается за пиксели, которые не приносят ни новых механик, ни заметного разнообразия в геймплей — только более высокие циферки в ресурсах. Всё крутится вокруг чисел, которые перестают что-либо значить без постоянной денежной подпитки.

Контент? Условный. Новизны — ноль. Ощущение, что игра создана не ради интереса игрока, а ради постоянной "доилки" из кошелька. Каждая механика будто бы существует не для веселья, а чтобы замедлить игрока ровно до того момента, когда он, раздражённый, сдастся и нажмёт кнопку покупки.

Итог? Midas Gold Plus — это не игра, а ловушка для терпения и банковской карты. Здесь нет ни весомой мотивации, ни чувства награды, ни честной прогрессии. Просто нескончаемый цикл ожиданий, ограничений и навязчивых трат.

Оценка: 3/10.
Игра могла бы быть залипательной и увлекательной — если бы разработчики не поставили монетизацию выше интереса к своему проекту.

Pretty terrible 'idle' game to be honest.

This game is only idle in the sense that it takes an age to do anything because everything is timegated - of course, you can skip these timers with gems that you can buy with real money! There is absolutely zero automation and you will have to check back regularly to collect materials and kick off long timers for making food, going on raids, starting battles etc. Absent the timegates, it's not idle at all!

There are also not enough new mechanics to keep things interesting. You'll be doing much the same thing over and over again for hundreds of hours. Even with 100x speed and hacking hundreds of thousands of the premium currencies in, I still had to resort to idling an autohotkey script I wrote or risk getting repetitive strain injury from the tedious upgrade loops.

I played up until the last achievement, but I was in full sunk cost fallacy mode. Save yourself the tedium.

クッキークリッカーが登場しクリッカーというジャンルが生まれてそれほど時代が経ってない頃に生まれたフラッシュゲームの非フラッシュリメイク版
生まれたのがクリックゲーが成熟しきってない頃なんで、周回リソースを使うとその周回中稼ぎが減ったりとか、オンラインのブーストが12時間経ったら切れるとか、古いと言うか不便なところがそこそこある
でも敵倒してステージクリアとかではない、ひたすら数値が伸びていくのを楽しむSLG系のクリッカーとしては今でも結構楽しめるクオリティ
課金通貨がゲーム内でも稼げる手段があるんで課金する必要も薄い

The achievement hunter in me wanted to pick up another idle game for an easy win. Don't make my mistakes, I'm at 2500 hours and still have two left before I'm finally free.

There's very little content here even by idle game standards, but it still demands a lot of habitual "play" to progress. There's more that gets unlocked, but not a great deal.

The same "seasonal" event (the beer festival) has also been in effect for the entire time I've played, so I guess it is very much abandoned.

Way too geared to microtransactions, has 1 permanent "event" on loop, clearly reused assets, and progression that stalls to a halt. Oh, and no updates to the "new" pet mechanic in over 6 years. Would not recommend.

Recommended if you don't mind prestige systems.

Cute graphics, impactful clicking, lots of upgrades and tech to unlock, and a feeling of progression. Unfortunately for me, it came crashing to a halt with the prestige system. I find them to be lackluster by forcing you to repeat the same steps over and over to tedium. If you are ok with that, then it's not a bad little clicker game.

16 hours in - not accomplished anything ... well, it takes 24 hours to gather enough food for your pet to reach level 2 ... to be able to beat the second opponent in the arena ... not a lot of fun, if you do one fight and then have to wait for 24 hours to be able to win the second one ... but even worse is the time you need to level your character.
80 xp to reach level 2, you get 1 xp every two hours, IF you click on raid in time ... after some crafting, it just takes 1 hour 45 minutes to do so, but nonetheless, it takes at least 120 hours of activly clicking the raid (well, you can do the 10 hour raid, but that will only give you 3 xp, so you miss out a lot) .... funny thing: you need lvl 27 to unlock another feature of the game ...
so even if you just need 80 xp per level ( and i doubt, that you still need just 80 xp for the higher levels), you would spend nearly a year of playing this game for 8 hours a day, before doing so ... that is way too long, even for a free to play idle game ....
unlocking new champions? sure, you just need +e17 diamonds for the first unlock ... after 16 hours, i'm at +e9 ... so again, to unlock the champions, which will give more game options, you will spend days and days of grinding the same content, you already did after five minutes in the game. again, way too long to be a pleasure. ... so, that said: if you want to play for free, i would not play this game ... if you want to invest, then you could give it a try, because depening on how heavily you invest, you could do the grind of hours in mere seconds ;)

Прогрессия заточена под жуткий донат, т.к. накопленные бесплатно кристаллы и вложенные в усилители не дают видимого прироста, несмотря на показанный прирост в 1800000%. Просто жесть. Нет автоматизации включение нижних ускорителей, а каждую минуту заходить и тыкать их - бред сивой кобылы, который должен подталкивать игрока к донату. У меня 10000 каждого ускорителя, их хватит чтобы 166 часов каждую минуту включать вручную.
В библиотеке у меня есть категория пройденных игр, называется пройденные (хлам), вот туда и отправится данный мусор, когда она пройдётся (если), т.к. прогресс чем дальше, тем медленнее.

Un jeu génial, très prenant si on le souhaite, ou à jouer de temps en temps vu que les ressources augmentent seules. On a la possibilité d'acheter des gems et autre outils pour aller plus vite (avec de l'argent réel) mais on peut faire sans, il suffit d'être patient et organisé. 201 heures de jeu et je suis loin d'avoir fini. Je le recommande vivement vu qu'il est gratuit, essayez, vous n'avez rien à perdre à part un peu de temps, si vous n'aimez pas au bout du compte.

Early access game with room for improvements

Pro's
Cute little Idle/clicker, you can choose your style of play
Has some cool speed up features
It's f2p with optional small purchase options
Easy to play, shallow learning curve, but enough features to keep it interesting and give you goals to reach, i assume more will be added over time.

Cons
The game is not counting correctly, and thinks 100 billion is a trillion etc which can throw you a loser when spending diamonds on upgrades. if you are not aware of this. (to clarify, if you spend 10 million of your 1xbillion diamonds, thinking you are spending just 1%... you just spend 10% of them
there is a massive button to click (if you're playing as a clicker) which is too easy to click by mistake and lose your idle bonus (if you are playing idle mode)
The town graphic are poor, two of buildings look much alike (I found myself upgrading the wrong building)
No music volume slider (same 18 bars on a loop gets a bit tedious also)

All said and done, it's a nice little game that deserves to be played... try it for yourself !

This is the best Idle game I've come across. Mobile Idle games are terrible because they are all about the ads. PC Idle games usually start off well, get you hooked and it's a grind for 3/4 of it. Midas Gold Plus has slow spots during game play as expected, but overall there is a lot going on and each new stage gives a boost that keeps the game going. I have not finished the game, I'm around 700 hours in and I'm nowhere near done the game.
